[3:18] advantage valley magazine and the renewal of our ad

[3:50] and speak with you all today uh we're excited about the opportunity of

[3:54] starting the third annual edition of the live delay advantage valley multimedia

[3:58] program that consists of the regions from charleston here to

[4:03] huntington and in between and we've been working on this project for three years

[4:07] now and have had great success as far as in the way the employers are

[4:12] using the publication the partners like hadco are using the publication as not

[4:17] only a business recruitment tool but a talent recruitment tool

[4:21] and it's at this time it's so important because we're seeing a large talent

[4:25] migration from these bigger cities where people don't feel as safe they're very

[4:30] expensive so they're looking for more affordable places to live work and play

[4:35] so it's a great opportunity for the advanced valley area to really promote

[4:40] themselves you know to connect with these audiences and adam would like to

[4:44] share how the employers in the in the huntington area are using this great

[4:48] publication yeah i think uh taking more or less a leadership

[4:53] position i think of this magazine for the last couple

[4:57] years now you know we purchased a large ad space in the front part of this

[5:01] magazine really we started this a couple years

[5:04] ago actually it's pretty pandemics back in 2018 we started hearing this kind of

[5:08] feedback from some of the hospitals and some of our larger employers about

[5:11] the ability to attract talent to the area

[5:15] one of the concerns was that we really just don't have a showcase piece for the

[5:19] region to explain about the quality of life

[5:22] of our community and so oftentimes when let's say mountain health is trying to

[5:26] recruit a doctor it becomes a tough sell without something like this because you

[5:31] know that that doctor or engineer perhaps has to not only

[5:35] convince you know to not only see this as any place to live and a great job

[5:39] opportunity they also have to convince their spouse and their family that this

[5:42] is a great place to live so we've really seen this as a tool to help

[5:46] accomplish that of some of our area's largest employers we love this this is

[5:50] an organization called uh our presence here they live and you

[5:54] can take this out to a trade show and some companies that this is what our

[5:57] community is about it gives us kind of a showcase piece for how we're going to

[6:01] attract and retain talent in the area which is honestly uh next to you know

[6:05] just available sites that's really up there uh the ability to uh staff your

[6:10] your company is the greatest concern that companies have when they when they

[6:13] want to move into a community like huntington so

[6:16] this is a great showcase piece for us you know just very recently we've had

[6:21] great feedback from companies like marathon even that just uh actually used

[6:25] us they on board about a dozen employees several come out of the immediate area

[6:28] and this is something they were able to use the great effect and

[6:32] you get constantly good feedback from the hospitals from companies like alcon

[6:35] that actually advertises in here prime engineering is another company

[6:39] we've recently given a bunch of these to and they've been able to use that or if

[6:42] they're expanding their office truly than the sage they're actually uh

[6:47] we're in the process of they've hired about 30 individuals in the last six

[6:50] weeks and they're they're up to about 60 employees and they're going to be up to

[6:54] 150 uh within about a year so they have to bring in a lot from their

[7:00] other offices to their headquarters in florida for instance uh and so

[7:05] this is a great piece for them to be able to accomplish that as well i think

[7:08] this will be uh you know just kind of in the next 12 you know 18 24 months

[7:14] the scientist and trying to position itself as a great place to live

[7:18] especially when it concerns the new core project and our ability to attract and

[7:22] build off of that you know that's going to be a powerful

[7:25] uh you know a powerful they're going to be recruiting a lot of talent throughout

[7:28] the region and this is like mason county jobs that those individuals are probably

[7:32] going to live in huntington barbersville tays

[7:35] valley hurricanes so i think as we're trying to kind of put together a

[7:39] coordinated effort to attract talent to the region in support of that project

[7:43] this becomes a great tool as well in addition to that the online aspect

[7:48] livability.com we're a leader in the talent attraction media space so we're a

[7:54] national company we work with major chamber of commerce economic development

[7:59] state economic development organizations all across the united states

[8:04] so it's i personally worked on this project for the last three years very

[8:08] proud to do so i'm a grandson of marshall university my dad graduated

[8:13] from there and actually was one of the last group of players that played for

[8:17] the infamous cam henderson so i heard a lot of great stories my dad's even one

[8:22] of the books that have been written about cam so in his time he had at

[8:26] marshall so i'm very proud to work on this project and

[8:30] i livability will give huntington and the area a chance to really get out

[8:34] there and get exposure and get all that negative press

[8:39] it aside because of so much content that we're building out and we're not able to

[8:43] do that without great supporters like yourself

[8:47] you know support the initiative because you're the ones that truly fund the

[8:50] project and help us and this regional project

[8:54] is the best project we have nationwide as far as the stakeholder support

[9:00] nationwide in terms of bringing multiple

[9:04] communities together in terms of bringing stakeholder support

[9:07] people that either do a paid advertorial placement like marshall university on

[9:12] page one or you know many organizations so

[9:17] it gets widely supported and it's widely used and the exposure we get has been

[9:22] phenomenal within the package you'll have analytic information related to the

[9:26] online exposure of the program your personal

[9:29] online ad that comes with with your package has already had 10 000 plus

[9:34] impressions and views is because mainly the website itself

[9:38] livability huntington the liberal advantage valley we're up to almost a

[9:42] half million annual page views so this area is getting a lot of

[9:46] attention because of the affordability and then the big picture is

[9:52] we're helping this area grow and prosper and we're doing with the help of you all

[9:56] so we thank you so much for supporting this initiative how many

[10:00] of these are printed 15 000 copies sir

[10:04] and how many have been distributed in the past

[10:08] 15 000 copies and then there's online readership of that print publication

[10:13] of over 160 000 annual readers

[10:18] yeah i'm not sure how many magazines had could have all these advertisers get a

[10:23] certain amount of magazines exactly all the advertising sponsors like yourself

[10:27] they get copies for their own distribution

[10:30] so that's why the hospital get copies to provide their talent recruitment packets

[10:34] to physicians nurses yeah you know so it's we've handled these out uh probably

[10:39] a dozen or so businesses uh you know 20 at a time usually and

[10:44] places like special medical school west virginia

[10:47] places that would need to recruit the area

[10:51] and we're doing search engine optimization for huntington so if you

[10:55] type in google move or relocate to huntington

[10:59] it's going to position the livability hunting

[11:02] website with all this positive content ahead of all the other negative related

[11:07] content that you might find and that's true for any community and

[11:11] these two get shared by the cbps and things like this i know uh

[11:15] last year uh ashland floyd county became a became an advertiser i think the

[11:21] director over there i think came across one of these in the hotel over there and

[11:23] said we need to we need to be in there no actually his father is on the

[11:29] planning commission uh andrew steele father yeah

[11:33] i don't know if you owned mr steele so he did some work with marketing with

[11:37] the school system county schools so we we we have such great support of

[11:43] this project and we really appreciate your all's

[11:46] um you know investment support in this project too

[11:49] we appreciate you

[11:52] telling us of its it's a word valuability

[12:00] i just saw in the news today that there's a lot of states and

[12:04] and uh municipalities trying to get you on the musk to move to their community

[12:08] you know twitter with them so you know this is a

[12:12] great way to maybe we could use this to say come to west virginia and capitol

[12:16] county we have a lot to offer i personally work when we do our

[12:20] tennessee statewide project i've worked with amazon global economic development

[12:26] they're doing a huge project in downtown nashville for their hq's their second

[12:32] headquarters in the united states and they promote you know they use the the

[12:37] of the talent recruitment tool so there are huge corporations all the way down

[12:41] to small moment companies that need talent right now

[12:47] every community owner you hear from everybody if you're you have friends

[12:51] that own a company it's just it talent is the number one driving

[12:55] force in economic development right now gordon will get you some of these so you

[13:00] can find some drivers that would be very helpful
