[5:43] to Chelsea Middle School, and $34,250 to Chelsea High School. Again, our

[5:49] budget was $50,000, and that's what we're awarding. Very good.

[7:28] this? Yeah, in reviewing some of the active contracts we have with CD, it was

[7:32] determined that the current contract that we had for the fountain uh had some

[7:38] errors in it. So, we reached out to the company that we had the contract with,

[7:43] notified them that it wasn't a valid contract we were going to be cancelling

[7:46] and asked them to submit a new quote. And we received a new quote from them

[7:51] and two other companies. And the quote amounts were uh $350 a month from one,

[7:56] $299 from one, and then the one that we've got before you tonight was from

[8:00] Alabama Aquarium and Pond at $250 a month. So, not only were they the the

[8:07] boat bid, they also built the fountain and have been servicing it. So, their

[8:11] familiarity with the the fountain is why I recommend that recommend that we sign

[8:15] this contract. >> Very good. Um, all in favor say I.

[8:24] And this is a perfect example of your mayor going through, your new mayor

[8:28] going through and finding what I would consider waste and cutting

[9:27] Chevrolet Silverado 2500 four-wheel drive crew cab. And with the purchase

[9:33] price of the vehicle, and then light, siren, and equipment for the truck, the

[9:37] total comes out to $96,182.85.

[10:23] pre-consel, but we'll bring the citizens up to date. Station 32, our fire station

[10:27] down on 69, um, has been receiving some updates. And right now, the exterior of

[10:33] those updates has been erected, the sheeting installed, and this is going to

[10:37] be a new bay for a firet truck and additional living quarters to include

[10:42] four uh, bedrooms. So, they've got the exterior put together and now they're

[10:47] working on the inside including including the framing, the storm

[10:50] shelter, electrical, and all the finish work.

[10:54] Um, the tennis court project that was approved by the council. We met with the

[11:00] contractor last week and they're planning to break ground on the new

[11:03] tennis complex on December 1st and the estimated build time on that is 12 to 14

[11:08] months. Um the Simmons property that we have

[11:13] behind the community center in Melrose Park, um the contractor is going to

[11:20] start clearing that next week and we're going to go through and just get

[11:23] everything um cleaned up, get rid of all the old

[11:28] buildings back there. Um get rid of the underbrush and make it to where we can

[11:32] at least do maybe some city events there and, you know, get it ready for for

[11:36] future growth. Um I I think that uh one thing that we

[11:41] need to be excited about Valley Post will be opening. We've got uh Rodney

[11:46] Scots actually opens on the 25th of this month and other restaurants will be

[11:50] following the the next few weeks after that. So really excited about Valley

[11:54] Post and you know the what it's going to bring to the city, not only in revenue,

[11:58] but just the the atmosphere and being able to go there with your family and

[12:01] friends and everything they have to offer.

[12:05] And then last but not least, I'm going to let uh our city event plan and

[12:10] promoter tell you about or [clears throat] tell the citizens about

[12:13] the Christmas tree lighting that we're going to do on December 6th.

[12:21] know, we're very excited to have our tradition of the Christmas parade on the

[12:24] 20th and it will be the same as always been with a little jazz put in there.

[12:29] But we have decided working with the the mayor and some other citizens that

[12:33] suggested we do a tree lighting. We will have a actual live tree planted and a

[12:37] ceremony here on December 6, Saturday from 5:30 to 7:30. And we're inviting

[12:43] lots of community members to come out and they're it's a free event for

[12:47] everyone and there'll be lots of little treats and activities and hopefully

[12:50] we'll have some performances as well. So, we excited to introduce that new

[12:55] tradition to the city and I hope you guys can all come and the community can

[13:46] Roberts. And our second Thursday book club uh is having an end of the book

[13:50] party. So they've read all their books for the year. They're going to celebrate

[13:54] that and get ready to start over fresh in January. Um Steam Day, KZT Steam is

[14:00] on the 22nd of this month. We're going to cancel it for December because it

[14:04] falls on the same day as the parade and we're going to be closed on the 27th
