[2:09] Okay, seeing none, I will close the public forum, and we'll move along

[2:13] matters of the supervisor. Now, in our last meeting, if you recall, there was a

[2:18] a group and a couple of people that were put some emphasis on the bicycle and

[2:21] pedestrian study and wanted to know where we stood with that bicycle and

[2:25] pedestrian study. The There were two, and I'm going to apologize cuz I don't

[2:30] remember exactly the names, Dan and Dave. Um and they provided their uh

[2:36] email addresses uh for me to uh get back to them on that. I said I would uh I

[2:41] would uh put together a report um for uh where we stood with the the uh bicycle

[2:47] and pedestrian study. I did share this directly with those people that left an

[2:51] email address, and I also did share this with the town board. Um

[2:56] and I'm going to uh I'm actually going to have this posted on our website at

[3:00] the conclusion of the meeting um so that anybody that wants to see the what was

[3:05] put here. It's not not huge, but I'm I'm basically going to summarize uh a couple

[3:09] of different things from uh what I did uh put in this report. Um on the report

[3:15] um I did talk a little bit about our limited ability um especially as it

[3:20] relates to bicycles. Um more so because most of our roads and

[3:24] major roads are either owned by the county or the state, and unless we get

[3:28] cooperation from the the state or or and or county, um it's also very limited to

[3:35] what the town can do to provide anything more as far as bicycles. But my also my

[3:40] understanding that um most of a lot of our roads are not

[3:44] terribly bad, um but there are roads that there are definitely challenges

[3:48] that were identified in the bicycle and pedestrian study

[3:51] um um, that are areas that should be looked at. Um, the town, and I know Mr.

[3:55] Lindsey, uh, when he knows and we find out that

[3:58] there's roads that are being done, we do always always advocate, um, to try and

[4:02] get the state and or county to consider, um, wider lanes in in appropriate areas

[4:09] for, uh, safe bicycle travel. There were several, um, areas of the,

[4:14] uh, bicycle and pedestrian study that identified problem areas and problem

[4:18] areas. Um, I don't disagree with them, um,

[4:22] and most of those, quite frankly, have not been addressed. Again, it's not for

[4:27] our lack of advocating for them. It's just the lack we don't have control over

[4:32] those particular roads. Um, where we have done very very well, I

[4:36] think, um, over the since the plan was, uh, originated in 2015,

[4:40] um, in this report I've identified the areas

[4:43] where we have put in sidewalks, uh, for the pedestrian portion of this.

[4:47] Um, over since 2015, we've put in 25,080 linear feet of new sidewalks

[4:53] at a cost of about 2.06 million dollars. Um, some of that was done in in the

[4:58] areas, um, that were identified in the in the child

[5:02] life, uh, the bicycle and pedestrian master plan

[5:05] that, um, were problem areas, trying to get areas and places for,

[5:11] um, people to get back and forth from

[5:13] residential areas to shopping centers, uh, areas of, uh, interest. So, we've

[5:18] done a lot of that. Um, some of that actually was, uh, quite a bit of this

[5:22] was done, uh, most of this actually was done through

[5:25] grants, um, that were received, a partial grant

[5:28] from Monroe County, um, that allowed us to do the Paul Road sidewalk that still

[5:32] has some work to be done out there, but, um, that sidewalk, which went, uh, quite

[5:36] a quite a ways, um, that Paul Road sidewalk is 500 linear 580 linear feet.

[5:42] So, that's a that's a that's a pretty big sidewalk over there, right?

[5:46] » That's the shorter section. The longer one is like 5,000.

[5:48] » I'm sorry. I'm sorry, 6,000. 580 is the little one in front of M&T. Um

[5:53] 6,000 linear feet over there. Um it had a cost of 1.3 million dollars alone for

[5:58] that sidewalk. So Um with that again, this report will be there. I wanted to

[6:02] give a brief kind of summary of what what this says, but the report will be

[6:06] out on the website. Uh we'll get it on there tomorrow. Um I'll provide this to

[6:11] uh our staff to get this out on the town's website. It's a tidy It's not

[6:15] huge, but I think I've summarized pretty much what I've said in this. Um it might

[6:18] just say it a little bit different. It'll be a little bit more verbose. So

[6:22] um I'll leave it at that for now under um

[6:27] pending matters nothing matters the council.

[6:35] go to Mr. Lindsey. Any update on that double arch stone bridge uh that's over

[6:40] at the the Pringle property? Child at Scott's Hill Road at the road.

[6:44] Um I know there was talk about some There was a report that uh

[6:53] Wilson >> Oh, excuse me. Um I think shortly after

[6:56] that I made a site visit there and provided a kind of a summary back to the

[6:59] I maybe to you and the full board I think on on some of that. Um

[7:03] We've been a little busy with some of our road work, so Adam hasn't had a

[7:06] chance to get over there and kind of um review my findings, but we'll do that

[7:09] shortly and I'll provide that back to the board. So

[7:11] » Not a problem. Just wondered if there was any update on it.

[7:13] Um and then also we discussed in the past at Davis Park

[7:18] uh at the the south parking area down by the

[7:22] concession building um there's no ADA access going to the trail. Um we have a

[7:28] gate that's there, but the for somebody in a wheelchair or walker, they would

[7:31] have to try to maneuver through rock and dirt and and uh there's so there's

[7:35] nothing paved for somebody to to go from access from that parking lot out to the

[7:39] trail. >> Where was that again? I'm sorry.

[7:41] » Down at at Davis Park uh by the concession building.

[7:44] » Yep. Um there's a tr- there's a paved area that would lead them from the

[7:49] parking lot to the bathroom. >> Okay.

[7:51] » But getting to the parking lot to the paved trail, there is there is not

[7:55] anything any update any information on that.

[7:58] » Uh not at the moment, but I can provide something back to you when I talk to you

[8:01] uh parks foreman. We uh just recently finished doing some um roof work over

[8:05] there, redoing the roof at the uh the building there, and um so uh I'm

[8:09] managing that other projects on our list and then just I'll get an update for you

[8:12] on that and get back to you. >> Thank you. And that's one of the other

[8:14] things I was going to say ask any update on the structure

[8:18] uh improvements repairs for the open-air pavilions or the building.

[8:23] » Just the most recent re-roofing project that we did there, so.

[8:25] » On the concession building? >> Yeah.

[8:27] » And then also um Memorial Park.

[8:32] Uh so took a look at the scoreboards. Uh I know we did uh you know with the Keith

[8:36] Youngblood uh you know for the scoreboard, but some of the scoreboards

[8:40] are in a little rough shape. Uh if there's any We just we're going to be

[8:43] getting our budgets tonight, so I was going to look in there um and see if any

[8:48] money is being allocated for next year for any of these type of improvements.

[8:53] » For specific scoreboard improvement? >> Yeah.

[8:55] » Yeah, we have a parks maintenance uh line item in there a couple of those

[8:58] that we can utilize for some of those if um

[9:00] And I when you say they're need of

[9:03] improvement, are you worried about like um their functionality or their

[9:06] structural or structural >> Rotten wood.

[9:10] » So, okay. >> Yeah, cuz I know when the Councilman

[9:12] DeCory and I painted at uh Davis Park on the open one of the

[9:16] open-air pavilions that the actual the parks department guys came out they had

[9:20] to remove some of the rotted wood that was up there and so forth, and taking a

[9:24] look at some of the other structures uh they have some of the same needs.

[9:29] » We'll definitely take a look at those. Um I wasn't aware of anything pressing

[9:32] immediately, but yeah certainly if there's a concern there we'll take a

[9:35] closer look at that uh the wood structure there and see if

[9:38] something's got to be replaced, particularly members or whatnot. We were

[9:40] focused on improving couple of the dugouts there

[9:44] around the field that was dedicated. We did some concrete work there and we

[9:48] placed some cladding and stuff there, but certainly if there's a concern about

[9:51] any of the scoreboard structure, we'll take a look at those.

[9:53] » And are the dugouts and so I think now is the time since we're going to going

[9:58] talking about budgets and that's going to be coming up that there's money

[10:01] allocated cuz what I don't want to do is now come into the budget season and then

[10:05] you will bring up these issues and say, well, we didn't allocate any money.

[10:09] Well, if we're going to do it, now's the time to do it and I think as a board

[10:12] that's something that we should be looking

[10:13] » We'll make sure we take a look at those before our September meetings.

[10:15] » Oh, good. And then Maranti Field, I know it's been talked

[10:20] about for a few years now, the press box and the how uh

[10:25] I I'll say and maybe insecure, not structurally sound at the top. And we

[10:31] had talked about taking off the upper level. Any update on that?

[10:35] » Uh well, we haven't gotten into that part

[10:37] of the project. We have restricted access to it just because we do have

[10:39] some concerns about the structural adequacy of that area there. So, we can

[10:42] again take a look at that prior to our September meeting. I'll have some more

[10:45] information for you then, so. >> Okay. And then the parking area, I see

[10:48] that now that we've done some improvements. We

[10:52] brought in some stone for parking on the north side of the Memorial Drive access

[10:58] by the old dog kennel area. So, we've done some work there.

[11:03] » That was mainly centered around shifting working to shift that parking lot about

[11:07] 50 ft to the east so that it didn't conflict with any possible future

[11:12] roadway that might go through there should that property be developed in the

[11:20] stone, kind of let it sit for the winter, settle down and pave it next

[12:56] ability to just go ahead and do it. So, it will be done.

[12:59] It's still on the books, we just don't need to go through a formal process for

[13:03] it. >> Okay, cuz I know that you also did did

[13:06] you do diligence and you looked at possibly relocating the entrance to the

[13:11] north and south sides of the main entrance coming in the community center,

[13:14] but unfortunately, it's not wide enough and from a

[13:17] from opening standpoint. >> Correct. Yeah, the the uh

[13:22] the amount of revisions that are um the that

[13:25] would have to take place to incorporate uh a couple of air curtains there just

[13:29] seemed rather excessive for what we were trying to achieve. So,

[13:32] um we did just uh issue a purchase order

[13:34] for that air curtain. There's about a 3 to 4 week lag on delivery. And then once

[13:38] that's in, we'll have the contractor out there to put that in and have the

[13:51] this ADA access um something that hadn't been I don't

[13:57] thought about or uh included or discussed as part of the um initial
