[0:04]
Okay. Okay, so it is $702 to call this meeting for the order.
[0:15]
Let's start with our federal
[0:59]
Can we just do a roll call, I can do it if you'd like.
[1:05]
So Gina Frazier is not present at the moment.
[1:09]
Rosalina Meyer.
[1:10]
Mayor.
[1:11]
Mayor.
[1:12]
Thank you.
[1:15]
Allie Munegara.
[1:18]
It's not present.
[1:20]
Vice-Chirra Kido Cruz.
[1:22]
And Chair Ebeneisha Fisher.
[1:29]
It's Gina.
[1:30]
Yeah.
[1:31]
Yes.
[1:34]
Right.
[1:36]
Right.
[1:36]
Oh, right.
[1:37]
Yeah.
[1:40]
Yeah.
[1:41]
Yes.
[1:41]
Is that the key to the big greenie animals
[1:43]
and big.
[1:44]
The Department of.
[1:46]
Date for big green.
[1:48]
Everyone.
[1:49]
I hope that the months was that's for the last month.
[1:52]
It's actually pretty.
[1:54]
So, when looking at it.
[1:56]
Some things I noticed were probably in campus and police officers called out and they did come in the right.
[2:06]
There was three on one to put in, but also the cost of this batch.
[2:10]
There was also a couple calls because of the bathroom situation as far as someone wanting to stay in there, not wanting to come out of the bathroom.
[2:17]
What I did like was I noticed that the person I called was the surgeon.
[2:23]
So, one issue that we had amongst the city, and it's many different situations, I think
[2:29]
we talked about it last time, was the whole kind of tunnel phone game, right?
[2:33]
So, one person calls or they goes there to tell them that something is happening.
[2:37]
So, I did like that he actually called that in.
[2:41]
So, we can continue, pass that on if you're over here, you hear about it, make sure you tell me
[2:46]
go here.
[2:47]
You can give them a number of new calls.
[2:50]
The campments, the help team did come out, I talked to the sergeant about the campment
[2:54]
that was out here, and then I noticed that an officer came in with a 15 minutes, however,
[3:01]
the help team didn't get into the next day, right, so it's the same thing with the 3-1-1,
[3:06]
so he wanted to leave you a second thing, make sure you're all in the emergency line for
[3:10]
the second and you see it out there, because a lot of times they're not going to see it for
[3:13]
some time.
[3:15]
No, I don't want to do that. I can't do the 3-1s. If you guys need something right away, especially
[3:20]
when there's a camera right here, if you can run your class, you have to be also out there
[3:24]
right now. If you can't do the 3-1s stuff, you can go day-to-day to the time of fold, but they
[3:27]
don't see that 3-1 or the rest. So should you use 9-1 for that?
[3:32]
9-1, or the 9-1s you want? I would say the 9-1s tonight, so we'll be all
[3:36]
just up there now to address the situation. Yeah, and then we just sit and walk
[3:40]
around right now and Toggle actually reminded me because there's a part part of the park right
[3:46]
here but it's a museum splash run. It gets kind of dark because of the trees that are there.
[3:51]
They reminded me of an issue that we had a few months ago on the agenda of it being dark. So you guys
[3:58]
can bring up a P&A brought it up and I have reached out to the Department of Arborist for the city and
[4:05]
And they said, oh, you know, do you press?
[4:08]
It's not going to happen till fall.
[4:10]
So I was wondering from you guys, have you guys,
[4:12]
have anyone seen them out here?
[4:14]
It's not with her officially.
[4:15]
So if they haven't, I can reach out to them.
[4:17]
Do you know if the chemists have been trained
[4:19]
at all the lighting?
[4:22]
Last week, I can't remember what they last week.
[4:25]
They had Virginia clothes.
[4:27]
OK, so they were trimming it.
[4:29]
OK, good.
[4:29]
If you're a lot of concerns about you with health,
[4:37]
I mean, even with us, kind of pushing in my insolvent here, actually, at one of the events and all of those arts, it was one of the events that I saw when I ran to them be like, hey, it's actually really dark out here, even with them because of the cuts and the budget events that was happening, they were like, yeah, it's going to happen in the fall, so it'll be concerned about mine. But yeah, there are some other dark spots that are out here.
[4:59]
Yeah, I'll open up to the group because there are anything you guys would like to talk about this month or any questions you guys have.
[5:05]
It's something I like to build up in this map, that's specifically right here.
[5:09]
But every morning when I take my drive to school on Michigan, right here on Michigan,
[5:18]
right where you're supposed to go to Jocker-Kill, or Samurai, it's like gridlock central out there.
[5:25]
and there's no police officer inside,
[5:28]
and I'm like, why are they,
[5:30]
because it's most crazy, it's like this is Michigan,
[5:33]
like people are coming and cutting here.
[5:37]
And it's, then there are people are coming
[5:41]
and just going straight,
[5:42]
even though they see that the night's going to turn red,
[5:45]
so everybody's stuck in the middle of the street
[5:47]
or going towards the bridge, people will go,
[5:51]
even though they're, now they're blocking us
[5:53]
from the most straight cross-maskies we have to sit here and wait while they're in the middle
[5:58]
of the street during ARCA. So I would speak personally as far as like the school's thing
[6:03]
though, it's been a fitting issue actually. So there's something to tell me to think,
[6:07]
because I don't have ticket for that one time. I don't have, I don't have, but police took
[6:11]
a gave me a ticket for a great lack of one time. So I know that that's not, that's not,
[6:15]
it doesn't give a lot of money. Absolutely. I want to see if I can get ticket for it.
[6:20]
So what I was going to say is there's a lot of schools right now that have reached out to us because they're having a lot of issues to drop off and pick up time.
[6:31]
And the amount of schools that are out here in Santa Monica and all of them having the same issue.
[6:37]
right? When I tell them I was like it's an education thing at first so we can
[6:42]
so police can go out there one day, they can go out on another day and guess what?
[6:46]
The second people don't see police they go back to their own place, right? So
[6:49]
we've been times we've been working with the schools are doing it in phases and
[6:53]
the first phase is education. So it's coming from the school. We're even
[6:57]
gonna send out a letter to one of the schools putting them on glass like hey
[7:02]
Sam Monica can use a wearer. You guys have not been listening to the school we
[7:06]
is it's still been breaking the law, doing these euterns,
[7:09]
whatever you had to do, and then we went out there
[7:11]
and we did like warnings and make an education.
[7:15]
So we drove around and said, hey, you know,
[7:17]
things are coming up and then record that
[7:18]
the next step right now, and this, all right,
[7:21]
if you know this, now you're gonna get it taken, right?
[7:23]
And so the thing is what I'm trying to express to you
[7:26]
is that there's a multiple phase thing,
[7:27]
and it's so many different schools
[7:30]
that it just takes a lot of time.
[7:31]
So the sample one is the first time I've heard about it.
[7:34]
I know, I don't feel like nobody's ever said anything to me.
[7:38]
And my daughter's a senior now, and out of all of the four years it's always been that
[7:43]
way.
[7:43]
And I've seen the police out.
[7:46]
My daughter's been coming to school years since kindergarten.
[7:49]
So I do know during drop off time at a different school is crazy, but to me, this one is crazier
[7:56]
because it's in a major street where it's a blocking traffic versus a school in the community
[8:03]
area. And it's just there's not doing what they're supposed to do in the community area.
[8:07]
You know, this was dead in the middle of the major street where there's kids walk trying
[8:13]
to walk. I was just seeing a couple months ago, a kid got hit on a bike because another kid
[8:21]
was driving this, but coming from, coming down from Michigan, I was away from his school. And
[8:27]
And then the other kid, he was on his bike.
[8:31]
Crossed in front of me, because it was so much traffic,
[8:34]
I couldn't go anywhere.
[8:35]
He screamed across in front of me.
[8:37]
But he just said, it seems to suspect
[8:38]
that the car was coming right here.
[8:40]
So he, a little boy, he's now on his bike.
[8:44]
Bike was like completely total.
[8:46]
And he was able to get him to walk off, huh?
[8:49]
This crazy, it was just crazy right there.
[8:51]
Yeah, that, I didn't mean to be looked at.
[8:54]
At least even if a police officer was posted
[8:56]
like the mark from here whenever a cold time comes.
[9:01]
In the conference.
[9:02]
I will have a full time.
[9:03]
There's no time for this.
[9:06]
I will say, yeah, Oscar Angel and Oscar Tola,
[9:10]
who are our dues, schools and rosters,
[9:12]
they are there during our class.
[9:14]
They may not be dual in the flow of traffic,
[9:16]
which I can go and guarantee them,
[9:17]
but they're wrong.
[9:18]
They have to stay in our class during the morning draw-off.
[9:20]
Yeah, they're not.
[9:21]
That would be interesting, obviously.
[9:23]
But we can talk to our traffic unit who's in the process of
[9:26]
walking up that unit, which is an interesting thing.
[9:29]
We just drive by a little time, you know,
[9:31]
where the school starts at 8.30.
[9:33]
So 8.30 is pretty, pretty much between 8.20 and 8.30.
[9:38]
If they just, there's a lot of this,
[9:39]
so police officers just drove by at that time.
[9:41]
It was, you know, crazy.
[9:42]
And our traffic sergeants are very corrupt,
[9:44]
they're starting to all, so he started at unit.
[9:46]
In the last year, he's very corrupt, and what he does.
[9:48]
So he wants to hear those concerns from the community,
[9:50]
so they don't wear a personal resource.
[9:52]
It's definitely quite scary, because, like I said,
[9:55]
it's the, the San Juan has 2,000 of some students
[10:00]
and half of them are getting dropped off,
[10:02]
so there's like hundreds of students across the street,
[10:05]
cars blocking which is, it's blue is completely chaotic.
[10:09]
Yeah, and that's the only drop off area, right?
[10:12]
Yes, that's it.
[10:14]
I mean, back in the day, the front of San Juan was,
[10:17]
the front of San Juan now, the transmission gate.
[10:19]
I mean, they have the back gate too on fourth that kids can come in through, but mostly the
[10:25]
main is right here at that Michigan gate where kids can go in.
[10:29]
I mean, we can definitely bring it up and mention it to them.
[10:32]
I'm sure they're aware of it, but I'll bring it up to them and, you know, just so you get
[10:37]
access to where you might.
[10:38]
Yeah.
[10:39]
And I'm sure they do.
[10:41]
It's like I said, there's just, there's so many, I can tell you how many emails I get from
[10:45]
on this street at this time, there's so many different streets out there so they're trying to be everywhere in the city.
[10:51]
The school thing in particular has been a big thing recently.
[10:57]
I know there's an Edison, Edison now has reached out.
[11:00]
I have a question for Edison's mind.
[11:02]
Well, I live literally, right?
[11:04]
Cross-medicine.
[11:05]
And it was just mentioning the answer.
[11:07]
I have to get out to take my guard to school somewhere else.
[11:10]
So I know how it looks, it's safe, it's livable.
[11:14]
However, it does get crazy because parents are taking too long to let their kids out to car.
[11:21]
But having to already live in this district, going through some of the eruders, it has been a bit of a school experience.
[11:29]
Yeah, they were in the group in the last five years.
[11:38]
I don't think that meant that, I'll make it up a little bit, I'll bring it up a little bit.
[11:44]
The only thing is that I wanted to bring up is I'm not sure in the early, early, early hours of Friday.
[11:49]
That's Friday.
[11:50]
If you guys heard about it, I'll talk to you about my announcements.
[11:52]
We actually got a student that I've heard had a steward and a limited, which is the most clear.
[12:00]
Transe was trespassing on a property security close up and security stay
[12:04]
They saw that with what he had heard about the firearm. It was manipulating it. Our all-trips about seed is they put out a drone up
[12:10]
And as the drones of the air they saw fire a couple rounds into the air
[12:15]
Not the drones just use on drugs and you're fooling me
[12:20]
So you shut a couple rounds and luckily they've done jammed LAP's airship came to support us
[12:25]
and we were likely taken to custody without an incident any further incident.
[12:30]
So he was arrested for a film in possession of the bar owners of the film,
[12:35]
and a mall with the story of the bar owners.
[12:38]
That was actually at your school.
[12:40]
Yeah, that was like what?
[12:41]
Yeah, actually.
[12:44]
That was this pathspread?
[12:46]
This pathspread.
[12:46]
Thank you.
[12:47]
Friday morning.
[12:50]
No, why do you have 90?
[12:52]
But I heard the radio.
[12:54]
But I ran out of the state that it was isolated to stay. It's not like some of us
[12:57]
screaming right now. It's not, it hasn't been halved and hasn't been anything far off
[13:02]
earlier up here.
[13:04]
In regards to gang members, you know, community, what do you guys have to bring, we have any
[13:11]
information?
[13:13]
Do you guys control those activities?
[13:15]
Well, it's, uh, to see a, to see a different, where a team who came by, there are the ones
[13:20]
that are in charge of that, so I know from them
[13:23]
they come here, they come to Virginia Park often,
[13:26]
especially during the day and during the after-school hours.
[13:30]
You may not see them, but they're always out here
[13:32]
in the journal because they're like,
[13:33]
oh, tell them about some of them.
[13:34]
I can't, I was very yesterday at this time,
[13:35]
so we don't even know as far as the updates
[13:39]
from them, I haven't heard any updates from them.
[13:41]
They're really the only thing they do,
[13:42]
the private vaccine.
[13:43]
They're experts with the refugee,
[13:45]
they're experts who they gain.
[13:46]
I need to stress them, and I'll say,
[13:48]
Well, that's Joe Gilchimo, that's what a lot he lives here.
[13:52]
He can kill it as a person.
[13:53]
I think they're really good at what they do.
[13:55]
And I will say that even if we're working with Liz,
[14:00]
that the graffiti intake that we're taking,
[14:02]
that's in, kind of, luckily, I'll blow it right now.
[14:06]
They're out there in the pool for our crime and crime activities.
[14:08]
Because again, when you send that information to us,
[14:10]
there's graffiti over here, there's graffiti over there.
[14:13]
Everyone out there in the building, they're going to fall up
[14:15]
and they're staying out there, they're going to cover cars
[14:17]
I'm trying to figure out what to do with this.
[14:19]
For the most part, I can do some type of graffiti,
[14:24]
and they're like, that's so-so.
[14:25]
He lives on 14th Street at La La La.
[14:27]
But they know exactly what to do on every day.
[14:29]
So they're talking about all of that stuff.
[14:31]
Yeah, I've noticed it's been less and less
[14:34]
because usually even when I see it taken down,
[14:37]
I'll see it put back there.
[14:39]
And I haven't noticed.
[14:40]
Well, too little.
[14:41]
So the Crying Bad Team is comprised of four officers
[14:43]
in a sergeant.
[14:44]
And from the Liar Corps, most of us here, they're working on just two officers, because two of
[14:50]
the officers had pregnant babies, so they're out all over for a couple months.
[14:53]
So now they're back to full force, so they're out there every day, having to do this.
[15:00]
So he was arrested for a bill in the possession of the fire armors of the bill and a law of the destroyed the fire arm. That was actually at your school? Yeah, that was this pass-pride?
[15:16]
This pass-pride? Thank you, and a Friday morning.
[15:22]
But I ran out of the state that I was isolated to stay, it's not like some of us
[15:27]
is shooting right now, it's not, it hasn't been often hasn't done anything far out there.
[15:34]
In regards to gang members in our community, what do you guys have to bring,
[15:40]
do you have any information, do you guys have control of those activities?
[15:45]
Well, it's the CIT, the primary work team who came by,
[15:49]
they're the ones that are in charge of that.
[15:52]
So I know from them they come here,
[15:55]
like from Virginia Park, often, especially during the day
[15:58]
and during the after-school hours.
[16:00]
You may not see them, but they're always out here in the journal
[16:02]
because they're like, oh, tell them about some of them.
[16:04]
I can't, I was very yesterday at this time,
[16:05]
so we don't even know.
[16:07]
as far as the updates from them, I haven't heard any updates from them.
[16:11]
They're really able to do the kind of 19th.
[16:13]
They're experts with their feed and experts who they gain.
[16:16]
I need to stress them to them.
[16:18]
And I'll say, oh, that's Joe Chino, that low blood, he lives here.
[16:22]
He can fill it into this person.
[16:23]
I think they're really able to do that.
[16:25]
And I will say that even what's working with Liz,
[16:30]
that the graffiti intake that we're taking, that's it.
[16:33]
and kind of, luckily, I don't blow it right now.
[16:36]
They're out there before our private vaccine.
[16:38]
Because, again, when you send an information to us
[16:40]
or we're like, there's graffiti over here,
[16:42]
there's graffiti over there.
[16:43]
They're going out there in the field
[16:44]
and they're conducting follow-up
[16:45]
and they're staying out there and they're covering cars
[16:47]
and trying to figure out what to do in this.
[16:49]
And for the most part, until they're good,
[16:51]
I can do some time graffiti.
[16:54]
And they're like, that's so, so he lives on 14th Street
[16:56]
and blow them off.
[16:57]
But they know exactly what to do in everything.
[16:59]
So they're documenting all of that stuff.
[17:00]
Yeah, I've noticed it's been less and less because usually even when I see it taken down
[17:07]
and I'll see it put back there.
[17:09]
And I haven't noticed.
[17:10]
Well, two of them.
[17:11]
So the primary factor team is comprised of four officers in the sergeant.
[17:14]
And from the Liar Corps in most of the last year, they were working on just two officers.
[17:19]
Because two of the officers had pregnant babies, so they're at all for a couple of months.
[17:23]
So now they're back to full force, but they're out there every day.
[17:26]
How did that happen?
[17:31]
Thank you for that information.
[17:32]
The other thing I was adviceing, as I've said, some of the policy department website
[17:39]
regarding that all prime activity and different locations is that amount of stuff.
[17:45]
One thing that was monitoring, I think I already brought that up to start last time.
[17:49]
Is it in a way the policy department will track, or their way they can track activities,
[17:54]
these eye activities in Santa Monica, if any chance that you can edit from that place,
[18:00]
I know that you don't have to talk about it, but it will be nice to see when part of
[18:06]
those activities happen, just like regular crime, like you mentioned, you get report from
[18:12]
there, just something that we can see as a community and be aware of how close information
[18:18]
to a more reliable source.
[18:21]
So I know the way that it's inputted there,
[18:23]
comes from the system and then I do this to do something.
[18:27]
So I know it's like a multi-setting.
[18:28]
I don't know if it would be possible.
[18:30]
I can ask how exactly, but it could be,
[18:33]
how it's processed, how they input it
[18:35]
when they just do a call.
[18:38]
So I'll look into it to see what information I have now.
[18:42]
Because I'm very self explanatory.
[18:45]
Yeah, then that would be detailed.
[18:47]
Well, not detailed, but.
[18:48]
Yes, that's where I'm at the time and location.
[18:52]
I love that you're looking at that though.
[18:54]
I know I'm really, really, too.
[18:55]
Like, we want more people to talk about that.
[18:57]
One of the hardest things I can see with that is
[18:59]
with the Christads, we're able to track that
[19:02]
through our calls for service.
[19:05]
The danger of having an ice agent.
[19:07]
I don't know those are our calls for service for us,
[19:09]
so I don't know if that's the end of the track
[19:11]
that makes sense, because it's kind of like what
[19:12]
you're saying, where, oh, I should see in this area.
[19:16]
They may have been seen that area, there's no way they as a corporate service are tractable.
[19:20]
It's where it's like, if there's a robbery there or a robbery there or a robbery there,
[19:24]
where's the one out there, it's trash as a crime course.
[19:27]
There's no crime course for when they've been there.
[19:29]
And I can say, cysts and all started, they've been here less than five times,
[19:35]
or time that at least weasen products.
[19:36]
Again, they'll go, hey, cheap, dead, good, we're going to the city on Thursday at 8 in the morning.
[19:42]
They should look and that's really going to fight with the citizens.
[19:45]
Hey, this is what's going on.
[19:46]
And we're trying to push resources out there to make sure we're being safe, and that our
[19:49]
community safe.
[19:50]
I've actually not got calls, like, hey, is this true that they're out there, and then we look
[19:55]
into it and we're like, oh, people will know before us, because there's someone there,
[19:59]
and we can have them.
[19:59]
Hey, it is not otherwise whatsoever.
[20:01]
So, we can ask you to see, just a little ask to see what, you know, how it's done, but
[20:07]
that's not behind the scene, except for things like that.
[20:09]
If you would have been recognized as a city group that's pushing out resources around the city if you have a site, that's a good point.
[20:19]
The reason I'm praying is because this week's fierce all these activities with this kind of balance.
[20:27]
It's really important for us as a committee.
[20:29]
I know the Santa Monica support every community in the talent and social.
[20:36]
I'd just like to know more about that.
[20:38]
Absolutely. No, I heard some of that.
[20:39]
Yeah, so yeah, we give over each other city partners if we can't do it, maybe they can do it because they keep track of that's their whole purpose of that group.
[20:48]
So, do you have a city in power?
[20:50]
Yes, I have a city.
[20:52]
Yeah, but where do you want to go?
[20:54]
Oh, is there...
[20:57]
It sounds like I'd say that's probably the best way it was usually.
[21:01]
Every time there's anything on the city, it's on the city's an app for sure.
[21:10]
We get to all things. Hey, did you see that? I'm ready. We're like, what?
[21:14]
So there's a lot of time for getting permission secondhand. Does anyone else have any questions?
[21:20]
Thank you guys for coming down and keeping us in place.
[21:25]
Maybe in the future, we can try to figure out what we do with this online and in person.
[21:29]
I think that tenants would be a little better.
[21:31]
It's hard to go out here at 118.19.
[21:34]
I mean, any other way it's hard.
[21:35]
But I think it would open it up to potentially creating
[21:38]
some type of zoom in person, some higher meaning.
[21:41]
Maybe the numbers in the video will go up a lot
[21:42]
of the greater audience for people coming in the studio.
[21:45]
It was so many of the solutions to that at some point.
[21:48]
Even for you who have a choice,
[21:49]
you guys would be nice for you to be home
[21:51]
and just blogging for home and not to come here
[21:53]
or a little marketing for you guys.
[21:56]
Sure.
[22:03]
That's what we're here for, we're looking to have a good, so that's what I'm saying to you guys, we're here to talk to you guys and do the liaison of this department.
[22:09]
So before that, I'd like to bring you over to you guys.
[22:11]
Thank you.
[22:12]
You guys have us in a couple of minutes.
[22:15]
Great.
[22:17]
Great special.
[22:17]
Great, great special.
[22:18]
So these are mountain units that are already confirmed.
[22:21]
Yeah, they're as well.
[22:22]
They're the exact time they'll be there,
[22:23]
but they'll be there for a couple of some of you.
[22:26]
Okay, make sure you try them.
[22:28]
I mean, you guys can count on you.
[22:32]
I'll be right into doing some of my dancing.
[22:35]
A loving kiss, okay?
[22:37]
I dance.
[22:39]
You guys can follow the dance.
[22:40]
That's a follow-up.
[22:42]
Yeah, I need you guys to do that.
[22:43]
I love you.
[22:44]
Thank you guys.
[22:46]
Thank you.
[22:52]
Thank you for the microphone.
[22:54]
Thank you.
[22:54]
That's what I want to start for you.
[22:57]
Oh, sorry.
[22:57]
Oh, sorry.
[22:58]
Do you have a
[23:03]
mic?
[23:03]
Mark and me?
[23:04]
Where?
[23:05]
He's got six.
[23:06]
Oh, OK, so yes.
[23:08]
We're going to have a dog.
[23:09]
The enforcement protocol for review was that.
[23:16]
This is a rock.
[23:17]
This is what it looks like?
[23:19]
This is what it looks like.
[23:19]
Silverstein?
[23:19]
And cross-silver team, we leave at an all-pensual RCSE here for all-pensual teams, come in there and demonstrate your thank you so much.
[23:30]
Thank you for inviting me to review.
[23:35]
I'm here to answer questions.
[23:37]
I was asked to come because I guess the morning had questions about what my unit does.
[23:42]
Thanks, so I'm here to answer any questions.
[23:47]
So Rob is here at the request of Gina, I remember we talked about it last time, so we were
[23:52]
talking about dog enforcement protocols around the park, around the neighborhood, you've
[23:57]
noticed some patterns, and I guess if you had any questions for Rob.
[24:01]
Okay, so I'm just going to start off by saying exactly like kind of where we live and some
[24:06]
issues on the element. So we live like in 904 or one area. That's the living
[24:16]
front of the top out.
[24:20]
So the three buildings, we can say the fourth building you
[24:25]
want to include building next to us. I mean, first of all, there's hundreds of
[24:32]
dogs, but then there's nowhere for us to throw our foods. So I wanted to know, is there
[24:43]
a law that you have to have somewhere for us to throw the food?
[24:48]
There's a city ordinance that requires you to have pickup materials to pick up after your path.
[24:54]
I mean, like for instance, if I pick up after my pet, then I have those continue to walk
[25:00]
him and we're given to my house.
[25:02]
Or why the city receptacle?
[25:05]
But in that area, there's not hundreds of dogs.
[25:11]
And because of that, I think people...
[25:14]
Yeah, they just don't pick it up.
[25:16]
There's nowhere to put it instead of picking it up and taking it to their house.
[25:20]
I just leave it.
[25:21]
So that means something that we want to have discussion with the city
[25:33]
So
[25:36]
my question is, what is the law say in Santa Monica in regards to having a dog?
[25:49]
Can I have a dog?
[25:51]
I mean, I mean, I know I get my dog license every year.
[25:58]
Okay, I know I get the dog shot it up and everything like that.
[26:02]
I know that I walk the dog and I know that I pick up after the dog.
[26:07]
But what does the law say about housing a pet on your premises like in your house?
[26:14]
Does it say that the dog has to be registered with the city of Santa Monica?
[26:22]
So if you have a dog that's over 4 months of age, it has to be vaccinated for babies,
[26:31]
and it is supposed to be licensed in the jurisdiction that human.
[26:36]
But who knows that?
[26:41]
Are you asking if we have a baby?
[26:43]
Yeah, we do not.
[26:45]
So you don't enforce that?
[26:47]
No, we do enforce it.
[26:48]
We don't go door-to-door checking people's homes when we contact people on calls or
[26:54]
Doing the course of our work. We absolutely check for licenses
[27:01]
So what if I say I got a hundred dogs right here that aren't license in my building so their ordinances on quantity as well
[27:10]
So we have for the floor you're gonna be in violation
[27:13]
No, you're talking about foreign somebody's house, but I'm saying in the apartment buildings
[27:19]
all together, there's more than a hundred dollars living on it per...
[27:25]
No, that's not my question.
[27:28]
I mean, that's not my question, because I can't do that.
[27:30]
There is no.
[27:31]
It's not my question.
[27:32]
It's per residence.
[27:33]
Per residence.
[27:34]
So you yourself could have four house.
[27:36]
Okay.
[27:37]
And your neighbor could have four house.
[27:39]
Okay.
[27:40]
Okay.
[27:40]
I don't understand your question.
[27:42]
Yeah, I want to know, like, I know that many of the dogs in our building, they are not registered
[27:48]
and people don't even know they have to be registered at all.
[27:51]
How do you know?
[27:53]
Because you don't see the tag on their...
[27:55]
I don't see the tag and I know because I have them.
[28:01]
They move into our building, they move into the complex.
[28:05]
What do you think?
[28:06]
Do you think the first thing they're going to say is,
[28:08]
I don't know, do I have my dog license to register to them?
[28:12]
So if we can ask that we can work in.
[28:16]
The requirement is, like I said, the dog in my form
[28:20]
needs to be actually in the license and the dog is
[28:24]
required to wear the tag on her collar.
[28:26]
That is your true, that is how it is written.
[28:29]
So one that I won't be honest with you,
[28:33]
my officer is facing a lot of pushback
[28:36]
from buildings like yours when they try to go in because as you know there's
[28:42]
security, you can't just knock on doors and when they have tried to do as you
[28:49]
said the license enforcement and you can follow up on barking dog complaints
[28:54]
and nuisance complaints that there's a lot of pushback from the on-site
[29:00]
management, not wanting to let them in to disturb their
[29:05]
time. So it makes it difficult. I'm sure there's a lot of
[29:10]
dogs in your building that we would love to talk to.
[29:14]
It's
[29:15]
maybe, and perhaps if you're a relationship with your
[29:17]
really management, because we did speak to everybody, all
[29:20]
the management when those buildings were built free, but
[29:23]
four or five years ago, none of our walk it was. They
[29:26]
We've been, they have so much management, it's something that we want to do and access
[29:34]
from those people on the troll those buildings is wrong.
[29:40]
So the, you have to have a right, simply at least, you come in and you check them.
[29:45]
Well they want to get wider there, they want to know what is, what are you doing here, why
[29:51]
are you here, give a warrant to be here, give a warrant to be here, give a call about a new
[29:56]
business, complainer, adopt abuse case or, you know,
[30:00]
All over the place. And I remember one of the residents, one of the owners of a building next to us running after him and saying, excuse me, excuse me, you dog just wrapped in my, you know, and he's like, oh, I didn't know, I didn't know they did that. I'll come right back and get it. And you know he never came back. You know, but I'm like, yeah, but all these dogs sort of want up there and you just crap everywhere. And, you know, I can't even walk my dog.
[30:30]
up that way because there's just so much crap. You know, and I want her tracking it in,
[30:37]
you know, that kind of thing. You know, and if you've bothered some of that, you know,
[30:44]
that we have, you know, like if my dog was to get bitter, something like some of these aggressive
[30:50]
dogs, I mean,
[30:53]
I wouldn't have any recourse. You would have, you would have a civil recourse.
[31:01]
You would have a civil action potentially if someone's dog entered yours or you wouldn't
[31:10]
be necessarily criminal case, but it would be a civil case.
[31:14]
Right.
[31:15]
And we've been through that before with a dog bite of my dog, where he really didn't have
[31:19]
a leg to stand on, so in that case.
[31:23]
No, we have proof because the dog was all bit up.
[31:25]
Our dog was all bit up, but then the people were saying,
[31:32]
baby, sit in the dog and all this, and there's always a,
[31:36]
it was just ridiculous, you know,
[31:40]
it was on the Christmas day the dog was all bit up,
[31:43]
believed it, everywhere I teed Mark's all in the dog.
[31:47]
Would it be helpful for us to talk to your management,
[31:51]
again, about the pickup materials,
[31:53]
and having something out to the table?
[31:56]
So what they did was they removed all the like the trash cans and they put a receptacle the whole way up by
[32:05]
The buildings next to us
[32:07]
Now how does that help us?
[32:10]
You think I'm gonna go and then walk up here like a half a block to get rid of it
[32:20]
I don't think that there would be so much crap
[32:26]
if we had some receptacles to put like the dog.
[32:29]
And why would you put it up there?
[32:31]
I mean, we can talk to your management as you can.
[32:34]
Obviously we can make them do it.
[32:36]
But we can talk to them and let them know
[32:38]
that there's concerns coming to us from residents
[32:41]
and that they really should put up
[32:45]
some education material.
[32:47]
Yeah, that's what I wanted to know.
[32:49]
So we can ask us, we can't make them put receptacles
[32:52]
And we can't make them educate the tenants or the residents, but we can ask that they do it.
[33:00]
And the other thing is if we see somebody doing that, we will listen to the citations.
[33:05]
Well, if no, if we see the guy who just walks away at least every day,
[33:13]
for us to write the citations the ticket, we have to see it.
[33:19]
So it's all like you can call us and say, oh this guy, you know, we have to see it, which is hard because we have to be there at the time that he's walking the door and you know.
[33:28]
But we really, it sounds like real trivial like that.
[33:33]
No, it's a good thing.
[33:34]
It's a good thing.
[33:38]
And like all of a sudden like next door, you know what I'm talking about when I say next door, you hear people talking about it all the time.
[33:44]
I'm like, these people that just won't pick up their dog meds and you got their kids trying to walk in the grass and stuff like that and this just cuts.
[33:53]
It's a growing issue because there are so many developments that's been built in the area and there's lots and lots of units heard.
[34:11]
So we can definitely do that, talk to the management of the buildings, and ask them
[34:16]
encourage them to enforce themselves.
[34:20]
They say we're putting out the stock tools for people to use.
[34:23]
And then the reminders to their residents, hey, if your animal does, you know, go to the bathroom
[34:30]
like walking in, you are required, and we'll give them the, you know, the law, the
[34:34]
code sections. I like to say, we can ask them to do that, they don't have to. But, you
[34:40]
know, if we catch some people and take some action against it, that may, that may open
[34:46]
some people's eyes sometimes, but they know I didn't know I could get a ticket for that.
[34:49]
Right, right.
[34:50]
But like I said, it just makes it a little difficult because we, we can't write it after the
[34:54]
fact. We have to see them, you know, literally set the dog goes to the bathroom and then
[34:59]
walk away. Hey, the first question we would ask is do you have, do you have your pick up materials
[35:05]
to clean up after your dog and say, well, you have to return my pocket, well, then use it
[35:09]
and then say, well, no, I don't have everything. I'll pay for it. So we'll issue the citation
[35:13]
and we'll make a pick it up. So it's just hard because you have to catch up doing it.
[35:18]
Yeah, but also what they're doing is they put out that little green thing where you've got
[35:23]
We have to bump in, we have to face, and I've never seen a field up except for the first day.
[35:30]
The city has a lot of fun around and they don't like it.
[35:35]
We can't even afford to even fill it.
[35:39]
So thank you for coming out.
[35:41]
Absolutely.
[35:41]
It's obviously a service.
[35:43]
Of course.
[35:43]
Of course.
[35:44]
Yes sir.
[35:45]
Next week.
[35:46]
Thanks for coming.
[35:47]
First of all, appreciate your time that you were here.
[35:50]
besides dog and cat and all that's got a wild animal,
[35:53]
how do you guys handle this situation?
[35:56]
We're saying like, I might be like,
[36:00]
or could stay there all the time.
[36:04]
And we call you department to actually come up
[36:08]
and take care of those wild animals.
[36:12]
So good question.
[36:12]
So we do respond to all animal calls in the city.
[36:16]
Anything that's animal related to wildlife,
[36:19]
or domestic animal, it runs through by unit, we will cover it if, so if it's a healthy animal,
[36:28]
I mean it's not sick, it's not injured, it's not active aggressively or you know,
[36:32]
it's, you know, problem that it's just all the property, I know it's,
[36:40]
it depends on what they're doing because in our city, people don't realize Santa Monica
[36:44]
has a great amount of wildlife, a lot of you wouldn't expect it in the city but we really
[36:52]
do from reptiles, snakes, hawks, owls, I know, they say possums, raccoons, all but you
[37:02]
name it, I mean skulls make my question is how is, right, how are you? Right, so,
[37:08]
do you see a problem is that like a danger? Not necessarily. So, to your question, so if there's
[37:15]
a rectal on the property, it depends, for us, if we won't remove it, if we remove it, we have to
[37:22]
utilize it. So, we're not allowed to relocate, wow, that's the problem. So, if it's just like,
[37:30]
And people will call us, I hear you example, people will call us and say, there's a record in my backyard in the tree.
[37:36]
And what is the problem? Well, it's in the tree in my backyard.
[37:39]
But again, does it look sick? Does it look injured? Is it acting aggressively? No, but I don't want it in my backyard.
[37:47]
It's wildlife. We exist with animals, with wildlife. So we wouldn't come out and just remove it from the backyard.
[37:56]
We got a call today that a resident on the north end called because she saw three
[38:03]
possums in her backyard, and she did one of them there, which is one of my possums.
[38:08]
But, and we get those kind of calls.
[38:11]
So I guess it depends on what is the animal doing and what's the, you know, the reason that
[38:17]
you would call us.
[38:18]
We can evaluate it.
[38:19]
We may just say it's a healthy animal that's, you know, just living in your property.
[38:24]
If it's inside the cross space, or if we had to go in the cross spaces of houses and things,
[38:32]
that would call a pest control company.
[38:34]
We wouldn't go into the cross space.
[38:37]
So it just depends on what is wrong.
[38:38]
Usually when we could call that, they're either sick or injured.
[38:43]
Is there something wrong with it?
[38:44]
What we know is, or what I know is, this specific animal was leading up to me all the time.
[38:52]
and it obviously has to do all of the necessity of the task.
[38:57]
My neighbor, you know, will leave what basically
[38:59]
for behaviors like feet prosa, and it creates an issue
[39:06]
I told her that we have to have them to be
[39:10]
well, being able to support themselves,
[39:13]
and not lie in you to constantly keep them right.
[39:18]
So it actually gets to a lot of feet, why not?
[39:20]
So that's why you were supposed to do that.
[39:24]
You were correct.
[39:25]
And telling her not to do that.
[39:27]
Because then it conditions them to come to her for food.
[39:34]
Because they know if they come to that place,
[39:37]
they're going to get fed.
[39:38]
They're not the other smart.
[39:40]
So you don't want to feed them.
[39:42]
It changes their natural behaviors.
[39:45]
And it causes where you're correct.
[39:46]
It causes other problems.
[39:49]
And oftentimes that leads to those other behaviors and then we do have to come out and get them.
[39:54]
And like I said, unfortunately we have to utilize them because we can't relocate them.
[39:58]
And we don't want to do that.
[40:00]
To answer your question about the cow, what do you know?
[40:02]
I wanted to get to his first, so there are a lot of casualties in the city.
[40:09]
Again, that's just nature, I guess.
[40:11]
I mean it's like with all the other animals that we have here.
[40:17]
with those, again, if you see one, it's not something we don't come on just again,
[40:23]
trap them and utilize them. If they're, again, appearing healthy, not injured,
[40:29]
non-aggressive, a healthy normal coyote does not want to have interaction with
[40:35]
people. So if they, they're afraid of people. So when we get calls and we, we're
[40:41]
getting into the spring, which is their, you know, the season, again, for their, having
[40:46]
their pubs and things.
[40:49]
When that happens, I'll give you a example, we had a lady that was up on San Vicente that
[40:56]
was feeding them on the median, you know, the median in the street.
[41:02]
There were, you know, big, beautiful trees that run along San Vicente.
[41:07]
And she was living in one of the apartments that was on the north side of San Vicente.
[41:11]
And the school was on the south side, and
[41:19]
the south side was saying, so there's a
[41:22]
big beautiful tree right across on the entrance of the school, on the median, and we're getting
[41:28]
complaints about coyotes chasing people on their bikes, chasing people with their dogs,
[41:34]
so we went out there to try to do some investigation, and Officer Hernandez, who's not here because
[41:39]
he's out in sick and apologized, we went out early morning before 5 a.m. and actually
[41:46]
saw her come out and put food down. And so we had to correct her being. And once she
[41:55]
stopped putting the food out, they were not interested in coming back to that tree. Right?
[42:01]
And so it just depends on what they're doing. If they're aggressive or do a thing like that
[42:06]
that we will try to trap them, and then I said,
[42:08]
we will have to, you know, utilize them for that.
[42:10]
Otherwise, the best thing to do is just,
[42:13]
like I said, they're afraid of people.
[42:15]
Loud noises scare them away,
[42:17]
though they will run away.
[42:20]
You had another follow-up, right?
[42:22]
Oh, I was gonna say, like, domestic animals,
[42:27]
like cats and dogs, and they're out of laundry and the sheets.
[42:31]
They, you guys will think they're like,
[42:40]
So I was saying if we have to pick up wildlife because they're sick or injured or there's
[42:46]
a problem.
[42:47]
We do have relationships with California Wildlife Center and other rescue organizations,
[42:55]
but oftentimes they do get euthanized because they can't get re-located.
[43:00]
people say, well, I don't want my backyard come pick it up from my backyard and go put it down
[43:05]
the street. We can't do that. So I say if they're very sick or very injured, they're going to be
[43:10]
humanly utilized. If they can be helped, like the raccoons and the possums and the other wildlife,
[43:18]
we will talk to our rescue partners to try to help them and sometimes they're able to be helped
[43:24]
sometimes they aren't. Dogs and cats that we picked up, they go back to the shelter, if they are
[43:31]
again healthy adoptable animals. That's where my full shelter of animals comes from.
[43:38]
It's typically strange from the street or people surrendering. And if they're not, then we'll have our vet evaluate them
[43:46]
and we make a decision on what needs to happen. Is there a protective animal that you can,
[43:52]
that you have to take back to, like, the woods or something, is there any animal that's
[43:58]
a protected animal?
[44:00]
Yes.
[44:02]
Yes.
[44:02]
I definitely would see, like, in the city of Santa Monica.
[44:06]
So the owls, for example, owls are...
[44:11]
But, so, like, I just took an owl on Christmas Eve, you know, it was Christmas Eve, it's
[44:18]
24th.
[44:19]
There was, remember we had the heavy rain?
[44:22]
So there was an on Lincoln and I can't remember the cross,
[44:26]
because the martyne was picked up for me.
[44:31]
Anyway, somebody called, they said there was an owl that was in danger.
[44:34]
And he went out and the owl, because of the heavy rain,
[44:37]
it got soaked and it couldn't fly.
[44:39]
And there was maybe something with its leg also.
[44:42]
So brought it back to the shelter and warmed it up a little bit.
[44:46]
and luckily California Wildlife, which is in Maloo Canyon, they hadn't closed for the evening
[44:54]
with Christmas Eve, so I was able to get it up there to them and they could rehab it.
[44:59]
And what they'll do is
[45:00]
Longing the sheets, they, you guys will pick them up. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. What did you say? So I was saying if we have to pick up wildlife, because they're safer, injured, or there's a problem. We, we do have relationships with California Wildlife Center and other rescue organizations, but oftentimes they do get you tonight's because they can't, they can't get you.
[45:29]
people say, well, I don't want my backyard come pick it up from my backyard and they'll put it down the street, we can't do that.
[45:37]
So, I say if they're very sick or very injured, they'll be humanly utilized.
[45:42]
If they can be helped, like the raccoons and the possums and the other wildlife, we will talk to our rescue partners to try to help them.
[45:52]
And sometimes they're able to be helped and sometimes they aren't.
[45:56]
Dogs and cats that we picked up, they go back to the shelter if they are, again, healthy,
[46:03]
adoptable animals, that's where my full shelter of animals comes from, it's typically
[46:09]
strange from the street, or people surrendering, and if they're not, then we'll have our vet
[46:15]
to evaluate them and you make a decision of what needs to happen.
[46:19]
Is there a protected animal that you can, that you have to take back to the woods or something
[46:25]
Is there any animal that's protected in the animal?
[46:30]
Yes.
[46:32]
Yes.
[46:32]
I definitely would see like in the city of Santa Monica.
[46:36]
So the owls, for example, owls are...
[46:41]
But I just took an owl, Christmas Eve.
[46:47]
It was Christmas Eve.
[46:48]
It was 24th.
[46:50]
Where we had the heavy rain.
[46:52]
So, there was an on Lincoln, and I can't remember the cross, because the martyne was picked up for me.
[47:01]
Anyway, somebody called me and said there was an owl that was in danger.
[47:04]
And he went out and the owl, because of the heavy rain, he got soaked and he couldn't fly.
[47:09]
And there was maybe something with his leg also.
[47:13]
So, brought it back to the shelter and warmed it up a little bit.
[47:16]
and luckily California Wildlife, which is in Maloo Canyon, they had it closed for the evening
[47:24]
as Christmas Eve so I was able to get it up there to them and they could rehab it.
[47:28]
And what they'll do is they will, we have to tell them where we pick up the animal
[47:33]
and once they get it back to health, they will bring it back and they'll put it back
[47:40]
in the area that we found it because they have their territorial animals
[47:45]
And then also for disease spread and things, but people say, well, why can't you just take the
[47:51]
Coyote and put it over here or why can't you take this animal and put it over there?
[47:55]
You actually, we're not allowed to for state law because of
[47:59]
disease control. They have to stay in the area that they were found in. So the
[48:07]
Rehabers and the wildlife centers, they will release that back to where they were
[48:12]
first found.
[48:13]
So they don't all get, and I don't want you to think that all the animals do, but I
[48:18]
don't, you know, with, like sometimes it has to happen, yes, no?
[48:21]
I'm going to ask that.
[48:23]
I'm going to ask if I live in the 16th and the 11th.
[48:28]
And if it's true or not, the neighbors have said that on 16th and the 11th have a cemetery.
[48:40]
There's big, they don't live there.
[48:42]
That's the idea.
[48:44]
There are kind of...
[48:45]
That's right, I've seen the kind of...
[48:46]
Right, so there's kind of this...
[48:48]
There's kind of this whole incident.
[48:51]
We have dealt with a few kind of these
[48:55]
that were inside the cemetery
[48:57]
and going back to...
[48:59]
And we talked to them about how to make it
[49:02]
more secure and to not invite them
[49:05]
to the gentleman's point.
[49:07]
One of the issues was
[49:09]
There was a lady coming to the cemetery to feed them, and again just like the raccoons and the lady on San Vicente, who was feeding them.
[49:19]
There was a lady coming to the cemetery that we found out about, from cemetery staff and from residents that said,
[49:26]
the reason these coyotes keep coming is because this lady comes every day and feeds them and they learn to feed them.
[49:32]
So she got talked to and it helped.
[49:37]
But there you can see them, you can't.
[49:41]
You can see them at the cemetery.
[49:43]
You can see them walking in the streets and you can
[49:46]
because they live among us.
[49:50]
Like I said, when we need to get called,
[49:51]
is if their behavior, if they're acting differently
[49:56]
than they should, they should not want to be near you.
[49:59]
They should not want to be around people or anything they should run out.
[50:04]
And if they're not running away or they're coming close or they're obviously growling or having aggressive behavior or they look sick, then we need to get caught because we need to come out and take a look at them.
[50:21]
And they said.
[50:28]
I've been asking.
[50:38]
It's not true.
[50:41]
But, yes.
[50:44]
I'm not.
[50:44]
I'm not.
[50:44]
I have no one in my life in this world.
[50:46]
on to the 14th and they were walking by the auto body shop, turning down 14th. And as I was making my life, I've seen them all the time.
[50:59]
And then they both arrived across the street towards the cemetery.
[51:02]
And they like it there obviously because there's not a lot of people, there's not a lot of cars.
[51:09]
you know they can kind of hide they hunt typically in the night hours during the day
[51:17]
they're usually laying down and hiding so it's nighttime darkness you know
[51:21]
they're really morning hours before the sun comes up at night our K-9 officers
[51:27]
police K-9 officers that you know they work overnight they they've encountered
[51:34]
them at the cemetery when they've taken their K-9 partners over there to
[51:39]
stretch their legs a little bit. They've had some encounters with coyotes in the
[51:46]
cemetery in the late night hours too. So it's just going to be aware of I said
[51:53]
don't touch wild animals, don't approach wild animals, don't let your kids touch
[51:58]
wild animals or approach wild animals because we get a lot of that as well where
[52:02]
people think they're cute and the kids want to touch them. They're dangerous, they
[52:07]
disease, and they can cause a lot of injury. But we're on duty seven days a week, just
[52:16]
like Jack said, for the non-emergency number for the encampments. You can call a non-emergency
[52:22]
number for us as well. If you have an animal issue, call a non-emergency dispatch, and they
[52:28]
will dispatch one of my officers out. We're here seven days a week, normally from six
[52:33]
in the morning till 6 a.m.
[52:35]
It's our basic hours at 6 a.m.
[52:37]
Sometimes a little later, but every day 6 a.m.
[52:41]
And I said the officers control the city
[52:43]
and respond to all the calls.
[52:45]
Whenever it is, it's a handle call.
[52:47]
It's coming our way.
[52:49]
Just last thing that builds my question
[52:51]
very much about my neighbor
[52:53]
without me exposing them directly
[52:55]
to be the one who's going to report her.
[52:58]
What do you suggest that what you're advised
[53:02]
What's the best thing to do with my build-in, to be able to get a note or message to that specific
[53:14]
neighbor, to understand the Virginia to do that behavior?
[53:19]
You know, it's already something that's formal, you know, human communication.
[53:24]
So that in order to get more, like, let's say, you go directly to the corporation who
[53:33]
operates the building, or it's any way you can language your stock to walk a building
[53:41]
and just, you know, keep some kind of noise and say, do not beat the wall, any walls, whatever
[53:48]
We can, and it's better to go directly to the person that's doing it, you know, instead of a general advisor, right?
[54:00]
We wouldn't share, you know, we don't tell them who called us.
[54:05]
If we get a call, you know, somebody called this battery, you call our office, you say, you know, at this building, or this property, this person is feeding raccoons every day.
[54:17]
That's all we need to know, you don't have to say we are, we just say what the problem is and we'll go out and, you know, talk to the person.
[54:28]
It's not only the right call, it is possible.
[54:31]
To see the everything.
[54:33]
We need the doctor to ask.
[54:36]
Yeah, we don't want any of that happening.
[54:40]
So my recommendation would be to let us know the address of any info that we need to know about her, and then we can go and address her.
[54:52]
I don't, but I can give you a full number of emails there that I can grab on my phone.
[54:58]
So the office number for the annual chapter for direct is the 310-458-8595.
[55:12]
And then you can tell my office staff, they say you can call in, I just want to report
[55:17]
somebody who's eating and spoiled that.
[55:20]
You don't have to say who you are.
[55:22]
I want to report somebody who's eating one, but here's the address and here's, you know,
[55:27]
getting the intro on her obviously, where she lives or what she looks like.
[55:31]
You know, that would help us to talk to her, but you don't have to say who you are.
[55:35]
and then my wife should go out and they said there's a direct contact with her and it
[55:40]
would be not a complaint that you're doing this and you need to stop and educate her on it.
[55:47]
Yeah, because we said it's just going to create more issues and problems and we don't want that
[55:52]
because again the behavior is going to change for the animals and then they get more comfortable
[55:56]
around people and then that's what you have out.
[55:59]
Yeah, negative outcomes, because they're not well, they're not behaving normally, right?
[56:05]
And then it creates problems like they're going to the bathroom and they're getting in
[56:10]
the trash and then creating, you know, they have the babes to them.
[56:14]
They have the babes too, I mean, so I would say that the thing is called the caller office
[56:20]
and give the information on the locations and anything else for me to know.
[56:25]
and we'll definitely address it like so with the San Vicente we got calls because if you
[56:31]
were concerned about the coyotes and they say well what's going on because they weren't
[56:35]
acting normally like they're supposed to and then when we went out the first morning,
[56:40]
the first couple morning we saw like what are they doing? They ran away when they saw
[56:45]
us because that's what they're supposed to do and then we saw there's all this you know
[56:49]
cat food and things around the tree. Okay, somebody's feeding them. We went out again,
[56:56]
dealt with them, saw the food, didn't see her, but a neighbor came out and said,
[57:01]
hey, are you guys here because of the coyotes? Well, yeah. How you know there's a lady
[57:04]
who's building whatever they're going to see on this. And she comes out every morning and
[57:08]
feeds them at like five o'clock. Thank you. Following morning, Martin is sitting there
[57:15]
Here she comes and so we have to have people help us with that and I don't know what you know you don't want to cost
[57:24]
trouble in the unit like we don't say like oh you know this is who called us you know your neighbor
[57:30]
not what I say is mental issue because she what comes like you said like on 12 1 a.m. a.m. honestly it just got to be
[57:40]
Oh yeah, no there's a lady also we have a lady that's over near Hodgkin's park on the fourth street
[57:48]
That we're dealing with also she lives in
[57:54]
Brentwood or
[57:57]
She doesn't understand why I think it's Brentwood the residents that live in the property
[58:02]
We're calling us because she's comes out at two or three o'clock in the morning. They got her on their ring camera
[58:09]
They couldn't figure out why are there raccoons coming on their property?
[58:13]
What is going on?
[58:14]
Why they have?
[58:15]
So they saw the raccoons.
[58:17]
She's coming out at like two or three o'clock in the morning and she's putting out food
[58:21]
and she's speeding them.
[58:22]
So we have to do what we do and stop to that.
[58:26]
But I mean whether it's a mental health issue or they think they're doing the right thing
[58:31]
and trying to help, I don't know, but it's a problem and we have to address it.
[58:36]
So we'll help you if you need us, as best as we can.
[58:41]
Thank you.
[58:42]
Okay.
[58:42]
I'm sorry.
[58:43]
I just want to ask something real quick.
[58:45]
So because I mean, I haven't seen any of the coyotes, but you said that they're harmless.
[58:51]
Don't run away from you.
[58:53]
I was just going to run away from you.
[58:55]
Okay.
[58:56]
But do I need to fear from walking like my small dog with the coyote?
[59:01]
Right. So what I was saying is that they're normally afraid of people and don't want to be around people.
[59:11]
Normally. So if you're walking and you see, like if you're without your dog, if you were walking down the street
[59:16]
and there was a coyote, that coyote should not show you aggression or want to challenge you.
[59:25]
You should say, hey, get out of here, and that coyote should turn around and run away.
[59:31]
If you have a small dog with you, that changes things because they are prey animals.
[59:36]
So what we tell people is, if you're walking your small dogs and you know there's coyotes
[59:40]
in your area, carry something with you to make noise to try to scare them off because, again,
[59:46]
they should go. If you see it, pick up your end, pick up your dog with you.
[59:56]
We've had instances
[59:57]
This is like, where they do chase people and their...
[1:00:00]
We're closed. We've had instances where the kids have gotten chased and the mom and dad come out and I scare them off. Other cities, not
[1:00:07]
sent them like a thankfully, but other cities have had kids that have gotten bit. They have gotten bit by country. So there's nothing we can really do about it. I
[1:00:15]
say we live amongst wildlife. It's just being aware and having tools to deal with it. Like I said, you know, for them, noise maker, or something to try to scare
[1:00:26]
and a lot of people take a walking stick because they're paying the stick and you wave it out and then, you know, they're not going to put you in and come towards you.
[1:00:34]
So it's just stuff like, stuff like that, a whistle.
[1:00:36]
Yes.
[1:00:37]
A little bit or something.
[1:00:38]
No.
[1:00:39]
And he kind of allows us.
[1:00:40]
They don't like loud noises.
[1:00:41]
They don't want loud noises.
[1:00:42]
They don't want loud noises.
[1:00:43]
My experience, sorry.
[1:00:44]
When I used to work for all of a sudden, I want to welcome Bert and Wilshire.
[1:00:48]
And I get off a meeting night.
[1:00:50]
They're always there.
[1:00:51]
But you look kind of like.
[1:00:52]
So like, it's normal.
[1:00:53]
It's like a dog walking there.
[1:00:55]
How did they see her?
[1:00:57]
They're very like, respect you.
[1:00:59]
They're just walking away.
[1:01:00]
Yeah, but all my experience is like making magic.
[1:01:03]
You know what I mean?
[1:01:04]
I mean, they're seeing the rivalry.
[1:01:06]
But not in stand-on.
[1:01:08]
Yeah, that was the picture.
[1:01:10]
That was like a long time ago.
[1:01:12]
And I see the one over here,
[1:01:15]
14.
[1:01:16]
We put them in shortly after that.
[1:01:18]
I see two more.
[1:01:21]
and I was like, are all these representing two?
[1:01:23]
But because they're two again, they look exactly the same.
[1:01:27]
But they do tend to stay in the same area.
[1:01:29]
So like the ones that are at the cemetery,
[1:01:31]
are the tend to stay the ones on the north end
[1:01:34]
that are at the end of the stream.
[1:01:35]
They are at the airport, they are at the same
[1:01:38]
maximum there.
[1:01:40]
So they will, they'll stay in there, kind of, there.
[1:01:43]
Yeah.
[1:01:44]
Thank you so much.
[1:01:45]
Thank you so much.
[1:01:46]
Absolutely.
[1:01:47]
Thank you.
[1:01:52]
If you have any time you invite us back, we'll have to leave now.
[1:01:58]
You can always call us.
[1:01:59]
You can only get on the way to the meeting.
[1:02:02]
I gave the number.
[1:02:03]
I'm sorry I didn't bring the current.
[1:02:05]
But in my email, do you want my email?
[1:02:08]
Oh, please.
[1:02:09]
Yes, because Tom will be here.
[1:02:11]
So it's Robert Doc Silverstein.
[1:02:15]
Santa Monica doctor.
[1:02:19]
Is there a general email for the office that we should use?
[1:02:24]
It's shelter at Santa Monica doctor. You said what was the doctor?
[1:02:28]
Robert got silver steam at Santa Monica doctor. Oh, it's Santa Monica.
[1:02:34]
We're not Santa Monica or Santa Monica. And then the general mailbox that I just gave was
[1:02:40]
It's shelter at Santa Monica dog dog.
[1:02:44]
And so you can always just email concerns
[1:02:46]
that's done there.
[1:02:48]
And then my ad in any staff, Karen,
[1:02:51]
Karen goes through that, and then officer Hernandez
[1:02:53]
is the lead officer, he goes through it,
[1:02:55]
you know, and goes through that.
[1:02:57]
That may have walked to get all the concerns
[1:02:59]
and questions and stuff, too.
[1:03:01]
Hi, I have one more question.
[1:03:02]
Yes, but do you take donations of dogs in?
[1:03:05]
As long as it's unopened, yes.
[1:03:07]
So we take donations of food,
[1:03:09]
food and toys, blankets and things, but the food, um, un-opened food.
[1:03:13]
Because once it's over, we can't, we can't use it.
[1:03:16]
Yeah.
[1:03:17]
Yeah.
[1:03:18]
Thank you so much.
[1:03:21]
All right.
[1:03:22]
Thank you all.
[1:03:22]
Thank you.
[1:03:23]
Thank you.
[1:03:24]
Thank you.
[1:03:24]
Thank you.
[1:03:25]
Thank you.
[1:03:26]
Thank
[1:03:31]
you.
[1:03:33]
Okay.
[1:03:34]
I feel sorry to keep you doing this.
[1:03:36]
I know.
[1:03:37]
Yeah.
[1:03:38]
I know.
[1:03:39]
I know.
[1:03:40]
I know.
[1:03:41]
I know.
[1:03:42]
I don't worry, it's no, I learned a lot.
[1:03:45]
There's nothing really important.
[1:03:48]
Librarians are like, how do we like it?
[1:03:50]
Quiet.
[1:03:53]
Anyway, so I will be quick, because there's so much stuff
[1:03:58]
that I got in the world, we'll keep it simple.
[1:04:01]
The library will be at the Greens Festival.
[1:04:06]
We're going to be purchasing books to give away
[1:04:09]
to the kids I have.
[1:04:11]
Yeah, we're looking forward to that.
[1:04:12]
But yeah, we'll be great.
[1:04:16]
And it's such an interesting thing this year
[1:04:19]
to the topics get really low.
[1:04:22]
Is there coming to be a reading?
[1:04:24]
Is there an outfit?
[1:04:26]
That's going to read.
[1:04:27]
You look a little bit in my knowledge yet.
[1:04:30]
Well, I refer to somebody to Liz.
[1:04:34]
So I think she was going to reach out to that.
[1:04:36]
It was a, so I don't know where she is with that.
[1:04:41]
But you wanted the librarians?
[1:04:45]
No, not necessarily.
[1:04:47]
But somebody who would be familiar with kind of the pathways in him.
[1:04:55]
Yeah, maybe even in the community.
[1:04:57]
And we know that that love is very good.
[1:05:02]
We want some too.
[1:05:03]
I don't know if you knew that.
[1:05:04]
I really love you.
[1:05:06]
He's a very famous guy.
[1:05:08]
Well, me and my daughter actually, I think,
[1:05:10]
are red, was walking through and I think
[1:05:13]
I mean that.
[1:05:14]
Yeah, he's a really interesting character.
[1:05:17]
I don't know.
[1:05:17]
I mean, Liz, is there somebody that's
[1:05:20]
been retained to read or do something
[1:05:23]
out the Green's Festival this year?
[1:05:26]
No.
[1:05:27]
Okay.
[1:05:27]
Yeah.
[1:05:28]
Okay.
[1:05:29]
So.
[1:05:29]
It's not all that lead.
[1:05:33]
Yeah.
[1:05:34]
I left copies of the calendar for February.
[1:05:39]
We're already there almost, the way the world's moving.
[1:05:43]
So you take a look at that.
[1:05:45]
And then I also left bookmarks and information.
[1:05:49]
And I forget somebody had asked not that long ago,
[1:05:53]
a couple of meetings ago about why doesn't the city
[1:05:57]
do reading programs?
[1:05:59]
Well, Santa Monica reads that the books
[1:06:02]
history in the libraries. Every library should have some. So start by just the book and
[1:06:09]
there are I think three book discussions scheduled. So that's coming up pretty soon.
[1:06:17]
Is there a specific book? Yeah. I'm blocking it. And the book book book. What is it?
[1:06:27]
at the end of your life, is there really one of these?
[1:06:32]
It's a bit of a far-liad thing, isn't it?
[1:06:35]
I don't read it now, I don't even know.
[1:06:38]
Oh, okay.
[1:06:39]
Oh, cool.
[1:06:40]
She wanted the title.
[1:06:41]
I'm clearly blocking on it.
[1:06:43]
Thank you, sorry.
[1:06:44]
I'll return it.
[1:06:46]
What are you looking for?
[1:06:47]
Oh, what are you looking for is in the library, okay.
[1:06:52]
So it's by a Japanese author.
[1:06:56]
I think she'll be attending online to speak about the book, she'll, she won't need to use
[1:07:04]
a translator because she does not speak English, but she'll be interesting, she'll be interesting.
[1:07:13]
And will we be able to just go take this book up for free at the library?
[1:07:20]
there's a copy still at the library. I've seen all of them. And Ocean Park and Fairview are now open three days a week.
[1:07:29]
You don't have to do any gymnastics to get it. You can just walk through the doors now.
[1:07:36]
We have staff present. We almost always have a live runner in there.
[1:07:41]
The official kind of reopening has happened last week.
[1:07:47]
Fairview is Tuesday and Ocean Park was Wednesday and it was just remarkably wonderful.
[1:07:57]
How thrilled the people and the neighborhoods that are served by those libraries.
[1:08:02]
They were just so excited that their library was open.
[1:08:06]
Yes.
[1:08:07]
but they can walk in.
[1:08:08]
No people.
[1:08:10]
Yeah.
[1:08:11]
Everywhere.
[1:08:12]
That's why they're there.
[1:08:13]
And, you know, when it's something that's missing
[1:08:16]
through the community, the community field itself.
[1:08:18]
Yeah.
[1:08:19]
Well, we've been so grateful for the support
[1:08:22]
of community members, people have gone to city council meetings.
[1:08:26]
And we're very happy that our new city manager has been
[1:08:30]
really listened to people in the city
[1:08:34]
about what they need or want. So that's been great. Yeah, so there are any questions, or?
[1:08:43]
No. Okay, I think you were right. Sorry, this is the library calendar. That's the majority
[1:08:55]
of events. Okay, so do you print this because everything will be analog in like this?
[1:09:04]
This, this, this room in the library, because like the text thing, is that part of the library?
[1:09:12]
The Viva.
[1:09:14]
In here yet is sponsored by the library.
[1:09:17]
If it's written on this page, it's sponsored by the library.
[1:09:21]
Yeah, everything is done by the library.
[1:09:22]
It's always been sponsored by the library?
[1:09:25]
Yeah.
[1:09:25]
The Haven in collaboration with the library.
[1:09:28]
Yeah.
[1:09:28]
No, we never do that.
[1:09:29]
Yeah, we schedule it at the different libraries, different locations.
[1:09:32]
I never knew that. I mean, I've used them a couple of times. I've never knew it was part of the library.
[1:09:38]
And then there's the gentlemen on the 28th. What was that?
[1:09:41]
It's on Friday.
[1:09:43]
The 28th is a Saturday.
[1:09:47]
About preparing for retirement.
[1:09:49]
So yeah, we've been sketching on a lot of really practical, helpful, you know, programs that impact people's lives.
[1:09:59]
Yes, I saw that.
[1:10:01]
Yeah, I should probably have done it.
[1:10:04]
Maybe in there.
[1:10:06]
Maybe in there.
[1:10:09]
In stage and task, we need to call for a reservation or just come and go.
[1:10:14]
To do for stage and task.
[1:10:18]
Do they can read there?
[1:10:20]
Taken task.
[1:10:21]
Oh, Taken task. No, you just walked in.
[1:10:23]
So it's here.
[1:10:25]
It has been so popular here.
[1:10:27]
They need in the annex every Tuesday from two to four.
[1:10:34]
So you just come in.
[1:10:36]
There are usually about five or six volunteers here to help people.
[1:10:44]
Everybody gets help.
[1:10:47]
That's here.
[1:10:50]
It's something in the literacy area, it's right here, sorry, right here, yeah, there's
[1:10:58]
tutoring, okay, okay, okay, so it's a main library on Thursdays and it's here on Tuesdays
[1:11:08]
which is great, yeah, it's so helpful. A lot of people in the neighborhood said, my mom doesn't
[1:11:17]
how to use your phone.
[1:11:20]
I don't want to mess with that, yeah.
[1:11:23]
The kids are patient about that.
[1:11:26]
So it's great enough help you to use your device
[1:11:29]
so those answer questions if you're
[1:11:31]
trying to apply for all kinds of things, though,
[1:11:35]
help you move to sleep forms.
[1:11:37]
It's really a great thing, right?
[1:11:39]
My whole information is,
[1:11:44]
I feel like you take
[1:11:47]
from that. Two to four because primarily our elderly community members use it and they
[1:11:59]
don't want to be out at night. And my mom doesn't get out for him too. She doesn't get out
[1:12:05]
here until about three. Three? Yes and then I was wondering about people who aren't working
[1:12:12]
that get off later. Like is there not a way that you can maybe alternate and see if you can get a later, a crop that comes in later?
[1:12:20]
Because if you're not only the people that are elder in the elder, but my mom is 60, but she is not Texan.
[1:12:30]
Well we change the times because of winter kind of hours and then it gets dark early.
[1:12:35]
So when we get back to spring, when the time changes, it'll probably be three, but I'll
[1:12:46]
talk to the group about that when they're playing with that.
[1:12:50]
But right now people get headaches for us, just not wanting to be able to, when we start
[1:12:57]
out, which makes sense.
[1:12:58]
Don't want to be out with the coyotes, right?
[1:13:06]
We live at the end of the red lamp, and it's pretty normal, I've seen that early in the morning, a lot of pets have disappeared.
[1:13:33]
That's why I chipped for the day, thank you so much, it's great to see you, I always
[1:13:46]
I just learned so much.
[1:13:47]
I really enjoyed hearing about it.
[1:13:49]
I don't know what you're talking about.
[1:13:51]
I better stop feeding the squirrels.
[1:13:53]
I don't know about that.
[1:13:54]
Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and call the law.
[1:13:57]
I don't know you.
[1:13:58]
Yeah, man.
[1:13:59]
I think that's fine.
[1:14:00]
All right.
[1:14:01]
OK, so everybody can go through our minutes
[1:14:06]
from December 15th to May 5th and make a motion.
[1:14:32]
Okay, because I have to see him in the last few times.
[1:14:37]
Two of the last three meetings he's missed, and then a few before that.
[1:14:43]
There's not in a row, but this is the second one in a row.
[1:14:46]
The reason why I'm asking is because somebody called me today and asked me about, you know,
[1:14:54]
positions still on the board here.
[1:14:57]
Yeah, and I was like, I don't know if there's two.
[1:15:00]
Well, we changed the times because of winter kind of hours, and then it gets dark early. So when we get back to spring, when the time changes, it'll probably be, I don't know, I'll talk to the group about that. When they're planning for that. But right now, people get headaches for us. Just not wanting to be able to, when we want to start out, which makes sense. Yeah.
[1:15:28]
Don't want to be out with the coyotes?
[1:15:30]
Yeah!
[1:15:32]
They know!
[1:15:33]
Well, we have coyotes that aren't even good all the time.
[1:15:36]
We live at the end of the red land.
[1:15:38]
Well, okay.
[1:15:39]
But isn't our normal?
[1:15:40]
It's pretty normal.
[1:15:42]
I've seen that.
[1:15:43]
Yeah.
[1:15:44]
Early in the morning.
[1:15:45]
Yeah.
[1:15:45]
A lot of pets have disappeared.
[1:15:49]
And so, Gina?
[1:15:50]
Yeah.
[1:15:51]
And so, Gina.
[1:15:53]
Sorry.
[1:15:54]
People have...
[1:15:55]
She's in a lot of pets have disappeared.
[1:15:56]
You're another honor of being here.
[1:15:59]
You're another honor of being here.
[1:16:00]
No.
[1:16:01]
No.
[1:16:01]
You're another honor of being here.
[1:16:03]
Yeah.
[1:16:03]
That's my tips for the day.
[1:16:06]
Thank you.
[1:16:07]
You're the honor of being here.
[1:16:07]
The day we'll meet again.
[1:16:08]
All right.
[1:16:11]
Well, thank you so much.
[1:16:12]
I'm so grateful.
[1:16:14]
I see you.
[1:16:15]
You're the one who's here.
[1:16:16]
I always learned so much.
[1:16:17]
I really enjoyed hearing about animal creatures.
[1:16:20]
I did a stop-feeding support role.
[1:16:29]
Okay, so everybody can go through our minutes from December 15th, 25th and make a motion.
[1:17:03]
The last two of the last three meetings he's missed and then a few before that.
[1:17:13]
There's not not in a row, but this is the second one in a row.
[1:17:16]
The reason why I'm asking is because somebody called me today and asked me about, you know,
[1:17:24]
position still on the board here. Yeah, and I was like, I don't know if there's two, three, four,
[1:17:30]
I don't know. We're about to get to that, right? Yes, we're about to get to that, right?
[1:17:36]
Okay,
[1:17:38]
let's move on to the first minute.
[1:17:44]
Okay, I think both of you are pretty good.
[1:17:49]
December 15 to 25 minutes.
[1:17:53]
I don't know if I can say aye.
[1:17:57]
Okay, the I have his
[1:18:01]
name.
[1:18:08]
There's no vote out on the agenda.
[1:18:13]
So I was moved on to 13 of the APA membership discussion of the APA recruitment process.
[1:18:26]
So the advisory board application opened this morning.
[1:18:31]
There was an email that went out to the larger VAP email blast.
[1:18:37]
It is also up on the advisory board website now.
[1:18:41]
So it just happened today, but one person has already applied, it'll be open until March 13 at 5 p.m.
[1:18:53]
That's going to be the deadline.
[1:18:56]
So people are able to apply online through the link that was sent out, or they can ask for a hard copy if they come to our office.
[1:19:05]
hard copies can be printed directly to Emma or Kimberly, and then we will be checking periodically the online to see how many responses were received.
[1:19:16]
And was there a question about the age or something? I thought we were talking about that before.
[1:19:21]
No, what we were saying that we wanted to open it up to. We want to make sure the wording is friendly to younger people who would want to join that younger than the norm.
[1:19:34]
The application says 18 plus, so we were trying to get, we were trying to encourage younger
[1:19:40]
people to apply while not being specific to that.
[1:19:44]
Well,
[1:19:51]
did we send out how to fully publicize it and we just open it up on the platform?
[1:19:56]
It's on the website for the advisory board and then the email blast that has over, it's
[1:20:04]
It's close to 300 email addresses, everyone who has registered for the BEP, like News
[1:20:10]
Lotter.
[1:20:10]
So Kimberly sends out all the emails, like updates, events, and information that's coming
[1:20:17]
up.
[1:20:17]
That's who it all went out to as well.
[1:20:20]
I did reach out to the communications person to date for the city today because I can't
[1:20:27]
remember if in the past Carly used to do a press release.
[1:20:31]
So that's the only thing that's awkward until I might know more.
[1:20:36]
I think she might have.
[1:20:37]
She might have?
[1:20:38]
I don't think so.
[1:20:40]
I will say this though.
[1:20:42]
I don't think I've ever received anything from Kimberly stating any use.
[1:20:49]
You don't know what it is?
[1:20:51]
It's a virginity.
[1:20:52]
Yeah.
[1:20:52]
It comes from the virginity of New Park Mailbox.
[1:20:55]
216.
[1:20:56]
I think you should all have received it today.
[1:21:00]
But, like, maybe only two spot cars, like, two seats.
[1:21:05]
Two seats, right?
[1:21:06]
Two seats, right over there.
[1:21:08]
Possibly three.
[1:21:09]
Possibly three.
[1:21:10]
Also, just, I mentioned, like, not receiving more emails,
[1:21:15]
like, in the past, we used to receive my wife and my family.
[1:21:21]
My family used to receive a lot of multiple email from the park.
[1:21:24]
But, not lately, I don't know if he somehow,
[1:21:28]
Well, the database is not accurate or just like don't have access to all these emails.
[1:21:35]
Just you know, just.
[1:21:36]
Yeah, oh.
[1:21:37]
If you send me the email address, this will double check.
[1:21:40]
We use the same one that, um, that cartilage behind.
[1:21:43]
See, cartilage, I used to get emails specifically from cartilage.
[1:21:47]
Oh, we send it after being emailed.
[1:21:50]
If it would be like a resource or an information.
[1:21:53]
Yeah.
[1:21:54]
You're not getting those?
[1:21:56]
I'm trying to see if I can get it.
[1:21:58]
I see this one as if Virginia has a part, but I used to have the Carlos names to be like
[1:22:04]
flooding in mine.
[1:22:05]
Yeah.
[1:22:05]
Yeah.
[1:22:06]
And now they all go out through the being email box and Kimberly sends at least like one
[1:22:11]
a week with like the library events or the farmer's market.
[1:22:16]
I think farmer's market one went out today.
[1:22:19]
Yeah.
[1:22:21]
But also we'll check to make sure that your email addresses are on there because the board
[1:22:25]
is supposed to automatically be on there, but I'll double check it. I'll make a note to double check.
[1:22:31]
Okay, so add hot committee reports. Do we have any, do you have any, at least?
[1:22:42]
I say no before, but I think that's the work you have. We're still working on it, so okay.
[1:22:48]
Okay, so we will table any reports from any ad hoc till the next month.
[1:22:55]
Yes.
[1:22:57]
You will be gone.
[1:22:58]
And that was the L-13B.
[1:23:00]
We're going to be in the L-13C discussion and possible action to schedule.
[1:23:05]
And then I, for a committee.
[1:23:08]
So I would say that I can't remember.
[1:23:14]
We don't write this down.
[1:23:15]
If we can make the city danger yet?
[1:23:19]
It was scheduled and he hasn't been able to make it.
[1:23:23]
And then that happened once, last month, and then he wasn't available this month.
[1:23:28]
So we'll continue to try.
[1:23:30]
I believe there is a regular, a regular meeting that he attends that coincides with this
[1:23:40]
one, which makes it difficult.
[1:23:42]
But I'm not entirely sure, but we can continue to work toward that and having him.
[1:23:48]
He's made it a point to attempt to visit every board and commission within the city.
[1:23:52]
I don't think he's crossed them all off of his list yet, but it's something that's top of mind for me.
[1:23:58]
I'll keep trying.
[1:23:59]
That and we are willing to meet the officially the new police.
[1:24:06]
We have not met the police here yet.
[1:24:42]
We tried to get very thin in that group, and you did for your group.
[1:24:48]
Let's try the flow now.
[1:24:52]
Definitely, please chief.
[1:24:56]
Dean doesn't want to have a half America.
[1:25:01]
If there's any group, if there's my one, I may have to do it.
[1:25:06]
I'll see if I can start the process.
[1:25:08]
So I can't make a promise right now, but we'll put it on the list. Yeah
[1:25:13]
The city
[1:25:22]
Now if we can't get any of those what else is there is somebody to go to try to invite for our next month's
[1:25:41]
Yes, well I think before we get to that we can talk about that but we also want to talk about when our next meeting is so in February
[1:25:48]
So our regular meeting day falls on a holiday next month so we're not going to have it its president's day. Yes, and that's the 16th so we can either not have a meeting in February or we can have a meeting the last week in February.
[1:26:01]
like we did this month have a special meeting but we want to make that decision tonight so
[1:26:10]
the meeting
[1:26:11]
date that would be proposed would be the 23rd of February.
[1:26:21]
Otherwise it would be March 16th
[1:26:23]
which would be the March regular date.
[1:26:39]
I'm free on the 23rd.
[1:26:41]
Me too.
[1:26:43]
Me too.
[1:26:46]
I'm free right now.
[1:26:49]
I'm free right now too.
[1:26:53]
I would like to make a motion to move our regular schedule
[1:26:56]
meeting to the special meeting on February 23rd.
[1:27:21]
So I will see who's available from that list we talked about on top of that is there
[1:27:27]
anything else that's that's top of mine that maybe you'd like to discuss have on the
[1:27:32]
agenda or maybe I can try to coordinate in the next little few weeks to have come and visit
[1:27:39]
Yeah, yeah, always.
[1:27:40]
Right, because I'm looking at it.
[1:27:42]
Yeah, she has, hey, you learn up from the fire department
[1:27:45]
panel, prevention coordinator, Kathy Taylor.
[1:27:49]
She had mentioned that she'd want to come to one of our
[1:27:52]
meetings, but I couldn't remember if she already had her
[1:27:54]
to lose a job.
[1:27:55]
Kathy Taylor.
[1:27:56]
Sorry.
[1:27:58]
Oh, you know what?
[1:27:59]
You're waiting on, though.
[1:28:01]
Aren't we waiting on, right?
[1:28:02]
Or are we thinking?
[1:28:04]
You think you can just talk about the kitchen, right?
[1:28:10]
And then Natasha said that she wouldn't sit back after there's an update to get.
[1:28:15]
And then Natasha said that she would come to one of our meetings once she has an update.
