[2:40] work we do is kind of boils down to hopefully no rain

[2:47] great event. As of all the preparation you've helped

[2:57] As you know, each month we can't go over our funding, sponsorships, and

[3:02] expenditures associated with the event.

[3:05] First, um we've updated the expenditures.

[3:10] The city council at the conclusion of 2025 for fiscal year 2026 set aside

[3:15] $70,000 for the event. We've spent approximately $48,000

[3:21] to date. Simple math. I think we hopefully do.

[3:26] We have about $22,000 left of that original $70,000 budget.

[3:31] But as you know, as referenced in the next item on the agenda,

[3:36] you all have raised approximately $41,000

[3:40] through sponsorships, um increasing the fees associated with

[3:46] the booths, and several other steps to make this a solvent um

[3:51] effort during the in the

[3:54] uh so We're about $48,000. We did a lot of those

[4:00] um um releases, so to speak, this past week

[4:05] to basically catch up on all of the performers, stages, etc.

[4:12] We reserved those with half of the amount and then about this time a year

[4:17] we release the rest. So, numbers pretty good.

[4:22] Doing very well, I think, relative to expenditures.

[4:26] Again, we've uh raised over $43,000 through our efforts, and that does

[4:31] include fees, and Crystal kind of go through the numbers on that

[4:36] relative to the booths, the vendors, all of those components.

[4:41] Um we have made some um

[4:45] we've had discussions with the Lions Club, Rotary Club

[4:49] about the beer. I think we're in pretty good shape

[4:52] relative to our new vendor. We did notify the Honda Civic Association about

[4:58] the decision. Uh they also said that their application

[5:02] fee for the R F P be refunded, which we did.

[5:06] I believe it was $50. >> 250.

[5:09] » 250. So, we did return it given it's a not-for-profit

[5:14] and doing things for the children here in

[5:18] Um in terms of the new efforts, everything that you identified at the

[5:23] start of this year, January-February time frames,

[5:27] we implemented or are about to start. And the one we're

[5:33] about to start is I put in the memorandum that come Friday we'll make

[5:38] we'll do some advertisements on website, e-newsletter, and elsewhere

[5:42] about having the Celebrate Bob Woodward available for purchase in advance of the

[5:47] event. I would encourage people to wear their

[5:51] t-shirts or whatever they might purchase at the event and promote it as we go

[5:56] into the next couple of weeks. Um we've talked with

[6:02] the news magazine. We've gone through the proofs.

[6:06] Um I think they didn't sell it one or two

[6:10] of the the

[6:12] the art advertisements.

[6:15] So that's a little disappointing, but we have nothing to do with that.

[6:20] We still have the full eight-page pullout section

[6:24] in the news magazine that'll be published.

[9:29] There's two two things I'd like them to do. First, I want to make sure they

[9:33] secure their area on Saturday, cuz that is part of the parade route that there's

[9:39] no risk to anybody going

[9:50] And then secondly, I want them to clean it up.

[9:52] Cuz it looks doesn't look very good.

[9:55] I know it's a construction site and it's a restricted site, 2 acres or so with

[10:00] 180 units being built in four-story building, but

[11:27] attending as our grand marshals. I will also say that

[11:32] Mayor Garratano is trying to see if the manager of the

[11:35] St. Louis Cardinals would like to participate in the parade.

[11:39] He's making that outreach. If he's successful, that's great. We'll have a

[11:45] third grand marshal. Probably one of the most popular grand

[11:48] marshal. So,

[15:23] good spots Um um watching down here in the vendor

[15:28] area um during the vendor area and I'm sure

[15:31] they'll be all spread out up into the oval as well and

[15:35] kids area um so the the layout is

[15:39] very very close as far as vendors being assigned

[15:43] food vendors being in place. We can let everybody know um

[15:47] and we have really encouraged food vendors to come up and kind of take a

[15:50] look at their spots because of everything they need to

[15:54] bring. So if you have any questions about the

[15:57] layout, we'd be happy to answer that. Um

[16:07] couple of people that needed medical attention.

[16:12] Some were criticized because the paramedic from Metro West was down

[16:22] new layout, we have the first aid tent next to the city tent up in

[16:28] So there'll be a one place

[16:31] to go if there is a particular issue or need. So we've addressed that criticism

[16:36] from last year.

[16:40] Pasquale when Chris suggested that, I thought it was a great idea cuz if you

[16:44] go out there and you take a look west from here at City Hall toward Crestview

[16:49] Drive this area where the grass didn't come in really well. It was seeded, not

[16:54] sodded. So with Pasquale there, they'll certainly dress that up just with their

[16:59] plantings and different things they do in their tents. So I just

[17:03] agreed with Chris. I thought it was an excellent suggestion to kind of pretty

[17:07] up the entry to the new Village Green.

[17:11] Um We've laid it out

[17:15] should say Stacy and Chris have laid it out so that

[17:20] there's a thought about how does everybody leave at different

[17:25] times? Cuz we have the vendors that close at

[17:28] 6:30, the bounce houses, the pony rides,

[17:31] everything kind of leaves about that same time. So that's the real, I think,

[17:37] functional part of this layout. The vendors can all go out

[17:42] on Main Street to the east or um a fountain place, whatever the

[17:47] situation, and not intrude into oval or the the stage or the music.

[17:56] Same goes for the the bounce houses, the pony rides, we can take them out

[18:01] Crestview Drive to the west. So the area in the oval where the food

[18:07] court is, the food tent, the beer sales, the stage, the entertainment,

[18:11] that kind of is just onto itself. Yeah. We know there's no disruption, very

[18:17] similar to what we did down here just to the east of the theater.

[18:22] So I think those are all positives and I think Chris and Stacy did a real nice

[18:26] job of kind of figuring it all out and making it work.

[18:31] Plenty of restrooms, wash stations, but this year

[18:36] just one last comment, we are we have the plein air event here at City Hall.

[18:43] First floor of City Hall will be will be open. So there'll be some restrooms

[18:48] inside the building. It's usually nice for what I would

[18:51] consider kids and seniors. Um it'll also be our cooling station in the

[18:56] event it was a little warmer than we hope.

[18:59] But we're also having the people's choice award, so

[19:03] people can come in, view the artwork, the photography, and then vote on their

[19:08] choice, and then we promised last night at the award ceremony we'll have a gift

[19:12] for you based on the people's choice. So, as you recommended, we're trying to

[25:55] Garitano. So, we will have the opening ceremonies

[25:59] where dignitaries, US the Commission, City Council,

[26:04] Grand Marshalls will all be introduced. And at the conclusion of the opening

[26:09] ceremonies, we're also going to go over the S&L cabin and have the ribbon

[26:13] cutting. >> Cool.

[26:18] » with a little luck, that we'll have sod on the ground and a

[26:22] walkway to the doors. Um And then it'll be ready

[26:27] to have to have its first tours. Also, the Wildwood Historical Society

[26:37] So, they'll have their series of tents, um which has typically been next to the

[26:43] city tent on Main Street, but they'll be over by the cabin

[26:47] for those reasons. So, we're thinking maybe around noon the

[26:52] band will start because we'll have finished the the ceremony.

[27:58] slightly heavier on artists, a little lighter on nonprofits. We just didn't

[28:02] have as much um in nonprofits this year. But

[28:06] we're really happy with the different varieties. The new ones um today uh

[28:12] there was one lady who does little decor out of books. Have you ever

[28:18] seen that where they It's like a pumpkin.

[28:21] Yeah, and it's a book. Yeah, a snowman. Um and the other lady, she does like

[28:27] little little tiny prints that she does with painting and Sharpies and stuff. So

[28:33] just something a little bit different. Um so

[28:44] some of the vendors have special needs, wheelchair accessible, you know, that

[28:48] kind of stuff, out of the sun. So, we did our best with that as well.

[39:05] we we've it's actually a pretty it's a working meeting. Then we conclude in

[39:10] November uh with the meeting schedule because we

[39:14] skip that first week in December because of the holidays. So, that's kind of what

[39:18] we've got a couple more meetings after tonight.

[41:15] having it sit out there for a few weeks and then throw it away, we're actually
