[1:03:26]
would like to remind everybody the in
[1:03:31]
the news this week we lost another
[1:03:33]
police officer and we seem to be losing
[1:03:36]
one or two almost every week it's
[1:03:40]
deplorable it's unacceptable if you see
[1:03:43]
our men and women in blue they are doing
[1:03:46]
a thankless job in many cases for
[1:03:52]
minimum wages and shake their hands
[1:03:56]
nothing else and take them to lunch if
[1:03:59]
you get a chance or by their lunch if
[1:04:00]
you see them and again without them we'd
[1:04:05]
have chaos thank you madam chair mr.
[1:04:07]
Sweeney thank you madam chair I just
[1:04:10]
want to reiterate the congratulatory
[1:04:11]

also the scholars that were here this
[1:04:15]
evening and particularly for Walton high
[1:04:19]

[1:04:26]
scholars scholars that recognize this
[1:04:28]
evening thank you thank you mr. banks
[1:04:31]
talking about a chair just want to
[1:04:33]
emphasize the graduations over with the
[1:04:38]
summer started there's a lot of activity
[1:04:40]
witness in the schools for summer
[1:04:43]
academies which are very aggressive this
[1:04:46]
year and also the sports academies and
[1:04:52]
the sports feeder schools programs that
[1:04:56]
are in process right now during the
[1:04:59]
summer so there's a lot of activity
[1:05:00]
going on in our schools even though
[1:05:02]
school is out i also want to
[1:05:05]
congratulate again not the treasure
[1:05:08]
patterson the principal at trent
[1:05:10]
elementary school for achieving the sax
[1:05:13]
or a bass dead stem certification which
[1:05:17]
is going to be recognized international
[1:05:18]
so that's that's the first elementary
[1:05:21]
school in these kaveri to have that
[1:05:24]
distinction hopefully there's some more
[1:05:27]
coming right behind there i also want to
[1:05:30]
say congratulate our thank you to the
[1:05:32]
cough Chamber of Commerce for putting on
[1:05:35]
the partnership form or summat this this
[1:05:40]
week where there was a good turnout that
[1:05:43]
a lot of principles some of assistant
[1:05:45]
principals were there and it people
[1:05:51]
don't really appreciate our know much
[1:05:52]
about our partnership programs that we
[1:05:55]
have with the chamber of commerce with
[1:05:56]
our business community it's very
[1:05:59]
critical to our schools particularly our
[1:06:01]
high schools that they participate
[1:06:04]
because they not only bring money but
[1:06:07]
they also bring experience and
[1:06:08]
commitment and care to our community so
[1:06:12]
thank you to the Chamber of Commerce for
[1:06:15]
putting this on and for their support of
[1:06:17]
the cobb county school district thank
[1:06:19]
you madam chair mr. Chastain thank you
[1:06:22]

[1:06:27]

[1:06:28]
for you know it thank you very soon
[1:06:31]
that's right um I again would like to
[1:06:34]
extend our sympathies to the wall family
[1:06:36]
and to the whole Kemp school family I
[1:06:38]
know it's difficult any time that we we
[1:06:41]
lose someone particularly tragically so
[1:06:43]
our thoughts will be with you and for
[1:06:46]
everyone else I do join mr. Chastain and
[1:06:48]
saying I hope you're having a good
[1:06:49]
summer Thank You mr. Ragsdale yes sir
[1:06:52]
ma'am cheer it does you know that's a
[1:06:57]
very heavy time when you lose an
[1:07:01]
employee especially in this manner the
[1:07:05]
gentle wall family will certainly be in
[1:07:07]
our thoughts and prayers be thinking
[1:07:10]
about you and wish you Godspeed in
[1:07:13]
getting through through this and know
[1:07:16]
that everyone will from the Kent family

[1:07:29]
remind all of our students as we focus
[1:07:32]
on this upcoming year is reading to keep
[1:07:36]
reading over the summer got a lot of
[1:07:38]
programs going on during the summer to
[1:07:39]
help her students maintain their
[1:07:41]
momentum going through the summer I'd
[1:07:44]
also like to say congratulations to to
[1:07:50]
one of our employees a teacher Scott
[1:07:53]
shomer as I was flipping around channels
[1:07:58]
this week I heard someone on wheel of
[1:08:02]
fortune say that they were from acworth
[1:08:04]
well of course I looked to see if you
[1:08:07]
knew and then Pat Sajak said and you're
[1:08:12]
a teacher and he said yes I'm a science
[1:08:16]
teacher at Harrison High School and
[1:08:20]
obviously definitely proud of him
[1:08:23]
representing us and he did very well he
[1:08:26]
won the game and went on to win the
[1:08:28]
final puzzle as well I'll not share how
[1:08:33]
much he won but not enough for him to
[1:08:36]
retire so he's back with us I emailed
[1:08:39]
him as I was watching and
[1:08:41]
duh obviously it was recorded earlier
[1:08:43]
but he certainly made us proud and want
[1:08:47]
to wish him congratulations also want to
[1:08:51]
wish good luck to Sheree Bronte she's
[1:08:54]
done a great job with the foundation
[1:08:57]
just had a lot of great success with the
[1:09:01]
foundation brought a lot of success to
[1:09:03]
our students and our teachers as far as
[1:09:06]
the nation's and contributions that had
[1:09:09]
been made there bounce and I wanted to
[1:09:13]
end up finally on I can't say how much
[1:09:18]
that we are excited me specifically to
[1:09:21]
welcome Donald Lowry to our one team she
[1:09:26]
is going to be just a tremendous team
[1:09:30]
player as she brings her numerous years
[1:09:35]
of experience over 29 years of
[1:09:37]
experience in broadcast on to us and
[1:09:40]
just real excited about what she's going
[1:09:42]
to be able to do for communications here
[1:09:46]
in our district and and just take us
[1:09:48]
above and beyond to sights unseen before
[1:09:52]
so I want to wish a hearty and humble
[1:09:56]
welcome to her and can't wait hopefully
[1:09:59]
she's watching and will be here first
[1:10:02]
thing in the morning I'm just kidding I
[1:10:03]
know she's not going to be so don't feel like you got to be here I was
[1:10:06]

[1:10:34]

[1:10:35]

[1:10:37]
