[3:00] land that's sinking at the back of my house. They determined it's coming from

[3:03] 611. Um Lindsey Bors, Terry Bors, if anybody knows him, the daughter Cody

[3:09] Bors works for Armstrong. Their water is all coming down at me. Everything

[3:13] attached to my house has been compromised. My sidewalk has fallen. My

[3:17] stoop in front has fallen. Had to take my mailbox off because the stoop is

[3:21] cracking. I moved bought a new mailbox, put it on a post, and moved it to the

[3:26] side. The latest thing that's concerning is my gas meter is tilting to the left.

[3:30] And the gas company came out a turning the gas company came out a Roger and he

[3:35] tested and he said that it's starting to like pull. He said keep a watch on it.

[3:40] Well, in the middle of the night if the ground sinks and somebody tosses and

[3:44] there's drug activity next door to me too, lady taken out in a body bag two

[3:49] Saturdays ago, they throw a vape up there or something up there and I go up

[3:54] in flames in the middle of the night and I blow up. Then who's responsible? Okay.

[3:59] They they can't be directing their water straight at me. It's not right. Last

[4:04] night, all the water coming down. Last month when I was here, we have had eight

[4:09] rains since July 21st when the last meeting it poured down. It stormed. It

[4:13] stormed. We had all these rains and I keep getting water every time.

[4:17] Everything sinks more and more and more. And it's coming from up at the top of

[4:22] the alley. And last night, I could have swore

[4:25] someone had it some pump and they thought it was funny and they're

[4:28] directing it down my way because I stood for three hours. If I can just give you

[4:32] these pictures, I didn't hit a chance. I just got them printed at Walmart. I was

[4:36] out there till 11:00 with a push broom pushing the water toward the drain. It

[4:41] bypasses. I need Mr. Addis. I need your the street department. I need you to

[4:46] direct someone in the street to come out and give me the kind of drain that

[4:51] everybody else in the city has that actually It takes in water. It bypasses

[4:56] me. There's four pictures. That was last night. This was this morning. This is

[5:02] last night. Either last night and this morning.

[5:07] It's eroded. The road is eroded. The neighbor that's directing his water

[5:12] toward me actually counted one day 16 trips back and forth. It's his own

[5:17] private driveway. I guess I got a mud hole. This is what's happened to my

[5:21] drain.

[5:25] The neighbor direct in the water thinks it's funny to run his tire

[5:28] [clears throat] tracks in my yard.

[5:32] This is my neighbor's fix for their water.

[5:41] These two houses are about the same distance apart as my neighbor at 611

[5:45] Davidson. And this is up at the between the 700 and 800 block on Bir Street

[5:50] coming down from Isabella. and they do not direct their water to their

[5:54] neighbors. So, this is what I need to submit. And I've got on my phone if you

[5:59] need dates. >> I'm just asking for a proper drain so

[6:03] that I don't have damage to my property and for people to quit sending their

[6:06] water into my yard. I am at the lowest level. That's all I'm asking. Mr. Addis,

[6:28] Uh, thank you, Mayor and Council. As you know, there are 280 names on our

[6:34] Veterans Memorial Honor roll at the corner of Pittsburgh Street and 119

[6:40] North. Unfortunately, many of those men were either lost at sea, buried or sea

[6:46] at sea, or were laid to rest in American military cemeteries in other parts of

[6:51] the world like Italy, Belgium, France, Normandy, Tunisia, and the Netherlands.

[6:58] And some are even laid to rest in Arlington and Gettysburg in other

[7:03] military cemeteries in the United States. But 113 out of those 280 men on

[7:10] the honor roll are laid to rest in our area cemeteries within the boundaries of

[7:16] the Conno area school district. Places like Dunbar, Moskin Township, Dawson,

[7:22] Normalville, Mil Run, and Dickerson Run. But we have three cemeteries here within

[7:29] the city limits of Connellsville. Hill Grove on Snyder Street, Chestnut Hill,

[7:35] and what is called Old St. Joseph's off of Wills Road near East Park. There are

[7:41] 495 veterans buried at Hillgrove on Snyder

[7:47] Street. 21 of them were lost while wearing the uniform of the United States

[7:54] military during a time of war, Civil War, World War I, etc. through the 20th

[8:01] century and the Middle East conflicts. There are 115 veterans buried at

[8:08] Chestnut Hill and eight of them made the supreme sacrifice.

[8:16] I would just like to remind the community of a project that was

[8:20] initiated [clears throat] earlier this year, adopt veterans grave

[8:25] project, and that we could follow in the footsteps of the people of the

[8:29] Netherlands. There is an American military cemetery

[8:33] at Marraten in the Netherlands. 8,300 Americans are laid to rest in just that

[8:42] one American military cemetery. And there are 1,700 more

[8:48] who were missing in action. Their bodies were never recovered. And there are

[8:53] markers for them at Marraten. [clears throat]

[8:57] This has been a tradition since the end of World War II in 1945

[9:02] for the people uh at Marraten. And it is so

[9:07] uh cherished as a tradition for all those years that there are 300

[9:14] families waiting to adopt a fallen hero. What is more poignant is we have three

[9:22] area men who are laid to rest at Margraden.

[9:25] Grant Lintman, Daniel Filurn, and William Yurich. They either went to

[9:31] Conno High School or Dumbar Township High School. and Lieutenant Walter Carr

[9:36] who was also a graduate of Dunore Township High School was shot down over

[9:41] Germany. His body was never recovered, but there

[9:45] is a marker for him at Margaret. And so I'm just announcing that again,

[9:50] reminding the community. Uh we do have of the 113

[9:56] men who are laid to rest in our area cemeteries, 34 of them have been

[10:00] adopted. So we're almost halfway there. Some people have adopted multiple

[10:07] graves. We have one family has adopted 10 graves in Springfield Township.

[10:52] that wants to um uh adopt a grave to reach out to you um and you can give

[10:58] them the information on what they need to do and uh where they're located at.

[11:12] Americans, people they never even met. And these are people in our school

[11:17] district. So any any family, any individual, any club organization, a

[11:27] they're located. We have their uh year of birth, their date of death, and also

[11:33] if someone adopts a grave, uh you don't have to cut the grass. Just go and pay

[11:39] your respects. If it's once a year, it could be Memorial Day or Veterans Day or

[11:44] the uh date of the man's sacrifice or his birthday. Because if you adopt one

[11:50] of these uh fallen heroes, I have bi biographical information on them, their

[11:57] uh dates of of birth, their dates of death, and even where they made that

[12:02] sacrifice. So, you know, it makes it more personal. If you adopt that person,

[12:07] uh you adopt them into your memory, uh their memory, I should [clears throat]

[12:11] say, you adopt their memory into your family and it it does make it very

[40:35] We had uh 44 calls. We had uh one explosion,

[40:41] one carbon monoxide call, two citizens uh request for assistance, two damage

[40:47] assessments, 10 fire alarms, two gas leaks, one hazardous materials release,

[40:55] one one lift assist, nine motor vehicle crashes,

[41:00] two false calls, one odor call, two rubbish fires, one traumatic injury, one

[41:08] swiftwater rescue, two smoke investigations, two structure fires, one

[41:14] trash fire, and one grass fire. We also provided uh fire suppression for the

[41:21] fireworks night. And uh we also two Sundays ago I took uh a group of our

[41:29] young firefighters from New Haven to the California University burn building

[41:33] where we did uh interior structural firefighting. That was an eight hour day

[41:39] and uh went well

[41:45] » and then of course the tube float. >> How's the mine situation?

[41:53] Uh they are supposed to be there on the 26th.

[41:58] The uh repairs that the mine Bure Mines did that night seemed to be working.

[42:05] They actually let the resident back in. They've been doing

[42:11] uh air sampling and air quality and everything is good. But they're still

[42:16] coming in the 26 with their engineers. They're going to meet with the building

[42:21] owners and they're going to establish some sort of mitigation plan to try to

[42:27] fix this. >> So, why do you think the air was so bad

[42:30] that one particular week and just >> they uh what they did was they sealed

[42:36] off the drains, >> the floor drains.

[42:41] So somehow that carbon dioxide which attacks oxygen and that's why they were

[42:47] getting low readings of oxygen in the building.
