[12:49] Martin. It is approved. 13 on the agenda is the
[12:54] open forum. Members of the public have three minutes to
[12:59] ask general questions and are not to enter into debate.
[13:02] Please state your name and address for the records. Each
[13:07] member may speak once. Have we anybody who would like
[13:11] to comment or speak. Please come forward.
[13:24] Jacky Greenon, telephone road. Um, I've been speaking to people
[13:28] along Hurley. They've been complaining about the speed limit along
[13:33] there. And up until about five years ago, when they
[13:37] redid the road, uh, there was always a speed limit
[13:40] sign that was the 60. Um, so they were looking
[13:42] to have the 60 put back on. But when this
[13:45] certain person called the township, they were told that it
[13:49] was never a 60. And it's an 80. Now, I
[13:53] personally remember a 60 sign being up there. So I'm
[13:57] asking for them. What is there a bylaw that needs
[14:03] to be passed? Or was there not a by -
[14:05] law - law passed? Or the reason why they were
[14:08] told it's not a 60, it's an 80, because they
[14:11] were under the assumption that it's a 60. Thank you,
[14:17] and have they contacted. Have they contacted the Township office.
[14:22] Yeah, they spoke to the by - law officer, and
[14:25] he was the one that told them that it was
[14:26] never 60. It's always been an 80. Okay. So the
[14:32] name is on, we have the contact information, and we
[14:35] can follow up. Directly with the person, and we can
[14:38] check that. We can check that. Thank you. Council -
[14:47] Van Aigman. - A lot of those houses are quite
[14:50] new along there. Um, if that was a road without
[14:53] houses on it, it would have definitely been an 80.
[14:56] And so if the houses were put on, a 60
[15:00] went down, then probably it could have been a 60,
[15:03] but Rodgers doesn't say nothing until he's for sure. And
[15:07] so I would say it's an 80, and if they
[15:09] need it reduced, they should bring it back and have
[15:12] a petition or something like Purni wrote it. I personally
[15:19] remember it being a 60, because when I was looking
[15:21] at having the B - limit changed on telephone road,
[15:24] which has been about 10 years now, I drove around
[15:28] looking at the speed limit signs around, and I distinctly
[15:32] remember it being 60 along there. So I don't know
[15:35] what happened. She said, after the road was resurfaced, the
[15:40] sign disappeared, and it was never put back up. So.
[15:43] I remember it being a 60. And they remember it
[15:45] being a 60, and they've been there for 13 years.
[15:50] So, um, yeah. We can check it, we can get
[15:55] to it. Thank you. Any further comments or questions this
[15:59] evening. Anybody online. Seeing none, I would remind everybody of
[16:06] a touch the truck. Big event here on Saturday. It's
[16:11] a big whoop. Um, and I think it's going to
[16:15] be bigger and better than usual. Uh, this year, especially
[16:19] the weather is promising to be good. Um, so I
[16:23] do encourage everyone to come out and participate. It's great
[16:27] fun. If only just to watch everybody, watch the little
[16:31] kids. And also the 80 - year - old little
[16:34] kids. Yes, Councillor Hamilton. Thank you, Madam Mayor, through you
[16:42] too, specifically to our staff. Um, the United Way hosted
[16:46] an event this morning that brought together key thought leaders
[16:52] in the housing space, housing solution space. And I thought
[16:56] it was a really good event, but I think the
[16:58] best part of that event for me was seeing three
[17:02] of our staff members investing their time into being there
[17:06] to learn. And I just wanted to say out loud
[17:09] in public how much I appreciate that. I think that
[17:12] your investment in that is a benefit to our community.
[17:16] So I want to say a special thank you to
[17:18] Nathan Proctor, Matt. I've got your name wrong. I keep
[17:24] calling you Matt Walsh. I know you're matte coffee, and
[17:28] I also want to thank RCIO Holy Grant for being
[17:31] there, because I think this is important for the future.
[17:33] I'm looking forward to that report that comes out of
[17:36] that. So thank you very much. Any further comments. As
[17:44] we wind down summer. Last hurrah. Okay, we move on.
[17:52] We don't have a closed meeting, right? No. There's no
[17:55] closed meeting. So we're going to have a confirming bylaw,
[17:59] Bylaug 2026 - 37. Be it resolved that Council approve
[18:04] this by - law being a bylaw to confirm the
[18:06] proceedings of the corporation of the Township of Kremi Special
[18:09] Counsel meeting. Held on August 25th, 2026. Be read a
[18:13] first, second, and third time finally passed. Signed by the
[18:17] mayor and the clerk, sealed and entered into the By
[18:20] - - book. Could I even move her into senator,
[18:23] please? Moved, Arthur. - Second Hamilton. All in favor. Hi,
[18:31] Arthur. I Hamilton. Ice Cryver. Bene. Martin, aye. It is
[18:39] approved. Motion to adjourn. Second scriver. All in favor.
[18:49] Hi, Arthur. I Hamilton. I scrive her. Ben Igmundi.
[19:03] Martin, aye.
