[1:54] scaffolding to come. Um last week uh they taped the windows and stuff and and

[1:59] everything and got it ready to sand blast. There were two guys here last

[2:02] week. A third person showed up today. Um and they're going to work every day.

[2:07] It's not raining. So um I think they worked Friday, Saturday, or Saturday,

[2:36] by the theater they got that most of that swept. Um I think they're going to

[2:40] finish that up tomorrow and then they'll paint the stripes there and then they've

[2:43] got some seal coating left including um half of the parking lot west of city

[2:48] hall here. And once they get done with that, then

[2:51] they'll be done chip sealing for the year.

[2:54] Uh sewer departments um getting ready. We're going to have to haul some sludge

[2:59] out again. We do every fall. Um right now they're at near capacity with the

[3:04] the sludge tank. And once and the crops are starting to go out. A lot of people

[3:08] are chopping and stuff. So once the crops are out, um they've got the the

[3:12] gentleman ready to start hauling that out and um um get that emptied up.

[4:12] medical calls we had 28. Information miscellaneous calls up almost 50.

[4:18] Um here on traffic stops also we had uh 64 uh more uh to add on. We're at 627

[4:26] for the year for that. Um and yeah, some calls kind of a busy month for August.

[4:33] So um I spoke to officer Kitchen. Um he's

[4:38] doing great in the academy on week two. seems to be enjoying it. Um I'm hoping

[4:43] he's representing us all good down there and uh seems to be having a lot of fun

[4:47] down there and enjoying and learning a lot. Um another thing that I also have

[4:53] is we got approved for our um GTSP program, which is the Governor's Traffic

[4:59] Safety Bureau. this uh for goals for 27 is we got approved for $6,500 for uh

[5:08] approved hours for OWI enforcement and 6,500 in general enforcement.

[5:15] And then equipment we got approved for 4,800

[5:19] uh dollars for two new incar cameras uh or excuse me, two incar radars and then

[5:26] two new PVTs. So, the way the 6500 works is um those

[5:33] are based on hourly rates and we can get up to $6,500 worth of extra wages. Um

[5:40] and how that works is we have to do that strictly on our off time and not while

[5:45] we are actively on uh our normal shifts. So, we have to come in during our off

[5:51] days or personal time to conduct these um uh these different projects and

[5:58] whatnot. Uh I know Officer Rush right now, he's the one that kind of

[6:03] kickstarted this back up for us again. Um he's got a few um

[6:10] uh end of semester project for we're going to try to enforce uh over near the

[6:16] school area where we're going to have cell phones, speed, and seat belts is

[6:20] what we're going to enforce mostly. Um and then for a few holiday events, we're

[6:25] going to try to do more of the OWI um enforcement during those times.
