[5:27] reinstalled with a new motor and pump i am asking uh council to

[5:33] waive bids and award the con contract to lane western for not to exceed amount of

[5:37] forty two thousand four hundred twenty four dollars uh to pull

[5:42] order new and replace a the oil pump and motor as long as all the pipe going down

[6:33] public work directly have up to twenty thousand dollars emergency cut didn't

[6:45] emergency we had right to spend twenty thousand dollars approval

[9:53] they did not submit a proposal this year um hawthorne

[9:57] is another local company and we did use hawthorne

[10:01] for several several years in the past

[10:04] and we've had no issues with them in fact our

[10:07] staff said rapid and hawthorne both did an excellent job so before you is

[10:11] accepting a proposal from hawthorne landscaping you can see the pricing

[10:15] below uh regarding um

[10:19] different types of lengths of grass 90 130 or 170.

[10:24] and the bulk of this is uh passed on to the is this for the homeowner ones one

[10:29] yeah these are for the ones or foreclosed homes or for

[10:32] nuisances that we can't get corrected immediately

[10:36] we do go after them either through uh

[10:40] sending a bill we sent to the bank on a foreclosed home whatever the situation

[10:44] is is this a one-year contract it's a one-year contract is that

[10:47] does it have to be only one year um it doesn't have to be but we've done it's

[10:52] just just the way it's been done we can certainly try to negotiate a longer term

[10:55] absolutely i mean it would seem like a lot less to have to

[11:00] go through every year right you're gonna what what i would suggest just because

[11:04] we have to come back and re-amend the uh this this contract um what i would

[11:08] suggest is next year when we do it let's look at one in a three-year right yeah

[12:02] is a ordinance approving our 2000 adopting our 2000 the 2015 building code

[12:11] just just one or two small changes not really changes but just kind of an

[12:14] update for the council there is a link online

[12:17] so any type of resident and or

[12:21] contractor can jump online and go right to the link and we will also have a copy

[12:25] available at the building department the book is about that thick though so um

[12:30] but we will let them come in and send down in one of the rooms they

[12:33] can look at if they choose typically what we do is there's a question on a

[12:37] specific item we'll make copies of those three or

[12:40] four pages and hand it to the homeowner or resident or

[12:44] contractor if they had just a specific question on a

[12:48] code or or whatever regarding building but before you is the consider the

[12:54] passage of the 2015 building code adoption

[13:30] is to get the 2021 passed before you or at least before you

[13:36] for consideration within the next six months we want to really go through that

[13:43] from the last code that we've had to now there's

[13:46] not quite that many changes so we want to go through those changes from the 15

[13:50] to the 22 and look at exceptions uh that we don't like for example we

[13:55] talked about last year you know last meeting at the workshop is

[13:59] in some of these codes they have sprinklers for entire new houses

[14:03] which which is prohibited from an economic development perspective so so

[14:06] things like that we want to go through all the different codes and make sure we

[14:09] have the exceptions uh post they're listed and so you're

[14:12] aware of the different exceptions thank you i

[14:15] just personally i want to be um

[14:19] cognitive that we're not going to drop the ball on this i mean

[14:23] you know this is probably something that should have been addressed a long time

[14:26] ago to be on 2015 so six months i'm going to be waiting for

[15:34] in the calendar year of 2021 which resulted in maps amendments and those

[15:38] are special uses which are reflected by a star on our map as well as then some

[15:42] rezonings that which is simply just to change from the zoning classifications

[15:46] that were previously approved by ordinance this does not reflect anything

[15:50] occurred within the last couple months um those would be run reflected on the

[15:54] next one now those are a little small i've already talked about getting larger

[17:15] certain businesses when they open and get good publicity

[17:18] and let the residents and the development community know that we're

[17:21] active and we are adding businesses to the city of cresthill and are you

[17:24] coordinating with the president of the chamber that's on my list to contact um

[17:29] to see if they're willing to help out

[17:31] absolutely i know i'm sure he will okay perfect

[17:35] is stepheny update on the goofy jeeves i see some

[17:38] uh movement over there with the house coming down

[17:41] yeah so so yes a demo permit was issued so that's the house is coming down they

[17:46] did receive their building permits so they are

[18:48] be our 31st officer replacing a retired officer that we had last year so

[20:40] departments from the surrounding communities were unbelievable

[20:52] to every one of the mayors from joliet

[20:56] from lockport from romeoville from rockdale from

[21:01] shorewood from shanahan from naperville

[21:05] from plainfield

[21:08] i spoke with each one of the mayors from those communities

[21:15] letting them know my gratitude for their help and assistance on a very difficult

[21:19] situation also reached out to the will county sheriff's department

[21:24] grundy county sheriff's department and the illinois state police

[21:29] also to the lockport fire department with um

[21:32] fire chief connor for all of his assistance that

[21:37] the men of the lockport township fire department gave to us on that evening

[21:43] want to extend our gratitude to them also

[21:47] so my final comment would be that i am

[21:50] going to ask for every resident in the city of

[21:54] cresthill to

[21:56] certainly keep in your prayers for a quick recovery for our injured

[22:01] police officer it's a very dangerous job that the

[22:05] police officers do today so keep him in your prayers for a very

[22:10] quick recovery and a return to work with that i again extend my gratitude to

[22:17] every one of the departments that assisted us

[22:20] everyone handled themselves in a very professional manner

[22:24] including the officers of the crest hill police department handled themselves in

[22:28] a very professional manner during a very difficult time

[29:25] everything will be done in in interior to the building uh that it would be the

[29:30] anyone interested in a vehicle would see it online contact the applicant and then

[29:35] everything would be done by appointment this was a point of discussion as if

[29:39] you've been out to tomorrow's court there's a lot not a lot of parking for

[29:42] the patrons as well as then for vehicles to be stored there so that centered a

[29:46] lot of the discussion that we had at the planned commission meeting that was

[29:49] period both february 9th and then was also continued to march 9. a lot of

[29:53] discussion the plan commission did outline conditions to ensure

[29:58] those were identifying as customer parking only operations must be

[30:02] conducted within the building no outdoor display of vehicles or any

[30:06] product of material for sale no outdoor storage of vehicles products or

[30:11] materials no display of any temporary signs and so forth that which we would

[30:15] see at a traditional auto auto slot and then hours of operation

[30:19] was discussion at the plan commission at that time and

[30:22] working with the applicant hours of operation limited to 9 00 a.m to 9 p.m

[30:26] monday through friday and 9 a.m to 5 p.m on saturday a lot that's centered around

[30:30] with the discussion of test drives and so forth and that so

[30:35] with this um we are looking for a special use for

[30:38] automobile and vehicle sales as the applicant has indicated that there may

[30:41] be some automobiles there may be some vehicles some trucks um as well as

[30:45] potential the occasional semi as well as on other recreational vehicles but again

[30:50] all of that would be required based on the conditions outlined and proposed by

[30:54] the plan commission to be all within the building and

[30:58] nothing outside the building as well so there is an ordinance

[31:02] before you this evening all of the conditions that were just discussed are

[31:06] outlined as as attached to section three of this ordinance

[31:45] that and i've got i've learned a lot about auto sales in the state of

[31:48] illinois than anything that triggers once you sell five vehicles you must

[31:51] have a dealer's license and so to go to an auction and buy more than five

[31:55] vehicles in a calendar you need to have such license which triggers the state to

[32:01] look for compliance here which then says that we have the special

[32:04] use in line so there are outside of the regulations that we placed here there

[32:08] are still state regulations like no sales a vehicle on sunday

[32:13] if the car's paid for and everything he can't give it to him that day that i

[32:16] would have the applicant speak to it but the hours of operation are monday

[32:19] through friday and saturday so he has not had indicated any hours of operation

[32:23] on sunday okay okay whatever

[32:26] yeah i know you can't sell a car on sunday anyway

[32:29] it's been around too long yes it is more was there any uh stipulation on how

[32:35] many vehicles up to up to no there was not only

[32:39] because it we we felt that it was indoors and that there was nothing that

[32:42] he that could that would that was the restricting

[32:45] factor um mr sanchez that um would be able to speak

[32:50] more to that uh he was restricting that possibly

[32:53] what was it like five five about five only because since they are indoors that

[32:58] there's also state requirements to be able to move around the move around the

[33:02] vehicles as well while in there he was noting at the public hearing that

[33:06] there's strict inspections that will be done through

[33:09] the state that that restrict that as well so a five is about all you could

[33:13] comfortably fit here okay hang on hang on hang on ask the

[33:26] there was discussion i believe at the plant commission about do we restrict

[33:29] that number but being inside and knowing that that's why we were very

[35:33] jam pack everything in there and have no walking or movement of it

[35:37] um but like i said maybe one day go to an auction and there's a great deal on a

[35:41] semi um the the just the tractor that could

[35:46] limit that'll take up two spots so until that vehicle is brought in and

[35:51] sold that might limit it down to three vehicles inside the shop you know or

[35:56] um say i pick up three motorcycles that that takes up one parking spot you know

[36:02] so there's not an exact number on it but we are limited to what we could have

[36:06] inside or you could get six clown cars yeah

[36:10] yeah it'd be great if they came with the clowns too
