[20:42] » six eyes and one absent a very lengthy consent agenda has been
[20:46] approved takes us to new business there being
[20:50] none takes to questions and comments and announcements of a general nature anyone
[20:54] have anything for if they have if not I I'd like to mention that this
[21:00] coming Friday we will be holding our first uh Dancing with the Chamber of
[21:06] Stars program at the Ashton Place. To date, we
[21:09] have 270 people signed up to attend. Autumn Lagansky is going to go back for
[21:15] another rehearsal because he's concerned that that large number of people may
[21:19] notice something wrong in his footsteps. >> I'm scared.
[21:22] » It's uh we're going to have a really fun evening. We're going to have uh a split
[21:27] the pot. We're going to have a Chinese raffle. We have about 15 to 20 prizes
[21:32] that will be given out in the raffle. Um we will have um the proceeds from this
[21:38] will go to Cancer Smashers and uh after we cover our costs with 270 people, we
[21:47] will be able to give Cancer Smashers u a nice check that evening. Well, probably
[21:53] that evening. Um, we will have 10 of our Darian uh residents, members of
[21:59] organizations which represent this city, including Alderman Leagansky and his
[22:04] wife Julie, who will represent Our Lady of Mount Carmel, who will be dancing
[22:08] that evening. It'll be run according to a traditional Dancing with the Stars
[22:13] setup. Yours truly will be the MC. We have three judges. Uh, my dance hub in
[22:18] Oakrook has been working to train these people, work with these people. Some of
[22:23] them have gone for some extra lessons and found out they enjoy dancing. Uh,
[22:28] and there's a group of us called the the alumni group that have done this before
[22:33] and we're going to be dancing that night. We have a we have a routine that
[22:37] we'll be doing as the first act. But again, this is for a good cause. Uh,
[22:42] there is a um there will be a piece of paper on the table which will have a
[22:47] picture of each contestant and there'll be a QR code next to that picture. So
[22:52] some you can go on a QR code and they could donate and I believe we're also
[22:56] going to put something out this week for people who want to donate. In terms of a
[22:59] QR code, it's plans to be a fun evening. Uh we were pushing for 300. Uh the
[23:06] highest we've ever had before is 184 people. So 270 people. It makes for a
[23:11] real I'm very pleased. I need to say I'm very pleased that people are choosing to
[23:17] be with us that night and not watching the opening ceremonies from Cortina
[23:22] Malot. Um, tickets are available till midnight
[23:26] tonight. If you haven't bought a ticket, please buy a ticket. You get a beautiful
[23:31] dinner in 4 hours. Open bar. And that's all I have. Mary,
[23:36] » I'm excited to hear that there's I sadly I will be out of town uh visiting my
[23:41] mother-in-law, but um I think the the ability for people who can't be there to
[23:47] enjoy the spectacle and the the magnificent uh Jerry Leansky dancing. Um
[23:52] but I think it'll be extremely entertaining. um is that there's an
[23:57] ability for people to to still make a donation um to their dancers or you know
[24:02] in essence it's all going to Cancer Smashers which is such a phenomenal
[24:06] charity it is >> um homegrown here in the city of Darian.
[24:09] Now I considering the amount of enthusiasm we've had shown to us with
[24:14] people the amount of tickets we've sold. >> I was amazed cuz like you said a couple
[24:18] weeks ago it was like I thought we were like we were like hurting and then once
[24:23] a lot of people started coming through and it's a great number. Yeah. To have
[24:26] 300 people is a great turnout. >> I see it something we we will probably
[24:30] try to have every year and maybe maybe one of these days maybe maybe one of
[24:35] these days all the men shower will dance in the dancing with the stars.
[24:41] your brand >> or Mr. Vanna.
[24:44] » I'll be with Ted. We will not be out there.
