[0:00] The June 8s, town board meeting minutes.
[0:07] Okay. All in favor? Aye. Opposed? Motion carried. Next
[0:15] on the agenda is early privilege of the floor. Mr. Hall, a grant writer that's done work for us,
[0:21] contacted me and could not make it, so there'll be no early privilege of the floor.
[0:27] We can go right into new business,
[0:35] there are with new people.
[0:43] Okay, first resolution is Resolution 38, 2026.
[0:50] It's large data facilities, 12 month moratorium.
[0:56] We had public hearing in 650, Mr. Fusco had some comments over the net, the public had none.
[1:03] So the moratorium is attached with somebody like to entertain a motion for the 12 months moratorium
[1:14] all in favor?
[1:19] Opposed? Motion hearing.
[1:21] Next is resolution 39, 2026.
[1:25] It's the schedule of public hearing for local law number five.
[1:30] The 2026 rules and regulations of the gear field town parks, this would be updated from, I believe, 2004.
[1:42] So during the month, Bill will review the proposed changes and will have a public hearing next month and consider it for approval.
[1:52] Okay, would somebody like to make a motion on resolution 39, 1026?
[2:02] All in favor?
[2:03] Aye.
[2:04] Opposed?
[2:05] Motion carried.
[2:07] Next is resolution 40-2026,
[2:12] excuse me.
[2:15] It's for the ice barrier over the air conditioning condensing unit behind the seniors room.
[2:23] The previous one was destroyed by falling ice.
[2:27] There's been a new one installed, and
[2:31] Sam and Mr. Rivera from the home services,
[2:35] the guy that did the sighting work for us,
[2:39] we got together and proposed
[2:44] to build a six foot wide,
[2:46] six foot out from underneath the eve,
[2:50] way up by the roof on a 45 degree angle,
[2:53] so the snow and ice can slide off safely and not hit anything.
[2:59] And the next page is the material list.
[3:03] It's all treated lumber and instead of burying the 4x4s, they make deck blocks with a sleeve
[3:11] in them.
[3:12] The 4x4 sits in for stability and saying why not us to do that.
[3:18] So if it had to be moved at any time, it could be.
[3:21] So, it's all treated lumber should last a long, long time.
[3:25] The total cost, materials and labor, $960 and 42 cents.
[3:32] It'll have a metal roof on top of the treated lumber.
[3:35] That's no charge because we had a bunch left over from yesterday, and Sam's going to cut
[3:40] the six by six section we need.
[3:44] So that'll be a thing that needs to get done before the fall.
[3:47] So, if anybody's got any questions, go ahead if not, could I get a motion?
[3:55] I'll say it.
[3:56] All in favor?
[3:57] Aye.
[3:59] Thank you all.
[4:00] Motion carried.
[4:02] Okay.
[4:03] So we'll get that done and then the sighting part is 99% done.
[4:12] I couldn't find the rate catch anywhere.
[4:14] I found it in a metal wolf place on Stubens Street that I never knew was there.
[4:18] I got it Saturday morning.
[4:19] So Mr. Verre, I'll come back and make a couple repairs in the temporary railings.
[4:26] We put a new railing on the second one in from the seniors, but the inside ones were the
[4:33] ice falls.
[4:34] I got the wrong screws, so they're all ready to go in and we can take them out in the fall,
[4:41] so nothing gets damaged.
[4:44] and then Sam needs some pain done down at the highway garage and Dan I think will be involved in some insulation work,
[4:53] at least over the rooms on the north side of the building and that will follow so we'll try to space it out by the month,
[5:01] get everything done before it smells.
[5:05] Okay, thank you.
[5:06] Next is resolution 40.
[5:08] We have to hold on.
[5:10] Oh, what's the name of it?
[5:11] Oh, we did, I'm sorry.
[5:15] Should I?
[5:15] I'm a patient, I'm sorry.
[5:17] Scott Mahard, you can't.
[5:19] I can hear you.
[5:19] Scott Mahard, you said I'm sorry.
[5:21] Okay, next is resolution 41, 2026.
[5:26] It's the highway department, 20-ton trailer.
[5:30] Sam went out and got quotes.
[5:32] If you follow that resolution,
[5:34] There's three competitive bids for a 20-ton trailer with they, I believe, the ramps are
[5:42] hydraulics, so nobody hurts their band picking them up and down.
[5:46] And the low quote with a trade-in, the trailer is trading in, he got the same price for us,
[5:53] it was brand new in 2004.
[5:55] Isn't that amazing?
[5:56] Talk about inflation.
[5:58] So the low quote was Tracy Rowan Equipment with the trade-in of an interstate 24 DTA trailer.
[6:14] It cost the town $29,896 and 93 cents actually would have been 12,000 more than that.
[6:22] and like I said Tracy was low quote he got three quotes and the big difference the quotes were
[6:29] similar but the trade in from Tracy was enormous compared to the competitors and we got to do
[6:36] what we got to do to save all the accounts. If nobody has any questions I'd like to entertain
[6:42] emotion and resolution for this question. Is there anything that the tones that cannot be
[6:50] trailer. Now, what's that trailer? Are you able to check everything? I'm older.
[6:57] I have to be older. Hold on.
[7:00] How do you transport them? If we drive them, or I have a county moving with their
[7:07] little boy, or a white son moving with their little boy? I'll set. Okay. So with
[7:16] So something like 10 or 10 emotion on Resolution 41, 2026.
[7:20] Oh, I said it.
[7:23] Paul in favor.
[7:25] Aye.
[7:27] I'm opposed.
[7:28] Motion carried.
[7:30] OK.
[7:30] I'm going to keep.
[7:32] Sorry.
[7:33] Next is Resolution 42, 2026.
[7:37] Youth program appointments.
[7:39] Caron will report and her report on the unbelievable outpouring
[7:44] of children in the youth program this year. But anyway, be it resolved at the town board
[7:50] of the Town of Dereford, the state by approved the appointments of Erica, Alice, and Dreamy,
[7:55] as youth leader to replace Jody Cardinal who resigned before the program started due to personal
[8:02] reasons, and to appoint Brina Lamberti. Brina Lamberti. Brina Lamberti.
[8:10] due to the large number of youth attending for added supervision.
[8:16] So like I said, carol report, but like to have someone entertain a motion or have comment
[8:23] on resolution 42, 2026.
[8:27] Motion.
[8:29] Second.
[8:30] Paul in favor?
[8:32] Aye.
[8:32] Opposed?
[8:34] Motion hearing.
[8:36] Okay.
[8:37] So, let's see.
[8:39] I don't usually sit here, people. I'm just filling in. Let me figure this out. I even studied.
[8:49] Okay, now we're going to official reports. We'll start on our left tonight, Mr. Fusco.
[9:01] Just to report, I got the notice from a resident
[9:07] on Marlin Road regarding the name of who is composting.
[9:13] Now it's an interesting thing.
[9:14] This was forwarded to the Code's Jim Maxwell,
[9:18] but it's interesting because composting has encouraged,
[9:21] but in this case, it's attracting rodents and scumps
[9:24] and it's becoming useless.
[9:26] I just looked at Jim's report and I don't see
[9:29] that he reported anything on that yet.
[9:31] So I will follow up on tomorrow.
[9:33] Okay.
[9:33] But it's an interesting thing.
[9:35] I don't know if that's maybe
[9:36] somebody who would look at that as an ordinance.
[9:39] You know, what happens when California is no longer
[9:43] a good thing, it's an excuse to follow the rules.
[9:46] I thought that was interesting.
[9:48] I followed this up with Jim.
[9:53] Phil, I believe you were involved on the vacant
[9:56] the property on State Route 8 that were swires attempted to fly.
[10:01] Yes, with Mr. Booth.
[10:03] Yes.
[10:03] Yes.
[10:04] He's been keeping it price of that too.
[10:08] The land owner has agreed to clean up what nothing has commenced thus far.
[10:14] Do you know anything about that?
[10:16] I talked to Mr. Maxwell.
[10:18] He said they started to clean up in Moll and I talked to Mr. Booth and he also said that
[10:25] they were making progress, but that's been a couple of weeks.
[10:28] Yeah, I talked to it.
[10:29] So I don't think then that Jim gave them an order to remedy.
[10:34] That would be the next step if they didn't voluntarily
[10:37] start to clean off.
[10:38] We have what they call order to remedies.
[10:41] And if you don't follow them, then eventually
[10:43] you end up to our left in the courtroom,
[10:45] which has a big crowd tonight.
[10:48] OK, I'll follow up with you.
[10:49] Yeah, he might be able to tell you more.
[10:51] The grass clipping was done by the squatter who claimed to have blocked property back taxes.
[10:58] It was totally fabrication.
[11:01] The garbage and everything is still there.
[11:03] He'll have to give an order to remedy.
[11:08] Mr. Booth was very nice about it.
[11:10] I mean, he's friends with the owners.
[11:12] He's been very patient.
[11:13] Oh absolutely.
[11:15] He's suffered with nuisance for years now.
[11:18] You know, so it's good that we move someone forward
[11:22] but we'll continue on that one.
[11:25] Once again, all these things are very good at exercise
[11:28] and are available to, you know,
[11:31] forced co-ordinates, and so my follow-up is key.
[11:35] Okay, so I asked Mr. Schmidt
[11:40] about their field code of ethics
[11:42] and his response was, you might have read your research.
[11:46] I don't want to take anything out of the government.
[11:50] I always nervous when I said so and so said those as such that I'm not aware of any code
[12:00] of ethics, formally adopted by the type of board.
[12:04] So I asked Ms. Karen and she came up with a code of ethics that based back to 1971.
[12:10] Now code of ethics are, I don't know if the word
[12:16] remaining so if it's too strong, but it's required by the Article 18 of Municipal Law, Section
[12:23] 866 and 888.
[12:26] So I think we would rehoove the town if we review the existing code of ethics compared
[12:35] to state models that they provide.
[12:39] And I'll be happy to do that.
[12:40] I just got our copy a couple hours ago.
[12:43] So between now and next month, I will, I will compare this to, um, to the state
[12:50] miles, Mr. Schmidt, the cabinet, the debt he, uh, and, uh, the white cell they, he went to
[12:57] the college and said, well, can we just adopt yours and, you know, ours, they, they don't even
[13:03] have one.
[13:04] So-
[13:04] The company does have a quote about that.
[13:06] They don't have a board about that.
[13:08] A board about that.
[13:09] Yes.
[13:10] They do have a formulation support.
[13:11] because it's all very similar between ours and theirs.
[13:14] It's mostly geared towards not accepting money.
[13:19] That's the main thing with our isn't actually.
[13:22] So yeah, we can discuss it.
[13:24] But let me finish with my important thing.
[13:27] So I will compare this apples wrap as well as the state
[13:31] models and it is something that then we can discuss and see
[13:38] what we need to do to get care of it.
[13:40] a very good point today that 1971, I don't think we had the internet, I think it was called
[13:46] IntraNet.
[13:47] Some of these people weren't even born yet, so it's always a bit suspicious, but we're
[13:55] concerned.
[14:00] Something we should certainly look at and I will approach there on that.
[14:06] Could I make a recommendation?
[14:08] Yes.
[14:09] Maybe you'd like to contact some of the budding talents to see how current there's are or if it's something that they have a share of.
[14:16] I mean that might save you a lot of light work instead of going to the state.
[14:19] The state has miles.
[14:22] Oh okay.
[14:22] It's pretty easy.
[14:23] You just print off the PDF and just go out and I don't know.
[14:25] A few more miles are up to date to 2026.
[14:29] Okay.
[14:29] So, but I think the town manager, and you could also, and in them, I think you could add to it, there's like decorum and public meetings and so on and so forth.
[14:40] So we could really, I think, have a kind of conduct greatly.
[14:43] And that is a big chore of a court of conduct.
[14:46] Yeah, I made my comments on the data centers and like I said, I just had a wonderful opportunity out of state where I was doing business to communicate with the town.
[14:59] I'm just going to...
[15:00] A big 600 acre data center, and the way they're doing it is so intelligent, so good, it blows the narrative, the data centers require a lot of water, you require a lot of electricity, because they're forcing this company to produce their own electricity, which then they have to produce transmission lines within in terms of lower utility rates, because utility ratepayers don't have to build out for the transmission lines. So it's just, when done right, it's just fantastic. And also they're cool with water,
[15:29] So there's a false narrative I perceive it as that all you have is a special environment, so let's look at it
[15:36] So we have a year, it was about a year, let's look at that in the term of an executive because they have increased their tax base by 45 million dollars
[15:44] Now I don't think we have the land for these anyway, but my point is once again, let's look at
[15:51] that, uh, raining ordinance to deal with this because without that first, there's nothing
[15:56] we can't do.
[15:57] We can't do that.
[15:57] So we have a year now to do that.
[15:59] I'm hired to suggest we can do that.
[16:01] Whatever the message, whether it's through committee or what, um, I got a message, I don't
[16:07] know if anybody else did that on the speed limit on the oil road, carrying a new belt.
[16:11] I know.
[16:11] I know yours goes reduced.
[16:13] You know anything about that?
[16:14] First I heard it.
[16:15] All right.
[16:16] Now, I'll look deeper into that.
[16:18] I had enough to work an email, but I don't have it.
[16:21] I think Dan, if it's not posted, it's 55.
[16:24] I should have posted it to 35.
[16:26] Oh, OK.
[16:28] So that was changed years ago, right?
[16:31] It went from 55 to 35.
[16:34] I'm doing a little bit of that.
[16:35] Yeah, I don't find a time where I think we did
[16:36] aiding work down there, which was a number of years ago.
[16:39] We posted all their signs.
[16:41] Some are getting paid to leave your place now.
[16:43] I mean, that's all marked in 35 miles an hour.
[16:45] Okay, great. So I think maybe the inquiry was enforcing
[16:52] So maybe before we call the sheriffs and we could look at the signs and maybe just make it clear. Okay. All right. Good. Yeah, that points. They wanted a
[17:02] Walk the road ditch right on the van near Smith Hill Road
[17:06] I've been talking to Dave Buck for a couple years and they just did a beautiful job. You see that so those houses
[17:15] and his basement and his neighborhood and his blood.
[17:17] So that was clean, cleared out, and really good.
[17:19] I haven't been diagnosed with rain because it hasn't rained.
[17:22] But I was really having to see that I sent me,
[17:24] but I thank you.
[17:26] Yeah, it looks good.
[17:27] And he replied back.
[17:28] The only thing they didn't do was when I met with the culvert.
[17:32] The culvert, you know.
[17:33] We're going to work on that one, too.
[17:35] That was supposed to be part of it.
[17:36] Yeah, I think they just didn't get to it,
[17:38] but yeah, thanks for bringing that.
[17:40] So now it's going to move more water
[17:42] than you have to do with the culvert, so.
[17:44] All right, so that's good, um,
[17:50] uh, Mr. Acedo Senate letter. I think we're all
[17:54] always see it everywhere in parks and maintenance. Um, and I think it's mostly to the
[18:00] wilderness park, but I had brought up a wild on the breezy park from Santa
[18:04] Reg, breezy. So, um, where are we out of that? I mean, have we, it's in there, repair it.
[18:13] I mean, to the point of view, I'm not part of it.
[18:16] I'm not part of it, but here's a look at it.
[18:20] You said, I didn't look at it.
[18:22] So where are we at?
[18:24] I can't find it.
[18:25] Our parks community, I don't know, I don't know.
[18:28] So I don't really know.
[18:30] And I have to come to the board.
[18:31] I can come to the board.
[18:32] The board's got to tell me what they want to do.
[18:36] OK, so what's the steps we're going to take to do that?
[18:38] I think identify the things that need to be attempted to if we can do it in
[18:45] house talk to Sam and you know these are maintenance guy if we can't do it in
[18:51] house we're kind of out on a limb. So we need to engage parts in the
[18:56] first game. Yes. Yeah it should start there and then he's got a report to the board
[19:01] and then the board's got to come and say well we kind of do this or this or
[19:06] I mean, some of the pointings and things down there,
[19:09] that playground equipment could be re-repaired or...
[19:12] It's the light I put in my estimation
[19:13] as a necessary place for the dangerous.
[19:15] That was my private time,
[19:17] you know, I would put multiple times
[19:18] of the post-ense act on its dangerous.
[19:20] So anyway, okay.
[19:21] I will engage the parks committee on that
[19:23] and get to make a recommendation to the board.
[19:26] Just want to keep that in mind.
[19:28] Unless, you know, one other thing we've got,
[19:31] I talked to Mr. Rivera
[19:33] regarding the work he's doing.
[19:35] I asked him about the, one of the big issues
[19:38] according to our code is, part of the installation,
[19:42] is the code is, it has to be R49.
[19:44] So the big question is, are we R49?
[19:48] And I don't think we are, I know some are as we are not.
[19:51] So when we go forward with this,
[19:53] how do we bring it to R49?
[19:55] And we have proposals of removing everything
[19:57] in there, starting to fresh, patching, whatever.
[20:00] So that's something we need to do.
[20:01] have you discussed it with Mike? I talked to him the other day and I said, have you looked
[20:07] up there? He was no, I haven't looked up. Right, like I said, we were trying to divide it
[20:10] out. When the time comes, I think the right approach would be to measure what's there, convert
[20:16] it to whatever art is, and add to make our 49.
[20:20] You cover the areas that have been displaced. Yeah, so he knows about it then and we'll keep
[20:27] He put you in the loop.
[20:30] And like I said, there was four things we want to try to get them done but we'll let you know.
[20:36] So that's the thing.
[20:38] He's aware.
[20:39] Yeah.
[20:39] He knows he needs to be our type.
[20:40] So he's a skinny guy.
[20:42] He can get up there, right?
[20:42] He's going to have to do this thing.
[20:45] I'll fall three.
[20:45] He's going to have to have to cover every square inch.
[20:49] One last thing.
[20:51] And this would be a question for the website.
[20:54] I was like, how hard is it, and people have brought,
[20:57] they had to ask me about this.
[20:59] How hard is it to get email addresses
[21:04] with ton of nirfilled.gov suffix on it?
[21:08] So like, clerk, at ton of nirfilled.gov.
[21:12] It'll be so easy for people.
[21:13] And people have been asking me, how come
[21:15] do you guys don't do that?
[21:17] Because our email is through the West of all of us,
[21:19] that our email is through digital toll pass.
[21:21] So until when and if we change it to both,
[21:23] So we can't ask the web developer to do something that they're not actively doing right now, so.
[21:28] Can we ask them because it never ends?
[21:30] That's a great question.
[21:31] That's whether he wants to transfer everything.
[21:34] I mean, the first step was getting the NYG.gov website, which we've done.
[21:39] And then from there, it is whether we keep digital toll path as our email.
[21:45] But I mean, the big question was transferring it all over to Quatsimia.
[21:48] Are we going to lose archived emails?
[21:50] because there are a lot of very important emails that Karen has, that everybody has.
[21:55] So, that is up to Gregg.
[21:57] Yeah, you shouldn't, but I don't know, that's a question, so would you ask Gregg that question?
[22:05] Because I've never seen a website that didn't offer.
[22:07] They do offer it, but they're just...
[22:11] We needed quite some time at the time, because we were very strapped.
[22:14] Digital talk hadn't updated anything.
[22:16] we needed to put information on this is back during solar so we had a lot of
[22:21] information that had to get out immediately so this is why we switched to Quatsumia.
[22:27] Okay I really recommend suggesting we move this over to Quatsumia because that's not for me to decide that's a
[22:33] board decision. But I understand you're responsible for the website. I update the
[22:38] I'm responsible for the website.
[22:40] Court can grab your contact person.
[22:43] Can you please bring that, this attention,
[22:45] that's something we should take care of the real real thing?
[22:49] Okay, you can do that.
[22:50] Yes, I am able to do that.
[22:52] Yes.
[22:53] You're green.
[22:54] You're green.
[22:55] You're asking me if I can't.
[22:56] I can't.
[22:57] You didn't ask me if I would.
[22:59] Will you ask me?
[23:00] Yes, I would.
[23:02] I wouldn't give you a lot of money.
[23:04] My gosh.
[23:06] I think that's all I have.
[23:07] Okay thank you thank you I overlooked county legislative
[23:15] Dave Buck see you in attendance okay next would be councilperson
[23:22] Dave Jones already website I just wanted everybody to know that the reason
[23:29] the animal control information was an on there because there have been inquiries
[23:32] about it over the past month there have been a lot of active pieces the reason
[23:37] that information wasn't on there and it was transferred to Karen was because we had a lot
[23:42] of zap threats not too long ago so all of that information was removed. Her supervisor
[23:48] said it was request. I have asked animal control if they are okay with their information
[23:53] going back on and they are so it is on there now but during all of that craziness everything
[24:00] was to be referred to Karen and then she could refer to Animal Control. Also for an update,
[24:08] I did talk to the first committee chair at Berk since she's not here she just wanted to make
[24:13] sure that some information got out in regards to the Townwide Survey. This is for the Comprehensive
[24:22] Minister of Plan Advisory Committee updates. So the first thing that's happening is this Friday
[24:28] a flyer is going to be sent out.
[24:30] Mass Canvas is just alerting everybody
[24:32] that there's going to be a survey.
[24:35] The survey is going to be sent
[24:37] like a week or two after that.
[24:41] But there's also going to be a link in QR code
[24:43] once that, once the flyer gets sent
[24:46] and then once followed with the survey,
[24:49] I'll put the survey and QR code onto the website.
[24:52] Just so everybody knows, the QR code was done
[24:55] for no cost to the town. It is someone that helps dab with the flyers that she
[25:05] makes for the snow showing, the blingments, so this guy is able to get the QR code
[25:10] for us for free, so that's nice.
[25:16] And then
[25:19] yeah, nothing much there. And then the
[25:25] The final role for assessment is also that's on the website.
[25:28] You can find that on the home page I believe, and also on the assessor's page.
[25:34] I'm updated some of his hours on there too, and it's kind of a confirmation, but other
[25:39] than that, that is all that I have.
[25:41] Thank you.
[25:42] And just a little addition, the CMP card should be in the House's July 17th, but you were taught
[25:49] a lot.
[25:50] Yeah.
[25:51] I don't even know if you did.
[25:52] by Friday. Okay, thank you. Oh, that leaves the substitute supervisor next. Okay, that's me.
[26:04] I'm going to read my whole report. We talked about a lot of it, but I'll read it anyway.
[26:10] I had two coats, calls, both have caused me in a road. I contacted Mr. Maxwell on both cases.
[26:16] one of them will probably end up in court because it's it's multiple orders of
[26:22] a to remedy have not been followed. He's working on both of them said he'd get
[26:27] back to me. Just a little update there's no new information from 8th IRCN, the
[26:34] property owners on Horatio Street since resolution 34, 2026 was passed. The
[26:42] The county of the night I had a meeting here at the municipal building on July 1st to do a PowerPoint on Cosby Manor Road, Stormwater Drainage Study.
[26:54] The study was done by BCA Architects and Engineer. The area was covered from the intersection of Walker Road and Cosby Manor to the Skylar Townline 2.3 miles.
[27:05] They inspected 21 areas and raided them on their conditions, more to follow.
[27:11] It was well-attended by the Cosmic Manor Road residents.
[27:16] There was a lot of questions, it was a couple hours long.
[27:25] Sam was here, myself, and Gregory.
[27:27] It went pretty well.
[27:29] The only thing is, I mean, it's preliminary and we hope it happens,
[27:35] what they call a capital project.
[27:38] And the problem, I used to be on the Capital Projects Committee
[27:42] when I was a county legislator, you get like 70 million in requests and you can award like 20
[27:49] because they don't like to create more debt than they can sell off. So it's still a step
[27:56] in the right direction but it takes time and I hope it happens because it was pretty informative.
[28:03] So anyway, okay, this is the best one. The status at 108 1-0 Bell Hill has been solved.
[28:12] I hug the guy, I picked him up and shook him today, the property has been sold, it is
[28:21] in the process of closing.
[28:24] He was here tonight, Karen gave him some tax information, it will be all remediated
[28:30] and cleared and become a vacant building lot.
[28:34] Yay!
[28:35] After 14 months, process, servers, certified mail, I was even a postman in California, okay.
[28:41] But you know what, they usually don't work out that well, it worked out well, so looking
[28:48] forward to that.
[28:50] Next, the Kubota building.
[28:53] The building should be here around the middle of next month, tentatively, I check in on
[29:01] its progress, where we are on the waiting list, we're doing well, and the garage doors had
[29:10] to be ordered a month in advance, so I ordered them officially this morning, and hopefully
[29:16] it'll work out really well. Okay, and this is a little redundant, but I'll go over it.
[29:21] The sighting's been installed 144 feet. The fascia repaired.
[29:28] Thank you. Oh boy, the fascia
[29:32] repaired. The one six foot section of railing on the seniors has been replaced. The temporary
[29:37] ones will be, I got the wrong screws, and I found a drip-red Saturday, so Mr. Vary will
[29:43] be back to finish up a few things there. And then the last thing was Dan and myself talked
[29:49] about was the Rudy House with Mr. Booth, so that's been vetted. That's it for me, from
[29:57] between sneezes, charity.
[30:02] There won't be a summer newsletter this year because none of the town committees or departments
[30:11] turned in any information except for the codes at the very last minute. So our next newsletter
[30:19] will go out early September if we're lucky, but I'm one person off as I can't
[30:29] chase everybody down. I gave them a schedule and I remind them via email once, so we
[30:39] won't have them. The prices of stamps have gone up as of today I believe.
[30:46] I just
[30:48] the board gets together to talk about the budget.
[30:55] I met with Lauren Nadia, I'm not sure who knows
[31:00] but our IT guy resigned about a month and a half ago.
[31:10] And we were connected with town resident Lauren Nadia.
[31:15] and Nadia, and she was seeking us a new IT company after the resignation of Mike Long.
[31:25] She also took a great deal of information on places like Digital Topia, which we pay
[31:34] and aren't really getting our money's worth.
[31:38] She was going to seek out other companies that could do similar things that we already
[31:44] and lists at better prices. I have not heard back from her yet. I did do all the appointments
[31:54] for the youth program last month and they've all been approved by another county and so
[32:03] we're all set with that. Do you want me to do? Are you allergic to me?
[32:07] Uh-huh.
[32:08] Uh-huh.
[32:09] Uh-huh.
[32:10] You said to be honest.
[32:11] No, I can't lie.
[32:12] What's going on?
[32:13] You want me to do the youth program?
[32:15] After the meeting's over, you can do it.
[32:17] I'm glad.
[32:18] Okay.
[32:19] So, um, I'm also going to do the youth program as I'm the director as well.
[32:24] Um, Sunday.
[32:26] I'm sorry.
[32:26] Monday, July 6th started the first day of our six weeks summer park program.
[32:33] Um, word, obviously, got out.
[32:35] at what a great program we have because this year we had on our first day
[32:41] 108 children signed up. We have never had that number before. Last year we were
[32:50] averaging 70 a day. So as you can see I did need to hire two more at this
[32:58] meeting to help with that. We do have approximately, well, not counting today,
[33:06] approximately 12 non-resident families who are bringing their children in. They
[33:12] pay us a non-resident fee of $250 to help to free busing costs, supplies, arts and
[33:21] crafts and sports equipment.
[33:25] Let's see.
[33:27] Our staff is working very hard.
[33:30] They, throughout the day, keep all of these children safe
[33:34] and entertained.
[33:36] It was a good feeling this week when I went over there.
[33:44] Usually I'll go, and there'll be some kids under the pavilion
[33:48] and go do an arts and crafts or a little groups of kids.
[33:53] And there might be a kickball game going out out here.
[33:58] And then that group might move
[34:00] and then move to the basketball court and play basketball.
[34:04] When I was there on Monday,
[34:06] we had a soccer game going, basketball going,
[34:11] volleyball going, a pile of kids on the playground
[34:18] And the pavilion still was filled with children doing arts and crafts and such.
[34:24] So it, it, it, we're got out and they were getting along.
[34:29] Yes, they were, they were, they were.
[34:32] We do have a good, good group of kids.
[34:37] I do have a completed calendar of activities and I believe it is next week we're doing a
[34:45] patriotism week.
[34:46] So all our arts and crafts will be in red, white, and blue,
[34:51] geared towards the flag.
[34:54] And at the end of the week, Notre Dame's ROTC
[34:58] will be coming by, they will do a flag demonstration
[35:05] and talk to the kids about how to fold the flag,
[35:10] how to care for a flag, all of the important things
[35:12] that unfortunately they're not taught on a regular basis and I guess we will be going
[35:21] to the Booneville Fair again this year. This is our third year going. It's put on by
[35:27] United County 4-H and Cornell Extension as well as the Booneville Fair Committee. They cover
[35:37] the cost of the busing to get us there, they cover the admission, they cover, they give
[35:46] each student and my staff a $20 food voucher for a carnival food and they all get wristbands
[35:54] to ride the rides. So that is an unbelievable, I mean that's, if I had to pay for the buses
[36:02] and all of that stuff, we're probably looking at $6,000.
[36:06] So it is a huge benefit.
[36:10] And Mr. Bach, I would have told him to take it back
[36:14] to the county that we really, really appreciate it.
[36:18] And as usual, we're always welcoming donations.
[36:23] Ice pops, candy, our goodies are always great.
[36:28] Arts and crafts, old things that you have laying around
[36:31] that you don't think are worth anything.
[36:34] These kids can make something out of anything.
[36:37] And sports equipment, we do have quite a bit,
[36:41] but they never make it through the whole summer.
[36:45] So if anybody has anything that they want to donate,
[36:49] we highly welcome it.
[36:52] And that's it.
[36:53] Thank you, Karen.
[36:54] Next, I wish you pretended to say my true dreamer.
[36:57] I have a few things. The equivalent of what I found out was international,
[37:02] I've heard a lot of last one. Has been sold. We have three pieces. There are also two of them picked up.
[37:08] One hasn't yet.
[37:12] Hopefully they'll be out on some of these pieces out there.
[37:16] Read ways for the lives complete.
[37:21] We're working on Pauline Ann right now,
[37:24] which is about my schedule for three years. We're finally getting the drainage work done,
[37:29] which is ahead of the major paving out on the street.
[37:33] We've gone into asphalt as the three inch lift
[37:36] and the engine handle.
[37:38] If anybody's been by the highway gradually,
[37:41] you'll see a huge building on the site,
[37:43] which is the deer guilt, snow trails,
[37:47] building the houses, their groomers.
[37:49] We talked about that probably five, six months ago.
[37:52] Anyone know?
[37:53] The building is opposite.
[37:55] It's not completed yet.
[37:55] We've got doors and things like that.
[37:57] But that is, if you see a new building about the pet sport,
[38:01] it's
[38:08] in one lighthouse road bridge.
[38:10] It's still moving forward.
[38:19] She's back through your road.
[38:21] We're still trying to get our engineering.
[38:25] There's a boat on engineering.
[38:28] I gave the information at Gregory, he signed it.
[38:31] Unfortunately, there was about four other places
[38:33] that need to be signed and documented.
[38:35] So I got back to us when Gregory is back in the office.
[38:38] he'll have to sign that and get it. There's a, I don't know, he hasn't even know around
[38:42] him in one spot. So, let's say there's a box. We can get him right to them. We're still
[38:49] looking at the trees. I got to get a third quarter, those trees on our property on our
[38:54] green drive. I've got two now. I've got to get the third. Oh, yeah, which is right. School
[39:03] I think I talked about that last month at a sinkhole in the road or away to school got out to do anything with that and now school's out.
[39:14] I'm proud I'm going to look at it because we're so short handed without trying to get a messenger from the contractor to see if I can get it done in a reasonable amount of time or money wise.
[39:27] So I'm going to find a couple of what kind of tractors will see for it to do that.
[39:31] We'll supply a material of another seed.
[39:37] Thank you so much.
[39:38] Thank you.
[39:38] Can I ask you a question?
[39:39] Certainly.
[39:40] I call it today from Shane Bailey's wife, and we're just looking through a couple of answers
[39:48] to do that.
[39:49] Is there going to be a hash investigation on that?
[39:53] That's not up to me.
[39:54] That's up to the hash code.
[39:55] The investigator.
[39:56] I can't answer that if I don't know that.
[39:58] What do you think is that, at least report or like I haven't got a clue, I don't know, I don't know, I talk with the councilman, I don't know what we're doing.
[40:10] I can't agree. Can I honestly play that, and they'll call me or they'll just show up and they're going about the issue.
[40:18] I don't have no prior warning.
[40:22] Okay, this needs something to tell you.
[40:25] James, you think he's doing well?
[40:27] Yeah, I've talked with him.
[40:30] Yeah, yeah, any communication I think helps me.
[40:33] Anyone from the board who say how you really shouldn't know.
[40:36] How you really shouldn't know.
[40:37] How you really shouldn't know.
[40:39] You know, it's an incident.
[40:39] It's an incident.
[40:40] It's an incident.
[40:40] It's an incident.
[40:42] It's an incident.
[40:50] If you're going to do a investigation, you'll be one less than only just like that.
[40:55] I mean, he'll draw but not on my door.
[40:57] And I want information.
[40:59] That's why I have things a little quick.
[41:01] It's still sitting there.
[41:02] It hasn't been functions available.
[41:03] You know, okay.
[41:05] That's why.
[41:05] And anticipation that somebody might draw.
[41:08] Okay. Thanks.
[41:09] I appreciate it.
[41:10] Thank you.
[41:10] Okay, guys.
[41:13] Next, Jim Maxwell.
[41:14] His report's on the desk in the back.
[41:17] is Matt Poole's security assessment.
[41:20] No, Matt Poole's.
[41:23] Patty Goldsmith could not make it.
[41:26] Her report is also back there on the desk.
[41:29] And the story in John Fauci.
[41:33] Not here.
[41:34] Parks Committee, Debbie Burke, Epson.
[41:37] Uh-oh.
[41:38] That leaves Laura a lust.
[41:41] I'm going to take you here.
[41:43] Okay.
[41:46] We had three public hearings last month.
[41:53] The last one was the US variance, which are extremely market gap and it was denied.
[42:00] The other two were approved.
[42:03] They were the larger buildings and the last one was the person who had been cut down the
[42:12] size of the building he wanted.
[42:15] And there was a little friction between the neighbors.
[42:18] But once they started talking to each other, it's amazing how it's put together.
[42:23] That's good.
[42:24] Very pleased about that.
[42:25] I did receive one packet from Mr. Maxwell about someone who may be doing a variance and that will be as soon as I get money crossing my
[42:39] home they dealt with the town. Okay. We will look at that as far as a senior scholar, you're very happy and have the air
[42:50] conditioning working. And if you're wanting in here just put the switch up and make sure
[42:55] that button says cool, not off or cold. You know why? You know why it's working? I know
[43:02] when pizza day is gone.
[43:11] We just had for our 4th of July celebration we had hot dogs which is normal for us and we had
[43:19] some good salads come in. In August, and July, we're going to be, well, it's cake and ice cream,
[43:29] Thursday, and then we'll have pizza again. The last Thursday is going to be our ice cream
[43:39] and we do have one trip coming in August to go to the rev in Auburn, the old
[43:47] carousel, one is the carousel theater, and it's to take care of yourself.
[44:01] But that's it for us, let's see.
[44:04] Thank you, Laura.
[44:07] Let's see.
[44:08] Oh, right here.
[44:10] Last is definitely not least.
[44:13] Is our town attorney Bill Schmitt.
[44:16] What a report.
[44:17] I like that.
[44:18] Okay.
[44:21] Let's see.
[44:22] Anybody here from the media? Yes, sir. Hi. Hi. I'm Thomas. I'll just bring on the data center. I was just told to come every day. Oh, okay. Well, thanks for coming. Where are you from?
[44:37] I'll give you something.
[44:38] Oh, okay. Thanks for coming. I didn't know you were here. Do you have anything you want to add or you just came to?
[44:46] Okay. Okay. I'm glad you're okay. I'm not. I think I got a fever, hopefully.
[44:53] Wait, prove it to the floor. Yes, sir.
[44:57] Yes, so I sent a letter to come.
[45:00] Yes. And, first of all, no one responded. Second of all, I appreciate Mr. Fee's
[45:31] I guess, I mean, I'm not a big, I don't know a whole lot about the park's problems but
[45:39] That speaks for itself.
[45:41] The motor vehicle thing with motorcycles are four wheelers.
[45:45] Yeah.
[45:45] That's strictly a law enforcement issue.
[45:48] There's nothing.
[45:49] The law enforcement say that they're not going to do anything because they have to catch them right then and they're not allowed to chase them.
[45:55] Right.
[45:56] The only thing we're talking about putting cameras in the back, where does that stand?
[46:01] That's Mr. Colock's handling that and he's not here tonight.
[46:06] Yeah, the thing is with the ATVs and they have to be local.
[46:14] They can't be that far.
[46:15] Listen, I can tell you where it comes from.
[46:18] That will be very helpful to the sheriff's department.
[46:21] They don't really seem to care because I told them.
[46:25] I mean, again, there's no accountability.
[46:30] I don't see the town going here to say to these folks
[46:33] that they need to do something.
[46:36] There are kids, and there was a,
[46:37] listen, they just had the little three times,
[46:40] just before the meeting, they had little machines
[46:42] going up in that walker road.
[46:44] I mean, I don't know about the parents,
[46:47] but I didn't get kids to it.
[46:48] I heard people say, let the kids be kids,
[46:51] but wait until there's a problem,
[46:52] and a car hits when it has 55 out of here, folks.
[46:56] And if those kids get hit, they get a warning.
[46:59] It's gonna be the person driving the car.
[47:02] It's me and that's not fair.
[47:05] And I am a certain kind of person.
[47:07] And that's only part of the issue
[47:09] was the ATVs and the Third Life Center.
[47:12] They get off the trails back here.
[47:15] I appreciate it.
[47:16] Sam's got the guys that cut the wood,
[47:18] they cut the grass, appreciate it, definitely.
[47:21] I'm more in line, forgive me for being selfish, but I tend to think that my part is here for me and that I'm going to be able to use it.
[47:33] We originally put this one and a half mile metal loop, they call it now.
[47:38] Yeah, it's not originally.
[47:39] We originally put them with stone.
[47:41] It compacted down.
[47:42] I remember Sam was putting a grass killer around because the grass was growing up through.
[47:48] which is okay, the problem is after these, I'm going to call it years of neglect
[47:54] because no one's really done anything other than sand going down,
[47:57] he's put some drainage down through.
[48:00] If this is a quote unquote wilderness trail, and I'm not looking for a tarred surface
[48:05] or a painted surface or anything like that, but what's there is not acceptable.
[48:12] I've seen other folks, unfortunately, are a little older.
[48:16] I like to walk.
[48:18] It's a perfect one and a half mile from me around that
[48:22] and back to my house.
[48:25] You can't cut the grass too low because you're
[48:28] going to break your machine or blades
[48:30] by having the deck too low because the rocks
[48:34] that are coming up from the bottom are going to trip it.
[48:36] So now you're hiding the rocks.
[48:38] You're hiding the divots, if you will.
[48:42] There's down on the back side of the hill going down before you make the sharp turn, there's roots that come up.
[48:49] There's a lot of foam size and little bigger sticks that are laying across a york rake could clean that up.
[48:56] But if you dug out the stone that are popping up through and you were able to get the grass out,
[49:01] you could even miss some of the divas. It's like if this wanted to hit two vans.
[49:06] Again, I've fallen three times. I fell less weak. I was just really upset, so I complained.
[49:15] Sorry, Karen.
[49:18] I don't understand the difficulty of having a
[49:23] your brake go down through and having the machine just go get rid of the rocks and
[49:28] fill it in with some gravel, something that you can get a fairly decent surface.
[49:33] Well, no. I mean, if there's spots that some soil or something can be put in to help alleviate it, the problem is it's exactly what it's called in the wilderness trail. It's not going to be like the pavement.
[49:46] Why did we put the stone down to begin with?
[49:49] Well, why did we maintain it for a bunch of years after? And now all of a sudden for the best, I don't know, a bunch of years.
[49:57] I'm not. Well, now we're going to call it in. Well, John, I think the best thing to do
[50:03] was here for Parks and Midi. See if they can identify some of them. I've done that.
[50:08] Oh, wait a minute. Then maybe a maintenance schedule. And it's all dependent on trying the same
[50:15] hand. The Parks and Midi meet. They all. I was part of the Parks community. I had one meeting
[50:22] last year in September. It was quiet all winter long. So we could have been doing
[50:27] meetings, setting goals, getting quotes, doing whatever needed to be done, there was absolutely
[50:34] nothing going on. So this is the boat that you created. I've heard in the past that we're
[50:42] going to maybe think about restructuring this park's quote-unquote committee or program.
[50:55] Right now
[50:56] I have a big, big and largely involved in parts issues, but I think it's right.
[51:01] Councilperson, maybe you need to be involved in this.
[51:04] I see a question.
[51:06] I like to understand partially your problem, I'm so partial, I'm saying that, but I like
[51:12] to get to a solution.
[51:14] I don't know.
[51:14] Sort of like the one that instruments.
[51:18] So, I heard two complaints.
[51:20] One is the misuse of the trial by the member vehicles, is that correct?
[51:24] Yes.
[51:24] Is that caused in part of the second problem, do you think?
[51:29] I would think it does, but that's sort of the creative.
[51:32] I mean, that's unnecessary.
[51:34] Have you talked to the Sharers' Parliament about providing
[51:37] them with the annual surveillance?
[51:40] So you can go to the video call and the video,
[51:43] can they work with that at all?
[51:44] Have you talked to them about that?
[51:45] No, I haven't.
[51:46] OK, so then maybe a solution might be or an attempt
[51:51] at a solution would be to put a notice
[51:53] and a very prominent notice in the newsletter, say, guys, we got a problem and it's causing
[51:59] safety issues. And then you say, if it's a violation, I think it was going to be a little
[52:08] more valuable. Subject to these counties. Do a real obvious notice.
[52:15] That's a good point. That's it. Because chances are their town residents currently.
[52:20] That's what made me a warning to say, you know, you don't want to jam anybody just say listen. It's gonna be monitored. Please reframe. Yeah, yeah, here's my help. I don't like it. I know, you know, you know, you are.
[52:34] That's if the parents know what the kids are doing.
[52:37] So, so maybe we can try that much this month.
[52:42] the other part to that would be the other part to that would be the condition of the trail itself now I would ask Sam is there and I think Greg Phil just you
[52:57] alluded to this is there a maintenance schedule like you mentioned in your break maybe that's the best way there's another way
[53:03] But can that be put on a schedule where somebody runs down it with your every
[53:07] put in every, every, every, every spring? Is that something that can be done?
[53:14] Instead of, like, going to the board office to do it, I mean, I'm under their direction.
[53:17] Yeah, but, but in your, in your expertise, that's, would that be effective?
[53:22] And then, can that be...
[53:23] Because you're high at the same level.
[53:25] You only operate.
[53:27] You know, is there...
[53:29] Like, I look at park maintenance as kind of a specialty of a site.
[53:35] I mean, is that what you do to a trail that had previously had gravel laid down on it?
[53:40] Does York breaking even out and smooth it out?
[53:44] Is that something that's effective?
[53:47] We've never had a complaint.
[53:49] This is really just the only thing I've never had a complaint.
[53:52] I've been complaining about it for a year or so.
[53:54] I've heard others, but John's been, I'm sorry.
[53:58] I mean, this really had to be a school that was on this
[54:00] until they had never come to me with an issue.
[54:04] They do have one.
[54:05] Yeah.
[54:06] But that doesn't mean that Mr. C.
[54:08] who was complaining said, I'm not, this is not,
[54:11] I'm not.
[54:12] No, I'm not sure.
[54:15] I've never told him that what he should do,
[54:20] I've come to you guys because I know
[54:22] that he takes direction from you guys.
[54:25] I'll make it.
[54:25] Well, we're going to try to get for a moment,
[54:27] because that's the action that we're going to do.
[54:29] I suppose we have a company that's asking me to do it.
[54:32] See, I'm going to know when you're going to watch.
[54:34] Yeah, sorry.
[54:35] So the first part would be maybe a notice in the newslette.
[54:40] And then another thing, if you say,
[54:42] maybe you can make a rack of recommendations,
[54:44] you'd be bored, then what can be done periodically,
[54:46] when you're springing in fall, or springing in the summer
[54:50] and springing in the summer, that would
[54:52] alleviate some of these problems.
[54:54] and then a resident, you know, then we can say,
[54:57] well, it's a wilderness trail, we did what we can do.
[55:00] Then we haven't argued with you there,
[55:01] but right now it's not just done for a couple of years,
[55:04] we don't have an argument.
[55:05] What can we do, you know, you see what I mean?
[55:07] So can you make a recommendation to your board
[55:10] as to what can be done to smooth it out
[55:12] and make it safe for you?
[55:14] We can try our break in at first.
[55:16] Okay.
[55:17] What's your, what's your, what's your, what's your,
[55:21] what's your, what's your, I'll talk to Sam about it.
[55:25] Is there a sign for no ATVs and?
[55:29] We also have a lot.
[55:32] Okay.
[55:35] Okay.
[55:36] There you go.
[55:37] Oh yes, ma'am.
[55:39] I know I see this on James Maxwell's paper here.
[55:43] Yeah.
[55:46] I do have concerns when the Stretten Road property
[55:49] property with the trust that are passed in the railroad. Why aren't they getting
[55:56] triggered in? They should be. In the past, we've had the sheriff's at the
[56:01] firehouse. They're not supposed to use it as a thoroughfare unless it's a
[56:05] delivery. But yes, they get off the two-way and it's not going over. I'm talking
[56:12] about the house. It said 57 in the railroad. Oh. Okay. If he has commercial
[56:17] so beautiful on the road, 24 seven, there's a big school of
[56:21] five over there and there's been there for days and the
[56:25] recards and the car on their line
[56:28] which no place on them.
[56:29] Is he aware of that, people?
[56:31] Who's he?
[56:32] Mr. Betzwell.
[56:33] It says right here at the time.
[56:35] Oh, I...
[56:35] Oh, I...
[56:37] Oh, so he's looking at...
[56:39] Yeah, he's looking.
[56:40] So...
[56:40] He will...
[56:41] Yeah, they do turn over that in our neighborhood because
[56:44] it's coming out of our development.
[56:46] When you pull out of him about it, you may not see past those vehicles that are on the road, the traffic going down so well.
[56:56] And the multiple people can, you know, you know, are trying to pull out.
[57:00] You can't see past that. You've almost gotten hit.
[57:05] Well, he's probably looking into it, and he'll have to issue an order to remedy.
[57:10] and if they don't comply, the time it takes to get it to court, but it'll eventually get there.
[57:20] So in addition to that, I've just curious, is it time to have some kind of organs or policy with what they can keep on their property?
[57:29] Yes.
[57:29] So when we first went in, there were certain restrictions under D, that you couldn't have a big trailer,
[57:34] you could have a bowl store there, you could have these things all off your property to maintain
[57:39] the integrity of the name of it. So when you drive over there and you see these big utility
[57:43] bucket trucks and now you start seeing the stuff that they're doing. They're looking at their back
[57:49] cars. They can find them for that. Yeah, you look at their back yard and they have
[57:52] vehicle store back there, three cars and they have, looks like 500 cans or even maybe
[58:01] and it's very overgrown and it doesn't look very deep.
[58:07] So I'm just curious, what is the ordinance called?
[58:11] What is the ordinance called?
[58:14] Oh, there's a property maintenance ordinance
[58:16] where he has to, they have to comply with the ordinance
[58:21] or they have to go to court eventually.
[58:23] So who was who mr. Max mr. Max well-issued so
[58:31] It doesn't happen overnight, but we've had some good success
[58:39] Yes, yes
[58:40] Well, I was gonna ask if you know on our actually resides there
[58:47] No, okay, so yes, sir
[58:53] I'm just kind of, as someone who doesn't always come,
[58:56] but I can come in on regular days meetings
[58:58] and someone who has built many businesses
[59:00] in the area from nothing.
[59:03] What I have to do here is a lot of excuse me.
[59:06] I hate to say that because I'll tell you,
[59:07] I know your job is very hard,
[59:09] so let me just preface what I'm gonna say by it
[59:12] because I'm also a chairman of the Republican committee.
[59:15] You can do everything right and still be there.
[59:17] So I'm not preface what I'm saying
[59:18] is that I'm not picking any one table of memory.
[59:21] And I don't know if this Jones won't be here at all because I sit back and you're meeting
[59:25] and listen to everybody talking.
[59:27] I've got to say kind of that, and what it is is, and please don't get mad at me, everyone,
[59:33] but excuse me.
[59:35] All right?
[59:35] When you run companies, you're not well, they're luxury, because you go very well.
[59:40] When you run committees, like 384 people in a Republican committee, you have to have some
[59:45] committees under it, like the park committee, that meet, meet regularly, give accountability
[59:50] to get into the account for something, the excuse that he's used to pass the clock and so many things.
[59:57] I have someone who's very idea-rated because my company's...
[1:00:00] I had never yet gotten a 19 notice from our computer system. It says a 10 if I was meeting. I'd love to look at me. Now, once, all right, the things I'm hearing, because I have a 19-day program where I come here, is borderline and interior government excuses, the why we don't enable functional 19 website, which is what we should. It's not about ensuring your websites, not about your domain name. It's not about forwarding email address, it could be done any one time. What I hear here, and unfortunately, I don't want you, everyone angry, what I keep hearing, is every time something gets worse,
[1:00:30] brought up, there's an excuse why we can't fix it.
[1:00:33] Let's go to his idea over here.
[1:00:36] When I'm out of property down by the canal,
[1:00:38] they had every derelict in the world
[1:00:40] walking through it instead of going in by the head.
[1:00:43] Somehow we needed to create a way
[1:00:44] to create an incentive for them not to do it anymore.
[1:00:47] A very simple suggestion, put a damn trail camera
[1:00:50] that says we're big, you're getting your eggs.
[1:00:53] You know what happens?
[1:00:54] Local people stop.
[1:00:55] All the derelicts that come through,
[1:00:57] you'll see nine children are stuck all the way,
[1:00:59] Simply by taking a 50-dollar camera, we can set people to do all kinds of things in room
[1:01:03] welfare.
[1:01:04] That's wonderful.
[1:01:05] We can't see the sense in putting up a nice big sign like we do that says, only stay
[1:01:10] out comes here, or you'll be videotaped, or a long portion will get you.
[1:01:14] Most of the time, that's all you need to change human nature.
[1:01:18] It's just accountability.
[1:01:20] But that's the same thing I'm saying about the board that comes here.
[1:01:24] The accountability staff with you guys, like he said, he doesn't go to stay in the talk
[1:01:29] although by saying we're talking to 50 of us and not to hope about the whole time.
[1:01:33] Because I have a color request that's there and I want you to fix it with it.
[1:01:36] We don't do that.
[1:01:37] Utility.
[1:01:37] That's how an engagement works.
[1:01:40] And so when you're asking for a problem, you can solve it on the trail.
[1:01:43] That's something you should have come down through the chain and then solve.
[1:01:46] Here's the problem.
[1:01:46] I see a text here.
[1:01:48] Here's the problem.
[1:01:48] When you watch over one of those columns, it is too much for us over here.
[1:01:53] And he falls down and hurts his leg and we end up with a loss of time
[1:01:55] because we didn't do the maintenance time.
[1:01:57] When we have the equipment to go down and do it, that's it because our part of the environment
[1:02:01] you can say, he's saying we can go down and run to go once for us.
[1:02:05] There are solutions for us that are very simple.
[1:02:07] Every time I come to a meeting, I hear the problems, but I never hear some sort of solutions
[1:02:11] employed.
[1:02:13] Ever.
[1:02:15] I hear side conversations over here where I can't hear it at the time, the nest is respectful,
[1:02:20] and it means it's funny, but it's not, it's different, but the fact is we're looking
[1:02:24] for some kind of solutions.
[1:02:27] And I don't think it's unreasonable for people to give a talk.
[1:02:30] I got to go right now and simply say, can we concentrate
[1:02:33] more on solutions?
[1:02:35] If we know that the parts department is part of that solution,
[1:02:38] it can't be for the part department to meet next week
[1:02:41] and come up with something that won't specify it.
[1:02:43] Or any other thing, but if you can't do that,
[1:02:46] then the parts department doesn't work for you.
[1:02:48] You work for them.
[1:02:51] OK, thank you.
[1:02:53] for what it's worth, I'm sorry.
[1:02:54] Thank you.
[1:02:55] No, it's okay.
[1:02:55] I'd like to answer that.
[1:02:57] I guess, you know, you don't come to there.
[1:02:59] I mean, I've come to a couple of different people
[1:03:01] but my husband has been there.
[1:03:03] I guess there's the fact that the proxy department,
[1:03:07] the building's cold guy is not here.
[1:03:10] So you guys want us to come to the meetings,
[1:03:12] but I'm sure this is why you don't get a lot
[1:03:14] of other people coming because they get the same thing.
[1:03:16] So he's not here to address their problems.
[1:03:18] I mean, I understand, you know,
[1:03:20] And getting these complaints as far as I know is what part time.
[1:03:27] But you know, you know,
[1:03:30] the Web site, the Web site,
[1:03:31] I mean, every moment of the year, it can answer these questions.
[1:03:33] The Web site begins with a capable of letting every single
[1:03:36] peer through a Web site to know,
[1:03:38] whether it's any kind of reading
[1:03:38] and any kind of a committee at any time in the day.
[1:03:41] You have that capability.
[1:03:43] We've ended the Web site for how many years now?
[1:03:45] And we still can't even get our emails from chasing each other.
[1:03:51] Now, that's not to leave anything else, ma'am.
[1:03:55] No, I just wish that there was people here for those who don't leave the parks and
[1:04:00] the parks.
[1:04:00] No more for those who don't leave the parks and the parks.
[1:04:01] I just want to say that I'm pursuing here, I'm under tired, so I'm willing to help any
[1:04:12] council person or supervisor with any
[1:04:14] medial task that went if legally acceptable
[1:04:18] for me to help out with. That's why I
[1:04:22] became involved with the parks committee
[1:04:24] to begin with, but nothing was getting
[1:04:27] done. I offered by same IT skills to the town
[1:04:29] of the free to help me with that transition.
[1:04:32] I did. I am happy that, again, I ran a
[1:04:37] successful IT business for 17 years.
[1:04:41] I'm happy to be a consultant, I guess, for the time it's ready to help look at it for something.
[1:04:48] I'm more ready willing and able to help my talent because I care.
[1:04:54] I feel as though what I'm asking for is out of the park.
[1:04:59] And if something is awarding, then I'm a whole believer that we need to have people in place
[1:05:05] they're going to help make changes so that it's a positive change. Again, there's no accountability.
[1:05:13] I don't know the fellow over here, but I agree with accountability and the excuses.
[1:05:19] I've been hearing the same thing about cameras since last summer I think it was.
[1:05:25] I first started hearing about it. I'm just shocked. I mean, I don't government as well.
[1:05:32] But if we do things for month to month, you know, what's wrong with having a meeting, talk to them?
[1:05:38] If we had a parts committee, the first thing I would do is ask the town what would they like?
[1:05:44] You know plan, there's no plan.
[1:05:46] And then I looked that line, I'm the old, um...
[1:05:49] Well, we got a new plan, Charlie. I mean...
[1:05:50] I don't, you know, I don't care.
[1:05:53] I don't care, Phil. I have every way to stand here and speak.
[1:05:57] Five minutes. You have five minutes and we won't wait. We won't wait. No, because that's not that's not what it's about, John.
[1:06:06] It's about courtesy and I extended it to you as long as I can.
[1:06:11] Let me, uh, let's talk about John and your power.
[1:06:14] Oh, come on.
[1:06:15] John, let's turn it down please.
[1:06:18] I did make a recommendation, you know it, to create, to restructure departments to me.
[1:06:23] And I'm still working on that, even though I was met with a lot of opposition from a person in the department.
[1:06:30] Thought I went over her hand up.
[1:06:32] I'm not going to let that go. We're going to still do that.
[1:06:35] We're going to still do that.
[1:06:36] And once it's structured, then we actually have a part of me.
[1:06:41] Right now we have one person pretty much.
[1:06:43] You try to balance it, other people try to balance it.
[1:06:46] So thank you very much for your comment.
[1:06:48] I'm going to continue to push that through to restructure it
[1:06:52] and create actually a legal park's board,
[1:06:56] that's what we need.
[1:06:56] You know that, I like mine.
[1:06:58] So thank you, it does get heated,
[1:07:01] but you have to take a deep breath
[1:07:03] and just come back next month, you know.
[1:07:06] So I appreciate everybody's in it, but thank you.
[1:07:08] Thank you.
[1:07:09] I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
[1:07:11] That's okay.
[1:07:11] That's okay.
[1:07:12] Can we get trail cams on the back of the ruins?
[1:07:15] I don't know, you'd have to talk to,
[1:07:18] I'm not an IT guy.
[1:07:20] I mean, you can put that in the middle of the woods,
[1:07:21] you know, meet all the stuff there.
[1:07:22] You get these these kids on the trail can't get the film shown to the sheriff
[1:07:27] I mean he's not gonna do anything anyways because they go down
[1:07:29] How's the manner and we follow them and you know built on it the sheriff's
[1:07:35] But we'll have a phone
[1:07:38] Maybe they'll scare them up
[1:07:41] Okay, okay movie man. We've got motion to pay bill around what's he's oh, I'm sorry
[1:07:54] The police did come to us by now to threaten to shake away my husband's license because they were on their bikes, on a roll in the town.
[1:08:04] I don't think we have as good coverage by our sheriff or New York State police.
[1:08:11] Not like the old days.
[1:08:12] 40 years.
[1:08:13] Exactly.
[1:08:14] And then there were the parents who said, oh my son what?
[1:08:18] Yeah.
[1:08:20] And let's see him in the next film.
[1:08:23] Thank you.
[1:08:23] This is what's going on.
[1:08:25] All right.
[1:08:25] I'll take that.
[1:08:27] I'll take that.
[1:08:28] And I need to mic on.
[1:08:29] Okay.
[1:08:29] Next is the motion to pay bills.
[1:08:32] And there are with me.
[1:08:35] Sure.
[1:08:36] General Fund.
[1:08:37] Bill number 202-249.
[1:08:40] I like the motion on that.
[1:08:44] All in favor?
[1:08:47] Opposed?
[1:08:48] Highway bill.
[1:08:48] Thank you.
[1:08:52] 182-136.
[1:08:54] Like a motion on that.
[1:08:59] Thank you.
[1:09:01] All in favor?
[1:09:03] Aye.
[1:09:03] Opposed?
[1:09:04] Motion carried.
[1:09:05] Suer bill.
[1:09:06] There's just number 9 and 10, Suer bill, like a motion.
[1:09:12] Any other questions?
[1:09:13] I would like to thank you.
[1:09:16] All right.
[1:09:16] I agree.
[1:09:17] Please, motion carried.
[1:09:18] Thank you everyone for coming.
[1:09:20] Motion to close the lady there.
[1:09:23] Thank you, motion.
[1:09:24] Awesome.
[1:09:29] Thank you for coming.
