[0:26]
>> Great. Thank you. Um, I'm Deb Benton,

right is our vice president, fellow

Tracy Davies. The deputy administrators
[0:41]
Don Houston, Eric Hostadler are here.
[0:43]
And our clerks, Randy Wilson and
[0:46]

[0:48]
>> Resolution number 26-288
[0:50]
in the matter of approving electronic
[0:51]
record of proceedings from regular
[0:53]
meeting held April 23rd, 2026.
[0:55]
>> So move. Second

[1:01]
Mrs. Lewis
[1:02]
>> I
[1:02]
>> Mr. Merrell
[1:03]
>> I
[1:03]
>> Mr. Benton
[1:04]
>> I
[1:05]
>> we do not have any public comment today
[1:07]
that brings us to item number three
[1:08]
resolution number 26-289
[1:11]
in the matter of approving purchase
[1:12]
orders and announced certificates of
[1:14]
payments of warrants and batch number CM
[1:16]
APR0424
[1:19]
» so move
[1:19]
>> second
[1:20]
>> discussion vote
[1:22]
>> vote on motion 26-289
[1:24]
Mr. Benton
[1:25]
>> I
[1:25]
>> Mrs. Lewis.
[1:26]
>> I
[1:26]
>> Mr. Merrell.
[1:27]
>> Hi.
[1:28]
>> Resolution number 26-290 in the matter
[1:31]
approving travel expense request.
[1:33]
>> So move second.
[1:34]
>> Discussion vote.
[1:36]
>> Let's go with Lewis and Merrill. Vote on
[1:40]
motion 26-290.
[1:42]
Mr. Merrell.
[1:43]
>> I.
[1:43]
>> Mr. Benton.
[1:44]
>> I.
[1:44]
>> Mrs. Lewis.
[1:45]
>> I.
[1:46]
>> Resolution number 26-291
[1:48]
in the matter of approving the 2026 2027
[1:51]
program cost with the county risk
[1:53]
sharing authority.
[1:54]
>> So moved. Second
[1:56]
>> discussion.
[1:57]
>> Good morning, commissioners, or good afternoon.
[2:00]
>> That's right. Good afternoon.
[2:02]
>> Um, Don Houston, deputy administrator,
[2:05]
and we have with us Brian Smith with SFM
[2:09]
Insurance, who's our local insurance
[2:12]
agent, and this is our annual renewal
[2:14]
with Corsa. Um, we were fortunate to
[2:18]
receive less than a 10% increase in our
[2:21]
renewal premium. Um, we ended up with a
[2:25]
7.57%
[2:27]
increase, I believe. Um, and that's
[2:30]
actually very good considering that our
[2:32]
property values increased with our last
[2:36]
appraisal by 95.5 million. Um so we're
[2:42]
doing very well I think all in all um in
[2:46]
terms of you know loss control and
[2:49]
ensuring that um we're all taking
[2:52]
advantage of the trainings and the
[2:54]
programs that we have available through
[2:57]
um to help keep our costs down. Um
[3:01]
Brian's here to talk about some of the
[3:04]
um changes and enhancements that we
[3:07]
might be seeing or will be seeing um as
[3:10]
we begin this next coverage year and we
[3:14]
can answer any questions as well.
[3:17]
>> Yes, there was not a lot of changes this
[3:19]
year from last year uh which was good.
[3:22]
Uh a couple of the things um that they
[3:24]
did bring up or that they are changing
[3:26]
and you guys Delaware County um was able
[3:30]
to secure the 2 million in cyber
[3:32]
extortion coverage. Uh so this year uh
[3:36]
they tiered the counties based on uh
[3:39]
your cyber preparedness and uh you
[3:42]
reached the top tier. So you receive the
[3:45]
maximum amount of coverage that is
[3:46]
available. Um they also have gone ahead
[3:49]
and uh implemented a $50,000 law
[3:52]
enforcement uh vehicle uplift uh the
[3:55]
equipment. So before that was included
[3:57]
in the vehicle cost. Uh now they just
[4:00]
have an automatic 50,000 that they get
[4:02]
for any of the sheriff's department or
[4:04]
anybody uh where we put lights,
[4:06]
different things on that don't
[4:07]
automatically come with the vehicle. So
[4:09]
an enhancement there. And then the um
[4:12]
only other last thing uh they did move
[4:15]
the social engineering out of crime in
[4:17]
or out of cyber into crime just to give
[4:19]
you more coverage on that part. But uh
[4:22]
as Don mentioned um the loss control is
[4:25]
a very big part of Corsa and protecting
[4:28]
you. And once again Delaware County
[4:30]
received 100% of the credit. So all the
[4:33]
hard work that Don her department and uh
[4:36]
you have put into it uh did give you the
[4:38]
maximum benefit there.
[4:41]
Okay.
[4:42]
>> Questions, comments?
[4:43]
>> Well, as of course a board member, the
[4:44]
base increase was 5% this year, but
[4:46]
we've added vehicles, we've added staff,
[4:49]
we've
[4:50]
>> facilities, upgrading on facilities as
[4:52]
far as inflation. That got us to 7 and a
[4:54]
half. That's still a very very good
[4:56]
number. Uh there's some counties that
[4:58]
were in the 14 to 15% range. Uh and for
[5:02]
any number of reasons. Uh so I'm very pleased with where we are. I
[5:07]
think we're in a good position. and uh
[5:09]
um and uh that's really I just wanted to
[5:12]
make that addition comment.
[5:14]
>> Okay, Commissioner Lewis,
[5:16]
>> just uh thank you for your work on on
[5:18]
this and you take it very seriously and
[5:21]
uh and it shows and also to Commissioner
[5:24]
Merrill for sitting on the board. So we have eyes on all the board meetings
[5:30]
with him.
[5:31]
>> Yeah, it's good to good to have
[5:33]
Commissioner there.
[5:34]
>> Yeah, it it is good. I think we find out
[5:37]
things um you know as to maybe what to
[5:41]
keep in mind um for the future with um
[5:45]
your involvement on the board. And I
[5:47]
would also be remiss not to thank um
[5:50]
Vanessa Hill um which works she works
[5:53]
for Brian um she does a great job for us
[5:58]
in um helping Brad Euans um in our
[6:02]
department.
[6:02]
>> Yeah. Yes. get all the information
[6:05]
together um for each year's renewal. So,
[6:10]
>> it's not an easy task. You guys continue
[6:12]
to grow and change and we we keep up,
[6:15]
>> right? And more buildings and
[6:17]
renovations in the future. I mean, yes,
[6:19]
it's just one of the good and
[6:22]
challenging things of growth. Um I I
[6:24]
just had a question if you could just
[6:26]
talk about claims history over the last
[6:28]
few years, just kind of how we're doing,
[6:29]
what the trend is, etc. Yeah, I I would
[6:32]
say our claims history has been trending
[6:35]
pretty well. Um I don't have those
[6:39]
numbers with me, but I will get them to
[6:41]
you and um should be able to have that
[6:45]
for you within the next few days.
[6:47]
>> Okay, that'd be great.
[6:49]
>> And we work with a $100,000 deductible,
[6:52]
which is fairly unusual. There's not
[6:54]
very many counties that have a drug full
[6:55]
that size, but I think that speaks a lot
[6:57]
to our financial health and uh with our
[7:00]
conservatism and trying to get the best
[7:03]
rates possible based on our situations.
[7:05]
>> All right. All right. Um Okay. Further
[7:08]
comments, questions? Uh vote, please.
[7:11]
>> Vote on motion 26-291.
[7:13]
Mrs. Lewis,
[7:14]
>> I.
[7:14]
>> Mr. Merrell.
[7:15]
>> Hi.
[7:15]
>> Mr. Benton.
[7:16]
>> Hi.
[7:17]
>> Thank you.
[7:18]
>> Good.
[7:19]
Resolution number 26-292 in the matter
[7:22]
of approving a transfer of funds for job
[7:24]
and family services.
[7:26]
>> So move
[7:26]
>> second
[7:27]
>> discussion.
[7:28]
>> Good afternoon commissioners. Bobby
[7:29]
Anderson with job and family services.
[7:31]
Uh this is our quarterly transfer for
[7:34]
public assistance fund and monthly uh
[7:36]
transfer for shared uh costs in our FCFC
[7:40]
funds.
[7:41]
>> Okay.
[7:42]
>> Questions, comments? Please
[7:44]
>> vote on motion 26-292.
[7:46]
Mr. Benton.
[7:47]
>> I.
[7:47]
>> Mrs. Lewis
[7:48]
>> I. Mr. Merrell,
[7:49]
>> I
[7:50]
>> resolution number 26-293 in the matter
[7:53]
of approving the subgrant agreement
[7:55]
between the Delaware County Board of
[7:56]
Commissioners, the Delaware County
[7:58]
Department of Job and Family Services
[8:00]
and the Greater Ohio Workforce Board for
[8:02]
a program year 2026 2027 Workforce
[8:05]
Development Services.
[8:07]
>> So move second.
[8:08]
>> Discussion. I think that said it all,
[8:10]
but this is our subgrant agreement with
[8:12]
GOI uh to allow us to operate the
[8:15]
workforce and uh we owe up funds uh not
[8:18]
only to draw down the funds but to
[8:19]
administer the programs.
[8:21]
>> Any changes?
[8:22]
>> No.
[8:24]
>> Comments?
[8:24]
>> No changes.
[8:25]
>> Okay. Uh vote, please.
[8:26]
>> Vote on motion 26-293.
[8:29]
Mr. Merrell.
[8:30]
>> Hi.
[8:30]
>> Mr. Benton.
[8:31]
>> I.
[8:31]
>> Mrs. Lewis.
[8:32]
>> I. Resolution number 26-294
[8:36]
in the matter of approving the third
[8:38]
amendment to the child placement
[8:40]
services contract between the Delaware
[8:41]
County Board of Commissioners, the
[8:43]
Delaware County Department of Job and
[8:45]
Family Services and Child Placement
[8:47]
Provider, the Village Network.
[8:49]
>> Some have second discussion.
[8:51]
>> And this addendum is setting the PDM
[8:54]
rate of $425 for antisocial behavior uh
[8:58]
treatment for youth in our care. And
[9:00]
actually that has come down from 527. So
[9:03]
it's a reduction in our per DM cost.
[9:05]
>> What's our usage with this this
[9:07]
organization?
[9:08]
>> Um I don't know at present how many we
[9:09]
have uh located. We we place um with the appropriate um I'm going to
[9:15]
guess we probably place two to three uh
[9:17]
youth a year.
[9:18]
>> Okay. I didn't think we were using it a
[9:19]
lot.
[9:19]
>> Not a lot,
[9:20]
>> which is which is good.
[9:21]
>> Okay. Um questions, comments? Vote,
[9:24]
please?
[9:25]
>> Vote on motion 26-294.
[9:28]
Mrs. Lewis,
[9:29]
>> I. Mr. Merrell.
[9:30]
>> Hi,
[9:30]
>> Mr. Benton.
[9:31]
>> Hi.
[9:32]
>> Thank you.
[9:33]
>> Resolution number 26-295 in the matter
[9:36]
of approving GMP amendment number one to
[9:38]
the agreement with Peterson Construction
[9:40]
Company for CMR services for the East
[9:43]
Allen Creek pump station upgrades.
[9:45]
>> So move.
[9:46]
>> Second. Discussion.
[9:47]
>> Good afternoon, commissioners. Tiffany
[9:49]
Mag, director of environmental services.
[9:50]
So this is the guaranteed maximum price
[9:52]
for the new pump station that we're
[9:53]
going to build at the corner of Africa
[9:55]
Road and 3637. uh we're locking in a
[9:57]
price of 4.53 million with this 90% GMP
[10:01]
and the project will kick off in June of
[10:03]
this year and be completed roughly by
[10:05]
January of 2027. So it's a pretty quick
[10:08]
turnaround time which we we need this
[10:09]
pump station badly for the capacity in
[10:11]
the additional areas out there that want
[10:13]
to develop in kind of that east of
[10:15]
Galina Road area near the outlet mall.
[10:17]
Um so this will be a big benefit to the
[10:19]
area.
[10:20]
>> Oh yeah, you've been working on it and
[10:23]
trying to get it started.
[10:25]
Okay. Any other questions, comments?
[10:28]
Vote. Jennifer,
[10:29]
>> vote on motion 26-295.
[10:32]
Mr. Benton.
[10:33]
>> I.
[10:33]
>> Mrs. Lewis.
[10:34]
>> I.
[10:34]
>> Mr. Merrell.
[10:35]
>> Hi.
[10:36]
>> Resolution number 26-296
[10:38]
in the matter of approving amendment
[10:40]
number one to the professional services
[10:41]
agreement with Black &beck the
[10:43]
Corporation for the Central Alum Creek
[10:46]
Wastewater Recoil Plan.
[10:48]
>> So move.
[10:49]
>> Second.
[10:50]
>> Discussion.
[10:50]
>> So another very important project for
[10:52]
the area. This is the new Central Ellum
[10:54]
Creek treatment plant that we've uh been
[10:56]
working on planning over the past
[10:58]
several years. So, this project, this
[11:00]
amendment will get us through roughly
[11:01]
the next one year of work, which
[11:03]
includes our environmental assessment
[11:04]
and water quality model, which are both
[11:06]
needed by the Army Corps to proceed
[11:08]
forward with their approval process.
[11:10]
Also, our EPA uh national pollutant
[11:13]
discharge elimination system permit,
[11:15]
which is a permit that allows you to
[11:17]
build a treatment plant and have a
[11:18]
discharge into a waterway. Uh also we'll
[11:21]
be performing the facilities plan and
[11:23]
that facilities plan is going to say
[11:24]
this is what the plant looks like. This
[11:25]
is the footprint. Um this is the size
[11:27]
that we could then take forward for full
[11:29]
design and construction. Uh so roughly a
[11:32]
one-year process with the work uh that
[11:35]
we have going on with this amendment and
[11:36]
then we would have another additional
[11:38]
amendment in the future to actually
[11:40]
design and construct the project.
[11:42]
>> Uh so this is like I mentioned it'll take us through maybe June of next
[11:47]
year with this work.
[11:48]
>> Okay. Thank you for your work on this.
[11:50]
is way long and coming.
[11:53]
>> Yeah.
[11:54]
Absolutely. We're we're uh we're
[11:56]
seeing some progress. So,
[11:57]
>> yes, keep moving forward.
[11:59]
>> Yeah. All right. Uh the questions or
[12:01]
comments? Vote, please.
[12:03]
>> Vote on mission 26-296.
[12:06]
Mr. Merrell.
[12:06]
>> I.
[12:07]
>> Mr. Benton.
[12:07]
>> I.
[12:08]
>> Mrs. Lewis.
[12:09]
>> I.
[12:11]
Resolution number 26-297
[12:14]
in the matter of certification of the
[12:15]
liquid accounts to the auditor for
[12:18]
accounts to be assessed to payable year
[12:19]
2027 taxes.
[12:21]
>> So move
[12:22]
>> second
[12:22]
>> discussion.
[12:23]
>> So this is from our November through
[12:25]
January billing cycle. Uh this is
[12:27]
actually our third consecutive quarter
[12:28]
where we're below 4% on total
[12:30]
delinquencies. Um 3.87% is the the total
[12:35]
percentage this quarter which is
[12:36]
$176,02.
[12:39]
With that we recommend your approval. We
[12:40]
stay roughly in the same range every
[12:42]
quarter. It doesn't
[12:43]
>> pretty much. Yeah. We have 34% of our
[12:45]
users on automatic payments which I
[12:47]
think you see probably see the same
[12:49]
people that don't pay every month and
[12:51]
the rest of them are a good a fair
[12:53]
amount are autopay you know which helps
[12:55]
us with those numbers.
[12:57]
>> Okay. Good. Vote please.
[12:59]
>> Vote on motion 26-297.
[13:02]
Mrs. Lewis
[13:03]
>> I.
[13:03]
>> Mr. Merrell.
[13:04]
>> Hi.
[13:04]
>> Mr. Benton.
[13:05]
>> Hi.
[13:06]
>> Director Mag now has her monthly update
[13:09]
for sewers. Great. Thanks, Jennifer. All
[13:11]
right, so we had a uh a busy April um
[13:15]
compared to the beginning of the year,
[13:16]
which is pretty typical. We start to see
[13:18]
more connections when the the nicer
[13:20]
weather hits. Uh we had a total of 104.7
[13:23]
new connections in April. Uh that is 89
[13:27]
single family homes and 15.7 commercial.
[13:29]
We had no multif family. We still still
[13:31]
have no multif family on the year uh for
[13:33]
so far in 2026, but there are a few
[13:35]
projects moving forward. So, we do
[13:37]
expect that to change here in the
[13:38]
future. So with plan approvals, Clark
[13:41]
Shaw Village, uh this actually kind of
[13:43]
completes that that side of the
[13:45]
tributary area. This is the the most
[13:47]
northern point that can flow into our
[13:49]
existing OA pump station. Uh so 95 units
[13:53]
by Miranda Homes. This is this is just
[13:55]
north of Clerk Shaw Road, east of
[13:56]
section Line Road. Um so to be able to
[13:58]
continue any additional development in
[14:00]
that area, we will need a new pump
[14:02]
station project that would then connect
[14:03]
into an existing forceman that we have
[14:06]
near the Oshana pump station. So it
[14:08]
would be a little bit of a larger scale
[14:10]
project. And then Dell Webb, we've had
[14:13]
this on uh for the past several months.
[14:15]
They're just kind of continuing forward
[14:16]
with sections two and three. This is the PY uh development up there that'll
[14:21]
flow into Northstar's plant. And then
[14:24]
Parkside at Evans Farm. Uh this is a
[14:26]
Rockford uh community, 55 lots in
[14:29]
section two. Then you'll also see down
[14:32]
here in the subdividers agreements, they
[14:33]
also have section one um has an
[14:36]
agreement for 39 units as well.
[14:39]
And then Berlin Farms West section 11
[14:41]
and 12. This is the MI subdivision
[14:44]
that's up off of um uh Berlin Station
[14:47]
Road. And this one, as you know, if you
[14:50]
can see 11 and 12, it's a lot of homes
[14:51]
up here. I think it's like five or 600
[14:53]
total um over the course of all these
[14:56]
sections. So, they're proceeding through
[14:57]
pretty quickly. Uh it's been just a year
[14:59]
or two to get to sections 11 and 12. So,
[15:03]
>> and then three Strands Holdings. Um this
[15:05]
is uh it's just a a sanitary extension
[15:08]
for a couple commercial buildings, a
[15:10]
warehouse project that they're doing off
[15:11]
of Old Liberty Road um near Home Road.
[15:15]
And then I mentioned Parkside, so we'll
[15:17]
click down to Eagle Creek Highlands.
[15:19]
This is the PY subdivision up off of
[15:21]
three bees and a K. Uh you've also seen
[15:23]
this one on session many times because
[15:25]
they had the Eagle Creek is just to the
[15:27]
north and then Eagle Creek Highlands is
[15:29]
kind of that next development that they
[15:30]
have also there just to the south of of
[15:32]
the original development.
[15:34]
And then Dell Webb section two and three
[15:37]
I had mentioned that as well as Parkside
[15:38]
at Evans Farm. Those are all agreements
[15:41]
to go along with the plan approvals.
[15:43]
Then I'll flip down to courtyards at on
[15:46]
Concord phase two. Uh this was also on
[15:48]
last month with a plan approval. 24
[15:51]
single family units. You can see it's
[15:53]
kind of tucked in right next to the
[15:54]
Tartan Fields Golf Course um just to the
[15:57]
east there of of the the main portion of
[16:00]
the course.
[16:02]
And then Courtyards at Evans Farm is the
[16:04]
last one. This is off of Old State Road
[16:06]
just across from uh Sununglow Drive. 36
[16:09]
units in this Epcon development.
[16:12]
>> So with that, I'll take any questions.
[16:17]
» Boy, a lot.
[16:19]
>> Yeah, thanks for picking up.
[16:20]
>> Thank you.
[16:20]
Thanks, D.
[16:24]
Good.
[16:30]
» Oh, miss. Uh, resolution number 26-298

[17:01]
>> Okay. Questions, comments? Vote, please.
[17:03]
>> Vote on motion 26-298. Mr. Benton.
[17:06]
>> I.
[17:06]
>> Mrs. Willis.
[17:07]
>> I.
[17:08]
>> Mr. Merrell.
[17:08]
>> I.
[17:10]
>> Resolution number 26-299
[17:12]
in the matter of approving rightway work
[17:14]
permit summary sheet.
[17:15]
>> So moved.
[17:16]
>> Second. discussion.
[17:18]
>> Uh 13 utility permits for your approval
[17:20]
today.
[17:22]
>> A lot of fiber work being done.
[17:24]
>> Oh yeah,
[17:25]
>> that's good.
[17:26]
>> Don't get me started on that.
[17:27]
>> Yeah. Uh both of these, Jennifer,
[17:30]
>> vote on motion 26-299.
[17:34]
Mr. Merrell,
[17:35]
>> Mr. Benton,
[17:35]
>> I.
[17:36]
>> Mrs. Lewis,
[17:36]
>> I.
[17:37]
>> Thank you.
[17:38]
>> Resolution number 26-3000.
[17:42]
in the matter of approving a contract
[17:44]
for sale and purchase with the Delaware
[17:45]
County Finance Authority for real
[17:47]
property on Bowtown Road in the vicinity
[17:50]
of its intersection with Fixby Parkway.
[17:53]
>> So move second.
[17:54]
>> Discussion.
[17:55]
>> Good afternoon, Eric Hostetler. Earlier
[17:57]
this month, the finance authority
[17:59]
acquired property on Bowtown Road and it
[18:01]
is a property that's adjacent to our
[18:03]
Bixby campus and this contract would uh
[18:07]
approve the purchase of that property
[18:08]
from the finance authority and I'm happy
[18:10]
to answer any questions you might have.
[18:13]
>> Any questions, comments? Again, this is
[18:16]
land we're acquiring for f long-term
[18:18]
future expansion
[18:20]
>> adjacent to our current property.
[18:22]
>> It was available and made sense to
[18:24]
acquire it because someday We We'll need
[18:27]
that, I'm sure. Um, vote, please.
[18:29]
Jennifer,
[18:30]
>> vote on motion 26-300.
[18:33]
Mrs. Lewis,
[18:34]
>> I Mr. Merrell.
[18:35]
>> Hi,
[18:35]
>> Mr. Beck.
[18:36]
>> Hi.
[18:37]
>> Thanks, Eric.
[18:38]
>> Administrator report.
[18:40]
>> Hello, Tracy Davies, administrator. I'm
[18:42]
sure you'll all comment on this, but we
[18:44]
had a great uh state of the county
[18:46]
event. Thanks to everyone who attended.
[18:48]
The three of you did a fabulous job with
[18:49]
the teleprompter, so congratulations.
[18:52]
Also wanted to take the opportunity to
[18:55]
thank our communications department,
[18:56]
especially Jane Haw and Eric Whites for
[18:59]
all of the work. They they do the uh
[19:01]
bulk of the work for the event and just
[19:03]
wanted to take the opportunity to tell
[19:05]
them how much that's appreciated.
[19:07]
>> Yep. Don,
[19:08]
>> I have nothing today.
[19:09]
>> Nothing else, Eric?
[19:12]
Well, we'll save the honory for last.
[19:15]
>> Well, I just reinforce what Tracy just
[19:18]
said. I stopped by to tell Jane and Eric
[19:20]
both to appreciate the job they did. It
[19:22]
was extremely well done, professional. I
[19:25]
think we should all be proud of where we
[19:27]
are as a county and uh the role that
[19:29]
we've all played in that and including
[19:31]
people in that room this morning and uh
[19:34]
I'm always impressed when you asked the
[19:36]
directors to stand up there on these
[19:37]
various boards and
[19:39]
>> uh
[19:40]
>> and we say it all the time. Great people
[19:42]
in this county come forward to help. And
[19:44]
uh I can't I don't think we can say that
[19:46]
enough as far as these are non-paid
[19:48]
positions and people that are out of
[19:51]
their way to serve. It's always
[19:53]
appreciated. Great job. The location was
[19:56]
excellent. I heard a lot of comments
[19:57]
about the location and the changes that
[20:00]
Allian has made.
[20:01]
>> Most of us very well
[20:03]
>> known observed and um I think we should
[20:07]
all be very proud of our efforts. That's
[20:08]
all I have.
[20:10]
>> Um I'll go next. So you can speak last.
[20:14]
Um I I thought it went very well as as
[20:16]
well and and wanted to thank
[20:18]
>> um everyone here and the 240 people or
[20:22]
so in the room
[20:25]
>> that just make this county such a
[20:26]
special place. Um
[20:28]
>> and uh this this year and again thanks
[20:32]
Jane, Eric, Ally, Jen, Brandy.
[20:36]
I'm sure I'm missing people. Um but uh
[20:38]
very very well done and just a lot of
[20:40]
fun, you know, a lot of good people and
[20:44]
just a very good presentation that
[20:45]
really kind of highlights how well
[20:47]
things are going here and how we've got
[20:49]
plans for the future to make it even
[20:50]
better. So um but we wrapped up with a a
[20:54]
surprise video honoring Commissioner
[20:57]
Lewis.
[20:58]
>> Yes.
[20:59]
>> I think we really surprised you. I think
[21:01]
>> I think somebody got a picture of me.
[21:03]
It's probably my my mouth realizing.
[21:06]
Yeah, exactly. Yeah. As a matter of
[21:08]
fact, I know who it was. Yeah, it was
[21:11]
Karen. Yeah. Who was taking a lot of
[21:14]
pictures. So,
[21:15]
>> so it was a lot of fun. So, anyway, I'll
[21:17]
turn over to Commissioner Lewis. Well, I was I I speechless
[21:23]
>> um because the uh uh the tributes kept
[21:26]
rolling in and I I just thought, well,
[21:28]
first I'm surprised because you're up
[21:30]
there talking and then I thought, well,
[21:33]
okay, this is okay. Okay, this is all.
[21:36]
And then everybody followed and I
[21:39]
thought, how did they all pull this off
[21:41]
without my knowing about it? And so it
[21:45]
was I was totally clueless. So, so thank
[21:48]
you so much. I mean, for your comments.
[21:51]
They everybody they they meant so much
[21:54]
to me and just the the whole tribute and
[21:57]
I thought, "Oh boy, this is a prelude to
[22:00]
the when I leave." Actually, I thought,
[22:02]
"Oh my gosh, I'm just going to be crying
[22:05]
and everything." But no, I I I do want
[22:08]
to thank uh especially Jane and Eric and
[22:11]
Jen and Brandy and Ally and Tracy and
[22:16]
all the others who who put so much work
[22:20]
into this event. These events, I mean,
[22:22]
and and they've this has happened
[22:24]
consistently every year. They just they
[22:27]
just get better and better. Everything
[22:29]
is perfect. And then we had our
[22:32]
teleprompterss. So, I don't know if if
[22:35]
we're all ready for prime time, but we
[22:37]
were. Yeah, we we gave it a shot. So, so
[22:42]
>> and just for the record, you got another
[22:43]
eight months.
[22:44]
>> That's true.
[22:44]
>> Oh, yeah. That's right. Thank you. Yeah.
[22:46]
Yes. I'm not going anywhere. Yeah.
[22:50]
Right. Right. It'll be a while, but
[22:52]
thank you.
[22:53]
>> Yeah. And that was a lot of fun. You
[22:55]
know, there was a lot of scheming in the
[22:56]
background to get that video produced
[22:58]
without you knowing and without Jim,
[23:02]
your husband. I mean,
[23:03]
>> that's right. That was it was it was a
[23:06]
lot of fun. A lot of people
[23:07]
>> Oh gosh.
[23:08]
>> enjoyed it and it was a very nice
[23:10]
tribute and very welldeserved tribute
[23:12]
and a lot of fun.
[23:13]
>> Yeah. Then other people kept showing up
[23:16]
and Eve Stratton and then the the
[23:18]
motorcycles.
[23:25]
» Oh gosh. Yeah. Yeah. Great people. Thank
[23:28]
you. Thank you. Thank you.
[23:30]
>> All right, Jen. Uh, we need to do an
[23:32]
executive session.
[23:33]
>> We do. Resolution number 26-301
[23:36]
in the matter of adjourning into
[23:37]
executive session for consideration of
[23:39]
employment and compensation of a public
[23:41]
employee or public official and for
[23:43]
collective bargaining.
[23:44]
>> So move
[23:45]
>> second
[23:46]
>> discussion vote
[23:47]
>> vote on motion 26-301.
[23:51]
Mr. Benton
[23:51]
>> I
[23:52]
>> Mrs. Lewis
[23:53]
>> I.
[23:53]
>> Mr. Leo.
[23:54]
>> Hi.
[23:54]
>> All right, we're now at a detective.
