[7:28] faucets of the city to help promote the city in the best positive way that we

[7:32] can are there any questions on the contract it is the same contract as it

[7:38] has been there is no increase or anything like

[8:34] school resource officer at the Center Street facility and that individual

[8:40] would also uh do walkthroughs or spend a little time at Northside School uh

[8:47] you've had to we voted and approved the the

[8:51] financial aspect of what we're going to build the schools for and what their

[8:56] expenses are but at this time uh we need to install a SRO officer in in that

[9:04] facility and that individual will also need to attend SRO training uh which is

[9:10] which is already scheduled U school will be here before we know

[9:16] it uh are there any questions on a hiring of an SRO

[10:09] and uh this is Daniel Hopper Daniel Hopper is is a uh law enforcement uh he

[10:15] started his law enforcement career in 2009 uh with a as a corrections officer

[10:21] in the W bass County Sheriff's Department in 2012 Daniel graduated

[10:27] Southwestern Illinois police academy and became a deputy sheriff for the same

[10:31] Department uh in 2016 Daniel moved to the Mount carel

[10:36] Police Department where he became their K9 Officer uh in all you know Daniel

[10:41] comes to the Fairfield Police Department with 12 years of law enforcement

[10:45] experience uh he believes in strong Community Support uh participates in

[10:51] terrible events Daniel is married has two children two children um you know

[10:59] you know Daniel is a was was was able to come with us by the lateral

[11:04] transfer uh you know that saves the city some income of having to send somebody

[11:10] to the academy uh you know I think Daniel has met with the school officials

[11:16] uh you know and they gave their approval U you know at this time I would like to

[11:21] welcome Daniel to the city of fairfeld

[11:41] congratulations Chief when will he be attending the SRO training 24

[11:47] 24 look forward to lovely things for that we look forward to you know it's

[11:52] it's kind of one them double sided swords you know it's it's unfortunate

[11:57] that we have to install a police officer GRE School uh but it is happens to be

[12:02] today's world U but I I think you know we've made a positive hire and things

[12:09] will work out amazingly for everybody moving on to item number three

[12:17] uh and again uh this is a purchase of a police department vehicle that's

[12:21] something that the city has done quite frequently as we purchase a vehicle um

[12:28] then we roll one of the existing Patrol that we to the chief wants to retire and

[12:34] that usually goes to another department uh within the city

[12:40] um I don't know the time frame on getting the police vehicle you know

[12:46] sometimes it might take six months sometimes it might take 16 months I know

[12:51] that the city has not approved Appropriations uh but we will be having

[12:56] those Appropriations uh Thurs the meeting

[12:59] Thursday and hopefully we will get the council to approve those Appropriations

[13:03] but I think uh time might be the factor that we um go ahead and

[13:10] authorize um the purchase of the police vehicle it is it will be in his

[13:16] Appropriations um again the city council you know at

[13:21] all the times that we've bid ask for bids we've only got one local business

[13:26] that bids uh and again uh that is lemon's and it will take a super

[13:34] majority of the council uh to purchase that vehicle from lons

[13:41] again I think we need to purchase local when we can it's here the service is

[13:46] here it's just the correct thing to do discussions on purchasing a new vehicle

[13:54] when was the last time we purchased a was it a couple years

[13:57] ago we did

[14:01] we have four in service five already in

[14:07] Department which department will get the rotated I I believe this department will

[14:12] be the airport Department Travis is in need of a new a vehicle uh Street and

[14:17] Bridge has one um gas department has one waste

[14:23] water has one street the garage has currently has one and the fire depart

[14:29] has one again that it's just that it's it's

[14:33] positive for us you know instead of buying two having to maybe buy two

[14:37] vehicles we buy one uh that we can push out and save the city some

[14:45] money discussion are there an available grants for

[14:50] that uh we did apply through the local

[15:06] discussion if none is there a motion to approve the purchase of a new vehicle

[15:11] for the Fairfield Police Department make that

[15:43] planning letter ker CPA is the organization that does the city audit uh

[15:48] they was here two weeks ago I believe and spent a week uh but part of

[15:54] their requirement is that and I'll call it an engagement letter that they kind

[15:59] of give the city an engagement letter uh you know laying out their expectations

[16:05] what they're going to do they follow the requirements for them U and your

[16:13] letter has been included like I say there's nothing to

[16:17] vote on I just want to make you aware that uh we had received this you know

[16:22] that we've received it any

[16:27] questions if not we move on to item number five is is an iecc training

[16:34] agreement um this is probably something new that this year uh through some some

[16:43] lessons learned through some other organizations and with the state of

[16:47] Illinois um you know we need to properly train uh our employees and we need to

[16:54] properly document those trainings uh to keep everybody safe and

[17:00] sound uh we've done we've done some training already uh you know some of

[17:05] those trainings include confined spacing uh entry forklift operations

[17:11] hazardous material uh but it's you know it's something that you know maybe the

[17:16] city fell short on uh in previous years that that the training wasn't done but

[17:22] you know I got when we got notified of some deficiencies U you know we got with

[17:28] FCC they done the training here in City Hall

[17:32] this agreement will they will continue to do that they will have one safety

[17:36] meeting per month and the cost is $250 to the city U

[17:44] again it needs to happen we need to show that we are continuing our

[17:50] education and this needs to

[17:56] happen any questions on the training

[19:49] proceedings for 120 Young Drive uh if you there are pictures included in your

[19:55] packet um you know we've had the chief his department has had discussions uh

[20:01] with the trust company that are the asset

[20:05] management company that holds that property uh Chief has worked with them

[20:11] for you know almost a year in trying to get some movement down there uh they

[20:18] they did do some minor uh minor stuff they they they mow

[20:24] but you know if you take a look at the pictures there there's holes in the

[20:28] roofs it's it's in disarray uh there's a snapshot of the garage uh that's leaning

[20:34] heavily to the west and if it happens to fall it's going to fall on the

[20:38] neighbor's fence um you know I I think this asset

[20:43] management company knows the proceedings that we're getting ready to take and

[20:48] they just asked us to keep them a breast of what's happening is there anything

[20:53] you'd like to add Chief that's correct I've worked with them they made some

[20:57] improvements but nothing

[21:01] structur and again please understand that it's not

[21:07] going to be cleaned up tomorrow there's a process that it has

[21:11] to go uh and you know we'll we'll hopefully get

[21:17] there but the wheels don't turn real fast

[22:24] 54932 which led to a positive cash flow of $$

[22:29] 38,866 for the month uh even though the cash flow from

[22:35] a showed a negative

[22:38] 273,000 the majority of that 255 I believe somewhere close to that

[22:45] was for the paint painting of the water tire out by the college uh that that

[22:51] dollar amount is not to show up as an expense it is a capitalized expenditure

[22:56] so it'll show up in a depreciation schedu payroll for the month of May was

[23:03] 57,8 77 gaming income for the month was

[23:10] 14532 and sales tax income was

[23:18] $7,881 uh the starting balance for May in the general fund was 1, 97,1

[23:26] 133 minus the EXP the balance today or at the end of the month was

[23:32] 1,633 26143 again please remember that there

[23:42] 18126 set in an interest bearing CD um you know so we're off to a

[23:49] positive start you know we hope that the city can continue to make those U

[23:54] positive months but realizing sometimes it doesn't always work out that way are
