[0:00]
Just that everybody's information we are being recorded.
[0:06]
Any member who wishes to record a meeting must first notify the chair and comply with reasonable requirements regarding audio and video equipment.
[0:13]
Established by the chair, so not to interfere with the meeting. The chair is required to inform other attendees of such recordings at the beginning of the meeting, so consider yourself informed.
[0:22]
If someone arrives after the meeting has begun and wishes to record a meeting, the person shall attempt to notify the chair.
[0:28]
Prior to beginning recording, ideally in a man that does not significantly disrupt the meeting in progress, such as passing a note for the chair to the Board Administrator or Secretary.
[0:38]
The chair should endeavor to acknowledge such attempts at notification and announce the fact of any recording to those in attendance.
[0:45]
So, we've covered the law.
[0:47]
Okay, welcome. Nice to see a few faces here.
[0:51]
Don't let you know that face.
[0:53]
Your face.
[0:54]
Yeah, you're turning around.
[1:05]
Okay,
[1:11]
so what we're going to do tonight is we're going to go over some of the priorities because there have been some changes made, but first off the most important thing is the deadline date.
[1:22]
So if anybody has any questions, it's October 15th, and Midnight, October 15th, and for
[1:30]
those of you who have written grants before, the computer shuts off, shuts you off,
[1:37]
it exactly midnight.
[1:38]
Not at 12.01, not at 12.02, not at 11.59, but exactly at midnight.
[1:45]
So don't be a procrastinate to get your applications in and done by Midnight, on October
[1:50]
15th because they will and there's nothing we can do about it. I mean if you call me the next morning and say oh my god
[1:56]
My computer died in the middle of this and what do I do?
[2:00]
We can't do anything
[2:02]
So I'm sadly to say
[2:04]
So just make sure that your applications are in an a timely fashion
[2:09]
Okay, so the first one first priority and then we're copies out on the table
[2:13]
I don't know if everybody managed and I'm just going to go through them and you can stop me if you have any questions
[2:17]
organizations, all performances by professional artists, humanists, and cultural organizations
[2:22]
must take place in the city of Fall River, or reflect a collaborative partnership within
[2:27]
the great of Fall River area with a significant benefits to our citizens, the citizens of
[2:32]
Fall River.
[2:33]
Preference will be given to Fall River based artists, humanists, and cultural organizations.
[2:38]
Everybody, okay with that one?
[2:41]
Individual artists and humanists who reside or work in Fall River may undertake either a systematic
[2:45]
activity leading to the enhancement of their skills or a specific project in their discipline.
[2:52]
The full of a cultural council is particularly interested in projects that will enhance the
[2:57]
visibility of art and culture in the full of a community. Audis are required to submit a
[3:02]
approximation of dimensions and relative design of their artistic work, along with a complete list
[3:08]
of supplies, cost of materials and the location of their project to be approved by the cultural
[3:13]
Council. The project must be made available to the Fall River Cultural Council for viewing.
[3:18]
Audits work must be available to the citizens of Fall River.
[3:23]
If you're going to do anything like a mural on a building, besides having our approval,
[3:29]
you need to have the approval of the building owner.
[3:33]
So I know there are several questions that come about come up about mural.
[3:38]
So we have to have the approval of the owner of the building.
[3:43]
And please get that in writing for us and submit it with your application.
[3:47]
Or if it's a municipality like a library, can you join a mural as well?
[3:52]
You have to get it from the director of the library.
[3:54]
Thank you.
[3:55]
All the school department.
[3:57]
We did have one.
[3:58]
A couple of years ago, they wanted to do a mural on one of the school buildings.
[4:02]
Actually, it wasn't a mural, it was a sculpture.
[4:04]
and we had to have the approval of the Director of Arts for the City of Florida for the school
[4:13]
department. Professional about artists of high caliber may be brought to the city as guests artists
[4:18]
or artists and residents in order to broaden appreciation for the arts by the local population.
[4:24]
Number four collaborative efforts among cultural organizations in artists with broad community involvement are encouraged.
[4:32]
Cultural organizations may request funds for a capital expenditure to ensure their continued
[4:37]
vitality. Such special needs shall be of a non-recurring nature and must must have matching
[4:42]
funds. So if you own a building and you need a new roof, in order to put that new roof
[4:50]
fund, we can only pay once for a capital expenditure and you have to have matching funds.
[4:57]
So if we give you $10,000, somebody else has to be giving you $10,000 as well, you can find
[5:04]
a room.
[5:05]
And if we have $10,000 to begin with, right, attendance at the workshop is strongly
[5:14]
encouraged to all applicants, especially first time applicants.
[5:18]
The person who will actually be writing the application should be the person who attends
[5:21]
the workshop.
[5:22]
Well, thank you for being here.
[5:25]
The folder of a cultural council does not fund transportation rent lodging on meals.
[5:31]
I just want to say something about rent because if you're an individual artist in your renting
[5:35]
studio space, when you do your budget, please include your rent as part of your budget.
[5:41]
We can't pay your rent, but we can give you a stipend based on the fact that you're paying rent.
[5:47]
We can look at your whole budget, your budget page has to include your rent.
[5:51]
Okay. Any questions so far?
[5:58]
If you were bringing in somebody to do a performance, we cannot pay for them their transportation here.
[6:06]
We can pay the fee that they're charging to do the performance, but we can't.
[6:13]
In this city for performance and see you
[6:19]
down.
[6:19]
That one?
[6:19]
I believe so.
[6:21]
I think we can do that.
[6:23]
You can do that as long as there's no problem.
[6:25]
Yeah, there's a whole liability and there's individuals that are within that, say, for instance, you don't have a van and you have two seats in that van in the front and there are four people in the back of that van holding down a book, but that's not acceptable.
[6:42]
Can you elaborate on bringing up some of the high caliber to the city?
[6:47]
So I just had an event and I brought some of the high caliber to the city, is there like a wording?
[6:54]
Collaboration, you have to have signed signatures by the Collaborative Collaborative Collaborative.
[6:58]
Yeah, they agreed to come and, you know, how much they're charging you to come to, you know, for your event, but absolutely we can pay for something like that.
[7:09]
And if I might add, in addition, any time you do in the Collaboration with another artist musician so far, make sure that you're including something about them as well.
[7:20]
you know, they should have some sort of portfolio or video.
[7:23]
Yeah, you can submit videos of prior music or events that you did do.
[7:30]
All right. All right.
[7:30]
ZET answer everything?
[7:31]
Sorry.
[7:32]
And a signed commitment.
[7:34]
Yes.
[7:35]
Attestie application.
[7:36]
A signed commitment from the eyes.
[7:38]
If you are bringing in, I'm gonna say John, ten, but he's past away.
[7:45]
If he ends up being a...
[7:48]
A legal appointment.
[7:50]
A legal appointment.
[7:51]
And you need a signed commitment.
[7:55]
It needs to be attached in your heart.
[7:57]
As a legal appointment.
[7:59]
Right, right, exactly.
[8:01]
Exactly. And there is a place for supplemental material that you can put in online.
[8:06]
Anybody else have any questions? Good question. So, that's why you're here.
[8:11]
That's why you're here because it's much easier than picking up the phone later on and trying to call
[8:15]
Debbie or myself on the phone or anybody else. So, I think those are those are great questions to have.
[8:21]
So, as far as our local guidelines are concerned, all mass cultural guidelines and fall
[8:28]
over a cultural guidelines, oh, I am in trouble speaking tonight, and Procedures must
[8:33]
be followed, and you can find the mass cultural guidelines on their website, and if you
[8:39]
have the handout, it's printed on the handout.
[8:43]
It's also with your application page.
[8:45]
The projects must take place between December 1st of 2026 and December 31st of 2027.
[8:53]
That's been a change the last few years.
[8:57]
It doesn't guarantee that you're going to get the money.
[8:59]
So if you're going to do something in December, if you're going to do a Christmas show, then one of the things you
[9:04]
have to think about is, can I do this Christmas show without money from the cultural council?
[9:09]
because we can't guarantee that you're going to get your money because we don't see your
[9:17]
applications until probably the beginning of November by the time the state sends them
[9:21]
to us.
[9:22]
So we don't even meet on those applications until sometime in November.
[9:28]
So we can't say, oh yeah, we're going to give you $5,000 or whatever, you know, whatever
[9:33]
we think we're going to be giving you.
[9:35]
I'm getting generous tonight.
[9:37]
Indeed.
[9:38]
But I think that's one of the things when it says from December 1st because we don't and then we have to
[9:44]
What happens with the grants is we approve the grants or we don't approve some grants.
[9:51]
If we don't approve your grant, you have the right to appeal and it goes has to go to the state and then we have to reconvene.
[9:59]
So what happens is the state wants us to spend every single penny which we do.
[10:05]
We will spend every single penny, but now if I gave somebody, if I gave him
[10:11]
$10,000 and now you win your appeal and you want 5,000
[10:17]
We might only give you two or 3,000, but I have to take something away from him
[10:22]
So we can't our guarantees are not our amounts are not guaranteed even if you, you know
[10:28]
We're here when we were doing the discussion our amounts are not guaranteed until you actually get a letter
[10:34]
from Debbie that says your grant is for this amount, so because and it's very, very difficult
[10:43]
for us because we wish we could give everybody money but unfortunately we have a lot
[10:49]
of money now then we did probably nine to ten years ago.
[10:53]
Pardon?
[10:54]
That's fine.
[10:57]
They have to be done by the end of January.
[11:01]
So if you're doing a project in December or January, you might not.
[11:05]
Yeah, I'm not concerned about this young.
[11:07]
I'm mine.
[11:07]
You're going forward.
[11:08]
OK.
[11:09]
I was just wondering what the timelines are.
[11:11]
Yeah.
[11:11]
5 January.
[11:12]
By the time we approve it, if we have a reconsideration or not,
[11:16]
and there's a certain guidelines that only if you can,
[11:19]
for reconsideration, you have to follow the state's guidelines
[11:22]
and apply to the state's framework.
[11:25]
Yeah.
[11:26]
But then once they have another meeting, if we have to,
[11:32]
But then once they're done meeting I have to input everything to the state and then I have to wait for an okay from the state.
[11:40]
So it's usually usually by mid January, but it could be by the end of the year.
[11:47]
You won't hear until the end of the year.
[11:51]
Okay, number three.
[11:54]
And this is new. This year applicants may only submit one application.
[11:59]
And this is a change because we want to give as much money to as many people as we possibly can.
[12:05]
A few years ago, especially during COVID, we had a little bit more money and we had a few applicants.
[12:13]
So we were able to give some people who are putting in two applications for two different grants and we were able to satisfy them.
[12:21]
Unfortunately, we don't have endless supply of money, but so we've decided we were only going
[12:29]
to have everybody submit just one application in order to be able to spread the well so to speak.
[12:35]
Organizations must have been established for at least one year in the type of activity for
[12:39]
which funds are requested. Documentation must be provided. So if you started a dance studio and you just
[12:47]
it in September. We need, you're going to have to wait till next year because you need to be in business
[12:54]
for at least a year. If you're, do you have a question? No, okay. You've been around for a long
[13:02]
enough. I actually have a question. So my, I actually acquired my DBA recently, but I've been in business
[13:12]
And since 2020, I'm in a group of address, I'm actually right across the street, is that the same?
[13:19]
Yes, yes.
[13:20]
You've been doing that work.
[13:21]
You've been doing that work.
[13:23]
Okay.
[13:24]
You're not doing this.
[13:26]
If you were a, I'm going to say, a, I'll say, an individual artist, an individual artist,
[13:37]
and all of a sudden you decide you're going to put on a, I think,
[13:42]
I think you've never done it before.
[13:45]
You've never done it before.
[13:45]
You've never done it before.
[13:46]
You have to have to have been doing that particular thing one year.
[13:50]
No problem.
[13:53]
Okay, number five, the venue and proposed dates within a 60 day time frame for the project
[13:58]
must be clearly stated.
[14:00]
And written confirmation and permits,
[14:02]
or permits from the venue must be attached.
[14:05]
So a lot of times we get applications that say,
[14:08]
I'm going to do this sometime in 2027, and I think I'm going to do it at BCC.
[14:14]
That doesn't fly.
[14:16]
We've got to have a specific date, not well, I shouldn't say a specific, because we know
[14:21]
things happen, you know, if you had an outside event planned for this weekend, I think
[14:27]
you might be canceling it.
[14:29]
So those are the things that we know that happens.
[14:32]
We've had that happen with snowstorms.
[14:34]
we've had that happen with other things. Sometimes, you know, you can't get, you think you
[14:39]
can get a certain venue and you can't. But you need a letter from the venue. If you're
[14:44]
going to do something at Bristol Community College, if you're going to do something at
[14:48]
Dürfi High School, if you're going to do something at Cust Middle School, I think those
[14:52]
are pretty much the places that a lot of people use. Sometimes, carol groups will use a church.
[14:58]
we need confirmation from
[15:00]
And the church are the venues that you're planning on using.
[15:06]
Applications for projects involving collaborative efforts among more than one artist or cultural organization must identify a single person who has overall responsibility of the project.
[15:17]
That person may be an artist, the director of the organization, et cetera.
[15:21]
So if you have a group of you that are running, please put the contact person, the person who's going to be dealing mostly with the grant.
[15:30]
Okay, so that when we have, if we have questions, we know who we can get in touch with.
[15:36]
For instance, also, if you're doing like an exhibition and you are hiring a musician to play during that exhibition,
[15:43]
some folk music or whatever it is, and you want to include that, make sure all of that is in your budget as well,
[15:50]
and establish that who they are and so forth.
[15:54]
Written confirmation from the collaborating artists and organizations must be attached and we
[15:59]
I think we covered that.
[16:01]
All applicants who are proposing programs in any fall rubber school, public or private must
[16:07]
first receive written approval from either the director of fine and performing arts of the
[16:11]
fall rubber school system or the principal of the school.
[16:14]
Approval must be attached to the application.
[16:17]
So if you're going to do something with conjunction with the school in a school setting, we need either
[16:23]
principles approval, or we need the director of fine and performing arts.
[16:30]
A detailed budget
[16:31]
of the proposed project should include material expenses, tuition, rental, printing
[16:35]
cost, anticipated revenues, et cetera. If the project is art for a public site, a sign
[16:41]
value to the work and detailed framing or installation cost. So if you're going to do a large
[16:46]
project, what's it going to cost you to install? I know they didn't do it through us, but that
[16:52]
on across from the cold restaurant, you know, she had a lot of expense, she had a lot of
[16:59]
expense, you know, her life, like you were saying before, trying to get her a lot is there
[17:03]
and all the equipment that she needed to get there. So put all that down in your budget page,
[17:08]
not just, you know, it's, well, I'm going to do the mural and this is what it's going to
[17:11]
cost me for paint. We want to see your whole budget because it's going to make a difference.
[17:16]
If we're looking at something that's that massive, it will make a difference.
[17:20]
in regards to you also saying that you might render you more, so that would be in your budget.
[17:28]
First, time applicants goes back to what we were talking about.
[17:31]
Describe their relevant experience, their resume portfolio, etc. as it pertains to their project.
[17:37]
And again, it goes back to what Debbie was saying.
[17:39]
If all of a sudden, you know, you were a musician, and now you all of a sudden you want to do a dance program,
[17:43]
or you want to do a not program, then we need to know your background.
[17:49]
The fall of a cultural council retains a perpetual right to reproduce, display a photograph
[17:54]
within the legal rights of the grantee and events and projects within social media, etc.
[18:01]
We now have a very active web page, thanks to Nelson Riga O'Hill, who has done a tremendous
[18:07]
Facebook page.
[18:09]
Facebook page.
[18:09]
What's I say?
[18:10]
You said web page.
[18:11]
Facebook page.
[18:14]
He's done a great job, advertising, and he will advertise.
[18:18]
If you have any events that we've sponsored that we've given you money for, we'll gladly
[18:22]
advertise on our Facebook page, so you know, you can get in touch with one of us, and Nelson's
[18:28]
done a great job the past month, and I think you've had something on the Facebook page just
[18:33]
about every day this week.
[18:35]
So, thank you for that, Nelson.
[18:38]
Number 13, and I'm going to refer this one to Nathan to explain.
[18:42]
And the use of generative AI must be explained in the application.
[18:47]
Generative AI shall not be used in the final project or in any promotional materials related
[18:52]
to the project.
[18:53]
And because I'm a lot older, and I'm not as familiar with AI, I'm going to let our young
[18:58]
guest member.
[19:01]
I'm not really sure how to exploit it more than that.
[19:04]
Does anyone have any questions about it?
[19:06]
specifically like chatGPT, Claude, any of those LLMs that generate text or images, we're
[19:14]
looking to have explained in the application and prohibiting the use of in the final product
[19:21]
or the promotional materials of that product.
[19:25]
So that means I have a question because I had to step up for this.
[19:29]
So in regards to that, there perhaps may be a musician who's hiring the marketing agent,
[19:36]
locking the agent uses AI to make his flyers, because it's not within his realm house.
[19:45]
Is that going to be acceptable?
[19:47]
I think in my opinion, I'm not speaking against the client.
[19:51]
So establishing this because I have an conversation with...
[19:55]
Not to be given for us, yeah.
[19:56]
Because I wasn't present.
[19:58]
However, I did have a question in regards to mocking materials.
[20:01]
Because sometimes we hire other individuals to do our website.
[20:05]
Other individuals to do our flyers.
[20:08]
They may use AI.
[20:11]
Oh, I agree.
[20:12]
I agree, but I agree, but they may.
[20:15]
I agree.
[20:16]
I agree.
[20:16]
Can I make a point?
[20:18]
I think like if you are receiving money through the cultural council and these rules are put up
[20:25]
in front of you you are knowledgeable to them in that business relationship that you are making with
[20:30]
an agent to do marketing or other materials it should be made clear that this cannot you know that kind of
[20:38]
AI or LOM cannot be used in the product the final product. I think that just means you have to
[20:45]
work that into the business relationship or find somebody who can accommodate that.
[20:52]
And especially since we've seen an increase in using AR2 creating suppliers that all look the same.
[20:59]
And we've read you find someone who can work locally like an artist, so rather the design that can help you create the
[21:08]
That's one of the expenses that you can put in your budget that I need someone to help me with marketing, someone local, create,
[21:15]
flyers, broadshores for my event.
[21:18]
Everybody, you need someone like that versus the computer.
[21:22]
Right, and so if you're putting it into your budget line and you're saying ABC marketing company is doing my marketing,
[21:31]
Then it really is a shame on them for using AI and not divulging it to their client, you, that they're using AI for their own purposes.
[21:44]
They need to divulge that realistically to their client, and then their client can therefore let us know, which is what we're trying to say, that you're being explained.
[21:55]
So it should be explained to you as the client that they are using AI and that way you can make the decision
[22:03]
No, I would rather use a local artist who's actually going to use their creative skill as opposed to using AI generative
[22:12]
products
[22:13]
so
[22:15]
Yeah, so the marketer is really the one that needs to be explaining that to their clients
[22:24]
So we create our own poses, our flyers, and we don't ask for any marketing money.
[22:30]
And we use AI to help us, like, cooperate with a title of what our agenda is going to be, and we're going to ask for any marketing funds from the council. Right.
[22:42]
I, you're, you're talking to a teacher who's going to tell you never ever.
[22:49]
And as a person who happens to love the environment, I would also say, please don't use AI as it's killing our water supply.
[23:00]
I'd say to the, you know, there's two sentences in on 13, the first is explain any use of AI in your application.
[23:09]
and so if it's being used to generate ideas or part of the process of creating the final project,
[23:15]
I think there is reasonable use. Personally, I'm not completely anti-AI,
[23:26]
but that should be explained
[23:28]
in application. And I think really what we're looking at is the final product,
[23:38]
the final product
[23:38]
They have art piece of art.
[23:40]
The piece of art.
[23:41]
Yeah exactly.
[23:43]
I'm not talking about that.
[23:45]
Yeah.
[23:45]
Look where we're at the end.
[23:46]
We don't.
[23:47]
We do performances.
[23:49]
I'm a band.
[23:49]
I do performances.
[23:50]
I've never used that.
[23:52]
But I'm just talking about using AI to develop like anyone who a Christmas theme concert.
[23:58]
What are some ideas?
[23:59]
Oh, that's, I think that's.
[24:01]
So this is, this is in regards to my question and my statement is it because I wasn't present.
[24:07]
when you're stating that you're using it for flyers, for instance, like I said, I'm a musician, okay?
[24:17]
My wheelhouse is not doing marketing or advertising,
[24:23]
and it may be that I go to somebody who is affordable to me because I might not have the monetary appreciation
[24:38]
to invest in a large-based company who's going to cost a lot of money.
[24:43]
So, therefore, I go to someone else who might be local, who might be using a little bit of AI.
[24:51]
Is that going to be acceptable if it sits on the table?
[24:52]
Yeah, my face should be explaining it to you and you should explain it to us.
[24:56]
Since it's a rule, people in this room and anyone applying to a grant should be knowledgeable
[25:01]
that you have to follow the guidelines and the rules of applying, you should be up front
[25:08]
with whoever you are bringing on to do marketing or other sorts of aspects of your project
[25:14]
that these are the rules. And, you know, not even just this rule, but any of the other rules
[25:19]
that might apply to that relationship. So, I think that is on the artist or person applying
[25:24]
to make sure that they are accurately describing to any person involved what needs to be followed.
[25:31]
Now some individuals may not be aware that Gemini also uses AI backgrounds so even if you use
[25:42]
in Gemini which that was not worded anywhere and I took note of that that it's not mentioned.
[25:48]
What do you mean Gemini?
[25:50]
So like the good boy.
[25:51]
Oh Gemini?
[25:52]
It's a generative.
[25:54]
Some people when they look up Gemini they distinguish it differently from AI is what I'm saying.
[26:00]
So an individual might not know the difference.
[26:03]
It does say, Gemini AI, right?
[26:05]
I'm the title.
[26:07]
I see what your point, if somebody is in clear what AI is.
[26:13]
But I think at some point, like it's laid out,
[26:16]
it's pretty understood.
[26:19]
I hope, hopefully, that way.
[26:20]
You can ask AI what AI is.
[26:22]
It will come in.
[26:23]
Yeah, you can Google it and Gemini the AI will say.
[26:27]
But I'm aware of the my just a three that other people may not have been I is the same as they are
[26:34]
I do want to get back to your point because I understand as someone who has to design my own posters
[26:39]
How they can get frustrating and creating a cool catch phrase of people I get that if you're using it as a thought process
[26:48]
let's set out some ways to get a really cool title. That's part of the process. Tell us you
[26:57]
did that and then tell us what your final human Korean collaboration is with AI at the end.
[27:07]
And there's a lot of resources that you can reach out to help you with your marketing.
[27:11]
You can contact the high school's,
[27:15]
thirsty, dying, and they are perfect design,
[27:17]
students there.
[27:18]
So in a lot of times, they'll work
[27:20]
with localizations and businesses.
[27:23]
So there's a lot of different resources.
[27:25]
I have great extracurricular projects too,
[27:27]
so they love that kind of stuff.
[27:31]
Anybody else have any questions?
[27:34]
Debbie and I are sitting here, like,
[27:35]
what are they talking about?
[27:37]
Because we're the old people here.
[27:38]
Anyway.
[27:39]
The Gemini Gemini is the AI.
[27:41]
I have, I have use, I have use day-eye, but not very often.
[27:48]
Organizations must show proof that the full of a cultural council is not the sole source
[27:52]
of funding for this project, so we cannot 100% support your project.
[27:59]
Somebody else has to be, whether it's selling tickets, whether it's asking for donations,
[28:04]
If you have a dance program, or you have a program where you're teaching young artists to perform,
[28:13]
you could, and you're charging them, you could include that as support for funding.
[28:20]
Projects.
[28:21]
I continue individual artists.
[28:24]
We can't be the sole funder, but you're also what you need to put in your budget.
[28:28]
You're paying your rent, your paying your utilities, your paying.
[28:32]
You put in your own in-kind service, the extra hours that you put in, put that in your budget.
[28:41]
Just to clarify, do the 14 is specifically for organizations, right?
[28:46]
Yes.
[28:48]
We're on the same page, but just to be sure it's clear.
[28:53]
Okay.
[28:53]
The last one is projects must be completed in full before requesting reimbursement.
[28:59]
So if you've only done half of your project and you know, you've got plans to complete it within the next six months
[29:06]
We're not paying you half way. Well, I'm running out of money and I need the rest I need some of my money
[29:12]
We will only it's a real headache for Debbie to try to book keep all this people coming in on a monthly basis and I you know
[29:19]
Well, I've done this much this month. So we don't break it up into 12 month payments
[29:24]
We're not a credit union. We're not a lending loan company
[29:29]
But so your project must be complete so we don't give you the money ahead of time
[29:34]
We give it to you at the end of your project and we have to have all the receipts
[29:39]
Do you want to talk about what what you need I I just I don't need all of your receipts if
[29:47]
If your project cost you $10,000, let's say and we've given you two I
[29:54]
need the receipts that add up to $2,000
[29:57]
Okay.
[30:00]
I don't need, I don't need beyond that. If we've specifically, and I'm going to throw this out there, I don't think I have any theatre people here, so we'll use theatre.
[30:11]
Oh, I'm sorry. I apologize though. Sorry, Tom. Well, I'm going to use theatre anyway.
[30:19]
We have put a restriction on a grant which we've done in the past, so I'll use this one that we will only pay for royalties.
[30:28]
We only need to receive for the world, we don't need to be able to receive it.
[30:33]
Okay, so if we're, if you're a sculptor and we're only paying for the clay,
[30:38]
we're not paying for the casting, we're not paying for the direct whatever you
[30:43]
play with or whatever, we're only paying.
[30:45]
So, in other words, if we put a restructure, we have a put a restructure,
[30:49]
we just need, I just need the seats up to the amount, that's that.
[30:55]
Okay, and it's that it's completed.
[30:58]
I also, I request some kind of, I just need one, something where either a page out of
[31:07]
your playbook that shows that we've been acknowledged, play a picture of your posted.
[31:14]
Don't say, don't not waste your time, or money, sending anything by snail mail so before
[31:21]
So, someone said me something the first week of September, that was the post-muff, I received it today.
[31:30]
So, nothing, don't waste your money doing a stand-up in any way, every day.
[31:37]
And we should be putting, if you have a program or any kind of fire, our logo should, and it's on the website, our logo should be there, or you know.
[31:47]
I was going to add something else when you receive your acceptance letter comes in three pages and tells you what you've gotten the money you've gotten then it tells you what the publicity requirements are on page 2 and please keep page 3 that's how you get reimbursed and all your instructions that they can't tell you how many people get letter and all they keep is the cover page say how much keep that third page because that's how you get your money back
[32:16]
Generally, whenever I'm posting something on social media, if you don't even, if you don't
[32:22]
have access in your making a quick one, just tag it, you know, at fall or if a cultural
[32:28]
console, tag vastures as culture content, we are a division of the vastures as culture
[32:33]
content.
[32:33]
It's nice to give both of them, you know, affirmation.
[32:37]
Well, the specific guidelines that the state puts out of what needs to be done, right?
[32:43]
And that's all on the website.
[32:47]
If you go to the foreign cultural council page one of the first things
[32:49]
it does is tell you about the reinvestment,
[32:53]
the foreign page on the national council site.
[32:56]
And I have to tell you when I go to anything that we've sponsored
[32:59]
that we've paid for, the first thing I look for is to see if we've been acknowledged.
[33:04]
It's just in my nature.
[33:07]
One of the last things I went to,
[33:09]
when I went to a specific concert in the city, I walked in and the first thing when I walked in to
[33:15]
deliver theater upon the Fendi's Mass, is the Mass Cultural Council Mobile. Thank you very much,
[33:21]
good job. Yeah, it was up in the screen and it's nicely. Nice. Good. Good. We like to see that kind of stuff.
[33:28]
Is anybody here from any school department, because we have a set of guidelines specifically
[33:35]
for geared towards field trips for schools, but I don't want to waste anybody's time if
[33:39]
What's your situation on the video?
[33:41]
Okay, that's a good idea.
[33:43]
First of all, field trip.
[33:45]
Only schools located in Fall River may apply.
[33:48]
The venue program in date must be clearly stated.
[33:51]
The only change that is allowed is a change in the date to snow days.
[33:55]
I'm mandatory state testing.
[33:57]
Any other change needs prior permission from the cultural council.
[34:00]
The Fall River Cultural Council will award up to a maximum of $15 of the admission price.
[34:06]
The full of a cultural council will find only one field trip application for one grade level
[34:12]
per school.
[34:13]
For exception, small schools may combine different grade levels to film maximum of one bus.
[34:20]
The full of a cultural council does not pay for transportation costs or shaperone tickets.
[34:25]
The name of the school should be listed as part of the applicant's name.
[34:29]
So if the principal's applying, then we need the principal's name, but we also need the school's name
[34:33]
because we don't know who some of these people are.
[34:37]
But just to go back to the one application,
[34:40]
we will only find one application for a school.
[34:44]
And it should be one grade level, unless you're
[34:46]
a small school, and I know some of your charter schools
[34:48]
at one time had very small classrooms.
[34:51]
And we would public schools may have some small classrooms.
[34:57]
But if you do have, we will pay for more than one classroom
[35:00]
if it's to fill a bus.
[35:03]
and we don't pay for the bus.
[35:06]
Anybody have any questions about anything?
[35:14]
That's it.
[35:14]
Thank you all for coming.
[35:16]
Any questions recommendations?
[35:18]
This is also supposed to be a community input.
[35:22]
Any recommendations?
[35:27]
Thank you all for coming.
[35:28]
It was nice to see everybody.
[35:30]
No, we never do.
[35:32]
We never do.
[35:33]
No, we never do.
[35:34]
We never have recommendations.
[35:36]
Thank you.
[35:36]
Good luck with your grants.
[35:37]
But don't forget, October 15th at midnight.
