[2:44] of us living up here come to all the town's meetings.

[2:48] I would like to talk about the community round table. It was proposed back in

[2:53] January as a way for residents and town officials to actually work together.

[2:58] Eight months later, there's still no members, no criteria, and no start date.

[3:04] That is a substantial amount of time for something the town called a priority. At

[3:10] the last meeting, Christine asked a fair question, whether outreach has gone

[3:14] beyond Facebook. The answer was vague. Nathan, you said you expected 30 to 40

[3:19] applications, but only got about seven. This does not match with what I'm

[3:23] hearing. I know people, some of them very involved in this town, will want to

[3:28] serve and help find a way to make Fsburg better. What concerns me is how that

[3:34] shortfall was explained. You said you were ensure everybody who applied was a

[3:39] suitable candidate and described some of them as having personal personalities

[3:44] that don't mesh with others and as very opinionated. These are your

[3:49] [clears throat] neighbors who wish to volunteer their time for this town.

[3:53] Dismissing concerned citizens in this manner in public based on your own

[3:57] personal judgment with no standards anyone knew of ahead of time shouldn't

[4:01] sit well with any of the town's residents. and and excuse me, an elected

[4:06] official should not disparage the people he serves. I would also like this round

[4:11] table to actually look like the town is supposed to represent reflecting the

[4:15] full range of communities and viewpoints that make up false. So everyone has a

[4:19] real seat at the table. If suitability is being decided by one person with no

[4:24] criteria anyone can point to, it's fair to ask whether that standard ends up

[4:29] leaving people out. This town deserves a round table that's real and open to

[4:33] everyone who lives here. Thank you. >> Thank you.

[5:26] grandparents spend time with the grandchildren. Every summer we see the

[5:30] Jewish family filling the streets, the stores, the synagogues, the camp, the

[5:33] neighborhoods and and children playing around together enjoying a peaceful

[5:38] summer. All behind this is the town and work very hard make everything

[5:41] functional. So what I recognize that tonight you know that having such a live

[5:46] community here during the summer summer summer [snorts] months with many

[5:49] challenges with our on schedule holiday school and

[5:53] camps our way of life what means so much to us the town work with us you don't

[5:58] have to understand everything about our community

[6:02] but we feel it and we respect it I would like also to say something about

[6:08] the water that the town came out and and dealt with it and we feel about our our

[6:15] end that the town did the right thing to it. Um so tonight I want to say thank

[6:20] you for the town board for the leadership. Thank you for your patience.

[6:23] Thank you for listening to our concerns. Thank you for answering our phone calls

[6:27] and thank you for working with our community.

[6:31] And I would like to thank you also the police officers and the town secretaries

[6:35] and the towns and everybody's involved behind spending hours of hours when

[6:40] nobody even sees that they're sitting at home and working from home and and

[6:45] trying to make everything peaceful for the entire town. Thank you for your

[6:48] friendship. Thank you for your partnership. Thank Thank you for

[8:53] which will be our school tax roles. So our assessment role that ends in July or

[8:59] actually begins in July is actually what creates four school tax roles. We have

[9:03] Monty Tri Valley and Bford Bford of course being the biggest one but it's

[9:08] our it's our information that goes to them that creates their tax bills for

[9:11] the parcels that are in the township for another time. Uh one thing that

[9:18] everybody and the public is uh exemptions. So if you are a new owner

[9:24] star exemption enhanced exemption you need to call New York State. Do not call

[9:28] the office. We cannot do it anymore. It is all New York state driven. There are

[9:32] many many letters that are going out to our seniors. Please, if you're confused,

[9:36] come into the office. We'll help you with it. Uh the state is just confirming

[9:40] income, confirming just everything. They're just they just

[9:45] want to make sure they have the information right, but a lot of people

[9:48] get concerned. Come in the office. We'll help you with that. Um,

[9:54] with the summer being over, Wesley, our data collector, will now go out and, um,

[10:01] collect any improvements that have been done in any of the condo developments,

[10:04] any private housing. Uh, at this point, I already have seven foregoing acts of

[10:09] assessed value to do for 2027. >> How will we do that?

[10:19] So what he had well we have it's it's more percentage of completion out of

[10:22] anything. So we have permits that we get from the department. So all the permits

[10:27] that building department processes all goes to one person and that is Wesley.

[10:31] Wesley has to go out to every single one of those properties and he will get the

[10:37] update. So measurements, pictures, percentage completion. Um

[10:41] » does he does he see anything else when we use that?

[10:44] » Sometimes he does. Yep. If he sees anything that we don't have a permit

[10:46] for, he's not sure he'll come back. he'll check and then we share the

[10:50] information between departments. Um, and it's vice versa too if something's going

[10:54] on that the building department finds that we don't have. And so we we work

[10:59] hand in hand. It's very important uh that we have good relationship between

[11:02] the two offices. Um, my staffing right now is good. We have

[11:08] Olivia in the office kind of filling in where Dallas was. Dallas left detailed

[11:14] instructions on all her excels. Dallas has all the excels of every permit in

[11:18] the town and she's the one who keeps track of that to keep Wesley on track to

[11:22] make sure he gets out and he's able to look at everything that needs to be done

[11:25] by March 1st. So our deadline is March 1st of 2027 and March 1st is around the

[11:30] corner for us. Time goes by very quickly, especially with the amount of

[11:34] information that we have to process. So Olivia fit right in. She's got building

[11:39] department knowledge of course now she's knows what we do. So she's just right in

[11:44] there and she's just taking off with it which is great because without that we

[11:49] kind of flounder a little bit because hard to keep all that data straight

[11:53] between just the three of us there and Wesley's my eyes without Wesley I don't

[11:58] know what's going on out in the field just you know too big

[12:02] uh the lists. So Wesley did update these lists. Um

[12:08] it's pretty self-explanatory. We pretty much go through this every time we have

[12:12] a meeting. Uh the open permits again that number there in there that is fluid

[12:18] that is constantly going to change depending on what permits being closed

[12:22] out when new permits being gotten. So please when you look at these just

[12:25] realize that it is constantly moving. Uh Village Woodidge same thing um in and

[12:32] out in and outs get closed out new permits get get and we have to go to the

[12:36] village of Woodidge to get most of our information. They'll email us and

[12:40] things, but for the most part, any big maps or anything, Wesley has to go down

[12:43] and get them so he we can make uh copies of all of that. So, Woodridge is also

[12:48] constantly moving. Decount that never changes. We're always quite high with

[12:53] the deeds. Uh upcoming development. So, we kind of

[12:57] changed this around a little bit. Wesley updated anything if it's in planning.

[13:02] and he's going into the uh building department system and looking to see

[13:06] where all these developments are. So we've got you'll see planning well

[13:11] permit timber harvesting. So that's kind of giving you an idea

[13:16] are at the ones that are upcoming. Two pages of those at the bottom of that

[13:23] second page just a reminder that is our percentage of completion.

[13:27] what we uh when we do our assessed value based on percentages where everything is

[13:33] and then current development projects some of these are at 100% they probably

[13:39] will be coming off once Wesley goes and just make sure everything is set once a

[13:43] development is 100% complete it's done and then we just do individual permits

[13:49] decks basement whatever they may be doing that just gets added on so that I

[13:55] can do it

[14:08] and if it was proposed 100 units, he's seeing how many were done and

[14:51] condo. That that's in that declaration, your offering plan, how much you're

[14:55] going to offer these condos for on the market. All of that is in there, and

[14:58] that is very important for the AG because they're going to approve that

[15:00] development. I have to do a letter for the AG, give an estimate of taxes. So,

[15:04] that's all a package that goes. Once they once they approve that, that whole

[15:09] thing goes to Chris now at the county. He's really the nuts and bolts to close

[15:12] it together. He's going to do the maps. He's going to do the SPL numbers. And if

[15:17] anything changes in the beginning stages of the condo, he needs to know. So if

[15:23] they say they're going to have four bedrooms and all of a sudden now there's

[15:26] six bedrooms or we have to let him know that because

[15:29] » we know. >> So that is going out and and visually

[15:33] seeing as >> that can't go in.

[15:35] » No. So some of them they can see this is where we now with the building

[15:38] department we lean on them on that because they can go in because they have

[15:42] to do inspections. So if they go in and they see a basement is finished and we

[15:46] don't have it or you know Wesley's always in their program looking at

[15:50] pictures see what they pictures are so important in our business right so then

[15:54] when we see if if the numbers aren't driving what's what's in the declaration

[15:59] then we'll call Chris like hey look we have a few units that went ahead and

[16:02] finished basement you know are you going to want them? he'll get in contact with

[16:05] whoever his person is and then they have to go back to the AG get so there's this

[16:10] whole it's a whole thing pretty much once account development is finished

[16:14] once they start finishing basement that's really just between the locals so

[16:17] that's between them department and us and you know are they allowed to do it

[16:21] things HOA I mean then there's all those little things that you have to do that's

[16:25] once it's over if it's you and me and we finish a basement with a permit we know

[16:29] there's a permit we said we were going to do it Wesley goes out and does

[16:32] updates if he happens to be there for another reason and he notices that it

[16:39] looks like, you know, the basement's I mean, there are ways to know that the

[16:41] basement's finished. It's just, let's just be real. Um, we send out inventory

[16:45] letters. Hey, we're not sure about inventory. Um, sales are a big thing. If

[16:51] if we get a sale that just seems so extraordinarily large compared to the

[16:55] assessed value, we send an inventory letter. Hey, look, we need to double

[16:58] check inventory. There was a recent sale. We want to make sure we had the

[17:01] right inventory. We do that periodically anyway.
