[7:23] fees and charges to adjust to the fees for the golf course facility excise and

[7:29] council announcements mr. Regan Thank You mr. president

[7:37] the annual st. bird named charity basketball tournament in barbecue begins

[7:41] on March 5th the family we chose this year is the Paul family Elijah was born

[7:48] in November probably two or three months premature and is suffering from a lot of

[7:53] health problems there good work through residents grandpa's Don Costello who

[7:58] many of us on the council know and so I would ask that as they get closer he'll

[8:02] start hearing me bark about this every week planning on attending may be

[8:05] planning on up your business man I'm sure the council will join me in

[8:08] being a sponsor again this year secondly I just wanted to thank the road crew the

[8:15] Public Works I thought they did a real good job in my ward this last weekend

[8:18] under trying circumstances the roads I think they did a very good job but I'm

[8:23] very proud of them thank you very much mr. parson thank you Thank You mr.

[8:28] president I just want to follow up with what mr. Eagan had stated I want to

[8:33] congratulate and thank our public works department for the work that works that

[8:38] they did on the the roads in my ward and all over the city I think they did a

[8:42] great job considering the amount of snow that fell in those couple of days and

[8:47] also if they if people don't already know this that one of our local

[8:52] businesses highway 67 barbecue is in fact giving those guys free meals on

[8:57] Tuesday all they have to do is just show their ID and that would be a I thought

[9:03] was an awesome adjuster because I know those guys have working

[9:08] 24/7 so I thought that was great additionally I just wanted to talk about

[9:13] the floors in five I want everyone to be able to be in contact with their

[9:17] neighbors check on the elderly I know with all the snow a lot of our elderly

[9:23] neighbors can't get out there and shovel the snow so if you can go check on them

[9:27] make sure they have everything they need whenever incidents like this come up

[9:31] additionally I also want to make sure that we take they have an effort to go

[9:38] visit five of our floors and businesses I think that helps to to you know make

[9:44] sure that our businesses in the city are successful and we want to continue doing

[9:48] that lastly I just want to you know I this doesn't happen very often I wish it

[9:55] did but it doesn't but I just want to say thank you to st. Louis University

[9:59] and the Urban League for awarding me this honor of receiving the dr. Reverend

[10:05] Martin Luther King jr. political service award on Thursday it's gonna be at st.

[10:11] Louis University Busch Memorial Center where my wife and I met and actually had

[10:17] our reception in the same room so I haven't been there in 20 years so it's

[10:21] gonna be neat to go back there but I truly appreciate it and I know they're

[10:27] gonna be keynote speakers King the third will be there and Coretta Scott King

[10:33] will be keynote speakers on that day so it's definitely an honor and I think

[10:37] them for that Thanks that's all I have mr. president Thank

[10:51] congratulations mr. parson I would like to thank all the residents of for

[10:57] exercising patience the st. Anthony Bridge is now open and the contractor

[11:02] did a great job I thought and it looks really good I think it's the last in the

[11:07] list of our bridges and our infrastructure that needed to be

[11:11] replaced and I want to commend the administration and the former

[11:15] administration for keeping up with our bridges and our

[11:19] infrastructure I would also like to thank mayor Snyder I received a text for

[11:31] my son who was a letter carrier in for something he told them told me of his

[11:35] co-worker who purchased the house at 245 st. Patrick mr. John Hernandez he's also

[11:42] a father sent letter carrier and he moved in two days before Christmas and

[11:48] all his utilities were on and he finished moving that the next day and

[11:55] his electric and gas were on but his water had been turned off and he didn't

[12:00] have outstanding balance or anything like that

[12:03] Missouri American water told them all we we have to do some routine things to

[12:08] your meter and we're not gonna be able to turn you on until after Christmas the

[12:12] day after Christmas my son son asked me dick can you help this guy out

[12:17] and I immediately texted to the mayor who got old so many Missouri American

[12:24] water and mr. Hernandez and his family did not have to go to a hotel to

[12:29] celebrate Christmas they had to add water and got to celebrate it at their

[12:34] new home at 2:45 st. Patrick I just wanted to say thank you sir thank you

[12:41] thank mr. mr. Hankey gratulations Robert good but I was just gonna echo what they

[12:50] people said about our public works in the streets everybody saw was a major

[12:54] snow event and there was a lot of issues out there throughout Sables area I was

[12:58] really proud of our crews that they got the job done but on top of that next

[13:02] time you see a city employee they're kind of the underdog raphy will thank

[13:06] them for their job that they do for this city because they're kind of unsung

[13:09] heroes they're out there doing the job every day and they did a outstanding job

[13:12] this time also thank you thank you mr. Jones yep I'd like to give a shout

[13:19] out to our food pantry team down the street somebody a hungry morning noon or

[13:24] night so please keep them in mind I'd also like to remind everybody about

[13:29] Lindsey lane the speed limit has changed please slow down also I have a ward

[13:35] meeting coming up February 6th at the JFK and the litter campaign uh that

[13:44] thing is not going to die out we're just getting that started you guys I know the

[13:47] mayor is contacted our two school districts I plan on doing a hands-on at

[13:52] their board meeting Hazelwood school districts tomorrow

[13:55] night and then I got the Ferguson floors at 1:00 to wrote down on the calendar so

[13:59] I will be attended both of those board meetings to try to get them on board and

[14:04] to share with them that that's a very good educational piece that's just not

[14:09] for our generations for kids to come still in our city that hopefully they'll

[14:14] catch on to this and maybe write some essays or there's a lot of things we can

[14:18] do with this so hopefully I can get these school board members on board with

[14:23] us for the litter campaign Thanks Thank You mr. Jones

[14:29] yes couple things tonight if you if you have a fire hydrant in front of your

[14:36] house and it's packed around and with snow make sure you go out there and kind

[14:41] of clean that around there a couple feet around that fire hydrant cause it may

[14:44] save your life cars warming up cars and I know it's

[14:49] cold out there in the morning but police all the notables that we had received

[14:54] almost everyone was car stolen because they were warming up in the morning so

[14:59] make sure make sure you don't want up one of these vehicles up in the morning

[15:04] they're being stolen firearms make sure if you're a firearm owner you keep it

[15:09] secure it at your house keep it locked up don't leave it in an unlocked vehicle

[15:16] and like to faked ward for members of our neighborhood watch we have very

[15:24] successful meeting last Thursday at the nature lodge it was very well

[15:29] attended by the ward and a lot of good information was passed along so a lot of

[15:34] people got a little bit of an education so and that's what we need education is

[15:39] the key and another thing although all the

[15:43] people from New Year's Eve that just say a total disregard for Public Safety by

[15:51] shooting your firearms and weapons in the air that is very uncalled for

[15:57] we were lucky fortunate nobody was injured nobody was shot and it's just

[16:04] total disregard for Public Safety if your own be you know if you're gonna be

[16:09] a firearm or to make sure you're a responsible firearm owner egg

[16:13] on one thank you Bob Lindsey the editor of the independent news for the article

[16:24] he published on the anti-litter campaign looked for a similar article in the

[16:30] focus that's coming out in a few weeks and you know we have more of these signs

[16:35] these green signs these attractive signs that say feed the can not to land and

[16:40] you can call City Hall and we'll make sure that you get assigned to put in

[16:44] your yard also the calendars came out the first

[16:48] week in January so if you don't have a calendar you can get one at City Hall or

[16:53] at JFK or at Eagan center or if you need extras if you want to make sure that you

[17:00] can dispose of your your real Christmas trees not your artificial ones but you

[17:07] can dispose of your real Christmas trees on your on your yard pickup date

[17:12] Meridian I'll pick those up and also looks like we're going to have some

[17:17] entries for the snow snowman-building contest Rachel already built a snow

[17:23] woman and so she's got an entry already and there were two more snow snow pleats

[17:30] no persons on my block so get those take pictures of your of your snowman or your

[17:36] snow woman and submit those either through the mayor's office or to one of

[17:40] the Civic Center's and we'll get those entered in a kinda bleep them judge by

[17:45] the Youth Advisory Commission she's same age as I am I helped a little

[17:52] bit actually we had no children but the children next door I haven't had fun

[17:57] watching us stupid also we we have a resident appreciation

[18:03] free skate we had one on December 31st it was packed I went down and check it

[18:08] out after the senior New Year's Eve party which was also packed as all of

[18:13] you know we think to thank all the council members for helping to bartend

[18:17] and also to help bring the food trays to all the seniors I think we had a record

[18:21] turnout in a great time but they also had a great time on the ice rink and we

[18:25] have another free skate next this coming Monday on the Martin Luther King

[18:30] observance day and then on February 18th on President's Day will have another

[18:36] resident Appreciation Day free skate the next senior gala will be the Valentine's

[18:42] Day dance on Thursday February 14th then I have a some patriotic news we're going

[18:49] to be celebrating the hundredth birthday of former first lieutenant Eugene Eric

[18:55] at the flourescent VFW On February 10th he'll be a hundred years old on February

[19:01] 7th he flew 50 combat missions in Africa and in Europe during World War two and

[19:09] so that's that's just a tremendous thing anytime you can celebrate a centennial

[19:12] it's a special occasion especially if it's world war two vet thanks Thank You

[19:17] America next regular meeting for the City Council will be on Monday January
