[10:55] I did. >> No. So, that right there is the
[10:59] microphone, but it it actually goes out like this the way that they explain it
[11:04] to me. So, I want to make sure that I catch you. So, Jo just needs to be loud
[11:08] when he want to sit here. >> No.
[11:12] » You want your folder? >> Sure.
[11:16] Hey, look.
[11:25] » Blonde hair. Wow.
[11:31] [laughter] >> Comb.
[11:47] These meetings have to be fun. >> You can start early to begin.
[11:51] » Well, why not? But
[11:55] my smile
[12:00] line in the back of my head.
[12:11] » Yeah, that's right.
[13:08] And then if you'd like, there's an agenda.
[13:11] Maybe not. It's okay.
[13:16] » Would you like a copy? >> Um, that's okay. I I think I I have one
[13:20] on hand. >> Okay. Thank you.
[14:05] States of America to the republic for which it stands. One nation under God
[14:12] and indivisible with liberty and justice for all.
[14:19] here. Council person >> here
[14:27] » council person Alexander here. Do you have a forum?
[14:32] » Um before we start
[14:36] a chance.
[14:40] » Yes.
[14:49] before make the approve.
[14:54] » I'll second. >> Excuse me, Doc.
[14:57] How you want to make a correction on your vote resolution?
[15:01] You said the 2026 goal that's already been fil 2027.
[15:09] » That was that that was how it was provided to me. So when we get to that
[15:12] point, I I would be mentioning that. Yes, absolutely. We just have to amend
[15:16] the resolution to Martin. Thank you. >> All right. Second.
[15:25] All in favor? Everybody looked at the bills.
[15:33] » I did. I'm concern bill.
[15:38] » We set a budget for 15,000. >> We're now at 17,000. Mhm.
[15:43] » We have this uh task force going on. >> Mhm.
[15:46] » And every time he's president, it's going to charge us.
[15:49] » Mhm. >> Um so that's going to increase. We're
[15:53] going to have to shift money around into that budget. I we worked a budget of
[15:57] 15,000 online item.
[16:04] » So um right here a 1420.4 before and now we're at 17,2190
[16:13] and it's just going to keep on increasing as the months go by every
[16:15] time our lawyer is president for the tax. So I'm concerned with that. Um and
[16:22] I'm also concerned with some of um the business that we started with our
[16:27] attorney from May that it just keeps on lingering and it's not being finished
[16:32] and wrapped up. So then like we get charged again and again. We're like
[16:36] let's do it and get it done as far as like the rental for the um the town hall
[16:42] here that we started that in May. We're into August
[16:48] and so we've been charged a couple times for that already. So my thing is like I
[16:53] don't want to see this little payments keep on lingering out because we're
[16:56] going to have huge payments from attorney fees and then what if something
[17:00] occurs in the future other than what we're working on right now too where we
[17:05] have to dial it into an attorney again. Just concerned about that.
[17:10] » Okay. So when we have an attorney file they cover only our municipality.
[17:16] So if we were to get sued from someone on the outside for any reason, that's
[17:20] when we go to NA, >> right? You know, any of those lawsuits.
[17:23] So So the bigger ones we have do have attorneys from N, right? But anything
[17:28] going on. But this task force, which would be internal, which if any of our
[17:32] residents chose to do anything, right, internally with the permitting system
[17:38] and everything going on, that would be more cost being incurred on here. So,
[17:43] I'm under this assumption that um the our attorney is owing only was here a
[17:49] couple of times to help them get through and explain how it's going. I think he's
[17:53] setting them free on the next going forward. I think he just wanted to make
[17:57] sure they understandtood how everything worked so that nothing would come back
[18:03] in the future. I think that's how this has been going.
[18:06] » So, do we need to move money because we're now over budget? No, we have a
[18:09] contingent fund, so we're fine. And that'll pick up for whatever's going to
[18:12] be. >> Listen, we had 15,000 or 25,000 back
[18:16] last year for you know what? >> And at least we have a contingent and
[18:20] that was that was real emergency. So that's that's why the contingent is
[18:24] there. >> Okay.
[18:26] » But I think moving forward we're going to be
[18:28] » okay. >> We have another lawsuit.
[18:30] You know that. >> And that those attorneys are triggering
[18:33] us more than anybody. >> I did. Nevertheless though, I am like
[18:38] fiscally responsible. I believe on keeping things, you know, like like No,
[18:43] I agree. Totally. >> What's the other lawsuit?
[18:46] » Like for the property. >> Oh, all right.
[18:52] » And that program, >> yeah. Yeah.
[18:56] » Has there been any progress since we >> checked into it for us to that reason? I
[19:02] think you can u report on a future date right and find out what's going on in
[19:06] the future. >> Yeah, I mean I can I can let you know
[19:07] that I did speak to the attorney and he was going to be following up the last
[19:11] time I spoke to you which was about um a couple months ago the time period in
[19:16] which we all needed to um
[19:21] to demand like for instance they needed to put in an appraisal they hadn't done
[19:26] that. So I had said to him well then the case is right to be dismissed. So, he
[19:31] was going to be looking into that and then getting back to me. I haven't
[19:33] heard, but I will follow up with that. And then, uh, just to to, you know,
[19:38] Andrew's point, that's exactly correct. My my objective was to get the task
[19:43] force up and running, explain procedure to them, and then they should be able to
[19:47] meet without me unless something comes up that they feel that they'll need me,
[19:52] and then they can let me know and I can attend. If that's something that I I
[19:55] will be doing, >> okay? And if they got a code officer,
[19:59] it's pretty much following state codes. That's what it's mostly all about.
[20:04] That's what that's why they're looking over all.
[20:08] » I understand that. >> Okay.
[20:11] » So, she I mean, she's the one, you know, I mean, try a lot of stuff.
[20:14] » Oh, sorry. Go ahead. >> Yes. She's thinking
[20:23] good to clarify that.
[20:29] Anybody want to approve the bills? >> I like motion to accept.
[20:35] » Okay. Second.
[20:39] » So, are we on the bills? Financial >> bills.
[20:45] So, his motion was >> Oh, sorry.
[20:50] » Okay. So, I approve that complaint or the motion.
[20:53] » I make a motion and we approve it. And I second it. All in favor? I
[20:57] » I
[21:01] move on to the supervisor reports.
[21:09] I just put your snow.
[21:20] Any
[21:25] questions
[21:31] bridge underneath? I'm guessing it's just funny.
[21:34] » Yes, probably. >> Yeah.
[21:40] » Correct. Right.
[21:43] Make a motion. We accept this. Make a second.
[21:50] I second. All in favor? I
[22:04] just give this to Amy. You guys can pass
[22:08] around
[22:12] the road shoulders like a bunch of corn shoulders over the military truck.
[22:19] That's what I just gave. So the total on it 47 whatever it is 100 I believe. The
[22:26] other number you see that's the buyer's journey they had to pay that to buy that
[22:29] truck. Um, we bought that truck from the ocean
[22:35] just we did very well. We just, as you guys
[22:38] know, we approve so well. Uh, we moved the LED side of town hall
[22:45] request to put options international. Last I knew it's not doing very well. I
[22:51] don't know the number right now. We got some regards contracts
[22:57] secondary for snow as just mentioned. check was turn order as journal when the
[23:04] time permits permits been working with Amy as far as there's some missing
[23:09] um items and we've been tracking down through DMV
[23:16] water had their tire drive which appeared to be very successful final
[23:20] numbers will be to assume the town has benefited in the past because of
[23:24] relationship such as varants etc. Uh update on the new tractor. Uh we
[23:31] ordered that. We don't have a time frame that the equipment to go on it. Fuel
[23:37] sheets, gas sheets were given to a and we do have same I believe
[23:52] number five on the agenda. Okay.
[24:00] » You want me to do it again? >> I'll stand.
[24:04] » No, that's not an
[24:08] It's okay. >> I just
[24:13] went past it. >> That's fine.
[24:16] Sure.
[24:20] Cru and gravel.
[24:35] bit for screen road private department
[24:40] 450
[24:44] last year
[24:47] you guys um that is open Wilmington and so last year what you did is you allowed
[24:52] me to So last seven replace
[24:56] » that's a lot cheaper takes longer burns more fuel so a lot cheaper than a lot in
[25:01] the past last year I couldn't afford to do that timing between that we were
[25:06] working on the sand shed pre
[25:11] sand and gravel is $9 a ton
[25:18] » I would ask the board to do it both ways again time if time is good for us. We
[25:23] can go there. We can do more questions if you have paper.
[25:27] » Okay. So, here's a resolution here. This is for
[25:35] » I know sometimes you prefer one p.
[25:40] » Yeah. I mean, it's nice. It depends on what your children are in, but um it's
[25:45] poor state is better. Stay on the better.
[25:49] So which tends to have that is >> um
[25:54] [clears throat] yeah time is a time is a constraint I don't know I can't go
[25:59] » right >> amount of time I can't do it all but
[26:02] it's nice to get it some from there
[26:11] » so do you want us to make a motion for to accept
[26:14] » you to allow me to pull from either way to at 450 ton from per sand and gravel
[26:22] and $9 a ton for traditional sand and gravel.
[26:26] that all favor
[26:35] and part of the reason just let you know that sometimes Trudeau is there for a
[26:40] max and if we unse
[26:52] it for the um Thank
[26:58] company usually pays for us. Um I don't know if they finish
[27:06] last place I know they were going to get us in town within the game.
[27:14] That's a little bit. >> Will you let me know when they have that
[27:17] date so I can put it up? >> Absolutely. And what I plan on doing,
[27:21] just to let you guys know, because there's no houses for most of our
[27:26] Shepher detour sign traffic
[27:33] because it makes it a lot easier. And if we can do a one pole, it's nice to do
[27:38] because it eliminates the center se and north, you know, they don't last anyways
[27:45] and that does help with that section.
[27:55] So in July I had one marriage license issued, received payments for 10
[28:00] building permits, issued seven dog licenses and renewals, and received
[28:05] three deposits. I want to say thanks to the highway department for coming over
[28:11] and picking compare the old sign and prepping for the new one.
[28:14] The new sign did ship. It shipped a little bit later than planned. the
[28:17] original date of August 5th. It is a few days later and they are shooting for
[28:21] August 19th delivery. Fingers crossed if that happens.
[28:26] Um there is a land bank. The land bank is offering an owner occupied grant. The
[28:32] original date for application was August 17th. That's been extended to the 14th.
[28:37] It's an online application which I thought was really cumbersome and
[28:40] difficult through. So I have copies and folks can
[28:48] um I did receive an email from some folks who have in the past utilize the
[28:55] park for the soccer program soccer. >> They'd like to do that again.
[29:00] » Okay. >> Um they did say
[29:04] we asked for >> Yes. Okay. And she mentioned that she
[29:09] does ask for like reimbursements for >> only we'll reimburse.
[29:14] » Want to make sure that that's okay. Yes, she asked for reimbursement. It's about
[29:17] $100 for field paint. Um this is also her family's last year coordinating
[29:22] this. So she's going to pass that to somebody else in the picture.
[29:25] » There's the total of eight days between September 8th and October 27th. They
[29:30] have insurance they're going to provide. 35 to 40 kids are going to participate
[29:34] and it will be 46 p.m. on Tuesdays. >> Everybody's okay. Absolutely. Okay. Um
[29:43] there was as Paul mentioned there was an error on resolution number 25 for 2026
[29:48] concerning the assessment from last year.
[29:50] » Okay. >> And so we should probably just pass
[29:54] revision on that to everybody was so confused and we're all looking at each
[29:58] other like they was already happening. It should have 2020 to that.
[30:02] » Okay. So, if we could okay >> make a statement to correct
[30:09] this. Okay. I'll make a motion for resolution.
[30:12] » So, it would read the town of Franklin will perform a townwide reassessment of
[30:16] all property for the 2027 tax.
[30:24] You make a motion. I didn't make a motion. I guess second.
[30:32] » Okay. And then one more thing. I would like at least two members of the board
[30:37] at some point in the next month or so to sit with me and audit the tax collectors
[30:43] and then we can close that out and get it.
[30:45] » Sure. >> When you want to do it with David within
[30:50] the next month. >> Okay. Let me know. We'll sit down. Do
[30:53] you want me to have someone with me? >> Yeah. We have two of you. Sure.
[30:56] Everybody like
[31:00] you. Let us know. Thank you.
[31:25] Yeah. So, um after making several calls and
[31:32] searching high and low, we were able to meet and interview a co- officer whose
[31:41] name is Casey Dwin. Casey come to much experience and
[31:48] awesome and many many many praises.
[31:55] So after speaking with her and telling her the mess we're in, she told her she
[32:00] need 24 hours to clean up Michael Bay and um she agreed to take on for
[32:11] um taking this on and I think with the task
[32:16] force what's been going on we have come across a mess
[32:21] and due to the mess and filing and the way it's been kept it's going to take
[32:24] some going to get caught up. Um I talked to Margaret Teser who was our tax
[32:29] assessor and he was very say he gave a good advice. He said you
[32:37] need to compare salary code officer as you would do a tax
[32:42] assessment. They're dropped hand in hand. That's how you get the honest
[32:46] written back on the tax law moving forward and it's going to be built. and
[32:51] um unfortunately last few years he hasn't had that with the private
[32:54] holdups. So right now I think DC has a lot of
[32:59] work to do and she's got a lot of files to get caught up on and
[33:05] because of the fact that I do or past record keeping
[33:10] um I'm asking that we would give the case the $6,000 raise to be comparable
[33:15] with the tax assessment. uh both positions require handling
[33:21] significant leav interaction and regulatory compliance.
[33:26] So I know we need to move the budget the
[33:30] budget year but I know we're okay to put this forward and to give
[33:35] the salary about $6,000. >> What is the current salary now? 13
[33:41] hours.
[33:44] » 137. >> Yeah.
[33:48] And and is there sort of an amount of time per week?
[33:51] » So, we figured out it's about I think this job right here would take about six
[33:55] hours a week >> and that's just going around like Martin
[33:59] said, you can be on one side with an inspection and by the time you get over
[34:02] the other side it be, you know, an hour, 40 minutes, whatever. Yeah.
[34:06] » So her her hours are her time is used up and a proper court officer will go make
[34:12] inspections. >> Yeah.
[34:16] » Exactly. Monday.
[34:21] Um, it's 13
[34:55] So right here
[35:00] it's I could
[35:06] probably
[35:21] » under public safety. >> Excuse me.
[35:26] There it is. >> Oh, yeah.
[35:29] » That's it. 137
[35:48] 8310. So it's 13,739
[35:53] tax it makes 20,487.
[36:00] Well, I'm just gonna speak before we make any motions, I guess. And
[36:05] I've been I've been part of the hiring a and
[36:12] dismissal two other code enforcement people and
[36:16] it's really time we got someone that we can rely on
[36:21] professional and
[36:25] I can tell from seeing some of the what was left behind that Casey's going to
[36:31] have a big job to do and she's going to be called on a lot to work with this new
[36:36] task force and I understand she's already got a little bit
[36:43] I think it only makes sense about
[36:51] » we have some building but we have some sheers
[36:59] and caught up on us >> I completely agree with Leo I think it's
[37:04] hard to be pistol approved these days when the cost of uh of employees is
[37:10] quite high and as Jacqu found out is finding out at the garage keeping garage
[37:15] employees there with the contract that they have is the home and then our
[37:20] history of building inspectors is very unpleasantly going back up to building
[37:27] and I'd much prefer to >> invest the money in a professional who
[37:31] would um you know who would do it properly
[37:34] And it would be compelling for her to stay because she was getting paid
[37:37] enough. >> Not only that, you know, but that job is
[37:40] going to be expanded rather than administrating
[37:57] things. She's she's right up to date on
[38:02] everything she needs. >> She requested some hard, you know, hard
[38:06] copies of books because there's not going to be they're all on the internet.
[38:09] So, we're she's going to get them from the state, which I think they copies.
[38:14] She's ready to build that department up here.
[38:19] I should
[38:24] I can you say something because I
[38:30] hope to the new budget year working that out. Um I also asked for
[38:36] incre another increase to be put on the agenda and it hasn't made it because of
[38:42] extra work being put on to somebody too. That was a new comment. Well, new new.
[38:49] So, I I So, it's whatever, right? I'm out voted
[38:54] anyways. I can already see. So, at this point, and I we didn't ask to do this
[39:01] whole zoning review in the middle of a year and incur more comprehensive
[39:07] planning and money coming up in the future either.
[39:12] I just I I find all this very hasty in the middle of the year. That's all
[39:18] that's that's all I'm going to say. So that's where I'm at.
[39:25] » This was a little independent of the zoning.
[39:28] » I mean, it's kind of more issues if we didn't choose to make a zoning law and
[39:35] just start doing a comprehensive plan. Yeah. But maybe it's a good thing we did
[39:39] because we got ripped out. >> You think it's a good thing you did?
[39:42] Yeah. And we got voted off wasn't doing. That's what we found out.
[39:46] » You already though. >> We did. But you know what? Sometimes you
[39:50] have to prove it and we were able to prove it now.
[39:55] » My point is I think it's all very that's what I'm saying. And that's
[40:01] » sometimes in a town things pop up like that. Don't
[40:03] » I understand like likes. That's right. I get it. I get it. But you put that on
[40:09] the agenda to happen and here we are. Majority of that room
[40:14] that was filled when we made that wall with Moon Lakers.
[40:18] » I don't This has nothing to do with this town. This has to do with hamlets.
[40:22] What's going on in a hammock right now in our town that's really out of control
[40:26] and it's not even proper way of state the road going into it. So the safety
[40:34] and the welfare of anybody building the lots on those lots are being sold is
[40:38] actually not up to code. So their safety is
[40:42] actually >> you got to go around to every property
[40:45] in this cabinet and go and check everything that's not up to anything you
[40:49] want. But someone develops piece of property the road going into those lots
[40:53] has to be made up to code. >> I get it and there's stuff happening in
[40:56] the backwoods around here. I get it. You only see that because it's
[41:01] happening right there. But so what I'm saying, what's good for
[41:05] the goose, it's good for the gander. Are we going to go police everybody? Are we
[41:08] going to go police the clear petties that are on the lake? Are we going to go
[41:10] police the the dump sand on our water on our our water shoreline? Are we going to
[41:16] go police all the bushes that are being taken from our water areas because of
[41:20] the development? Like >> I get it. I get it. But it's going on.
[41:26] All that's going on. Like I said, what's good for the goose is good for the
[41:29] gander. Are we just got to start policing it all?
[41:34] » I mean, the plan is moving ahead to hold people to be accountable,
[41:39] » right? >> You know, is that
[41:41] » it won't happen or we just got to pick and choose. I get it.
[41:44] » Not about picking issues. >> Starting somewhere.
[41:50] » Okay. >> I'm outnumbered. It's fine. I said, I
[41:54] said, I stand where I stand. I think just about in the middle of the year
[41:59] » and I am a bit concerned about the cost of the comprehensive 100% and I think
[42:04] that's something that we can address when we when we work on our budget but
[42:08] to to decide what degree are we going to have a plan
[42:12] » because as Joel said it could be $10,000 $70,000 and so we can it'll be up to us
[42:19] to decide and I think it's going to be part of the the fiscal element of Right.
[42:25] » And I think having a very good code officer that performs their duties the
[42:29] way they're supposed to helps in the beginning.
[42:33] » I'm not going to put the what did I say the shoe in front of the horse.
[42:38] » There you go. >> There you go. Whatever it is. I'm not
[42:44] We'll see how it goes. I don't have it safe.
[42:48] » Okay. Um, can I get a motion to appoint our new code officer's uh salary
[42:54] increase? >> I make such a motion.
[42:58] » Second.
[43:01] » All opposed.
[43:05] » I welcome Casey.
[43:08] » Yes. Welcome.
[43:24] folder of a team audit discuss names and different things right
[43:29] now but there you can see there's some issues teachers health
[43:36] I just want you all to see
[43:43] I don't think I have
[43:50] copies.
[43:54] I didn't see any.
[43:59] Okay, I'll pass it around. I just do want to put it out there because it's
[44:02] got names and everything. um big bound five issues
[44:09] um with the different employments and hours of vacation
[44:14] and health coverage that should have been paid and dues and this and that. So
[44:20] Mr. The journey is going back however they don't contact us and we'll ask for
[44:25] permission that we we need to see I guess when we get it to they won't find
[44:30] us
[44:34] they did find some things if you want to look at it okay
[44:58] Did you file it away?
[45:21] back into the file. >> All right. Uh, next on the agenda is the
[45:27] climate smart community with Caroline Bob. Welcome Caroline. Thanks.
[45:32] » Sorry, I know it's barely out of time. I was doing another presentation in sign
[45:36] language immediately before this. Um I have slides but I also don't I
[45:48] ability to hear it. Okay. One second. Is there a place for me to stand?
[45:54] » Here you want to sit down and take a sure.
[45:58] » Great. Okay. Hi everyone.
[46:02] Um I'm Caroline Dodd. Um I am the proud association and I am the extremely
[46:09] recently appointed private smart communities coordinator. Um, so this is
[46:13] a new position to me, but I'm not new to Aka. Um, and I am here to talk about the
[46:19] climate smart communities program, which um, the town of Franklin has already
[46:26] passed. You you all have already passed a resolution to um, participate in which
[46:30] is awesome and great. Um, but so I can talk a little bit about what the program
[46:36] is um, just for context. So climate work smart program is a free and voluntary
[46:43] program for municipalities and the goals are to reduce greenhouse
[46:48] gas emissions and build community resilience to the impacts of climate
[46:53] change. Um, and it involves a categorized list of actions that support
[47:00] local climate initiatives, but also support um, more broadly just local
[47:05] initiatives that kind of build um, resilience and um, preserve natural
[47:11] spaces and things like that in your community. Um, and it's really adaptable
[47:15] especially to rural municipalities which is um, kind of the only type of
[47:20] municipality I work with because I am the coordinator for the north country.
[47:23] So um it's sponsored by state sorry eight state agencies but it's
[47:29] administered by the DEC so I'm funded by the DEC
[47:33] um so the benefits of participation in the program um participating and
[47:38] certified communities are better positioned to earn points towards
[47:42] climate smart grant funding. So, um, in the most recent round of grant funding,
[47:47] which the applications were in July, um, there were $18 million available. So,
[47:54] um, it's quite a lot of funding that can be used for a lot of various projects.
[48:00] Um, you don't have to be a certified community in order to apply for that
[48:04] funding, but once you are a certified community, you get um and then another
[48:09] benefit is technical assistance, which is me and also the Anka climate and
[48:14] energy team more broadly. Um, but I'm the official appointed regional
[48:18] coordinator. Um, and then there's a whole bunch of resources that I can
[48:22] distribute to you all. There's webinars, there's um an email list that's kind of
[48:27] like a regional, not not regional, statewide network of participating
[48:31] communities. Um and then there's a lot of tools and templates that can help you
[48:36] get certified. So you're not just starting from scratch. Um and then it
[48:40] provides a framework in the future that you can use to inform um other planning
[48:45] um which it sounds like you're working towards a comprehensive planning effort
[48:49] which this can um kind of go hand in hand with which is um great. So then
[48:55] just distinguishing between registered and certified, you all are registered
[49:01] community, certified communities complete um 122 points worth of actions
[49:08] and the town of Franklin has already through clean energy communities and
[49:13] working with Nancy Bernstein who's the coordinator for that program um
[49:17] completed like I think around a hundred of those points. I think there's a
[49:21] resource that was distributed um that describes
[49:25] how many points you already have, but um there are basically a couple of options
[49:29] for high point value actions that you all can um work towards to achieve
[49:37] bronze certification and the timeline for that there's a January deadline and
[49:41] there's a June deadline. So um among task force members it can be determined
[49:48] which um which posted lines makes the most sense as a goal post. Uh a little
[49:53] bit more context of program there's 474 registered communities. Um that being 18
[49:59] million New Yorkers in large part because New York City is a close
[50:02] community. Um but also this this as you can see this is a map of all of the um
[50:09] participating communities. So it's like pretty well distributed across the
[50:12] state. Um and there's 185 certified communities. Um 20 only 25 of them are
[50:19] silver certified which is the highest level right now. Um and I think is
[50:23] actually working towards that certification. Um and then this is just
[50:27] a map of that's zoomed in of the north country. Um these little blue dots are
[50:33] registered and the the brown ones are broad survey.
[50:36] » Um so quite a few neighbors. there's a lot of regional precedent for this
[50:41] program and that also just means there's a lot of um work that's already been
[50:45] done that you can kind of copy and build upon um which is helpful. Um there's a
[50:52] list of pledge elements. I don't need to read them all to you but the stage
[50:55] you're in is the first pledge element which is build a climate community. So
[50:59] that is the resolution that you already passed and then there's a second
[51:02] resolution that um involves the appointment of a task force. So the task
[51:07] force has already been meeting but um and I can't remember I don't think
[51:12] you've already passed this resolution but it's um a task force leader and then
[51:15] membership and then a unit representative which will be presumably
[51:20] um and [clears throat] unless he quits
[51:25] and [laughter] and then there's beyond that um kind of
[51:30] you can pick and choose across the different um elements to um pick the
[51:35] ones that work best for you. But there's a list of priority actions that um you
[51:40] have to do I think free of and then there's a list of um other actions that
[51:44] you can complete and get various points for and I will be available to assist
[51:50] along the way. Um the task force is again advisory board that collaborates
[51:56] with local government to accomplish the goals of the plan. Um and kind of looks
[52:02] different in every community. Some task forces have an extremely large amount of
[52:07] people. Some task forces are three people. Um it can be done either way. Um
[52:11] obviously more people is nice but not necessary. And then um again there's a
[52:18] lot of different actions. You have already completed two of the like main
[52:23] priority actions um regarding greenhouse gas inventory and um an energy out for
[52:30] this building which is great. Um, and so you're kind of ahead of the game. A
[52:35] couple other others that the task force has been discussing recently is having a
[52:39] presence at Garlic Fest, which would count towards education and engagement.
[52:43] Um, and yeah, there's um plenty of ideas and ways to incorporate these actions
[52:48] into existing programming as well. >> Um, and I'm just how far are we to
[52:55] [clears throat] bronze? >> Very close. Like you have 22 points,
[53:00] » right? Yeah. >> Right. So yeah. Okay.
[53:03] » You're in you're extremely well positioned to be certified.
[53:06] » Okay. That's what we've done with the exam. I just want to clarify.
[53:11] » So yeah, you're doing you're doing great.
[53:13] » That's all I want. I just want >> so people very far. You were very close.
[53:16] So yeah. Um a little bit more about the grant programs. They are 50/50 match or
[53:22] the D contribution can be up to 80% with demonstrated financial hardship. And it
[53:27] covers both planning and implementation. So planning as in comprehensive planning
[53:32] or uh climate action planning and vulnerability assessments, things like
[53:35] that or implementation is projects like the town hall for example. Um quite a
[53:41] few communities in the north country recently qualified for these grants.
[53:45] Lewis County got $200,000 for a blood study. um the town of Platsburg, excuse
[53:50] me, town of Platsburg got $100,000 for their comprehensive plan. Um which has
[53:56] sustainability elements that have to do with the program. Um and then Sak Lake
[54:02] also just got um $72,000 for a vulnerability assessment. Um so people
[54:08] are doing this all over. Um, I will mention one other element of the program
[54:15] that we are working on right now is a is a countywide initiative. It's called
[54:20] climate adaptation and resilience planning. KARP is the acronym with two
[54:24] C's. Um, and it's basically we are funded to provide a free countywide
[54:30] adaptation and resilience plan. um which is more specifically dealing with
[54:36] threats and vulnerabilities and how do we create adaptation actions to address
[54:41] those vulnerabilities and uh bolster community resilience. So um that's
[54:46] something we're currently working on in Lewis County and then we're trying to
[54:49] identify a second county to um work on that with. Um but yeah, that's just
[54:55] another element of this program uh for your awareness. And then
[55:00] these are all pictures which are not that important. And then just in
[55:06] conclusion the support that I can provide um you don't necessarily need
[55:11] guidance on formia task force anymore because you have task force which is
[55:14] great um but I can provide support especially in accessing the portal which
[55:19] is the website. It looks like this. These are the ashes. This is where they
[55:24] calculate your points. Um, and I can help you kind of make sure that the
[55:29] things that you've already done are documented correctly so that they
[55:32] actually earn the points that you should be learning. And um,
[55:37] and also it is to your advantage to um, access this portal sooner rather than
[55:44] later so that you're not trying to submit all of it all at once at the end.
[55:48] Um, and then I think they do have that kind of information
[55:52] if you can read this. This is why um and that's all I have
[56:04] questions.
[56:07] Good. Um so I'm pretty excited about this and really willing to be
[56:16] and a couple things that caught my attention. one is that um uh so it's not
[56:23] the nicer fun is nice because it's we don't have to match it matching but
[56:28] there two projects that I have that I'm thinking of we have um some money that
[56:32] we're going to be spending on the K and so that money you know we have
[56:38] elements that would satisfy the uh the grants that we could maybe double that
[56:44] money by getting a grant for the pavilion Yeah.
[56:48] » So, it could be lighting their heater. I don't know. I have no idea what. But
[56:53] that's >> they have to direct this or something.
[56:57] » Yeah. >> Yeah. So, because we already planning on
[56:59] spending that money, it would be a way to augment that with more money.
[57:04] » And then I know we're all a bit concerned doing a comprehensive plan for
[57:09] this town. And so, if there can be anything that helps us with that, that
[57:14] would be huge. >> Yeah.
[57:15] » I think >> so. Those are the two things that really
[57:18] attracted me that uh what Caroline's talking about. And then the other
[57:24] element of it is this we will be required to pass two resolutions.
[57:29] And on the very last page of the handout, it's a little annotated, but
[57:35] it's the resolution uh for us to become finance for our community. One important
[57:42] thing is it does not um in any way require us to uh uh upfront spend money.
[57:49] » Yes. >> So it's it's a promise that we're going
[57:51] to do our best at energy, but it's not going to cost us anything to do this.
[57:57] And um >> and also if you never get certified,
[58:00] then the you know climate smart police are not coming for you.
[58:04] » Yeah, that's right. Climate police. And so, um, that's something that I what I
[58:09] would like to see is, um, you know, I don't think we should vote on a
[58:12] resolution today because we haven't all had a chance to digest it. But I think
[58:17] it would be good to read through this and then ideally if we were if we choose
[58:21] to agree to pass this if we could do it at the next meeting that would be moved
[58:26] to the garment fest and then gets us the points because we're going to have an
[58:30] educational element to that and these guys are going to have a table with an
[58:34] ang and I think also our local committee through David's going to have
[58:39] information for people about energy savings and what [clears throat]
[58:44] so Um, so that's just a heads up if it makes sense to the rest of you guys to
[58:49] uh, you know, consider these resolutions uh, in time for the next meeting. And if
[58:55] you do have any concerns, uh, when you read through it, um, yeah, let me know.
[59:01] It's editable. I think it's only showing what's inside
[59:08] there. I'll make a point of getting a big copy of resolution to everyone.
[59:15] So, but does that sound reasonable? I'm
[59:22] » also just a point of clarification is that you can match a portion of the
[59:26] money with um hours works but it's not it doesn't
[59:33] I don't remember the distribution is that I can follow that
[59:43] » uh yeah so we've got I think we still have 13,000 left And uh we're kind of
[59:50] done with well actually error is still built but um I shop and there's a list
[59:58] of smaller things that can be done um that will be helpful at the garage and
[1:00:03] get put on that we can charge that and we have a ticket until 2028 but I email
[1:00:10] their extender give him a quote to send us the bill for the pub got it and to uh
[1:00:16] and maybe we'll meet with Jacques getting
[1:00:20] that's yeah that's something that we're actively doing right now
[1:00:25] » as well as getting the moment the electricity for the solar
[1:00:29] panels goes to the garage we don't really have any money we should and so
[1:00:33] I'm figuring out the process of there's an element that we hadn't
[1:00:39] just
[1:00:46] » but that's what all the guys Yeah. Oh,
[1:00:55] » thank you. >> And you can always email or call me if
[1:01:02] any questions.
[1:01:06] Thanks to De who got heavy.
[1:01:11] So, she's going to be the coordinator for our um for our group, the planet.
[1:01:17] And that's one of the things that I insisted that we hold off until we have
[1:01:21] somebody willing to run this thing. >> Yes. Yes. That is that is leadership.
[1:01:28] » Yes. >> Yeah. And I was willing to do that. We
[1:01:32] still had to have the >> Yeah. George
[1:01:45] » Yeah, she's an engineer now working for engineering companies and she work for
[1:01:50] Florida
[1:01:55] town halls were great. So Amy and Marina have been working on this and I think
[1:02:01] we've come up with we spoke the insurance company today or
[1:02:05] yesterday pull me back and I think you gave us some good information.
[1:02:09] Um what I mean got it written up to a point
[1:02:12] that we think we're ready to pass it. >> Yeah. I'd like everybody to have a
[1:02:16] chance to read it shortly. At this point we kind of have to move forward because
[1:02:20] we have so many so many requests for utilization on this town hall.
[1:02:24] » Yes. And of course, part of the process is to kind of slow that a little bit as
[1:02:30] well by having an agreement in place and you know fees covering the cost of
[1:02:35] cleaning >> um or security deposit and also
[1:02:39] providing credibility insurance, >> right?
[1:02:41] » But however, with the closing of Bloomingdale pool, our local Girl Scouts
[1:02:45] troop still have a place to meet. So they're looking for a place to meet once
[1:02:49] a month. There's about eight girls who would be participating and maybe four or
[1:02:55] five adults and they asked they sent me some dates.
[1:02:58] They've asked if they could meet here. They do have insurance. They're willing
[1:03:02] to clean out after themselves and tidy things up and make it nice before they
[1:03:06] leave. Um so with September coming really fast and want to be able to
[1:03:11] Right. Right. So, do you want to send everybody
[1:03:15] the agreement online or do we have one ready to put out yet?
[1:03:26] » Yes. >> I asked the insurance company, they said
[1:03:29] it's kind of a rough draft of it. I could shatter that around and
[1:03:38] » 50 people. >> Yeah. Put that in the insurance, right?
[1:03:42] » In the insurance. So, that's required to have a million general.
[1:03:55] » That's okay. I'll just read. So, go ahead.
[1:03:59] What do you think? We want to pass for the insurance for the Girl Scouts to use
[1:04:05] it. We're just going to ask that they cover cleaning. Correct.
[1:04:07] » Yes. >> Are we going to wave that for the Girl
[1:04:11] Scouts? Yes.
[1:04:14] party, >> right?
[1:04:16] » And they're nonprofit. I think that puts into
[1:04:19] » Okay.
[1:04:23] » wants to have a feature if somebody wanted to come and have a small
[1:04:26] gathering like a graduation party or baby shower or whatever. As long as
[1:04:30] there's no wild >> $45
[1:04:36] is for the cleaning to cover security to be. All right.
[1:04:43] » Okay.
[1:04:48] » And then just remind me if you're a town resident, it's the cost that need
[1:04:53] [clears throat] >> across the board at this point. It's a
[1:04:55] $50 per
[1:05:00] I think that's should be next is reviewing them and and separating things
[1:05:04] out because an event is much different than a birthday party for example. So I
[1:05:08] think we have work to be done there and also opening the doors you know for
[1:05:13] somebody who live out town >> at hotel conflict with the date maybe
[1:05:17] charging fee. So >> there's some more but
[1:05:21] » well we want to get through the town hall partners.
[1:05:24] » Yeah. This looks great.
[1:05:30] » So you're talking about not the town hall.
[1:05:33] » This is a town hall. You ask about the pavilion. I asked for
[1:05:37] » No, I us >> a fee
[1:05:41] » a fee for this. >> Yes.
[1:05:42] » Yes. >> Yeah. We said it was originally what $50
[1:05:45] and I think we're just increasing it to $100 to buy a dollar for the
[1:05:50] » Is a security deposit refundable or collecting $100 to be donated?
[1:05:56] » I believe we're collecting $100 to be donated.
[1:06:00] » Yeah. originally
[1:06:04] » says deposit a deposit is unrefundable. Right.
[1:06:07] » Right. We have like we said this is a rough draft. We have some editing that
[1:06:10] we discuss. >> Okay.
[1:06:15] » We just want to show legally going forward what we need from our insurance
[1:06:20] something.
[1:06:34] Next time we'll have the resolution here.
[1:06:38] » Yeah, great idea.
[1:06:44] » Do you want to
[1:06:47] make an option to um accept the Girl Scouts since we need to make a plan for
[1:06:55] fall? That sound right? Okay. I'll make a
[1:06:59] motion before. All in favor? I said here that the $100 will be refunded. Security
[1:07:06] deposit will be refunded within 30 days right the key is returned. No physical
[1:07:11] damage.
[1:07:15] » Just
[1:07:22] all in favor.
[1:07:25] That's so when Amy took over, she had given me the
[1:07:30] existing agreement >> that the prior clerk is using. So I did
[1:07:34] have an opportunity to look at it. I kind of put it on hold because obviously
[1:07:37] the comprehensive plan, but I I do remember I do have some comments that
[1:07:41] I'm happy to share with you all. >> Okay.
[1:07:43] » So that we can get a final agreement. >> Okay. And and I think that one of the
[1:07:47] things that was in there was the fact that if it's a nonforprofit like the
[1:07:50] Girl Scouts, you know, then you guys have, you know, certain discretion in
[1:07:54] whether or not you want to collect a fee or however you want, you know, different
[1:07:58] than somebody it's a forprofit or, you know, a wedding or whatever.
[1:08:02] » Right. Right. >> You know, so so that was
[1:08:05] » but but I'm happy to look at it and share that. Okay.
[1:08:08] » Thanks. So >> yeah,
[1:08:14] » moving forward. So the comprehensive plan, um,
[1:08:18] of course, we're working on this right now. I have not much to report on it.
[1:08:22] We're just trying to get through the task force first two meetings. I
[1:08:25] understand where we're going and what's dealing with.
[1:08:30] » We have we have some big what's that? >> But we have people on it on the task
[1:08:34] force task force. We do our comprehensive comprehensive. Yes,
[1:08:38] there's two. put them in my smoke.
[1:08:43] » Okay. >> Okay. So, they are there. I haven't
[1:08:45] spoken with them yet, but they know that they will we're trying to get stuff now
[1:08:49] to collect as we move forward to get to them and then we'll do get a work.
[1:08:57] No, I continue to keep it up on the website, right? Push that out again.
[1:09:06] » And we didn't receive any RFP responses. We received full regarding the RFP, but
[1:09:13] » kind of the general consensus of how much you're willing to spend and where
[1:09:17] the money.
[1:09:21] » No, I think we need to see where we're going. Yeah,
[1:09:23] » that's okay. We have we have more to improve. I can discuss and see what we
[1:09:27] think we need or how we want to move forward.
[1:09:31] I think it's going to really enforce. >> Yeah. Now reiterate that we have the old
[1:09:35] law major subdivision that we could put in
[1:09:40] place even maybe before the comprehens.
[1:09:59] » All right. IT updates
[1:10:03] going on. >> Well, Squest did reach out as promised
[1:10:05] because our contract is coming to an end on the old printer and they have told me
[1:10:11] at one point that, you know, they can leave you the the estimate that we're
[1:10:14] going to fix it. At this point, it's doing just fine.
[1:10:18] just maybe just keep helping it along and and know that if it does die, we're
[1:10:25] going to have to
[1:10:34] » um I just heard from her. I have to send her a couple more things. I think she'd
[1:10:38] be ready for that because I think that's going to
[1:10:42] be key for me. >> I do too. I'll work on that too.
[1:10:47] » The thing with the with Verizon with the phone system that we're going to she
[1:10:51] would be able to have an app on her phone to receive calls instead of using
[1:10:56] personal.
[1:11:06] Anybody else got it? Oh, we got a new What did they give us? A new
[1:11:12] » They gave us a bigger access point. >> Access point. I felt that what was there
[1:11:16] before was too small that wasn't reaching all the corners. So you got
[1:11:20] your new computer running that. >> That's all good. Baby took the code
[1:11:24] enforcement officer laptop clean what needs to be on there on there and
[1:11:29] got her email. >> Thanks Amy. We have some committee
[1:11:35] reports. Senary committee first
[1:11:41] senary committee now. >> Well you can get it. Go ahead.
[1:11:46] » You want to just give us a little report, but you got
[1:11:52] » secondary. We um there's probably four or five members that are on it down and
[1:11:58] that was gracious enough to be on it. Um some restructuring um of the the rules
[1:12:06] and ransom a little bit. Um, we're going to bring
[1:12:11] back a suggestion of u fees um with the times because they were much lower than
[1:12:17] what they were back when they were first impacting and then some general
[1:12:21] maintenance uh issues with uh all places that need need to be done. And then in
[1:12:28] the in the future, I'm looking for some maybe expansion or a driveway or
[1:12:32] something like that to 7 yard long-term goals, but we're just getting the uh the
[1:12:38] framework of the uh cemetery rules and whatnot together. So, it's going very
[1:12:44] well. Really is. And we're going to get copies of the uh the maps and actually
[1:12:49] have a database to actually chronologically find someone versus you
[1:12:54] know walking through the big cemetery trying to find somebody where actually
[1:12:58] back up of the photograph and a location and maybe a little narrative of history
[1:13:03] like if they were involved in the military or fires. So it's going to be
[1:13:08] pretty good. >> Nice.
[1:13:11] I did complete organizing the files for each one of the series
[1:13:17] alphabet and I started enter I think I'm 99% complete and getting them entered
[1:13:22] into an Excel spreadsheet so we can search that based on last name data
[1:13:28] and whether or not they were in service. Um I do have a resolution that I like
[1:13:34] that covers us Franklin Cemetery. Historically maintenance has been shared
[1:13:40] with the town of St. Arman because there's literally a line down the center
[1:13:43] of of the cemetery. Um previously I guess there was some
[1:13:48] sort of a an agreement on file but neither one of our towns can locate that
[1:13:52] agreement. So Deina put it forth that we're responsible for our side, they're
[1:13:57] responsible for theirs. She advised that they are solely responsible
[1:14:03] for the entry road and they don't expect us to do anything we offered. Okay. In
[1:14:08] the past, it's kind of an thing I think. Okay.
[1:14:12] » But as far as the road that passes through the portion of the cemetery that
[1:14:15] we're responsible for, we are responsible for maintenance of that.
[1:14:19] » Um so you should at least have a copy of that. Great.
[1:14:22] » Yeah. >> So it just be nice. It's been very
[1:14:24] informal to this point and just to protect ourselves moving forward in the
[1:14:28] event that you know folks change positions [clears throat] or just to
[1:14:32] have something on record that we are sharing this. So in other words, John
[1:14:36] Dubrey goes and he his half aros they have and it's just been that way
[1:14:43] forever.
[1:14:51] I accept
[1:14:58] it all.
[1:15:07] It's all >> Are you sure?
[1:15:09] » Yeah. >> Do you want to vote?
[1:15:11] » I'm sorry.
[1:15:17] » No, I'm good. >> I'm sorry. Sorry.
[1:15:30] » So, the youth program ended last Friday. It was very well attended and successful
[1:15:36] program. It's had a great time. Um, I haven't finished filling out the
[1:15:40] paperwork for the 2026 grant to the counties to receive the $4,100 that we
[1:15:46] received to them for 2026 year, which I have it almost ready to go. I also had
[1:15:51] to do the new grant for 2027, which I wrote the grant, filled everything out,
[1:15:56] sent to them by the deadline. So, that's in place for 2027.
[1:16:00] » So, I think everything otherwise is great and good.
[1:16:05] » Do we know our numbers for next year? No, for what we had this year.
[1:16:11] » I'm Well, we had 57.
[1:16:15] » Yes. So, >> yeah.
[1:16:17] » Close to 60, right? That's good. >> Somebody stopped by and say maybe it was
[1:16:21] Martin. Martin said yes. >> It was really great to go and see kids.
[1:16:29] » He's going to bring his kid up there next year. He said they were all having
[1:16:32] fun. So, >> so the attendance very good, do you
[1:16:34] think? >> Yes.
[1:16:36] » I think it was great. I think there were 30 40 kids there a day.
[1:16:40] » Every time I went up at a different little talk, so at least 10 kids just
[1:16:44] » Oh, yeah. >> having a good time.
[1:16:47] » Okay. Um, we have a task force like to give us an update at BEu, John.
[1:16:55] » I certainly can. >> Okay.
[1:16:58] » So, everybody probably has heard at least a
[1:17:02] little bit about what we've been up to the last month. So, we we had three
[1:17:05] meetings, a group meeting, um really more just training, trying to figure out
[1:17:09] what we're doing. Uh at that point, we were still talking with Roger and Roger
[1:17:15] and I talked quite a bit over the week about uh which permits that are
[1:17:19] currently out there would be exempt, which one we would be looking at. So,
[1:17:22] Roger contacted 14 people and asked them to come to the
[1:17:28] next meeting, which was very well attended. Of those, 14, 11 showed up.
[1:17:33] Uh, and of course, as we know, Roger resigned right before it, so it kind of
[1:17:37] turned out to be a little bit of a messy meeting, but I think we did okay. Uh, it
[1:17:41] remained cordial, I'm happy to say. And, uh, nobody got mad at us, too mad at uh,
[1:17:48] to so far, we have not approved or denied any permit or project whatsoever.
[1:17:55] Um, we did another meeting last night and we're kind of getting on the same
[1:18:00] page with Casey. We're kind of going slowly through files. Amy's helping us a
[1:18:05] little bit with that. So, um, the wheels are turning. Uh, it probably appear to
[1:18:12] be slowly, but we are being diligent. And I'd say after our August 25th
[1:18:17] meeting, we should really have some report.
[1:18:22] » August 25th at >> 5:30. I was going to say
[1:18:27] » and is anyone waiting to be president of this?
[1:18:31] » Yes. So, there were three people who really want or I'm sorry, four actually
[1:18:38] who really wanted a a permit or were kind of held up in the process. So, last
[1:18:43] night, you know, we we have 42 uh permits that we thought we need to
[1:18:49] either look at. Most of them, I think, are going to be exempt. Um, so we
[1:18:54] actually looked at the four that were pressing last night. We only got to nine
[1:18:58] total, but four of those were those and so now they're in Casey's hands to
[1:19:03] locally get those carpets out. >> Thank you.
[1:19:10] So, so D, I just wanted to just reiterate. So, the the task force will
[1:19:14] put together a list of recommendations um and then present them to you and then
[1:19:19] Amy can put together a resolution and then you are the the final word on
[1:19:24] whether or not the variance or waiver of the moratorum will be um will be
[1:19:29] granted. So, that's what you should look for. So they should be doing the, you
[1:19:33] know, the clerical work, the backup work, working with Casey, going through
[1:19:36] their process and then saying to you, okay, here's a list of 10 people, for
[1:19:41] instance, that are uh we feel are eligible for a waiver. And then you you
[1:19:47] all would create the waiver. They can continue to build and then Casey will
[1:19:51] then take new permits in and then if she determines that again the task force
[1:19:57] needs to review those, then they'll they will do that. Come to you. you make the
[1:20:01] final decision. So that's that's what the process will look like. And I think
[1:20:04] that after going through these 42 or whatever, um, you know, I think the
[1:20:10] little bit of a glitch was that once the task force started looking at what the
[1:20:14] former enforcement officer was collecting, they realized that things
[1:20:18] weren't being collected. So that's really what has has stalled, you know,
[1:20:22] the process. So hopefully Casey here, get them up to speed, get them running,
[1:20:26] and then it should just be, you know, more plain than, you know, new
[1:20:30] applications coming in. The board knows what the criteria are, you know,
[1:20:34] Jonathan is is comfortable running it or what, you know, whatever. And then
[1:20:37] again, um, Henry, they should be able to to do all of that unless, you know,
[1:20:41] something comes up quote unquote legally or they have questions and I but no need
[1:20:47] for me to be sitting there, you know, while they do their normal job. So the
[1:20:51] assault stat for me in case she can disapprove and don't have to go
[1:20:56] » if she can absolutely if if it does not fall under the you know the um criteria
[1:21:01] in the mortorium she absolutely can approve those that can go straight and
[1:21:05] then no no need for a waiver. So the only thing that the task force really
[1:21:10] should be doing is looking at ones that need a waiver. However, because the
[1:21:14] records are so um inefficient at this point, what maybe was identified as not
[1:21:20] needing a waiver does need a way. So, that's I think with a little bit of a
[1:21:23] glitch that >> Thank you.
[1:21:29] » So, the festival is
[1:21:36] what is it? >> 28th.
[1:21:38] » 20th Sunday. Oh,
[1:21:43] » you don't know that.
[1:21:48] » I just realized I can't make it. >> So, I just want to put out there that um
[1:21:52] I will contact Demarco disposal for garbage cans. Great
[1:21:56] » and because he does our garbage. That's what we want to offer to do and we'll
[1:22:00] get the two quarter jobs. So, we have three garlic festival. something went
[1:22:04] wrong about that >> and then she somehow talked to or maybe
[1:22:09] you guys talked to the um counselors for her summer program.
[1:22:14] » Yes. >> Willing to come and paint faces and then
[1:22:18] somebody's talked to Stewarts and gotten a bunch of ice cream and cups and that's
[1:22:23] but it's only for the kids. >> Yeah. The kids the kids program uh staff
[1:22:28] is putting that together for >> just fun participate. And there's more
[1:22:33] and more things happening. It's going to be it's going to be actually a pretty
[1:22:37] big event.
[1:22:41] » They need some cars. >> How's the parking like what's the deal
[1:22:44] with that? >> I think they figured that out parking on
[1:22:48] the grass. >> And then
[1:22:49] » there's a big plan that I have not. That's a good question.
[1:22:53] » Are we And then um the alcohol thing. Are we serving alcohol? Isn't hot or
[1:22:58] anything going to be there? >> Yes, but I think they're off to the
[1:23:00] side. You have to stay. >> Do we need a permit for that? Because
[1:23:03] it's a no. It's a no.
[1:23:08] » I don't know. >> I'll put that on.
[1:23:12] » All right. So, when I spoke with my sham,
[1:23:15] » you do. You need a permit. >> They need
[1:23:20] not Amy's aware and has that those forms
[1:23:24] that need to be filled out. We talked about that. Thank you.
[1:23:31] » Traditionally, due to the type of that they are, they're able to get an offsite
[1:23:35] permit. >> I think the bigger thing is that because
[1:23:38] the town has a no alcohol
[1:23:43] that it should be discussed and approved for
[1:23:47] an exception. >> Yeah. So, do you want to discuss it?
[1:23:51] » We should. It opens ourselves up to if anybody
[1:23:56] questions that happening there from the festival why I think we should cover you
[1:24:02] know basically. Yeah. So, how do we go?
[1:24:09] » We need to make an account just for that day. And is that going to be
[1:24:16] » It's a It's a resolution. It's a resolution, right? That we would say
[1:24:21] that you're going to relax that criteria just for the festival for that vendor.
[1:24:29] » Yeah. >> Just want to be careful. I mean the
[1:24:31] alcohol barely
[1:24:37] come back on us. >> I think we're just making a resolution
[1:24:41] to say for the garlic festival has asked if they can have a beer temp. So we'll
[1:24:45] make a resolution. We're going to yeah we're going to pass our regulation of
[1:24:48] what we normally allow >> them to proceed with.
[1:24:53] » I'd like to make that resolution. >> Okay. or
[1:24:59] » yeah, I'll second that. As long as we have something on the book that we're
[1:25:02] for that day, I think that's make it safe
[1:25:04] » because the assumption is that they they have the appropriate permit, right? As
[1:25:08] as the vendor with the state, right? So, all you're doing is just allowing them
[1:25:13] on your property on the town's property. >> Right. Very good.
[1:25:16] » Right. >> Insurance wise,
[1:25:19] » insurance, >> we don't cover that because they have
[1:25:23] the permit. They have the right covered under their
[1:25:26] » and the garlic. >> They both got their own insurance to
[1:25:30] cover them. >> All in favor?
[1:25:34] » I
[1:26:04] issue. What date you want everything to you?
[1:26:08] » All right. Friday. Okay. >> Yeah. So, I have one article so far for
[1:26:12] me. >> Well, aren't you
[1:26:16] Paul? Don't you want to write us something? [laughter]
[1:26:21] » Me to write you something. Do you want to put something in about the moratorum
[1:26:25] or about >> the zoning and all of that?
[1:26:28] » Can we the um Maryland?
[1:26:33] » Yes, that will be in there. Can we add that?
[1:26:35] » Did you see the um do you think she send you more? Go ahead. Well,
[1:26:39] » she's having an email. She wants to take a walk with me when she's up to look at
[1:26:45] » Oh, okay. So, did you see all the um the history on that? That was in a primary.
[1:26:49] Is that cool? Yeah. So, yeah. Yeah. And and Jock's going to be um the one that's
[1:26:55] going to know where the safest place to put that is.
[1:26:58] » So, Jock,
[1:27:01] you can go with Jock and Maril and you >> and my dog.
[1:27:04] » They're looking for a date in October. >> Yes. We don't know till the plan gets
[1:27:08] here, but it should be done before that. So, we'll let you know. They'll let me
[1:27:11] know from the cast in place and all that. Okay. And we are open to public
[1:27:17] comment. Would anybody like to say anything?
[1:27:19] » Yeah. >> So, I got a couple questions and
[1:27:23] concerns, but uh I don't want to hurt anybody's feelings and my feelings
[1:27:27] aren't hurting them. A couple meetings ago, you stated that Joel told you
[1:27:32] elected officials can't be a volunteer board in section 24. I looked that up. I
[1:27:40] called associations of counties and the only thing that I could find The only
[1:27:45] thing they they don't have anything on it. An elected official cannot hold two
[1:27:49] elected positions. Nothing about volunteer goals. So I got a
[1:27:52] clarification on that please. >> The clarification is that you may be
[1:27:57] considered the consultant to the board. If something comes up for instance the
[1:28:01] board is talking about a road they need to consult you. So therefore you would
[1:28:06] be as an elected official a consultant to the board. So you can't be a voting
[1:28:10] member of the board. That's >> okay. So, let me let me get this
[1:28:14] straight. This this whole thing that's going on is not about roads. It's about
[1:28:19] building and it's about permitting for the buildings. Correct. Incorrect.
[1:28:23] » Uh incorrect because it's it's incorrect because it's it's about potentially
[1:28:28] development. So, the the once there's a joint planning board and zoning board,
[1:28:34] site plan review will be will be on the agenda for those folks. They're going to
[1:28:39] be looking at roads. they're going they're going to need your expertise to
[1:28:41] help them to to maneuver a site plan so that the town is um is covered and that
[1:28:50] the developer is properly putting a rope together and and meeting those
[1:28:54] specifications. So they need you to help them with that. So therefore,
[1:29:00] » well, the only time I argue because attorney, but the only time that would
[1:29:05] take place is if we had a talk in a discussion about taking a road because
[1:29:10] as far as I know, and if you can point it out to me because I did get here, as
[1:29:15] far as I know, if there's a development going on, the town has nothing to do
[1:29:18] with it. If it's a private driveway, private road, etc. If it's going to be
[1:29:23] something the town takes over, then yes, then the board weighs down. So do I. But
[1:29:28] they ultimately have the decision. I can I can advise them on that. So okay. So I
[1:29:33] got that. >> Well, what would happen if I'm on one of
[1:29:35] our town roads though coming into a town road that they want to make a new thing
[1:29:39] from theirs to our town road. But let's say you say, well, first of all, the
[1:29:43] culbert there isn't going to hold what you want to put through there. So now we
[1:29:47] have to replace the culvert. Now, >> well, that's that's a that's a given. If
[1:29:50] if just like what we had on that, right? >> Somebody built a house in there. We had
[1:29:54] to bring that up to because as you know, They've been out like that for 50 years.
[1:29:58] So again, this is no feelings. This is being told one thing and finding out
[1:30:02] that that's not accurate. Okay? So I'm moving on from that's I got
[1:30:08] no disrespect. Um I don't want anybody take this personal, you know, uh you
[1:30:12] guys voted for almost a 44% increase for code enforcement and um and and don't
[1:30:18] take this no offense at all. >> Um I didn't hear anything about
[1:30:22] credential. This is me talking as a taxpayer. I didn't hear anything about
[1:30:25] credentials and I don't mean to put anybody on the spot, but we have
[1:30:30] somebody at the end of the table that's doing a town clerk job and if you can
[1:30:34] give money an increase, a 44% increase, I think the board should consider
[1:30:40] raising or what she does. I work with her considerably and I know all you guys
[1:30:45] do as well and I would really think that you guys should at least consider that.
[1:30:51] I'm not saying tell me what to do. I'm asking you to consider that based off
[1:30:55] that. That's nothing against >> just out of curiosity, you know, what
[1:31:00] are credentials because all I heard is that she's going to be again just me
[1:31:04] ask.
[1:31:08] » So, I just want to go back to when we get the budget for 2026. We cut the
[1:31:12] salary of the new town 24,000 because we didn't know who was going to be elected.
[1:31:18] We also said we didn't know what the you know we wanted to start at a fresher
[1:31:22] since we didn't know >> and so when when Amy got elected I think
[1:31:27] we brought it back up to currently to 28,000
[1:31:30] » 26 right >> 26 it was 280
[1:31:36] » to what it was it was 285 I think 28 something
[1:31:40] » we brought her back up just because we felt we knew she had a lot of work do I
[1:31:44] know Amy has a lot of work absolutely do we as a board want to discuss us doing
[1:31:48] that in the middle. Now we can or can we say you know what because of what she's
[1:31:52] done done next next budget hearing we could say you know what let's give her a
[1:31:56] 5% raise instead of the two because the tax cap would be two that would
[1:32:00] compensate then going forward >> so I know we brought it up once we bring
[1:32:05] it up once we bring up and it's nothing against
[1:32:08] » I understand that and this is not >> we were bringing her up to the same
[1:32:12] salary that we um
[1:32:17] » I thought it was 26 now Oh, okay. It was going to be 28 and we
[1:32:22] only >> Okay, my mistake. I apologize.
[1:32:27] » Um, >> so just on curiosity where because
[1:32:33] » I can show you. You want me to send it to?
[1:32:35] » No, I was just curious because never got spoken about. I'm asking
[1:32:38] » Well, she's a certified officer. >> Where was her?
[1:32:42] » From New York State. >> Where?
[1:32:44] » Currently New York State. >> No, I mean currently she works. She said
[1:32:49] that
[1:32:53] I'm just ask but I really wish that you
[1:32:58] tell them to go ahead. Tell them your resume.
[1:33:03] » I have I am a New York state certified code officer. Um I've got several years
[1:33:09] working at Florida as a code officer in their construction department as a
[1:33:12] project manager. I also own a building that I've done renovations to. So, I I
[1:33:19] do understand both sides of it. Um, you know, as I said, the files are messy.
[1:33:25] » Um, I I did not ask for more. Um, that was completely out of my control. I just
[1:33:31] wanted to point that out. >> Um, I I'm here trying to to do the best
[1:33:37] I can for the taxpayers. >> Um,
[1:33:39] » I don't I don't doubt that. I really don't. I didn't I just I watched the 44%
[1:33:44] increase. You didn't ask for it. I did that and that that's why I didn't hear
[1:33:48] anything about credential. >> So I'm going to say like the maximum
[1:33:51] appointed position >> and what happened is he called and had
[1:33:54] put many phone calls into other uh applicable
[1:34:07] to mine. It's not worth it for anybody to work for that.
[1:34:12] » Amy ran as the elected official knowing her salary. Going to be honest with you
[1:34:16] and she knew it then. When she got elected, we brought it up to what it
[1:34:20] would be. Going forward next year, Amy knows what her work entails. She can sit
[1:34:24] at our budget hearing and she'll give it to Dick Clever and she'll say, "Listen,
[1:34:29] I have a lot of work." Like every year you say to us,
[1:34:32] » all of us do. Listen, I've got a lot of work. my budget I deserve x I want more
[1:34:36] than a 2% increase but we're elected official
[1:34:39] elected officials different okay I want to bring that up
[1:34:43] » I didn't know if that was a possibility because we're overspending you know
[1:34:47] against council person agree that we're overspending on a town attorney lot and
[1:34:52] just out of curiosity we never had a town attorney here as often as we
[1:34:56] » well have okay but let's go back our first town attorney when I came was Eric
[1:35:02] then we ended up because Eric wasn't doing things fast enough when we were
[1:35:06] doing the highway garage. We had buying them property and the buildings and
[1:35:09] everything. We got a an offer from somebody from the town to go proono and
[1:35:14] they're going to be on call all the time. Wasn't going to charge us whenever
[1:35:17] we needed them. Well, that turned into a huge disaster. I don't think I have to
[1:35:21] go back to what that was about. Then the following year, we asked Eric if he
[1:35:25] would come back. Eric said yes. And Eric decided that he was going to go help a
[1:35:29] certain land developer in this town because he knew there was a lot of money
[1:35:32] to be made. we had they gave us up as our to be our attorney anymore.
[1:35:36] » So from there we ended up getting some uh an offer to do this from a local
[1:35:42] person that said I would like and that's how we have Joel and I'm going to say
[1:35:47] one thing when you progress in a town in the builds it's going to cost money.
[1:35:51] » If you don't have the proper people sitting as a code officer or different
[1:35:55] positions your money you're paying them is actually being wasted because they're
[1:35:58] not doing their job. So the money that was given out the last several years to
[1:36:03] a code officer as far as I'm concerned was money that we will never get back
[1:36:06] and the job was never performed to the capacity it should be performed in. So
[1:36:11] this is where I'm coming from and I hope everybody can see that that this going
[1:36:14] forward we're a town. We're a growing town. We need to protect the safety of
[1:36:19] our uh taxpayers and we need to know that if someone builds something maybe
[1:36:24] they're only building it to rent out well or when they rent it out people
[1:36:28] renting it safe. We want to make sure it's up to code. What happens if they
[1:36:31] sell it again? Is the code is the house at up to code that if they sell it, the
[1:36:36] next family comes in is going to be protected and safe. So that's that's the
[1:36:40] problem. That's where we are concerned. >> Fire.
[1:36:43] » Okay. >> Um is the fast force trained all good
[1:36:46] enough to >> I believe they are. We have a good group
[1:36:48] of people. We have John is a fire.
[1:36:55] » Okay. is I I think one more meeting when you know Casey's ready to present and
[1:36:59] then they understand the process they're going to be good to go.
[1:37:02] » So basically you're going to go one more meeting.
[1:37:05] » Is that what you're >> Are you going one more?
[1:37:08] » I I'm I'm I'm I'm thinking that we need one more so that the process then is
[1:37:14] clear. But I certainly don't necessarily need to go. I mean I can I can meet with
[1:37:18] John and and Casey or whatever and they can go from there. But I it's an issue.
[1:37:24] » Just I'm going to tell you >> because I heard what you said earlier. I
[1:37:27] think do the same way. I thought you were done. That's why I asked.
[1:37:30] » No. And that's up that's up to John and Todd and all them. They're on the task
[1:37:35] force. I think they they're comprehending it. I was at the one the
[1:37:40] other night. I mean Casey's knows what and with them she got along very well.
[1:37:44] They communicated very well. Um she even said a couple of things like okay let's
[1:37:47] just do this and this since it's we're working on this now and we'll go back to
[1:37:51] those other ones which saved them a lot of time I think that
[1:37:54] » the only thing we haven't addressed is that we have a project that we do feel
[1:37:59] like the moratorum should be applied to how we handle that in the correct way
[1:38:04] and I think that's where our task force needs to make sure that we're getting
[1:38:08] exactly the town attorney wants to do it. So that's that's the I passing them
[1:38:13] through to the town board. I think we understand the process and and I think
[1:38:17] we can handle [clears throat] that. But >> yeah, we didn't take like half of them
[1:38:22] and just say here pass it. We stopped. We looked at it last night said you know
[1:38:26] what everybody's getting it regardless from the top to the bottom. If somebody
[1:38:32] does it like that then I'm sorry but that's the way it is. And mine is one of
[1:38:37] them there. And I'll take my lips if I got to give up.
[1:38:40] » Well, I think everybody who's going to do things right way will take the lips
[1:38:44] or whatever have to do. They're not worried about
[1:38:50] » any other public comment. >> So, um I attended the July meeting uh
[1:39:00] via Zoom. I decided to give you some feedback.
[1:39:04] Uh I did it just cuz I was curious and um what I found was that at times it
[1:39:12] was difficult to hear certain voices and like it was sort of garbled but I think
[1:39:19] generally that occurred when more than one person was talking at the same time.
[1:39:26] » Um the the town board people voices came
[1:39:32] through pretty well. Um, I didn't have any tr trouble hearing
[1:39:37] uh people that were remotely talking like Leo and the other woman.
[1:39:43] » Uh, and I think it might have been Have you
[1:39:48] changed the position of the microphone because of that? Yes, probably.
[1:39:51] » So, that's probably a good improvement. Um,
[1:39:58] so in general though, I just think um it's nice to have the option to attend a
[1:40:05] meeting online for those people that for whatever
[1:40:10] reason don't come to meetings. So that's one one thing. The other thing
[1:40:16] I just wanted to mention was u beaver activity on sink road right now. uh
[1:40:25] the the section that's graveled occasionally, you know, seasonally
[1:40:32] gets flooded. Usually it's just one lane of traffic. Right now it's across both
[1:40:37] lanes of traffic. Um not super deep, but um I'm sure God was aware.
[1:40:46] » I don't know today. I was sure it was there last week.
[1:40:48] » Yeah. And I will tell you there is a problem and you're aware of it.
[1:40:53] I tried dealing with it. There's a gentleman that has a dam and he puts
[1:40:59] more material on top of it. We've had gravel to that road several times. I've
[1:41:04] addressed it through DC. I when we work for the APA, I used to go
[1:41:08] in there and knock on the door a while back and pull some material off. The
[1:41:14] last time I was in there, it was a heavy windtorm. I had all the guys getting
[1:41:19] ready. It was a Friday or Saturday. I think it was I think it was a Friday we
[1:41:22] were off. It was it was around 410. I was very tired at the end of the day.
[1:41:26] I took one of my guys. We came in from room three. We didn't try to hide. His
[1:41:30] house was right there. Great big glass windows. He came out short version. He
[1:41:34] threw me out the property because he wanted to go to the he wanted me to go
[1:41:37] to the center of the dam. And I said because there's a drop off and there's a
[1:41:42] lot of sticks. But what's also being put in there is grass clippings. be around
[1:41:46] clipping grass rocks the size of basketballs and it's
[1:41:51] built up and that's one of the issues tried addressing it and you remember we
[1:41:55] had a phone conversation right out of this office and he called after one time
[1:42:00] I've been there >> yeah there's also
[1:42:03] » there's another dam that's probably
[1:42:08] » and Chris used to miss >> he's not
[1:42:14] okay >> I just thought I'd mention that And then
[1:42:16] finally, um, I've been working on a a document
[1:42:22] that's going to highlight the recreation facilities
[1:42:26] of the town. >> Oh, okay. Yeah.
[1:42:28] » Um, I have a draft that's available. What I'm thinking of
[1:42:34] is [clears throat] maybe after you have a chance to look it over,
[1:42:39] maybe just putting it out on the website.
[1:42:42] » Okay. >> Um, if you want, I can submit something
[1:42:47] for the newsletter, but it's kind of it's kind of long. It might be too long
[1:42:51] for the news. >> But anyway, I'm just trying to uh you
[1:42:57] know, highlight all the different recreation facilities
[1:43:00] cuz there's, you know, 40,000 acres of state land and then 35,000
[1:43:06] acres of conservation easement lands. So there's trails,
[1:43:13] you know, that people should be aware of parking.
[1:43:18] » You know, a lot of that, a lot of it is on the
[1:43:22] » very sure. >> Okay.
[1:43:23] » Right. But this kind of elaborates on a lot of that
[1:43:28] » and particularly gets into the activities like hiking, biking,
[1:43:35] snowing, etc.
[1:43:38] So just to make you aware at some point >> I will submit that. Okay.
[1:43:45] » I think that the website and it also changes with time some of
[1:43:51] the trails. >> Would that also contribute to any point
[1:43:54] for violence for our community? >> Yeah.
[1:44:00] » We won't find out educational very educational.
[1:44:07] Yeah. Okay. And I just there's another one I
[1:44:10] have to go over which I should have done on this last month and seems again doing
[1:44:14] it also. Um your association um is kind of
[1:44:20] submitted a resolution for all the towns to take um would like someone from our
[1:44:25] town to be down there to attend this. We can do the resolution here also but um
[1:44:31] other bill rights. But would anybody like to go down September to be present
[1:44:36] for this? Can you see the date? It's it's uh it's 250 anniversary for their
[1:44:43] associations and families.
[1:44:49] » Is that overnight or just be over? You can't be all day. Um
[1:44:56] » what's the date?
[1:45:03] Let me see.
[1:45:08] I thought Oh, there it is. Um, so if one of you would like to attend,
[1:45:13] they could appoint someone to go down. It' be very nice. It's on September
[1:45:17] 23rd, 21st at uh Pine Navy Country Club on the Alexa Dog tournament. Thank
[1:45:26] » Monday, too. Okay.
[1:45:30] » The four seasons.
[1:45:33] » All right. September 22nd to the 23rd. >> And we can have more than one go. Um
[1:45:39] it's $175 per member. We pre-register. We say that all go built in.
[1:45:47] And if there's a conference is what it is.
[1:45:50] » When do you have to know about?
[1:45:54] » 26. August 26. I know. [laughter] Jordana's late, too. I saw it.
[1:45:59] » So, that was a Tuesday and a Wednesday. >> Yes.
[1:46:02] » There you go. >> Would you mind? No. Would you like to
[1:46:06] go? >> I don't think so. No.
[1:46:09] » You need someone to go. Is that Is that mandatory?
[1:46:12] » Would you like to go? >> All right.
[1:46:17] » So, um other
[1:46:23] information. >> Okay. So it's it's about where has town
[1:46:25] government provides services essential to the vitality and success of New York
[1:46:29] State like maintaining and repairing roadways, protecting neighborhoods and
[1:46:33] businesses, guiding and supporting growth and economic development, and
[1:46:36] acting as the first line of defense, communication, and safety to all
[1:46:40] residents every day of the calendar year. Whereas towns in New York state
[1:46:44] are synonyominally diverse, ranging in population, geography, demographics, and
[1:46:49] other factors, and decisions are best made at the local level by the
[1:46:53] government that best understands their town's attributes, challenges, and
[1:46:57] character. Whereas 933 towns in New York State are claimed as home owned by more
[1:47:03] than 9.1 million New Yorkers, New York town should not be considered
[1:47:07] subsidiaries of the state, but rather as partners to shaping New York's future.
[1:47:13] So the bill of rights is to protect and defend our municipal home rule
[1:47:17] um of the federal government closest to the people's best positions to
[1:47:21] understand local needs. Balancing competitive balance competing interests
[1:47:27] and making decisions that shape daily life in meaningful ways. Preserving that
[1:47:32] authority matters not just for towns but for the health of local democracy
[1:47:37] itself. Protect our lands. to guide our development. Land use and zoning
[1:47:41] decisions belong in local hands, not in statewide zoning schemes or arbitrary
[1:47:45] shot clock deadlines that ignore the voice of residents and elected officials
[1:47:50] that live there. Freedom from unfunded mandates. Local taxpayers should not be
[1:47:55] expected to bear the brunt of orders placed by bureaucrats in Albany and
[1:47:59] Washington DC. Taxpayers deserve fairness and local budgets need relief.
[1:48:04] Number four is monogize transpar transparency, accessibility and
[1:48:08] engagement, outdated public notice requirements, soak up very essential
[1:48:13] dollars and school budget by forcing them to pay money for print public
[1:48:17] notices that can be up in this and are counterproductive civic awareness. And
[1:48:22] number five is a voice in the city impacting our hometowns. A true
[1:48:27] partnership between the state of New York and its local governments will
[1:48:30] propel the entire state forward and bear dividends to benefit all New Yorkers as
[1:48:34] a governing body closest to more than 9.1 million New York New Yorkers. Town
[1:48:39] government should be treated by the state as true partners not as an afterth
[1:48:44] of thought or world theory. So, do I get a motion to accept New York State's bill
[1:48:49] of rights for social to >> Sounds wonderful. I move
[1:48:55] » I'll make the motion. Second. Yeah. All in favor?
[1:48:59] » I Leo will be down to represent. Thank you.
[1:49:04] » Okay. Motion to adjurnn. >> Are we going to post this?
[1:49:07] » Oh, it's on. Oh, wait. I forgot. Okay. Good thing every
[1:49:12] » I didn't. >> Okay. That is important there. Um, so we
[1:49:16] got a letter from the fire chief uh McNap. On behalf of the officers and
[1:49:22] members of Linddale Fire Department, I would like to express our sincere
[1:49:26] sincere appreciation for the outstanding support of Santa Cl volunteer fire
[1:49:30] department was provided since the establishment of our automatic mutual
[1:49:34] aid agreement in 2021. That agreement is provided. We're an automatic daytime
[1:49:39] response to Louisville residents that have been an invaluable resource to our
[1:49:42] community we serve. Over the past five years, your members have responded to
[1:49:47] numerous insists alongside our firefighters with professionalism,
[1:49:49] dedication, a spirit of operation that exemplifies the fire service. We're
[1:49:54] grateful for the assistance your department has provided and a strong
[1:49:57] working relationship that has developed between our organizations.
[1:50:01] After careful review of our operation needs capabilities, the Blooming
[1:50:06] volunteer fire department has determined that this automatic mutual aid request
[1:50:10] is no longer necessary. Accordingly, this better serves as formal notice that
[1:50:15] the request for automatic mutual aid established in 2021 will be terminated
[1:50:20] effective Monday, August 31st at 7:00 a.m. The towns of Franklin and St. Arman
[1:50:25] have been notified of this decision and the Franklin County officer Office of
[1:50:30] Emergency Services will be notified no later than Friday, August 7th, 2026 so
[1:50:36] that the appropriate dispatch procedures may be updated before the effective
[1:50:40] date. Please accept our sincere thanks for the unwavering support department
[1:50:44] has provided over the years. We greatly value the relationship between our
[1:50:48] departments and the floor to continue to work together under fun under our
[1:50:51] existing mutual aid agreements whenever assistance feels required. The
[1:50:55] Bloomingdale Volunteer Fire Department remains committed to responding whenever
[1:50:58] the Senate Volunteer Fire Department requests our assistance and we
[1:51:02] appreciate knowing that we can continue to count on your department when the
[1:51:06] need arise. So this is uh respectfully Michael Woodruff. I attended a meeting
[1:51:11] with Deina, myself um and Morris from 911 for this and they
[1:51:19] explained to us why they were doing it and it was more just sometimes I think
[1:51:25] they just start heading out. There was enough guys here to cover it. So they
[1:51:29] would tell them to go back. They didn't need them. So they'd be halfway here and
[1:51:33] they would complain if they got called out or halfway there around.
[1:51:37] » So I think there's the reason. There's more of the story. If you want to know
[1:51:39] if you call Mike, he'll explain it to you.
[1:51:41] » No, >> I mean
[1:51:46] no he's supposed to chief at um the fire department.
[1:51:50] » This a notice we might want to put on the website.
[1:51:53] » We can Yeah, I was going to have it's part of our
[1:51:58] » No, they probably listed it to us. >> So I'm sorry. You're right. That's my
[1:52:05] Okay. also Twitter.
