[5:28] discuss because he was the one that was

[5:30] handling it. Um 83 2025, as Mr.

[5:34] our engineer said asking uh your support

[5:36] with respect to bringing in additional

[5:38] funding for our construction projects.

[5:45] bringing appropriations back up for an

[5:46] update. Um you know traditionally we do

[5:48] that two to three times a year about

[6:12] which allows us to purchase items for

[6:14] state bid and under state bid. This is

[6:16] just allowing us access to additional

[6:18] bid projects to bring us in items at a

[6:20] cheaper rate. So that's all I have this

[22:54] to get my information out. I am not an

[22:58] outsider. I've been an insider for a

[23:01] very long time because I was born at Mry

[23:03] Mount and I was raised here. Like I

[23:05] said, I'm a sixth generation here and an

[23:07] alumni and I will not be silenced. I've

[23:11] got my stopwatch going, too.

[23:14] I don't have to run around for attention

[23:16] with my veterans hat on like I've got

[23:18] today, but I just used it for purposes

[23:22] like other people do, make videos, be a

[23:24] watchdog, or read the book that commonly

[23:28] known as the spook that's sat by the

[23:30] door, or get my point across, or have a

[23:32] seat at the table because I don't want

[23:34] or need any attention. I just come here

[23:38] to help my community like I always do

[23:41] that I have been doing. And I give

[23:44] service to the people for free like my

[23:48] kids do, like my family has done for

[23:50] years. I just want my voice to be heard

[25:52] month is October which is breast uh

[25:56] breast cancer awareness month and we all

[25:59] know that it's a time for you know

[26:00] people to stand together and fight

[26:02] against breast cancer. We um honor the

[26:06] survivors. We remember those that we've

[26:08] lost and support those that still battle

[26:10] it. Awareness saves lives through early

[26:13] detection, education, and compassion. So

[26:16] today I wore pink in honor of breast

[26:18] cancer month and I would like to

[26:20] continue to spread hope throughout our

[26:22] city and you know everywhere and to

[26:24] continue working um towards a future

[26:27] where we all can face these this disease

[26:30] and we're not alone. And that is all I

[26:32] have. Oh and thanks to everyone who came

[26:34] out to my sixth annual um breast cancer

[26:37] walk. It was a really nice turning up.

[26:39] had about 75 people and I look forward

[26:42] to seeing people next year

[31:11] over 30 years on 102nd Street. And uh

[31:15] the mayor along with all council we have

[31:18] a proclamation for her family

[31:20] recognizing her dedication to her family

[31:23] and to the city of Garfield Heights. And

[31:25] I wanted to make sure that we made that

[31:26] announcement tonight on her behalf.

[31:29] Uh secondly, I want to thank again all

[31:31] those that did come out to the fall fest

[31:33] here at city hall over the past weekend.

[31:35] It was a beautiful event and uh it just

[31:38] went over so well and I just thank again

[31:41] that uh the children and the families

[31:43] that came out. It shows the strength of

[31:46] our diversity of our city. Uh all the

[31:48] wars were represented at that uh

[31:51] function this weekend and again it just

[31:53] shows you the strength and diversity of

[31:55] this city. Let me say with all clarity,

[31:59] I'll speak on my own behalf on this

[32:00] issue. Yes, city council has is going to

[32:05] go in different directions in the

[32:06] future. Part of that direction is that

[32:09] we created a handbook so that we all

[32:11] know what our authority is as council

[32:13] members and our duties and

[32:15] responsibilities to you, the residents.

[32:18] At no time we ever consider

[32:22] silencing the voice of anyone in this

[32:24] city that has an issue that they brought

[32:26] to their city council member and then it

[32:29] was not resolved at the city level. So

[32:32] that is false. We're not posing to

[32:35] eliminate anyone from speaking. What

[32:37] we're doing is looking at the

[32:38] possibility. It's not even been uh

[32:41] discussed in committee by councel yet

[32:44] that we would silence anyone whatsoever.

[32:46] What we said we would do is consider

[32:48] consolidating the two formats that we

[32:51] have where we would condense it down to

[32:53] one for the sake of efficiency and time.

[32:57] This is not to uh not allow anyone to

[33:00] say how they feel about what's going on

[33:02] in their ward or in the city under

[33:04] direction of either the mayor or any

[33:06] council member. So I didn't want that to

[33:08] get out there and be said that we're not

[33:10] trying to be transparent. That's not the

[33:11] case. It will be discussed in committee.

[33:14] we will talk about it in the future.

[33:17] That is not going to take place anytime

[33:18] soon. So, I just want to be clear on

[33:21] that. Uh, last but not least, I want to

[33:24] thank everyone in Ward 4 for their

[33:26] overall uh particip participation in all

[33:30] of the events that we held this summer

[33:32] from our block party to our meet and

[33:34] greets all the way down to uh all the

[33:37] festivities that we held in our monthly

[33:39] meetings. We will continue that after

[33:42] the election in November. So again,

[33:44] we're looking forward to having a

[33:46] Christmas party for Ward 4 and we're

[33:48] excited about uh the future of Ward 4 in

[33:51] the city of Garfield Heights. With that
