[0:34] first item was concerns with the burned structure at Snyder and Ross are not

[0:39] being abated. The mayor will send the landowner a

[0:42] letter to ask for an abatement plan, no other action at this time.

[0:47] Number two was to review the livestock ordinance 9403 and determine if changes

[0:52] will be made. After listening to public comments and discussion by the

[0:56] committee, the committee voted to leave the ordinance as is.

[1:00] Number three is review ordinance chapter 72 bicycles. The committee decided the

[1:05] ordinance should be updated to include scooters, skateboards, e-bikes, and

[1:09] other wheeled vehicles. The mayor asked the committee members to

[1:13] look at other towns' ordinances and send her suggestions for the new ordinance.

[1:18] It will be reviewed at the next ordinance meeting.

[1:21] The mayor explained she and the police and the ambulance will go to Jefferson

[1:25] and Lincoln schools to discuss safety issues and provide information for

[1:30] students to take home. The meeting adjourned at 6:12

[1:35] submitted by myself. And next we have um the personnel

[1:42] committee meeting and Clyde's the chairman of that one.

[2:07] enforcement officer worker. Uh, Mayor proposed ideas to fund the part-time

[2:11] position through marijuana taxes, fees, licenses, and look at possible funds

[2:16] through the city court consolidation. We do not want to add the position once

[2:19] we refund this due to mill values. We are getting about $30,000 less this

[2:23] year. The Mayor recommends the worker identify

[2:27] identify issues but but not write tickets.

[2:34] to attend state law enforcement academy, and the Mayor did not think that was a

[2:37] good idea to use funds at this time. Councilman Dragon asked if fees and

[2:46] not be practical to rely on that, and the position should be funded. Director

[2:49] of Operations, John Summers, said we do have some mills that we didn't use and

[2:53] are banking them in that capacity to pay for a position of 24,000. Um,

[2:57] Councilwoman Keller, which is myself, stated that she felt the position could

[3:00] be funded through the police department budget.

[3:04] I submitted the first report that corrected it.

[4:43] The impact on the general fund will only be about $4,500, so it's not much, but

[4:48] I feel like we know it's coming, we might as well prepare for it. So, I did

[4:54] go ahead and add that to the numbers that you see on the worksheets I handed

[4:58] out before the meeting. That is already incorporated.
