[0:00]
Um, good evening. I'm going to call this
[0:01]
meeting to order. This is a meeting of
[0:03]
the city of Boston licensing board.
[0:05]
Today is Tuesday, March 24th, 2026. The
[0:09]
time is 6:36
[0:11]
p.m. Um, we're located here having our
[0:13]
meeting in live person at the Hover
[0:15]
Masters Office conference room at the
[0:16]
Hover Masters office located at 19
[0:18]
Havaloop. Lost the math. Um we are
[0:21]
experiencing some technological issues
[0:24]
here tonight with Zoom which is the
[0:26]
reason why we started late for um we're
[0:30]
six minutes late starting the meeting.
[0:31]
Um however we're going to do the best we
[0:33]
can with what we have which is
[0:35]
individual computers being used as
[0:37]
opposed to having the big screen. Um
[0:41]
so I'll make the public announcement
[0:42]
that the public is welcome to attend our
[0:44]
meetings in person or alternatively
[0:45]
through the Zoom link listed on the
[0:46]
agenda. The meeting notice will reflect
[0:48]
if this meeting is a Zoom only meeting,
[0:50]
which it is not. As amendments to the
[0:53]
open meeting law allows, the licensing
[0:54]
board may continue to hold meetings
[0:56]
remotely. Please note that the in-person
[0:58]
meeting will not be suspended or
[1:00]
terminated if technological problems
[1:02]
interrupt the remote connection. So, if
[1:04]
for some reason this connection is
[1:07]
discontinued during our meeting, um it
[1:10]
is likely that many of our discussion
[1:12]
items of the board will be continued
[1:14]
until our next meeting. Um, but let's
[1:16]
see how this works. So, we'll start with
[1:19]
introductions.
[1:20]
>> Uh, Rob McCari, building commissioner,
[1:23]
>> Natasha Dale Clark, Melissa Prince,
[1:25]
licensing board,
[1:27]
>> John Leon, licensing board.
[1:29]
>> Um, I don't believe member Ted Posta is
[1:31]
going to be joining us tonight. Um, so
[1:34]
we are going to start our agenda with
[1:37]
seasonal package store wine and malt
[1:39]
beverage license renewals. um because of
[1:42]
the voice awesome system that we have
[1:46]
where you upload your documents to the
[1:50]
um city website um when we have this
[1:54]
meeting to renew, we know that all the
[1:56]
documents are on file and we don't have
[1:58]
to review them individually anymore. So,
[2:00]
it makes things very quick. Um, and I I
[2:04]
think um John can agree with me going
[2:07]
forward when we do these types of
[2:09]
renewals for the package store and um
[2:12]
malt beverage license renewals um you'll
[2:15]
likely um not have to appear here in
[2:17]
person, have the option to sign off um
[2:20]
sign on to Zoom and watch, but um we
[2:23]
will likely not go through each
[2:25]
application of renewal individually
[2:28]
unless there is a reason um if there's
[2:30]
an issue with the application.
[2:32]
Um, so with that being said, um, there
[2:35]
are one, two, three, four, five package
[2:39]
store wine and malt beverage license
[2:40]
renewals and we're going to do that in
[2:43]
one motion. So Laura, I know you're here
[2:46]
for one of those. Um, and I'll let you
[2:49]
address the board if you need to um,
[2:51]
after we do the motion, but if you're
[2:52]
all set.
[2:54]
>> All set. Nothing's changed.
[2:58]
>> So um, do we have a motion? Do you under
[3:00]
the motions or do you want
[3:02]
>> Go ahead.
[3:03]
>> Um I'm going to move that we approve
[3:04]
seasonal package store wine and malt
[3:06]
beverage license renewals for DATI Inc.
[3:09]
DBA Tony's variety at 183 Washington
[3:12]
Street Pastio Via Corta Inc. I wish I
[3:16]
spoke Italian at 123 Main Street. JMY
[3:20]
Corporation DBA Little River Mart 300
[3:23]
Essex AB Common Crow Natural Health Inc.
[3:26]
200 Eastern AB and Laura Lee DBA the
[3:28]
cave 44 Main Street.
[3:32]
>> Second.
[3:33]
>> So move and a second. Is there any
[3:35]
further discussion? No.
[3:36]
>> All in favor?
[3:37]
>> I opposed. Those votes carry. Um so I
[3:41]
meant to read the directions that if you
[3:43]
wanted to address us, you can raise your
[3:45]
hand using the raise hand button or push
[3:48]
star nine um if you'd like to address
[3:51]
the board. So, if there is anyone on
[3:53]
Zoom, we do have 21 attendees on Zoom
[3:56]
right now. If there's anyone on Zoom
[3:57]
that wants to address the motion that
[4:00]
and the approvals that we just gave for
[4:01]
those package stores, um, please use
[4:04]
those methods of raising your hand or
[4:07]
pressing star 9
[4:12]
and I do not see any. Okay, so we can
[4:14]
move on. Thank you for coming.
[4:17]
>> Thank you.
[4:19]
>> Good luck.
[4:20]
um seasonal package store all alcohol
[4:22]
beverage license renewal. We have Energy
[4:24]
North, Inc. 73 Essex AB. Um it's my
[4:28]
understanding um to our clerk that
[4:30]
Carrie cannot attend tonight. However,
[4:32]
all the documents are on file. Um and
[4:35]
there's been no changes to the license
[4:38]
application.
[4:40]
So, I'm going to move that we approve
[4:41]
the seasonal package for alcohol
[4:43]
beverage license renewal for Energy
[4:45]
North, Inc. located at 73 Essex Tab.
[4:48]
Second.
[4:49]
Um, any further discussion? All in
[4:52]
favor? I opposed. The vote carries.
[4:57]
Okay.
[4:58]
>> Yes. Um, we're just going to skip over
[5:00]
real quick to common victual license
[5:02]
renewals. Um, and get those out of the
[5:05]
way and then we will go back to the
[5:07]
seasonal license. Um, so common victual
[5:10]
licenses, those are not done
[5:12]
individually. We do them in one motion.
[5:15]
Um, the paperwork is here on file.
[5:18]
There's no individual re review re for
[5:20]
each of these um required at this time.
[5:23]
So I'm going to move that we approve the
[5:25]
common vual license renewals for 51
[5:28]
Rocky Neck Inc. BBA 51 Rocky Neck 51
[5:30]
Rocky Neck A Inquamia Club Inc. 17 River

[6:27]
Group LLC DBA Yellow on the water 31
[6:30]
Western A. So those are all common vual
[6:33]
licenses. Um and then we move to approve
[6:36]
>> second.
[6:36]
Um any further discussion? All
[6:39]
in favor? I
[6:40]
>> I those licenses are renewed.
[6:43]
So we're going to go back to the
[6:45]
seasonal restaurant all alcohol beverage
[6:47]
license renewals and we are going to
[6:48]
start with 51 Rocky Neck Inc. DBA 51
[6:51]
Rocky Neck 51 Rocky Neck AB who is the
[6:55]
seasonal restaurant license renewal and
[6:57]
entertainment licenses. So Patrick Herd
[7:00]
has his name I mean his hand raised. We
[7:03]
should move him in.
[7:06]
Yes.
[7:12]
I can do all three.
[7:14]
>> Yes, I can do that. Yeah.
[7:16]
>> Y I'm going to do these in one motion
[7:19]
without like standing.
[7:25]
» He looks like he's muted.
[7:29]
>> Patrick, can you hear us?
[7:31]
>> I can hear you. Can you hear me?
[7:33]
>> Yes, you can. Can you just state your
[7:34]
name and address for the record, please?
[7:36]
Patrick Herd, 51 Rocky Neck, Glouester,
[7:38]
Massachusetts.
[7:40]
>> Thank you for joining us tonight. So,
[7:42]
we're at a annual review. Um, and we
[7:45]
have all your documentation.
[7:48]
Um, any changes this year?
[7:50]
>> Uh, very little. Just trying to keep
[7:52]
making better and better.
[7:56]
>> So, your operating hours is staying the
[7:57]
same.
[7:58]
>> Yes, exactly.
[8:00]
>> Okay. Um, and tell me about
[8:03]
entertainment. What is the plan for
[8:05]
entertainment this year? I know you
[8:06]
requested um weekly and Sunday
[8:08]
entertainment.
[8:10]
>> Entertainment will remain pretty much
[8:12]
what it was last year. We may try to do
[8:14]
a little bit more on some Sunday
[8:15]
afternoons, but right now we're just
[8:17]
doing Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
[8:19]
nights ending music at 10:30 at the
[8:21]
latest um live entertainment. And maybe
[8:24]
we'll do some Sunday afternoons uh
[8:26]
brunch lunch and brunch jazz.
[8:30]
>> And that's indoors, outdoors, or both.
[8:32]
Uh both.
[8:34]
>> Both. Okay. And have you had any noise
[8:37]
complaints?
[8:38]
>> Zero in the fir in our first two years.
[8:40]
Zero.
[8:40]
>> Awesome. Okay. Great.
[8:43]
>> Um do you have any questions, John?
[8:45]
>> Erica, do you have any um anything you
[8:47]
want to say before we make the motion to
[8:49]
approve?
[8:50]
>> No.
[8:52]
>> Okay. I'm going to make a motion that we
[8:54]
approve the seasonal alcohol beverage
[8:56]
licensing for 51 Rocky Neck Inc. PDA 51
[8:59]
Rocky 51 Rocky Nash Avenue.
[9:03]
>> Second.
[9:03]
>> Any further discussion?
[9:05]
>> All in favor? I oppos. The vote carries.
[9:09]
Um
[9:11]
Patrick, what time do you start
[9:12]
entertainment?
[9:15]
>> Oh, well, normally we started at about
[9:17]
uh 7 o'clock at night.
[9:19]
>> Seven. Nothing during the day. Um,
[9:22]
again, once in a while on a Sunday,
[9:24]
which will start at about 1:00 in the
[9:25]
afternoon,
[9:27]
>> but we never do Sunday evening
[9:28]
entertainment.
[9:31]
>> I was going to say you start at 12. Give
[9:32]
you that option. That
[9:35]
>> is that okay?
[9:36]
>> Yeah, that's great.
[9:38]
>> Can I make a motion that we approve
[9:39]
entertainment renewal for both indoor
[9:41]
and outdoor entertainment for 51 Rocky
[9:45]
Neck, Inc., DVDA 51 Rocky Neck 51 Rocky
[9:47]
Neck AB U beginning at 12:00 p.m. noon
[9:50]
um ending at 10:30 p.m.
[9:53]
>> Second.
[9:54]
>> Any further discussion? No.
[9:56]
>> All in favor?
[9:57]
>> I oppose. The vote carries.
[10:00]
>> Do you have any questions for us?
[10:02]
>> I don't.
[10:03]
>> Thank you very much. Wishing you a great
[10:05]
season.
[10:06]
>> Thank you very much. Hope to see you all
[10:07]
then. Take care.
[10:09]
>> Take care. Um, next door business is DAB
[10:13]
Restaurant Group LLC, DBA Yellow on the
[10:16]
water, 31 Western for license renewal
[10:18]
and entertainment. And we have attorney
[10:20]
Joel Babaza.
[10:27]
» Hi Joel.
[10:28]
>> Hi. Good evening.
[10:30]
>> For the record, Seaside Leo Solutions,
[10:33]
123 Main Street here on behalf of DAB
[10:35]
Restaurant Group.
[10:37]
>> Thank you very much. Um, when is yellow
[10:40]
plan on opening this year? If
[10:42]
>> we get a positive vote tonight, it'll be
[10:44]
April 1st, about a week from tomorrow is
[10:46]
the the anticipated start date. They had
[10:48]
their food safety inspection today. That
[10:51]
went fine. Dumpster permits been
[10:53]
renewed. So, I think um we have
[10:55]
everything in order except for the
[10:56]
annual stuff we need this board.
[10:58]
>> Okay, great. Um, so no changes?
[11:03]
>> No changes to the entertainment or the
[11:05]
license for the liquor. And what is the
[11:08]
hours of entertainment? I I check with
[11:10]
that on all every time.
[11:11]
>> Yep. So it is um noon to 10 Monday
[11:15]
through Thursday,
[11:17]
noon to 11 on Friday and Saturday and
[11:21]
then before 100 p.m. to 1000 p.m. on
[11:25]
Sunday because that's how the Sunday
[11:27]
entertainment is framed.
[11:29]
>> Wait, what was that on Sunday? Sunday,
[11:32]
you have to call it before 1 p.m. So you
[11:34]
can't like pick a time like, you know,
[11:36]
noon or 11. You have to say before 1
[11:38]
until 10 p.m. So that the end time for
[11:41]
Sunday through Thursday is the same 10
[11:43]
p.m. Um, and it's 11 p.m. on Friday and
[11:46]
Saturday for the end time.
[11:48]
>> Okay. And have you aware of any noise
[11:51]
complaints for yellow?
[11:52]
>> Nope. Historically, the only complaint
[11:55]
we ever got was about a kitchen fan the
[11:57]
first year.
[11:58]
>> Okay.
[12:00]
So, I'm going to move that we approve
[12:02]
the seasonal alcohol beverage license
[12:04]
for DAB Restaurant Group LLC, DBA Yellow
[12:07]
on the water, 31 Western AB.
[12:09]
>> Second.
[12:09]
>> Any further discussion?
[12:11]
>> No. All in favor?
[12:12]
>> I I both carried. I'm going to move that
[12:16]
we approve entertainment for weekly and
[12:18]
Sunday for DAB Restaurant Group LLC DBA
[12:21]
Yellow on the water 31 Western A noon to
[12:24]
1000 p.m. Monday through Thursday, noon
[12:26]
to 11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday and
[12:29]
before 1:00 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday.
[12:31]
>> Second.
[12:32]
>> Any further discussion?
[12:34]
>> All in favor?
[12:35]
>> I vote carries.
[12:37]
>> Thanks so much. Have a good night.
[12:39]
>> Thank you, Joe. Do you have anything
[12:40]
else on or is that it?
[12:41]
>> That's it for me.
[12:42]
>> That was it. Okay. Thank you. Bye.
[12:49]
» Next order of business is Rocky Neck
[12:50]
Lobster Company, Inc. DBA to lobster,
[12:54]
115 East Main Street for renewal and
[12:58]
entertainment. And we have Tess Brown
[13:00]
here with us tonight.
[13:08]
» Hi.
[13:09]
>> Hello.
[13:10]
>> How are you?
[13:11]
>> Good. How are you?
[13:12]
>> Getting ready for the big day.
[13:14]
>> Yes, getting ready.
[13:16]
>> Lost is waiting.
[13:20]
>> Um, so we have their name and address.
[13:22]
>> Yeah. Can you just say your name and
[13:23]
address?
[13:24]
>> Uh, Tessa Brown, 32 Laurel Street,
[13:27]
Glouster.
[13:28]
>> Thank you.
[13:30]
Um, so I'm going to move that we approve
[13:32]
the seasonal restaurant or alcohol
[13:34]
beverage license for Rocky Nick Lobster,
[13:37]
DBA the Lobster, 115 East Main Street.
[13:39]
>> Second. Any further discussion? All in
[13:42]
favor? I oppose that license new. Um
[13:46]
Tess, can you tell me about
[13:47]
entertainment this year?
[13:51]
» Um we don't really have any plans for
[13:53]
entertainment, but sort of same as last
[13:54]
year. Um if we did a private event or
[13:57]
someone wanted to have indoor
[13:58]
entertainment, I know that the windows
[14:00]
have to be closed and all that. We just
[14:01]
want to have that option if that ever
[14:03]
arose, but we don't have plans of having
[14:05]
music on the weekends or at night or
[14:07]
outside or anything like that.
[14:10]
Okay. So, um, and do you know the time?
[14:13]
So, did you want it from like 10:00 a.m.
[14:15]
to midnight or something?
[14:17]
>> So, I guess we're supposed to close at
[14:19]
11:00. So, even like 10 to 10 is fine.
[14:22]
>> Okay.
[14:23]
>> Monday through Saturday and then on
[14:25]
Sundays, even 12 through 9 or whatever
[14:27]
is totally fine.
[14:30]
>> Okay. Um, I move that we approve
[14:33]
entertainment renewals from both weekday
[14:35]
and Sunday entertainment for Rocky Neck
[14:37]
Lobster, DVA the Lobster, 115 East Main
[14:40]
Street, um, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00
[14:42]
p.m. Monday through Saturday and then
[14:45]
noon to 900 p.m. on Sunday. And that's
[14:48]
indoor.
[14:49]
>> Second.
[14:51]
>> Any further discussion?
[14:53]
>> All in favor?
[14:54]
>> I vote carries. Um, T, do you have any
[14:57]
questions for us?
[14:59]
>> Nope.
[14:59]
>> All right. Thank you for joining us.
[15:02]
>> No problem. Thank you. Have a good
[15:03]
night.
[15:04]
>> You too. Take care.
[15:05]
>> All right. Bye.
[15:06]
>> Um, next door business is the
[15:08]
Triggerfield and Inc. DVA Lobster
[15:10]
Restaurant, 84 Causeway Street. Welcome
[15:14]
to
[15:16]
>> Glad you're here tonight.
[15:18]
>> Um, when is Lobster Land opening?
[15:21]
>> The 9th.
[15:22]
of April.
[15:23]
>> Yay. What can you guys just Oh, sorry.
[15:26]
She's all
[15:27]
>> Cory Gas 84 Causeway Street Glouster
[15:30]
Dale Gram 90 Glster.
[15:34]
>> Nice to meet you.
[15:35]
guys.
[15:37]
>> Um, okay. So, April 9th and
[15:41]
entertainment, same as last year.
[15:42]
>> Yeah. So, I mean 90% of our live
[15:45]
entertainment is just a a single male
[15:48]
female artist playing acoustic guitar.
[15:50]
Yep.
[15:51]
>> Um, we play Spotify uh from 11:30 when
[15:55]
we open until we close at 9:00 if
[15:57]
there's no live entertainment going on.
[16:00]
And um we have an occasional duo or
[16:04]
trio.
[16:05]
>> Okay. So, you start entertainment at
[16:08]
what time?
[16:08]
>> 11:30 when we open.
[16:11]
>> Well, if if entertainment is considered
[16:13]
>> It is.
[16:14]
>> Yeah.
[16:15]
>> At what time do you stop?
[16:16]
>> No.
[16:16]
>> Nine. I think I put 10 on on my
[16:18]
application just because Saturdays,
[16:20]
Fridays and Saturdays are open till
[16:22]
9:30.
[16:22]
>> So, we want 10.
[16:23]
>> Yeah.
[16:24]
>> And same with Sunday, right?
[16:25]
>> Yes.
[16:26]
>> Okay.
[16:29]
Did I put the like a restaurant license
[16:32]
already? I didn't know. Um I'm going to
[16:34]
move to approve the seasonal restaurant
[16:36]
called beverage license for the trio
[16:38]
building a DBA lobster land restaurant
[16:40]
84.
[16:41]
>> Second.
[16:42]
>> Any further discussion?
[16:44]
>> All in favor? I opposed. The vote
[16:47]
carries. I'm going to approve
[16:48]
entertainment. I move to approve the
[16:50]
entertainment renewal for uh Monday
[16:53]
through Saturday and also a Sunday
[16:55]
entertainment enter Sunday entertainment
[16:57]
license renewal for the Trio Building
[17:00]
Inc. DVA Lobster Land Restaurant Away.
[17:03]
Um starting at 11:30 a.m. and ending at
[17:08]
1000 p.m. both indoors and outdoors.
[17:11]
>> Yes. But we never have indoor. We're not
[17:13]
set up inside to ever have music inside.
[17:16]
>> And we don't play there's no
[17:18]
>> um PA system inside. So there's we don't
[17:21]
even do the Spotify inside.
[17:22]
>> So it's just outside.
[17:23]
>> Just outside.
[17:24]
>> Okay. Even if it rains,
[17:26]
>> if it rains, it's a cancellation.
[17:29]
>> They don't get to move inside.
[17:30]
>> But the streaming of the music.
[17:32]
>> No, they get shut.
[17:33]
>> Okay.
[17:34]
>> All right. So it's just outdoor only.
[17:36]
>> Yeah.
[17:36]
>> Thank you for that.
[17:39]
Um so I make a motion. Second.
[17:41]
>> Second. Any further discussion? All in
[17:43]
favor?
[17:43]
>> I oppose. The vote carries.
[17:50]
» Okay. Any questions? P, while you're
[17:51]
here.
[17:52]
>> I have one.
[17:52]
>> Yes.
[17:53]
>> Um,
[17:54]
just trying just taking this all in. The whoever the manager on record is on
[17:59]
the liquor license, which is right now
[18:01]
me.
[18:01]
>> Yep.
[18:02]
>> But does just one representative of the
[18:04]
restaurant have to be here to at this
[18:05]
meeting and not the manager on record?
[18:08]
Usually it's the manager on record that
[18:10]
>> there's an attorney on there.
[18:12]
>> Yeah. Forella. So he could represent his
[18:14]
client.
[18:14]
>> So could my son who's fully committed to
[18:17]
the restaurant represent Lobster Land if
[18:19]
I couldn't be here?
[18:21]
>> Yeah, we do that with Magnolia Pub. So
[18:24]
um
[18:26]
>> your role at the restaurant is
[18:28]
>> he's manager manager.
[18:29]
>> Manager but not the alcohol man. Not the
[18:32]
manager on the alcohol license.
[18:34]
>> Not yet.
[18:35]
>> Okay.
[18:36]
>> It's a hypothetical. Yeah,
[18:39]
>> I mean like I like I said earlier, we're
[18:41]
pretty much streamlining these now. It's
[18:42]
all about having the correct documents,
[18:44]
>> right?
[18:44]
>> And unless there's a change or something
[18:47]
or there's complaints or something, um I
[18:50]
would say that he can you can give him
[18:52]
the authority to represent you here.
[18:54]
>> Okay.
[18:54]
>> And if there is a a specific reason that
[18:56]
we would want you here, we would tell
[18:58]
you.
[18:58]
>> Yeah. And I I could communicate that
[19:00]
with the
[19:00]
>> Yeah.
[19:02]
>> Trying to make it easier. You can you
[19:03]
can stay warm on fire.
[19:06]
Just get to the point. You just want to
[19:07]
stay in warm fire
[19:09]
at the end of the day.
[19:12]
>> But I don't need to.
[19:13]
>> Yeah. I got I got I got feet on the
[19:16]
ground here.
[19:16]
>> Yeah. No, absolutely.
[19:19]
>> Yeah. Just in time.
[19:22]
>> Thank you very much.
[19:24]
>> Have a good night.
[19:25]
>> Well, if you want me to help
[19:28]
you shut your camera off. Um, next order
[19:31]
of business is JCG Investments LLC, DBA
[19:36]
Castleman N141 Essex AB on for renewal
[19:40]
and entertainment. And we have Kayn
[19:43]
Andrews.
[19:51]
» Hi, Kaylin. Can you say your name and
[19:52]
address for the record, please?
[19:54]
>> Yeah. Kayn Andrews, 7 Highland Terrace,
[19:56]
Beverly, Mass.
[19:58]
>> Thank you for joining us tonight. Um,
[20:00]
when do you plan on opening?
[20:02]
>> May 1st.
[20:04]
>> First, good for you. You excited?
[20:08]
>> We are. Once we get through all of our
[20:10]
renovations that we're doing right now,
[20:12]
I will be extremely better.
[20:15]
>> Can you um enlighten us with what
[20:17]
renovations you're doing?
[20:19]
>> Um, so we have 16 of our hotel bathrooms
[20:23]
being renovated um between the main
[20:25]
building and one of our motor lodge
[20:27]
buildings.
[20:30]
Are they in for approval tonight for
[20:33]
>> license? Yeah.
[20:34]
>> Okay.
[20:38]
» I don't see them.
[20:40]
>> Yeah.
[20:44]
» That'll do it.
[20:48]
» Okay. We're adding the list, too.
[20:51]
>> Um, okay. So, 16 bathrooms and what
[20:53]
else? Anything else? Or is that the
[20:55]
major renovation? That is the major
[20:57]
renovation this year.
[20:59]
>> A lot of bathrooms.
[21:02]
>> All right. So, regarding the seasonal
[21:04]
restaurant, all alcohol beverage, I move
[21:05]
to approve for the JCG Investments LLC
[21:09]
DBA Castle Manor in at 141 Essex.
[21:13]
>> Second.
[21:14]
>> All in favor?
[21:15]
>> No discussion.
[21:16]
>> Discussion. No. I I knew you wouldn't
[21:19]
discuss.
[21:22]
Um, so entertainment. Tell me about
[21:24]
entertainment this year. Oh.
[21:26]
Okay.
[21:29]
>> Yeah. So, um, entertainment hours this
[21:31]
year is Monday through Thursday, 11:00
[21:34]
a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Uh, Friday and
[21:37]
Saturday, 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. And
[21:40]
then Sunday is before 1:00 to 10:00 p.m.
[21:48]
» Okay. Indoor outdoor.
[21:50]
>> Uh, yes.
[21:52]
>> And the same manner that you had
[21:54]
described last year. Yes.
[21:56]
>> Okay. I move that we approve
[21:58]
entertainment renewals for both weekday
[22:01]
Saturday and Sunday for JCG Investments
[22:04]
LLC DBA Castle Mana in 141 Essex Monday
[22:07]
through Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 10 p.m.
[22:10]
Friday and Saturday 11 to 11 p.m. and on
[22:13]
Sunday before 1:00 p.m. to 10 p.m.
[22:16]
>> Second.
[22:17]
>> Any further discussion? All in favor?
[22:20]
>> I
[22:23]
vote carries. Okay. So, on your lodging
[22:25]
license,
[22:27]
um we have all the correct
[22:29]
documentation.
[22:30]
>> When do when do you expect the bathrooms
[22:32]
to be done?
[22:34]
>> I'm hoping in a couple of weeks we'll be
[22:36]
able to finish up. Um I know we're going
[22:38]
over a few things um this week to see if
[22:41]
that timeline still stands. Um then
[22:44]
we'll be able to once we get those
[22:46]
inspections done, I'll be able to
[22:48]
schedule the inspections that are needed
[22:49]
for these licenses.
[22:52]
>> Okay. So I'm going to make a motion to
[22:53]
approve the lodge and license of JCG
[22:55]
Investments LLC DBA Castle mana N141
[22:58]
Essex. Subject to passing inspections.
[23:02]
>> Second.
[23:02]
>> Any further discussion?
[23:04]
>> No.
[23:04]
>> All in favor? I oppose. The vote
[23:07]
carries. Um Kayen, do you have any um
[23:10]
questions for us?
[23:12]
>> No, I'm all set.
[23:13]
>> All right, great. Thank you so much.
[23:16]
>> Thank you. Have a good night.
[23:19]
Oh
[23:21]
um okay seasonal restaurant wine and
[23:24]
malt with a liquor license renewal. We
[23:27]
have Smickers Holding LLC DBA
[23:30]
33 River Road and we have Ariel and
[23:34]
Joshua Smith.
[23:38]
I am going to ask also if there's anyone
[23:40]
that wants to speak on this renewal if
[23:42]
you could raise your hand as well.
[23:46]
Hi, I'm here. This is Ariel Smith.
[23:50]
>> Can you say your name and address,
[23:51]
please?
[23:51]
>> Yep. It's Ariel Smith, 24 Walker Street,
[23:54]
Gloucester, Mass.
[23:56]
>> Thank you.
[23:56]
>> Josh is also here. He's just on a
[23:59]
different computer right now, but if you
[24:01]
need him to jump in, he can as well.
[24:04]
>> He should He He is promoted to a
[24:06]
panelist.
[24:07]
>> Yeah. Josh, can you introduce yourself
[24:12]
if you can?
[24:15]
I don't see him promoted.
[24:16]
>> Yeah, he's in there.
[24:17]
>> He is.
[24:18]
>> He's not muted.
[24:25]
» Okay. So, when is Tise planning on
[24:28]
opening this year?
[24:30]
>> We are going to open on Friday, May 8th.
[24:33]
>> May 8th. Any changes to the way you do
[24:36]
business this year?
[24:38]
>> No, it's going to be pretty much exactly
[24:40]
the same as last year. We're doing
[24:41]
dinner five nights a week, closed on
[24:44]
Monday, Tuesdays. Um, dinner service
[24:47]
goes from 5 to 9:00 p.m. And we do plan
[24:50]
on starting brunch on weekends. Um,
[24:54]
we're hoping to start in June, Saturdays
[24:56]
and Sundays, 9 to 1.
[24:59]
>> And that's something you did last year,
[25:01]
too, right?
[25:02]
>> We tried to. It was kind of a like
[25:05]
staffing thing. It was always in the
[25:06]
plan to um we didn't really end up doing
[25:09]
it for the full season last year. Um but
[25:13]
I know we were approved to. We just
[25:14]
chose not to.
[25:17]
>> Okay. Um
[25:20]
so
[25:22]
we received an email as we do every year
[25:24]
regarding uh this email is from Anthony
[25:27]
>> Pagnati.
[25:29]
>> Um I believe you were copied on it. I'm
[25:33]
just going to read into the record. I'm
[25:35]
sure you're aware of this. Um, but we
[25:37]
>> I did respond to it today as well. I
[25:38]
don't know if you got the response as
[25:40]
well,
[25:41]
>> but let me just I don't think I saw the
[25:44]
response if you sent me it. Um, but let
[25:46]
me just read this into the record. Um,
[25:48]
as we usually do, just to have it on
[25:49]
bio.
[25:50]
>> Sure.
[25:50]
>> So, woman from Janet McB
[25:55]
and I might say that wrong. I apologize.
[25:57]
and Barbara Pagnati. For a number of
[25:59]
years, we have annually communicated to
[26:01]
the licens and board our concerns and
[26:02]
requests regarding the operations of the
[26:04]
TIS restaurant. Licens and board is the
[26:06]
only official government entity
[26:07]
available to us for such communications.
[26:10]
We continue to believe that 33 river is
[26:13]
not an appropriate location for a
[26:14]
restaurant that is licensed to serve
[26:16]
wines, malt, cordless, and liquors
[26:18]
nightly. Our neighborhood, a village, is
[26:21]
residential and in the summer, River
[26:23]
Road, a narrow road, is very busy with
[26:25]
limited parking. The traffic generated
[26:27]
by the police restaurant only compounds
[26:29]
a difficult situation. Attaches the
[26:31]
email with a list of requests that we
[26:33]
have sent to Ariel and Josh Smith. It
[26:35]
has changed very little from our past
[26:37]
seasons. Their cooperation has been
[26:38]
appreciated. Thank you for your time.
[26:41]
Um, so you've had a chance to review
[26:44]
those
[26:46]
requests.
[26:47]
>> Yeah, I actually didn't see that first
[26:50]
part of it. Maybe that was just sent to
[26:52]
you guys, but we did get um where they
[26:57]
stated the renewal of your license is
[26:59]
coming um and then listed all of the
[27:01]
restaurant operations, side deck, noise,
[27:04]
kind of everything that we've gone over
[27:05]
in the years past and agreed to. Um that
[27:08]
is the part that we saw in the email and
[27:10]
I responded to them as well today.
[27:13]
>> Okay. Do you want to let us know what
[27:15]
that response was? Not that anyone ising
[27:18]
the the activity at the restaurant
[27:20]
except for the board. Just just working
[27:22]
so that there's mutual agreement um and
[27:25]
a happy little place down there in
[27:27]
Anform. So I'm just curious what your
[27:30]
response would be to the list that was
[27:32]
presented.
[27:33]
>> Yeah, of course. I said, "Hi neighbors,
[27:35]
there are no changes to the above
[27:37]
requests. We plan to open for the season
[27:39]
on May 8th, starting with dinner five
[27:41]
nights a week and launching weekend
[27:43]
brunch in June. that hours will remain
[27:45]
the same. We will continue to work
[27:47]
diligently with our staff to ensure they
[27:49]
understand the operating agreements for
[27:51]
running the restaurant in a neighborly
[27:53]
fashion. Currently, we have no full
[27:55]
buyouts. They had asked if we do um like
[27:57]
large parties and buyouts to let them
[28:00]
know of the dates. Um so I said
[28:02]
currently we don't have any booked for
[28:03]
the season. We do have some parties
[28:06]
renting the porch during normal
[28:07]
operating hours. Their contracts
[28:10]
prohibit consuming alcohol off of Tisa's
[28:12]
property, including the side deck. I
[28:14]
will pass along um the dates of any full
[28:17]
buyouts when we book throughout the
[28:19]
season.
[28:20]
>> Okay. So, it sounds like everything's
[28:22]
working. Proud
[28:24]
>> I think we've, you know, we have a it's
[28:26]
pretty much the same things we've agreed
[28:27]
to every season and we, you know, just
[28:29]
make sure we always have new staff every
[28:31]
year, so we make sure to just go over
[28:32]
everything with them as well.
[28:34]
>> Okay. Um John, do you have any
[28:36]
questions? No, I mean we really haven't
[28:38]
heard the last couple years, right? So I
[28:41]
don't have a lot of concern because we
[28:42]
don't hear from the neighbors um until
[28:44]
the annual. So keep doing whatever
[28:47]
you're doing because it's working. So
[28:49]
thank you
[28:49]
>> and you have a great reputation there. I
[28:52]
just want to love you.
[28:53]
>> Thank you.
[28:55]
>> Hey Ollie
[28:57]
wanted to say hi.
[29:00]
So um I can make a motion to approve the
[29:05]
seasonal restaurant wine and malt with
[29:07]
cordials license renewal form holding
[29:09]
LLC DBA to leaf 33 river
[29:12]
>> second.
[29:13]
>> Um any further discussion?
[29:16]
>> All in favor?
[29:17]
>> I oppos the vote carries. Um do you have
[29:20]
any questions for us?
[29:23]
>> No I don't think so.
[29:25]
Thank you for joining and thank you for
[29:27]
the neighbors for being great neighbors.
[29:30]
>> Yes, of course. Thank you.
[29:32]
>> Thanks guys.
[29:33]
>> bye.
[29:35]
>> Next order of business is seasonal club
[29:37]
all alcohol beverage license form yacht
[29:39]
club inc 17 river road and they also
[29:42]
have entertainment.
[29:45]
Um so anyone here from yacht club?
[29:49]
>> They are being voted.
[29:51]
>> Okay.
[29:54]
I don't know who it is. It's just a sat
[29:56]
club on. So it might be. Okay.
[29:58]
>> Hi.
[30:00]
Can you say your name and address
[30:01]
please?
[30:02]
>> Yeah. Carissa Febalo, 7 Ellery Street.
[30:05]
>> Hi, Cararissa.
[30:06]
>> Hi.
[30:07]
>> Um, when is Annis planning on opening
[30:09]
up? Yeah.
[30:10]
>> Um,
[30:12]
May 24th, Memorial Day weekend.
[30:15]
>> Okay. Any changes from last year?
[30:18]
>> Um, nope. Should all still be the same.
[30:22]
And
[30:23]
um you are looking for I thought I saw
[30:26]
entertainment.
[30:27]
>> Yeah. Sunday.
[30:28]
>> And tell me about the entertainment.
[30:31]
>> Um pretty much should be the same. We
[30:33]
have um
[30:36]
uh like plans for like acoustic one
[30:40]
person, two people things on Thursday
[30:42]
nights, which would be no later than
[30:46]
I don't think any are scheduled until
[30:48]
10:00 right now. So like 9 9:30. And
[30:51]
then we do have some weddings. So those
[30:54]
would go till probably 11.
[30:57]
>> Okay. So what time you
[31:00]
>> um
[31:02]
we really have nothing scheduled before
[31:07]
5
[31:08]
>> like later afternoon.
[31:10]
>> Yeah.
[31:11]
>> You never do anything during the day
[31:13]
except for on weekends maybe with
[31:14]
weddings.
[31:16]
Um, yeah, those would probably be later,
[31:18]
too. But I guess it's always safe to put
[31:21]
it if we want to just
[31:23]
trying to
[31:25]
>> 12:00 p.m. on.
[31:27]
>> Sure.
[31:28]
>> 12:01. What works better for you?
[31:30]
>> Um,
[31:32]
12 is fine just to be safe, I guess. But
[31:35]
>> And then on Sunday, do you It would be
[31:38]
before 1.
[31:41]
Okay.
[31:44]
So, I did I need the license.
[31:48]
>> Yeah, she just did it.
[31:50]
>> Sorry, it's been a long day. Um, I'm
[31:52]
going to approve the entertainment
[31:54]
license for
[31:56]
um Answ located at 17 River Road for
[32:00]
acoustic music. That's indoor and
[32:03]
outdoor, correct?
[32:05]
>> Uh, yeah. It's like a covered porch
[32:07]
area. But yeah,
[32:10]
>> starting at 12:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. on
[32:13]
weekdays and Saturdays and then on
[32:15]
Sunday before 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
[32:18]
Um, and I say move.
[32:20]
>> Second.
[32:21]
>> Any further discussion?
[32:22]
>> You haven't got any noise complaints,
[32:24]
have you? There.
[32:25]
>> Um, we didn't last year. I just asked
[32:28]
Nate cuz um but we do know like
[32:31]
particular neighbors um
[32:34]
>> light. So our commodor has been like
[32:37]
communicating
[32:38]
>> basically just what Tis was talking
[32:41]
about like they let them know like when
[32:43]
we are having weddings and things like
[32:45]
that just you know
[32:47]
>> okay
[32:47]
>> we're having a wedding please don't call
[32:48]
the police.
[32:51]
>> Okay
[32:53]
be working.
[32:54]
>> Yeah.
[32:55]
>> Okay. All in favor? I oppose. The vote
[32:58]
carries. Do you have any questions for
[32:59]
us?
[33:00]
>> No, I'm good.
[33:02]
>> Okay. Good luck. Have a great season.
[33:04]
Hopefully it warms up.
[33:05]
>> I know. Thanks.
[33:08]
Next door business is seasonal hotel
[33:10]
inkeeper. All alcohol beverage license
[33:12]
renewal for BI LLC DBA Ocean House Hotel
[33:16]
at Bass Rocks 107 Atlantic Road.
[33:21]
Is there anyone here?
[33:30]
then
[33:32]
um
[33:36]
so we have all the all the proper
[33:37]
paperwork and they had their
[33:38]
inspections.
[33:40]
>> They have not had their inspection.
[33:41]
That's probably why she's not on yet. Um
[33:44]
they're getting ready to schedule it. I
[33:46]
want to say next week.
[33:48]
>> Okay.
[33:48]
>> Um
[33:49]
>> are they ready for the schedules?
[33:50]
>> I hope so. They they called to ask for
[33:53]
it. So hopefully they're ready to
[33:54]
>> She emailed me,
[33:56]
>> did she?
[33:57]
>> Yeah, she was asked she she cannot
[33:59]
attend tonight's meeting. She was asking
[34:01]
if she could be continued to the 414.
[34:04]
>> We should find that should give us
[34:06]
enough time to be able to let you know
[34:07]
where they're at.
[34:09]
>> Do you think there's issues there?
[34:11]
>> What's that?
[34:12]
>> Inspection issues maybe.
[34:14]
>> I I just not really, but I just want to
[34:17]
I uh I haven't completed the process
[34:19]
since I've been issued the license. So
[34:21]
we want to make sure we
[34:24]
>> Okay.
[34:24]
>> Yeah. They were the ones that had the
[34:25]
temporary bar
[34:27]
>> that we wanted to Yeah. Yeah. So
[34:30]
>> we'll continue that. Okay.
[34:33]
>> Sorry, I didn't look at my email.
[34:36]
>> Lodging license binary associ
[34:44]
is it a little Elizabeth?
[34:46]
>> Yes, I believe that's
[34:49]
nice. One of the nicest spots in the
[34:51]
city, too. It's beautiful.
[34:53]
>> Have they had their set? Yep.
[35:00]
» She's a panelist.
[35:03]
I think she she got promoted.
[35:06]
>> That's the 14th, right?
[35:08]
>> Yes.
[35:10]
>> Um, and Elizabeth, if you can hear me,
[35:12]
can you unmute and state your name and
[35:13]
address for the record, please?
[35:24]
raised her hand, but she just needs to
[35:26]
unmute.
[35:31]
» What does that say?
[35:33]
>> Can you hear me now?
[35:34]
>> We can.
[35:35]
>> Okay, great. Hi.
[35:37]
>> Can you say your name and address for
[35:39]
the record, please?
[35:40]
>> Yes. Elizabeth Spaford, 12 Cambridge
[35:42]
Avenue, Gloucester.
[35:44]
>> Welcome. Um, When do you plan on opening
[35:48]
this season?
[35:49]
>> Um we we open for private rentals u
[35:53]
Memorial Day weekend.
[35:55]
>> Okay.
[35:55]
>> And then um and then the lodging house,
[35:58]
you know, and then you know the summer
[36:00]
season really um starts July 1, but um
[36:04]
we um we open as I said Memorial Day
[36:07]
weekend until um
[36:12]
until Labor Day.
[36:13]
>> Right. It's my understanding you've had
[36:15]
all your inspectors. Is it completed and
[36:17]
ready to go?
[36:18]
>> No, I've um I've put in the paperwork,
[36:20]
but we don't have it inspected until
[36:22]
we're ready to open. So, the I'll the inspectors will be on will come um
[36:28]
in late May.
[36:30]
>> It's been there already.
[36:32]
>> Okay.
[36:33]
>> That's what we we always do. Right.
[36:35]
now, we're it's still in winter
[36:36]
mode. So, um
[36:38]
>> Okay.
[36:39]
>> Not warm enough to open yet.
[36:41]
>> No, exactly.
[36:43]
>> No, it's not. Either way, it's should
[36:45]
never have any problems.
[36:47]
>> So, I'm going to move to approve the
[36:48]
Binmia Associates DBA, the Binmia 12
[36:50]
Cambridge AB subject to inspections.
[36:54]
>> Second
[36:55]
>> on that lodge and license. Um, any
[36:57]
further discussion? All in favor? I
[37:00]
opposed. The vote carries. Do you have
[37:02]
any questions for us?
[37:03]
>> I do not. Thank you very much.
[37:06]
>> Hi. Have a great season.
[37:07]
>> Thank you. Good night.
[37:09]
>> Good night.
[37:10]
>> So, I don't know.
[37:12]
I could be losing my brain.
[37:14]
>> Uh, no, she hasn't scheduled. Moving on
[37:16]
to discussions by the board. An update
[37:18]
on the selling of the liquor license
[37:19]
from Oliver's hob.
[37:22]
>> I think we have Joanne.
[37:38]
» Hi guys.
[37:40]
>> Hi. How are you? Good. How are you?
[37:42]
>> Very good. Um, can you just state your
[37:45]
name and address for the record?
[37:47]
>> Johanni Miranda, 177 Bridge Street,
[37:51]
Beverly, Mass.
[37:53]
>> Thank you for coming. Um, we are
[37:55]
requested you to be here to give us an
[37:57]
update on the sale of your license.
[38:00]
>> Yes. So, we have a verbal agreement with
[38:03]
the buyer. Um, so the lawyers should be
[38:08]
getting in touch with all the paperworks
[38:10]
and getting to you guys. Um, they
[38:13]
already have a business in Gloucester
[38:15]
that is doing really well, so it
[38:17]
shouldn't be an issue for them, but
[38:20]
that's kind of where we are.
[38:22]
>> So, it's a um it's an establishment
[38:25]
that's already established.
[38:27]
>> Yes.
[38:28]
>> Good to hear. Um, okay. Um I just wanted
[38:32]
to take note of um the we have rules and
[38:36]
regulations of the board and when
[38:38]
there's a cessation of operations
[38:41]
um it triggers the board to um give
[38:45]
notice when a license isn't being used
[38:48]
for a period of 30 days or more.
[38:51]
>> So that is why we requested you to be
[38:53]
here tonight
[38:55]
um to give us that update which we
[38:56]
appreciate. Um, do you have a timeline
[39:00]
for
[39:02]
this action, this transaction to happen?
[39:05]
>> Yes, it should be within the next couple
[39:08]
of months. Um, March or April. Well, we
[39:10]
are in March, April or May.
[39:14]
>> Okay. So,
[39:15]
>> for them to get in touch with you guys
[39:17]
and us complete the legal part we have
[39:19]
to do.
[39:22]
>> So, I am going to ask that you appear
[39:23]
again at our next meeting in uh no in
[39:26]
May.
[39:27]
at our May meeting which is May
[39:32]
a really good question something
[39:36]
>> May 12th
[39:38]
>> so May um I'd like to have you here at
[39:41]
the meeting um if the transaction has
[39:44]
not been filed
[39:45]
>> okay um I understand do take some time
[39:50]
but at the same time
[39:52]
it not a long time
[39:54]
>> right
[39:55]
>> I don't know if you can feel a pressure
[39:57]
here.
[39:58]
>> Not Oh, I feel it. Trust me.
[40:01]
>> Squad store is not happy when licenses
[40:03]
are not being used.
[40:05]
>> Yeah.
[40:05]
>> So, um we just take note of that. But,
[40:08]
um I'm excited to hear when we hear
[40:12]
whatever's going to happen.
[40:15]
>> Do you have any questions for us in the
[40:16]
meantime?
[40:17]
>> No, I don't think so.
[40:20]
>> Okay. So, May 12th.
[40:22]
>> May 12th.
[40:23]
>> We should know more.
[40:25]
>> Awesome. Sounds good.
[40:27]
>> Good luck.
[40:28]
>> Thank you so much.
[40:32]
>> Next order of business, did you have any
[40:34]
questions?
[40:38]
Meeting
[40:40]
review of lodging house license and Bob
[40:43]
license for open gov.
[40:44]
>> Yay.
[40:46]
>> So, just like the one day liquor
[40:50]
license, we're going to put these lovely
[40:52]
guys online.
[40:54]
>> Okay. They uh
[40:58]
I tweaked a few things for suggestions
[41:01]
from dealing with the other ones. So,
[41:03]
this is the lodging license. That's what
[41:05]
the license will look like. One thing
[41:07]
I'm going to have changed that's not on
[41:09]
there is uh is there's no expiration
[41:12]
date. So, we're going to make sure we
[41:13]
get that on there as well. That's not on
[41:16]
the license, but it's an easy twinkage
[41:19]
on the uh on the pamphlet. When I went
[41:22]
through
[41:24]
the process on that, it's pretty
[41:27]
straightforward. It these are the
[41:29]
questions it asks.
[41:30]
>> Yeah.
[41:31]
>> And this is the root of how it gets
[41:36]
approved. just so you understand how it
[41:38]
was easy to do this way than to try to
[41:39]
hook up my computer.
[41:41]
But it's it's the same questions that
[41:43]
are on um
[41:46]
the written license uh with a little
[41:49]
more in case there's an emergency
[41:51]
contact number. Uh god forbid something
[41:54]
happens and we need to get a hold of
[41:56]
someone quickly, an emergency management
[41:58]
company, that type of thing. If you
[42:00]
enter a yes, you have to list who the
[42:02]
management company is, their contact
[42:04]
information. Um, it'll start, the
[42:08]
approval process starts with Natasha.
[42:10]
They'll end up paying a fee after she
[42:13]
approves everything and then she waits
[42:15]
for a verification from us to do their
[42:18]
safety inspection. Then she'll schedule
[42:22]
a meeting schedule and put them on a
[42:24]
meeting and then once it's approved by
[42:26]
the board, then the license can be
[42:28]
printed, but not until then.
[42:30]
>> Okay.
[42:31]
>> Pretty straightforward. Talk to me about
[42:33]
permitting authority use. It says police
[42:36]
chief and like
[42:36]
>> some of that stuff is once you get past
[42:38]
which one you're looking at
[42:41]
that is basically for us to to to put
[42:43]
over that's in case we want the police
[42:46]
chief or say yourself to have a a check
[42:49]
box in case there's an issue like we get
[42:52]
a property. So
[42:54]
>> you know we are lodging place that has a continuing problem all the time. We
[42:59]
can have the police chief or someone who
[43:02]
represents the police department check
[43:04]
out to confirm that the problems have
[43:06]
been resolved before we issue licenses.
[43:08]
Okay, that's what that is. That's just
[43:10]
in case we we decide you guys want an
[43:13]
extra check box uh on the system.
[43:16]
>> We have it for our permit. We do it for
[43:18]
all the other departments in case it it
[43:21]
wasn't triggered but should be
[43:22]
triggered. We can chime in and have them
[43:25]
um sign sign that.
[43:28]
>> Okay.
[43:29]
No, it's great. It's all online.
[43:32]
>> Yeah, it's gonna I think it's going to
[43:33]
be a lot easier for us to track and keep
[43:36]
tabs on them.
[43:36]
>> Bob,
[43:37]
>> have that one as well. So, it looks very
[43:39]
similar.
[43:40]
>> Um, license wise. Again, no expiration
[43:43]
date. We'll get that changed. Get that
[43:44]
fixed because there's an expiration on
[43:46]
those, right? They're only good for one
[43:47]
year.
[43:47]
>> One year.
[43:48]
>> Okay. But we'll get that taken care of
[43:50]
as well.
[43:51]
>> It's January to December. It's not when
[43:54]
they apply for a year.
[43:56]
>> That's not a problem. We can do that.
[43:57]
And then again, it's very similar, but
[43:59]
the only difference is on this one, you
[44:02]
know, it's this is very similar to the
[44:04]
one day liquor license. Yeah.
[44:05]
>> About what you can and can't do and
[44:07]
everything like that.
[44:09]
>> The only little change on this one is
[44:12]
the police department has a review on
[44:14]
this
[44:15]
>> like they do uh because they had a
[44:17]
signature on the one day on the uh BYOB.
[44:21]
So, we gave them a thought. I will check
[44:23]
with Mr. Williams, K Williams right now
[44:26]
who uh will be assigned because I think
[44:29]
it should be the same person. Whoever
[44:30]
does this should do the um one day like
[44:34]
a license as well. It should be the same
[44:36]
representative. It should make things at
[44:38]
least go smoother.
[44:40]
>> Okay.
[44:40]
>> It's just a matter of clarifying who's got to do the the uh checks on
[44:46]
that.
[44:47]
>> Um
[44:49]
>> the other thing with that is so there
[44:51]
are four attachments that are required.
[44:54]
And those are the same things that are
[44:56]
required uh for the thing you if you do
[45:00]
not file something in those spots then
[45:04]
you will not get the it won't go forward
[45:06]
it stops. So you have to make sure you
[45:09]
upload something in those spots and
[45:10]
that'll be our job and inspectional
[45:13]
services to verify that they uploaded
[45:15]
the right paperwork in the right spots.
[45:17]
>> Can I add something to that?
[45:18]
>> Absolutely. I want to add that they have
[45:20]
reviewed the BYOB.
[45:23]
>> So, it's on there. So, if you go back on
[45:26]
I think a page on that,
[45:28]
>> there is a uh there's a link rep right
[45:31]
there. You have to click on that that
[45:33]
little box that says and then check it
[45:37]
and sign your name. And if you sign your
[45:39]
name,
[45:39]
>> you own it.
[45:40]
>> Got it. Perfect.
[45:41]
>> Oh, yeah. Make sure. And it brings you
[45:43]
right literally when we pick that bar.
[45:45]
It opens up a link
[45:47]
>> right on the city website on all the
[45:49]
rules for
[45:51]
>> Okay,
[45:56]
» good
[45:57]
idea.
[46:07]
If you were to actually go in to look at
[46:09]
this online, those four tasks are just a
[46:12]
blank piece of paper. I just scanned the
[46:13]
blank page paper to get it to move
[46:15]
through. But we will make sure when we
[46:18]
review these things um that the proper
[46:21]
documents are there. If they're not,
[46:22]
then it doesn't go any further till we
[46:24]
get what we want.
[46:25]
>> Um I'm thinking we got to add something
[46:27]
out.
[46:28]
>> What else?
[46:30]
>> Permission from the owner of the
[46:33]
property
[46:34]
>> property in case if they don't own it.
[46:36]
Okay, not a problem. And that'll be
[46:38]
basically depend on, you know, if you
[46:40]
own the property, if you don't own the
[46:42]
property.
[46:42]
>> So, it's written permission,
[46:43]
>> right?
[46:46]
» Property owner.
[46:49]
>> What I do is I I won't make that a
[46:52]
requirement, but we'll check as it goes
[46:53]
through the process and we'll ask it and
[46:56]
tell them to upload it. But yeah, I can
[46:57]
make it a spot, though. That's not a
[46:59]
problem. We did it for the other one,
[47:01]
too. Well, one day,
[47:03]
>> not a problem. Anything
[47:06]
else?
[47:06]
>> No, it's great.
[47:09]
>> Excellent.
[47:10]
work.
[47:11]
>> Hey, we practice.
[47:12]
>> Does that mean
[47:14]
our application
[47:15]
>> that will put everything for licensing
[47:17]
board online?
[47:18]
>> So when you go on to the city's website
[47:21]
and go on to online pering, go into that
[47:23]
system and go down to licensing.
[47:24]
Everything that
[47:26]
>> you guys deal with will be online
[47:28]
>> except for like extension of premise.
[47:31]
that um
[47:34]
so
[47:38]
» I don't I don't know if that's something
[47:39]
we want because it's so not a normal
[47:41]
>> not a normal
[47:42]
>> that's something they're going to have
[47:43]
to come to the board to get permission
[47:44]
for
[47:45]
>> is extension of premise is change of um
[47:49]
>> change of manager that's none of that
[47:51]
stuff is online that stuff you're going
[47:53]
to still have to fill out that work
[47:55]
unfortunately
[47:56]
>> right that's not
[47:58]
>> right okay that's down ABC city.
[48:02]
>> Yeah. Yeah.
[48:02]
>> So that's
[48:05]
>> um
[48:07]
that leads me to a question. Okay. So
[48:08]
that's a go for that. That's excellent.
[48:10]
Okay.
[48:11]
>> It makes
[48:12]
>> Yeah.
[48:12]
>> My job I think
[48:13]
>> I think it's going to make everything
[48:16]
>> that's the other thing. So like now
[48:17]
we'll be able to keep track especially
[48:19]
vlog
[48:20]
>> and the date and time stamp.
[48:22]
>> Ex everything. Yeah. So when they apply
[48:24]
everything is time stamp dated in the
[48:26]
system. We know exactly what day they went in and it's just
[48:30]
>> back and forth. They're all captured.
[48:32]
>> Yep.
[48:33]
>> Yeah. Everything's off through the
[48:35]
portal. So,
[48:36]
>> and it's just I think it'll be easier if
[48:38]
you guys also track because it's you can
[48:40]
go into the system and be able to look
[48:41]
at them.
[48:42]
>> All you need to literally know what the
[48:44]
address is and you can go in and you'll
[48:45]
be able to see where they they always
[48:47]
are.
[48:47]
>> And if someone is having troubles, they
[48:50]
can come to the office
[48:51]
>> and they can come to the office. We have
[48:52]
a computer there that we can guide them
[48:54]
through. She's done numerous
[48:56]
>> things um
[48:58]
>> do little meetings in the conference
[49:00]
room
[49:00]
>> conference room to help people you know
[49:03]
so absolutely and
[49:05]
>> while praying the rent some of my staff
[49:06]
as well so she's there when she's not
[49:08]
there I'm always there so are always
[49:10]
>> pretty knowledgeable on this on the
[49:12]
system
[49:14]
>> even Brian saying yeah
[49:18]
>> the IT guy says yeah
[49:20]
>> so the other thing that's not quite on
[49:22]
here because I know
