[1:24] As a community effort, it's part of a project that they were working on.

[1:29] These ladies, Ms. Beck and Gould's brother, and Ms. Lisa Murray, like I said, are here tonight.

[1:32] We are proud to be the recipients of these, and I'm excited to have one microchips scanner station installed at King's Park dog park, and there are several more planned in the next couple of weeks, and I'd like to invite these ladies to come forward and maybe explain them more about their project and what their purpose was and what their end goal is with this.

[2:13] And I will say, we do not have any props, any resolutions, any plaques or anything to give tonight.

[2:18] but please stop by the parks and see the scanner stations.

[2:25] Dr. Strather, we're super excited to be able to introduce the microchips scanning stations to Glen County.

[2:33] We're also working with Blackshire to have some over there as well.

[2:37] But we saw a need for reuniting animals with their owners quickly as possible to relieve some of the stress off of animal control,

[2:45] because so many animals just get brought straight to them.

[2:48] So now you can bring a compound pet to one of the microchip scanning stations and all of the instructions are listed for you on how to do it.

[2:58] You can scan them, it'll tell you how to contact the last registered owner and then hopefully reunite them faster or at least come up with a game plan for doing so or what to do if there is no microchip.

[3:13] also we had a cut adoption event where we actually chipped what we paid for

[3:18] tipping of 100 animals for free and we had those chips register. Only about 12

[3:23] people showed up so there's still some more out there where you can reach out

[3:27] to Glen County Animal Control and have those some additional pets chipped. You

[3:31] know the more we've got chipped the better the microchipping stations are going to

[3:35] work and we do have two other members not here today with us that did a lot for

[3:40] this product as well, that's tanning and makes and just the roads. But we appreciate

[3:46] y'all having us over here and we're looking forward to helping the community even more.
