[4:42]
roll please.
[4:43]
>> Archer
[4:43]
>> here. Floyd
[4:44]
>> here. Howard
[4:45]
>> here.
[4:46]
>> Present.
[4:47]
>> Shalter
[4:48]
>> here. The pledge of allegiance, please.
[4:51]
I aliance to the flag of the United
[4:54]
States of America and to the republic
[4:56]
for which it stands. One nation under
[4:59]
God, indivisible, with liberty and
[5:02]
justice for all.
[5:06]
» Thank you everybody for joining us
[5:07]
tonight for our special meeting. The
[5:09]
purpose tonight is to reschedu our RNR
[5:12]
hearing which we had originally
[5:14]
scheduled for August. However, after
[5:17]
some review of documentations, we found
[5:19]
that we needed to hold it in September.
[5:21]
Um, so we tonight are holding a meeting
[5:23]
to reschedu that. Um, and that will be
[5:26]
held on
[5:30]
» September 8th.
[5:31]
at 5:00 pm here in the
[5:33]
city building.
[5:38]
» Commissioners, have any questions,
[5:39]
comments, or concerns about resolution
[5:41]
2026-14? Or Kent, do you have anything
[5:43]
that you would like to add?
[5:45]
No, it's uh state statute requires the
[5:49]
meeting to for the RNR for the budget
[5:51]
hearing. It can be any time after August
[5:53]
1st
[5:54]
and from the original documentation from
[5:57]
the state. That's why and
[6:01]
um the city clerk wasn't going to be
[6:04]
able to be here on September 8th. That's
[6:07]
why we went ahead with the August 17th
[6:09]
date. And then further on because of the
[6:13]
RNR that has to be after August 20th. So
[6:16]
the original date with the previous
[6:18]
resolution that we had that was passed
[6:21]
last week was setting that hearing date
[6:25]
for August 17th.
[6:27]
This resolution 2026-14
[6:32]
um basically
[6:35]
reschedules it for September 8th at 5:00
[6:38]
pm.
[6:40]
for the
[6:43]
>> regular city commission meeting at that
[6:45]
time.
[6:46]
>> And I think even though that doesn't
[6:48]
necessarily match with what we
[6:49]
originally passed, it's later than we
[6:51]
had originally planned on and certainly
[6:53]
gives the community a chance to continue
[6:56]
to reach out to us if they have any
[6:57]
concerns. So,
[6:58]
>> one more thing with it is uh and that
[7:01]
was one thing at the very end last week
[7:03]
I want to reiterate. All this does is
[7:06]
this sets the maximum amount that's
[7:09]
stated in the notices that go out for
[7:12]
the notice of RNR hearing. It does not
[7:15]
mean that it's the final answer that the
[7:18]
city commission has approved.
[7:20]
So if anything
[7:23]
um the city can go down from that number
[7:27]
but they cannot go above that number.
[7:29]
So, it's the maximum limit that is
[7:33]
um will be published in the newsletter
[7:35]
that's sent out to every homeowner,
[7:38]
every property owner within the city of
[7:40]
Goodland.
[7:43]
So, certainly you folks that are in the
[7:45]
audience tonight, I'm sure we're here to
[7:47]
be able to speak out for that and we
[7:48]
would invite you to come on September
[7:50]
8th when the the hearing is held. That's
[7:52]
certainly the the time that we have set
[7:54]
aside for everybody to to speak out and
[7:56]
let your let your thoughts and
[7:58]
directions be known. So
[7:59]
>> that'll be on.
[8:01]
>> Yes. September 8th at 5:00 p.m.
[8:05]
>> I was just curious about this. I wasn't
[8:06]
sure what
[8:08]
I was
[8:10]
>> Yeah. I just think there was some
[8:12]
confusion about what tonight was.
[8:18]
what that reasoning was on that.
[8:22]
>> Sure. It was just a mistake on our part.
[8:24]
We scheduled it too early. So, we wanted
[8:26]
to make sure that it was in compliance
[8:27]
with the law and the law says it needs
[8:28]
to be in September. So, that's when
[8:30]
we'll do it.
[8:31]
>> So,
[8:33]
any other questions, comments, or
[8:35]
concerns from the commissioners?
[8:37]
>> I'll make a motion to approve resolution
[8:39]
2026-14.
[8:41]
>> Have a motion by Commissioner Redlin.
[8:43]
>> Second.
[8:43]
by Commissioner Howard. Mary,
[8:45]
roll, please.
[8:45]
>> Howard,
[8:46]
>> yes. Floyd,
[8:47]
>> yes.
[8:48]
>> Redlinin,
[8:48]
>> yes.
[8:50]
>> Shalter,
[8:51]
>> yes.
[8:52]
Okay,
[8:54]
having no further business, do I have a
[8:56]
motion to uh adjourn tonight's meeting?
[8:58]
>> So moved.
[8:59]
>> Have a motion by Commissioner Redlin.
[9:01]
>> Second.
[9:02]
by Commissioner Cloyd. All those
[9:03]
in favor say I.
[9:04]
>> I. Meeting.
