[7:55] much the policy stayed the same as far as uh amounts and what we're bonded for

[8:00] and things like that. So once we get that in, it'll probably be on next

[8:04] meeting, I guess, cuz he didn't get uh he didn't get that to me by the day. So

[8:11] So that's just to give you an insurance update.

[8:51] August 2026 report um monthly activities reports on the first page. Basically

[8:57] like as usual goes over the run volume for the month of August which included

[9:02] 255 EMS calls uh for the month of August. Breaks down where those calls

[9:07] were located based off of taxing districts

[9:10] um municip municipal taxing districts. I apologize. Um also shows your patient

[9:16] dispositions. how many were transports where those patients were transported

[9:19] versus non-transported. Uh breaks down also the unit responses.

[9:24] Um I believe and I do apologize I wasn't here last week. I had a family or last

[9:29] month I had a family emergency uh had come up that I had to tend to. There was

[9:32] a questions about the breakdown on unit responses. Um on this report uh since

[9:38] been handing it out to you, it does break down the differences on EMS

[9:41] responses and fire responses made by EMS by the ambulances. Um, it does break

[9:47] that down in there. I think there was a question about um how many ambulance

[9:51] went to different fire calls and this and that. Um, it breaks that down there

[9:56] in that section. >> Do you have uh Dave's copy?

[10:29] down the fleet management report. Uh breaks down the mileage and stuff that

[10:33] was uh performed um was driven on the apparatus in the month of August. Uh

[10:40] total miles driven was 7,93. Uh total uh breaks down the engine hours

[10:48] per apparatus. As you can see on EC4, um it's marked at a zero because we got the

[10:53] back on July 31st uh with a new motor in it. So with that first month, we put 185

[11:00] hours already on that new motor. uh with a total mileage put on that new motor of

[11:07] 2,293 miles.

[11:11] Um with that sadly to report over the weekend EC2 decided to drop the

[11:16] transmission on it. So we're getting a transmission uh put on uh put it in this

[11:21] week. Um should have it back from um the maintenance uh company, the fleet

[11:26] maintenance company we use hopefully uh sometime mid next week. Um, so as you

[11:32] can see, it's pretty we're already uh into September

[11:37] and we've already exhausted a pretty big chunk of our maintenance budget already

[11:41] on the fleet. So, um, hopefully, knock on wood, we've hit a lot of the

[11:47] major expenses early that we should be able to stay afloat uh, the rest of the

[11:51] year. Breaks down the different PM different maintenances that were

[11:55] performed on the apparatus is listed there below. On the right side, it also

[11:59] shows the same uh on the fire fleet. Any questions on that report?

[12:06] » So, you're going to replace the whole transmission.

[12:08] » What's that? >> You'll have to replace the whole

[12:12] » And that was 30 something thousand. >> No, the quote I got back uh was about

[12:17] 7,000 for the transmission, maybe three or four for labor. So, it's not It won't

[12:21] be dramatic. I think it'll be somewhere around 10 11,000 time we get it back. um

[12:27] he's going to go ahead and change the intercooler on it as well because that

[12:30] is the cooling system for the transmission.

[12:32] » Um typically when you do one, you do both.

[12:36] » Right. Right. >> And then the sec the next page goes over

[12:41] our response times for the month of August. As you can see, our response

[12:44] times are excellent um as they usually are pretty much every month for the city

[12:49] limits of Corinth is 13 minute response time. from

[12:54] time of dispatch uh to the time the ambulance arrives on scene. City and

[12:59] Kitten is 4.5 minutes. Uh Dry Ridge city limits 3.88 minutes. Um the county

[13:07] respectively in the Grant County Dry Ridge fire district areas 8.9 minutes

[13:11] outside the district is 11.3 minutes and then Williamstown is 5.15 minutes. Uh we

[13:18] did make some mutual aid calls over in Owen County um which is not unusual this

[13:23] month as well with a total response time of 25 minutes.

[13:28] It just kind of gives you the breakdowns of how we're performing, how quick we

[13:31] get out the doors, and how um quick we arrive on scene.

[13:37] And then last but not least is the breakdown of our our billing cycle um

[13:42] for the fiscal year starting uh July 1 and also for the month of August. As you

[13:48] can see, collections is struggling a little bit. Um I do project these

[13:51] numbers to go up. Um it's not unusual uh for this to happen. Um it the billing is

[13:57] so sporadic. One month you'll hit 125%, one month you'll hit 60%. That's nothing

[14:02] unusual that we will see uh back and forth. is just simply by when insurance

[14:07] companies decide to write checks. Uh, one thing I did see that is a little bit

[14:11] slightly alarming that I have been kind of watching over uh the past year is we

[14:17] are seeing an increase of patient self-pays, meaning they're not insured.

[14:21] Um, and we are starting to see a little bit of more increase in Medicaid

[14:24] patients simply because I do believe the economy has a great effect on that. um

[14:28] with the changes in the American Health uh the Obamacare plan um now that you're

[14:34] not necessarily required to hold insurance um a lot of people have

[14:38] dropped insurance and decided to go on a self-pay method um as you can see that's

[14:42] up over to 11%. Uh which is very alarming in the fact that it's very

[14:47] close to our commercial payments on insuranceances. So we watch that

[14:50] carefully because tenency people who are uninsured usually turn into bad debt.

[14:55] So, we'll be watching that for the next uh year, but we're right on track. Our

[14:59] ALS percentages transport is sitting right around 76 77%. Um, which is not

[15:05] unusual. We did have a pretty uh tough month with a lot of sick patients the

[15:10] last month. Um, lot of things have happened. So, that is

[15:15] increased a little bit over the month, but we're pretty much right on target

[15:19] where we expect it to be. Any questions on the revenue side?

[15:29] » Cool. And just a couple little brief updates to kind of just go over like I

[15:33] try to do uh every month some of the things that we've got going on. Uh we

[15:37] finished up some community events. We did finish up the blood drive up in

[15:40] Kitten. Um for our cancer patient, pediatric cancer patient that was a

[15:45] pretty good hit. Um unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate so we didn't

[15:48] get to do the big large scale event like we'd like but we uh did get that

[15:52] rescheduled. Uh with that also um did have a kind of

[15:58] a precursor is going to come out hopefully next month. Um we did receive

[16:02] another accommodation from St. Elizabeth uh today from the American Heart

[16:06] Association. We had a gentleman that was having I don't know if you ever heard of

[16:10] the widowmaker heart attack. The ambulance crew was able to identify this

[16:13] patient having this uh immediately start a treatment on this patient. The patient

[16:17] went into cardiac arrest three separate times on this crew. Uh they were able to

[16:21] revive him all three times, get him in a helicopter and get him up to Edgewood to

[16:24] the Kath lab. Um he was discharged two days later with no uh defects

[16:29] whatsoever. So with that, the American Heart Association and St. Elizabeth

[16:33] usually does a presentation because that is a rare event that does happen. U so

[16:37] there will be a special presentation for that crew. Uh, I would expect within the

[16:41] next month. Um, I'll broad give out some more details, invitations to the board

[16:46] if you guys like to participate with that. Um, that's always open and

[16:49] welcome. We always wanted to tell our crews when they're doing a good job and

[16:53] honor them for that. Um, last update I got on the critical care protocol stuff

[16:58] like I've been working on for last year. Got everything already finalized and

[17:01] approved through Scott County. Um, the judge executive and the fiscal court

[17:05] signed off on it last their last fiscal court meeting. Um, I now have the

[17:10] assigned agreement from them. I have to bring up to uh to our mayor then also to

[17:14] Chuck uh exe judge executive dills uh for its signature uh which will launch

[17:20] our blood program that I've been raving and talking about which will be very

[17:23] important factor to have especially with the bridge closures and we'll be getting

[17:27] that on inservice training on it hopefully within the next three or four

[17:31] weeks. We are doing that collaborative with air evac um and Scott County. Um,

[17:36] we have doing we do a lot of inservice trainings like this and a lot of

[17:40] trainings every month with our evac and other community partners as well. So,

[17:45] I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully getting that launched and, uh, long time

[17:48] overdue. Big project. It's been years in the making. So, with that, um, I don't
