[2:22] I'd like to talk about the uh floods and stuff that we're experiencing in

[2:28] central Texas. and the BFW as

[2:35] we are collecting up items. Um, we've put that information out there both on

[2:40] our Facebook page and through text and phone calls to all the dealers. We're

[2:44] doing that uh throughout our whole district. We are collecting things for

[2:51] BFW4820. Uh, in fact, that's where I just came

[2:54] from is picking up some stuff and dropping off where it's a lot of the

[2:58] normal things. is going to be gloves, weed eaters, things that the actual

[3:03] first responders can use. Um, and then we have a hub at BFW Post 1806 in

[3:11] Bulmont. And they're going to be open from 8 to 5 uh all this week to receive

[3:17] items. And I would ask that if you heard it here that you let them know because

[3:22] we have metrics that we have to follow in our business and community service

[3:27] numbers and stuff and they don't need to get all the credit if y'all give them a

[3:31] half a million dollars. [laughter] I'm just saying it might happen.

[3:35] » Yeah. >> Um but with that in mind, we are out

[3:38] there working towards that. Also, uh I was out of town at training on the

[3:44] Thursday during our regular meeting, but we did get a motion passed and our post

[3:48] uh donated $500 towards that effort as well as uh the actual physical items.

[3:56] So, that's all I have to say about that and you can get with me afterwards uh if

[4:00] you want to ask more questions. So, also I want to talk about the Korean War

[4:05] armistice and I'm going to give you the short version since I had to add some

[4:08] more stuff in this evening. Um, July 27th will mark the 72nd year of the

[4:14] Korean the signing of the Korean War Armistice Agreement and it was signed on

[4:20] July 27th 1953 in the village of Goran John. So,

[4:26] um, and that stopped 3 years of war fighting. And a lot of us don't know a

[4:31] lot about that, but when you consider that 5.8 million people served there and

[4:37] that 36,000 people were killed and over 110,000

[4:42] wounded, then it matters. And then one of the things that the vet for wars does

[4:46] is we keep those memories and and experiences alive.

[4:52] war broke out on the 38th parl in in June of 1950 and the United States and

[4:59] everything and other United Nations member nations sent to support South

[5:04] Korea and um and their result was tested in places like Pork Chop Hill,

[5:11] Heartbreak Ridge, um the show uh reservoir and other other

[5:17] places that were only known by grid coordinates, you by people who were

[5:22] fighting there. But today in our nation's capital, there's a grand wall

[5:26] uh that's known as the Korean War Veterans Memorial, and it stands as a

[5:31] testament to to their sacrifice etched with the words freedom is not free,

[5:36] which is why I'm here, because I I want to make sure y'all don't forget that. Uh

[5:41] it's it's we live in a time where sometimes people do. today. Um,

[5:48] our armed forces continue to proudly serve side by side uh with our Korean

[5:53] War counterparts. In fact, our senior vice uh commander Nina Martinez did

[5:59] serve in Korea and a lot of people think, well, why is that a combat riv?

[6:03] Because it's still going on. Uh things happen over there all the time.

[6:09] uh and it and it provides a vigil for peace and stability in both Asia and the

[6:15] rest of the world. So, we just wanted to make make sure y'all knew that this

[6:20] evening and that's all I have, Mr. Mayor.

[13:05] money into it. This uh particular camera actually went on uh it was on a sale

[13:11] item and we were actually able to get a location one uh three when we purchased

[13:17] the camera we've used and it so far we've been able to tie it in with our

[13:21] cell phones and it's worked really well. >> It's more of a backpack unit also so we

[13:27] can carry it inside the truck not in the back of a pickup truck. So it's

[13:33] bad for the use it today. The other one didn't have a wand, did it?

[14:39] continue to have to be done even after we make some repairs?

[14:42] » Yeah, slugs always have they always have to get rid of the sludge that comes from

[14:47] the water plant also come from the waste that's actually in the water.

[15:04] on the garbage on the the hauling and that'll save us about $7 or $800 a

[15:08] month. Good. Then my last for the the wex does that
