[9:00] condition rating drops to make it eligible for replacement with federal funds.

[9:05] Bridge 84. We haven't done anything with yet. In Bridge 73, we haven't done anything

[9:10] with. But Bridge 56 is their own rocky hollow road. We don't feel like this is a good candidate

[9:16] for a federal aid project because of the nature of the road and the waterway that it's going

[9:21] across. So we've met with United and we have a proposal for them to try to do some permitting

[9:28] and design for a structure somewhat similar to the low water crossing there on Mulberry

[9:32] Earth and say a little water crossing but the slab bridge there on Mulberry Street. Right

[9:37] now what they've shown it with is basically four sided concrete box covers that are real

[9:43] low where when the water gets up it would just run over the top and then what we've asked

[9:47] them to do is include in the scope basically a concrete paved roadway up to outside the ordinary

[9:53] high water mark with toe walls that turn down so the water can't get underneath the concrete

[9:59] pavement. The heaviest lift on that is probably the permitting work. There's a chance we might

[10:07] be able to do something with a PPE pipe which would reduce the total project cost but right

[10:12] Right now we're approaching it kind of conservatively with the four-sided concrete structures.

[10:18] I've got a copy of their engineer's report that you can read more detail about what I just

[10:22] discussed.

[10:23] And then I've got a copy of a proposed contract, which Chris, I had not sent that to you yet.

[10:28] So if you get a chance, maybe if you could review that for us.

[10:31] And all that said, I guess last thing before I get to it, I do have our Cambridge fund forecast.

[10:39] and we do have plenty of money in there to cover this and in addition to the

[10:45] money that we have in there we have some projects that have finished under

[10:50] budget and that money will be available to make up almost half of what I'm

[10:54] going to ask for for this contract. Some of that was the bridge 37 and bridge 75

[11:00] contract that United had and we had it structured to where it was hourly not to

[11:05] exceed and they think wasn't about $65 and I think we came in under budget. And so I think

[11:11] this is a good way to reward them for being efficient on that project and using that

[11:15] funding to put towards the cost for this project. All that said, I would need you to make

[11:21] a motion if you're okay with this then. This is just starting the engineering work to send

[11:26] us to the council for an additional request of $199,000, $25 and that would be from the

[11:32] bridge for it. So I'll entertain a motion to send them onto the council for

[12:19] So we've made tremendous headway on bridge projects and we've got our kickoff meeting with

[12:27] SJA to start the next cycle of bridge inspections.
