[8:41] as a result of the project of which at least 60%.

[8:57] I'm going to go up to additional details on the proposed project and I'm going to go up to the point where it's going

[9:07] to work with the town and work with the planning commission to help us give this project and bring these much need of funds to the community.

[9:21] So getting to this project has been multiple conversations many years in the making as

[9:28] Joanne can test it as John can test it as well.

[9:32] We've been working with the co-op for a few years to try to identify a site and also concurrently

[9:38] working with the town on trying to bring them to Jeffrey.

[9:41] So this is kind of a culmination of a result of many years of hard work to try to get to this

[9:48] point.

[9:49] So, we've been working with them and with the town to help them put together a funding

[9:53] stack in order to acquire and retrofit the building.

[9:56] So, these CDBG funds are part of that funding stack and Menadakekenocht development.

[10:03] In this instance, it's playing a role that has traditionally played more often with the

[10:08] CDU key, but with other municipalities throughout the region in accessing these federal funds

[10:12] where we act as an intermediary and as a lender.

[10:16] So we are able to get these funds in, lend them to the co-op, and which are then paid back to us, and then we are able to relend them to other projects throughout the region in perpetuity.

[10:29] a recent example of using report funds to help open a business, and I mean I'd knock in a couple

[10:38] of years ago we worked with them a couple of years ago to renovate, acquire, and revitalize

[10:45] actually.

[10:46] So this is a role in the food co-op we worked with on both of their expansions at Keen over the

[10:53] So we're excited to work with them and excited to work with the town.

[11:54] But the part that it plays within these specific equipment purchases is very important.

[11:59] So, it will play a small part in the equity piece for it, and we're also working with other banks and other finance institutions to put together the full funding stack.

[12:09] So, we're anticipating there being several different, maybe four or five or six different funding sources that can go into this altogether.

[12:17] But that's something that's generally standard with acquisition, renovations, and retrofits like this.

[21:46] And the idea, what I'm, what the Gilmore Pond Association is asking for the town of

[21:52] Jeffrey is permission to do remedial stormwater runoff work as it is outlined in the recommendations

[22:03] from the watershed management plan that was given to you on townland if it so happens

[22:14] to be on talent land. And that mostly would be happening mostly on Sandy Lane. One of the things

[22:23] that's being recommended is that the slope of the road, that there's paved part of the road that

[22:29] goes down Sandy Lane, be sloped away from the pond into a culvert area. And then there's another

[22:36] longer stretch about 200 or 300 yards of dirt road that slants up, which is draining

[22:43] now mostly into the pond area rather than into the drainage area.

[22:50] So the bulk of the work is really going to be happening on Sandy Lane, but there's also

[22:57] a part on Gilmore Beach on land that is owned by

[23:05] the Simpsons, that is going to involve

[23:09] hopefully an infiltration basin in an area that's now a drainage area with a culvert that

[23:16] goes into Gilmore pond, but it's completely clogged and not really useful as an infiltration

[23:23] based in right now. So we're asking to do this remedial work, which will be done by Keith

[23:32] Dupuy from Mountain Shade. He's already given us an estimate for the work. All the work

[23:40] is going to be done by a combination of grants and money from the Government of Pond Association.

[23:46] We have a letter from the President of the Gilpat Association pledging the money that

[23:53] is necessary that is not provided through grants to have this work done.

[23:57] The total amount for the work that's going to be done including permits and then having

[24:03] a watershed expert come to determine whether any part of what we're doing is on wetlands

[24:09] and whether it needs a wet lens permit as well, comes to between $120,000 and $160,000 total.

[24:19] But we hopefully will get some grant money to help with that.

[24:23] But the rest of it will be paid for by the Goberpont Association.

[24:31] So I think what we're trying to do is a very doable goal.

[24:37] According to what our watershed management plan says, we have to shed about four pounds

[24:48] of phosphorus in the pond per year in order to get it back to solidly in high water quality

[24:55] standards, which was called oligotrophic water.

[24:58] So for the last 20 years, the trend has been going towards poorer water quality.

[25:04] But if we do this stormwater runoff plan and do an aggressive septic system maintenance plan

[25:14] from all the landowners, it appears that we will easily meet the goal of trying to get

[25:20] us back into the kind of water that we used to have.

[25:24] And we still have, but barely.

[25:26] And, but we can make this change, if you, you know, you may not know this, but Gilmore

[25:34] Pond, there's nothing that flows into Gilmore Pond from any other tributaries.

[25:38] Everything starts at Gilmore Pond.

[25:40] So we are really in control of whether we can make this work.

[25:44] And doing this stormwater runoff is basically 76% of the goal that we need to achieve is

[25:57] by doing this part of it.

[25:59] And the rest of it will be done through septic system and individual landowners doing the
