[0:10]
put yourselves on Newton's stands
[0:17]
here tonight
[0:27]
here
[0:32]
[Music]
[0:38]
um
please read the sunshine notice notice
[0:41]
that the time and place of this meeting
has been posted in the office
[0:45]
chairman times in Asbury Park Press on
December 22nd 2022 and filed the
[0:50]
community school Clerk
thank you always for a motion to discuss
[0:53]
with the reading of the minutes of the
previous meeting and to approved the
[0:57]
same as reported intermittent second
yes yes
[1:04]
I will now move on to the agenda portion
of the remaining we'll start with four
[1:08]
horses and public hearings
first reading ordinance
[1:13]
23-01c ordinance of the township of Long
Beach County of ocean state of New
[1:17]
Jersey adopting a new chapter of 104
which pertains to insurance requirements
[1:21]
for businesses and rental units
this is a state mandate
[1:27]
[Music]
um
[1:29]
recover wants us to make sure that
Wolverine will units have insurance
[1:35]
and uh
I guess we have to inspect the rental
[1:39]
units to college no they just have to
have to provide proof insurance
[1:44]
so there's one more thing that we have
to do that's not necessary
[1:49]
I'll ask for a motion the only reason
we're adopting this ordinance is we have
[1:54]
to
[1:57]
I'll ask our motion to adopt ordinance
23-01 Cena
[2:03]

pertains to which
[2:23]
gillette-based paint inspections
thank you this is a second unfunded
[2:28]
mandate from the state
uh with everybody that has a rental unit
[2:33]
we have to have a lead paint inspection
by a professional
[2:39]
we're still trying to find a few so we
don't have anybody on staff that can do
[2:44]
that and once again this is something
that is mandated that we have an
[2:50]
ordinance supporting us so I'll ask for
a motion to adopt ordinance
[2:57]
23-02c on first reading
commissioner Bayard mayor Mayfield yes

[3:08]
ordinance entitled quoted a Township of

[3:11]
Jersey in chapter 5 of Perkins
Administration
[3:15]
okay this purpose of this orbit is to
just rewind revise the fee schedule
[3:21]
for charges involving Oprah
so in today's day and age you can over a
[3:28]
policeman's body camera but we have to
charge because we have to
[3:35]
block out everybody's face that is not
part of the case so it's an expensive
[3:42]
process the last promotion work
opportunities
[3:46]
those three seen that first group second

stage an ordinance amending an ordinance
[3:57]

[4:04]
okay this is for outdoor lighting uh we
have a lot of complaints with people
[4:10]
putting the lights up on top of their
rooftop decks and stuff and keeping them
[4:14]
on all night so this is going to
regulate that I'll ask for a motion with
[4:19]
top
23-04c first week second commissioner

[9:27]
Block Grant application for Long Beach

[9:32]
approved item 24 to a second Mr Lee
tanzi yes yes
[9:40]
okay um
[9:43]
as I mentioned previously Lydia RP
Financial culture had moved out our new
[9:49]
office and unfortunately our people was
on her assistance has agreed to take
[9:53]
that position which is currently
completed the courses to get certified
[10:10]
and then the other issue again I think
I've taught the field in privately we're
[10:13]
working on we have a
this is our EMS
[10:17]
people that's a Statewide problem we're
working on some solutions which I'll
[10:21]
give you some update
both their dates and progress on that
[10:25]
thank you for commissioner thank you
okay
[10:30]
um the next meeting the land use Ford
will be held on Wednesday January 11th
[10:36]
at 7 pm in this world
and I just um
[10:41]
I happened to announce that the 32
million dollars was approved in the
[10:46]
Omnibus Bill passed at the end of the
last year for beach replenishment on
[10:51]
Long Beach Island
um
[10:54]
no idea when the Army Corps is going to
put it out to bid we still don't have
[11:00]
any
quantity numbers how many cubic yards
[11:04]
need to be pumped so all that
information has to be gathered at this
[11:09]
point
uh but hopefully within the 12 months
[11:13]
we'll
the money is in place
[11:18]
it's good for
for us here
[11:21]
I have nothing else to report
and I looked at the public if you would
[11:27]
and have any good site please come up
tell us who you are and where you live
[11:31]
for the record
and uh
[11:38]
good afternoon gentlemen first of all my
name is Jim Cook I'm the homeowner at 24
[11:45]
West
[11:48]
and before I get my problems I say that
this is why a little piece of paradox
[11:56]
and I believe this island Music Paradise
so thank you for what you do every day
[12:02]
but I did everything else every now and
then you get a niche and my neighbors
[12:08]
and I are concerned about the two pieces
of property that point
[12:13]
in
West Broad Avenue
[12:16]
you know start the first one
[12:22]
uh there's two parts to it first of all
on the north side
[12:26]
along West 82nd Street
Rhode Island Avenue
[12:32]
I don't know what's called the right of
way or easement or whatever but there's
[12:36]
like 10 feet that I've heard mentioned
and the 10 feet
[12:41]
has a pile of um
broken asphalt that's been there since
[12:46]
day two is demolished also several big
potholes of filled with water that turns
[12:51]
into a muddy mess every time let's go
where's this at on the K2 property this
[12:58]
is on the North side but I take two
property an area that has been referred
[13:02]
so I'm not sure an easement or a or
setback
[13:09]
is it
we'd love to have it cleaned up maybe
[13:14]
the potholescope and the old asphalt
removed several years
[13:20]
I guess it's not gonna get paid up soon
I haven't seen it the second part with
[13:26]
that property is in the back of the
property and this also goes back to when
[13:31]
it was a restaurant there the 255 gallon
drums that I believe contain used
[13:37]
cooking oil
which barrels are rusted they're 55 in
[13:42]
here they're out there
the Brows are Rusty and I would hate to
[13:48]
think that the oil is leaching into the
soil which may be already but I would
[13:52]
love to have that
oil
[13:56]
and containers removed according to Safe
environmental standards
[14:03]
um well I'm out of course we'd love to
have the lot cleaned up by the owner
[14:09]
definitely I understand it's an ongoing
issue so I yeah and that it's we're
[14:15]
waiting to hear that when the oral
arguments on our appeals
[14:20]
thank you so now I have to go to the
other side of the street where the RBA I
[14:25]
think is a part of it is almost there
[Music]
[14:30]
is
we'll start with the K2 property the
[14:36]
space
has fallen down and when you issued to
[14:40]
him a letter today okay
the corner where the
[14:46]
there's a street sign down
um it used to say well it does say less
[14:52]
money must come left I think it costs a
good decided
[14:58]
I don't know how long
it's there now right on the corner
[15:04]
now the town's property
obviously says Jones Florida
[15:10]
it's a transfer station for construction
road break construction materials which
[15:15]
is around 50
sand or whatever else then it was used
[15:20]
as a transfer of point for construction
free
[15:27]
just moved down but each time you know
transfer takes place in a big dump truck
[15:34]
heavy equipment and new stuff and it
turns into a dust bowl
[15:38]
currently I would say it's being used as
a storage point or 4K construction
[15:46]
materials
so I everyone has their own idea
[15:50]
personally I would just like to see
I would love to see
[15:54]
a pump station that we were told to put
there in the pump station we we
[16:00]
relocated to the water's edge up
stations there so we went to a different
[16:05]
design originally we did buy that to
house the pump system but now we have
[16:12]
an in-line great underwater's Edge uh
pump and make sure that's better it's
[16:18]
much better and so we are using it as uh
storage for Street and bulkheads and we
[16:26]
will be for the we'll remainder of this
year and it will clean it up we have
[16:31]
different parts of what we're going to
do with it but it won't be a park
[16:34]
somebody said that I said it was going
to be a park or something no I think
[16:38]
they're using it you know right now
we're doing building a new building in
[16:43]
the gpw yard and so most of the stuff
that's there will typically be stored in
[16:50]
the tpw but with the construction going
on
[16:55]
normally I would ask is that you know
the the dirt there turns into a dust
[17:01]
bowling more in the summer or a mud ball
with
[17:06]
degrees exploded right you know there's
good portions of it it's probably the
[17:11]
only block within a mile either way that
doesn't have a side view
[17:15]
so even a sidewalker you can walk down
the street
[17:19]
but now we're waiting we have to raise
that whole area and we're waiting on the
[17:24]
K2 case so we can they don't Prevail or
they do Prevail we could probably take
[17:32]
that too shelter all right well God's
only I'll be around with him yeah well I
[17:39]
I thanked you a few times and I hope I
took care of the issues that my
[17:43]
neighbors have to
thank you
[17:47]
next
yeah
[17:51]
along the grass Rhode Island Avenue 31
West and we're here to support Jim and
[17:56]
Sam no not defeated that horse but we'll
have them here for that matter and we've
[18:02]
called before and we've been told of art
is the count of the road and it's time
[18:06]
to do but we do exert some type of
pressure to get the boulevard at some
[18:11]
level of playing I mean it's just a
disgrace
[18:15]
they were supposed to come down over the
last two years that didn't show and we
[18:20]
do have sections that are supposed to be
paid this year they're not going to pay
[18:25]
the whole thing they're doing in
sections and we still have some soaring
[18:29]
water going around yeah we still have a
couple of water and sewer projects down
[18:34]
south though but we've given them a list
of streets that they can pave and uh
[18:38]
we're just waiting for him to get here
you know yeah I mean I don't get seasick
[18:42]
until I go to the bagel shop from my
house
[18:46]
anything you can do old taxes back in
the county but we've got to get that
[18:50]
room fixed we got to get paid
yes sir good afternoon
[18:57]
John holty father
gentleman uh Happy New Year too I just
[19:02]
wanted to come down and make the
introduction with uh the teacher in the
[19:06]
first aid vote Captain initiated
so I just want to let you know I have
[19:12]
some contact information from the
administrative Aid and I'd like to come
[19:17]
down once a quarter and answer any
questions or share any details
[19:21]
you may see relevant this gentleman
right here is the guy to talk to you
[19:25]
want to stick around after the meeting
perfect yeah I appreciate that thank you
[19:29]
very much you're welcome appreciate it
[19:36]
any other
[19:40]
yes ma'am
um so I'd like to take this opportunity
[19:46]
since we have a captive audience to
mention that something wonderful is
[19:51]
happening in Long Beach Township
starting this Saturday science Saturdays
[19:55]
are back at the foundation in Las Vegas
they're from 10 o'clock until noon every
[20:01]
Saturday and there's a variety of
speakers that talk about Long Beach
[20:06]
Island including climate change flooding
impact of windmills what we could do as
[20:12]
Citizens anything that has to do with
resilience and LBI so I'd like to
[20:17]
encourage you and encourage you all to
put this on your calendars it starts the
[20:21]
14th of January through mid-march at the
foundation
[20:27]
thank you appreciate it
[20:31]
okay
um
[20:34]
I think I'll ask for a promotion
approach to public session
[20:42]
yes uh meeting in charge
