[4:04] events, conferences, meetings, tournaments

[4:09] to town. And with our the way our sales tax

[4:15] revenue is it's our hope that getting more people

[4:19] from out of town into Madison will help drive the the sales tax

[4:24] numbers. So, what I have handed out

[4:29] by no means is that a finished product. Some of the pictures are just

[4:34] placeholders. There's there's still quite a bit of

[4:38] work to do on that booklet. But that is a booklet that will have

[4:42] available for um

[4:45] event holders, tournament directors, uh anybody that is looking to bring uh

[4:51] conferences to town. Uh it's kind of an all-encompassing

[4:56] um booklet for uh any type of event that might want to

[5:01] come to Madison. From lodging to restaurants to meeting places.

[5:05] Um so, that's going to be our focus in in 2027.

[5:11] Is looking to bring more of those things to town.

[5:14] Uh as you know, uh the bike jam that we

[5:17] started, uh that was kind of our first uh dip into the water of new events. And

[5:26] any type of new event takes money.

[5:37] looking to bring more types uh of those things to town.

[5:42] But then there's also um as you you know, there's all kinds of state

[5:47] associations and and regional meetings that we can we can try and go after

[8:19] park expansion. Of course, you guys are very close with all the projects that

[8:23] we've worked on the last handful of years, but one great example was well

[8:27] we'll be next commission meeting we'll present a new plat and another land sale

[8:31] increase property tax, but our ultimate goal is how how can we be here to to

[8:35] make our continue to make our community thrive

[8:38] through through property taxes, job employment, and quality of life. These

[8:43] are all areas that we we feel we've made great strides in the last handful of

[8:46] years, but we're definitely not taking the foot off the gas. Like the goal is

[8:50] to keep going and keep pushing. How can we find

[8:53] more ways for housing and that industrial park and then

[8:56] obviously continue to utilize the early learning center. But

[9:00] those are all great projects, all things that have forward reaching commitments.

[9:06] And so as always I've greatly appreciated your support. We couldn't

[9:09] have done it without you. But again, we're not we're not looking

[9:12] to slow down anytime anytime soon. So again, no pamphlet, but happy to answer

[11:11] can see that we've got a lot of action going on there.

[11:15] So, uh the monies that we have it has been well

[11:18] spent. That you've given to us. And this next

[11:22] year in 2027, our big push is going to be for a sign out front of the building.

[11:29] Right now, we we don't have any advertisement or sign. People have a

[11:33] hard time trying to find a place. People don't know where it's located. If you

[11:37] put it in your phone, it takes you to the motorcycle shop.

[11:42] So, we'd like to get electronic sign out

[11:44] front of the place, which is which is a big push for us.

[11:48] That way we can advertise what programs are going on and when and if they're

[11:53] canceled and and so forth. Whether we're doing game game night or

[11:59] game day or whatever, it can be advertised

[12:07] it's it's it's a little bit more of a struggle like it is with everyone else

[12:10] to try and get the word out about what's happening in Madison. I think probably

[12:57] Ranch or Las Tapatías or all the restaurants, you know, and so putting

[13:01] money back in to the Madison community.

[16:42] we purchased from WAPA. It's basically a renewable energy

[16:45] credit. Right now, they don't have a lot of

[16:48] value if we hang on to them. They're managed by

[16:52] Heartland Energy and you can see the the snapshot at the

[16:56] bottom. Uh

[16:59] that uh the value of what we would have on hand. Um

[17:04] So, I guess what we're asking is just the

[17:07] um for the commission to recommend the the

[17:10] approval of the sale and that Heartland Energy to conduct negotiations on our

[17:14] behalf.

[17:17] » Can you explain, Mike, are these accumulated or

[17:20] So, if >> They're They're accumulated year by

[17:23] year. >> Okay.

[20:57] Um we continue working with Williams and Company to finalize the 2025 audit. I

[21:02] expect that to be back and completed um here in a couple weeks. I've been really

[21:07] efficiently working through everything that we've submitted, so happy to have

[21:11] that one behind us. Uh the 2024 annual report, which um we

[21:17] just talked about earlier in this meeting, has been filed with DLA.

[21:21] The up This update reflects year-to-date activity through June, which is 50% of

[21:25] the fiscal year completed.

[21:29] Cash on hand in general cash, we have 11.9 million. Investments, 2.73 million.

[21:36] Checking, 6.19. Money market, 574,000.

[21:42] Certificates and other, 832. The electric construction count, 1.58

[21:49] million. And in restricted cash, we have 647,000.

[21:56] Our revenue guidelines for June. And overall, most funds remain in a

[22:02] mid-stable position for the mid-year. With the largest variances driven by

[22:07] timing of transfers and debt proceeds in capital projects.

[22:12] The general fund is ahead on revenue because of transfers that were completed

[22:16] early in the year, while sales tax and grant revenues are below projections or

[22:20] not recorded at this time. General fund expenses remain under

[22:25] budget overall. And this is largely because several

[22:28] capital projects and contingency funds have not been used.

[22:39] Expenditure guidelines.

[22:57] » Amy, can I ask a question here? Um I'm I'm to show my continued ignorance at

[23:01] trying to figure out how the heck uh tax increments work. Um why do we have
