[10:02] do with the parks, we have to go to the
[10:04] parks commission. So, if we had a joint
[10:05] meeting,
[10:06] >> it could just be uh
[10:08] >> Did we turn the mics on now?
[10:09] >> Yes. Sorry,
[10:10] >> man.
[10:11] >> But if you notice, yours is missing.
[10:14] [laughter]
[10:14] >> It's working, though.
[10:15] >> Yeah. There. So, there's so much
[10:18] happening here. Um, and then the final
[10:21] one that we had is a
[10:24] blight court order [snorts] cleanups.
[10:28] So, if there was somebody who had a
[10:30] court order to clean up their private
[10:31] property but weren't able to, maybe the
[10:34] NRBC could be an organization that would
[10:36] help, you know, if if it's an elderly
[10:38] person or somebody who's um, you know,
[10:41] maybe more impoverished and just doesn't
[10:42] have the resources to go, you know, rent
[10:44] a dumpster, get cleaning crews out there
[10:46] to help clean the outside of their
[10:48] property. Um, that was kind of the last
[10:51] the seventh and last idea.
[10:53] >> Okay.
[10:53] >> Um, andrew.
[10:54] >> Yes.
[10:54] >> Do you want to rate each person rate
[10:57] these?
[10:57] >> Yeah. I I want
[10:59] >> maybe give top two.
[11:00] >> Yeah. I want people to just give their
[11:01] top two out of that
[11:03] >> or three. You have three.
[11:05] >> You can have three.
[11:06] >> We'll keep it to two.
[11:08] >> Okay. [laughter]
[11:09] >> Sorry, Maddie. No, we'll keep it to two
[11:11] just to keep it concise. Um,
[11:14] >> well, could we just have it like give it
[11:16] an a number one to seven and then
[11:19] whichever number
[11:20] >> Yeah, we could do that. But
[11:21] >> the highest we could start going down.
[11:23] >> Yeah. Yeah.
[11:24] >> Or with the top two.
[11:26] >> Yeah. Yeah, we we could do that. And
[11:28] then
[11:28] >> then we'd at least know.
[11:29] >> I didn't get one.
[11:32] >> Jim, do you have a
[11:34] agenda over there?
[11:36] >> No.
[11:36] Okay.
[11:37] >> What do you want to read it off and
[11:39] everyone
[11:40] >> Yeah. So, does everybody does everybody
[11:42] have something to write with? Maybe
[11:44] >> or I can write it.
[11:45] >> Okay.
[11:46] >> I can keep track.
[11:48] >> Okay.
[11:48] >> And then I'll just add up the scores for
[11:50] each thing.
[11:51] >> Okay.
[11:53] >> If we rank it, how about one to five?
[11:56] And you can give multiple things the
[11:58] same number.
[11:59] >> Okay.
[12:00] >> And is it on the screen? Because
[12:01] >> No, it is not.
[12:02] >> He's going to read it off.
[12:03] >> I'll I'll read it off though because
[12:04] this is based on that discussion we had
[12:06] last meeting. Um, so the first item is
[12:11] new volunteer list. Um, I would rate
[12:14] this personally as a three for me.
[12:16] >> Okay.
[12:17] >> What did you say? One to five.
[12:19] >> One to five. And so that would be kind
[12:20] of
[12:21] >> five is your most important thing. One
[12:24] is you don't really care.
[12:26] >> Or
[12:30] number five will be the thing we want to
[12:32] do first.
[12:33] >> How would you rank volunteer list on a
[12:35] scale of one to five? Five being that's
[12:38] my most important. I really want to do
[12:40] that. One is just so so.
[12:44] >> Okay. So, we're going to write these
[12:45] down.
[12:45] >> No, just tell me. Yeah, you can. Okay.
[12:47] >> Oh, good.
[12:52] » A volunteer list.
[12:55] >> Yeah. Um, we didn't really uh
[12:59] >> just give a number.
[13:00] >> We didn't really uh use it that much,
[13:02] but now that you want to keep in touch
[13:04] with those people, I think it's named
[13:07] for the first two.
[13:08] >> So, do you have a number, Kathy, that
[13:10] you would give out?
[13:10] >> Well, one out of seven.
[13:12] >> One out of five.
[13:13] >> And five is really good.
[13:15] >> Yeah.
[13:16] >> I'll give it a three.
[13:17] >> Okay.
[13:18] >> Just give your number. We got to move
[13:20] through.
[13:20] >> Jim, you got a number in mind?
[13:23] >> Five is great.
[13:24] >> Five. Okay.
[13:26] >> Three.
[13:26] >> Okay.
[13:27] >> Three.
[13:28] >> So, middle of the pack.
[13:30] >> Okay.
[13:30] >> Dumpster event.
[13:34] » Five.
[13:34] >> Okay.
[13:37] >> I like three.
[13:38] >> Three.
[13:39] >> Four.
[13:43] » I guess four. Yeah.
[13:45] >> Three.
[13:46] >> Library. Little library at city hall.
[13:50] Okay.
[13:52] >> I have four.
[13:53] >> One. Two.
[13:56] >> Zero.
[13:57] >> Oh my god.
[13:58] >> We can do zero. [laughter]
[14:00] >> Zero.
[14:00] >> I challenged mine to
[14:01] >> I'm gonna try it.
[14:02] >> Zero.
[14:03] >> Yeah.
[14:04] >> All right. Next one is parks and
[14:06] alleyway cleanup.
[14:09] >> Shoot me down with the
[14:10] >> me with the parks.
[14:13] >> Three.
[14:14] >> Okay. Didn't you say three?
[14:17] >> You can do multiple.
[14:19] Okay.
[14:20] >> Three.
[14:21] >> We're just bouncing ideas.
[14:23] >> Four.
[14:25] Jim, what was yours?
[14:26] >> Two.
[14:27] Okay.
[14:28] >> Sorry.
[14:28] >> I think four.
[14:29] >> Okay.
[14:32] >> I would say four.
[14:34] >> Okay.
[14:35] >> Right. Survey for the community
[14:38] for input and to get thoughts on the
[14:40] NRBC.
[14:41] >> Five.
[14:42] >> Okay.
[14:45] >> I have
[14:46] >> three.
[14:46] >> Okay.
[14:48] >> Five.
[14:50] >> Two. I say five.
[14:52] >> Three.
[14:55] Wow, we really got a rhythm going here.
[14:56] >> This is this is going very fast.
[14:58] >> Yeah.
[15:00] >> Joint meeting with other relevant
[15:02] commissions to help coordinate
[15:05] our future projects.
[15:08] >> I sorry.
[15:10] >> All good. I got them both.
[15:12] >> Jim to you.
[15:14] >> Wow. I think we need to meet with these
[15:15] people.
[15:16] >> That's fine.
[15:16] [laughter]
[15:18] Well, you're right. Fight. I hope you've
[15:21] been going the correct order so far.
[15:24] >> I'll do five.
[15:25] >> Oh,
[15:25] >> five in some sort of a coordination. Not
[15:28] necessarily in person meeting, although
[15:29] I don't know how else that would be, but
[15:31] I think it's important.
[15:32] >> It has to be in person because of the
[15:35] freedom of information, open meetings.
[15:37] We got to have it on the record.
[15:38] >> Probably work on it.
[15:39] >> I'll say five. Maddie,
[15:41] >> did you say two at first? You're
[15:43] changing it.
[15:44] >> I changed my mind.
[15:45] >> All right. Well, that's a perfect score.
[15:47] And then the final one is blight and
[15:49] court order cleanups. That's where we
[15:51] would go and help private property
[15:53] owners.
[15:54] >> Five
[15:55] >> clean up.
[15:58] » Four.
[15:59] >> Yeah.
[16:01] >> I say two.
[16:03] >> Five. Two.
[16:05] >> Three.
[16:07] >> All right.
[16:08] >> Do some quick math.
[16:10] >> Well, I can tell you what one
[16:14] >> and that's
[16:15] >> the joint meeting.
[16:25] » [snorts]
[16:39] » I think dumpster is number two.
[16:52] It's not the library.
[16:54] >> No.
[16:55] >> it wasn't the library. That was last.
[16:58] >> Yeah.
[16:59] >> Um, joint meeting was number one with a
[17:02] perfect
[17:03] >> 30.
[17:05] >> Dumpster was number two with 23 and
[17:09] Blake court order cleanups was number
[17:11] three with 21. But I think that one's
[17:14] going to be a longer planning behind
[17:17] that. We're going to need to work with
[17:19] Tim, probably need to work with the city
[17:22] attorney, probably need to wait till a
[17:24] court order actually comes through. It's
[17:26] going to need to be a safe environment
[17:28] for us to actually go there. Um,
[17:33] obviously don't want to put anyone at
[17:34] risk if there was any concern of that.
[17:38] So, but I will keep that on the back
[17:40] burner and long term,
[17:42] >> right?
[17:43] >> But I think dumpster and joint survey
[17:45] are two things we can get done pretty
[17:48] quickly.
[17:49] >> And the dumpster will keep changing
[17:51] locations. So, I called AJ today from
[17:55] Republic and he has not gotten back to
[17:58] me yet, but I'm going to try and talk to
[18:01] him about coming up with a way where we
[18:05] can get a dumpster there and get it
[18:06] picked up before it's being overfilled
[18:10] within one day. So, we're not leaving a
[18:12] dumpster overnight.
[18:14] Um, I think ideally we'd probably want
[18:16] to get one towards the end of this month
[18:20] or early November just so that it's done
[18:23] before the winter. I know that one of
[18:27] the complaints from the first one was
[18:29] that
[18:31] you couldn't we weren't checking IDs and
[18:33] so trash could be coming from everywhere
[18:35] and there were some comments made that
[18:37] oh this is Filer's trash. So maybe if we
[18:40] do just a 8 to 5 dumpster, we have shift
[18:44] set up where everyone goes for 2 hours,
[18:47] sit in your car, check an ID, yep, good
[18:50] to go, use the dumpster. Um, and that's
[18:53] more feasible with it being a one or two
[18:56] day event versus a week. There was we
[18:59] weren't going to do overnight shifts at
[19:01] a dumpster. That's not not really
[19:03] feasible.
[19:05] So if that's good with everyone and we
[19:07] could get
[19:08] >> some maybe we could sometime put one on
[19:10] the north side too cuz we haven't tried
[19:13] one there yet.
[19:14] >> I think so. We had a blight meeting this
[19:18] past week or yesterday with the blight
[19:22] enforcement officer, Tim, the city
[19:24] manager, Bill, myself, Chief Glass, and
[19:27] Jerry. And I mentioned this event and
[19:30] they expressed interest in the 12th
[19:32] Street area. So, a little bit further
[19:35] into town from where we were before. Um
[19:38] but they have some properties over there
[19:39] that they think would really benefit
[19:41] from one in that neighborhood and they
[19:43] can
[19:44] >> the far east side as well.
[19:46] >> They can handle um distributing flyers.
[19:48] I'll set something similar up. Share it
[19:51] on Facebook.
[19:52] >> Is that what you said?
[19:53] >> Okay.
[19:54] >> Probably want to do it in by the end of
[19:56] this month because of uh leave.
[19:58] >> Yeah. That's true. So, if you guys are
[20:02] comfortable with me planning something
[20:04] like that and sharing information with
[20:06] you, if we could get a motion today, I
[20:10] can try and get something together by
[20:11] the end of the month or worst case
[20:14] scenario around our next meeting early
[20:16] November.
[20:18] >> Make a motion to have Maddie move
[20:20] forward with planning for the dumpster.
[20:22] Second for this month.
[20:24] >> You guys want to approve a a dollar
[20:26] amount? So, it was about
[20:29] 650 I think for the one dumpster. If you
[20:32] take in all of the charges of hauling
[20:35] it, that dumpster is about 550 and then
[20:37] another hundred or so for the hauling.
[20:39] And
[20:39] >> it's probably at most 700.
[20:42] >> Yeah. Do 750 to be safe.
[20:44] >> Okay.
[20:44] >> So, do you want to do one or two
[20:48] >> dumpsters? Just one? Let's just do one
[20:50] for
[20:51] >> I would do one for this.
[20:52] >> You do one or you want to do one on the
[20:53] north side like Kathy said. Um, well, I
[20:56] think we probably do mult
[20:57] >> we could do one in the spring, too.
[20:59] >> Yeah, I say we do multiple separate
[21:00] events so it doesn't have to be too much
[21:02] coordination.
[21:02] >> And then we do the thing at the armory
[21:04] with the
[21:04] >> Right. That's that's in the spring and
[21:06] then we could do late spring like we did
[21:08] last year.
[21:09] >> So, I do believe there's technically a
[21:11] motion on the floor though to approve
[21:12] the event. And so, did I get a second
[21:15] from Nick? All in favor on supporting
[21:18] this original motion.
[21:20] >> What was the dollar amount? So, do we
[21:22] are we able to
[21:23] >> do you want a a separate motion on that?
[21:25] >> No, it can be included.
[21:26] >> Okay. So, up to
[21:28] >> my motion I'll include the up to $750
[21:32] floor dumpster.
[21:33] >> Second.
[21:34] >> All in favor? I
[21:35] >> I
[21:37] >> All right. So, those other top two
[21:42] >> the joint meeting.
[21:42] >> Yeah, the joint meeting we'll have more
[21:44] discussion on at that next meeting to
[21:46] kind of
[21:47] >> I can talk to parks. I'm going to the
[21:50] October Parks Commission meeting for
[21:53] what our next new business item is um in
[21:57] two weeks. So, I can talk to them at
[21:59] that meeting. The other one was the tree
[22:02] commission. Nick, are you on that? If
[22:05] you don't mind bringing that up as a
[22:07] possibility at your next meeting.
[22:09] >> Yeah. Um
[22:10] >> see, get some feelers if there's
[22:12] interest maybe for a January meeting,
[22:14] start of the new year.
[22:16] >> I'm going to guess that January won't
[22:20] happen. I think it's February, which is
[22:24] >> what's February?
[22:24] >> We we only meet one one time in the
[22:27] first quarter,
[22:28] >> but this would be an additional meeting.
[22:30] >> Oh, okay.
[22:31] >> Because we don't meet We're not meeting
[22:32] in January. Well, that's my proposed
[22:34] agenda is what we did this past year.
[22:37] So, we took December and January off.
[22:39] >> I'm going to recommend a February.
[22:42] >> Yeah.
[22:42] >> Okay.
[22:43] >> And who's your um
[22:45] >> um John I don't know. Gosh, I get so
[22:49] much mail from him.
[22:50] >> I know who it is.
[22:51] >> Yeah, help him.
[22:52] >> Okay, I can reach out to him, too.
[22:54] >> Um, but if we did it in a month where
[22:56] they don't meet and we don't meet, that
[22:58] might be a good
[23:00] >> good additional meeting.
[23:02] >> Yeah. Not overload anybody.
[23:04] >> Yeah.
[23:05] >> A slow time year kind of for both.
[23:08] >> Okay, perfect. Well, we'll have more
[23:10] discussion on that at the following
[23:11] meeting if it's not a pressing issue
[23:13] with it being kind of maybe focused in
[23:15] the new year a little bit more. Um, so
[23:17] moving on to new business, the Ninth
[23:20] Street Public Park, um, or public
[23:23] hearing for the park. Um, Maddie
[23:26] provided information in our packets
[23:27] regarding that design and kind of why
[23:30] that Ninth Street parks being proposed.
[23:32] Um, so Maddie,
[23:34] >> yeah, I can run it over again. [snorts]
[23:36] So, the city used to have an MDNR grant
[23:41] for land on the Manasty Channel and part
[23:46] of that land was under Forano's deck.
[23:48] So, when they built that deck, there was
[23:51] some back and forth. I wasn't here. I
[23:53] don't really know exactly what happened,
[23:54] but essentially the city sold for the
[23:58] property under their deck. And in doing
[24:00] so, we have to come up with a
[24:02] replacement piece of land that serves a
[24:05] recreational purpose to the community.
[24:08] >> I thought they were using the Ninth
[24:10] Street.
[24:10] >> We are.
[24:11] >> Yeah. That's
[24:12] >> And so it can't be already recreational.
[24:14] It has to not be currently used for
[24:17] anything recreational wise and owned by
[24:19] the city. So the city has a lot on 9inth
[24:22] Street. I believe it's a standard sized
[24:24] lot. Um no nothing's on it. It's just a
[24:28] hill with some trees and the proposal is
[24:30] to do a pocket park on that property.
[24:34] And so we've been working with um the
[24:37] DNR to go through that process and the
[24:40] next step is a public hearing at the
[24:42] October 20th city council meeting. Um we
[24:46] don't have a site plan. So, this is kind
[24:48] of preliminary to the site plan if
[24:50] there's any community concerns about the
[24:52] scope of work or what's going in there
[24:55] that we can pivot before investing too
[24:58] much into the project. It's just a DNR
[25:01] requirement. Um, so I wanted to make
[25:05] sure you guys were aware of that. Our
[25:08] current proposal is really just a bench
[25:12] with a little library.
[25:14] Even though everyone voted very poorly
[25:17] towards the little library, [snorts]
[25:19] I think it would be a good fit for the
[25:21] pocket park bench. Little library, some
[25:24] signage about native plantings. It's
[25:27] going to have to have a sign that says,
[25:28] "This is a park. We're going to call it
[25:30] something." And then I reached out to
[25:32] Plantet Wild, who is going to be at our
[25:35] November meeting. And I was hoping you
[25:38] guys could work with them. and at the
[25:40] joint meeting maybe we can talk about
[25:42] what native plantings would be a good
[25:44] fit for this park. Um so that's going to
[25:47] be later. We don't need to have that
[25:48] decided before this goes to council.
[25:51] >> So meeting
[25:51] >> October 20th
[25:54] >> is there anything that you need from the
[25:56] board at this meeting though any motion?
[25:58] No, just just a heads up that that's
[26:00] what's going on. And I did when I
[26:03] reached out to Planet Wild, I asked if
[26:04] that could sort of be the topic is
[26:07] native plants. And in this project
[26:09] specifically, how are we going to go
[26:11] about choosing types of plants for that?
[26:14] >> Yeah. West of the highway.
[26:16] >> Yes.
[26:17] >> East.
[26:18] Okay. I don't know where it is.
[26:20] >> It's a kind of a cool concept. It's
[26:22] really maintenancefree that we don't
[26:24] have to spend.
[26:26] >> I have a picture of it. I can go out and
[26:28] work on that.
[26:31] >> And this is
[26:33] >> so this is the very steep steep street
[26:38] >> lot that is on ninth street.
[26:42] >> So not mowing itual. Yeah, leaving it
[26:45] wild would be great.
[26:46] >> So this was
[26:49] >> in full transparency AI generated this
[26:52] image but this was what we sort of had
[26:55] in mind. consumer.
[26:57] >> I would pull it out.
[26:58] >> Yeah.
[27:00] >> And so it's relatively low maintenance
[27:04] >> because there's not really a way to make
[27:06] it accessible as long as our path is
[27:08] wide and semifat.
[27:11] >> Okay. Okay. So, we're going down the
[27:12] hill then.
[27:14] >> Yeah.
[27:15] >> Where is this at?
[27:17] >> Yeah. Yeah. Because there was some
[27:20] >> raw land over here that I was thinking
[27:22] is where it was going to go. Okay. right
[27:24] in that area.
[27:25] >> So that's a good size area.
[27:27] >> It's not by the lake.
[27:29] >> No.
[27:30] >> So when you turn on to 9th from 31.
[27:32] >> Okay.
[27:33] >> And you're going towards Lake. It's
[27:35] pretty soon once you get down that hill.
[27:37] >> Yeah. Oh, Ninth and
[27:41] >> Cross.
[27:42] >> Yeah.
[27:44] >> Cross street.
[27:45] >> Cross.
[27:46] >> Oh. Um
[27:47] >> where Kathy
[27:48] >> boy? Yeah. It's it's it's a short name
[27:51] though.
[27:52] >> Yeah.
[27:52] Uh gosh, I can't think of
[27:54] >> right at the corner.
[27:56] >> Yeah. Yeah, that'd be nice.
[28:01] » All right. Well, so I guess there's
[28:03] really no other motion or action at this
[28:05] time for that, but it sounds like we'll
[28:07] obviously have a hand in implementing
[28:09] it, which is great. Um
[28:11] >> bike rack.
[28:12] >> And so moving on to the final item for
[28:16] today. It's the 2027 calendar. um are
[28:21] there for next year. And so we'll need a
[28:25] motion to approve what Mattie's put
[28:28] together. And so as Mattiey's mentioned,
[28:30] this is what we did last year with the
[28:32] skipping a meeting in December and
[28:34] January. Um just with the holidays being
[28:38] in that time frame. And then I also did
[28:41] the July meeting the second week of July
[28:43] which is what we did this year because
[28:46] the Thursday before the 4th of July is
[28:49] >> kind of tough to get people there.
[28:51] >> Are you skipping the 2027 December or
[28:55] are
[28:56] >> both? So when we approved this year's
[28:58] calendar, we got rid of December's
[29:01] meeting.
[29:01] >> Okay. So, we don't meet in December and
[29:04] January, but we're going to try to do
[29:06] the joint meeting in January in place of
[29:09] our meeting alone just because
[29:11] >> one more meeting.
[29:13] >> Yeah. And then in March or February,
[29:15] we'll start planning the spring clean up
[29:17] and
[29:17] >> Okay, I get it.
[29:18] >> Get our spring stuff started.
[29:21] >> I'll make a motion to approve the 2027
[29:24] calendar for the NRVC.
[29:27] >> I'll second.
[29:29] >> All in favor? Hi.
[29:30] >> Hi.
[29:31] >> All right. And then public comment
[29:34] known. Uh good of the order. Kathy,
[29:36] we'll start with you.
[29:39] >> Um I just think uh this is going to be a
[29:44] good idea. I like everything and um I'm
[29:49] excited to do it.
[29:51] >> Perfect. Jim,
[29:53] >> well, we're losing our president here.
[29:58] That's for That's for me to announce.
[29:59] [laughter]
[30:01] >> Nick,
[30:01] >> you had to come back, you know.
[30:03] >> Oh, yeah.
[30:04] >> Oh, um I don't think I have anything.
[30:06] >> Okay. Um and then as Jim spoiled for all
[30:10] of us, uh for those of you who don't
[30:12] know, me and my wife are moving down to
[30:13] Grand Rapids and so this will be my last
[30:16] NRVC meeting. I'll have to put in my
[30:18] resignation with Heather um before I
[30:22] leave. Uh but I will be leaving the
[30:25] community uh last day at the chambers
[30:27] the 9th. So just
[30:29] >> October 9th.
[30:30] >> So
[30:31] >> what are you going to be put down there?
[30:32] >> Economic development work for the city
[30:34] of Grand Rapids.
[30:35] >> Nice. Congratulations.
[30:36] >> Thank you very much. Appreciate it.
[30:42] » You don't want me to comment on that?
[30:43] [laughter]
[30:45] Um, no, I don't have anything other than
[30:47] at one point, and this was back quite a
[30:49] while ago, you I think had mentioned
[30:51] something about
[30:54] the flower containers down on River
[30:56] Street and that maybe there were some
[30:58] extra or there were a couple that were
[31:01] is that something that would be used at
[31:04] city hall?
[31:06] >> That would be something that we would
[31:08] have to double check with DPW. Um, you
[31:10] know, I know they normally or what I've
[31:12] heard, um, Brandon Prince mentioned in
[31:14] the past is that they have a couple
[31:17] backups of those big kind of cast iron
[31:19] or steel ones that are throughout River
[31:22] Street. Um, if that's the case, uh,
[31:26] that'd be something that we would have
[31:27] to probably bring up to Bill to see, you
[31:29] know, first off, can we use them as city
[31:31] hall and then kind of who would we would
[31:34] this group be the one paying for the
[31:36] plants? That's something we can figure
[31:37] out. And I think the first step is just
[31:39] making sure DPW has extra and if so is
[31:42] there some weird limitation as to like
[31:44] where they can go bas
[31:45] >> or to order additional.
[31:47] >> Yeah.
[31:48] >> And who planted those? Who were the
[31:50] people working on those? So, the
[31:54] planters themselves, uh, the DDA pays
[31:57] for the flowers. And then in the
[32:00] springtime, uh, James,
[32:03] uh, Palowski,
[32:05] who lives downtown, who's a building
[32:07] owner and resident of the district, is
[32:09] the one who gets paid to plant in the
[32:11] spring. I believe for the mums, uh, DPW
[32:15] plants the mums though in the fall.
[32:20] » Interesting.
[32:24] I'm sorry, [laughter]
[32:30] » Mark. Anything?
[32:31] >> Well, Andrew, you'll be missed all the
[32:33] way around the block.
[32:36] >> Absolutely.
[32:37] >> You know, for for our community
[32:40] leaves a big hole,
[32:42] >> but congratulations.
[32:44] >> Thank you.
[32:44] >> Um there's bigger fish to fry out there
[32:46] for you.
[32:48] >> Well, thank you. and Grand Rapids is a
[32:50] nice
[32:50] >> and you know just on a couple things and
[32:52] I know this is one of my pet peeves
[32:55] signs
[32:57] um
[32:59] if this is truly a neighborhood
[33:01] beautifification get rid of the signs in
[33:04] the city
[33:06] >> signs
[33:06] >> in the city rightways
[33:08] >> like the yard signs
[33:10] >> huh billboards
[33:11] >> yard signs
[33:12] >> yard sale signs
[33:14] >> political yard sales little temporary
[33:16] >> Yeah. Um,
[33:18] >> I've got a senior in high school.
[33:20] >> It kind of drives me nuts. So, um,
[33:23] planning will work with hopefully work
[33:25] with council that they can do something.
[33:27] And, um,
[33:28] >> well, you know, you have the the
[33:30] ordinance.
[33:32] >> Yep. And then we have to enforce the
[33:34] ordinance.
[33:34] >> I talk to the chief all the time and
[33:36] say, "Get your men to go out the car and
[33:38] take the damn signs down."
[33:39] >> Well, and then
[33:43] DPW doing it, too.
[33:45] Um then the last one is probably going
[33:48] to hurt some feelings, but deer deer are
[33:50] overrunning the community. Um people are
[33:54] wasting a lot of money and um we need a
[33:58] call. So
[34:00] >> well the thing is the last time we paid
[34:02] $30,000
[34:03] for 15 deer.
[34:04] >> Back in 2013 I had a I started a call
[34:08] that was 5,000 bucks. we'd get rid of 50
[34:10] deer and
[34:13] two new council people ruined it. I'm
[34:16] not going to say I'm not going to go
[34:17] there because I don't want my blood
[34:18] pressure to go up, but um can it be done
[34:22] again?
[34:23] >> I know a lot of good for free. So,
[34:27] >> the DNR they
[34:29] >> they have to come up and do a shooting.
[34:31] >> Yeah, I know.
[34:31] >> They take three days to do it.
[34:33] >> What about live traps?
[34:36] If we want to carry on the discussion,
[34:37] yeah, I would recommend doing it after
[34:39] the meeting.
[34:39] >> Exactly.
[34:40] >> So, I'll look for a motion to adjurnn.
[34:42] >> I'll make that motion. I'll second.
[34:43] >> All in favor? I
[34:45] >> right
