[3:06] of belonging, and values, the social, power of family, friends, and community.
[3:12] And whereas a dedicated group of teens from boys and girls club of Maccon were selected to
[3:18] represent nine states in the southwest region to create awareness on the impact, loneliness,
[3:26] and isolation can have on those struggling with mental health disorders, and how loneliness
[3:32] can impact our physical health as well.
[3:35] And whereas the teens from Boys and Girls Club of the County will present their research,
[3:41] and community advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C., representing the Greater McKellon area

[27:10] That's a vision for growth for the next 20 to 30 years. The overall plan is a policy
[27:17] step forward for Macallon. Mixed use neighborhoods was promoted in the 2007 Comprehensive
[27:26] plan on which I was a member, and it needs to be jump-started.
[27:33] Development should be complementary to existing single-family neighborhoods to avoid devaluation
[27:39] of those homes and resentment and fear by those homeowners.
[27:43] The emphasis on preservation and rehabilitation of downtown is overdue.
[27:49] it speaks to that. Transportation is very important and mobility, transportation and mobility
[27:59] on complete streets and a better balance ratio of right away situations is addressed in this
[28:07] plan. It is absolutely incredibly important to have a vision for the next 20 years,
[28:19] which
[28:19] comprehensive planning document, stress the need for more green spaces, and this has not
[28:27] kept up with McCallan's growth in many new neighborhoods, which are still built on the
[28:34] shotgun street and cookie cutter house model. This invasion McCallan plan does address this
[28:43] problem. And if this problem is adopted and implemented, I think this will be improved. Now what I forgot to include in my remarks to you, but I'm including now, this does not address the need of all citizens to have access to broadband.
[29:02] broadband is a very important utility, comparable to electricity, and maybe water, although
[29:10] we do need water to survive, I guess we can survive without broadband.
[29:14] But in this day and age, broadband needs to be addressed, and I don't see this addressed
[29:20] in this plan.

[29:25] It's very important to note that adopting invasion McCallon is only the first step in bringing
[29:32] the plan and its policies to fruition. A comprehensive plan is a guide and a policy document

[58:33] they market it and establish them as locations to sell their fireworks to the public.
[58:38] It's very hard to relocate whether it be a stand, whether it be a warehouse.
[58:43] We thank you for the two-year extension blanket, whether it be warehouses or stands.
[58:51] But I think the public policy decision here is if you annex a location into the city and there
[59:00] There should be a dialogue of whether or not they were operating legally in the county, whether they would continue to operate.
[59:06] And let me just say this, commissioners and mayor, the stands or warehouses, they only sell for 20 days a year.
[59:12] That's it. 20 days a year, 10 days leading up to 4th of July, 10 days leading up to New Year's.
[59:18] And if there's any issues with the discharge of fireworks, the county can shut them down where in a severe drought.
[59:24] But no locations, whether they'd be here in McKellen or anywhere else, has there been incident regarding the stands or warehouses and in addition, you know, they do pay taxes, they fall under state fire marshal code, they fall under city fire marshal code and I think they're well regulated and protect the public and fireworks to fund.
