[5:45] who came to clear the boards and that's a tremendous amount of work we're not

[5:52] through yet but by the end of this week we will have a enough clear boards

[6:12] Chamblee came over and made we have uh these people who are going to make sure

[9:05] which would bring in 30 plus jobs so we're exploring those possibilities

[9:13] and when we get here a point where it looks like it will go we will come

[9:23] back to the city council and try to get the city to involved with a

[9:32] Texas capital capital fund

[9:37] and uh money if we get that far

[9:43] I'm sure that the building will be of value not just to the city but to the

[9:51] surrounding being areas

[9:54] and uh bringing income and and I might not have to come back

[17:02] a little company but in the process of reviewing the bed as it turned out that

[17:07] they left out a significant piece in their heart and they could not honor the

[17:10] bid at at the price that they quoted so we had essentially because of that and

[17:17] some other concerns we had talked to the risk pool insurance adjuster he compared

[17:24] the Departments

[20:18] for the purchase of a fire truck to replace three aging trucks we'd like to

[20:24] maybe get something in the neighborhood of any pumper or still

[20:29] exploring that Avenue something that we can use for dual purposes and it will be

[20:34] used for here's Anne for the paid Department

[20:38] as well it'll respond in the city and also outside the city of the county it's

[20:43] what volunteers mostly use it for auto extrication rescue type purposes

[20:50] can do the dual use of it we can get rid of three with

[20:59] it

[21:04] with the trucks that in the event this would be awarded

[21:13] you understand that I might assume that in your bid you've

[21:16] also built in other equipment as part of the truck or do you just are you just

[21:22] trying to bid the truck just the truck right now and okay we're kind of

[21:26] exploring this because we it's a mini pumper by definition attack

[21:31] drug you know it depends on who you talk to I don't want to buy something just to

[21:36] buy something but we wanted to do a job for not wanting to own a load

[21:43] a concern right now I'm trying to hit the specific size truck in this in this

[21:48] reminds you range the next range up is another hundred thousand right so if we

[21:55] can make it work that's what we can relax

[21:58] is there sufficient NFPA compliant equipment on the other trucks

[22:04] that you would be able to pretty much equip this truck without much difficulty

[22:08] yes sir it what we want is a pump that's capable

[22:14] of at least 1000 mid-ship Pawn purchases of PTO or an

[22:20] auxiliary pump use it on some structure fires with its limited size we're not

[22:25] going to have like a full engine we won't be able to put a thousand four to

[22:29] five inch on it we'll only have probably 400 feet but it'll be somewhat like a

[22:34] quick attack and then we can get a water supply to it

[22:40] it will be able to carry some sevas and most likely it will be a crew cab for

[22:46] four people

[22:49] Bill Kerry we're not sure yet but the weight thing three to

[22:58] three that'd be something when you get a call to check on a smoke alarm

[23:04] or something you'd take a smaller truck than the bigger one out or

[23:09] just had my culture well you know it's very difficult because you never know

[23:14] what you have until you get there yeah and you take the small one underneath

[23:18] the big one while you're too late for that um

[23:21] uh what I really envisioned it mostly doing is that the volunteers will use it

[23:28] because they do auto extrication rescue on this side of the account they'll use

[23:33] it through that use it to see they'll run calls out of back to us uh things

[23:38] like that I think we will use it mostly if our engine or our Quince in the shop

[23:43] and things like that we'll use it to fill in it won't be a first line

[23:47] apparatus for the Department per se it could be used as that

[23:53] temporarily but I think it's mostly for the restroom is what we're trying to do

[23:58] and trying to get that other use out of it

[24:03] less maintenance on one and then it is 30 the three are pretty

[24:09] much they were built before NFPA started specking trucks so they don't meet much

[24:14] of a standard safety thank you any other questions

[25:45] sermon in FPA and they were bought in 1999 so they're fairly well aged some of

[25:52] the bottles have expired and we've purchased some new bottles but they're

[25:56] low pressure they don't need any of the

[26:01] to go through two and then you start thinking about Replacements so they've

[26:05] had a long lengthy life and we had to have them serviced every

[26:10] year and flow tested and currently they're working we have

[26:15] several that aren't but we still have enough right now to keep us in operation

[26:20] so we're asking them again and what I understand

[26:25] we've talked to some people that ride grants professionally and this here is

[26:30] their big pushes on SCBA so we're hoping that we've been very conservative in the

[26:35] amount we're asking for to try to get them to approve this grant for us

[26:41] any questions coming which plan is because we were holding

[26:48] out hope that you know which made that Final Cut

[26:52] on that last cycle what's the plan if AF if we don't get

[26:58] the afg this year Chief the only plan that would be available in my mind that

[27:03] I know of is to ask in the budget to provide us with Air Max

[27:12] I'll just I'll just kind of go on record um I mean I I support you applying for

[27:19] the grant I really wish you'd also bring us a bid

[27:23] on you know four or six units so that we can go on a head start

[27:27] upgrading this part of the reason why I supported the tax increase was so we

[27:34] would have some extra and didn't get the afg grant so that the

[27:38] firefighters wouldn't be using frankly let's admit it it's out of date

[27:44] and it's borderline equipment even though it passes

[27:47] 16 years old is a little bit ridiculous on SCBA

[27:52] that's not acceptable yeah and I I would really like to see

[27:57] you bring that in to the council as the chief

[28:01] a bid on at least four Scots I don't pick what brands you want that you would

[28:06] try and get with this but bring in some because the guys we need to start

[28:11] phasing that in even if it's over a three year period to get rid of all this

[28:15] old junk and get some new up-to-date stuff for our guys you're correct as you

[28:21] just stated with the brand

[28:24] the yes ran together so we don't have two that

[28:30] don't match up that's another safety concern
