[13:08] kind of a sore eye. Um we finally come to the determination

[13:12] and and did find a leak over there. Um

[13:16] and just doing our various monthly reports, health samples and reports.

[13:22] Um blowing some hydrants off.

[13:24] Um just trying to get some residual keep

[13:27] the residual high. Some of the Some of the dead ends have to be done a little

[13:29] bit more often. Um so

[13:33] that's it on on the water end of it. Um highway uh replaced a culvert on

[13:39] Skillington Road, paved it, finished that.

[13:43] Um replaced a driveway culvert on 31. Um

[13:47] just west of the village, west of Lake Road.

[13:50] Um and just doing various got the parking

[13:53] lot done, of course, have them milled out and and bindered, which is scheduled

[13:58] to be topped tentatively the first week of of uh September, depending on the

[14:04] weather and and uh if there's any setbacks as far as

[14:08] schedules on the contractors and um and then just various repairs. Uh

[14:13] we're going to start mowing the shoulders and

[14:15] after they pave the parking lot, we'll start on the shoulders again

[14:19] mowing. I don't want to track a bunch of grass and and stuff on the parking lot

[14:22] before it's paved. Um I have to clean that up. It's kind of

[14:25] sticky and then the top of it doesn't stick to it

[16:34] in July. I says, "Excuse me, July?" And she was like, "Oh, no, no, no. I

[16:38] talked to him in July." I says, "Okay." So, I says, "Please call the lawyer." I

[16:43] says, "I think we deserve work product if we're paying for that." I says, "And

[16:47] I will call the comptroller." So, I called the comptroller. I spoke

[16:51] with Katie um in the comptroller's office. She got

[16:55] me over to Jacob. Um Jacob called me back and I explained the situation and

[17:01] that I wasn't getting a lot of answers and I wanted to get some answers.

[17:05] Um where we are right now, Jacob gave me the comptroller's lawyer's phone number

[17:10] as well as their email address. And so, I am going to be contacting the lawyers

[17:16] to find out where the heck this is. Um cuz as I explained to her, we've been

[17:20] working on this. We got the water district in February. Uh the paperwork

[17:24] has been in as far as we know, and we're just waiting for the comptroller to make

[17:29] the approval for the overage. And so that we would really

[17:34] like to have this done at least started this year.

[17:37] Um Emily told me once they get the comptroller's approval, then it goes to

[17:41] bid, and then after bid, they can actually start

[17:44] doing it. Um so that's kind of where we are right now. So I will be contacting

[17:49] the lawyers for the comptroller, and we'll go from there.

[18:47] uh designating uh childhood cancer awareness month in the month of

[18:51] September here in the town of Amory. Uh whereas September is national

[18:56] childhood cancer awareness month, a time to honor children and families affected

[19:00] by this deadly disease, and to rally support for groundbreaking research that

[19:05] can save kids' lives. And whereas the 2025 statistics from the

[19:09] American Cancer Society state that about 9,550

[19:14] children in the United States under the age of 15,

[19:18] 5,450 adolescents between the ages of 15 and

[19:22] 19 will be diagnosed with cancer and about 1,050 children under the age of 19

[19:28] are expected to die from cancer. Whereas in 2025 in the Rochester region,

[19:34] 61 local children have been newly diagnosed with cancer,

[19:38] five have relapsed and we have lost five children.

[19:42] And whereas everyone can help to improve treatment and cure childhood cancer by

[19:46] bringing a greater awareness to their communities,

[19:49] although cancer is a pernicious and complex

[19:52] National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month challenges us to change the

[19:55] numbers. We must remain vigilant to improve these statistics and press

[20:00] forward. And whereas we recognize the many

[20:04] organizations in our communities including Cure

[20:07] Childhood Cancer Association that provides services and support to this

[20:11] population, thereby enhancing the quality of life

[20:14] for these children and their families. And whereas Town of Murray residents are

[20:19] urged to recognize the impact of pediatric cancer on families within our

[20:23] community and honor the children in our community

[20:27] whose lives have been cut short by cancer.

[20:30] Now, therefore, as a supervisor of the Town of Murray, New York, I hereby

[20:34] proclaim the month of September 2026 to be Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

[21:38] accounting and reporting purposes, reasonable expenses associated with

[21:42] maintaining the privately owned Halburton Road Cemetery will be paid

[21:46] [clears throat] from Cemetery Services budget line 88 10.1.

[22:48] right-of-way to that cemetery many years ago in order to access that cemetery and

[22:52] maintain that cemetery on some some sort of a level.

[22:57] Um there's no grass in the cemetery. It's not a cemetery that we would mow,

[23:01] but it would be a cemetery that we would pick up brush, uh uh deadfalls, uh knock

[23:05] weeds down, and make it look presentable on an as-needed basis. And I think

[23:10] » cemetery, why are we using public funds to do that?

[23:14] » Uh because it is our opinion that that cemetery needs to be maintained instead

[23:17] of going >> society also requested that we take care

[23:20] of it. And we did a lot more research and found

[23:23] out that it isn't owned by anyone that's claiming it, and

[23:28] typically cemeteries in the village or the town are

[23:33] taken care of by >> By the town.

[23:35] » The town and cemetery. >> So, we just want to try and make it

[23:39] presentable. And I know Greece is already in it. The

[23:42] county has already done a lot of work in there.

[23:44] Uh but then when we found out it was privately owned, and

[23:48] we kind of ceased to assess, right? And now we're

[23:51] requesting to use a few funds to go in there and just do it maybe once or twice

[23:55] a year and make it presentable. >> Well, the only other privately owned

[23:59] cemetery to my knowledge is Sandy Creek Cemetery, which is maintained on a

[24:03] privately owned basis. Um well,

[24:07] » And they're they're taking care of that

[24:10] before it gets turned over to the because it's active.

[24:16] the state process and then they'll end up going back to the town. You know, I'm

[25:01] hosting services now be it resolved Supervisor

[25:05] Wrightmeyer is authorized to enter into an agreement with Zener USA for the

[25:08] period of February 20th, 2026 through February 19th, 2027 at a cost of

[25:15] $4,465.60

[25:18] subject to attorney approval. And be it further resolved that

[25:22] Supervisor Wrightmeyer is authorized to sign the agreement.
