[9:33] of each year, each officer department head or board or board of commission of

[9:38] the city shall submit to the mayor a complete statement of the financial

[9:41] needs and expected revenues of its office or

[9:44] department for the next fiscal year. The mayor shall assemble

[9:49] uh the statements so so uh so

[9:54] so submitted and prepared for the council and budget pool for the next

[9:58] fiscal year. Such budget pool will shall be presented to the council at its

[10:01] second reading in the month of April. The expenditures

[10:06] expenditures set forth in each budget proposal shall be shall

[10:10] not exceed the expected revenues of the city for the next fiscal year by an

[10:14] amount greater than the the expected unencumbered funds

[10:19] remaining at the end of the current fiscal year.

[10:27] » I think that translates to be shows a balanced budget zero.

[11:13] And my point is that we the mayor you presented us with this

[11:17] budget of about a negative of almost 298,000.

[11:21] And we worked diligently as a council to try and put it together to assist in the

[11:25] budget that was presented to us. With the work we put the 298

[11:30] or 288,000 different uh worksheets we used and got

[11:34] it down to only $129,000 deficit in this year's city budget

[11:40] budget deficit. I don't believe the exact number. I

[11:43] believe it's $129,000. So, that's

[11:47] I just want for the record that we worked with it as dealt the council

[11:51] worked with it. We had some ideas. We were able to trim a little bit of the

[11:54] fat here and there to take off $170,000, but we won't be able to get it to zero.

[12:00] Um you know, myself I think we gave some

[12:03] good ideas and some different things we could have looked at a little tighter to

[12:07] make the decision to try to get it to zero, but we didn't. So,

[12:11] I just want the record to stand that we tried,

[12:14] but we're still $129,000 coming out of the general fund as a budget for 2025 or

[12:19] 2026-2027. And those department heads who did help

[12:23] to try to bring it in and tighten up your budgets, thank you very much.

[12:27] So, that's my support.

[12:30] Okay, the question on the table is a S3 is equivalent adoption of

[12:36] the resolution number 1014 for the budget for fiscal year 2026-2027.
