[3:55] city hall and she will get you signed up. On that same token, I want to extend

[3:58] a sincere thank you and congratulations to the Salvation [clears throat] Army

[4:02] and 15 ABC for their hope for the holidays campaign. If you didn't hear,

[4:06] they were able to bring in last uh Friday over 1,700 toys uh into our

[4:12] community that we given out over the holiday season. So, that's a a wonderful

[4:16] thing. and they they exceeded their their goal on that. Uh Santa Claus wants

[4:20] me to let you know that he'll be back in town tomorrow, the 10th, as well as the

[4:24] 17th on Wednesdays, uh between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. and then Sunday the 14th, noon

[4:30] to 1 Adam Street, that is summer home. Uh city hall holiday schedule, Christmas

[4:36] Eve and New Year's Eve will be the same regular scheduled business hours, but

[4:41] Christmas Day and New Year's Day, the city hall offices will be closed.

[4:46] Uh just a reminder, this is the 30th year for the Walleye Drop. Believe it or

[4:49] not, there's a huge celebration. They're actually bringing the festivities back

[4:53] to the original location uh north of the traffic light on Madison Street between

[5:21] got the contract later earlier today uh for the Fourth of July fireworks. We're

[5:26] going to up the ante $20,000 worth of fireworks this year. So finance

[5:30] committee, keep that in mind, please. Um but we'll have some fundraiser

[5:34] fundraising activities to celebrate the 250th anniversary of district nation.

[5:39] Uh, as Madame President mentioned, last week uh or two weeks ago, we had uh the

[5:45] representatives from GOB bus, I sent an email out to to everyone asking those

[5:48] that weren't in attendance to take a look at that. Again, there's an

[5:51] ordinance in front of you. We are under a bit of a time constraint. We need to

[5:54] sign that agreement by the 19th of this month to ensure that that we'll be part

[6:00] of that that program uh next spring here in Port Clinton. And you may have seen

[6:06] some activity at Waterworks Park in the past couple of days. Uh most of the

[6:10] components for the splash pad are here. There's a pre-construction meeting

[6:13] scheduled for 2:00 tomorrow in this office. Um so you'll start to see a lot

[6:17] of activity shortly after uh with that splash pad in downtown at Waterworks

[6:56] It appropriates the net amount of $6.9 million.

[7:00] 6.96 $625 for the operations of police department, cemetery, street, water,

[7:09] uh, sewer, fire department, and other necessary funds and is expected to cover

[7:15] all, uh, estimated expenditures over that

[7:19] time with a little bit of wig work just in case. So, I'd ask you to ask that

[7:23] tonight.

[8:23] so um Mr. Newer asked that this be passed

[8:29] um the first meeting in January, which would be the third read of this. So, um

[8:36] it's pretty straightforward. Um maybe some of the names have changed a little

[8:40] bit, but otherwise it's just so we can request more money.

[9:25] assume that they want their paperwork in since the federal government's been

[9:32] off here and there. This is this is just applying for new

[9:55] spreading. And bringing up that note, I implore the residents of the city as

[10:06] time and there's snow and slow down. Sold is $75 a ton. There's about five

[10:12] ton on a truck. So you do the math and we've gone through quite a bit of solo

[10:18] already. Um, you know, we're gonna it's we're not the roads aren't going to be

[10:23] like they are in July. We're going to cut back on the on on the amount of salt

[10:28] we use and where we use it. So, I'm just imploring everyone to just take a little

[10:32] time, be careful. Um, salt is nothing but bad. It's not good for the

[10:37] environment. It's not good for the roads. It's not good for the machinery.

[10:42] So, there's nothing good about other than it melts ice. So, keep that in mind

[10:46] as as you throughout the the winter season. Um, the reventment project on

[10:52] Lakeshore Drive is going along. The poles have all been moved to the other

[10:55] side of the road. And if you've been out there, it's amazing to look at that how

[10:59] they place those those uh uh rocks. I mean, [snorts] it

[11:05] they're just they're all in line. They're level. and it's going to be a

[11:09] nice uh it's going to be aesthetically nice and it's going to be very

[11:12] functional as far as keeping the lake where it belongs.

[11:16] Um the city Christmas tree is up and it looks nice and we're glad to have it. Um

[11:22] there is dirt that's been hauled into the Waterworks Park. You'll see they're

[11:26] hauling in somewhere around 900 yards and that's for the uh splash pad project

[11:32] uh as part of the splash pad project. and I'm meeting weekly with uh

[11:38] engineering firms uh uh via Teams or Zoom or whatever they call it. Um and

[11:44] we're we're getting closer and closer to putting you know putting bids out here

[11:48] and getting some work started as far as on the uh flip project. So it it's it's

[11:54] getting there just you know we're asking for patience to bear [laughter] with us.

[11:57] Uh we're dealing with quite a bit of our funding agencies and they all have hoops

[12:01] for us to jump through. And that's all I have. Is anybody any questions for me?

[16:38] needs to look up our ordinances what they currently are. There were a lot of

[16:42] changes made with the um the criminal section which you guys don't really

[16:47] participate much in, but that's important for the police department. Um

[16:51] and when it goes to making charging decisions

[16:55] and basically a lot of if not all of our ordinance are in compliance with the

[17:01] Ohio Revised Code. Um that particular ordinance is updated by a third party

[17:09] that updates all of the um ordinance in all of the cities across Ohio and that's

[17:16] why they put those in to match the revised code until we pass them were not

[17:21] in line with the revised code. That's the main reason for that one why we

[17:26] would want it sooner or later on our books.
