[2:25] visibility. Uh myself meeting with

[2:29] as part of our communication strategy.

[2:32] Road safety program still relies on our

[2:34] check stops and all of our members

[2:37] participating in traffic enforcement. Um

[2:41] the big key there is going to be

[2:42] alcohol-related offenses. We're trying

[2:44] to focus on that that aspect, which is

[2:46] why check stops come up. And crime

[2:48] reduction, [clears throat] you're going

[2:49] to see us

[2:51] as you have been is knocking on doors,

[2:53] checking our curfew people. And that

[2:55] usually results in other criminal code

[2:57] charges going up because we find them

[3:00] breaching fail to complies and so on.

[3:02] We'll talk about that a little later. So

[3:07] Um statistics, you had a chance to

[3:10] review. Just go over some of the

[3:11] highlights for me.

[3:13] Um your collisions went down in the RM,

[3:16] more specifically in Ile des Chenes.

[3:21] Your traffic report is probably where

[3:24] I'd like to focus on. Um you'll see a

[3:28] number of increases

[3:30] in the reported and charges

[3:33] um in the RM.

[3:36] Um

[3:38] which had the bulk of the increases. St.

[3:40] Adolphe had a minor increase, Grande

[3:42] Pointe

[3:43] west of the Red River, and you saw drops

[3:46] in Ile des Chenes and no change in Ste.

[3:49] Agathe.

[3:50] Um

[3:51] on the reported side um our traffic

[3:54] services and I've spoken about them

[3:56] multiple times, they're pretty well

[3:59] matching us effort for effort and in

[4:02] some places um

[4:05] they surpass what we're doing. So, we're

[4:07] kind of getting double dose of traffic

[4:09] enforcement. It was mentioned to me and

[4:11] uh I think it was in Grand Pointe where

[4:13] the black unmarked uh Ford Ford

[4:16] Explorers doing some work, that's our

[4:18] traffic services people. So, we don't

[4:20] see them

[4:21] um kind of like our vehicles, but

[4:23] they're out there doing um as much if

[4:26] not more work than we are when it comes

[4:28] to traffic services.

[4:29] Um

[4:30] you'll notice charges uh in the RM

[4:34] Sainte-Adolphe went up. It dropped in

[4:39] Uh no changes in Sainte-Agathe and Grand

[4:41] Pointe. Um

[4:43] the changes in west of the Red River

[4:45] basically came from traffic services. Uh

[4:47] that's where the bulk of the work came

[4:49] from.

[4:50] Uh just to give you an idea, um

[4:54] when you look at charges for the for the

[4:57] area, uh Saint-Pierre detachment wrote

[5:00] 50, traffic services wrote 98.

[5:04] Uh we wrote 13 warnings, they wrote six.

[5:07] Uh we dealt with 108

[5:10] traffic related files, they dealt with

[5:12] 107.

[5:14] So, they're kind of the um

[5:16] hidden aspect to our traffic

[5:18] enforcement. Any questions on that?

[5:23] » No, it is the uh west of the Red River

[5:25] being monitored more. That's good.

[5:31] to uh CAO Ray the other day and um it is

[5:34] a challenge for us to get up there

[5:36] uh with without a call for service um

[5:40] bringing us that way, but um our traffic

[5:42] services is helping us out there. Um

[5:46] I will talk about burnout road. There

[5:48] was a report that came to our office

[5:49] about speeders on Burnout Road. Um it

[5:52] was sent to one of my corporals who

[5:54] actually took an interest in some of the

[5:57] commercial B&E's that were happening in

[5:59] the Grand Pointe area.

[6:01] Uh so he spent some time there. Um tread

[6:04] the traffic stats themselves didn't

[6:06] really climb to too much. Uh but he did

[6:08] deal with some unregistered unlicensed

[6:10] vehicles parking on Burnout Road uh

[6:14] thinking in front of a home-based

[6:15] business.

[6:17] Uh dealt with that to pull it off the

[6:18] road. It was a safety issue.

[6:20] We are aware of the ball diamonds

[6:22] potentially being part of this factor.

[6:25] Um so far nothing's really come up

[6:28] uh that we can attribute to the ball

[6:29] diamonds, but it kind of makes sense.

[6:31] The traffic's going north after the ball

[6:33] game's over. Uh I think we know where

[6:35] where the issue's coming from.

[6:37] Um there was a mention of the CSO.

[6:40] Uh

[6:42] this may be one of those projects that

[6:45] would be helpful uh when the CSO gets

[6:47] equipped with his vehicle. And uh as

[6:50] he's allowed and he's authorized to

[6:53] enforce uh speeding under the HTA. So

[6:56] having the proper equipment for him

[6:57] might be helpful to deal with some of

[6:59] these hotspots.

[7:05] Uh I know we've looked at it and uh

[7:08] it's just sort of part of

[7:21] Sainte-Agathe, Eldridge, and Grand

[7:23] Pointe.

[7:24] Um and your provincial statutes

[7:29] calls for service went down in the RM of

[7:30] Eldridge, and but they went up west of

[7:32] the Red River.

[7:33] Most of this is related to Mental Health

[7:35] Act 911

[7:37] fire prevention

[7:39] and IPDA uh which are drunk in public.

[7:43] So, where you saw the decrease, they

[7:45] were related to that. Where you saw the

[7:47] increase was also related to the same

[7:48] thing.

[7:51] In the other criminal code side,

[7:52] increases in the RM and St. Adolphe.

[7:55] Decreases in Ile des Chenes and Grande

[7:57] Pointe.

[7:58] Uh and this is where you'll see um

[8:01] failed to complys.

[8:03] Um

[8:05] causing a disturbance

[8:07] and for disobeying a court order. Uh

[8:10] failed to complys in the RM, St.

[8:12] Adolphe, and Ile des Chenes were all

[8:13] consistent. Uh that was one of the

[8:15] issues we were we were facing. Again,

[8:18] some of it is tied The increases are

[8:20] tied to our curfew checks. The decreases

[8:23] could be something somebody moving out

[8:26] of the area or no longer being on

[8:28] conditions.

[8:34] increases in the RM and West of the Red

[8:36] River.

[8:37] Uh decreases in Ste. Agathe and Ile des

[8:39] Chenes. In the RM, your assaults went

[8:41] up. West of the Red River, your assaults

[8:44] and pointing of firearms went up.

[8:46] Ste. Agathe, your assaults went down,

[8:48] sex assaults went down. And Ile des

[8:50] Chenes, your threats went down.

[8:54] Uh

[8:54] on property offenses, a little bit of a

[8:57] of a caveat to the property offenses. Uh

[8:59] we've seen some

[9:00] uh some stats in July that

[9:04] kind of contradict what I'm going to

[9:05] tell you.

[9:06] Uh I think we've seen a bit of an

[9:07] increase in the Grande Pointe area with

[9:09] some commercial thefts. But for April,

[9:11] May, June, that wasn't the fact. So,

[9:12] these are stats reflect April, May,

[9:14] June.

[9:15] Um property crime went up in the RM. All

[9:18] theft related.

[9:20] They went down in Ile des Chenes and

[9:21] Grande Pointe. It was theft related as

[9:24] well. But in Ile des Chenes, you saw

[9:25] your mischiefs go up. So, there was a

[9:27] bigger de- decrease in thefts

[9:30] than there was an increase in mischiefs,

[9:31] but we saw a little bit of of uh

[9:34] property crime go up there.

[10:35] going to Cross Lake, and one going back

[10:41] Uh, we have received our our, um,

[10:44] the corporal that replaced corp, uh,

[10:47] uh, we became invested. Gavin went to

[10:49] Depot. Uh, we've received uh, Dave Helm

[10:53] from Selkirk on a promotion. He's in

[11:00] And, uh, we have lost another corporal

[11:03] to headquarters for 2 months on a

[11:05] secondment. So, we're kind of flipping

[11:06] bodies a bit at the central traffic unit

[11:11] months and we should

[11:13] be all settled. Our young guys should be

[11:15] out on the road on their own. You should

[11:17] see the increase in visibility because

[11:18] of that.

[12:08] have our local call it a 911 group chat

[12:13] uh with about 40 50 of us. When

[12:15] something happens, this goes out and

[12:17] that's kind of how we rectify some

[12:19] issues

[12:20] uh along the way, but I'm just wondering

[12:22] if that's something of interest to the

[12:25] RCMP where you know, again, people

[12:29] willing to share. I don't know how this

[12:31] registry work, but I I assume it gives

[12:33] you guys access to uh

[12:35] uh camera footage out of businesses and

[12:38] people's homes.

[12:40] Um I don't know what the success is in

[12:42] the town of Morris, but um

[12:44] anyways, I thought I'd brought that

[12:45] forward to you see if there's benefit or

[12:49] you know, how all that works.

[13:55] works really well.

[20:30] it was. Again, kind of a stupid setup,

[20:32] but that's kind of what it was. So, it

[20:33] comes in as alarm for that and it turned

[20:35] out to be steam from the shower which

[20:37] activated the alarm which

[20:39] blah blah blah.

[20:44] third time I went there and didn't

[20:45] really chew him out. I'm like, "You got
