[3:39] Gil. I really appreciate being here
[3:40] today. Thank you so much for
[3:42] blessing us.
[3:45] Okay. We thought we
[3:46] are going to move on to appointments
[3:47] with an appointment running commission
[3:49] I think we have our vice chairman here today, Mr. Shane,
[3:57] Mayor of City Council.
[3:59] So we're only at three for you that are up there.
[4:02] There are two plots that we didn't see any replats we didn't see any issues with that we've
[4:08] previously seen as zoning cases.
[4:11] And then the final one that's before us is the specific use permit for a detached garage.
[4:19] This is one that you've already seen before.
[4:20] it's come back in different sizes and shapes and we asked the luckily it's it's
[4:27] not a metal building anymore it's a stick build but the side effect of that is
[4:32] that instead of having stone all the way up on the garage base he has a three
[4:37] foot Wayne Scott and then it's hardy plank above that when we asked the applicant
[4:42] about that and he said that his wife had requested to make the change so I couldn't
[4:47] I couldn't really argue with it when we didn't see any issues.
[4:49] We were pleased as a commission that the applicant changed it from a metal building to a conventional
[4:56] building.
[4:57] So, there's the only thing that we have for you.
[5:00] Any questions for the vice chair?
[5:03] I don't see any.
[5:03] Thank you, Mr. Shayne.
[5:04] We appreciate being here.
[5:05] Thank you.
[5:06] We're going to move on to the open form.
[5:08] I'll open the open form and just remind her this is a time for anyone to address the city
[5:12] Council on any in the public on any topic that's not already listed on the agenda or set
[5:18] for a public hearing.
[5:19] Speak during this time.
[5:20] Please turn in the yellow form a request to address the council form to the city secretary
[5:26] and you can do that on your way to the podium if you haven't already.
[5:30] Pursue Council policy public comments should be limited to three minutes.
[5:34] I respect for others times and just reminder during open forum if you want to talk about
[5:39] things that are not on our agenda, we are barred from commenting on matters because they're
[5:43] not listening to our agenda for the Texas Open Mutants Act.
[5:47] That will open the open forum.
[5:48] Would anybody like to speak to any open forum?
[5:50] Please raise your hand.
[5:53] Seeing that, I'll close the open forum.
[5:55] We'll move back to the agenda.
[5:58] We'll take action as a result of the executive session.
[6:02] May I put it to a moment?
[6:04] Thank you, Mr. Mayor.

[6:18] I'll call for your vote.
[6:22] That passes unanimously.
[6:23] May I put it in motion?
[6:25] And these are appointments and some reappointments.
[6:28] First, to appointments for the Planning and Zoning

[7:21] Oh well for a second I'll call for your vote and
[7:27] that passes unanimously.
[7:29] We're going to continue with reappointment to boards and commissions.
[7:32] Be patient with me because we have several of them.
[7:34] I'm going to make a motion to reappoint to the architectural review board.
[7:38] Kevin Hadawi for an additional term and I'll make a motion in that same motion to reappoint
[7:45] Robert McAngus also to the architectural review board for another additional two-year term.
[7:53] With that I'll also make a motion to reappoint Hayden Fraser to the historic preservation
[8:00] advisory board for an additional two-year term and I'll make a motion to reappoint Jake

[8:13] two-year term and Marsha has in Hager, hopefully I got that right, to an additional two-year
[8:20] term.
[8:22] And then in addition to those, we'd like to point Gay and Hillrood, we would point Gay and
[8:29] Hillrood to planning and zoning for an additional two-year term and Alice Bentley to planning and
[8:35] for an additional two-year term, and with that I'll call for a second, Mr. Hanson.
[8:41] Yeah, May I thank you?
[8:42] I will second all the reappointments that you just described.
[8:46] All right, thank you, I'll call for you, but I have to ask unanimously.
[8:52] Okay, we'll move on to the consent agenda.
[8:55] Mr. Lewis.
[8:57] Mr. Mayor, I'd like a motion to put the consent agenda, which is Adams 1 through 10.
[9:01] And
[9:05] motion by Mr. Lewis, may we put them on?
[9:08] And I will second in motion.

[14:13] to the company and ACES Legal Council.
[14:18] With that, I'll call for a vote.
[14:20] The
[14:25] consent agenda passes unanimously, I'm going to move on to public hearings.
[14:31] First item on the agenda, Z2026-031, hold public hearing, discuss considered request
[14:36] by Laura Baggett of Laura Juarez, Baggett Studio LLC on behalf of Jonathan and Keely Ogle,
[14:47] for the approval of an ordinance for an S.U.P. for residential infill and staff, a subdivision
[14:51] for the purpose of constructing a single-family home on two parcels of land, being a .287 acre
[15:00] Identified as lots, one in two block a turtle co phase three addition city of Rockwell. Right. Thank you, Mr. Mayor. Councilmember is the subject property pictured here in outlined in yellow. Is that 0.287 anchor track of land, currently consisting of two lots in the turtle cove subdivision. The property is on plan development district two for single family detached land uses. Now the applicant is proposing to demolish the two existing residences, combine the lots into a single lot and
[15:29] construct a two-story 4,864-square-foot single-family home.
[15:35] Now phase three of the total code subdivision currently consists of 102 residential lots.
[15:40] It's fully developed and has been in existence since at least 2,000.
[15:44] Based on this, it does meet the Unified Development Code's definition for an established subdivision.
[15:52] And under the UDC, the redevelopment of a property for a new single-family home within
[15:57] and in established subdivision requires the approval
[16:00] of a specific use permit.
[16:02] And on our next slide here,
[16:04] you'll see the residential plot plan being proposed
[16:07] for that property and then the following slide
[16:11] is the elevations for that.
[16:13] Now in reviewing requests for residential infill,
[16:15] the city council's asked to consider
[16:17] the proposed size location and architecture
[16:20] of the home in relation to the surrounding residents
[16:24] And to assist the City Council tonight in this consideration, staff has provided a housing analysis in your packet showing existing homes in the area.
[16:34] Now, staff should point out that the proposed home does meet all of the requirements of Plan Development District 2 and the Unified Development Code and is generally consistent in materials and sizes, the existing homes in the subdivision.
[16:47] However, as with any requisite use permit, this is a discretionary decision for the City Council pending a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
[16:57] And we did send out notices on this case.
[17:00] We sent out 73 notices to property owners and occupants within 500 feet of the subject property.
[17:05] And as of tonight, we've received three notices in either in three in opposition, all of which have been provided in your packet.
[17:11] We also took this to the Planning and Zoning Commission on July 20 and they voted to recommend
[17:16] approval to you by a vote of 6-0 with Commissioner Hillier to absent.
[17:20] With that in your packet, you'll find staff's draft ordinance.
[17:23] This is a public hearing and the applicant and staff are available to answer any questions.
[17:28] Thank you.
[17:29] Thank you.
[17:29] I'll open the public hearing and the applicant can come forward, please.
[17:33] Any questions to staff from here from the applicant?
[17:36] Seeing none.
[17:38] Go ahead.
[17:40] Well I think Ryan kind of explained it pretty well, but yeah my client has the two pieces
[17:48] of property and they'd like to combine them into one and do a new home.
[17:52] I think we're trying to meet all of the HOA and the city requirements as far as building
[17:59] materials and look.
[18:04] You had to make some adjustments for the garage orientation or something.
[18:07] did. Yes, we originally my client would like, would wanted to do a side entry garage,
[18:12] but per the PD, we can't only have a side entry garage, so now we have two front facing
[18:18] and two side entry garages.
[18:20] Yeah, I have a question for you, Ryan. I mean, I know several of us going through this
[18:24] comp plan, we've been fighting for more side entry because we think it, it looks great.
[18:29] Why did, why was there a problem with allowing the side entry here?
[18:32] So plan development district two specifically states that it has to be a forward-facing garage or a J swing
[18:40] You know put the definitions the unified development code the side entry wasn't permitted and so we have to follow that zoning ordinance
[18:46] But in this case the applicant was able to still have two facing the side as long as they had the two facing the street, so okay
[18:54] So it's for yeah to fall car garage. Yeah, okay, originally we were going to do three car, but
[18:59] But, and I'm sure when the code was developed, you know, the lots are smaller, and you can't
[19:06] do a side entry physically on one lot, so I'm guessing that's why the PD was probably
[19:11] developed that way.
[19:12] Great.
[19:13] Awesome.
[19:13] Anybody have any questions for the applicant?
[19:17] And I know the applicant's own a third home there too, right?
[19:20] They do.
[19:20] Okay.
[19:21] They're just going to live in that one.
[19:22] Want to build this one?
[19:23] Yes.
[19:24] First row problems.
[19:26] Yeah.
[19:26] Originally they were going to tear that house down.
[19:29] Yeah.
[19:29] The one that they're in okay, but then the lot next door came up for sale just coincidentally
[19:35] So they were like, well, why don't we buy that one and just tear that one down and then he realized well
[19:40] I have two lots, so maybe I should you know
[19:43] Yeah, like I said
[19:46] Yes, yes and evolved
[19:49] Is there anybody you'd like to speak during the public hearing on the side of please raise your hand?
[19:53] You're seeing none. I'll close the public hearing bring it back before council
[19:58] Mr. Lewis. Mayor Omega motion to proceed to 0260031.
[20:05] Motion by Mr. Lewis, Councilwoman Campbell. Mayor I'd like to second that motion.
[20:11] Got a motion by Mr. Lewis, second by Councilwoman Campbell, there's an ordinance to be read.
[20:16] In ordinance of the City Council of the City of Rockwell, Texas, a menning plan
[20:20] and Development District 2, PD-2,
[20:23] ordinance number 2407,
[20:25] and the Unified Development Code,
[20:27] ordinance number 20-02 of the City of Rockwall,
[20:31] Rockwall County, Texas, as previously amended,
[20:34] so as to grant a specific use permit
[20:37] for residential infield and an established subdivision
[20:40] to allow the construction of a single family home
[20:43] on a 0.287 acre parcel land identified as lots one and two
[20:50] Rock A, Turtle Cove, Phase III Edition, City of Rockwall, Rockwall County, Texas, and
[20:56] more specifically described and depicted in exhibit A of this ordinance,
[21:01] providing for special conditions, providing for a penalty of a fine not to exceed the
[21:06] sum of $2,000 for each offense, providing for a severability clause,
[21:11] providing for a repealer clause, providing for an effective date.
[21:16] I'll call for your vote.
[21:18] It passes you name, so congratulations.
[21:21] With that, we'll move on to item number 2, Z2026-32.
[21:26] Hold the public hearing and discuss the considered request by Ron Hawkins for the approval of an ordinance for an S.U.P.
[21:31] For a banquet facility, slash event hall, and conjunction with the existing garden supply plant nursery on a 9.9398 acre tract of land.
[21:40] I don't identify as track three of the J.H. Bailey survey,
[21:43] abstract number 34, City of Rockwall.
[21:45] Ryan, I know you've all seen this case before, but.
[21:48] Yes, sir.
[21:50] You have seen this case a couple of times.
[21:53] So tonight, what the applicant is requesting
[21:54] is the specific use proportion of this request.
[21:59] Now, the subject property is outlined here in yellow.
[22:02] It is that 9.94ic, attractive land currently
[22:05] zone light industrial and you can see it extends from SH276 all the way to the south adjacent
[22:11] to the Emerson Farm subdivision. So a little background on the request, I know you're
[22:18] aware of the background but for record purposes the existing garden and supply plant nursery
[22:24] were established prior to annexation in 2008. And in late 2025 staff identified the that
[22:33] a banquet facility event hall and coffee shop had been established on the property without
[22:38] a certificate of occupancy. The City Council subsequently directed staff to amend the
[22:42] Unified Development Code to allow the banquet facility or event hall land use in the light
[22:46] industrial district through a specific use permit and that amendment was approved in March
[22:51] of this year and the property was re-zoned from an agricultural district to a light industrial
[22:57] district in June of this year. Tonight the applicant again is requesting that specific
[23:02] use permit to operate the banquet facility in a bend hall within the approximately
[23:08] 2,664 square foot conservatory depicted on the concept plan which is on our next slide here.
[23:18] The remaining land uses would be all allowed by right as depicted on the proposed concept plan.
[23:25] and so everything that's being done today
[23:28] is either legally non-conforming
[23:29] or permitted by right land use.
[23:32] Now, based on the uses and square footages currently
[23:34] identified on this concept plan,
[23:36] staff calculated the preliminary parking requirement
[23:39] at 61 spaces, and the concept plan does
[23:42] depict 117 parking spaces, which is in compliance
[23:46] with the parking requirements.
[23:48] Now, I should note that the concept plan currently depicts
[23:52] the parking areas is being recycled asphalt parking lot, which is actually kind of a legally
[23:58] non-conforming situation on the property however they're expanding it.
[24:03] So if you approved tonight's specific use permit, you'd be waiving the concrete parking
[24:06] lot requirement and allowing the expansion of those recycled asphalt areas.
[24:14] In addition, the operational, in the operational conditions in your draft ordinance, in your
[24:22] The event hall used to only the conservatory area and restrict the recycled asphalt parking
[24:27] lot to the area depicted on the concept.
[24:30] The applicant would be required to obtain the approval of a site plan and final platch
[24:35] should you approve this, but this will be the last council action regarding this case.
[24:40] With that, this is a public hearing and as with any specific use permit, it is a discretionary
[24:48] decision for the City Council pending a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
[24:54] On July 14th, we took this to the Planning and Zoning Commission and they ultimately
[24:57] recommended approval to you by a vote of 6-0 with Commissioner Hillier Dapson.
[25:02] With that, we also sent out notices and as of tonight we have not received any notices in
[25:08] favor and opposition to the applicants request.
[25:12] Again, in your packet is our draft ordinance.
[25:14] This is a public hearing and the applicant is applicant and staff are available to answer questions. Thank you
[25:20] grass applicant to come forward and
[25:22] Ryan just as a reminder when we did the zoning change to allow for this we
[25:27] We did make a caveat that that that is not transferable the so
[25:33] So
[25:33] You made that recommendation with the zoning change, but we couldn't put that in place with the zoning change
[25:39] So we did put that into the SUV ordinance. It's in front of you tonight
[25:42] It's not transferable to anyone outside of the family, but it is transferable within family members and family members.
[25:51] Which is what we request. I'll just verify it for everybody that it is here. So there's no concerns there.
[25:56] Any other questions for staff?
[25:59] Are you sir? Good. Good to see you.
[26:01] I'm going to open the public hearing. Anybody like to speak on this matter?
[26:06] Seeing none, I'll close the public hearing. I think you've presented us a few times. Anything you want to say?
[26:11] Okay.
[26:12] Not at this moment.
[26:13] Okay.
[26:14] Great.
[26:14] We're glad you're here.
[26:15] Thank you for coming.
[26:16] Appreciate it.
[26:17] I'll make a motion to approve item Z, 2026, 032, if I can get a second.
[26:23] Mr. Henson.
[26:25] Thank you, Mayor.
[26:25] Yes, I would gladly second that motion.
[26:27] Got it.
[26:28] Motion by myself a second.
[26:29] Mr. Henson, there's an ordinance be with.
[26:34] An ordinance of the City Council of the City of Rockwell, Texas, amending the Unified
[26:38] development code orange number 20-02 of the City of Rockwell, Texas as previously amended
[26:45] so as to grant a specific use or use permit to allow a banquet facility slash event hall
[26:52] in conjunction with an existing garden supplies flash plant nursery on a 9.9398 acre
[27:01] Attractive land identified as track three of the J.H. Bailey survey abstract number 34 city of Rockwell, Rockwell County, Texas
[27:10] Providing four special conditions, providing for a penalty over fine not to exceed the sum of two thousand dollars for each offense
[27:18] Providing for severability clause, providing for repeal or clause, providing for an effective date
[27:23] No call for the new
[27:27] Possible coming we appreciate y'all have been very patient through this process. I know it's
[27:31] Yeah, but good luck. Absolutely.
[27:37] And we're going to move on to Z-2026-034.
[27:40] Hold the public hearing. Discussing through request by badly
[27:43] standard of legendary outdoor solutions on behalf of Wade Stelser,
[27:47] for approval of an ordinance for an S.U.P. for detached garage on a one-acre
[27:51] partial of land, identifies a lot of 18 block A Saddlebrook, a state's rock wall.
[27:56] Right. Thank you, Mr. Mayor.
[27:58] Council members, the subject property outlined here in yellow is in the Saddlebrook
[28:02] state subdivision, it is owned single family 16 district. Currently situated on the
[28:07] subject property is a 2,770 square foot single family home that was constructed in 2002.
[28:14] Tonight the applicant is requesting a specific use permit to allow for the construction of
[28:18] a detached garage. The proposed detached garage will be situated in the rear yard and measure
[28:25] approximately 20 feet by 50 feet or have a total area of 1,000 square feet. It would be
[28:32] located approximately 23 feet from the eastern side property line, as you can see here, more
[28:38] than 107 feet from the rear property line, and approximately 11 feet from the existing
[28:43] structure. The structure would have an overall height of 14 feet 10 inches with a midpoint
[28:50] height of approximately 12 feet 7 inches. The exterior of the structure is clad in LP smart
[28:55] siding, as was indicated by the vice chairman earlier, and they are incorporating a stone
[29:01] Wayne Scott, which you can see on the front of the building, how,
[29:07] again, this structure
[29:10] does meet, sorry, I got lost my place. But anyways, according to the Unified Development
[29:19] Code, detached garages are allowed to be up to 625 square feet by right in a single-family
[29:25] 16-district. Now, at 1,000 square feet, the proposed garage does exceed that by 375 square
[29:32] fee which is approximately 60%, approximately 60% larger than what we allow. The garage
[29:39] would represent approximately 36% of the floor area of the existing residence and the additional
[29:45] square footage is the reason the applicants coming to you tonight to request the specific
[29:48] use permit. Now I should note that although the garage does exceed the maximum permitted size,
[29:54] in the Saddlebrook is
[30:00] State subdivision, there are several other accessory structures that have been built under various codes. So you have some that are of equal size or larger. And then you have some that adhere to the material requirements on the primary and some that are metal. So you kind of have a plethora of different examples throughout the subdivision. But with that, this is a discretionary decision based on the size, location, and architecture of the proposed
[30:29] garage in relation to the primary structure, and this being a zoning case, we took this
[30:35] to the Planning and Zoning Commission on July 14th, and the Commission at that meeting
[30:40] voted 6 to 0 to recommend approval to you with Commissioner Conway absent.
[30:45] In addition, staff mailed 30 notices to property owners and occupants within 500 feet, and as
[30:50] of tonight we've received three notices in favor of the applicants request. All of those
[30:53] are in your packet. With that, this is a public hearing. There's a draft ordinance in your
[30:59] packet and the applicant and staff are available to answer any questions.
[31:03] Thank you.
[31:04] I'll ask the applicant to come forward, and while that's happening, we'll open the public hearing.
[31:08] Anybody else like to speak on this matter during the public hearing?
[31:12] Seeing none, I'll close the public hearing. Any questions of staff by council?
[31:17] I don't see any.
[31:18] Sir, do you want to just tell us a little about your case?
[31:20] Yes, sir. My name is Wade Stilzer. I'm the property owner.
[31:24] Just something we've been planning forever.
[31:25] We're kids are graduated from Rockwell and moved out and graduated from college, one of them now.
[31:32] So just place to store my fish and boat and my fishing gear and do a little bit of tanker and that's it.
[31:38] Okay, great.
[31:40] Okay, I think that's it.
[31:43] And bring it back before council.
[31:49] Mr. Hanson.
[31:50] Yeah, if there's no other comments, I would make a motion to approve 2026-034 for the detached garage.
[31:59] Thank you, Councilwoman Jeffus.
[32:04] Can you repeat that?
[32:06] Oh, I hit the wrong button.
[32:08] I'll turn it off.
[32:08] I said I'll second.
[32:10] Great.
[32:11] I got a motion by Council Member Henson for approval and I have a second by Councilwoman Jeffus
[32:17] and there is an ordinance to be read.
[32:19] In ordinance of the City Council of the City of Rockwell, Texas, amending the Unified Development
[32:24] Code, ordinance number 20-02 of the City of Rockwell, Rockwell County, Texas, as previously
[32:30] C amended so as to grant a specific use permit for a detached to garage on a one acre parcel of land identified as lot 18 block A of the
[32:41] saddle block book the state's number two addition city of Rockwall Rockwall County, Texas more specifically described and depicted in the exhibit A of
[32:51] disordinates. Providing for special conditions, providing for a penalty of a fine not to exceed
[32:56] the sum of $2,000 for each offense, providing for a severability clause, providing for a
[33:02] repealer clause, providing for an effective date.
[33:05] We'll call for your vote.
[33:09] That passes unanimously. Congratulations.
[33:11] Thank you, sir.
[33:11] Yep.
[33:13] We're going to move on to action items. Discussed the request by our lives, vote on the
[33:17] that HG supply, seeking approval of variance for the city sign ordinance for projection sign on the property, okay, that $26.51 set rules and take any action necessary.
[33:28] And though Jeffers not in today.
[33:31] Thank you, Mr. Mayor. Craig Fossey sitting in for Jeffrey Widmer.
[33:36] Before you tonight, Elias Pope with HG supply has requested to seek a variance to the city sign ordinance standards.
[33:42] Mr. Pope is requesting to construct a projection sign on the west facade, which is also the northwest corner of the building that's currently under construction at 26-51 Sunset Ridge.
[33:55] Our sign on this does contain provisions on projection signs. The allowed size is 12 square feet and high projection height is 4 feet.
[34:05] The proposed sign would be 12 feet by 12 feet, which is a total of 144 square feet, with a vertical projection of approximately 14 feet above the building height.
[34:18] Mr. Elias has submitted the attached letter that was in your packet and believes that the proposed sign would be necessary in addition.
[34:29] Mr. Elias Pope said that he would have someone here to speak on his behalf if you had
[34:36] any questions.
[34:36] I'm also available if you have any questions for staff.
[34:40] Well, I come forward.
[34:46] So you name him.
[34:47] Address for the record.
[34:49] A live spoke 14 Kinsington.
[34:51] Faith?
[34:52] Yes.
[34:52] Elias just real quickly.
[34:54] Why didn't you bring your guitar tonight and play us some music?
[34:57] I was going to.
[34:58] I was going to bring food.
[34:59] I mean, beverages, but I didn't know if it was appropriate or not.
[35:03] Last time I was in a meeting with Elias and got his guitar out and started talking
[35:08] because he needed his own background music.
[35:11] And he started talking while he was playing the guitar.
[35:13] Just to show off, like, once in a while you get to do that.
[35:16] Well, great.
[35:17] Tell us about why you think this sign is...
[35:19] Do we have a visual scoop at the visual set for council?
[35:22] I don't know.
[35:22] And we all have them in front of us, but just for the crowd.
[35:25] Well, with buildings being built in front,
[35:27] what our original sign package was going to be is on the side and the side is now has
[35:35] Vidora and another building in front of us in a way that you just can't see it until
[35:39] you've already passed. So we're trying to put something iconic on there that when people
[35:44] go over the hill they see, you know, homegrown institution, give us a little bit more visibility.
[35:50] Yeah, and I know in the earlier we talked about reaching from the exit, you know, see from
[35:54] the exit, but you know, they're going to exit now on the other side, Gal Rock, so that's
[35:57] kind of...
[35:58] Yeah, it's a far stretch.
[36:00] Yeah, I'm hoping they're going to see it from that far.
[36:02] I'm going to be up there on the rooftop if y'all need it Friday, I'm doing this, toned
[36:06] exit.
[36:06] Great.
[36:07] Awesome.
[36:08] Okay.
[36:08] There's going to be a lot of questions from Mr. Pope.
[36:12] I don't have any questions to ask.
[36:14] I appreciate you being here.
[36:15] Thanks for coming up, and we're just excited to see when you're going to get open.
[36:19] Can you give us an update on when you think you're going to open?
[36:21] We're praying for CO in October, opening in November, early.
[36:24] All right, that'd be good. Before the holidays. I can't wait to see that rooftop in action. Hey, I can't wait
[36:30] Do you sit stand up there and see the beautiful view from Rockwell? Yeah, it's gonna be amazing. So we thought I'll make a motion to approve
[36:38] Approved the co-request from Elias Pope and H.C. Supply
[36:42] Approval of a variance to the city's sign ordinance for the projection sign. Okay, at 2651 cents. It would you if I can get a second?
[36:51] That's gonna be
[36:55] Mr. Hagman, thank you for being here, we appreciate it, the next time I bring you the guitar
[37:05] for us,
[37:08] and Mr. Hepat says the food, we're going to move on to the City of Manders report,
[37:14] Mary.
[37:14] Amy first.
[37:15] Amy first, sorry, then Mary?
[37:17] Okay, North Lake Shore, we open the bids, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm with Ryan.
[37:24] And August 27th, we will open the bid, so hopefully within two to three weeks after that,
[37:30] we'll have it in front of you guys to actually award that bid.
[37:35] Right now it's been open 24 hours and we have over 19 bidders, so that's a good deal.
[37:40] We should have some play there.
[37:43] Boydston is going 90 to nothing, they're putting in storm and paving as they go.
[37:48] course trace is they're putting in storm right now they have that little piece
[37:52] of course trace closed there's going to be closed for a week we think or the
[37:57] contractor says he'd probably hopefully last week but they've got traffic
[38:03] married they're really good contractor for all the hassle that comes with
[38:08] street construction that's for sure and they did bid or they are on the list of
[38:13] for North Lakeshore. So they're one of the 19.
[38:19] We weren't going to have any concrete repairs and instead we had four.
[38:23] We had four places that popped anywhere from four to six inches.
[38:26] I don't know if y'all saw on Facebook, the one in Greenville, the guy that got launched.
[38:30] That's similar to what we had, but thank goodness we didn't have anybody launch.
[38:34] So we have, like I said, we had Featherstone.
[38:38] We had Featherstone in Haynesworth in four areas.
[38:42] We had Tannerson and Payneed Pony and then more not in front of the service center they popped and we've got to think
[38:50] total we have 12
[38:52] Including these so we've got some more that are coming online that we've got to fix this that's going to be this month
[38:59] 552 is the same we're waiting on money and they're still moving utilities same thing with 276 east by 49 is moving they are
[39:10] working on sub-grade temporary or temporary paving with drainage. 205
[39:17] middle is still in flux. I guess that's how you'd call it. 205 south I believe
[39:24] starting to move a little bit. Mary is that correct? Yeah that's my
[39:28] understanding it's been moved. I've found the schedule about 18 months Commissioner
[39:31] I'm going to let you post it that online.
[39:35] 1141 is the same they have negotiated the contract with
[39:39] Pape Dawson, 1397 on Horizon Road, ITS,
[39:44] negotiated the contract with L-T-R-A.
[39:47] Our piece of Horizon, they are developing the schematic
[39:51] which they already have and we have monthly update meetings
[39:53] so they're starting on working on that.
[39:56] Village Drive Bridge was on the agenda today
[39:59] So we've got the engineers fix them start on it and I want to say on that when I'm going to bring that up
[40:03] That this is the project that a few weeks ago
[40:06] We approved the interlocal agreement with the county for two million dollars toward construction and
[40:12] This is the project that both John Paulster with the transportation consultant and Michael Morris with COG found the money for the construction
[40:22] So as soon as we get it designed and the railroad approval will be ready to go on it. All the money will be in the bank here
[40:31] The last one is 549 from 740 to 205 WSB has got the scope and estimated they got to go in front of the county approval for their contract.
[40:43] Any questions?
[40:45] No, thank you. We've seen a lot of updates recently. I also saw that H. Walls Lane is going to be closed.
[40:52] Yes, sir.
[40:52] And I know the last time we had a we were closing that though, you know, because last time a contractor was like
[40:59] Waving people through and they through the neighborhood and stuff like that, but I'm assuming since we close it will be
[41:07] Really making sure that this is up all the assigned and stuff to everybody was notified
[41:11] personally Friday that was this affected on that road they were emailed to all the HOA's that are affected
[41:17] Yeah, and I believe you were on that email
[41:20] And they went door to door, too.
[41:21] And all of the signs were up either Thursday or Friday.
[41:25] Yeah, great.
[41:26] And just being clear of that, I know that we're closing it
[41:29] and it'll be, because there was a contractor
[41:30] who closed part of it.
[41:32] And we had no idea that they were sending people through
[41:35] your name that they were as surprised as you.
[41:37] So I just wanted to say thank you for doing it
[41:39] the right way, sending out notices, and so on.
[41:42] I believe that was on core that did that.
[41:44] It was a franchise, yes.
[41:46] Yeah, it's been a while.
[41:47] Yeah, my phone started ringing immediately when they were just shuffling people through a neighborhood through a gator's neighborhood
[41:53] So okay, great
[41:55] Anybody have anything else for Mary?
[41:57] Mary, do you have anything else for us? No, sir. You all got to report so I think there's any questions out of time
[42:03] Don't see any with that. I will call the meeting adjourned at 6.42 p.m
