[0:35] We're recognizing Lennox Morero for

[0:37] exemplary citizenship and compassion.

[0:40] Whereas on December 20, a 25-year-old

[0:44] Lennox, who was 11 at the time, was

[0:46] traveling with his mother, Joy, to his

[0:48] basketball game here at 7 Hills

[0:49] Recreation Center. Whereas while driving

[0:52] along Broadview Road, Lennox noticed a

[0:54] man lying in the snow in distress and

[0:57] without hesitation, Lennox asked his

[0:59] mother to please turn the car around to

[1:00] check on the individual. Lennox

[1:03] demonstrated awareness, empathy, and

[1:05] courage well beyond his ear ears.

[1:08] Whereas the assistance of a referee who

[1:10] was also on his way to the game, Lennox

[1:12] and his mother helped the gentleman to

[1:14] his feet and safely walked him to

[1:16] Conrads, ensuring he was out of the

[1:18] freezing conditions and no longer in

[1:19] immediate danger.

[1:21] Whereas through his quick thinking,

[1:23] compassion, and decisive action, Lenn

[1:25] helped protect the well-being of a

[1:26] fellow neighbor in a moment of need. And

[1:29] whereas Lennox's actions reflected the

[1:32] very best of our community values and

[1:34] serve as an inspiring example what it

[1:36] means to be a responsible, caring, and

[1:39] engaged citizen.

[1:41] Now therefore, I, Anthony Basiata,

[1:44] together with all the city officials, do

[1:47] hereby recognize and commend Lennox

[1:49] Morero for his outstanding act of

[1:51] kindness and bravery, and for embodying

[1:54] the spirit of service, compassion, and

[1:56] civic responsibility that makes our city

[1:59] proud. Congratulations, LENNOX.
