acknowledgement. We acknowledge that
[0:36]
this land on which we are gathered today
is part of the ancestrial land of the
[0:41]
Chipoa, Odawa and Padawatami peoples
referred to collectively as the
[0:46]
Inishnab. It is through the connection
of the inishnab with the spirit of the
[0:50]
land, water and air that we recognize
their unique cultures, traditions and
[0:55]
values. Together as treaty people, we
have shared responsibility to act with
[1:01]
respect for the environment that
sustains all life protecting the future
[1:05]
for those generations to come.
[1:10]
Uh, so declaration of peculiar interest.
If anyone has anything, they can say it
[1:14]
now or when it comes
[1:17]
up. Be it resolved that the minutes of
the regular council meeting held on May
[1:22]
20th, 2025 be received and approved. We
have a mover for
[1:27]
this. Council Langus
seconder. Councelor
[1:33]
Foster. Anybody have anything on this?
Seeing none, all those in favor
[1:40]
carried. Be it resolved that the minutes
of the Heritage St. Clair committee held
[1:45]
on April 30th, 25 be accepted and
approved. Move here for this councelor
[1:51]
Brown.
Secer, Councelor Myers. Anybody have any
[1:57]
questions? Seeing none, all those in
favor? Carried.
[2:04]
Be it resolved that council accept the
following items of correspondence as per
[2:08]
council's direction. A 51 request for
assistance with basement flooding due to
[2:15]
the city storm drain backup. Brigden
Legion Street closure request and Moore
[2:22]
Agricultural Society Brigden Fair Banner
request. We have a mover for the report.
[2:28]
Councelor Lang
second. Councelor
[2:34]
Foster. All those in favor to receive
carried. Okay. Would anybody like to
[2:40]
make a motion for the basement flooding?
Deputy mayor. Yeah, I'll make a motion
[2:45]
to receive a file. We don't have any
funds for that. We don't offer grants.
[2:50]
We don't have the money to do that. The
only thing that I'm aware of is that we
[2:54]
offer 1,500. I think 1,500 for a
backflow eliminator if it qualifies. We
[2:59]
still do that. Yeah. But I think that's
all we have for sanity.
[3:04]
Okay. Thank you, Deputy Mayor.
Secer Foster comment. Yep.
[3:12]
Through the mayor. I just want to say to
the gentleman, um I also lived behind
[3:16]
Albert Boulevard and the house was built
on a swamp back then. I repeatedly
[3:20]
flooded and um was told the um sump pump
pits are too small. So, it may benefit
[3:28]
um I did have basement boss come in. I
did have to um have a bigger sump pump
[3:32]
put in and I've never flooded nor have
the new residents flooded since then.
[3:37]
So, that could be a help. Thank you,
Councelor Brown.
[3:42]
I I think um he had the full gamut of uh
replacement. Sounded like I don't know
[3:48]
if his sump pump was working or not, but
um sounds like he's lived there for six
[3:53]
years and didn't have a problem. So, I
don't know what storms he's referring to
[4:00]
exactly. So, did uh resident ever call
back cuz I relayed that to him too that
[4:07]
there was a we have a backflow
program. I was back and forth with I
[4:13]
forget which one he used a while ago.
No, you've never had no correspondence
[4:18]
with anybody uh through the mayor. Now,
I I don't don't know specifically if
[4:23]
this is the same individual, but the the
backflow pretor is specifically for the
[4:28]
sanitary. Um I think this particular
situation is more of a storm issue, but
[4:34]
um yeah, historically that area is one
of the older areas um in in in the city
[4:41]
or in the village and I think that um
yeah, it isn't quite designed to the
[4:46]
standard of some of the others. But
regardless, there is a storm outlet
[4:49]
there. Um, you know, I don't know all
the details of the situation, but yeah,
[4:55]
I think uh, you know, a contractor could
help them through that, but there's
[5:00]
obviously an insurance avenue they can
go if they have insurance, too. So,
[5:04]
yeah, that's that's the sifting stuff
back there. So, that'd be God, 60 years
[5:09]
old, probably. I would think in that
range anyways. Okay. Anybody else?
[5:12]
Mayor. Oh, sorry.
Uh, the gentleman doesn't have a sump
[5:17]
pump. There is no place for one and he's
sitting right here if you want to ask me
[5:21]
questions
[5:26]
through the mayor. Welcome. Um and
without the sump pump as well. I was
[5:30]
speaking um with Mr. Neely and we were
just discussing it's part of you know
[5:35]
unfortunately homeowners maintenance the
age of the home and things will break
[5:39]
down. So you know I wish if we wanted to
help you we would open up a can of
[5:44]
worms. We'd be helping everybody. It's
just something you're going to have to
[5:47]
um basement boss. Well, I can't endorse
any of any of them, but I know I did
[5:52]
have good luck with um
Okay. Um through the mayor, you can come
[5:58]
up. Yeah. You want to just give your
name and your address. My name is Steve
[6:02]
and click click the at the bottom
there's there's a plastic. Just click
[6:06]
that till the There you go. Thank you.
Hi, my name is Steve Mai. We're live at
[6:10]
504 Albert Boulevard. Um, I've looked
into I did call public works and ask
[6:14]
about the backup valve as we discussed.
Um, I completely understand that this is
[6:18]
a homeowner issue. Um, however, several
other cities um, municipalities have a
[6:25]
grant for waterproofing and subp pumps
and it's new sub pumps only, not
[6:31]
replacements or not, um, adding a
backup. So, I fit the criteria for other
[6:36]
communities. So, I've looked into that
and I'm again just I understand that
[6:42]
budget's budget and that's why I'm here
to ask and I've like I said I've done
[6:47]
all the homework as much as I can. Um
and unfortunately like nobody has the
[6:52]
kind of money just laying around so it
does you know take a heat. Um and I do
[6:58]
understand that that this is a issue
that Corona does have. Um, and yes, I
[7:04]
understand that, you know, everyone
might be knocking on the door, but
[7:08]
again, there's uh there's room for a
discussion about a grant and meeting
[7:13]
certain protocols. Um, and that's what I
just wanted to convey today. Okay. Thank
[7:18]
you. So, thank you. Thanks for coming.
We got a lot of music up here.
[7:26]
Did I call that? Okay. All in favor of
the motion carried.
[7:39]
Be it resolved that the request for a
temporary road closure of Brighgam Road
[7:43]
between Boswell and Jane Street as well
as Jane Street from Brighgam Road to
[7:48]
Duncan Street and Boswell from Duncan to
Brighgam Road from 12:30 till 2 on
[7:53]
September 21st 25 to help facilitate the
Legion drumhead ceremony be approved. Do
[7:59]
we have a mover for this? Councelor
Brown. Second. Councelor
[8:04]
Myers. All those in favor?
[8:09]
Carried. Be it resolved that the Brigden
Fair Committee be permitted to place a
[8:14]
temporary banner across the street at
the main intersection in Brigden to
[8:18]
promote the 175th anniversary of the
Brigden Fair from August to October.
[8:23]
Deputy Mayor, I'd like to ask staff's
opinion on that before I make a motion
[8:28]
to do it. Good. Anybody wants to speak
to this one? Okay. All right.
[8:34]
Uh, yeah, I do have some concerns. Um,
the letter does state that this banner
[8:39]
had been put up in the past. Um, I don't
know what year that happened and I don't
[8:43]
know where exactly it was located. Um
but um my main concern is it I'm I'm
[8:50]
have to assume that they're going they
want to put it up from hydropole to
[8:54]
hydropole because there is no other
polls in Brigden. No street light poles
[8:58]
owned by the township. So in that case
we don't own the poles and we don't have
[9:02]
the permission or authority to say yes
or no attach something to these poles.
[9:08]
Also,
uh I just a reminder that in Corona,
[9:13]
this came up a number of years ago,
maybe 20 years ago, maybe uh putting
[9:18]
banners up, there's specific banner
poles on Lindoc Street around Service
[9:24]
Ontario kind of area that were
specifically designed to take the wind
[9:30]
loads of banners. Um so, and Brigden
doesn't have such a thing. So, I just
[9:35]
wanted to make those two comments.
Okay. That's across the county road
[9:42]
also, is it not? Well, they're not
saying where I in the letter. Yeah. If
[9:48]
it's across Courtray line, that is
county, but if it's across Brigden Road,
[9:52]
then that's us. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. So,
what would you like to do with this now?
[10:00]
I would like to do uh through the mayor.
I would like to do as um councelor said
[10:04]
Miller said refer to staff let them work
with more egg culture to come up with a
[10:08]
solution.
[10:13]
You okay with that David? Mhm. Okay.
Okay. Councelor
[10:21]
Foster. All those in
favor
[10:25]
car that s
[10:31]
uh be it resolved that the following
information items be received as
[10:35]
information. Building permit comparison
25-
[10:39]
24, Hemsen Consulting Development
Charges Changes arising from bill 17,
[10:46]
Municipal Finance Officers Association
25, Provincial Economics and Fiscal
[10:53]
Update and Ministry of Natural Resources
Notification Letter, Reintroduction,
[10:58]
Carbon
Storage. So we receive the whole thing
[11:02]
first and then go through for Okay.
Anybody want to Thank you. Councelor
[11:08]
Langus
second. Councelor Foster. All those in
[11:14]
favor. Now would anybody like to make a
motion on any of these items? So we have
[11:21]
building permit
comparison. Seeing nothing. Hems in
[11:29]
Consulting. Nothing. What is that
exactly, Jeff? I'm not sure exactly. I
[11:34]
read through it, but I Yeah, they're
just providing information on the
[11:37]
changes through building 17, which we're
uh sending letter of objection for.
[11:42]
Okay. Uh Municipal Finance Officers
Association 25 Provincial Economics and
[11:48]
Fiscal
Update. None. Ministry of Natural
[11:52]
Resources Notification Letter.
reintroduction of carbon storage. I I
[11:58]
thought this was all along too. It's so
they didn't have that for a while. Now
[12:02]
they're just bringing it back
for my kind of what I read. Yeah,
[12:06]
they're introducing us right now. So,
yeah, that's a different way. Yeah.
[12:09]
Okay. So, all those in favor, did we
call this car?
[12:16]
Be it resolved that the vendor invoices
and RBC visa charges report as submitted
[12:21]
by Treasurer George Lozison be received
and the included invoices be approved
[12:26]
for the period of April 27th 25 to May
14th 25 totaling 3475
[12:34]
39225 and RBC visa charges for the
period April 16th to 2025 to May 15th
[12:42]
totaling 4894905.
We have a mover for this. Deputy mayor
[12:49]
second councelor Langus. Any questions?
Councelor Myers, I'm really trying to
[12:57]
find I'm just trying to find it, but it
went I believe it was in the water usage
[13:02]
[Music]
for Courtright splash pad I believe was
[13:07]
like
[13:10]
$5,000. And I just wondered why that was
so high.
[13:14]
usage court rate splash pad 5617
[13:19]
um seems high and I'm sure there's a
reason whether it's back bill or you
[13:25]
have anything on that George
[13:29]
through the mayor we can have a look at
that and find out what it what it was
[13:32]
for appreciate it okay thank you
councelor Brown
[13:37]
yeah this um evolution multimedia for
the sound system at the golf course
[13:42]
62,423
3. Does is that part of the uh
[13:47]
renovation cost that
62423 or what does that include,
[13:52]
Kendall? I'm sure it is. Yeah, through
the chair. It's Yep. the sound system,
[13:57]
the TVs, the it was part of the project.
Is that for out on the deck or just all
[14:04]
over through the through the whole
facility? Okay. Thank you. Anything
[14:09]
else? All right. Those all those in
favor
[14:14]
carried. Be it resolved that the monthly
fire department report as submitted by
[14:18]
director of emergency services fire
chief Richard Boyce be received. I have
[14:22]
a mover for this
[14:25]
one. Deputy
mayor
[14:29]
second
council. Any
[14:35]
questions? Go ahead councelor Brown.
Well, I think I believe this is the
[14:39]
first report. He's identified the
different chiefs, which I I appreciate
[14:43]
that. That's uh helps me out a lot. And
the different fire stations. So, thank
[14:48]
you. Thank you. Anybody else? All those
in favor?
[14:53]
Gary, be it resolved that the court
wastewater treatment plant expansion
[14:58]
project procurement report as submitted
by director of public works Brian Black
[15:04]
be received and that the equipment and
services procurement related to the
[15:08]
court wastewater treatment plant
expansion project fall under section 86D
[15:15]
exemptions to methods of
acquisition special circumstances
[15:20]
purchases due to the extreme extremely
aggressive schedule related to the HWSF
[15:26]
grant funding be approved to move out.
Councelor
[15:30]
Foster
second
[15:34]
council. Anybody have any
questions? All those in favor?
[15:42]
Carried. Be it resolved that the rural
microervicing treatment tender results
[15:49]
report as submitted by coordinator of
engineering Andrew Malpass be received
[15:54]
and the tender submitted by Duncore
Enterprises in the amount of
[15:59]
44517760 plus HST be accepted and the
mayor and clerk be authorized to sign
[16:04]
the contract and other related
documents. Move her for this one.
[16:09]
Councelor Brown
second.
[16:14]
Council
Lancis, any questions? Council Brown,
[16:20]
but looks like we received a good price
and I'm just curious if have we used
[16:23]
Duncore Enterprises in the past.
[16:29]
Yeah, through the mayor. I don't believe
we have. I think Andrew talks about the
[16:32]
fact Don Euphemia has. So, we we know
they had good experience there. Um, and
[16:37]
other mun municipalities have used these
guys. So I think they have been well
[16:42]
used for this particular work.
Okay. Anybody else? All those in favor?
[16:48]
Carried. See there'll be a lot of happy
faces on Cameron today. I see they got
[16:52]
the finished coat put on
there. Good job.
[16:59]
Be it resolved that the waste collection
dumpsters report as submitted by
[17:03]
coordinator of operations David Neely be
received and that Marott disposal be
[17:08]
awarded the contract to provide and
collect dumpsters for the period between
[17:13]
July 1st 25 to June 30th 29 and the
mayor and clerk be authorized to sign
[17:18]
the associated agreement and bylaw. Have
a mover for this one. Councelor Langs
[17:25]
second. Councelor
Foster. All
[17:29]
those in favor? Carried.
Uh, be it resolved that the street
[17:36]
sweeper replacement report as submitted
by coordinative operations David Neely
[17:41]
be received and that the Joe Johnson
equipment quote utilizing the Kado Group
[17:47]
procurement system for the purchase of a
new 2025 Algen Pelican dual broom
[17:55]
three-wheel sweeper at a total cost of
385986 including net HST using single
[18:03]
source procurement under section 86 C of
the procurement bylaw policy 59 bylaw 59
[18:12]
excuse me of 2024 be approved mover for
that one got some tongue twisters
[18:18]
tonight deputy mayor second
her councelor Foster any
[18:25]
questions councelor Brown thank you
mayor Agar so we have enough money in
[18:31]
this and the sounds like a good deal for
us and but we have to buy a a truck and
[18:37]
trailer to move this around. Is it does
this unit have the same capabilities of
[18:43]
what the full size one has?
[18:47]
Uh yes, it does have the same
capabilities. Um it uh we don't have to
[18:52]
buy a truck. We already own the trucks
like the tandem trucks. We simply just
[18:56]
need to buy a um uh it's dovetailed
trailer that we could drive it up on uh
[19:03]
and just drive it around as a unit
rather than wasting time. Uh it like my
[19:08]
report says it does have a drawback of
going 40 km an hour maximum. So um
[19:15]
that's the reason for that. Uh so it'd
be approximately $30,000 more to buy
[19:20]
this trailer. um which will still be
well within the capital budget for that
[19:25]
item. Thank you.
So are you keeping the other one too?
[19:32]
No, we would be uh selling that off as
surplus. So just using that? Yeah. Okay.
[19:37]
Thanks. Anybody else? All those in
favor? Carried.
[19:43]
Uh, be it resolved that the June 2nd
community services information report as
[19:47]
submitted by director of community
services Kendall Lindseay be received.
[19:51]
Have a move for
[19:54]
this. Councelor Foster. Thank you.
Second. Okay.
[20:02]
Councelor
Langus. Now I have gotos
[20:06]
everywhere. Question. Council Foster
through the mayor to Kendall. So have a
[20:11]
question about the tennis courts. Um the
contractor uh you've been unable to
[20:17]
multiple tents unable to get any him to
finish the courts or what's the status
[20:23]
there?
Yeah, through the chair. Um yeah, we've
[20:27]
had some issues getting him back on the
job this spring. Um so we've been trying
[20:31]
to get him motivated to get back there.
Um we've seen a lot of work over the
[20:36]
last couple like couple days last week
at the end of the week and then this
[20:39]
weekend. But we're trying every avenue
to make sure he moves moves forward and
[20:44]
gets the job done. Okay. Thank you. They
get the painting done though, right? So
[20:48]
they're working on the actual court now.
Yeah. I think what was outstanding, I
[20:52]
know Sue is not here, but there was a
lot of fence issues that needed to be
[20:55]
done and uh those have been she went up
this morning. She told me she was quite
[20:58]
happy with the fence work. Um some of
the concrete work she wasn't happy with,
[21:03]
so it needed to be addressed. Um, so she
was going to get after about that, but
[21:06]
all the grading had been done and that's
what needed to be, you know, they needed
[21:09]
to finish the grading before we could
get in and finish the the surfacing on
[21:14]
the court. Uh, she does have a meeting,
I believe, tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. We we
[21:18]
are with a um a fellow that's helping us
out this Clive. He has a um kind of an
[21:23]
expert on courts and put a lot in the
area. So, she's meeting with him
[21:26]
tomorrow. She'll have a better idea
where we're at and by then I'm hoping
[21:30]
that we can kind of come up with a
timeline. Perfect. There'll be a lot of
[21:33]
pickle ballers happy when it's done.
Thank you.
[21:37]
Uh, anybody else? Yeah. Council Brown, I
just uh wanted to ask uh Kendall the um
[21:44]
Guthrie Park washroom renovation. Any uh
contractor in place to start that or
[21:53]
uh through the chair. I was um I was
hoping that that might be a task for our
[21:57]
new coordinator of facilities once they
came on board. some of some of that work
[22:02]
would start to get tackled the backlog.
[22:08]
Good. When's uh Seager I think it's
Seager get back into motion here.
[22:12]
Kendall
done. Yeah, it's through the chair. So
[22:17]
the last I want to say about 10 days ago
probably the finished they finished
[22:22]
putting the sod down. Uh Williams put
the sod down so it was local. Um a lot
[22:26]
of it took real nice but some of it
didn't on the slopes. So, we had some
[22:29]
deficiencies there. They went in and
replaced it all on I believe Friday, the
[22:35]
sod. Um, and then so now we're getting
very close. Um, we've asked them for 6
[22:41]
weeks to clean up the fence and stuff
and they they haven't got to it. Um, but
[22:45]
I'm hoping the fence can come
down. I'm hoping by the end of next week
[22:50]
the fence could come down and could get
cleaned up and the park can get open.
[22:53]
Good. Yeah, it looks it looks really
good. Yeah, I'm really happy with the
[22:57]
the work. The it's it's really nice. The
features is a step down. The one bay has
[23:02]
a step down with the railing. Yeah. And
I really like the way they finished it
[23:05]
with the posts look good. Um I think we
need to replace a lot of our posts over
[23:11]
the years have been weed whacked and
trimmed to death and be nice to carry
[23:15]
that through the whole all the river
parks. Perfect. Thank you. Anybody else?
[23:20]
All those in favor? Carried.
Uh, be it resolved that Kundai
[23:25]
campground report as submitted by
coordinator of facilities and
[23:29]
parksite be received and that funding
the cost associated with the necessary
[23:34]
ditch
excavation, catch basin repairs and the
[23:38]
purchase and installation of a grinder
pump from the campground reserve be
[23:42]
approved. Do we have a
[23:49]
moder? Anybody have any questions on
this? Seeing none, all those in favor?
[24:00]
Carried. I will wait for the bylaw. So,
notice of motion. Councelor Holly
[24:05]
Foster, you want to explain your motion?
Sure. My motion um for the finance
[24:11]
department to give us quarterly reviews
as well as um the last five years and
[24:16]
three years forward of our reserves. The
reason being being new to council, I've
[24:22]
many times I was um confused where the
money is coming from, how the money is
[24:27]
being handled. And I think if we um
provided a quarterly update on our
[24:31]
finances, that's going to be helpful for
me and hopefully with council making
[24:35]
decisions moving forward and as well the
reserves because I know there's been
[24:38]
some like especially for myself some um
questioning um how the difference of the
[24:45]
reserves have been handled. then I'll be
able to understand it as well as council
[24:49]
um too. So that's the reason for this
motion. It's more clarific more
[24:52]
clarification and helping with future um
uh decisions. Okay. So you moved it. Do
[25:00]
I have a second for that motion?
Councelor Langus. Any questions? Deputy
[25:04]
mayor. Yeah. I'd like to know, George,
how much more work is this going to be
[25:10]
through the mayor? It will be quite a
quite a bit a few days extra work
[25:15]
depending on what you're asking for. If
you're talking about a variance report
[25:19]
like a variance from budget, I could add
it to the financial statements uh in say
[25:26]
June and September at year end. We
already do that. So we do have one
[25:29]
coming up for the 2024 year end. But uh
it will add a couple days extra work.
[25:38]
Is that the third body too? Like I see
you have Charlie in here quite a bit
[25:43]
too. Is that that would add to that?
Yes. Yes. We'd we'd probably Yeah. get
[25:49]
Charlie to help probably we'll we'll
figure it out somehow to get it done if
[25:53]
council wants us. Yeah.
The mayor. I understand it may take
[25:58]
more, but I think it's extremely
helpful. A lot of municipalities do this
[26:02]
as well, and it prepares council um to
know where where they're sitting
[26:06]
financially. So, that was the reason.
Okay. Anybody else?
[26:11]
Council Brown. Well, I'm just I
understand where councelor Foster's
[26:17]
request is, but is it necessary to go
back for 5 years? And I would think that
[26:24]
would
be
[26:28]
extremely a lot of soulsearching. We we
we do get our financial statements.
[26:35]
I I believe that we see
them quarterly now on the different uh
[26:42]
accounts when we get the
accounts but I think five years is is a
[26:47]
little too extreme. Counselor through
the mayor. I would like to ask this to
[26:52]
be tabled to the next meeting then when
we have councelor Lang staff so that we
[26:55]
can have everybody's input.
Okay. Anybody like to second that?
[27:07]
Lang is the table that's the next
meeting. All those in favor one,
[27:13]
two, three, four. Okay,
carried. Uh,
[27:21]
bylaws. Be it resolved that the bylaw 18
of 25 encroachment agreement brine
[27:29]
pipeline receive all three readings and
thereby passed and that the mayor and
[27:33]
clerk be authorized to execute the
bylaws and any agreements there too.
[27:40]
Mover. Councelor Brown.
Seconder. Deputy mayor. Any questions?
[27:47]
Councelor
Brown. I I guess this is an existing
[27:52]
brine pipeline from reading through
this. An existing 12-in brine pipeline
[27:56]
that we're that Enbridge is taking over
from the previous owner, General
[28:01]
Chemical. And to my knowledge, we didn't
have an agreement previously. Okay.
[28:07]
Well, good work.
[28:12]
Anybody else? All those in favor?
Carried.
[28:18]
Uh, let's go. Counselor's
reports. Councelor
[28:25]
Brown. Well, thank you, uh, Mayor Edgar.
Uh, the last two weeks have been,
[28:29]
uh, doing a lot of yard work myself. So,
I only had one meeting, which was the,
[28:35]
uh, St. Clair River Trail meeting
uh held on the 28th of May. So that's
[28:42]
it. Thank you, Councelor Foster. Yeah,
since the last um I missed the last
[28:48]
meeting um council meeting, but I prior
to that I attended the golf course um
[28:54]
meeting. And then just an update, I had
a constituent ask about flags in Krena.
[28:58]
So, I learned um uh through staff that
each town is allowed two banners or two
[29:04]
lit or sorry, two um yeah, two banners.
Uh Krena already has two banners. Um
[29:10]
technically or they use the lift truck
twice, Christmas lights and then for the
[29:15]
veterans banners. So, um if there's
anybody wondering why we can't have can
[29:20]
of flags, that was a request. um the
cost they would maybe um we already have
[29:26]
two times that council already passed uh
I don't think it was a bylaw but maybe a
[29:32]
intention that only two times staff
would be lifting and putting up
[29:37]
different uh things in each town. So
that's it. Thank you deputy mayor.
[29:43]
Uh I attended a committee uh meeting of
county uh committee of adjustment
[29:49]
meeting. I stopped in at the uh book
sale in Corona on Friday. How'd you make
[29:55]
out, Tracy? Pretty good. Couldn't count
people.
[30:00]
Look pretty busy when I was there
anyway.
[30:03]
Good. And I also uh was at the river
trail run yesterday. That's it. Thank
[30:09]
you. What kind of book did you buy? I
didn't. Just left a donation. I don't
[30:13]
need any more books. Thought I'd
catch Langus.
[30:19]
On the 21st, I was at the St. Clair
Heritage meeting and this month. I have
[30:25]
a question about the abandoned equipment
on more line that cable runner or
[30:30]
whatever the heck that thing is that's
growing grass around it. They've been
[30:33]
cutting their property and still sitting
there. Didn't turn my mic on.
[30:40]
Yeah, I'm familiar with that. Um, it's a
directional drilling machine. Uh, it's
[30:45]
owned by Flex Forward, the company
that's putting Kojico's fiber in. I'm
[30:50]
not sure why they've left it there that
long, but I I can follow up with my
[30:54]
contact for them and ask him to move it.
Good.
[31:00]
Councelor Myers,
uh, I think the only thing I had was a
[31:05]
heritage meeting on the 21st of May. Um,
and since nobody else has mentioned it,
[31:12]
happy anniversary to the mayor and and
the first lady. Thank you. Thank you
[31:17]
very much. Yeah, 40 years.
Yeah, I know. It's It's I don't know how
[31:23]
she's lasted that long with me, but she
is. I know why I've stayed, but I don't
[31:28]
know why she stayed. Thanks, Bill. Very
nice. Um, so I had a county meeting, a
[31:34]
senior advisory committee. We do need a
rep for this from St. Clair. So, I think
[31:39]
Terry was gonna get it to put it on our
website, but if anybody knows anything
[31:44]
out in YouTubeville there about a senior
that would like to, not even a senior,
[31:49]
just somebody that would like to go on
that committee, uh, it'd be nice to have
[31:52]
one on there. I'm the county rep on it,
so I'm not really the Slair rep, but I'm
[31:58]
taking care of it right now. So,
anyways, that would be a good thing if
[32:01]
we could come up with a rep. uh I went
to law's meeting and with that down on
[32:07]
40 and uh white line with the with the
water main breakd down there I did make
[32:12]
a motion to uh receive compensation for
the lost water on that. So they're going
[32:18]
to wait till it's fixed up. I think the
the fix on that was what, Brian? 150 or
[32:24]
something something in that. I can't
think of it right now. But so anyways,
[32:28]
that's still in the works. If you get
any calls from people down that way, uh
[32:34]
attended the river run yesterday. Didn't
run. Me and the deputy mayor ran from
[32:39]
the parking lot. I
guess I went I was on a Zoom re the
[32:44]
research park board meeting today and
that's it.
[32:49]
Oh, okay. Did you have something your
worship? Just to advise council that
[32:54]
fall plans go as planned, uh, June 10th
to 12th, we'll be taking the sirens down
[32:57]
in Corona, the three old sirens. Oh, the
basis system just so council gets
[33:02]
inquiry. That's what we're doing. Okay,
perfect. Thank you. Upcoming meetings,
[33:10]
regular meeting session 11, June 16th at
6. Regular meeting session 12 July 14th
[33:17]
at 3 and regular meeting session 13
August 11th 25 at 3 p.m. So now we're
[33:26]
going to have an in little in camera. So
be it resolved that the meeting enter
[33:29]
into an in camera meeting to discuss
section 239 28 information provided by
[33:35]
the province. We have a mover of
this councelor Foster and councelor
[33:41]
Brown. All those in favor carried.
