[3:17] We have a quorum.
[3:19] Approval of the agenda.
[3:21] >> Make motion to approve the agenda.
[3:23] >> I second.
[3:24] >> Got a motion and a second. All in favor?

[3:29] Motion carries.

[3:33] 24th, 2026.
[3:42] [laughter]
[3:43] [clears throat]
[3:48] Heat. Heat.
[4:20] I make a motion to approve the minutes
[4:23] from August 24th
[4:28] as present.
[4:30] >> I have a motion.
[4:32] >> I second.
[4:32] >> I have a second. All in favor?
[4:37] >> Opposed?
[4:38] Motion carries.
[4:40] >> Public works report.
[4:44] » Hello. Hi, Ninja.
[4:47] >> All right. Uh, [clears throat] clean the
[4:49] park pump, the pump in the pond, changed
[4:51] the spray head on it. I don't know if
[4:52] anybody's noticed it. Kind of spreads
[4:54] out a little further. I kind of like
[4:55] that. Uh, put together [clears throat]
[4:58] two new ADA picnic tables at Big
[5:00] Pavilion. Powerwashed the big pavilion
[5:03] along with the concrete floors and
[5:04] tables. painted the picnic tables at the
[5:07] big pavilion. Started edging the trail,
[5:10] trimmed low hanging branch or limbs
[5:12] throughout the park, mostly ones that
[5:14] were hanging over the walking trail. Um,
[5:18] [clears throat] we got our mower back
[5:19] from Flees. Everything seems to be
[5:21] working
[5:22] good, so hopefully I don't have to go
[5:25] back out there. Weekly painting of the
[5:28] soccer fields. Worked on removing more
[5:30] asphalt from the tennis courts. sprayed
[5:33] the weeds around playground equipment at
[5:34] Parquette.
[5:36] Uh we had our 7th annual disc golf
[5:38] tournament was held on 9:20, had 48
[5:42] players and we raised $865 for Hope for
[5:44] autism. So that's pretty successful.
[5:47] Um the pieces for the playground
[5:50] equipment at Pinkley were ordered. We
[5:52] powerwashed all the shelters at Per
[5:54] Marquette. One of them is painted and
[5:56] the others are unscheduled to be
[5:57] painted.
[5:59] And uh the big pavilion entry is poured
[6:01] and trash cans will be installed later
[6:04] this week.
[6:06] And that's all I got.
[6:09] >> What are you guys doing on that menu
[6:10] split?
[6:11] >> What's that?
[6:11] >> That menu split he was talking about
[6:13] last month.
[6:14] >> Uh that'd be a Cory question. I don't
[6:16] know if he ordered it yet or not.
[6:17] >> Okay. I had no idea that
[6:18] >> he has not, but we talked about it
[6:20] today. So he's going to get it ordered
[6:21] and get it installed before winter gets
[6:23] here.
[6:24] >> Get those ordered or anything?
[6:26] >> Uh
[6:27] >> no. I don't know if I mentioned last
[6:28] time, one of the items on the capital
[6:30] budget is a sign printing machine. So, I
[6:32] didn't feel like ordering and paying for
[6:34] them when we can print them ourselves.
[6:35] >> No, I didn't know that.
[6:36] >> Yeah. Not It's for the city, but we'll
[6:38] print signs for the park. So,
[6:42] >> good to know.
[6:44] >> Any other questions?
[6:46] >> One question.
[6:48] [clears throat]
[6:49] >> Any idea who trimmed the bottom of the
[6:51] blue atlas cedar at Main Street Park?
[6:54] >> At Main Street Park? Yeah. What does
[6:56] that mean? Okay. I didn't know.
[6:58] >> Yeah, we did that.
[6:59] >> Okay.
[7:00] >> When did we do that, John?
[7:02] >> I don't.
[7:03] >> It's been a while.
[7:04] >> Okay. Just wanted to make sure it was
[7:07] us. And then
[7:07] >> Okay. No. Yeah, it was us. Oh, I do have
[7:10] a question for Dave. That black, we
[7:12] ordered a black top for a trash can.
[7:14] Where's that going?
[7:15] >> Sarah's garden.
[7:17] >> Okay. I was wrong and Cory was wrong.
[7:21] Hey Jeff, out on the walking trail of
[7:24] Valley Spring, that barricade, is that
[7:26] getting a lot of run off off that?
[7:27] >> It's getting run off. Uh, we still need
[7:29] to back fill there. I got a pipe. We
[7:32] just need to put like some kind of
[7:34] drain. Yep. So,
[7:36] >> it's on the list once the grass stops
[7:38] growing. So,
[7:41] >> that slowed down a whole bunch, hasn't
[7:42] it?
[7:43] >> It has slowed down. So, good deal. Just
[7:45] have to mow one more time. Yes. Grass
[7:48] has grass has we have it.
[7:50] >> Yeah.
[7:54] » Thank you.
[7:56] >> You're welcome.
[7:56] >> Public discussion. Pierre Marquette
[7:59] flash pan land and water conservation
[8:02] fund grant.
[8:03] >> As we posted a survey a couple weeks ago
[8:06] and and when I put that out on the
[8:08] website, I just let the public know that
[8:10] we would have a public discussion
[8:11] tonight. So, I did want to also give you
[8:14] a few updates. Um the RPC is helping
[8:18] write that grant. Um it is quite the
[8:20] extensive grant application uh with an
[8:24] complete environmental review. So it
[8:26] used to not have a complete
[8:27] environmental review. So I mean I can't
[8:30] go into the whole list of things but
[8:31] right there's cultural resource review.
[8:34] Uh there's review of the ground, a
[8:37] review of the dark sky, a review of uh
[8:41] the any water changing course, whether
[8:43] it's disturbed ground or not. Most of
[8:46] these things are not going to be um
[8:49] uh prevalent on this piece of ground.
[8:51] It's formerly disturbed ground. There
[8:53] was a pool there, but they're going to
[8:54] help us through that process. So that's
[8:56] number one. Two, uh we got a So if you
[9:00] remember, the grant is 50/50 matching.
[9:04] The city's put 100,000. Rotary's 25,000.
[9:07] Uh Bloomsdale Excavated Excavating uh
[9:10] will help us with the dirt work. I don't
[9:12] know what that value will be, but I've
[9:14] kind of tentatively put down $25,000.
[9:17] And then we got another donation
[9:19] commitment from the um Spring for Down
[9:23] Syndrome Group of another $25,000.
[9:26] >> So that's a $75,000 in [clears throat]
[9:29] uh committed donations, 100,000 from the
[9:32] city. uh looking for another um it'd be
[9:34] great to have another 25,000. Then we'd
[9:37] be at 200,000. We'd apply for a grant
[9:39] for 200,000. They'll match and that'll
[9:42] be a $400,000 total.
[9:44] >> So the be
[9:47] donation is considered a monetary that's
[9:49] goes into that match.
[9:50] >> It's an incind. Okay.
[9:53] >> Yes.
[9:54] >> So it can we find like if say there was
[9:56] another inind that could work too.
[9:59] >> Yes. I mean, I've uh talked to some
[10:02] local concrete contractors if they would
[10:04] want to donate time. Donating the
[10:07] concrete would be a little much, but um
[10:10] we'd take it. Um what else? Somebody
[10:14] wanted to run the water lines. Uh
[10:16] obviously purchasing the splash pad,
[10:19] whoever we whoever wins that bid will
[10:20] install those lines, but we have to run
[10:22] water line to where they're going to go
[10:25] off or to the uh uh pump. U so anybody
[10:30] who would want to donate those and of
[10:32] course we'd take cash, but things are
[10:35] really lining up. You know, I can't say
[10:37] that we'll win this grant, but things
[10:39] are really looking good so far.
[10:41] >> You know what happens if we don't get
[10:43] the grant? Then I think we need to come
[10:46] back and talk about do we need to scale
[10:48] back and just put a smaller splash pad
[10:50] in. Uh at $400,000
[10:53] right now. I mean again we're at the
[10:56] very tippy beginning of this process.
[10:59] This is a splash pad that probably won't even uh we won't even know if we
[11:04] won the grant till probably a year from
[11:06] now. Okay. Uh 6 months to a year. Uh,
[11:10] and so then we have to go out to bid and
[11:13] then we would build a splash pad. Um, so
[11:16] >> I think it would be very important to
[11:18] keep the public in the know. So we don't
[11:22] right now everybody's hyped. They think
[11:24] it's going to be next, you know, like is
[11:26] coming and they don't understand the
[11:28] politics behind it. So I think it's
[11:29] imperative that we
[11:30] >> Yeah. You don't want them to come next spring and say, "Where's our splash
[11:33] pan?" They get all discouraged. And
[11:35] >> there will not be a splash pad in the
[11:37] summer of 2027, right? So yeah, um but I
[11:41] think if we don't win the grant, then we
[11:42] come back and we say maybe instead of
[11:44] and again these numbers are all
[11:46] tentative. Instead of a 50x75 splash pad
[11:49] with some wonderful features, you know,
[11:52] maybe it's, you know, 35x 50 um with a
[11:57] few less sun shades and a few less
[11:58] features or we go back to our donators
[12:01] and ask if they want to double their
[12:03] donation. Um, so
[12:07] but right now things look good.
[12:12] Does anybody know anything?
[12:14] Let's see if they want.
[12:15] >> Do you have anything to say?
[12:18] >> Uh, sure. I'm not horrible. [laughter]
[12:22] >> Hi. I um I'm Audrey Kangari. I My
[12:25] husband was busy this evening, so I've
[12:27] got my kids here with me, too. that we
[12:29] live on KSGM. So, when I saw the survey
[12:32] on Facebook, I immediately shared it
[12:34] with everybody, including my family who
[12:37] all lives out of town, um even my sister
[12:39] who lives in Minneapolis, cuz I said,
[12:41] "This would be so wonderful for our
[12:44] community." And um I understand the
[12:48] timing of it. Um I I do know with my
[12:51] kids, so my twins are seven and my
[12:54] oldest just turned 10, but we're at the
[12:56] stage of life where we are traveling to
[12:59] communities to be able to use their
[13:01] swash pads. We've been to Perville,
[13:02] we've been to Fesus, we've been to
[13:04] Herculanium. And so speaking on behalf
[13:06] of families who are in the same stage as
[13:09] us, this would be a draw for people. And
[13:12] I was thinking even of um even today of
[13:15] families that come for baseball and
[13:17] softball tournaments where they are
[13:18] there at the fields all day long and
[13:21] they have younger siblings that are
[13:23] running around. That would be a
[13:25] wonderful break for them in the summer.
[13:27] You know, if they're there at the
[13:28] fields, they've got an hour or two
[13:30] between games. That would be a wonderful
[13:32] opportunity for them. So, I I just
[13:35] wanted to come because I know sometimes
[13:36] having a face to a project like this can
[13:39] be really helpful, too. So if there's
[13:41] anything I'm not like volunteering for
[13:43] all [laughter]
[13:46] I know Mr. Ba I um I'm a school
[13:48] counselor at St. Jen Elementary so I
[13:51] know him through that capacity. Um but I just like I said I know that sometimes
[13:55] having um having faces behind a project
[13:58] like this especially um you know just
[14:01] sharing with the public too getting
[14:02] people behind it you know if there come
[14:04] to be hiccups like that. So I I just I
[14:07] am really excited for this project. So,
[14:09] I think anything going in in Pier
[14:10] Marquette, we love the wider trail. I
[14:13] know that um there have been other plans
[14:15] at different times, but um I just wanted
[14:18] to share that people are taking
[14:19] advantage of those things and um it
[14:22] would be really wonderful to have
[14:23] something on that side of the community
[14:25] for families who live on that side. So,
[14:27] thank you.
[14:28] >> Well, thank you. And if you know anyone
[14:30] that has an extra 100 grand lay
[14:33] >> absolutely [laughter]
[14:34] I wish that I was in a position I could
[14:36] offer that to you, but yes, I will. I
[14:38] will start making some connections. It
[14:40] was nice to meet you and thanks for
[14:41] coming.
[14:42] >> Absolutely. Yeah. Nice to meet you, too.
[14:44] Thank you very [clears throat] much.
[14:45] >> Thank you. Thank you.
[14:48] >> And is there an excellent help?
[14:50] >> Yeah. [laughter]
[14:51] >> Sorry. As I mentioned, I've never been
[14:53] in before, so thanks for coming.
[14:56] >> Thank you for coming.
[14:57] >> Bye, kids.
[14:58] >> You guys say bye.
[14:59] >> Bye.
[15:05] own business resolution
[15:09] LWCF grant application.
[15:11] >> So, of course, to build up the grant
[15:13] application. Um, I'm asking multiple
[15:17] organizations to adopt a resolution
[15:19] supporting the grant application. The
[15:20] board of alderman have done that
[15:21] already. Uh, so I'm asking the park
[15:23] board to do the same.
[15:30] discussion. We have a draft, don't we?
[15:32] Yeah. This this Yeah.
[15:53] introduce
[16:00] a motion for this. I need a motion to
[16:05] support this straightforward.
[16:07] >> We need we need motion to approve the
[16:09] resolution. Correct.
[16:10] >> Correct.
[16:11] >> I would make a motion.
[16:12] >> We need to make a motion.
[16:13] >> Yeah.
[16:14] >> Yes. We have
[16:15] >> We got a motion doing it.
[16:16] >> Oh, sorry. You can't hear over here.
[16:18] >> I know. I got a horse voice.
[16:20] >> I have a motion.
[16:21] >> I have a mo Yeah,
[16:23] >> I need a second.
[16:24] >> I I second that motion.
[16:29] [laughter]
[16:29] >> Roll caller. Mr. Yay voice.
[16:32] >> All in favor?
[16:33] >> I
[16:34] >> oppose.
[16:36] Motion carries. [clears throat]
[16:37] >> Thank you.
[16:38] >> Who's this?
[16:38] >> Do you mind if I go ahead and introduce?
[16:41] >> Sure. I should have done this earlier
[16:42] when I spoke about the uh land and water
[16:46] uh the the splash pad during public
[16:49] discussion, but I do want to introduce
[16:51] Amanda Waldridge.
[16:52] >> Hi.
[16:53] >> So, she'll be joining us and taking
[16:55] meeting minutes and setting up the
[16:57] meeting and all those wonderful things.
[17:00] So, welcome.
[17:01] >> Thank you. Thank you. Welcome.
[17:02] >> Welcome. Welcome aboard.
[17:07] [clears throat]
[17:08] >> Trail committee.
[17:12] Uh, did we skip some stuff? No.
[17:17] >> Yeah, we did. [laughter]
[17:22] » You did a good job already,
[17:24] >> Pierre de Lumiere.
[17:27] >> I think we're right on schedule. Um, we
[17:30] have 10
[17:33] total displays at this time plus the one
[17:37] the city is providing. goal was 15. Uh
[17:41] we have two to three applications out
[17:43] even though the deadline was supposed to
[17:44] be October 1st. They require board
[17:46] approval. So we've kind of tenatively
[17:48] stretched that out for them until the
[17:50] 15th. So we may have another three. Uh
[17:53] the timers are in. They came in today.
[17:56] Venmo will be set up this week. That
[17:58] took a a lot, but [laughter] we're
[18:01] there. We're there. Um we have all the
[18:04] receipts for everything that we've
[18:06] spent. Do you want us to email to you as
[18:09] they come in or do you want them just
[18:10] kind of once a month?
[18:14] >> Once a month is fine.
[18:15] >> Okay. And she has an expense report just
[18:17] documenting everything that's come out.
[18:19] >> Beautiful.
[18:19] >> Um other than that, we do we're going to
[18:22] have some remaining budget. We've kind
[18:23] of discussed before
[18:26] if it's substantial.
[18:28] Do we want to maybe buy some decorations
[18:31] on our own to fluff up the park? That'll
[18:34] be in a private heroine friends of the
[18:36] park meeting after this. Um, don't we
[18:40] have some Do we have some stuff that we
[18:43] used to use?
[18:44] >> Glowups.
[18:45] >> No. No. Like lights from the old city.
[18:49] >> I mean, there's some pole lights, but I
[18:52] mean, you decorate, you have big
[18:53] ornaments and snowflakes.
[18:55] >> So, after the 15th, we're going to get
[18:56] together and kind of discuss what we
[18:58] have, what we need, what we choose to
[19:00] spend the money on if we do. Uh other
[19:02] than
[19:03] >> friends of the park money.
[19:04] >> Yes. Yep. So that'll be a Friends of the
[19:06] Park meeting. Nothing that has to happen
[19:08] tonight. Um other than that, we did have
[19:10] a Friends of the Park meeting about the
[19:12] donation box that would be permanent in
[19:15] the park, which does require the board
[19:17] to [snorts] be involved in. Gary had
[19:19] mentioned maybe shifting from just a
[19:21] little janky box on the side of the road
[19:25] to like an info center. Uh we kind of
[19:28] looked at some different ideas on that.
[19:30] He'd be able to drive up to it. It'd
[19:31] have all the information for the park.
[19:33] It would have flyers, event schedule,
[19:36] things like that. But that's really he's
[19:39] the man with the knowledge on it, not
[19:40] me. [laughter]
[19:43] >> Are you talking about like a kind of
[19:44] like what we have up here, the cemetery
[19:46] where you have a board, an info board, a
[19:48] flat info board.
[19:49] >> More like what's down at Gage Park.
[19:52] >> Okay.
[19:53] >> Yeah. So, it have an interchangeable
[19:54] like a plexiglass front where we could
[19:56] get in and then a donation box would be
[19:58] mounted to that. It's nothing imminent.
[20:00] If we can do it, it'd be great because
[20:02] every time we hold an event at the park,
[20:04] we've got that donation box sitting
[20:06] right there.
[20:07] >> And then people could [snorts] It'll
[20:08] have the Venmo
[20:10] >> thing so people can Venmo if they feel
[20:13] like they want to contribute.
[20:16] >> If we can't make that happen this year,
[20:17] we'll get by. We'll craft something up
[20:19] for a donation box.
[20:20] >> Yeah.
[20:21] >> I'm a Venmo.
[20:25] [clears throat]
[20:25] >> Anything else there?
[20:27] >> That's it. I mean, things are falling
[20:29] into place.
[20:30] >> Yeah, it's it's a it's a few shy of
[20:31] where I wanted to be, but I think we'll
[20:34] get the last few.
[20:35] >> I do.
[20:36] >> Good start.
[20:36] >> Yeah.
[20:37] >> And I've got the for uh the St. Genevie
[20:42] Friends of the City Park. I do have our
[20:45] >> financials.
[20:45] So, I'll go ahead and pass
[20:48] these out. So, we are all
[20:52] above board.
[20:53] >> Very minimal spending. Thanks to the
[20:55] donors. Yeah. Um the loops, the drops,
[20:57] they're in. They're done.
[20:59] >> Cuz right now we've spent
[21:02] just on for the flyers
[21:06] and the uh
[21:08] >> drops It's like
[21:10] >> less than $200.
[21:11] >> Yeah. You know, $180 something like
[21:14] that.
[21:14] >> We've been correct.
[21:15] >> So [laughter]
[21:18] that's it for us. And I think we've
[21:20] mentioned this [clears throat] before,
[21:20] but the the project is being funded
[21:24] through donations to Friends of the
[21:27] Park.
[21:27] >> Yes.
[21:29] And hopefully we'll have if anybody
[21:32] wants to help out and donate to the
[21:37] friends of the park for the event then
[21:41] or you know just to donate so we can you
[21:44] know someday match you know help match
[21:47] some of these uh u grants you know we
[21:51] will have the Venmo set up hopefully by
[21:54] tomorrow by the end of the week.
[21:56] >> Basically it all goes back to the park.
[21:58] That's it. Raise money for the park.
[22:00] That's it. [clears throat]
[22:03] » So,
[22:06] >> good job, ladies.
[22:08] >> Trying. We'll see. [laughter]
[22:15] » How many like I'm sorry, you were saying
[22:17] a couple more people.
[22:19] >> I have three more pending applications
[22:21] that require board approval.
[22:24] >> So, we're going to extend
[22:26] >> the same three. Uh-huh.
[22:28] >> Oh,
[22:29] >> no.
[22:29] >> Okay.
[22:31] >> Different
[22:31] >> cuz I got to put mine in too. So,
[22:34] >> four and counting.
[22:36] >> Okay.
[22:36] >> So, how many is that total?
[22:38] >> Oh, sorry.
[22:38] >> Huh?
[22:39] >> How many would that be total?
[22:40] >> Uh, with the cities, we're at 11 right
[22:43] now. If we got the remaining 3 plus you,
[22:45] we'd be at 14. And that I mean, we were
[22:48] aiming for 15 to keep it small this
[22:51] year. I really didn't want to go over
[22:52] 15.
[22:53] >> Are we doing one
[22:55] >> the park story? Oh, we can.
[22:57] >> I know. I mean,
[22:57] >> put me on a craft mission.
[22:59] >> There you go. I will do it.
[23:01] [clears throat]
[23:02] >> I'll sponsor.
[23:03] >> You will?
[23:04] >> Okay. Well, sounds like parks board's
[23:06] doing one. Uh, too.
[23:08] >> So, on the 15th, we'll have a a little
[23:10] friend of the park meeting and figure
[23:11] out what we're putting up there.
[23:14] >> Did your other three ever?
[23:15] >> No, kind of.
[23:18] >> We still have a few of the uh Did you
[23:21] bring a copy of the fire?
[23:24] >> Okay. Um, we we've give we still have a
[23:27] couple of more of the flyers to give out
[23:29] to some
[23:30] >> I can't give them out anymore. We're so
[23:31] close to
[23:32] >> organizations.
[23:34] Yeah, but I've got them.
[23:35] >> So, [clears throat] so
[23:39] >> if anybody wants one,
[23:41] >> it's interesting to me how everybody's
[23:43] using French
[23:47] >> and all of their events now.
[23:50] >> Like I just discovered St. Genevie. Oh,
[23:52] we're French. just [laughter]
[23:56] >> I think we were all at a loss on what to
[23:58] name it and none of us had any ideas.
[24:01] [laughter]
[24:01] >> It was pretty creative.
[24:03] >> I like it.
[24:04] >> I do. I like
[24:11] » Okay, moving on.
[24:14] >> Let's see where we should go now. Pick a
[24:16] spot. Uh
[24:19] accessible picnic tables, big pavilion.
[24:22] So, just want to give you a quick
[24:23] update. I put a picture of them at your
[24:25] seat. There were two. They are there
[24:28] now. Uh, we do not have them labeled,
[24:31] but it's pretty evident that they are
[24:33] accessible picnic tables. Uh, we are
[24:35] going to label them. And, uh, as Jeff
[24:38] mentioned in his report today, there was
[24:40] an accessible, I guess you'd call it a
[24:43] ramp. Um,
[24:45] >> yeah. Connects the parking lot to the
[24:47] big pavilion.
[24:48] >> Oh, the approach. That approach.
[24:50] >> Yeah. It's actually got a little curb on
[24:52] it to help keep the pee gravel in place
[24:54] [clears throat] hopefully. So,
[24:56] >> so, uh, good deal.
[24:57] >> That was installed today. New trash cans
[24:59] will go in and then I have asked public
[25:02] works to restripe that parking lot. Of
[25:04] course, it'll have ADA accessible
[25:06] parking. Also,
[25:07] >> we're going to see if Bowman come in and
[25:11] resurface it for us. At least like we'll
[25:14] crack fill it and then just do like a
[25:16] >> sealer sealer over it and then restripe
[25:19] it. But I laid it out. I could have one
[25:23] big handicap spot and then I think I
[25:26] came up 19 parking spaces.
[25:29] So
[25:32] I think that help out.
[25:35] >> I think the table looks great.
[25:36] >> Yeah, it does.
[25:38] >> Two, both of them.
[25:39] >> Yeah, I was up there the day they were
[25:41] putting them together. Roughly they're
[25:43] >> not cheap.
[25:44] >> I want to say
[25:47] 600 a piece. Still
[25:51] not bad. There's
[25:52] >> one of our other tables right there.
[25:58] » Yeah.
[26:01] » Okay.
[26:03] >> That's good.
[26:04] >> Master plans, committee reports,
[26:06] fundraising.
[26:08] >> Well, we're working. We have the
[26:11] >> airum ears
[26:12] >> and then whatever we collect for the um
[26:17] the uh pumpkin glow.
[26:19] >> I think that's 100% free. There's no
[26:21] profits in that.
[26:22] >> We we just set out a a
[26:25] >> I think for donations
[26:27] >> a donation can is what we do.
[26:29] >> Gary, do you know when we're going to be
[26:31] getting pumpkin?
[26:34] When we're going to get be getting a
[26:36] >> October the 11th. 11th. That's when
[26:38] everything's getting delivered.
[26:39] >> No, I'm just picking them up.
[26:41] >> Well, that's
[26:43] working on that yet.
[26:44] >> Okay.
[26:44] >> The 11th on the pumpkins. Are they going
[26:46] to get till the
[26:48] >> Yeah,
[26:49] >> till the 30th.
[26:50] >> Yeah. As long as you don't
[26:52] be all right.
[26:53] >> Let Let me know when you
[26:55] >> I thought it was the 23rd.
[26:56] >> Yeah, it's the 23rd.
[26:57] >> Y'all moved it during the last
[26:59] >> That's why we moved it. I just That's
[27:02] why I'm confused. It was the tw We
[27:05] thought it was the 23rd, but then you
[27:07] had something else.
[27:09] >> You had something and then Shelly
[27:10] didn't.
[27:11] >> Right. I mean, I remember all of that,
[27:12] but
[27:13] >> So, we moved it to
[27:15] >> the 29. The night the Friday.
[27:18] >> Yeah.
[27:18] >> The We usually do it on Friday.
[27:23] >> It isn't.
[27:25] >> It's the Friday.
[27:26] >> How could the 30th?
[27:28] >> The 29th or whatever.
[27:30] >> The 30th. Because you had you even asked
[27:33] in there if she would take her kids the
[27:35] night before Halloween or something like
[27:37] that.
[27:38] >> No, it was the 23rd because it was it
[27:41] was with the art walk.
[27:42] >> I know. But but because there nobody You
[27:45] couldn't be there. Couldn't be there.
[27:49] >> Shel couldn't be there.
[27:51] >> That's what I was confused too. I didn't
[27:53] know that we actually said agreed on
[27:56] >> we'll get together after Friday night
[27:58] and kind of
[27:59] >> cuz I just because it doesn't fall on
[28:01] the art walk has and we discuss that too
[28:04] like that has nothing to do with
[28:05] >> I'm open either date it does not matter
[28:07] to me but I
[28:09] >> the reason I liked it on the art walk I
[28:11] mean it simply cuz it's like the fourth
[28:14] Friday of the month
[28:15] >> you can always say it's the fourth
[28:17] Friday of the month every year it's just
[28:20] easier to
[28:21] >> but I No, I I mean I understand I get it
[28:24] has typically it has been that way. This
[28:27] year just happened to fall on too many
[28:29] other commitments which is going to keep
[28:32] continuing to happen to this town
[28:34] because there's just so much town for so
[28:36] many events.
[28:39] [clears throat] But um if we the 30th is
[28:42] great
[28:44] that makes me happy.
[28:47] Is that still okay with you?
[28:49] >> That's okay with me.
[28:52] Anybody else going to help us out? You
[28:54] know, 30th
[28:57] » because otherwise it's going to be if we
[28:59] did it the 23rd,
[29:02] we're looking at a few, you know,
[29:05] >> did it last year with about four people.
[29:08] >> Requested volunteers this year, so we're
[29:10] going to look on some volunteers.
[29:12] >> We're going to do carve the pumpkins
[29:17] >> before. Did you get that?
[29:18] >> As much as we could.
[29:19] >> Well, clean clean the insides. Yeah,
[29:22] >> I had mentioned that and Dick wasn't
[29:25] like he was he looked at me like so I
[29:27] read that as he's
[29:30] party
[29:31] >> the carving.
[29:32] >> Yeah. When [clears throat] we were
[29:32] talking Yeah, that sounds fun. Yeah.
[29:34] Yeah.
[29:35] >> No, it's not going to be fun. Be a
[29:37] [laughter] mess.
[29:37] >> It's going to be a mess.
[29:39] But we
[29:41] >> in the long run, I think it's going to
[29:42] be easier than let's work for everybody
[29:44] else. Well, if if four or five of us
[29:47] show up, my husband's volunteered
[29:48] [clears throat] to help gut them and get
[29:50] it ready. I mean, we can get them done.
[29:52] Even if we get half of them done, that's
[29:53] going to help. So, we'll just do that on
[29:55] our own.
[29:56] >> Or we can get volunteers.
[29:58] >> Yeah. And hopefully the weather will
[30:01] cooperate and just start getting a
[30:02] little cooler so we don't have sweating
[30:05] while we're carving pumpkins cuz
[30:07] >> now we have to [clears throat]
[30:07] re-evaluate on where to do that at since
[30:11] we're not doing the prep party anymore.
[30:13] But we're going to meet after this.
[30:15] >> Yeah. I don't And I don't see why some
[30:17] You couldn't I'm just hypothetical. You
[30:20] take five home, you take six home, you
[30:22] take 10 or whatever. Let's just do it at
[30:24] home.
[30:25] >> Yeah, that's fine. Bring them.
[30:26] >> Why not just do them at the park?
[30:28] >> I was going to say or, you know,
[30:30] >> not have to transport anything.
[30:33] >> Get a big tub, dump,
[30:35] >> you got it.
[30:37] >> Those of us want those of us that want
[30:39] to have, you know,
[30:40] >> I said we're going to get together after
[30:41] this and kind of hunker down on all of
[30:44] those details. I think
[30:46] >> because even that way, I mean, like she
[30:48] has a large family. Maybe some of her
[30:50] family members would carve some and
[30:52] bring them out.
[30:54] >> Clean them. You mean
[30:56] >> um
[30:57] >> Yeah, we could.
[30:58] >> Cuz we can't have like a whole bunch of
[31:00] pre-carved pumpkins sitting there
[31:02] waiting if it's 100° out like a lot.
[31:04] >> Yeah.
[31:05] >> Well, if you're doing if you're only
[31:07] going to do it the night before.
[31:09] >> Yeah,
[31:09] >> that's what I'm saying. That's fine. But
[31:10] if we were
[31:11] >> Oh, you're talking like weeks ahead. No,
[31:13] >> not weeks, but And if the pumpkins are
[31:16] going to be down there anyway, you know,
[31:19] we can just do them down there.
[31:20] >> That's what I do. Everybody just show up
[31:21] and show up.
[31:22] >> Bring your knife.
[31:24] >> Yeah. Everybody is nobody, then we're
[31:26] screwed.
[31:27] >> There's the picnic tables down by
[31:29] Sarah's garden, too.
[31:31] >> Yeah.
[31:34] >> Well, and also we have we'll have a
[31:36] meeting
[31:38] that Monday before. So,
[31:42] >> yes.
[31:43] >> Kind of re-evaluate last minute needs.
[31:45] >> Uh, when are you getting the Are you
[31:48] getting the hay?
[31:50] >> The bales.
[31:50] >> I'm working on it.
[31:52] >> Do what?
[31:53] >> I'm going to work on it cuz you said
[31:54] Paul wasn't available this year, right?
[31:56] >> Yeah. He didn't do it this year.
[31:59] >> Gary, I did buy two of those giant
[32:02] industrial coffee pots that y'all were
[32:04] wanting.
[32:04] >> I saw you posted that.
[32:06] >> We've got two of them. That way, we can
[32:07] run one. Mhm.
[32:09] >> And then as it's running, heat the
[32:11] second one up. So we always have two,
[32:14] you know, one hot at, you know, at a
[32:15] given time. So
[32:16] >> I have one from a restaurant that I gave
[32:18] you.
[32:19] >> Oh, I paid nothing for these. It was
[32:22] [laughter]
[32:23] >> okay. Now we have them for future
[32:24] events.
[32:28] » The pumpkin.
[32:30] All
[32:30] >> right.
[32:33] Okay.
[32:33] >> We're going to have a little meeting
[32:35] after this about the pumpkin glow. So if
[32:37] we want to move on, we can do that.
[32:39] >> Well, let's just do that then.
[32:40] >> So there's not a solid date yet, right?
[32:43] >> I thought there was.
[32:44] >> I think [laughter]
[32:45] >> since that's only really down under new
[32:47] business, but
[32:51] >> okay, trail committee. I'm back to that.
[32:53] That's all right. Good job.
[32:56] Still waiting to hear from um DNR on our
[33:01] RTP grant.
[33:04] >> When is that usually awarded?
[33:07] what I've been told is November, but um
[33:10] it's you know I think I submitted the
[33:14] application in November of 2025.
[33:19] >> Okay. Yeah.
[33:23] » Is that it?
[33:24] >> Yes, sir.
[33:24] >> Playground committee,
[33:29] » bathroom committee.
[33:34] » Is that me, too?
[33:34] >> Yeah, it's you, too. Uh Cory will be
[33:37] ordering the mini split and installing
[33:39] it uh in the coming weeks. So good.
[33:42] >> Uh that's about uh
[33:45] all I got.
[33:47] >> So new business pumpkin globe in there.
[33:51] >> It says October 23rd on it.
[33:54] >> That is what I was told to put there.
[33:57] >> Okay. New park at Progress Point.
[34:01] >> Uh you have some photographs at your
[34:04] seat. So, you know, I wanted to inform
[34:08] you of it. I mean, we can certainly chat
[34:10] about it, but I mean, it's been putting
[34:11] in put in by a private developer,
[34:14] McBride, and then it'll be handed over
[34:17] to the city as will the trail and the
[34:20] streets and the infrastructure um that
[34:22] are will be part of the subdivision. Um,
[34:26] I did not bring a map, but if you've
[34:29] been out along Progress Parkway
[34:31] recently, they've moved a lot of dirt
[34:34] out there and they've um
[34:37] >> installed constructed uh a new entrance
[34:41] to the property off of Progress Parkway.
[34:44] So, if you can imagine turning into it
[34:46] from the south, uh there'll be some
[34:49] mailboxes
[34:51] and um behind the mailboxes, maybe,
[34:56] don't quote me on this, 100 ft will be
[34:59] the playground. So, that's where the
[35:01] playground will be. And then, of course,
[35:03] you'll drive into the subdivision and go
[35:05] on from there. [clears throat]
[35:07] >> So, each house their their mailboxes are
[35:10] going to be on Progress Parkway. There's
[35:12] a there's a mailbox unit basically. You
[35:16] So when the mail's delivered, yeah,
[35:18] you'll go to the uh I don't know what
[35:21] it's called.
[35:22] >> The entrance to the subdivision
[35:23] basically. You'll go and you'll have
[35:25] your key. You will get your
[35:26] >> So this park just consists of a
[35:28] playground.
[35:29] >> Correct. That the the city will be
[35:31] responsible for.
[35:32] >> Correct. There's no mowing.
[35:36] >> I mean, there'll be mowing of other
[35:37] areas around the trail, but not this
[35:40] area.
[35:42] The HOA will be responsible
[35:44] for the maintenance of the common
[35:47] grounds. The HOA common grounds will mow
[35:50] around the trail.
[35:51] >> Could the HOA be responsible for the
[35:54] park?
[35:55] >> No, cuz we've already been down that
[35:57] path and that is not
[36:00] um
[36:00] >> what trail
[36:03] >> the trail that they'll install from
[36:06] Parkwood out to Progress Parkway.
[36:13] There's
[36:14] >> I can bring a map next time. You know,
[36:15] this has been through PNZ and the board
[36:17] of alderman. Um, so there's it's all
[36:20] platted out, but I can bring a map and
[36:21] like show it to you next meeting.
[36:24] >> It's on Facebook, too.
[36:25] >> Yeah, I was going to say I saw it on
[36:26] Facebook
[36:29] >> and I guess I shouldn't say what trail,
[36:30] but where is the trail? So, from I don't
[36:34] mean to be reiterating, but from
[36:35] Parkwood along that little creek, I
[36:38] guess we'll call it, and then it'll come
[36:40] up by the playground on the back side,
[36:42] there'll be an offshoot to the
[36:43] playground, and then it'll connect to
[36:46] the sidewalk. Then you can take the
[36:48] sidewalk out to Progress Parkway, cross
[36:51] the street, take the trail that's
[36:54] existing, and go to the community
[36:56] center, water park.
[36:59] Okay.
[37:03] Sounds good.
[37:04] >> Okay,
[37:06] good.
[37:11] Any other business?
[37:18] No one wants
[37:25] motion.
[37:27] >> I got a motion.
[37:28] >> Y
[37:31] I have a motion.
[37:33] I move.
[37:34] >> What are you looking at me?
[37:36] >> We need a second.
[37:37] >> I have a second. All in favor? I oppose.
[37:43] Meeting adjourned. Just
