[0:00] All right, well, let's call our meeting to order. I know we have two people who would not be here today, and that was Lee and Theo, possibly clear clearly becoming late.
[0:17] I'm going to do it with a guest for this today.
[0:19] She's wonderful.
[0:22] Yeah, I decided to walk and sit and drive.
[0:25] Ah, well, good for you.
[0:27] We decided to drive a set of a lot.
[0:29] A little block away.
[0:32] Of course, I was bringing a week to the next stage.
[0:35] Kathy Rossi of Director of Communications for the town is with us today.
[0:39] Welcome, Kathy.
[0:41] Right in the newsletter right now.
[0:43] Oh, okay.
[0:43] the well. Yes. And our newest member is here. And she do a little bit of magic. So happy to have you with us.
[0:52] Thank you. So I believe everybody has a copy of the minutes from our last meeting. If we could look at those and see if you have any corrections or additions.
[2:17] She's amazing.
[2:25] But it's a little bit of a nature.
[2:28] She's a little bit of a nature.
[2:28] I think you're going to have to do
[3:40] it.
[3:40] Additions or corrections?
[3:42] There's just one.
[3:43] It's very tiny.
[3:46] There's just in the third key.
[3:49] See, being on the trail, not trail.
[3:54] Okay.
[3:55] That's a very teeny little.
[3:57] That's pretty much, but meaningful.
[3:58] Yeah.
[3:59] It does have a different meaning.
[4:01] Yeah.
[4:10] But that's it with someone like a motion to approve the medicine for a day or second.
[4:17] Thank you.
[4:24] Report recommendations directly.
[4:26] Thank you.
[4:27] We'll put these short and sweet.
[4:28] Some of my items are in the agenda, so I'll skip both of those.
[4:32] I'm happy to say that the travel to Bethany Beach Interact Panel in F.
[4:37] danger is at our second iteration.
[4:40] Thank you, Paula.
[4:41] and Theo. So, I'll be working with them to kind of refine what we're doing and we're, you know,
[4:51] our goal data is to have it installed by the summer season. So, but it's, it's going to be fantastic.
[4:57] They've done a really good job with the content and making it very interactive and fun,
[5:01] but interesting for all ages. So, that's exciting.
[5:07] What's even more exciting?
[5:09] is that the media project got installed yesterday at both the Dinker Irvin and the Nature Center.
[5:19] So I'll be following up with all the docents and Jack members just about. I mean basically
[5:25] from the user perspective, it won't even have to be turned on and off. It's got it's that
[5:31] schedule and it'll go on and off by himself. They might be some troubleshooting occasionally,
[5:36] but right now it's ready to go, you can interact with it and we'll be getting what we
[5:43] developing some more content at the time goes on but it's really exciting so we've got the ability
[5:49] to push out information to our visitors and especially event information which is right there
[5:55] on the screens so that's a great great addition and it's got broadcast of as many locations as
[6:02] end up having these monitors in. So I welded a great job and thank you for the support
[6:08] everybody else provided as well. I know that the 125th Anniversary is on the agenda
[6:14] so I'll skip that. Just general sites and events, the town hall case, the veterans exhibit
[6:21] was reinstalled and now stay there. Through the end of the year and then as per the strategy
[6:27] document, things will be, you know, those townhall cases will be changed out as appropriate
[6:32] for whatever is going on at that particular time.
[6:37] Christmas at the colleges, we'll discuss later in the agenda.
[6:42] The collection, more exciting news, I've been working with an app developer for an online archival
[6:52] program for the collection. So it's almost ready to go and it means that it's basically
[7:00] data entry in a very easy user interface and it will make the collection not necessarily
[7:09] I'm not going to say it will have digital copies of everything because that would require
[7:13] too much storage space but there will be visual records of everything and down to you know size
[7:21] who donated it, captions that have been already created.
[7:26] So it's very, very exciting.
[7:28] And that does tell us with the organization project
[7:31] that's still ongoing at Blackwater.
[7:33] So when that gets a little more settled,
[7:35] I'd really like to do a class trip.
[7:39] So everybody can see.
[7:42] And I'm also thinking about, and I haven't discussed this
[7:46] with Carol yet, but the idea of perhaps
[7:49] having a chat member, be titular archivist, and that's somebody that we can train
[8:01] also on this interface, somebody who likes to do that kind of thing that they want
[8:06] to help do in the data entry, and I think I can reach out to the docents as well,
[8:13] because many of them are also interested in this. So it's not an open app
[8:17] for anybody to access, but a few people
[8:20] could be trained on it because the collection is fairly large.
[8:24] And just one person doing the data entry could take a while.
[8:28] To take the next 125 years.
[8:31] I'd like to speed up that process.
[8:34] Do you have to access it just there?
[8:37] Or is there a way there's an online concern here?
[8:41] I thought I'd be able to put it in.
[8:44] Yeah, yeah, so that's something, you know,
[8:47] Chack members certainly can't discuss, but that's was my hope.
[8:53] Okay, and then just a quick, recently, Mary Lutitz is a new dosen,
[8:59] and I know she's been involved with town.
[9:01] Right, Carol, she was involved, she's on the farmer's market.
[9:05] I know her very well from the farmer's market on Sundays.
[9:08] So she came over with a lot of personal photographs from her family
[9:13] that had really wonderful shots of the storm of 62.
[9:18] So those are now scanned as high-rich images.
[9:21] She didn't want to donate the actual photos,
[9:23] so that they are scanned as high-res,
[9:26] and we now have them as part of the collection.
[9:28] So that was a very nice donation.
[9:32] With doses, again, the dosent media training,
[9:36] it'll be very basic.
[9:38] Dosents won't really be uploading any content,
[9:40] But we'll, you know, I'll go through just the hardware, so everybody knows, you know,
[9:45] we're the on-off button is that they're never supposed to touch.
[9:49] And Dave has actually volunteered to be the backup, I'm going to say media tech support, tech support.
[9:58] So he'll get also he'll be one of the people that has access as well.
[10:02] It's Julie, Carol will have it, I will have it, and then Nancy Lucy will have it, and that's kind of the team.
[10:08] So that's exciting.
[10:13] This is something that I've talked to Carol about.
[10:16] You know, I joined the, I'm a member of the small media,
[10:21] the small museum association as well as something
[10:24] that I can't ever remember all the names of,
[10:26] but it's the American Association of his history sites,
[10:32] something like that.
[10:33] And they've been really pushing the 250th anniversary
[10:36] three and we know we're really trying to develop that theme as well. I got a great
[10:43] paper on engaging with a visitor and it's like this really nice eight point. Here's
[10:51] some of the things you can do. Now of course, you know, chat with those and that's been
[10:56] being developed anyway but I thought having a quick workshop after I think we thought
[11:01] maybe the stuff you were in meeting.
[11:03] Where we could actually use these points,
[11:06] I'll pull some objects from the collection,
[11:09] and we can do a workshop on some of these ideas
[11:12] of how do we maybe massage it for the 125th slash 250
[11:18] or just here's some best practices
[11:20] that we can add to the stories
[11:22] we're already using to engage our visitors.
[11:26] So that should be an interesting little,
[11:29] just a little bit.
[11:30] a messaging perspective like how do we communicate this? Is that what you're looking at?
[11:34] It's a, yeah, I mean it talks about sort of ways to use your collection and your site to engage.
[11:42] And there are some of them are basic, some of them everybody's already doing, but this will just,
[11:47] I think, open up thoughts, especially next year with, you know, what's going on in the country,
[11:54] and you know, with the anniversary, the 250 and the 125. So kind of, I think it could be a fun
[12:00] And also, you know, we don't get to see the stuff that's not on display from the collection.
[12:05] So, especially, and also, we're developing, which I know is on the agenda, the exhibit for town hall for the 125th.
[12:14] So, it sort of all dovetails together.
[12:16] So, just a timeline.
[12:19] Bethany wasn't here in 250.
[12:20] Right.
[12:21] Wasn't here in 125th, except in a very general sense.
[12:24] So, are we going to go back and fill in some content?
[12:28] saying what it was like during that time?
[12:31] I think that should we do that during the agenda?
[12:34] Don't you recognize me?
[12:35] No, no, again, I think we have it on her to discuss exactly.
[12:39] Right, we've got some ideas, but it's time to really figure that out.
[12:44] Thank you.
[12:46] Okay, last just some stats, so the visitors to the dinker are in through November, but
[12:53] just in November we're 37 this year, just as a quick comparison I like to do it.
[12:58] last year it was 44, but the total January through the end of November 2025, then $584.
[13:08] Last year at the same time, it's 523.
[13:12] So we did increase our visitors this year, which is something we've been trying to do, reach out to the community.
[13:19] retail, January, through November we sold 128 items, that includes both
[13:26] Dinker and Town Hall, for a total of about a thousand dollars, so that and that
[13:32] all goes to Jack, so most items sold, believe it or not, were the flexible
[13:39] magnets, and then next were ornaments and last brochures, which yeah, but I
[13:47] I think that reflects our visitors.
[13:49] It's a paper product.
[13:51] So, that's right.
[13:54] It's easy to put in a purse or a pocket or something.
[13:58] Okay, that is it for me.
[14:00] Unless anybody has any specific specific questions for that.
[14:04] Okay.
[14:06] Christmas at the cottages,
[14:08] which we know is the Saturday Museum from 11 to 1.
[14:12] I think we're all set.
[14:14] Are we not?
[14:14] Yes.
[14:15] everything and we have enough volunteers and we definitely got a
[14:18] gingerbread cookies right there.
[14:20] Just we put them in my car.
[14:22] It's okay.
[14:22] It's okay.
[14:23] Perfect.
[14:25] And I just wanted to share that this year we really pumped up our activities for kids.
[14:32] Not only are we going to bring out the gingerbread houses again.
[14:35] We have a snowflake decorating things.
[14:39] You know, you can, they're just, you know, templates.
[14:42] you push them out and then I've got washable markers for the kids.
[14:47] We have a scavenger hunt that was developed for the school programs.
[14:52] So we're going to do that as well.
[14:55] We have what's the other thing?
[14:57] Oh, the postcards, the postcards.
[14:59] So well.
[15:00] The postcards that were created also for the kids, and it will be send to holiday greeting.
[15:06] So, they can anybody conceal it out, put whatever address they want on it, and mail it in the post office.
[15:13] I've got stamps that I'll put on them, and then take them to the post office.
[15:18] So I think those are four or five things that kids can do, so if you know anybody who wants to bring their kids, we're really trying to make sure there's something for them to do.
[15:31] They'll be mailing that in the post office that's in the museum, which would be right. How fun is that?
[15:37] Then we'll take them out. Take them to the real post office.
[15:39] Yes, lots of things to do for kids. Hopefully we get quite a few.
[15:43] And what about for the adults?
[15:45] Are they doing the postcards too?
[15:46] Oh, sure.
[15:48] Yeah, absolutely.
[15:48] They can do the scavenger hunt.
[15:50] Yeah, they can help their child.
[15:52] They can have a child.
[15:54] They can find a child.
[15:55] The first we're always doing share your stories.
[15:58] So if any of them comes and they'd like to tell us about some wonderful memory of them coming
[16:02] to Beth and Beach, we're happy to record that.
[16:05] And that'll be upstairs and inside, because we found that the porch really was an oisie,
[16:10] was not that often went place to try and do that.
[16:12] You know, well, in bringing up the holly capital, maybe that's something to consider for next year,
[16:20] doing a lease making or something so that the adults can, and the children that can do it together,
[16:26] it could be a take home craft, so that's a great idea, and then the tie-in to the area,
[16:30] it could be a brief sort, just even just ornaments or something.
[16:34] Yeah, like a little ornament, so like, yeah, yeah.
[16:39] Or you can combine it and have a little weave that's an ornament.
[16:42] There you go.
[16:43] It's clear.
[16:44] It's right.
[16:44] It's right.
[16:46] Oh, he's looking.
[16:48] Okay.
[16:49] So then we'll be moving into January, and we did talk about this in November, but we decided
[16:53] to just enjoy Thanksgiving and talk about it now.
[16:56] So we'll talk about it today, which is the Fire and Ice Festival, which is the last week
[17:01] and in January, sponsored by the Chamber.
[17:04] And they have asked all the local history groups to gather January 31st at the Coastal
[17:12] to the museum from 11 to 3.
[17:17] So is anybody, we have a table from the museum
[17:21] and talked about getting a tablecloth?
[17:25] Yeah. So there are many ways we can go to the tablecloth.
[17:29] Number one, are we trying to eat foot or six foot?
[17:32] No, it's a forefoot.
[17:33] That's a forefoot for the museum.
[17:36] Depending upon if you want to order two to have that ready,
[17:39] there's six foot tables.
[17:40] Right, and then we have a four foot table for it by two.
[17:46] So, well, whatever your preference is, I just came up with some basic designs for the
[17:51] same class.
[17:53] We could do a plenty of white, we could do blue, we could do gray, but the idea is the same thing,
[17:58] just have the name of the committee in front and the logo on either side.
[18:04] And this shows that with white text, you know, being yellow, using the design elements, or you can even, we can do gray, which is the tabernacle color, so there's many ways we can go with this.
[18:17] Difference of price is not that big, six foot is a hundred twenty eight dollars.
[18:21] I did an eight foot, which is one forty five two, so the four is going to be the last.
[18:25] Well, how big of a table do we need? He's really just going to be two of us there at a time.
[18:30] I assume he, because I can't go down there by myself all day.
[18:36] I think in your front of one, I think you should decide what size and stick to that.
[18:46] And I would, as far as small.
[18:48] It's pretty good if you're, you know, if we're going to use this for the seaside craft show,
[18:55] and we have mugs out because we had people wanted to buy last year.
[18:59] It's going to get lost with everything else.
[19:01] And you want it to, the, the, the, the, the, the, we will have our table top model of the museum to take with us that that's going to be cool, which will, you know, open up and we'll have a rock card to the museum and check inside, which should be a nice attention data for us in a conversation, sorry, a station piece.
[19:17] So, so we'll say six with table.
[19:19] Because I think if you go any bigger than six, then becomes like cumbersome to marry, you know.
[19:24] But they do, you get the full one.
[19:27] And that's what I did.
[19:28] If you get an eight foot, you get one of the full ones that you can carry.
[19:32] So it depends on what we want.
[19:35] Well, I don't know what happens at the seaside crash show,
[19:39] but I do remember you saying that, you don't know what size those tables are,
[19:44] but we have them up there on their eight and six.
[19:46] We have two sixes.
[19:47] Because last year there was the issue of not having enough on the table, so it sort of formed
[19:53] follow function. What do you want to have? And I told I asked Carol about fire nice. I
[19:57] like give me exactly what you want on that table so that we're ready with all the support materials
[20:04] that you want to display. A foot's a lot of space.
[20:07] Lots of space.
[20:08] That's what we had last year at the C-type craft show with the A foot table, right? And you felt
[20:13] that was there was, I mean, we've seen, we've had, I don't think we had enough of there.
[20:18] We have the tabletop model will be enough, I mean, it's gonna be sizable, plus other things,
[20:26] and plus, you know, I think we're a little bit more with it with this simple swipe,
[20:30] because we can't even use it, and then it wasn't as big as the tabletop.
[20:34] How big is the display?
[20:36] The tabletop?
[20:38] Well, it's going to be as big as the one that's that's the original.
[20:41] Okay.
[20:41] But I told him lighter is better, okay?
[20:44] We can't have something super heavy for us,
[20:46] but he knows it's just for going to these events
[20:50] for us to take with us.
[20:51] So it's decent size then.
[20:53] Yes.
[20:53] Oh, yeah, it's good.
[20:54] I don't think I'd like to put size in the table.
[20:56] It's a show that would take up a couple feet on the table.
[20:59] And I would think.
[21:01] So then maybe six, like, two, small.
[21:05] Well, you could also, since we're having this event on the weekend,
[21:09] right, tested.
[21:09] You know, we've got two, six foot tables out there.
[21:12] You may want to look at those before you guys make any decisions about it, or, again, I think it would be better to make a list of the kind of thing.
[21:22] What you want on the table, how much space is that, and then that drives D and E to 6 or 8 for it?
[21:28] Well, I wouldn't think we're taking things to sell to this.
[21:31] I would think we're taking things to promote who we are.
[21:34] If you come to Bethany Beach, these are the things we'd like for you to see.
[21:37] Here's what we do.
[21:39] Things like that.
[21:40] So, certainly all of our brochures,
[21:45] listing of any of our events that we promote,
[21:49] I mean, specifically from Shack, I think,
[21:51] needs to be on there.
[21:55] So, I also can make another suggestion,
[21:58] but do a test set up in stairs and thinker.
[22:02] I'm one of the six little tables and put everything up there,
[22:05] including, you know, we can put a piece of cardboard
[22:07] to a placeholder, as a placeholder for whatever,
[22:10] and then you get a better sense, because you know you don't want to order three different
[22:15] size table clubs, if you can, you know, get away with the other thing too. If we go to
[22:21] things where people ask, like we want to permit a chat, and this is just another thing
[22:26] to think of, most people have eight for tables. Like if you go to some places, they say
[22:30] we provide the table. It's usually in a state and we put table. So you want to think about
[22:37] in that sense, but also what's going to be more versatile.
[22:42] So, I think you're right, but also, we want to use this in a variety of ways.
[22:49] And even if it's an eighth of table, if put it on a six, there are ways to pin it up in everything for a six.
[22:57] Well, they're also affordable enough that you might have a six or if it's,
[23:01] if those are the two sizes that make them a sense for a dance, then just get two of them,
[23:06] Yeah, because we now have we had a great table close, you know for every slides table
[23:12] So there's always that for the finger events without any logos on that. So
[23:19] Well, this table top model is due to ship on her before January 2nd
[23:25] So we'll have it
[23:27] The test and town has six foot tails and eight foot tables should we need to borrow that or you could use that right
[23:35] If you could just get the dimensions before that actually do that, then we can just do a placeholder
[23:41] of it.
[23:42] And that is a good idea.
[23:43] We'll have a drawing on a test run to see.
[23:45] Is there anything else you would suggest we had on the table?
[23:48] So I don't know if we can do it for fire-nice, probably not, but the future.
[23:53] It would be really great if we had a to-go version of the monitor that was just installed
[23:59] in the museum so that we could put it there.
[24:02] So we could have people could use the touch screen at this table.
[24:06] So people could actually, like, essentially interact like they would in the using it.
[24:10] So it's not an online, it's not, but it can be downloaded though.
[24:16] But not, it couldn't be used because you need the player.
[24:22] Right.
[24:23] Yeah.
[24:24] So, again, that would be a lot of the hard way, for if there was a way to download it.
[24:29] We can talk to them about that, you know.
[24:32] Because it would be really cool to have a traveling capability for that monitor so you
[24:36] can actually let people somewhat interact with the museum remotely.
[24:40] Or something other than a monitor?
[24:42] Could be a laptop.
[24:44] Yeah, we talked about this about having the video when we had a video done just to have
[24:50] it on the loop.
[24:51] So people who haven't been to the museum can visit.
[24:54] I think that's what the greatest would be to be able to replicate the touch screen monitor.
[24:59] but sure that's having some sort of video capability.
[25:02] I mean, as long as there's Wi-Fi, right, a laptop or an iPad could pick it up.
[25:07] That's probably more realistic than what you're talking about.
[25:12] Yeah, I'm just a part.
[25:13] I think there is a, this is a John West part.
[25:16] Yeah, yeah.
[25:16] Well, yeah.
[25:17] Yeah, social challenge museum.
[25:19] Yeah, John West part.
[25:21] At the table, are you going to sign anybody up or taking the work?
[25:26] Don't you think, absolutely, someone says, oh, we would say, yes, come on down, come
[25:31] to a meeting and, or even for the seaside craft, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, so, you're going to need
[25:39] a little space for people then, I'll cut board or something, so I'm going to sign up.
[25:44] So, Claire, you said you would be able to do that, okay, anybody else knows today?
[25:48] You're not on a poll, I'm a player of poll, okay.
[25:52] And me, we probably, one more person, don't worry about that.
[25:57] OK, yeah, we have the tablecloth takes about two weeks, two weeks,
[26:04] some guys, some, when do you have this one?
[26:06] Yeah, but we'll have it for the 31st, that's not a problem.
[26:09] Because one's the holiday rush is over, that'd be good.
[26:12] Right now they're doing discounts.
[26:18] So the yellow on the blue, although I like the color, it might be harder to read, because I was just looking at it from here.
[26:27] Yeah.
[26:28] Right.
[26:29] So the white, you prefer the white.
[26:31] Yeah.
[26:31] You can even do it.
[26:32] I'll just throw some any concerns about only having the logo on the sides in case the
[26:38] tables, you know, next other tables or, you know, just, you know, they'd be good to have it
[26:45] on the front.
[26:46] And now it's not so nice.
[26:47] It's kind of screw up the type.
[26:49] No, you just have to, yeah, the type's going to be smaller and fit the logo.
[26:52] So I, yes, but I kind of like having the bigger font because if you see the logo on the front
[26:59] Without knowing what it is you won't necessarily know, but if you read
[27:02] That maybe it's cultural historical, I think that's almost one powerful. Oh, I was just suggesting both
[27:09] Yeah, the logo as long as it doesn't shrink the font too much
[27:14] On the top you could but this can be covered with things sometimes, but sometimes
[27:25] I'm sure it's going to be fine, I just, you know, thinking out.
[27:31] Well, we'll decide on the table. We've got the exact dimension.
[27:34] And then we'll see what we're going to do.
[27:38] And decide sooner rather than later what we're going to do.
[27:43] But we know Saturday, it will excuse me.
[27:45] Using the green tablecloths. Because we've got the cottages.
[27:48] They're already there.
[27:49] The plastic ones.
[27:50] Yeah, they'll be over the big cables.
[27:51] and then I'll use the small gray ones for the smaller tables.
[27:57] OK.
[27:58] I had one question.
[27:59] Is the track full of shape going to, I was just going to,
[28:02] I was just going to, I was just going to do that in my mind.
[28:06] The track full of shape will definitely be ready for the 31st.
[28:09] It can be, yeah, same company that's doing the table class
[28:12] to do that tonight.
[28:14] Added your projections,
[28:18] the biggest thing I can make this,
[28:21] But the QR code for the chat going right to the website, the chat part of the website,
[28:29] adding the chat email address here and reducing the official committee of the 10th
[28:36] maybe each and just adding a local at the bottom.
[28:47] think this pass is a great idea, and I'll talk to Cliff about that and see if that's
[28:54] something we can do.
[28:55] get that on the website, because it's a little difficult to find your way around that website.
[29:01] I will website on the town website to put the QR code, there's a chat page now, there's
[29:09] a chat page now. Yeah, there's a chat page now, so the QR code, you scan that and that points you
[29:14] to the dedicated page and the chat page is actually part of the museum under residence.
[29:20] Okay. Well, they were safe. They're like saying it's a little hard to find your way around.
[29:28] I mean, that's why you see, I see putting that there, right? It's people in the second room, though.
[29:33] And plus we can say what we're doing, what's going on at the museum, right?
[29:42] I'm sure there's opportunities to enhance that page, but the basics there.
[29:46] It's no matter.
[29:57] I love the background.
[30:00] What is
[30:10] everybody think about that?
[30:18] Yeah.
[30:19] Why not too?
[30:20] There we talked about having a monitor.
[30:23] Push the cock.
[30:24] I like that, Dan.
[30:26] That's not too much.
[30:26] You got that.
[30:27] Love that, Dan.
[30:28] You got the key.
[30:29] That's not too much.
[30:31] That's not too much.
[30:32] That's too much.
[30:33] It's too much.
[30:34] It's too much.
[30:34] Because then one could have.
[30:35] You could always have one up from this way.
[30:37] You could use it to do all of it.
[30:39] I was thinking I would report to you.
[30:40] I was nice.
[30:42] Yes.
[30:42] Because part of my concern is that it's all made his cake quarters in there.
[30:46] And if you get a number of people in charge of it in the post office and they're trying to
[30:50] look at this and they're trying to do that, you know, some of these times can cure code.
[30:55] So the more things we could kind of push that a little bit, even if you could have by the back
[30:58] to work, something that I guess is okay.
[31:01] Oh no, I think it could not go in the space, because we would have problems ADA compliance things.
[31:08] But we've been looking for ways to building up the poor, especially in a nice weather.
[31:12] Yeah. So that's a great idea because it's so easy to put that out there.
[31:16] Do you think that's what it's like?
[31:18] Can't watch that back door.
[31:20] No, I mean, it's especially that's going to be where the travel panel is.
[31:25] Yeah. No, I would either just put it out there or on the phone.
[31:29] It's certainly visible. That's where our guests come in and out.
[31:31] That's where they come in and out.
[31:32] Yeah. Yeah. So I think that's a lovely idea.
[31:38] Okay, time your card contest, which I sent out all the information in the flyer to everyone so you can take a look see.
[31:46] So chat is supplying the extra materials needed for your contact, which we've already purchased.
[31:58] And you had mentioned that maybe the stickers on those supplies, but we at this point don't really have check stickers.
[32:04] And those supplies have been distributed and this is already underway, so that's the year.
[32:10] Yeah.
[32:10] So these are the campuses.
[32:13] Are these going really hard to find it?
[32:16] And then it comes with the paint pens and the paint pods and then the instructions.
[32:23] So we handed out a couple of quality happenings and then, but otherwise, they need to register before.
[32:28] They pick up the kit so that we know the results.
[32:31] Yeah.
[32:31] Yeah, I'll pack it around.
[32:33] All right, and they have a choice.
[32:34] They can do the pens or the paint.
[32:38] And the library's closed this week, so we're,
[32:42] it is turning them for them.
[32:45] This is what you, yes.
[32:47] So is it related to everyone?
[32:48] OK, so if you scan that, you are a code that will take you
[32:51] to full directions on how the contest works.
[32:55] And so far, there are 43 people registered.
[32:58] Oh, no, it's still good.
[33:08] So, we were talking about, well, you're going to probably get there about the reception day,
[33:13] et cetera.
[33:14] And when you open, okay, thank you for that, because I have to figure out how to display those safely
[33:21] and get them back, right?
[33:23] Yeah.
[33:23] So, that how I thought they were going to be the little box canvases.
[33:28] I don't know, but it's all sort of a little bit of a deal.
[33:34] But that's great.
[33:35] We have extra candidates to keep you going.
[33:38] Yeah, I would like to get that. Thank you.
[33:41] You're so tiny. I feel like you've been like museum waxing.
[33:44] Sikred and so on.
[33:45] Yeah, I just, you know, I don't want them to disappear.
[33:49] So it's the guy to be hard enough to get off the panels.
[33:52] Right.
[33:52] But it's easy enough to not send them back with Google all over the back of them.
[33:57] I'm looking at the clip, I had the same issue, if it was the thing, you couldn't clip it, you know, like we thought about the paper, but with this you can do, you can display it, really easy.
[34:10] I think they did say some people make things clear, that was one thing that granted that time.
[34:15] And they felt dulled on top of that because they do.
[34:19] Well, unfortunately, we were able to see all the entries before.
[34:23] I have to figure it out.
[34:24] That's the good news because it goes up in what, like,
[34:28] and it's January 22nd.
[34:30] Yeah.
[34:30] So we'll have time to develop.
[34:33] Yes.
[34:33] So the library will have to move this way first.
[34:35] I think that.
[34:36] Are they starting the back?
[34:37] I don't know who is the zoos.
[34:39] Are they starting the back?
[34:41] Are they starting the back?
[34:41] Are they starting the back?
[34:41] I don't know.
[34:42] They might as well have some systems.
[34:44] There is an instruction thing.
[34:47] So you may not be able to read.
[34:49] There is some sort of standard sticker that I want to back.
[34:51] So this is a tournament.
[34:53] This is the way we go on the back.
[34:54] This is there for everyone in this program.
[34:57] So they definitely have their system of how it works.
[35:02] Let's talk about the reception.
[35:04] Do we know where that will be?
[35:07] We don't have a date, but the plan is to have it before the calendar comes out.
[35:13] We usually get that out.
[35:16] Our calendar is an event calendar, so it runs may through April.
[35:20] So we usually distribute them in April.
[35:22] So ideally we can time it for the changing of the November,
[35:28] I mean the April hours of the museum.
[35:30] So I was kind of thinking about that because that doesn't happen until the end of the beginning of May.
[35:39] And so the challenge has been with these spring events, schools, all of that going on.
[35:46] So I was wondering if we shouldn't push it back even more so that it's an earlier and April before all the end of the school stop is starting to happen.
[35:55] plus the the crash show which uses up track resources you know come later in spring
[36:03] so I'm just kind of trying to if the show closes in mid-march you know could we get it up
[36:08] by early April. The show's done in January and I mean there's no days of play at the library
[36:16] through March 12 right so that's I'm saying then there's that window where we get it over here
[36:21] I don't, I'm just concerned about, as May comes, everybody in Czech is busy with the
[36:30] sea, the seaside craft show, we start to get busy in general, so that's why I was thinking
[36:36] if it made more sense, plus the kids, to have it earlier in April, rather than wait till
[36:43] So I don't know what the problem is being held or might be done.
[36:49] We only need to be made able for safer.
[36:54] Usually we're waiting for that thing to come by the end of April.
[36:57] Just to get it out in time.
[36:58] So I think mid-Avo is a sustainable day.
[37:05] But, I mean, again, this is Jack also because this is like a group of efforts.
[37:13] So, Easter is April 5th, so that we can't do it then.
[37:17] Right.
[37:17] And then, following we got to that spring breaks for schools.
[37:21] So, for a lot of students.
[37:22] So, you had that thing that you was probably the best time,
[37:25] based on Easter and school breaks.
[37:29] It's a clear five.
[37:30] What are we talking about planning?
[37:34] The opening reception for the tiny art show.
[37:39] It's for the participants.
[37:39] So we're going to display them in the gallery downstairs in town hall museum and then have a reception for a family's in the entrance in the town hall.
[37:53] Okay, got you.
[37:56] So our part in that is really to be there is representing chat.
[38:02] Be the host.
[38:03] Right, so.
[38:07] Okay, I'm doing a bit more.
[38:08] Well, I'm going to do this.
[38:09] I can get the exhibit up any time after March.
[38:14] And since the reception will be here, it really doesn't involve the museum at all.
[38:19] So that's a good thing.
[38:22] I think most of the resource for this comes from right here, which is pretty much the least
[38:25] of these guys.
[38:27] I mean, is that you're dealing with the reception that it will really be more staff-supported
[38:33] here, you know. Honestly, we haven't gotten that far.
[38:40] We've gone new to us, too, right?
[38:41] All right, well, let's keep talking.
[38:44] Again, that's what I said to Carol about fire and ice.
[38:48] I just is a specific list of what involvement, you know,
[38:52] as the museum has to have many of this.
[38:55] If it's just getting up the show,
[38:57] and I can do that any time after it comes down at the library.
[39:01] And we talked about doing this, this is going to be our April cultural, or not culturally, but spring event.
[39:11] So that really pulls it out of doing anything at the museum extra, which is good.
[39:17] I mean, we can certainly be an opportunity to have a table here, set up the table in the reception area and have more of the same.
[39:26] You know, it just has like a template of when we go places here's what Jack has on the table.
[39:31] Yeah, we'll set everything up in the council room.
[39:34] This weather reception is going to be.
[39:37] So you'll keep us a little.
[39:39] Yes.
[39:40] All right.
[39:42] Culturally things.
[39:44] So I don't know who had the opportunity to get to the last one, which was very, very good.
[39:50] Dr. Hattier spoke about the World War II powers that are on the beach.
[39:54] was very, very good. So, after the program, I waited because I wanted to speak to him
[40:00] the extent him for coming, tell him how much I enjoy his program, and to ask him if,
[40:06] because he didn't charge anything to come and do that, if there was, could we make a donation
[40:11] to Fort Miles? And so he said, yes, we could. Got to touch with Julie as to what,
[40:17] where exactly we should send it. And so we made a $200 donation to his charity for that,
[40:24] which is very good.
[40:26] The March culture we didn't, we don't have several of yet.
[40:31] Kind of where are we with that?
[40:36] The fee that we offered,
[40:38] the Ben Frank, the main actor,
[40:42] needs to be doubled.
[40:44] Oh, well.
[40:46] So, and if you were to bring a,
[40:50] that's your raw, double that.
[40:52] Okay.
[40:53] So we'll probably have to come up with another solution, which I did run this by Elaine to
[41:02] and you mentioned this to you too because Mrs. Dinker, who will be with us on Saturday,
[41:09] is obviously an actress, some clear space, who had mentioned when I met her and spoke with her,
[41:15] that she also does famous women.
[41:19] And since March is women's history month, I'm thinking perhaps, you know, someone else that can come with her and we'll talk about what famous women they can
[41:30] portray for cultural evening.
[41:33] If anybody else has other suggestions, of course, as always, please, you know, the suggestions are always welcome Claire.
[41:38] I was just going to say, following on Mrs. Daker, when we'll get the same person, but you do not, a famous woman, but a famous woman from deafening.
[41:47] So that there's that other tie back to Bethany and Bethany's history.
[41:51] So I don't know whether we do the first lifeguard or, again, there's lots of people
[41:56] that we probably could pick to do, or we pick somebody from the museum, like one of the owners,
[42:04] like hi-de-me, or, you know, somebody's a great idea, what does everybody think about that?
[42:09] It's called Shirley, and it ties the wall to the 125th of Bethany, and there we could do it on a further
[42:15] tie-ins, she's like Delaware and country. It can be kind of a kick-off for like this celebration.
[42:23] Yeah, I think she's the one that sounded like a character. I remember, but we can pick one of them.
[42:29] And we could write another story about it. We could create a character for made-meast on like the
[42:36] or interview, you know, the owner, so.
[42:41] When was it that we can talk to nag about that Saturday?
[42:45] Okay, he's going to do it.
[42:47] She's going to be in this.
[42:48] Yeah.
[42:49] Yeah, we can easily just like craft some sort of story
[42:51] that she can do a lot of.
[42:54] The Saturday's just going to be, I don't know, people seem to be coming.
[42:57] I don't want to hear anything more about Jack.
[42:59] But this is just going to be so great.
[43:02] She's terrific.
[43:03] She brought her costume that she'll be wearing or clothing and I was telling us the story.
[43:08] We did walk around the museum just filling her in on stories that we now know about from, you know,
[43:15] having done research for these, all these years on the museum.
[43:18] But you always find something new with that museum.
[43:22] So I think it'll be great and we'll see.
[43:25] So we can talk to her on Saturday and we can go from there and see if that would work out.
[43:30] It's a great idea, Claire.
[43:36] Um, we're leaving here.
[43:37] We are on the Bethany Beach, 125th anniversary.
[43:42] And we will be doing the town hall display,
[43:46] Claire and Paula already volunteered to do that.
[43:49] Is there anybody else that could volunteer to help with that?
[43:53] I think the last time, and I think I even said that in email,
[43:56] it was the timeline, historical milestones,
[44:00] which I retipe and sent it out, so I didn't have my notes all over initially.
[44:06] So would be nice if somebody else could...
[44:10] At the time when did you think about it?
[44:12] No, I think that's true.
[44:13] Of me.
[44:23] So just jumping in for the display purposes.
[44:27] So the historic milestones are the start of the 125 years, right?
[44:37] So, what would be most helpful, should I look through that and see what I can pull from
[44:44] the collection or are you still developing the idea of, okay, what's, you know, this decade,
[44:50] what are the top three things?
[44:53] You know, keeping in mind the space we have in the cases and, you know, you know, you know,
[45:00] I don't think we've met, right? Okay, okay, I don't think we've met, right? Okay, about this. Yeah, I don't mean a new member.
[45:09] I'm like, I said, what?
[45:12] Should I go through the concept again?
[45:16] God, we just did it, we just did it in front of that cell that cell when you're available.
[45:19] Okay, I mean, feel free to, as you're imagining and, you know, the history feel free to shoot me out emails and say, you know,
[45:29] land, do we have something like this? We're looking for the biggest, that's like the storm of 62,
[45:35] of course, we have pictures of that. That's something of that decade you want to include,
[45:40] but really looking for decade chunks, and they would have to be maybe three top things of that
[45:47] decade that kind of identifies the big, big, big stuff. Significant things.
[45:54] are you basically building out the visual timelines that we're doing?
[45:58] Yes, using the collection and pictures and then what we can do, how I envision it on each shelf is if using two cases that gives us two decades per shelf and some wiggle room as well.
[46:15] So there would be sort of a quick recap of this was the quiet, this was the Warriors, this was the quiet decade.
[46:23] You know, we can name them, we don't have to name them, but if there's a significant sort
[46:27] of thing that feels like we'd be that decade, a short description of what happened in that
[46:33] decade, and then we'd have the opportunity to put captions on the actual objects that we
[46:40] pull. And so I'll work with you if there's something really important I'll take through and
[46:45] see what we have, what we can find. If you come up with four or five things, we'll work with
[46:52] You know, but that's kind of looking at space. I can go to a third case as well if we really really need to
[47:00] Which gives us the four more shells
[47:04] And we can do the math
[47:05] No, we've got eight shells. I'll age eight shells and actually 16 so we only need 12 decades and we've got 16 slots that I can
[47:22] you know, eight, eight shells split in two. So two decades per shell. So it's not a lot of space.
[47:29] Yeah, I was just going to say two decades. I think back to your structure kind of follows ideal.
[47:34] Like how much do you have? If you have an idea that we can decide, right, how many cases do we have?
[47:39] So the earlier decades we have very little. So that's why I was thinking, well, we can actually do 1901, which is the official start of that.
[47:51] each through 19, 20, definitely, maybe even a half a shelf because not, we don't have
[48:00] a lot.
[48:01] So it has to come from the question.
[48:04] I'll leave that to you if it's, if there's something important that we don't have the
[48:09] collection, that's fine, I'll break pull out something else from that time.
[48:13] Just as long as it's more important that we get what you feel is the salient information
[48:19] from each decade, and then I'll think I can see what we have that we can work together on how do we do this.
[48:27] But it'd be really nice to pull out as much as we can from the collection.
[48:31] It doesn't have to, like, like, like, four years. I mean, we could have an article, like, more generic about.
[48:37] We can, but we have a lot of, yes, but at the point I could find something if we really needed to illustrate something.
[48:44] But I would think the significant things we've got something in the collection.
[48:47] I mean, the war, I was thinking, World War I, exactly, I mean, that's what you got in there.
[48:53] We could think about topics too, but what would a visitor's have done, and what would
[48:58] love something in the world, so, again, I think it's Bethany's history, what makes sense for
[49:06] for Bethany. And do we know any more about the census about how many full-time residents
[49:12] Yeah, I think if he likes a ton of information that I don't think we've broadcast yet because, you know,
[49:22] the, but I will, I can upload that to the Google Drive and share it with you.
[49:28] I think I did send that out, didn't I?
[49:30] Yeah, did you?
[49:31] I think you said so.
[49:32] Yeah.
[49:33] It was just what I had.
[49:35] Yeah.
[49:36] There's only the 19th.
[49:37] It was the 19th.
[49:38] It was only the one.
[49:39] Oh no.
[49:39] I know I share there's he's got I think from 1950 he've done census information and links and things like that
[49:48] So I'll make sure I'll make sure I just I gather all that and share it with you because it's it did really great great research
[49:56] If you want additional help to look think it through this, let me know
[49:59] Okay, I noticed that it's not here, is the loop canal, okay, which is pretty, like it's important, yeah, it is really, yeah, the bladder damage to that.
[50:19] Okay, can you go for a quick look at that back on there?
[50:22] And as you, you guys need, if you come up with some thoughts and ideas, just with loop, me and I, or I can sit down with you, and we can really just brainstorm.
[50:31] doing one time at the end, and this is to go up on in July, no, we should really have this
[50:43] at the end of January, that's what I started talking about it.
[50:47] Yeah, I mean, because it's the 125, I mean we can push it to February, but it should go
[50:53] early in the year because it's the whole year, it's the unit.
[51:00] Okay, cool.
[51:02] And Vic goes up.
[51:04] How's the art going?
[51:06] Are you going to take down?
[51:07] That's cases.
[51:08] Everything's going to be in the cases for this exhibit.
[51:12] The art tiny art show is going to be on the flanking two or four panels on either side of the cases.
[51:20] and we'll swap out to the great handles, so that's what we're going to use and that.
[51:27] Yeah, so it would be great because the tiny art show is all about your impressions or of Bethany.
[51:37] Yeah, and fire nice, our ice is going to be relevant to that also.
[51:42] Right, so I'd like to...
[51:49] seeing graphic ban, or that's 125 years of Bethany Beach,
[51:53] 215 years of the USA, like really, really doing it up,
[51:57] so that it's sort of a whole-femed area in the town hall.
[52:02] We have to move to the park this evening.
[52:04] I'm all okay.
[52:07] I'm here.
[52:09] Two states, one states, and five.
[52:11] Two states, and one states, and five.
[52:12] Yeah, okay.
[52:15] Okay, another thing we had talked about was a humor to learn it.
[52:20] Yeah, so if you recall, this is what I suggested, this is a through Etsy, I already
[52:29] made ornament, but using the 4th of July artwork from last summer, just pinpoints
[52:37] all the icons of Bethany, but I asked him if he could replace the bandstand and the tabernacle,
[52:45] and say he could, and it was just a nominal fee to do that.
[52:48] So it's just matter of deciding if we want to do that, or if we want to go another route and change the design
[53:01] We can now it's not going to be ready for this year obviously because they're in a crunch. It's peak season.
[53:07] So we can do it and it's fine for next year because it's been kind of remembered for the entire year.
[53:11] So we could just add, change it up, use a standard design.
[53:20] And the cost is going to be about $13 per ornament.
[53:25] So we have to decide what the quantity would be,
[53:28] and then how would I move it forward?
[53:31] But she said, let's get me a bright end.
[53:33] We can't do it now, because I'm, you know,
[53:35] we're ahead with Christmas, but after she'd be happy to.
[53:38] Is there like a number that gets to a lower price point or is it doesn't matter?
[53:44] I'm sure she could give us a discount.
[53:46] But if she's doing these.
[53:48] Maybe the conversation is there minimum that you can order.
[53:51] Yeah, I'm not sure, because I wanted to know first of all,
[53:54] she could do it.
[53:55] And then we'll, with the fee, because her site just shows,
[53:58] already made ornaments.
[53:59] But she said she would consider that.
[54:01] I don't know.
[54:02] That would drive how many doors.
[54:03] If there's no, if there's like no minimum,
[54:05] And you just order a few in order more and later when you need more?
[54:10] But if there is a certain minimum, that would.
[54:15] Is there a place maybe a couple in the museum?
[54:22] I mean, we could look at it.
[54:25] Yeah.
[54:25] As long as it's a little ornaments, if you don't want to jump in too much.
[54:28] I was thinking because the July 4th usually covers the town sort of highlights that it makes a lot of sense.
[54:38] I think Jack is going to just like the other ornaments, right?
[54:43] The Jack is going to sponsor it because you'll get the revenue.
[54:49] But that it's a sort of commemorative thing.
[54:52] And it's historical.
[54:53] Yeah.
[54:54] That's an age 120 to fifth.
[54:57] Yeah.
[54:58] I didn't see it yet, but I'm assuming there would be some sort of language 125.
[55:02] Yeah.
[55:02] I think that Monday showed that, right?
[55:04] Yes.
[55:05] Yeah, it does have, well, it looks like 25 and I think it should be, yeah, it's 125, and I just did it.
[55:13] They're competing at certain care, will there be a possibility to sell these in conjunction with the 4th of July parade?
[55:21] With it with their T-shirts as a as a maybe additional funding source to help them as well.
[55:26] So thinking of like during the summer, they're selling T-shirts in the Bayon Stain, if we can sell these along with the T-shirts and let the 4th of July committee take the
[55:35] of the proceeds from that, and that are sold with the t-shirts, just among them.
[55:42] So, you want us to sell you one of those, they get the proceeds to do this.
[55:46] So, when the Fourth of the Jocality is selling their t-shirts out on the Manstand, allow them
[55:52] or help them sell these in addition to the t-shirts so that they can get some four additional
[55:58] proceeds for the Fourth of the Jocality.
[56:01] or share or share because I think because it would we wouldn't otherwise sell them at the same time as the Fourth of July committee selling their teachers.
[56:11] We wouldn't want to let go.
[56:12] No, no, I think they're good.
[56:14] I definitely, it's like definitely the season of the craft show and definitely the museum and definitely in town hall.
[56:20] People love these ornaments.
[56:21] We've spoken about that before.
[56:23] Well, people come up and say to us, well, what's your name for this year?
[56:26] What's your name?
[56:29] I guess my only thought was, I don't think it would be nice of to essentially step on the 4th of July in these toes by selling these at the same time they're selling t-shirts because someone may buy an ornament instead of buying a t-shirt.
[56:44] Well, we could think about that, but everybody has a private card and now we can all take private cards.
[56:49] So I think if you want an ornament for whatever it is, whenever 15 or 20 dollars.
[56:55] And I was only talking about just during the 4th of July, but we were not selling the T-shirts.
[56:59] Well, we probably wouldn't be up there selling these with the 4th of July volunteers to sell T-shirts.
[57:06] I mean, I wouldn't think we would be because that's really for them to sell their shirts.
[57:11] And I think now that they have credit cards, you get a lot more sales.
[57:15] And yeah, we have a deal with the fire company that they're not allowed to sell their shirts.
[57:20] So we're finished with our shirts.
[57:22] They used to sell them up there, didn't they?
[57:24] I was thinking like in addition anything we do to subordinate just to we could order more of these and let the poor the July
[57:30] The jolly committee sell these as well. That's all or are there places to put a table
[57:37] We put a jack table like a private July
[57:41] It's every event, so it's a lot of volunteer nation. Yeah, that's why I said we don't have to do it
[57:47] Let them do it. I think that would be hard to do it. I think we're okay
[57:51] selling them at the Xecide Craft Show for sure.
[57:55] And in the museum, where we already have them,
[57:58] and in town hall where we already have them.
[58:00] Because they are, people do like to have ornaments.
[58:03] They do.
[58:04] I'm sorry, it's just one thing.
[58:05] And for China, which ideas and maybe we change it up,
[58:11] and only have one or two things in each year.
[58:13] And we're going to do this every year.
[58:15] But it seems like there should be one simple thing
[58:16] that says, this is what Chuck is.
[58:19] Yes, there's a lot of other things.
[58:20] But is it really the museum or is it the trolley or is it like all those other things or is
[58:27] Is it the museum that should be like a little thing like up of what do they call them an an Easter egg?
[58:34] They're should be an Easter egg and everyone has the little
[58:37] Sure of the
[58:40] Digger museum
[58:40] And whatever it is that we're doing that then that runs through if you're starting something new
[58:45] That's why even the table, you know the table cloth there should be just that little Easter egg
[58:54] I just wanted to clarify, so this image is kind of what would be here, and then the wording would still be the Bethany Beach 120, but like all of that information would still be on that.
[59:05] Yeah, so I think it's great.
[59:09] I mean, if I think the idea of the tabernacle being in their really screen history to a rather than those newer things.
[59:17] So, you know, I just, I think is a stand-alone product for this year, for the, the 125 to 50.
[59:27] I think it's great. I don't, you know, wherever we sell it, whatever.
[59:31] It's a great sort of, I still don't like that.
[59:34] Can you see that?
[59:35] Yeah.
[59:36] My only feeling is that because it's sort of a cross-the-board celebration,
[59:43] I don't think people recognize the Dinker Irving Museum as a building and so to put a little sign on there
[59:50] I just think it would be a hard cell where the tabernacle is sort of this really well known history
[59:56] But again, whatever you decide, I think it's a great product. Don't be already
[1:00:00] We have one speaker. We have one speaker. But again, if it's 125 and you're talking in the digger of in-house from 1901, it goes through that whole stay and I'm time. I just think that's an important comment. If they don't know, then maybe this is our opportunity to start letting people know that this isn't icon as well.
[1:00:22] Kathy, what do you have?
[1:00:24] Well, the easier you can make a proposal by and the better.
[1:00:30] And I don't know if this has been done before, but could they be for sale?
[1:00:33] Here it comes all at work.
[1:00:35] Okay.
[1:00:35] Okay.
[1:00:36] They are.
[1:00:37] Yeah.
[1:00:38] There's always going to be.
[1:00:40] You can always get it here.
[1:00:41] Yes.
[1:00:41] Which you always want.
[1:00:42] Because you've seen some.
[1:00:43] Yes.
[1:00:44] You've seen some.
[1:00:45] It's always open.
[1:00:46] Right.
[1:00:47] Right.
[1:00:48] to be of a number of how many years old last year, for 20, for 25 of me.
[1:00:55] Just a moment, please.
[1:00:58] I think you're going to have to be into the numbers.
[1:01:00] I think you have a lot of interest in it.
[1:01:02] That's why I say the more visible it can be that it exists.
[1:01:10] Especially, I think it's a very valuable purchase.
[1:01:12] That's great.
[1:01:14] ornaments in general, so it's, you know, we have town hall and thinker Irving, those are the
[1:01:22] units remaining.
[1:01:23] So this year, so far, very little have been sold, but you know, it's, and this goes from
[1:01:31] last January, 12 thinker Irving and 15 town hall ornaments.
[1:01:39] Yes, we probably could have been sort of 50.
[1:01:42] But I think this year, I don't know what I think this might,
[1:01:46] from if the shirt is in the indication of how fast he's went,
[1:01:50] I'm sure this would go fast, awesome.
[1:01:57] Yeah, and I would just advocate getting it done in the latest
[1:02:01] in the spring so that it is ready for the summer season.
[1:02:05] Oh, I, I would get this done in January, so she's done her rush.
[1:02:07] Yeah, you have them.
[1:02:09] Because it goes along with the whole idea,
[1:02:10] we're pushing, stirring January, the whole scene, great, the 125 and 250.
[1:02:16] Was there anybody having the band set on there?
[1:02:20] You'd rather have the Tibernacle on there.
[1:02:23] On the ornament covered up.
[1:02:24] I have very Tibernacle.
[1:02:27] I think for history purposes, Tibernacle.
[1:02:30] Now, when the band's in, creates none of the milestone,
[1:02:34] and that's something to go to.
[1:02:35] That's an historical milestone.
[1:02:38] is the, for the July Parade, we can find out when the dances start, I had no idea what that is.
[1:02:46] How this adorable is the trolley?
[1:02:49] In my lifetime, I feel like that happened when I was in...
[1:02:55] You know, I'll mention it in the whole school, because when I started writing the trolley, it was last year.
[1:03:13] It was definitely like in my, or put the, it wasn't when I was, how am I supposed to be the Charlie's, and then put the museum in the background, where you were going to put the top apple.
[1:03:26] I mean, for me, the Charlie is, it's fun if people recognize it, but I'm not sure how this door goes.
[1:03:31] Well, the idea is the progression.
[1:03:34] Yeah, it's 125 years since the town's been started.
[1:03:38] So, these are all elements that have contributed to the iconic landmark.
[1:03:45] So we're designing this for the town.
[1:03:48] I guess maybe that's where I think it is.
[1:03:49] Well, Jack is here in the town.
[1:03:52] So, it doesn't shake, it doesn't count on it, it doesn't.
[1:03:57] Well, that helps.
[1:04:00] It says, oh, oh, but it's 10 to that maybe.
[1:04:03] Right, so that, so then.
[1:04:04] Is that what I'm talking about?
[1:04:06] Yeah.
[1:04:06] But that's the whole point.
[1:04:08] The town has been here around 20 years.
[1:04:10] Exactly.
[1:04:10] It's right.
[1:04:11] It's right.
[1:04:11] So that's what we're commemorating.
[1:04:14] Yeah.
[1:04:16] I think having an iconic, the tabernacle, such an iconic,
[1:04:21] and foundational building that that would be enough to kind of put that in there instead of the modern building and then you see, you know, other iconic things that through the years and it broadens the audience.
[1:04:35] Yeah. So is the town going to have a different one that has the bandstand?
[1:04:39] No, this is the orange.
[1:04:41] I'm saying for when the bandstand turns out this right milestone and that could be a commemorative warning to.
[1:04:47] Yeah.
[1:04:47] Okay.
[1:04:47] That's history.
[1:04:48] Okay, I'm still going to stand by you need to get the, but they're clear to your point.
[1:04:53] So this is for this particular event, this 2026,
[1:04:58] come next to the following year, 2027,
[1:05:02] Chuck could do another specific ornament to Chuck.
[1:05:07] So that's, that this is like our test testing water
[1:05:12] and it really does, I think, encompass all visitors,
[1:05:16] you know, and all the reasons that the cultural reasons as well.
[1:05:21] So I think to your point, this sort of, there's a theme every year of the ornament.
[1:05:25] This year's theme is commemorating the town's 125th anniversary
[1:05:29] and all the iconography that's there next year could be like commemorating
[1:05:35] an real estate history in the town, and that could have...
[1:05:40] I mean, it challenged...
[1:05:41] I don't disagree.
[1:05:42] I'm just trying to say that if you're that to me, the museum is part of the iconic
[1:05:47] history of the town that and not just the museum but the representation of that house
[1:05:53] as how people came and founded and starting from the beginning.
[1:05:58] That's all.
[1:05:58] And I'm fine with doing it in 257, saying if you're going to do 125 years, it seems like
[1:06:03] that house is an important.
[1:06:04] But I think the tabernacle is one of the...
[1:06:09] I have no substitute for the tabernacle. I substitute for the
[1:06:13] person. But I say in lieu of the house. That is the landmark that
[1:06:19] I would put it in somewhere else. I would add it to not subtract the
[1:06:23] one. Right, but I'm saying I agree with what you're saying. But I think
[1:06:27] the tabernacle is representative of that time period and of the first
[1:06:33] people who came in the settlers of that. Because that's why they came
[1:06:38] for the church, they were part of that opportunity.
[1:06:43] So, they established the town based on their organization.
[1:06:48] Sort of.
[1:06:49] Half of.
[1:06:50] Yeah.
[1:06:50] Was it investment as well?
[1:06:53] Yeah.
[1:06:53] It was all about.
[1:06:54] It was all about.
[1:06:55] It was all about.
[1:06:55] Is there a minimum amount we need to order for these.
[1:06:59] I will find them.
[1:07:00] Okay.
[1:07:02] All right.
[1:07:03] Great.
[1:07:08] A couple of minutes and first of all, the C-side graph show committee, which has since 2005,
[1:07:17] the subcommittee of cultural historical affairs committee, is now a town committee on a
[1:07:23] zone, a standing committee of its own. Paula, Paula White, is chairing that committee.
[1:07:30] And it will still be our fundraising, our most depending upon it to give us the funds we need
[1:07:37] to do our projects, programs, and events.
[1:07:41] So we'll be, as always, looking to help with that.
[1:07:47] Also, the other thing I wanted to mention was,
[1:07:50] we have dedicated the plaque for the Women's City Club
[1:07:53] of Bethany Beach.
[1:07:55] We did that on Thursday, December 4th, over to the plaque
[1:08:00] is located right in front of the twinning sign.
[1:08:04] It's really turned out nice.
[1:08:05] It was covered, it had a nice red bow on it for them to come on days and his wife came.
[1:08:11] I was there once there.
[1:08:14] So it was very nice because we had representatives from Czech and they represented some
[1:08:18] town council and the ladies were very pleased, but it's several of their past presidents
[1:08:24] who also came.
[1:08:26] So it was very nice and I think they appreciated everything we had done, the plaque and the poster
[1:08:33] that Elaine thought we would make, and which we did, which they love, as well as the display that's still in town hall.
[1:08:39] I will be there for the end of the year.
[1:08:43] And that is really, does anybody else have anything you'd like to share, bring out basketball?
[1:08:52] Okay, so that our next meeting will be January the 13th at 10,
[1:09:02] and if someone would please
[1:09:03] make a motion to adjourn, I'm clear, thank you, they're second, thank you, thank you everyone.
