[9:10] no or slash BM. I I don't know. They're they're revisiting that to see

[9:19] what they're going to do. Nothing. It sounds like I was told that

[9:25] it was, but they've kind of went back a little bit. So, we'll see what they come

[9:33] and then street lights, there's a conflict, I guess, with a street lights.

[9:40] So, as mentioned last month, um, we do have the ability to purchase our own

[9:46] street lights. Um, we can still put them on a tariff.

[9:51] There's different levels of tariffs. We can still tariff them like we do the

[9:55] lights that we currently pay tariffs on. They just wouldn't service those lights,

[10:00] which is I mean, we're doing that out here. We're doing that downtown.

[10:06] The only difference is is they told me we had to meter them out, but we don't

[10:10] have a meter. So I may try and have meters removed

[10:15] um and just pay a tariff all the money as opposed to a meter bill. So working

[10:41] I I was at a meeting, met with a couple different companies that have the

[10:46] ability to scan the force man. How that would work is you would you would drop a

[10:52] ball, actually three balls into the pipe and pump it to burn. It would scan the

[11:00] pipe. It would tell you condition of pipe if there's sediment in it. It would

[11:04] tell you those narrow areas. It would tell you if there's an air pocket.

[11:08] So, I'm going to be reaching out to them and seeing what kind of cost that would

[11:14] entail. And hopefully come next board meeting, I'll have some numbers. The one

[11:20] company um the balls that they have are um they're probably a tennis ball size

[11:28] maybe, but they weren't recommended for our size of pipe. the other company has

[11:32] a smaller ball that's it's smaller than a golf ball that um they would put in

[11:39] there. So, so we'll see what comes of that. But it is very promising. I'm glad

[11:44] that there's something out there. I've been trying to find that option for

[11:48] quite some time. So, we will still blow off into the semi-truck. We did put our

[11:53] our clean off pit in down. We just have not we have not done that

[12:00] yet. as far as to try and blow the ditch just to see see if we help ourselves

[12:06] there. Um, still probably is a good idea whether we push a bunch of junk out or

[12:12] not to add one at every ditch just to give us the ability to clean it out and

[12:18] keep better tabs on the forest man. The further the further you go south, the

[12:24] less flow you get, so more opportunity for settlement. Um but but we'll take it

[12:32] a step at a time like we have been and we're finally finally getting somewhere

[12:36] with it. So that's very good. Um and then

[12:41] the sewer rates um looking into that a little bit further.

[12:46] Um we did see some promising information going through

[12:51] um the fund reports and things. So, we're

[12:56] just going to ride for a little bit, look into it a little deeper, make sure

[13:04] Um, working on the storm water uh with the

[13:12] um Christopher Burke and the Mommy River Basin Commission. That's progressing. We

[13:18] got a couple different meetings set up with them here in the next week or so.

[13:22] One will be a team's meeting, one will be onsite. So

[13:29] that that has gotten started and we should start seeing some of their people

[13:34] around doing what they do. Um

[13:42] then I know I sent you guys an email regarding

[13:48] the issues that we see on the west side of town.

[13:52] um full lift station when it rains. Uh not quite sure what's going on at all.

[13:58] Like I I I don't want to point the finger, but it appears like it's some

[14:02] pumps, but we've we've done the in initial inspection. We've had everything

[14:07] removed. The next part would maybe be to

[14:11] reinspect and do some die testing on some pumps. pull down spouts, make sure

[14:17] the down spouts are removed and left out of the ground until we can prove

[14:24] there's got to be proof that they're not going to the sewer or tied into a sewer.

[14:29] So, so I think that would be the next step. Uh the best course of action to do

[14:36] that kind of investigation would be to put together

[14:39] a uh a job requirement per se that we

[14:45] could hand out to people interested in bidding on a project like that and then

[14:51] seeing what kind of numbers come in and and hire it out that way. We did third

[14:56] party before. It worked out very well. We we got all of our information, but

[15:02] something still just is not something's went backwards a little bit.

[15:27] to do like a two-phase sewer project. So,

[15:32] they accepted the lining project as a phase one and the and then we paid out

[15:38] of pocket for the sump pump inspections. We had huge results.

[15:54] working, but now things seem to be going backwards and it's going to have to be

[19:48] the county. We did our EMA um disaster preparedness tabletop last week. It went

[19:55] really well. It was well attended. Um people really pay attention. I thought

[19:59] it was really worthwhile. So we completed that and that's that's done

[20:03] for the year. Um EMA did give me a they sent me an email.

[20:09] They asked me to talk to you about the sirens. Um there's some things going on

[20:15] with the sirens and you might say a little bit more.

[20:19] Stew. Um, but the county right now has $8,000

[20:23] set aside for the sirens for replacement and repair, which is not a lot when it

[20:27] comes to those sums. They're getting older. They're super expensive. Um, so

[20:32] there's there's talk about how we're going to handle it in the future.

[20:36] » And one of the ideas is that EMA will remain owners of the sign, but the towns

[20:42] where they're placed will help with the maintenance fees of those sirens. So,

[20:47] here in the town of Monroe, there's one siren. Uh, it's currently out of the

[20:51] county highway garage. Um, but if that plane goes through, then the town of

[20:57] Monroe will be responsible for the maintenance of that sign or siren,

[21:01] excuse me. Um, they're hoping that their tech, the person that's maintains them

[21:07] now, will still do the actual work for the town will just be responsible for

[21:10] the bill. I don't know what that price is going to be. Um, they don't have a

[21:14] set price yet, but they just ask us to bring it to your attention so whenever

[21:18] we talk about it again in the future that it's not a blind side to you.

[22:44] when it goes off when they're inside. And that's not what it's intended for.

[22:48] It's intended for you to hear when you're outside, like if you're out in

[22:51] the yard working or or pick up leaves or whatever, you know, I don't know. But

[22:54] it's not meant to be heard when you're inside. It's meant to be heard when

[22:57] you're outside to alert you. So by their studies, yes, everybody within the

[23:02] corporation can hear that. They had a study done.

[23:11] Megan those heat. But whenever we had our last

[23:16] uh tornado warning, it was going off and I could hear it outside.

[24:36] So, I'm hopeful that that will integrate into the siren system and just be that

[24:43] you're in the house or whatever and you can't hear the siren. It'll be that uh

[24:47] additional early warning that uh that will be personalized to Adams County and

[24:53] it'll be geocoded. So, if you're inside the county, you'll get the alert. If

[24:56] you're not, you won't. Okay. And there's still ongoing discussion,

[25:01] you know, about the sirens because there there are some small towns like us that

[25:05] small towns and small communities, I guess, countywide that are getting rid

[25:08] of their sirens because everything's so electronic, right, with the app. You

[25:12] know, people pay more attention to an app than they will siren. You know, a

[25:16] lot of these younger people may not even know what the siren means when it goes

[25:19] off, right? But it's all over the TV. It's all over your cell phone. It's all

[25:22] over the radio. So, you know, the question is, are the sirens still really

[25:26] needed? You know, maybe for us in the community like we have for a lot of

[25:30] Amish that aren't strong with electronics, maybe it is beneficial for

[25:35] them. So, right now, we're going to stay that way. We're going to stay with the

[25:39] sirens and keep them going. And we may even add a couple, but um what I'm

[25:44] bringing to you is that there may be a cost for the siren coming up.
