[2:47]
Good afternoon everyone and welcome to August 20th Special Counsel
[2:50]
Meeting. I may have love it and I'll be sharing
[2:51]
today's meeting. Today's council meeting is being video live streamed
[2:55]
and the video recording will be made available online. I
[2:58]
would like to call the meeting to order with our
[3:01]
land acknowledgement, town Witcher Sowell acknowledges this land is the
[3:04]
treaty territory of the William Streety First Nations. It's also
[3:07]
the traditional territory of other Anashdowic peoples, the wind at
[3:10]
Nahonushoni. We also recognise the contributions of all indigenous peoples
[3:14]
to this place and we commit to a continued dialogue
[3:16]
and a greater respect for the land that we have
[3:17]
come to share. The recognition of the contributions in historic
[3:21]
importance of indigenous peoples must also clearly and overtly be
[3:24]
connected to our collective commitment to make the promise and
[3:27]
the challenge of truth and reconciliation real in our community.
[3:31]

[4:22]
Go ahead and reach up and touch the guy. It's
[4:27]
