[16:22] doing that on September 12th over at Tip Seeman Park in conjunction with the

[16:27] Historical Society doing the the flea market that day. So, instead of

[16:32] competing in two different areas, um we got together and decided it would be

[16:36] best to we just towed the stage over there and

[16:40] had the concert during the flea market. So, we're set with the county on that,

[16:44] and that'll be September 12th. All day for the flea market, the band is

[16:49] from 2:00 to 4:00 >> Okay.

[16:51] » in the afternoon, and that's all. Um

[16:55] I also wanted to say that uh the [clears throat]

[16:59] amazing members of Pride and Celebration every Friday night [clears throat]

[17:03] concert, they go around and >> [cough]

[17:05] » collect for the food pantry.

[17:08] Uh this year for the five concerts we had so far, we collected just over

[17:13] $1,100 for the food pantry. So, um

[17:18] very generous to the residents. I know, you know, a lot of the people that come

[17:21] to the Friday night concerts are kind of the same same crowd every Friday night,

[17:25] same group of people. They give every single week. It's amazing to see people

[17:30] so willing to give to to help out the food pantry and the less fortunate. So,

[17:35] um big thank you to everybody that donated.

[17:38] I know the food pantry is very appreciative of that.

[18:14] of you for supporting the Chamber of Commerce and everything that you've done

[18:18] from creating it, uh refurbishing the ball field, all wars memorial field. Um

[18:24] it's a perfect location for Summerfest. And uh I mean, it was exceeded anything

[18:29] that we expected. Um I think one of the biggest

[18:33] things I want to point out is we had a volunteer crew ready to sweep the field

[18:38] and clean up at the end. At the end of the day, not one hot dog

[18:42] wrapper, not one napkin was thrown on that field. Which says

[18:46] a lot about the community of Watertown. The vendors were making that comment how

[18:51] the people of Watertown are so polite. And the children are so well behaved and

[18:55] that they would love to come back to another event here in Watertown. So,

[18:59] you know, I think we all know how hard, you know, we worked and that event was a

[19:03] success, but I really wanted to point that out because I'm not sure how many

[19:07] people realized, you know, I don't know how many

[19:09] communities where that would happen. >> [clears throat]

[19:13] » Did you get any type of a count at all either?

[19:16] » Um trying to figure I was trying to figure the count you

[19:20] know on my own um but obviously with so many people coming through it's

[19:23] impossible. Um our best guess our best estimate is

[19:27] 1,500 to 2,000 people came through.

[19:31] Um the uh the vendors were saying that they

[19:34] were slammed. Um many [clears throat] of them sold out

[19:37] and said that they brought more um to the event.

[19:46] a lot of one of the vendors that that sold out you know.

[19:49] Many of them with with baked goods and popcorn and other things. They all said

[21:44] Cynthia's idea she made the Union Market connection and

[21:50] that was really good. We made $605. They give us 10%

[21:54] of whatever. So I forgot what else.

[23:10] know people have stuff to do, but for me I'm not any star student, but when I

[23:15] join something that's only once a month I don't think it's a big deal. So, but

[25:23] you guys stepped right in and it really was

[25:26] an amazing and wonderful event. I got very emotional on stage. I'm getting

[25:30] emotional now. >> I saw her cry on stage so you guys know

[25:35] I didn't see it. >> Uh it was just wonderful

[25:37] to see our community come together in such a huge way. The volunteers,

[25:42] the vendors, the food trucks, you know, everybody together and then to

[25:46] watch the community flood through those gates in like three different

[28:26] DOT actually covers dredging in the state. With the exception of permitting,

[28:35] water they may be attempting to try and fund it through a different funding

[28:42] uh storm water management that was put in that seemed like that was the the

[28:47] kind of the different thing, the different avenues that they're trying to

[28:50] tie into storm water management as well with that.

[28:56] » Uh similar question was um a proposal by Van Drew for $43

[29:01] million for South Jersey. I don't know what the contents of that

[29:07] is, but he's trying to get $43 million for dollars for South Jersey and

[29:11] I'm wondering is he reaching out to municipalities and let him know what our

[29:15] needs are. Or did he or he didn't even aware of what

[29:18] » He did not for this one, but he had already um

[29:22] got the borough of $4.5 million or $4.3 million

[29:27] um appropriation through [clears throat] the federal government for a split of

[29:31] the Spittal land down at Little Egg Harbor Boulevard where they would take

[29:35] the marsh out to um 77 pipeline. So, we had this feedback

[29:41] » [clears throat] >> 2 years ago. We approved it through Van

[29:44] Drew so I don't think this one would include our town.

[29:49] » Okay. >> I do email with Pat De Niro from his

[29:52] office about once a month or so. So, I just made a note. I will

[29:57] when I email him for the updates and the progress on Port Republic, I will ask

[30:01] him if that's something I can try to get an answer on.

[30:02] » I realize South Jersey is a very big area.

[30:09] last question is uh on Marine Street, the sidewalk was

[30:13] redone on the one side of the street recently and I'm curious why

[30:20] my side of the street wasn't done. It was in worse shape than the other side

[30:24] so I wasn't sure what the

[30:27] what the reasoning was for which side of the street was done. I live on the side

[30:31] of the street that the school is actually on where the kids

[30:34] park on notice and walk by and go to the school.

[30:39] » I can answer that. There So, we got a funding through the

[30:42] community development block grant through the county.

[30:46] Um and we usually ask for about 40 to 50,000 to do it. We get 23,000.

[30:52] So, last year every other year you get. So, in um

[30:58] 2 years ago, we started on the opposite side up to Route 9. They wanted to

[31:03] finish that off based off of what it was and then we

[31:08] will continue on the other side and go up the other

[31:11] side. Like so, we started down by the ball field, worked our way down to Route

[31:15] 9, and now we're just going to come around and

[31:18] because the school handles their sidewalks there is in perfect shape.

[31:22] But, down by the ball field and all that that was all messed up. So, we just

[31:26] continued from there. And then the next go-around that we get

[31:29] the grant funding from we'll come back up to um the rest of Green Street or

[31:35] South Green Street. The two of them will work, you know, two of those are very

[31:39] bad. There's also some talks in the grant

[31:42] from the county to do more sidewalks. But, that would have to be new installed

[31:48] newly installed sidewalks. Which isn't going to help us with the

[31:52] money grant money for new sidewalks. Yeah, and they the cost

[31:57] used to be able to do a significant amount of sidewalks with 20 to 30,000

[32:01] dollars, which is what we got. But, now the price has

[32:06] rocketed and you can't do much of anything.

[32:09] Center Street when we did the sidewalks on Center Street, they were over 150,000

[32:13] dollars. So, it just cost That gives a word

[32:17] breaking it as we go along. >> So, the next one will be on the side

[32:22] starting at Route 9 and working away from Route 9.

[32:26] » It depends because we put in for South Green Street, too, cuz there's a really

[32:30] bad area on South Green Street. And now that the school is no longer going to be

[32:34] bussing the school children, um

[32:38] this area that area was really rough. So, I believe what's going to happen is

[32:43] this was 2 years ago grant that we just finished. So, the funding is from 2

[32:47] years ago. We just submitted another one this year that includes South Green

[32:52] Street right on the corner of South Green Street and I believe Otis is the

[32:57] the area that we're talking about. And then in 2020

[34:08] » That's the only place that um they were looking at funding was from Bartlett to

[34:19] spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to install that when I can't

[34:23] even fix >> Fix the ones that are there.

[34:25] » North Green Street, South Green Street, Marine Street and they're bad over

[34:28] there. The trees have popped them all up. I just feel bad about that.

[34:32] But again, that is something that we have to look at too.
