[0:35]
my questions from the public.
[0:38]
I pray to St. Patrick.
[0:40]
Thank you, there you go.
[0:42]
Good evening, one body.
[0:48]
You got to do something like this.
[0:51]
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the
[0:53]

[0:56]
republic for which it stands, one nation
[0:59]
under God, indivisible, with liberty and
[1:02]
justice for all.
[1:11]
Vote, chair.
[1:12]
Welcome, everyone.
[1:15]
Seeing the great number of people that
[1:17]
are here this evening.
[1:19]
I welcome you all.
[1:21]
All
[1:22]
say yes.
[1:25]
It's an emergency. I can't go out the
[1:27]
back door or through the home, through
[1:28]
the window, through the door, but anyway
[1:30]
out of the house.
[1:32]
Okay. Room clerk.
[1:34]
» Good evening, everybody. I'm requesting

[1:44]

[2:50]
» Thank you. Thank you, Robert.
[2:59]
» Good evening, everyone.
[3:01]
So, just an alert, we're having a
[3:03]
special planning board hearing on
[3:05]
Wednesday the 29th. That's this week.
[3:10]
The Watch Hill Group They're new owners
[3:13]
of 130 West Avenue. So, that's the
[3:16]
hotel. They're actually seeking
[3:18]
modifications to their previously
[3:20]
approved application. So, we're going to
[3:22]
have a special hearing for them just to
[3:24]
be able to get the project continuing.
[3:28]
So, the new owners, they're looking to
[3:30]
put a rooftop including a swimming pool
[3:34]
with a hot tub and two presidential
[3:36]
suites.
[3:38]
So, just a heads-up about that. Our
[3:41]
regularly scheduled planning board
[3:42]
meeting will still take place on Tuesday
[3:45]
the 28th at 6:00 p.m.
[3:48]
On that application, we have three new
[3:51]
applications, uh two adjourned, and some
[3:55]
new signage going up. Um agendas are
[3:59]
posted on the website. So, if you want
[4:01]
further details on that, please take a
[4:03]
look.
[4:04]
» Susan?
[4:04]
» Yes.
[4:05]
» What was the date on the hotel meeting
[4:07]
again?
[4:07]
» The 29th. So, that's Wednesday the 29th
[4:10]
at 6:00 p.m.
[4:14]
And it will be broadcast on YouTube.
[4:17]
Um
[4:18]
our ZBA, the next ZBA meeting will be
[4:20]
held August 4th. Our last ZBA meeting
[4:23]
was held on the 21st of July.
[4:26]
Um the ZBA did a great job cleaning up
[4:29]
quite a few
[4:31]
uh
[4:31]
applications that were on their agenda.
[4:33]
So, most were closed and held um or
[4:36]
withdrawn. And then we had a few that
[4:38]
had to be adjourned
[4:40]
uh for pending additional informations
[4:43]
and mailing certificates.
[4:45]
Um so, all is well in your planning and
[4:48]
zoning world.
[4:51]
And then I have a few items on my
[4:53]
agendas.
[4:54]
I'm requesting approval to adopt a
[4:56]
standard workday and reporting
[4:58]
resolution for the following appointed
[5:00]
officials: Eva Greguski, planning board
[5:02]
member; Robert Morris, planning board
[5:04]
member; Kristen Macaulay, zoning board
[5:07]
member;
[5:08]
Benny Migliorino, zoning board member;
[5:10]
and Lauren Murphy, zoning board member.
[5:12]
That's a motion.
[5:13]
» I'll second it.
[5:14]
» There. I.
[5:16]
» I'm requesting approval to adopt a
[5:17]
standard workday and reporting
[5:19]
resolution for elected
[5:21]
village official trustee Lisbeth
[5:23]
Corilla.
[5:24]
» Second.
[5:25]
» I.
[5:26]
» Prepared.
[5:27]
» Um and just to let
[5:30]
you know, I will be back at the library
[5:32]
on Monday, August 3rd um for my next
[5:36]
installment of meet with Deputy Mayor
[5:38]
Brickman.
[5:40]
So, if anybody's free and you want to
[5:41]
come down and have a conversation, I've
[5:43]
met so many wonderful people so far and
[5:45]
passed out some parking stickers and
[5:48]
so it's a great place to meet and greet.
[5:50]
So if anybody's around wants to join me,
[5:52]
come on over. I'm there from 5:00 p.m.
[5:54]
to 7:00 p.m.
[5:54]
» When was that?
[5:55]
» August 3rd. August 3rd.
[5:58]
» Thank you, Chief Yurkon.
[6:00]
Thank you, Mr. Mayor.
[6:02]
Uh
[6:03]
Parks and Rec report.
[6:06]
Of the Great South Bay Music Festival
[6:08]
was this past weekend.
[6:09]
Sure everybody knows that. Um kudos to
[6:12]
Jim and Jamie Faith for a great event
[6:15]
with exceptional talent. I was there on
[6:18]
Saturday and
[6:19]
it was pretty cool. Last year
[6:21]
and a special thanks to our Parks,
[6:23]
Highway, and Public Safety people for
[6:26]
making it happen and going going beyond
[6:29]
uh the call of duty. They did a
[6:31]
fantastic job.
[6:32]
» They did an outstanding job. They were
[6:34]
really working hard.
[6:36]
» So nice event. Perfect weather.
[6:39]
» Oh, couldn't have been better. Couldn't
[6:40]
have been
[6:40]
» Absolutely perfect.
[6:42]
» So
[6:43]
Um all right. Our lacrosse program in
[6:46]
the village begins tomorrow at the Rider
[6:48]
Avenue Park. It'll be held on Tuesdays
[6:50]
and Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30. Anybody
[6:53]
in the public who's interested, please
[6:56]
uh
[6:57]
contact the uh Parks Department.
[6:59]
And our youth and cultural arts program
[7:02]
is sold out and it starts on Monday,
[7:04]
August 3rd.
[7:06]
Both good news.
[7:08]
Um our Shore Front Park concert series
[7:10]
is 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on the following
[7:13]
dates. Uh Amber Ferrari on Saturday,
[7:17]
August 1st.
[7:18]
The 70s band
[7:20]
uh to be honest, there was a conflict in
[7:22]
the schedule. I'm not sure if it's
[7:24]
August 7th or 14th.
[7:26]
Uh we'll try to get that out, but I'm
[7:29]
not positive on that one.
[7:31]
Max, the ultimate 90s
[7:34]
uh Friday, August 21st. The Almost
[7:37]
Brothers. They were like the Allman
[7:39]
Brothers.
[7:40]
» I want to know that, too.
[7:41]
» At the Great South Bay Music Festival. I
[7:43]
don't know if you were there for that.
[7:45]
Uh they would they're Saturday, August
[7:47]
22nd, they're pretty good. And kids
[7:49]
dance and foam party, Friday, August
[7:52]
20th.
[7:54]
So and
[7:56]
two more things. Patchogue Beach Club
[7:58]
update.
[7:59]
Uh we are now accepting tap to pay,
[8:01]
Apple Pay, and more to make visiting the
[8:04]
pool very convenient and easy
[8:07]
um to pay. And please come enjoy your
[8:10]
day in the sun. We're still looking to
[8:12]
hire more lifeguards. If anybody in the
[8:14]
public knows that, please stop by the
[8:17]
wreck center on Bay Avenue.
[8:19]
Um and please consider joining any one
[8:22]
of our programs. Swimming lessons now
[8:24]
have 79 participants,
[8:27]
which is pretty good.
[8:28]
Our Saturday Splash and Bond program,
[8:31]
which is parents and children swimming
[8:33]
together, has 19 pairings. Our Sunday
[8:37]
aquatic fitness class has 29
[8:39]
participants. And Saturday yoga
[8:42]
continues until August 15th on the beach
[8:45]
as well. So lots to do. Beach Club is uh
[8:48]
moving along.
[8:50]
All right. And last but not least,
[8:52]
public service announcement for
[8:54]
David, who I guess is missing his like
[8:56]
his first meeting.
[8:58]
All right.
[8:59]
Um
[8:59]
the Patchogue ground table is tomorrow
[9:02]
meeting again tomorrow at 5:30 at the
[9:04]
YMCA. Public is invited to attend. And
[9:08]
for anybody who doesn't know, the main
[9:10]
purpose of ground table um
[9:13]
is as Tom is very well aware, is to take
[9:16]
on
[9:17]
big projects to help our community that
[9:19]
maybe a
[9:21]
uh a Rotary can't do on their own,
[9:22]
Alliance can't do on their own, or so
[9:25]
that all the groups can go together and
[9:26]
we can get more done in our village. And
[9:29]
David and uh Tom are very involved in
[9:32]
that. And uh I'll be there tomorrow and
[9:35]
invite everybody to join us.
[9:39]
Um,
[9:40]
public safety report. I do want to note
[9:43]
that there's been
[9:45]
a
[9:46]
probably regular amount of noise
[9:48]
complaints, but since I'm in the new in
[9:50]
the job, it
[9:51]
seems like a lot to me.
[9:53]
Uh, noise complaints and some of them
[9:55]
seem to have come from the Dublin Deck
[9:57]
and some from Blue Point Brewery.
[10:00]
Uh, we'll be watching this closely and I
[10:02]
hope that they curtail themselves. Cuz
[10:06]
it's not fair to the residents that they
[10:08]
have to put up with.
[10:09]
» Is the Dublin Deck was given a warning
[10:10]
the other night.
[10:12]
» Which night was that? Before, you know?
[10:14]
» But I was What night was it?
[10:17]
» Thursday, I think it was. It was 7:00 at
[10:19]
night. But I think
[10:20]
» I'm I'm not going to sleep.
[10:24]
» Wow. All right.
[10:26]
» So, but that's pretty much it for public
[10:28]
safety for today. And again, kudos to
[10:30]
them for the great job on Great South
[10:32]
Bay neighbors.
[10:33]
They really make you feel safe down
[10:35]
there.
[10:36]
So, all right. Now, some of my motions.
[10:38]
Request approval to hire Paige Krieger
[10:41]
as Splash Pad Attendant at $16 an hour
[10:44]

[10:48]
Third.
[10:50]
» All in favor?
[10:51]
» Aye.
[10:51]
» I checked it. Don't you start donating
[10:53]
your time.
[10:55]
» [laughter]
[10:55]

[10:56]
checks apart.
[10:58]
» That's good. That's her his 16.

Long Island Maritime Museum in West
[12:02]
Sayville? Is that the museum we're
[12:03]
talking about?
[12:04]
» Sure, but I'm assuming it is.
[12:06]
» Is it Priscilla Bayman?
[12:07]
» Yes.
[12:08]
» It is. I believe it is.
[12:09]
» Yeah.
[12:09]
» That's exciting stuff.
[12:10]
» You have to show us the boat.
[12:11]
» Yes.
[12:12]
» It's the restored oyster sloop that uh
[12:14]
they worked on for years and it's now
[12:15]
back in the water last couple years.
[12:17]
» Pretty cool stuff.
[12:18]
» So, yeah. Request that's nice.
[12:21]
» Cool boat, right?
[12:21]
» And
[12:22]
» Aye.
[12:23]
» Opposed?
[12:24]
» And last but not least, request approval
[12:26]
of a resolution approving the acceptance

everyone. I have the June 2026 um
[15:20]
building and housing financial report,
[15:22]
the first month of the new fiscal year.
[15:25]
And,
[15:26]
uh, notwithstanding Trustee Furbs'
[15:28]
comments last month about not counting
[15:29]
on the revenue continuing as they did
[15:31]
last year,
[15:32]
the hits just keep on coming.
[15:34]
Total revenue for the month of June,
[15:36]
$153,825.50.
[15:42]
Top five sources of revenue, number
[15:44]
five, safety inspection fees, $3,060.

this summer, outside cafe permits
[15:52]
brought in $3,500
[15:54]
last month.
[15:56]
Rental permits came in at number three,
[15:58]
uh, $4,350.
[16:01]
Fire inspections and permits came in
[16:04]
number two at $5,300.
[16:06]
That's a combined amount of $8,360
[16:11]
from fire inspection and safety
[16:13]
inspection fees. It seems like I'm
[16:14]
always touting Steven Armstead's.
[16:16]
» Steven, how are you doing?
[16:17]
» But, that's pretty darn good work for
[16:18]
one month. So, kudos to him. Building
[16:21]
permits came in number one as they
[16:22]
almost always do. $131,000
[16:26]
» [clears throat]
[16:26]
» $131,775.50
[16:30]
in building permit fees for the month of
[16:31]
June, 2026. Again, for a total of
[16:34]
153,825.
[16:37]
5.50. Good work by everybody down there.
[16:40]
And, um, not to single anybody out, but
[16:42]
I have noticed that Augie rocked the
[16:43]
shell. Kudos to Augie uh, with his new
[16:47]
enthusiasm on the job. He really is
[16:48]
jumping right on things and and getting
[16:51]
things done and and,
[16:52]
uh, exercising some good leadership down
[16:54]
there. So,
[16:55]
uh, much appreciated.
[16:56]
» Comment on that. He gives an outstanding
[16:58]
report right at the close of uh, the
[17:00]
planning and zoning.
[17:05]
» Uh, do I have a report from, uh, village
[17:07]
engineer Tim Norberg, um, for the public
[17:10]
works, of course.
[17:12]
Uh, their main thing over the last week
[17:13]
has been the Great South Bay Music
[17:15]
Festival. Something that that the team
[17:17]
that he really enjoys and you can tell
[17:20]
when you're down there how into that
[17:22]
event they are. But, the combination of
[17:24]
their good cheer and good humor
[17:27]
and they're they hustle. And
[17:29]
being that they are the ones that have
[17:30]
the village logo and the village
[17:32]
uniforms, they are the basically they're
[17:33]
the face of the village
[17:35]
during those four days of that festival
[17:38]
and we couldn't ask for any better
[17:39]
representation. They There's Those of
[17:41]
you who were were there have been there.
[17:43]
A lot of out-of-towners and
[17:44]
out-of-staters. And and they are
[17:46]
projecting a village as friendly,
[17:49]
welcoming, and and hard working and they
[17:51]
do a They do a tremendous job. So, that
[17:53]
was one of the main focuses of the past
[17:56]
week.
[17:57]
Uh the highway guys are back to work on
[17:59]
the main street tree project. They're I
[18:02]
guess using that stump grinder again
[18:03]
that they seem to be enjoying working
[18:06]
together. We just approved a change.
[18:08]
It's a major change. Brian Walden
[18:09]
retired I think it was the last meeting
[18:12]
after 37 years working for the village.
[18:14]
And he was our main street sweeper for
[18:16]
the last several years. So, I believe we
[18:18]
just hired a new one and they're making
[18:20]
some switches, moving some things
[18:21]
around. Thank you. But, there'll be a
[18:23]
new Yes, Pinkney I believe is his name.
[18:27]
Michael Pinkney is the new is the new
[18:29]
sweeper effective
[18:31]
He was the guy who replaced I think I
[18:32]
» Yeah. So,
[18:34]
» Yes. And uh
[18:35]
Big shoes to fill. Brian's doing a great
[18:36]
job with the sweeping. I'm sure he'll uh
[18:39]
that that he'll do a great job as well.
[18:41]
Um and of course as was alluded to
[18:44]
earlier uh
[18:46]
still kind of recovering from the fire
[18:48]
at the wastewater treatment plant which
[18:50]
is
[18:51]
uh sort of an unexpected and never
[18:53]
pleasant thing to have to deal with. Uh
[18:55]
so, kudos to all the uh good folks at
[18:58]
DPW and their leader uh village engineer
[19:02]
Norberg. I would like to uh make a
[19:04]
couple of motions. The first is to
[19:06]
resolve to access two sets of sewer
[19:09]
grinder pumps the
[19:11]
from the sewer department stock
[19:13]
uh they are 6 to 8 foot non-flood units.
[19:17]
And these were purchased as um
[19:19]
deliberately purchased as excess uh
[19:22]
during phase one, I believe.
[19:24]
And this will be for sale to residents
[19:25]
at the original purchase price, which is
[19:28]
not cheap. And that is a motion.
[19:30]
» Second.
[19:31]
» Mr. Mayor.
[19:32]
» Hi.
[19:32]
» Hi.
[19:34]
» And finally, I'd like to request uh
[19:36]
ratification of a prior approval to
[19:38]
waive the tent permit fee that I think
[19:41]
it was last week's uh Rotary Club Monte
[19:43]
Carlo by the Bay event motion.
[19:45]
» Second.
[19:46]
» Second with that.
[19:47]
» We have no choice. They didn't pay for
[19:48]
it.
[19:51]
» That's second.
[19:52]
» The whole payment is
[19:52]
» Hi.
[19:54]
» And that's all I've got, Mr. Mayor.
[19:57]
» Was there any comment?
[19:59]
» None whatsoever.
[20:01]
» Mr. Reagan.
[20:01]
» Quite some.
[20:02]
» Mr. Mayor.
[20:03]
» Anyone else on the board?
[20:04]
» No.
[20:05]
» Anyone else in the audience? Hello out
[20:07]
there.
[20:07]
» Hello out there.
[20:08]
» You're in.
[20:09]
» I I anything?
[20:11]
» Anything on your mind?
[20:12]
» A little thing. Nothing to do with the
[20:13]
village.
[20:15]
» [laughter]
[20:15]
» But I got these little batteries that
[20:17]
I've had uh I'm a backup batteries.
[20:21]
I have a pictures of them. Do Do Does
[20:23]
the village take batteries and
[20:26]
little ones? They're like this.
[20:28]
Little Yeah, I can I have a picture of
[20:29]
them. Hold on.
[20:32]
Uh Best Buy.
[20:33]
Yeah. Best Buy takes them. And I believe
[20:35]
Best Buy takes batteries.
[20:40]
You see it? How's How would
[20:41]
I Yeah. It's for a backup computer.
[20:45]
Backup of the So, you know, if the power
[20:47]
goes down, like this big.
[20:49]
» Does Best Buy Best Buy take a lot of
[20:51]
electronics?
[20:51]
» Yeah, they take electronics.
[20:52]
» I'll go there and find out.
[20:54]
» That's it for me.
[20:55]
» It's over already?
[20:57]
» It's all but mine.
[21:00]
I waited till the end of six cases of
[21:03]
Bud Light.
[21:04]
Don't forget.
[21:05]
» Yes.
[21:07]
» If he closes the meeting now, we beat
[21:08]
your time.
[21:09]
» That's right.
[21:17]
» Motion to adjourn.
[21:18]
» Second.
[21:19]
» All in favor, say "Aye."
