[7:06] them with Wy but I feel like that we need I need

[7:12] to be there our staff needs to be there when needed so that people will know who

[7:17] we are and that Wilson Mills is important and so if anyone has a meeting

[7:24] that they would like to need attend to represent the town I'm willing to go

[7:29] and learn everything I can toes to represent this town and learn what we

[7:35] need to grow so I'm just telling you that it was trying for me but I enjoyed

[7:40] it I learned a lot um lean and I have a lot we're going on right now there's a

[7:47] lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that y'all don't know about because we

[7:52] can't tell you yet but there's a lot of stuff that's that's out there and um

[7:59] there's a lot of things that we're doing and I think it's for the betterment of

[8:02] the town and that's all I have L it's your

[8:11] job a few updates for

[8:24] you this is a timetable for the you the comprehensive ility

[8:30] plan that was awarded to um TRC Incorporated engineering

[8:36] firm and we've got a meeting scheduled for Wednesday November 1st to review

[8:42] some of the data that's now being uploaded into a share Drive between us

[8:47] and the county um and even a representative from the Wooten company

[8:51] is sending in some information about the um work that was done back in

[8:57] 2017 excuse me so um this timetable shows what will be

[9:04] done if you look at the contract the various tasks in the contract and what

[9:10] dates those will be completed and we'll be holding meetings throughout the

[9:15] next several months including into 2024 and if everything goes as planned

[9:22] which I don't see any reason why it shouldn't this should come to you for a

[9:26] final presentation at the August Council meeting in

[9:34] 2024 anybody have any questions about this just want you to have a copy of it

[9:40] for your reference Le are they having any problems getting the information

[9:45] from the county and then no um the two representatives of the county Shandra

[9:50] farmer and um Kim rer are on the share drive with us and so everybody's putting

[9:56] in all the data and then once we meet on that in November and move for

[10:05] in um the second thing that I wanted to talk to you about I mentioned it last

[10:10] month the Triangle East Chamber of Commerce the subcommittee that I'm on

[10:14] for economic development has hired livability for promoting areas in the

[10:22] county and as I mentioned to you they were supposed to be getting me some

[10:26] information on costs for ads we're hoping that if we can go ahead and set

[10:33] with them what ad we want to do that by the time we start The Branding and Logo

[10:40] project that will be completed before this is publicized in the spring of

[10:45] 24 so most of these are going to range in in the area that's under my threshold

[10:52] um so I'm probably just going to work with this is a lot of information that

[10:56] they sent to me I think that you want to copies of all of this information but it

[11:00] just gives some examples of other towns and how they Market themselves

[11:08] especially if there aren't a lot of businesses in the towns yet which is our

[11:13] case but we do have a couple of developers that we're working with that

[11:17] will probably put some stuff in this livability publication about the

[11:22] developments that are going up especially the mixed used ones to try to

[11:27] Market some of the areas for and Commercial and then of course we'll have

[11:32] our information in there about our demographic operation what's coming

[11:37] Transportation all that kind stuff so I just wanted to update you on that again

[11:42] I did get that from her now there's some of them that go the premium rates for

[11:46] several Pages go all the way up to tens of thousands but we're not looking at

[11:51] anything like that right now right now we just want to make sure we get our

[11:55] name out there hopefully after our branding um so I just wanted to update

[12:01] you on that too the community engagement project

[12:05] that we've talked about before with um with the department

[12:11] heads and all of the staff when we had our meeting we did meet a few weeks ago

[12:17] and assigned teams for the five top short-term

[12:22] goals and this is just a summary of those meetings and I wanted you to each

[12:28] have a copy of

[12:31] that um this basically just talks about what we went over what we felt like we

[12:37] wanted to accomplish with this community engagement project talking about why

[12:41] change may or may not be hard especially in the public sector and given priority

[12:47] to some of our brainstorming ideas so our top priority short-term goals

[12:51] between now and the end of the year deal with volunteers for different events and

[12:57] in the community and surrounding areas um direct mailing permits in hopes to

[13:03] get more information out to the citizens utilizing our YouTube and social media

[13:08] which unfortunately tonight we're having technical difficulties again um

[13:13] digitizing the packets so that not only cut down on paper but also it's

[13:19] available for the public on the website and when we get our new Chambers to be

[13:24] able to put it up on the screen so that the public can see that and working with

[13:31] um area HOAs School sponsored activities the PTA and other informational meetings

[13:38] around town with different organizations that give us an opportunity to answer

[13:42] any questions that citizens may have about what we do and what we're trying

[13:47] to do in the community to get everybody engaged in a positive way so this is

[13:54] just a summary of that our teams were created we meet again tomorrow to talk

[13:59] about um what the teams have accomplished so far on each one of these

[14:05] subjects and we've got a department head on each one of the five teams and then

[14:13] other staff members with that department head who are heading up these different

[14:17] projects so I'll keep you updated on these but if you get to looking through

[14:26] excited about a lot of the stuff that we're getting ready start

[24:37] Church we're teaming up with again and we had a yard sale and we had a yard

[24:42] sale on the 30th of September which was a huge success too very hug yeah we're

[24:48] having to do that again in the spring just like to staff I was and the mayor I

[24:52] was there also at the touch of truck thing it was great success so on behalf

[40:56] doesn't matter yet but with respect to the community part we don't have one yet

[41:07] I'm trying to think about between now and June if we're g to have money left

[41:12] over in that line and do plans that we're doing or we're going to need to

[41:16] take it out of this line and we may just do that take it out of what a different

[41:20] line in the budget they are they' be nice I'd like

[41:25] really love to see it going up before the first of of the year so that we're

[41:30] not waiting until next FIS year thank you

[41:35] right what's going on with the Rugby Club and the

[41:39] fields they are using them I I actually um went out there a couple of weeks ago

[41:46] when they were seeding and Mowing and Etc and I I sat and talk with um what's

[41:52] the guy's name who's in charge rug Ted Ted yeah I talked with him for quite a

[41:56] while and he said they're they're actually practicing on those fields

[42:00] there regularity they were out there the whole

[42:04] back field though the Sunday was full I mean I went the whole field was full are

[42:09] you Jim are you answer can you hear I just got an update from him a week and a

[42:13] half ago if you'd like an update on please um they have dropped all the seed

[42:19] and fertilizer and they have also completed some general maintenance

[42:23] around the fields they are hoping to be playing actual games out there during

[42:29] the second half of their season and they're also trying to fild that large

[42:33] wash out area near the what they call the championship field so if you're

[42:38] facing um if you're standing at the shelter facing back the rest of the

[42:42] property it's the one on the west um the store they're getting a storage shed out

[42:47] there for now because in March of 24 we will be part of an A Part F Grant

[42:55] application that will hopefully have included in it an actual building with

[43:01] restrooms and office storage building um but for right now they're just doing a

[43:05] small storage shed and then once that's in place they're going to put up some

[43:10] flood lights because they are starting to play later in the evening and of

[43:14] course it's getting dark um the next big round of work that they're doing out

[43:19] there is going to be later in November they're putting down more seed on the

[43:22] high traffic areas and then practice fields this

[43:26] so that the gold post can be installed but they've got to fix that

[43:30] gra but they were last Sunday afternoon they whole back field with school they

[43:36] also have a good kids program going on right now I don't know I don't know if

[43:40] it was children or adults because I just knew there was a lot of people on the

[43:44] back deal back as as an indicator of their dedication to to seeing this

[43:49] project through he informed me that they have already in storage

[43:54] $150,000 worth of Stadium lights they do you don't you don't do $150,000 of

[44:00] Stadium lights if it's going to be a yeah maybe it'll work maybe it won't

[44:03] we're hoping that that will be a big portion of our matching part of this

[44:06] part Grant in spr will will there be a do you anticipate any problem between uh

[44:14] with those Stadium lights and the um crab tree family and and maybe and maybe

[44:21] the the homes I don't I mean I don't anticipate any problems because they're

[44:26] they have to be installed a certain way okay thank

[44:33] you know
