And it reads GCS Employee Appreciation Month starting May of 2026. Whereas traditionally, teachers, principals, school nutrition workers, and other school based roles are celebrated individually during the month of May, and whereas, Guilford County Schools recognizes that those roles are essential to the school district, along with many other GCS employees, including custodians, bus drivers, technology services administrators, teachers, assistants, and so many more.
