Hello, and welcome to our GovTalk event. Today, we are going to be reviewing our newest feature,
[0:10]
account enrollment for our online payment portal.
[0:18]
We will cover account enrollment, the ability
[0:21]
to link billing accounts, e-wallet functionality, and the ability to submit one-time payments,
[0:29]
as well as scheduling future payments.
[0:34]
Now, let's take a look at the options that we have
[0:36]
from regards to the configuration on your portal.
[0:43]
Now here we can see the standard configuration
[0:48]
that includes an open search mechanism.
[0:51]
We do have the additional option
[0:54]
of having your portal be pin protected
[0:57]
if that's what your current configuration is.
[1:01]
So taking a look at the open search option,
[1:04]
the first thing a user will notice
[1:06]
is this new box here at the top.
[1:08]
This is where a user could go ahead and click to register their account initially.
[1:14]
They will do so by entering a valid email address and clicking continue.
[1:19]
Once they do so, they will receive a verification code to complete their account creation process.
[1:26]
Now let's look at an account that I've already created.
[1:31]
So I'm going to go ahead and log in and
[1:37]
here we can see the welcome screen when we first log in to the portal.
[1:40]
As you can see I have not linked any billing accounts to this current login, but if I wanted
[1:47]
to do so I would simply click on manage billing accounts.
[1:52]
I then would be able to search by my name and
[2:00]
then get a listing of the accounts that
[2:01]
I wish to link. So here I see my tax as well as my utility account.
[2:13]
So I can save those and see that those are now linked to my account.
[2:19]
Now let's take a look at that from a pin perspective.
[2:22]
So
[2:28]
here with pin features turned on, when I want to link an account, I am required to
[2:33]
provide my account ID as well as my pin.
[2:38]
If I had my utility account with my pin,
[2:46]
I can see it pulls up my account, I can select
[2:48]
it and save it.
[2:54]
Let's take a look at an account that has been previously set up.
[3:05]
I'm going to go ahead and log in.
[3:06]
And
[3:10]
here I can see I've already got my tax and my utility account linked to my login.
[3:18]
So, through this option, I can manage my payment methods.
[3:26]
You can see I've already linked my checking account, as well as my American Express card.
[3:32]
If I wanted to add a new payment method, I could do so here.
[3:36]
Again, I could add another credit debit card or another bank account, depending on which
[3:41]
method I wanted to add, as well as I could go back and edit my current payment methods.
[3:49]
For some reason my checking account changed, or I needed to update my American Express
[3:53]
card with the new expiration date.
[3:55]
I can do that through here as well.
[4:00]
Now I also have the ability to view the billing information from my accounts directly from
[4:05]
this site.
[4:06]
Here I can see the current balances that are due, but if I were to view, it would take me
[4:12]
simply to the normal payment portal page that all of your residents are
[4:17]
currently used to. I can see my current billing information, I can see my
[4:21]
prior billing information, I have my basic account information on top, and here I
[4:26]
can choose to make a payment, schedule a future payment, or sign up for e-bill
[4:33]
enrollment.
[4:37]
When I decide to make a payment, I could click here, if I wanted to make a
[4:41]
one-time payment submission. You can see I have the option to select my payment method
[4:47]
through the drop-down menu. So I wanted to use my checking account. I can choose the amount
[4:54]
that I wish to pay at this time, and then submit that payment through the portal here.
[5:01]
I also have the ability to schedule a payment to happen at a future date.
[5:10]
So pulling this
[5:10]
up, I can choose the date I wish to make the payment. So I wanted it to make a payment
[5:16]
on December 15th.
[5:20]
I wanted to make a payment of $1,000, and
[5:24]
then I can choose which payment method
[5:26]
I would want to use. Let's choose my checking account. Now I can schedule this payment.
[5:36]
Here I'm greeted with a message that lets me know that I'm going to make a payment of $1,000, $1.95,
[5:42]
which includes a service fee of $1.95 since I decided to use the eCheck method.
[5:48]
I can see the breakdown of my payments here with my merchant amount, the amount of my
[5:52]
fee, and the total amount I'm going to pay.
[5:55]
It's going to ask me if I want to process this payment and then I will go ahead and confirm.
[6:00]
Upon confirming, I am greeted with the option to review the terms and conditions of my submission.
[6:05]
I can do so by clicking this link and reviewing those terms and conditions, but let's say I've
[6:11]
made payments in the past, so I'm already familiar with those terms, so I'm going to agree
[6:16]
and confirm.
[6:21]
Now here we can see that I had a previous payment already scheduled for the 15th of
[6:26]
November and then I just made another payment that I wanted to schedule for the 15th of December.
[6:32]
So let's say at this point I want to remove that payment. I can delete my scheduled payment
[6:42]
and that will remove it from the portal.
[6:50]
Now another option on here is e-bill enrollment.
[6:53]
So through this option, I can either sign up for or unsubscribe from e-bills based on the current status of my account.
[7:03]
So if my account currently does not obtain e-bills, I can go ahead and enroll by providing my e-mail address.
[7:11]
Now if I already was signed up for e-bills, this would simply unsubscribe me from that service as well.
[7:16]
I
[7:19]
can return home.
[7:21]
I also have my utility information on here as well if I wish to make a payment.
[7:28]
Now other options that are included on here for me is the ability to edit my profile.
[7:39]
Through here I can enter my username if I wish to update my email address.
[7:46]
I can edit my contact information or I can simply delete my account.
[7:57]
Now through this option as well I have the ability to manage my billing accounts.
[8:02]
So I've wished to remove these properties.
[8:04]
I can do so through here.
[8:06]
Maybe I moved, and I'm no longer living at this address.
[8:09]
I could simply remove this account,
[8:11]
and then add another account that I wish to manage.
[8:17]
And then the last piece of this is that even with these options,
[8:22]
you still retain all the initial functionality of your web portal.
[8:31]
So I can still go ahead, pull up my tax account,
[8:33]
and
[8:37]
submit a one-time payment as I have done previously in the past.
[8:45]
Now I want to thank you for viewing our newest online payment portal features,
[8:50]
and please contact Edmund GovTech with any questions.
