At all standards? A pledge and a labor사?
[0:20]
Proposis. We get quick numbers two. Noel, tomorrow is 29th anniversary of a pretty important event in our country's
[0:26]
history. Hopefully we'll read tomorrow.
[0:28]
take a moment to take a bite that is going to prevent most of us to remember exactly we were
[0:36]
in what happened. We're going to the roll call on please.
[0:42]
Out of here. Here.
[0:46]
Here. Here. Here. Here.
[0:52]
Here. Here.
[0:52]
all for us. Everybody out of line can hear me, I assume.
[1:03]
But we have nobody's
[1:05]
saying anything. Okay, we have a lot of people on my mind.
[1:12]
So we have Liz
[1:14]
Lyndon Burr, we have Abby, we have Andrea, we have Chris Carter ready and Terry Parker.
[1:21]
We have Warren's iPad, we have Michael Miller,
[1:29]
no one can hear, hold on Abby,
[1:35]
I have done nothing
[1:36]
different this time,
[1:42]
that's it, it's showing that I can hear you hear me, hear me,
[1:51]
hear me
[1:52]
out loud.
[2:01]
I keep going with you to see your fur, I'm going to access the public comment to board meetings,
[2:07]
You know, typically, I've been kind of rolling through this, but we have a lot of people.
[2:12]
First, we want to make sure we remember this.
[2:15]
It didn't be blackboard and planning commission meetings.
[2:16]
It's open to the public in person, even remotely, but are not public meetings per se.
[2:22]
Public attendees both in person and remote participants who wish to come on as in items.
[2:26]
If technology works, we'll be given an opportunity and be in each meeting to do so.
[2:33]
Basically, comments and questions, a little bit of gentlemen took two to three minutes.
[2:38]
Anyways, as I just speak longer than that, should arrange to be placed on the agenda beforehand
[2:42]
and appear in person at the meeting.
[2:44]
Unless continuing circumstances happen in the board is contacted.
[2:49]
General ground rules, our speaker will not be interrupted.
[2:52]
There will be no cross-talk between members of the audience.
[2:55]
The speaker will treat the proceedings and other speakers with dignity and respect.
[2:59]
address in the issue in not personalities. If something is overlooked, it needs to be discussed on a new business, the floor will be reopened for public comment on that item.
[3:11]
So that I'll take a motion to set the agenda.
[3:19]
I'll make the motion we set the agenda as Britain. I'll suck in that.
[3:23]
So, good discussion, I'd like to have just a minute to add a Marvin Gates letter under the information updates below the union contract negotiations.
[3:43]
Okay, I'll re-state with the Marvin Gates on there. I make a motion.
[3:49]
Then I still suck in it.
[3:51]
Hobbes in favor, high in it. I was opposed. Right. Yes.
[3:59]
All right, move on to public comment.
[4:02]
I'm sure there's plenty. So, you want to try to hit the remote. First, you can't, you're still not working.
[4:09]
Is there anybody remote who has public comment?
[4:18]
Nobody's responding to chat, and I can't hear anybody, so I don't want to tell you.
[4:21]
It's what?
[4:23]
Oh, we'll find it to the public comments and the folks who are here.
[4:30]
Gracie.
[4:31]
Mmm.
[4:35]
I'm a Gracie Porter.
[4:38]
I think that's a matter of how many generations somebody's family has lived in this town.
[4:44]
It doesn't matter how many years they've lived here.
[4:48]
They're not special.
[4:49]
they're not entitled to anything more than anything else. Anybody else who lives in this town.
[4:56]
We all have to live by the rules and regulations and laws, including our first human
[5:00]
right of free speech. No one can bend or break this law to suit their own purposes.
[5:09]
It is a violation of that amendment to dictate what we are allowed to say about
[5:14]
at 2.50 or anything else at a planning commission meeting or any other meeting or time.
[5:22]
The planning commission in select board I have heard all about of these problems and none have been fixed.
[5:29]
We do not need to repeat what we have done before. Please try something new and deny this request.
[5:36]
I'm asking you to think of hard about your vote. Is it worth it?
[5:42]
You're a voted to the select board to represent the whole town and all the citizens in it.
[5:49]
To make decisions that have beneficial to the town and everybody who lives here, please do that.
[5:57]
Thank you.
[6:04]
On Barbara Monarchman.
[6:06]
And I'm here to say the same thing.
[6:08]
I said at the other meetings in regards to this commitment.
[6:12]
And that's that we carefully worked for a long time to make the 10 plan that we did.
[6:19]
And we have that 10 plan and it's been enacted and it's sort of ring well.
[6:24]
And I think to ask to change it at the wrong time
[6:32]
because the citizens were very hard to make that plan
[6:38]
and we can build a new one the next time around and everyone will be able to speak and everyone
[6:46]
will be able to have their input heard in regard to a new plan but the plan that we have now
[6:54]
we all worked really hard and many of us were there and fought to get what we got and I think the
[7:02]
thing is to simply keep them all we have because we got a new one coming up and we'll all be working.
[7:09]
Thank
[7:15]
you.
[7:16]
Thank you.
[7:17]
Thank you.
[7:18]
My name is David Bean.
[7:20]
Pretty much new.
[7:21]
Everyone watching this room.
[7:23]
I don't know a lot of the history of what's going on, however I do know the history of what
[7:26]
I've felt past year that I've been here.
[7:30]
So, in whatever context this is to let these two ladies as spoken to, I don't want my house feeling like there's an earthquake going on, and I hope that that fits in line with everyone else's opinion here.
[7:43]
I plan to take an act of part in this community moving forward. So, we have, I don't see that everyone's needs are being met here, and that I'm unhappy with the outcomes of this meeting.
[7:57]
I will be taking more active role in this and I think that'll be supported by community as well.
[8:04]
Thank you.
[8:05]
Thank you.
[8:06]
Thank you.
[8:11]
Distribute me.
[8:12]
I have a secure address.
[8:14]
5, 5, 4, 5, 4, 5.
[8:22]
Yep.
[8:24]
My name is Jessica Brownson.
[8:27]
I've left here for 15 years.
[8:30]
Recently, right up here in standing out with a Brooklyn mode.
[8:37]
I'm not going to pretend that I know all of the fancy things, but I do know that my husband and I are opposed to this little new change that I'm hearing about.
[8:50]
We are worried about what it could mean for our home. We love where we live.
[8:56]
We want to be able to continue living here the way that it is without the area of changing into an industrial use.
[9:08]
We are concerned that this collectively affect our home, our peace, our quiet, more than anything the ability to stay here long-term.
[9:20]
I'm losing the place that we call home.
[9:28]
My name is Elizabeth Lindyberg.
[9:30]
I'm South Korea.
[9:30]
I just drove up here because I was on the chat.
[9:34]
But the chat is disabled and I think I'm also muted so that when I said I had a public comment, I was not able.
[9:40]
I was not hurt.
[9:42]
What I would like to say is that I think that changing the zoning for this purpose sets a dangerous precedent.
[9:49]
for future zoning and with the zoning rules the way they are there's a reason for that and just
[9:58]
picking, picking and choosing when we change them I don't think it's a sustainable or a wise choice.
[10:08]
Thank you.
[10:20]
Have a good comment too.
[10:24]
Are you reading or...
[10:25]
Yeah, I'll read it to you guys, I just want to talk to you guys.
[10:29]
Dear members of the select board, as you know, full of sin and gravel is requesting the
[10:34]
select board directed to plant a commission to hold the public hearing for the purpose of
[10:38]
considering changing the planning map designation from agricultural residential to commercial
[10:45]
industrial.
[10:46]
I respectfully ask that you denied this request.
[10:50]
The current request to change the planning map designation of a single parcel was the
[10:56]
subject of public hearings before the Planning Commission in select board in 2024 in the
[11:03]
Planion Commission in 2025, a budding and area residence identified disturbances to the residential area
[11:10]
from existing industrial operations. Disturbances to the budding residential areas from their
[11:17]
Industrial operation says not been minimized.
[11:21]
Third question before the DINB select board does not comply with the current DINB town plan,
[11:27]
because the service to the Abunding residential area has not been minimized.
[11:32]
In 2025, over 220, over 200 people signed a petition to send it to the Danube Planning Commission
[11:43]
to retain the current town plan, future land map use, and reject full of sand and gravel
[11:50]
proposal to amend the Danube's town plan, future land use map from agricultural rural
[11:57]
residential to commercial industrial to enable expansion of core blasting unless and until
[12:04]
ongoing problems with property damage, asphalt, dunes, dust, noise and property
[12:10]
devaluation or addressed.
[12:13]
The issues identified in the public hearing cell in 2024, in 2025, as described in the 2025
[12:20]
petition continue to exist.
[12:22]
Please, on of the petition, and deny this request to change the planning map,
[12:28]
desiccation of one parcel until the disturbances to the body, residential area,
[12:34]
have addressed and minimized.
[12:36]
Thank you.
[12:41]
So, I've messaged everybody that we're having some issues with hearing the speaker.
[12:48]
Anybody who's online, please send me a message, and I will relay it.
[12:53]
best I can do. I am getting messages. So as soon as everybody's done here I do have one message
[13:00]
that I can read from Abby and if anybody else has anything online please send it to me.
[13:07]
Apologies again. Anybody has a better luck with technology. You're welcome to take
[13:12]
meeting facility.
[13:15]
I feel the time right now. What else to do here?
[13:17]
So can you bring more of the hot?
[13:20]
Gary there.
[13:21]
I have two things I want to raise in that issue.
[13:24]
I'd like to let the issues which other folks have
[13:26]
so I'll already address.
[13:28]
It has to do with the select board and the select board
[13:31]
and the select board processes.
[13:33]
And the first is that you all have select board members,
[13:38]
you're also citizens of Dambi because we are as well.
[13:41]
And there's time for those roles for you to get concluded.
[13:44]
And you are both a select board member
[13:46]
of the citizen, and in this case, Thomas addressing the board as a citizen, and as a
[13:51]
select board, you have well-established procedures around members of the community wanting to
[13:56]
address the select board.
[13:57]
And I would really encourage you to make sure you could hear those as you would for any
[14:01]
other member of the community who comes before this.
[14:04]
In this second point that I'd like to make is that to me this seems like a little bit of a
[14:09]
new to request as being made, not the specific request, but I would ask the select board to
[14:15]
to make sure that it's prepared, that if in the future I come to you or any other citizen or taxpayer, again, it comes to you with a similar request to the right, a letter to the plan of commission to change a town plan.
[14:29]
Are you prepared to consider that as well, too, so that you're not doing a one-off.
[14:34]
But if I want to come here in a year and make a similar request for changing the designation that you'd be prepared to do that as well.
[14:51]
My name is Suzanne Cosby, I've lived in Dan Bay for over 52 years.
[14:56]
Not that that matters.
[15:00]
I really want to keep the plan the way it is. It doesn't seem the right time to try to change the plan.
[15:07]
So I'm asking you to please understand that.
[15:11]
I have a letter here from my daughter Emily. She says, this is Emily Crosby writing,
[15:17]
as a fifth generation member of the town of Danvy, this town was very special to my father and to me.
[15:25]
Changing the face of it by making the one ugly thing in the town bigger will detour our tourist trade
[15:32]
There are many shops and town that rely on tourism. I do hope that the select board will direct the planning commission
[15:39]
To look into all of the factors that affect our town now and we'll definitely have an adverse effect as time goes on
[15:49]
Could I give that to you?
[15:51]
So, thank you.
[15:58]
And that's it.
[15:59]
I sent you a letter.
[16:01]
And I have printed copies where you could like them.
[16:05]
I'm not going to read it.
[16:06]
But I wanted to just point out the main points.
[16:12]
And the first one is that this is the quest as akin to what's called spot-toning,
[16:17]
which is generally found upon.
[16:19]
and it's considered legal and in the definition of a found that, perhaps, the most important
[16:26]
criteria in determining spot zoning is the extent to which the disputed zoning is consistent
[16:32]
with the municipality's comprehensive plan. So, our time plan has an expiration date in two years.
[16:40]
We really do need to get going on it. It's quite a process. Those of us who served on the
[16:45]
commission notes, and it does say the next
[16:49]
of use is between residential light, commercial,
[16:52]
and commercial industrial earth extraction
[16:54]
operations occurs within the borrower area
[16:57]
and along Route 7 in the northern part of town.
[17:00]
These operations strive to minimize disturbance
[17:03]
to the abiding residential area and the town
[17:05]
realizes the benefits of these operations.
[17:09]
And I think that we've heard over the last couple of years
[17:11]
that the impacts could be minimized,
[17:13]
and they have not been.
[17:15]
And so when we look at whether or not
[17:19]
or request like this, it comprises our time plan
[17:22]
and then the idea of changing it,
[17:24]
it actually already doesn't comply.
[17:26]
But we'll have the opportunity to look at the time plan
[17:29]
a new within the next two years.
[17:33]
That this dimension that a petition was signed, that language
[17:35]
was read, and I think it's important to recognize
[17:40]
how much work people point into. It's not just the people in the village, the time that
[17:45]
there was widespread all around town. It was presented to the planning commission. It should
[17:50]
be in your files for the planning committee record, so you can ask Jolly Taylor where it is
[17:55]
because she was given all the copies of it.
[18:00]
So the other part of this that I find kind of amusing
[18:04]
is the request to win the discussion at the Planning Commission to issues that are addressed by
[18:09]
So here's the Vermont Act of 50 Handbook.
[18:12]
It's very extensive.
[18:15]
If you want to give a copy to every member of the Planning Commission
[18:18]
and we thought as to speak, look at it and say,
[18:21]
well, wait, that's covered by Act of 50.
[18:22]
Actually, Act of 50 covers just about everything
[18:24]
that we would be talking about as part of this.
[18:28]
So I think that our right to free speech is important
[18:31]
and I also think that the request is simply unrealistic.
[18:35]
I think I understand where it's coming from,
[18:37]
but I'm a supporter of Act 250 through my work and I think it's a good law but it covers
[18:44]
pretty much everything you want to cover including town plans. So I respectfully request that
[18:50]
you did not request and I've got four copies here because I'm viewing Tom's a member of
[19:06]
the
[19:15]
I'm just going to read it for the word here.
[19:21]
We've been through this, it's Abby.
[19:22]
She doesn't have a last name.
[19:24]
Abby, if you can send me a chat, with you last name.
[19:27]
I'll devote that to you at the board.
[19:29]
That would be very helpful.
[19:31]
People online, if you can do your full name,
[19:34]
board with you, appreciate it.
[19:37]
If I husband and I have just moved to 81 easy street
[19:41]
from New Up spending time.
[19:44]
We are hoping to start a family here in a peaceful place in the mountains.
[19:49]
We don't know all the history of what's going on, but we hope we can live in a place as peaceful as when we purchase our home.
[19:59]
Thank you very much.
[20:03]
And her net last name is I apologize if I'd butcher this.
[20:07]
We're a listsick, it's W-A-L-L-I-S-C-H.
[20:12]
Oh, I'll wash anybody else online. Again, I messaged a couple of times, please send me a chat directly and I could relate questions as we go.
[20:29]
No other chat, messages.
[20:32]
Hey, Ralph, sit, do you more comments from the public?
[20:37]
Oh, I'll leave it. I don't. I was not able to type anything in the chat, so you may not be getting things.
[20:44]
Somehow Abby is able to do it.
[20:46]
Okay, I'm not a tech genius myself, so the beef user error.
[20:55]
Oh, it's getting tough.
[20:58]
There are users who are not able to chat. Not just me.
[21:02]
Folks online, I am going to both meeting and come back in one more time.
[21:09]
That's all I can do.
[21:11]
Okay, so bear with me, reconnect with the meeting, and a couple of minutes here.
[21:20]
So.
[21:20]
Greg, would you mind if I said something?
[21:21]
No, absolutely.
[21:22]
Great.
[21:22]
I'm so relieved of the dance community, my entire life.
[21:26]
I've looked 24 and a half years up on easy straight.
[21:29]
I'll say that I'm probably not, I'm not along with thinking along the same lines as most of you.
[21:36]
Um, I, what I see is, um, I see a, uh, business that's thriving in our town, whether
[21:43]
our new businesses, I see, um, people that are working good job and I think that that
[21:49]
is that to me is very valuable as a member of this community.
[21:53]
Um, I will say my piece is not disrupted by what is happening.
[21:57]
I live on easy street.
[21:59]
I, I, I, I, I, like I said, then here in my whole life, it doesn't disrupt me.
[22:02]
I'm not concerned about the expansion at all.
[22:06]
I don't know, I have to admit that I don't care to read the entire thing.
[22:13]
I just, from a perspective of living here, I have no concerns with it.
[22:18]
And I know that everyone in this term may think differently, but I don't have any concerns.
[22:22]
I just want to say that because no one else is saying that.
[22:24]
Thank you.
[22:26]
Okay, so we've had two people join back online, have one of them to see.
[22:30]
I'm crossing my fingers.
[22:34]
Abby, do you want to try speaking once more for us?
[22:43]
We can hear you.
[22:45]
All right.
[22:48]
If you'd like to add anything to what I said, feel free.
[22:54]
I don't think I have anything to add.
[22:56]
Other than what was already said, thank you.
[23:03]
Not such an idea.
[23:04]
No, do we have others?
[23:06]
We only have two people who are about it back in
[23:09]
Howdy and Christopher.
[23:09]
I mean, they just have to join again.
[23:15]
I was hoping you would just put me in the bus.
[23:18]
You message and you were leaving or the message to see if they'll try.
[23:22]
Is that it, verbally?
[23:23]
I, I'll be, do you hurt each other say everybody join in again?
[23:28]
You get disconnected?
[23:30]
But yes, I did.
[23:32]
Okay, well, it's all we can do.
[23:34]
Because I'd like to speak under public comment.
[23:39]
Okay, she did one question on another topic, so yeah, I wanted to know what the Smoky House had to do if he wanted to talk.
[23:49]
That's what they did. It submitted a useful impact question there.
[23:53]
He got it for an extra 50 a minute for a single family house and I think they're going to speak.
[24:01]
You know, it's what's on there for though.
[24:02]
is it? Right, we just can't talk about it when he presents. So I just want to find out what it was
[24:07]
about.
[24:10]
Yeah, I can let you find out. Hi, I'm Walker. I'm one of the programs that I can get some
[24:15]
guests going to see well. Yeah, we're, this is a part of one of our ongoing research projects
[24:21]
exploring sustainable uses of local wood and modern building. So we're putting up a 350 square
[24:28]
sort of pilot housing structure that the problem has, sort of our interns, some of the
[24:35]
odors farm workers at the time, it's not right around our central campus. So we've gone through
[24:41]
we have an exact existing after 50 amendment because of a lot of the ground up that's back in,
[24:46]
I think it was the 80s because we had that existing permit any time we do anything development-wise,
[24:53]
Yeah, that's right by the man.
[24:57]
Thank you.
[25:07]
Well, one thing I want to bring up to everybody is, which is concerning to me, is two months ago,
[25:14]
and maybe three months ago now, the Rutland Regional Plan had changed.
[25:20]
And they took over a thousand acres of forest and egg and turned it to commercial
[25:25]
the face of the mountain on Dorset Mountain, the face to the town, which is everyone can see.
[25:33]
And my problem is that I didn't see a letter a person. I mean, I'm the one that went to the meetings in argued about it.
[25:41]
Now, we're talking a 12 acre parcel, which is 0.0047 percent of the town,
[25:49]
which has already 75% for us than Ag.
[25:54]
But we had a thousand acre commercial that is owned by a foreign company that doesn't even know where
[26:00]
Dambias and I didn't see any outrage here.
[26:04]
So I guess under public comment, I wanted to find out why we're all worried about 12 acres
[26:09]
that an existing operation that none of you will ever see.
[26:14]
And we had a thousand acres that I sat there and argued about
[26:18]
And that's well aware of that and so I just want to bring up many other things have gone on here that maybe went under the radar of everybody.
[26:31]
Thanks.
[26:31]
Thank you.
[26:35]
All right.
[26:35]
So really cool.
[26:37]
How do you get?
[26:37]
All right.
[26:38]
This is about the previous topic.
[26:40]
This is a one of the day on the road situation with my house and my foundation.
[26:46]
We haven't seen any erosion, Joe and I have not had a chance to meet up yet.
[26:52]
I'm last night's rain, I'm out.
[26:54]
Oh, you did get erosion?
[26:56]
Last night, I didn't get a chance to come up.
[26:57]
One, three, I was over two, thirty, trying to reroute the route.
[27:00]
One, I thought.
[27:01]
See, because the two previous rains, it didn't do anything.
[27:04]
No, it was just missing.
[27:06]
Last night wasn't a whole other volcano.
[27:08]
Okay.
[27:10]
Did you clean it up?
[27:11]
Or can't the soil?
[27:12]
Is it still staying in the way?
[27:13]
deep out of my barrier to try to move the water. I know they're about myself trying to move the water,
[27:19]
so it's not flooding my basement. You know I mean it's it's it is something that we do want to solve.
[27:27]
The only problem is it's been an issue and you were in the last meeting with Ed and Joe and
[27:32]
it's just there's no just magic bolt on this and we've discussed that Joe called me the other day on it
[27:40]
we were discussing it, but I, but in the meantime, his house isn't flooding minus.
[27:45]
Yeah, no one, and the thing is, it didn't just happen.
[27:50]
This has gone out for years, and we want to fix it right now.
[27:53]
Now, the nation flooding has happened in the past couple months.
[27:57]
It has gotten worse since the last time the men were up and dumped it too low.
[28:01]
But I can imagine last meeting, and greater than it, even further, to tilt my way.
[28:06]
So it has gotten worse since the last road work that they did.
[28:11]
We really want to solve this issue, but it's not as easy, and you were in and on the meeting.
[28:18]
I mean, if there was just one quick fix, we would do it.
[28:24]
I mean, Steve wouldn't, and Larry would gladly, you know, do it, but we haven't come up with that.
[28:30]
And just a terror, lander to waste money, putting in drain it or something that isn't going
[28:37]
to work, is, you know, so we will get to the bottom of it.
[28:42]
But it needs to happen sooner rather than later, because from last meeting, until now, all
[28:46]
top of stop, that won't be in my home.
[28:51]
Well, I think we had the last meeting.
[28:52]
It was, we did agree, you have to meet together with Joel, right?
[28:55]
Yeah.
[28:55]
quick if we, what I'd like to see is just that if we can make that that meeting with Joe
[29:01]
Hap and the sea with to something to do, remember we discussed trying to get something done
[29:04]
then I'm sure, yet no I just make sure we're going to hurt the meeting to try to get something done
[29:09]
that we can do this doable in the short term to try to help a little bit while we're trying to work
[29:14]
through what everybody agreed that meeting was not a quick and not an expensive, and I understand.
[29:20]
So what I'd like to see is we did say we would meet I just make sure we can kind of fall through with that
[29:27]
We go to see if there's any quick pieces like we talk
[29:32]
But when the shoulders I guess try to get some water off prior to getting there just some things
[29:35]
You guys have to discuss as that meeting we can fall through with that in the short term. I've had a pretty
[29:42]
Is
[29:45]
that reasonable yeah, yeah, I'm just going to meet with him. He hasn't had a chance
[29:51]
I'm just waiting to hear what
[29:53]
We're doing it.
[29:56]
Oh, you're not like we're doing it.
[29:57]
Put a lot of that.
[29:58]
Test solution.
[29:59]
It's just...
[30:00]
It's been three weeks and, you know, this time of the year, it stopped between Joe and my scheduled to make it happen.
[30:07]
I'm fully understanding you know, Tony, we've talked before. I'm very reasonable. My concern now is it's going to get pushed to the fall in the winter and now from spring. I'm going to have all this spring or not. It is going to get twice as bad.
[30:21]
We will get, I mean, and I'm not guaranteeing the solution. I'm saying we will come up with some sort of solution.
[30:28]
I need to happen before we enter something right before we enter.
[30:32]
No, and I would hope we can implement it when we're up there doing the fall grading.
[30:48]
Yeah.
[30:48]
Yeah.
[30:48]
That makes it common.
[30:49]
Yeah.
[30:50]
Some of what I heard.
[30:53]
Public comment part.
[30:56]
Two things.
[30:57]
Number one.
[30:59]
I heard several people refer to zoning and a zoning change.
[31:06]
And spot zoning.
[31:07]
We don't have any of that in dampy. There is no zoning. What we're talking about is changing lines on a land use map.
[31:19]
Most of you recall I was chairman of the Planning Commission for many years.
[31:26]
And in that time we made several changes on the land use map and the most major one was up here at the north end of town.
[31:35]
And we made both sides of Route 7 commercial, just so that buttercream, fun center could go in.
[31:44]
So it does happen. This is not some unique change all beside them.
[31:51]
So I have to say.
[31:57]
Well, I don't know if anybody else was public comment before we move on.
[32:03]
Now that you're familiar.
[32:04]
Do
[32:08]
you know that few people texting that they have been sending you break since they have
[32:13]
pretty hidden on the chat?
[32:15]
Yes.
[32:16]
So I'm related to any of this, oh my god.
[32:19]
In our mainstream, the last few times the town is in line.
[32:22]
It means you didn't get line.
[32:23]
I don't know.
[32:23]
I don't know why.
[32:24]
There's line.
[32:25]
Scott's fill the other day.
[32:27]
How come your mainstream hasn't been aligned?
[32:29]
The town doesn't paint the roads.
[32:31]
That's state.
[32:32]
And it's only roads that connect from town to town.
[32:38]
So they've paid from Route 7 to Paul it and
[32:43]
The North Dane Street has no relation to any of that
[32:47]
Nope
[32:48]
Those doesn't the time I think that North Dane Street should be maybe invoked into that because the amount of traffic that's on it
[32:55]
And it's 40 miles an hour
[32:58]
The town could hire a different company to do it, but the lines that are on the road right now is
[33:05]
Was done by the state
[33:06]
And there was a grant available a couple years ago and I got them to line North and South
[33:18]
Main Street and also put white stripes on the side to hopefully see these structures out
[33:24]
here since it's been a long time.
[33:27]
Yeah.
[33:27]
Oh, I don't know.
[33:27]
I know.
[33:28]
I'm right.
[33:30]
It'd be good.
[33:31]
Yeah, it would be nice.
[33:34]
And, you know, at budget time, you said the thing is that we need to, from the thought book, would you put it in the budget?
[33:49]
Yeah.
[33:50]
All right.
[33:50]
I have another topic in you to address the dog situation on Guslero.
[33:55]
I need to know what's happening with the neighbor's dog that was bitten by a rabbit fox.
[34:01]
It is still running.
[34:05]
But I can type what that was.
[34:07]
You know, obviously the dog after the funeral, the episode started.
[34:12]
So the dog would go to the vet, the dogs, you know, for the booster as required by the
[34:18]
Vermont Health Department, who was took that over once the fox was tested and so on.
[34:26]
I reached out to the, you know, the vet couldn't confirm that.
[34:30]
I spoke to the sheriff to make a couple of things and then came through the dogs weren't licensed
[34:36]
And I actually spoke to the resident and they gave us the Saturday and they gave it for the Wednesday
[34:45]
at three o'clock to register the dogs
[34:48]
And she did register her dogs and she did prove that she had the vaccinations before so that I'm just giving you some
[34:54]
So the dog
[34:55]
We're always considered fully vaccinated by the state of Vermont
[34:59]
And it was confirmed by which he licensed the dogs. I did also get a sheriff and asked the sheriff
[35:05]
to go by there when they were on their patrol to ensure that dogs were falling through with the observation
[35:13]
period that the state of my health department had laid out for her and had not heard back from this year.
[35:21]
So I'm going to talk to the sheriff and I asked them to go by when they were in danger patrol and I will help me fall for the sheriff.
[35:28]
You know, and I did reach out to another resident who was email me was what's been going on with that situation and
[35:35]
You know, there was some certain
[35:38]
You know, originally you have told us you're quarantining. That was not what she was told to do is I'm serving and
[35:44]
Dodged running at large. Yes, and that's I still be asked to ask to share because it is another issue with our
[35:51]
Dog policy of dogs running at large. So I will solve with the sheriff department they've been up there
[35:57]
if not, I will remind of again, I request again that they take the time to be up there.
[36:02]
They check on it.
[36:02]
If you guys have times, people have time, things, things, you can reach out to the share.
[36:07]
Even the specifics say, you know, these dogs are running here.
[36:10]
It's just time, whatever. Anything you do.
[36:12]
You can contact the share if yourself as well.
[36:14]
You can also send an email to me.
[36:16]
Would they just...
[36:16]
I don't know.
[36:17]
I don't know.
[36:18]
I don't know.
[36:23]
So I'd like to know that.
[36:24]
So if you can, anytime you email me, those times you call them or something, so I can
[36:29]
follow up with that because we do pay them, we pay them good money, and we should be getting
[36:34]
a service for that cash that we're putting out each year.
[36:39]
So if you can, if you just, if you have just email the times where you call them, and they
[36:44]
should have record, I'd like to have that so I can call them.
[36:47]
Do you know the rules of the observation is that the box will be released or can he be running?
[36:50]
So, the observation, it says under the under the under the under the control.
[36:57]
Now, it's not even the health department not even requiring, they don't even require a proof that the dog's vaccine is when that whole thing that was surprised to me.
[37:06]
So, when they lay off the observation period, our dog ordinance, I don't have a witness, to recall,
[37:13]
and dogs would say they're running at large. There's a definition for running at large and it does leave a little bit of leeway,
[37:22]
but the dogs basically have to be under control whether it's leash, offense or by verbal command,
[37:28]
and not posing an issue to others.
[37:35]
It's not that the residents that were speaking of literally stands on the edge of her property, all into my property, which aggravates my German shepherds.
[37:46]
For that, I'm reaching my dog who's ten years old, never been on the leash before, and I'm not sure there will be a fencing put up on the yard to prevent this.
[37:54]
Can you email me those? I mean some of that please because that's what helps us
[38:00]
Before the dog calls he took because it's not changing and she's not here enjoyed them. We have to do some things
[38:09]
Right, but we have a dog
[38:11]
Ordnance for a reason to came out for a reason for my time. These guys speak the white came about
[38:19]
Well, we'll see
[38:25]
I'm actually killing that resident's other pets that we fought for a week, not a week.
[38:31]
I survived not her to that, but this is a puppy who's not.
[38:35]
You're within your right sifted dogs on your porch to defend yourself if you feel threatened.
[38:40]
I was advised not to, because I could get in trouble for it.
[38:44]
It has to actively be biting myself or my dog.
[38:49]
Now's the bite by the share.
[38:51]
This batch, yes.
[38:59]
So you can send me anything with some of these stuff so I can have me on the awesome reach out to the share and then
[39:08]
We will
[39:09]
Look at these in there, so we have you in for a reason and then we'll address the
[39:15]
Okay,
[39:19]
I
[39:21]
Promise
[39:22]
Like I said a fence will be going on is going up as close to the road as
[39:27]
We can leave you put it and just want to ask the people to take a little easier on my back this
[39:33]
time.
[39:34]
I tried to.
[39:35]
Thank you.
[39:37]
So I think the post we put up for you before we didn't knock down.
[39:41]
Yeah, but it's so miserable.
[39:48]
Great.
[39:49]
That was just kind of just a problem in the meeting notes, like us here in the village.
[39:55]
we have dogs coming running through our property as well, and we have control of our dog, but
[40:02]
she's friendly, so she wants to say hi. We don't know anything about the dogs.
[40:08]
Can I put a note in the meeting minutes just this like words requesting people to?
[40:12]
Yeah, I mean, that's what we have a dog ordinance in that we have a share. We have a health officer,
[40:17]
so that's what we have it there for. So if we don't know the health officer that shares,
[40:21]
You know, that's a work.
[40:23]
We're looking forward to it.
[40:23]
And I would suggest just send an email
[40:25]
because voice calls don't get documented
[40:29]
and email you can come back to.
[40:34]
And in that note that they are responsible for picking up
[40:37]
after their dog.
[40:39]
You can't let your dog use other people's lawns.
[40:43]
Can I please my boards, actually?
[40:47]
Yes.
[40:49]
Yeah.
[40:50]
No, I'm wondering.
[40:56]
Okay, hopefully we're going to have to move on.
[41:03]
Anybody else?
[41:04]
One last call for it because I don't see any heinous ladies going to lie?
[41:09]
Nobody's speaking.
[41:12]
All right.
[41:14]
Motion to adopt a minute.
[41:15]
Select board meeting of August 13th, 2006.
[41:18]
Some of them.
[41:20]
Seconded.
[41:21]
Okay.
[41:22]
Fender?
[41:23]
Thanks, James. Thank you.
[41:29]
All those of favor? All those opposed?
[41:34]
Now we're flying.
[41:36]
All right, information. This is quick. You know, basically, just want to make sure you
[41:39]
re-new tax bills go sent. Thank you, you know, Marvin.
[41:43]
Genius, Lauren, Caitlyn, Brad. You're getting those out?
[41:46]
Got to say very important. Appreciate that.
[41:48]
Quick update on the external audit. They did send the contract that they said.
[41:52]
So, I'll be signing that contract that we've voted on.
[41:55]
They've brought it to send that back and we'll move the next step.
[41:57]
I think Kate will need to send you that piece so we have some idea and they'll be more
[42:01]
coming on that.
[42:03]
Just a quick thing on a union contract, you go, Jason, you know, let's come up this year
[42:08]
and they want you guys to start thinking about it.
[42:10]
I spoke with Ray, you know, we're looking at kind of starting in early November because I really
[42:16]
don't want to wait till mid December to do it personally.
[42:20]
It's like you guys just to make sure you guys think about items for that and the October
[42:23]
media. I'd like to make sure we have points of folks that are going to go shape and we can probably have a meeting to go over.
[42:31]
We'll be able to do an executive session not to discuss our, you will not be there Steve.
[42:37]
I will.
[42:39]
Let's not fear.
[42:41]
So, any questions or comments on that?
[42:46]
Perfect.
[42:46]
And then, just from Mark,
[43:01]
this is a quick note, you know, Mark and Gates, he knows
[43:04]
that he's serving the town as a listener and a sister treasure, he did put out a little
[43:09]
notice that he intends that not to run to real action, again, if his term as a listener
[43:15]
in March of 2008, which I think that's a pretty good notice to the town, and he said,
[43:20]
happily, you know, step down, if it's replacement or found sooner. So I want to kind of just mention
[43:28]
this, though, if people have any interest in becoming a lifter or potentially being a system
[43:35]
treasure, it's happily like to hear from any of you folks who aren't dissipating the town government,
[43:41]
because we would definitely can use people who want to be involved. Or maybe it's a soldier.
[43:47]
We didn't see a lot of for that mad, so we won't have that just, no, so, you know he's puttin'
[43:55]
time and he's really helped out and I definitely appreciate his time and hopefully he's
[43:59]
somewhat of step up to some of his roles and if you are any business, you can email me,
[44:04]
you can email, put the town clerk, no anybody, right?
[44:09]
Okay,
[44:13]
next up will be a next miss.
[44:20]
proposed,
[44:24]
the mock house on rural development does have a cultural community visit program.
[44:30]
This is something that in the past I don't think I would have suggested for Dan B.
[44:35]
But it seems like a good idea for now. We have a lot of things going on with this. We don't
[44:42]
know what's going to happen with a school. We have other issues that keep coming up. We're dealing with
[44:48]
transfer station, but we have a lot of new people in town and I'm seeing positive things happening
[44:54]
in Dendi in a way that I haven't really seen before with you know Yankee Vineyard and
[45:01]
Concerts, and I just am feeling there's a lot of good energy happening in town, and I've watched these
[45:07]
community visits in town and walling for it and Brandon. And they seem to have really helped the community
[45:15]
to find people to want to be involved and seem to improve the community. And so what I'm asking you today is not to do it.
[45:27]
They have a process, I spoke with a person who's in charge, her name is Alyssa Johnson.
[45:32]
I sent you that information, Greg.
[45:35]
And she's on the select board in Waterberry.
[45:38]
So she has a knowledge of select board.
[45:40]
She said she would come down and talk to you, but she also explained the process to me.
[45:46]
That if she is invited, she will come down and she will present to you what's involved.
[45:52]
And then it's the request has to come from the select board.
[45:55]
And then it's not a guarantee you've got a good community vision because they have a lot of requests.
[46:02]
And the timing of it sounds like if you put the ball in motion tonight,
[46:06]
we might have an answer by the time we know what's happening with the school, for instance.
[46:13]
And they then have a program lined out for a pre-visit with a planning committee,
[46:20]
We're planning community members for community members representing diverse interests of the community and our you know step up and then there's community visit day and it's it is a way of getting people more active and involved I think we've we've all seen frustrations with people not you know stepping up to dissipate and and this as far as I can tell is a very positive thing and
[46:48]
Now, I have to do is, at this point, if you're willing, ask a listener to come down and talk to you, and then see if you think it would be a good fit, and maybe it would be a good for Dambis.
[46:58]
Now, the community visit program is at a state agency in that.
[47:02]
Vermont Council on the World Development is an independent and neutral nonprofit organization whose mission is to help Vermont citizens build prosperous and resilient communities through democratic engagement,
[47:14]
marshalling resources and collective action. It has a board. It's board includes people from the federal
[47:21]
delegation, from state agencies, from various interest groups. I mean I've watched this organization
[47:28]
for a while and for a while I didn't really like what they were doing but I'm really liking what they're
[47:33]
doing now and especially when you see the results where who knows what would come out of it for
[47:39]
But I do think that with the school closing, that's kind of the first step towards something's
[47:46]
changing here, and we need to come together and, and it also would help inform updating
[47:52]
the time plan because it would give us a basis for more community outreach.
[47:58]
And it's all about a positive input in terms of what people want to see happen in town.
[48:06]
And if nobody shows up, that tells us something too, but I think that was a good time for it
[48:13]
for Dandy.
[48:14]
You mentioned in your email to the board that they had worked with the town of Wallingford.
[48:21]
They did a community visit in Wallingford, they did one in Brandon, I asked a lot of questions
[48:27]
like have you done anything in a town of the size?
[48:31]
What about the jigs, how spread out we are with the village here and the west side?
[48:37]
She was able to say yes to every single parameter that I gave her to describe what we have
[48:44]
in this community and whether or not it would fit what they did.
[48:49]
Yeah, I started looking at, you know, I looked and I saw some of the towns, I didn't see
[48:52]
long for you.
[48:52]
I saw, like, one of the areas that I saw brand and I saw, you know, and I didn't get into
[48:56]
it too much, but I didn't tell her that.
[48:58]
I think, well, I think we're fairly recent, you know.
[49:01]
But it's kind of interesting, you see things happening in the towns after they visited, and, so, I don't know.
[49:07]
I thought it worked.
[49:07]
Rollin' the dice and seeing if you would be interested in exploring it, and, um, I think I'd like to look into it some more and talk to some of the town through.
[49:15]
I just, my only thing was that the non-profits, and I'm not going to be honest with you, but two of the events they get involved in is like,
[49:22]
there's a lot of meetings, a lot of different things, and then you come out of the reports that says you should,
[49:26]
you could.
[49:26]
That's not what this is about and facilitating what we want and we're not a harmonious
[49:33]
community.
[49:34]
That's okay.
[49:35]
It's good to hear all voices and that's what our democracy is about so yeah I think
[49:40]
would be good to talk to some of the people I think Wallingford is fairly recent I didn't
[49:45]
see a lot of mention on their website the brand and I think did it a while ago and I talked
[49:51]
people who've been through it and see if they think it's valuable, do you know what they did in
[49:57]
long for it. What their program is, the community visit community meeting day, community
[50:03]
resource day, and then they implement the priorities that come out of the community. Specifically,
[50:09]
I couldn't tell you, I'm involved in panel one of the outcomes was one of our recreational trips.
[50:19]
There are tangibles that come out of it based on what happens and I don't know what's
[50:25]
going to happen with the school but I think we're going to know if I'm going to end
[50:28]
to the year and so after that we don't have that as an option for things or if we do,
[50:36]
then informing a lot of that could come out through this plus get a more input on the time plan
[50:44]
we usually get. I'm trying to be constructive and positive here and helping us figure out how
[50:53]
to make this a good place. I like to talk to some of the towns around have done it and see what
[50:59]
they feel they got from it. They felt that it was worth it for what they wanted to do and stuff.
[51:07]
Like I said, I've been skeptical of it, but it feels like it's a good thing for us right now.
[51:13]
or in a few months.
[51:17]
Yeah, thank you.
[51:29]
Next up is Michael Ad.
[51:37]
You're representing the business report construction.
[51:40]
I have to do a replacement for our line on six or nine in the room.
[51:46]
Have you already been far?
[51:49]
What was the answer to in my call?
[51:53]
Six or nine?
[51:56]
Here's kind of a diagram of what's got to go on.
[51:59]
I got across the road, I got a big in the barn, and then I'm going to cross the road here.
[52:08]
We're looking at like 70 feet from here to here, but I went in, the old line diagnosed across the road,
[52:16]
and I'd rather go straight across and then parallel the road and get to the house.
[52:22]
I'm thinking I'm going to have the road shutting down the through traffic for one day.
[52:26]
and I'm hoping in the right around like the 23rd, 24th.
[52:31]
And it looks like it's toners and it's wearing a toners. So, they, you would close it from one direction at their house. I closed it both side of the toners house, but it would only be shut down from the door side, so that you could still gain access in the north side, help them's got to go.
[52:53]
Okay, so the signage you would be able to use. You could put it down by I'm going to call it how
[53:01]
it helps us up in a couple of signs up in different places because it's coming down. I don't think anyone really cares
[53:09]
out of like staples roads going up though. I think and you'd probably want to give up typically what we've been
[53:17]
when we do culverts is we put a sign out the week before this is road closed with the date.
[53:26]
So there's a $20 question. It depends on the weather and I've got to hand it inside this
[53:33]
barn first. I got 30 feet of a big end inside this barn before I can get to the road and that's all
[53:39]
got to be done first. So that could wager on a day or two depending on how this project goes from.
[53:45]
So there's a frost-free going 30 feet inside the barn.
[53:49]
Typically what we do in Mike is we put the sign now and we'll say September 1st through
[53:56]
the 7th.
[53:58]
So if there's a blanket of one we're going to do up.
[54:02]
You've got to hand dig that, it's going to take you three days to hand dig.
[54:05]
Yeah, I've got to ask the better everything that I can do.
[54:08]
So you've got an idea how long it's going to take you to hand dig that.
[54:12]
So just warn at a couple days prior, correct.
[54:16]
And then you're going to have to put a sign
[54:18]
at each end of their own, because if you do it,
[54:22]
just break it at their house, then you're
[54:23]
going to have people pissed off.
[54:25]
Exactly.
[54:25]
So I was thinking maybe something down on the black top
[54:28]
by the haunted house.
[54:29]
And like Josh, Scott's Bill, down at the corner there,
[54:33]
this says no through traffic.
[54:38]
No through traffic, or we could let you use
[54:41]
a couple of road close signs to put out.
[54:43]
That's what we're supposed to do now.
[54:44]
You want to follow the road because people will get the wrong impression.
[54:47]
They're going to ignore you, too.
[54:50]
I can tell you that from experience.
[54:52]
They're going to drive three miles past your sign to say,
[54:57]
Oh, I got to that house right there.
[54:59]
And you're going to say, yep.
[55:00]
And you've got to go around.
[55:02]
So the closure is going to be just for the working hours.
[55:07]
Starting the day.
[55:07]
You'll have it open.
[55:09]
Yeah, I'm not going to be an overnight thing.
[55:11]
I want to go through there in one day. It's just going to be a one day shot. The road is going to be shut down the through traffic
[55:16]
And there's no reason why I want some active road in front of it. I can't just bang across
[55:20]
I'm going to go 60 deep in the ground. The other pike. It's in the ground. It's at six. But I have to do a repair last month
[55:27]
There's an old galby line that's in there. It's been in there since the early 80s or before hand and it's all
[55:32]
Corridon and that's my car bottles all over and I cut a band-aid on it
[55:37]
Yes, it's short lived.
[55:38]
So what days was it you were thinking of the 21st of September?
[55:44]
Of September.
[55:45]
Now, I guess, other than let's Steve know when it's actually, you're going to let the
[55:51]
fire department know that so they're well aware of it.
[55:57]
So they don't come screaming up through there and find out they've got to go around.
[56:04]
You guys want to see that as you put this material back in, you just want to know anything that I want to see is to talk material gets put back on top and you're going to sleep this this kind of music.
[56:18]
I don't think sleeping that's a good idea.
[56:21]
I mean, if you want to sleep, I don't like vibrations in the ground because I thank you for these problems with water lines because of the surgeon and the vibrations on water, if you want to sleep, we can.
[56:34]
I personally don't think it's a good idea.
[56:38]
If you watch a garden help shake when you turn on and turn it off, if you sleep something that's not tight in the ground, it's going to start doing this.
[56:44]
And within a few short years, it's going to be rubbing on our rocks, some words, and I'm really fixing it.
[56:50]
That's a lot of job security.
[56:52]
I don't know.
[56:53]
I don't know.
[56:55]
I mean I suppose what the road is that it's not going to be the end of the world if it's
[57:05]
got to be replaced again and got to be dug up the only reason.
[57:08]
The sleeve is especially on the black top is so that we're not cutting into the red one.
[57:13]
Black top.
[57:14]
Right.
[57:15]
So what I'm saying is I guess I can't think of any reason.
[57:25]
Yeah, I guess the only other thing is to, you're going to maintain that for a month, as far as when it needs to be filled back in, if it's there's any style of that.
[57:44]
I'm going to follow up on my own jobs for sure.
[57:47]
So remember the time you guys go through there,
[57:49]
We're very into the fall should be all set and I think I'm going to bring up a ring of the list
[57:54]
series so it's not going to be a four-foot film.
[57:57]
Yeah, I just want to make sure when there's so many calls and there's this serious bump that it's not
[58:02]
Steve that's not pictures that I think we don't need pictures of the desk.
[58:09]
I think Michael put it in at six foot.
[58:11]
I do have a picture of existing depth that I repair the other day.
[58:16]
I didn't have a tape measure on it, but you can see the depth.
[58:24]
And being a town road if you didn't go six feet.
[58:27]
But it frees as it's not our fault.
[58:30]
It's kind of hard to get me the depth right there, but I did dig it down with a shovel.
[58:34]
And then that's the repair I ended up doing because of the carbuncles that are all over it.
[58:39]
It's just a band-aid.
[58:40]
If you start screwing with that, it'll get a nice pipe and you're going to have more problems
[58:43]
than anything else.
[58:44]
That's about the only fix you can come up with or something that's 35-40 years in your
[58:48]
dirt.
[58:49]
But it's kind of hard to see, but I did date tape measure and it was 60 in your own, so I
[58:55]
would go back to 60 in the ground because I'd have seen 50 something plus inches across
[58:59]
the road.
[59:00]
Yeah, no.
[59:00]
You will see it freeze if you don't.
[59:03]
Yep.
[59:03]
I'm going to be on the PSI Polly, there's two pieces, I Polly, so it's a couple of things I've done in the market.
[59:14]
If you guys are good with this, as long as you don't find the fire department and you're signing it as Steve and Tom Moore.
[59:19]
And I will call the panel and let them know prior to the projects that I need to get in on that day as well too.
[59:24]
Because it's going to be very important about the day to defend them and how we get out of the barn.
[59:31]
Timway, I'm bored with that?
[59:32]
Yep.
[59:33]
Yeah, I don't see any Brian in there.
[59:35]
So I've got a question for you while you're here. Staples. Staples, bro. You filled in the water turned that.
[59:42]
I did. Yeah, I didn't want the water to run on that way.
[59:46]
And it was blind or standing in that culvert was taken out that you agreed to leave that water turned in there.
[59:56]
I don't quite call that conversation.
[1:00:02]
I'll be following you guys one on Monday and about 75 feet. I will already call the work.
[1:00:11]
So you just go and direct it to your neighbor and go and send it back into the train you should just go on my property.
[1:00:18]
No, to my neighbor. But if you say this is a neighbor, but it goes to the day and the journey is just go on my property.
[1:00:25]
Which is on the feet.
[1:00:33]
This is a constant erosion now.
[1:00:36]
It hasn't yet, but it hasn't last night checked out this morning and it could have actually
[1:00:42]
an order to boost rates rate across through there weren't supposed to, and it wasn't about
[1:00:46]
that deep enough that light.
[1:00:49]
We're just adding more speed to the water again, all right.
[1:00:53]
But it's cool, so if there's a pool there, so a stop to speed if you go look, there's a
[1:00:58]
puddle that I left, probably about that big to slow the water down, so there's a pond
[1:01:03]
who would have worked this over now.
[1:01:08]
Okay.
[1:01:11]
And I did plant some or everybody use this.
[1:01:13]
I see that.
[1:01:18]
All right.
[1:01:19]
All right.
[1:01:19]
Thank you.
[1:01:20]
You tell.
[1:01:24]
No motion or anything?
[1:01:28]
No.
[1:01:28]
He's asking.
[1:01:31]
All right.
[1:01:32]
Next topic.
[1:01:33]
Fourth in gravel.
[1:01:35]
Letter.
[1:01:41]
So you guys have seen the letter?
[1:01:45]
Public comment.
[1:01:57]
So, the letter was requesting you to ask them to re-look at this, I mean, that's the only thing the letter is really asking for, all right.
[1:02:11]
Since the last time this went around,
[1:02:16]
you did some more blasting, it's more serving on effects, so they have that new information to look at.
[1:02:28]
I don't see a problem revisiting this myself.
[1:02:33]
Well, then I think the reason we ask to try to limit the scope of it is there's actually
[1:02:42]
the planning commission gets two dives in on this because as dealing with just land, which
[1:02:51]
is the only thing you can really deal with because there's no application at hand for discussion
[1:02:56]
on. I mean, if there was something to discuss as far as a project right now, we're just asking
[1:03:03]
for a land. If an act 250 permit or is ever submitted for a project there, the planning commission,
[1:03:15]
then gets to review that and has party status at that point, too. So that's basically when
[1:03:22]
there's actually the meat and potatoes of a project can be seen. Right now it's hyperbably
[1:03:29]
if anything's going on other than a request for land change on the map. I think as all of you
[1:03:40]
know that the last the first hearing it was unanimously passed with the planning commission.
[1:03:47]
And the second time there was three people that abstained last minute after participating,
[1:03:56]
which technically isn't the way a hearing you're supposed to put out that you're not going to participate in your abstain in before.
[1:04:04]
So it was quite flawed as far as that went.
[1:04:09]
And obviously in the misfull end of it we were down to three votes on that because I couldn't vote in.
[1:04:17]
So I think at that point, we're just asking for the hearing to be held maybe and put the
[1:04:25]
guardrails on for the initial phases because right now I think when we were in the first hearing
[1:04:31]
for the second hearing they brought in mockups. Well without us even submitting an application
[1:04:37]
I don't know how people are doing mockups of what things are going to look like and I think that's
[1:04:43]
Probably the biggest misnomer is that everybody knows what's going on in the world without any single application be insimited
[1:04:51]
So that's why I'm asking what we're asking for
[1:04:57]
So I got a question for you Greg you're on a planning commission. I was the second time that this went through and three people of staying
[1:05:11]
Would it be fair to say it was because they were pressured
[1:05:15]
by other people not to vote, I know that is the case with my wife because she was basically
[1:05:21]
told because I'm on the flight board or that I'm on the road crew I work for Tom and she
[1:05:26]
couldn't vote.
[1:05:27]
I'm not going to speak other people, but my own opinion of that hearing was I felt that there
[1:05:32]
was, you know, a family I guess intimidation because it's adhering itself, you know, we were
[1:05:38]
huge several things that I felt weren't right but I'm not going to speak for other people.
[1:05:42]
You know, I can only speak for myself and I spoke quite a bit at that meeting, I've done some research in my own, I've spoken to the state, I spoke to the force of an officer, I spoke to the lady who takes care of the plastic inspections, I've spoken to the air quality folks, I've done a fair amount of research at that meeting because I do take people's concerns and I did listen and I also believe, you know, my personal opinion is we have,
[1:06:12]
the company they are, they provide a resource that we all use, we all need.
[1:06:17]
And right now it's a parcel that butts the current property and yes, there are a lot of things nearby.
[1:06:24]
But, you know, where is it going to be?
[1:06:26]
You know, where are we going to get this stuff from?
[1:06:28]
And he doesn't toy people, and I'm not saying it's without, you know,
[1:06:32]
he's not saying it's no impact.
[1:06:34]
You don't have any kind of operation.
[1:06:35]
That was just nothing happened to folks.
[1:06:37]
But when I spoke to the state, I had a lot of questions to them.
[1:06:40]
email, they stopped on the phone, like automation from them on the blasting, different reports,
[1:06:46]
the different things that have come through, the amount of investigations they did,
[1:06:49]
the amount of complaints, a lot of anonymous things that they responded to, and, you know,
[1:06:55]
they basically told me they deal with facts and things, and they also made it clear that the floor
[1:07:01]
operation is probably the most highly scrutinized one in the state. And yet, you know, they had not
[1:07:08]
write me zero evidence of other interactions and things and so that you know that didn't
[1:07:12]
need something to me and I do feel that's important for the town so for me that's what I
[1:07:18]
look at it. Deans your question. I cannot not speak to the folks Steve. I mean there was a lot
[1:07:21]
of things going on. I did not feel that hearing was all that I don't like being personally attacked
[1:07:25]
and here's the things and people don't know me. I do a lot of research. I listen to it.
[1:07:30]
I lead my decision. In the court, excuse your things and threaten things, I don't really find that to be really part of where I consider being a process that we should have in this town personally.
[1:07:41]
And I also looked up the see if he has a right to bring that letter back to us.
[1:07:46]
And for myself, I'm going to say honestly, I'm okay asking the Planning Commission to look at this again.
[1:07:51]
They should be on the wrong. They have to fall state statute. It's you know, they are appointed by us
[1:07:57]
But they have statues and crosses to fall on their own
[1:08:01]
You know, because those external people that we're going to try to direct and force
[1:08:04]
Has not my intention, you know if this board votes to do it to be able to email to them and then there's gonna be other information prize of them
[1:08:11]
They'll have to have a hearing and go through the process and
[1:08:15]
That's what I have to say on the subject
[1:08:18]
So it seems to me that all of you, the public comment in you, you had your chance, so on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on right so we did hear that right I'm listening I'm not ignoring it but what we're doing is looking at the same thing as a land use change the activity process if it even gets to that is a process where it has to be an application and that's very well where I took 50 I haven't dealt with this
[1:08:50]
side just the utility side but all the stuff comes out everything you know the engineers
[1:08:57]
and scientists all the stuff comes out the town's party to it any of the
[1:09:01]
butters can be a party to it all kinds of different that's a process right I feel
[1:09:06]
personally that he is right to get to that and go through that
[1:09:12]
and I believe there is some
[1:09:13]
benefit to town from the software issues you know we have miles and miles of road you know
[1:09:20]
This product is here, the materials in the ground there, and it's just hard to make it.
[1:09:25]
Nobody seems to want anything to happen on a place, it does nothing to do like this.
[1:09:31]
It doesn't impact something, there's no doubt.
[1:09:35]
And he's unsuperious strict, pretty strict, I guess they regulations and inspections.
[1:09:42]
And that's what I'll say.
[1:09:48]
So is there more discussion from the board?
[1:09:50]
I'll just reiterate what I said before that, you know, maps have been changed midtown plan several times, so that I know I'll finish this.
[1:09:59]
I'm not in the article.
[1:10:01]
I'm in the article.
[1:10:01]
Excuse me.
[1:10:03]
Excuse me.
[1:10:04]
So you had your chance to speak.
[1:10:07]
You cannot interrupt the board meeting.
[1:10:14]
So this is not the first time something like this has happened.
[1:10:23]
So the request is just to change the properties boundary boundaries from agricultural to commercial.
[1:10:32]
That's all we're asking for at this point.
[1:10:35]
And if that does happen, then it will go back further to the act of 50.
[1:10:41]
And then they will...
[1:10:41]
If you submit it again.
[1:10:44]
If they submit.
[1:10:50]
Yes.
[1:10:53]
So I'll take a motion.
[1:10:54]
I will make a motion to have the planning commission, we look at the change designation
[1:11:04]
of land.
[1:11:06]
for a second.
[1:11:12]
All those in favor.
[1:11:13]
Hi.
[1:11:14]
I am in a recusing myself from the book.
[1:11:16]
All those opposed.
[1:11:22]
That must be carry.
[1:11:24]
For the board.
[1:11:25]
For the board.
[1:11:26]
For the board.
[1:11:29]
For the board.
[1:11:31]
For the board.
[1:11:32]
For the board.
[1:11:40]
The next issue.
[1:11:41]
Smokey L-Factor 50.
[1:11:44]
Except the few folks through.
[1:11:46]
You heard them, you heard the walker speak,
[1:11:53]
and he said, this was an impact questionnaire for the town to fill up and return to those folks so they can continue.
[1:12:03]
So Walker is there a, this is, you've got the plans and permits already to file, this is the last time.
[1:12:14]
And then you're going to file, so then we will actually be able to review.
[1:12:17]
Yeah, we have a similar, it's slightly different questioner, but similar forms that we
[1:12:24]
need, the relevant kind of commission to all sort of sign.
[1:12:28]
Yeah, no, these are pretty generic and, yeah, just as, yeah, yeah, yeah, so maybe, you know,
[1:12:35]
fire protection, we don't have to apply that thing, we've, does it provide it, please, we contract,
[1:12:40]
you know, rest you, we've contracts, road maintenance, we take care, my question, you guys,
[1:12:45]
You guys see this, any reason why I shouldn't tell this out of the sign of not at all?
[1:12:51]
No, it's a quick, I think we just want to do one of them. Most of not just you did. Probably should just do the quick one.
[1:12:57]
I'll make a motion that we have signed the impact question.
[1:13:01]
There are still out the impact question here in the sign of that.
[1:13:05]
Because I guess to further it, go with this is, we actually will see a back to 50.
[1:13:12]
town will get a part of status on it and at that time if there is any questions we can ask it
[1:13:18]
bowls there but this is basically the filing just to check. Cross T's a nice place.
[1:13:27]
Just a quick motion to me to fill out the sign and I'll take care of that. Tom Ford motion that.
[1:13:33]
Second up by Steve Haynes.
[1:13:35]
Any more discussion on it?
[1:13:39]
All those in favor?
[1:13:40]
All those opposed?
[1:13:43]
Motion carries.
[1:13:53]
Thank you for your patience.
[1:13:55]
Ha ha.
[1:13:57]
All right, pleasure to board.
[1:13:59]
I'm sure for it.
[1:14:00]
I just wanted to reiterate that taxes are due November 13th.
[1:14:04]
And you may have seen another form in with your tax bill.
[1:14:07]
It's the option to direct debit.
[1:14:09]
So it can come out of your banking account automatically.
[1:14:11]
Is that a skewer site?
[1:14:14]
Yes, it's through the bank.
[1:14:17]
So if you fill out the form, you can attach avoided check with it.
[1:14:20]
And if you fill it out, it will auto debit for this year's taxes.
[1:14:25]
And any future taxes until you ask that it be revoked.
[1:14:31]
And then just to reiterate, again, that the audit is in process.
[1:14:38]
and we'll be starting to collect information for that.
[1:14:43]
Yeah, that's all I got.
[1:14:43]
We're time for me in the first time for you.
[1:14:47]
For our listening audience, what are your September hours?
[1:14:52]
They are posted, but I will be here generally about every other day from 830 to about 2 to 230.
[1:15:00]
Thank you. And it varies week to week. So one week it'll be like Tuesday, Thursday, one week. It might be Monday, Wednesday, or Monday, Friday, but they are posted on my post at the week ahead of time.
[1:15:11]
My whole month schedule is right up on my door there.
[1:15:14]
No, do you have the ability to put it online?
[1:15:18]
I could share it to the D&B family's group if that's helpful.
[1:15:26]
If somebody's going to come up and pay their taxes, they can look on the website to see if, okay, she's there, or while she'll be there at whatever time.
[1:15:33]
Sure, and so I just want to put out there some hours are subject to change, but generally they don't.
[1:15:39]
So, but there may be a day that I may have to leave early or be excused early, but generally yes.
[1:15:46]
and we'd rather than the post there.
[1:15:48]
Yeah, I can ask you to do that.
[1:15:55]
I know the question, you know.
[1:15:58]
Thank you.
[1:15:59]
Chuck, for letting me get leads along.
[1:16:01]
Move me up to the top of the list.
[1:16:03]
Yeah, okay, I'll definitely.
[1:16:05]
Well, she may as she's going to be in on this HRE HSA thing in case we are.
[1:16:10]
Yeah, I did send it to her as well.
[1:16:11]
So the next item is reviewing this community health solutions HRE HSA proposal.
[1:16:19]
And not just to make a decision today, I wanted to get out of the front of us because it's
[1:16:22]
typing off.
[1:16:23]
It's going to be close for the open enrollment, none of us are happy with health equity.
[1:16:27]
So I actually was given this guy's name by an individual who does some work for another
[1:16:33]
business.
[1:16:34]
So I had called the President of this company.
[1:16:36]
It's a small company out of Massachusetts.
[1:16:38]
He calmered it back, spoke to me, he gave me some information, he changed emails, and then
[1:16:45]
he explained it, they're small, they're only a couple of years old.
[1:16:49]
They're roughly, I think they're 11, 12, 15 people, and based on a hangover mass.
[1:16:54]
They deal right now, probably in Massachusetts, Maine, and Hampshire.
[1:16:57]
They serve as a lot of missed values.
[1:16:59]
They explain the size of our town, the size of the people involved.
[1:17:03]
It's probably we've had always, and good stuff about.
[1:17:06]
They say they deal with folks that have three employees, you know, two a thousand.
[1:17:10]
And he says one of their, and you treat this.
[1:17:12]
And by what you have, two employees or a thousand, you would dedicate a calm manager.
[1:17:16]
You have someone that's dedicated to us, we obviously have other people, but you don't call like you call
[1:17:22]
Health equity, and you get a different person every time to the level, you'll be assigned someone
[1:17:28]
They gave you some brief reports with here, they put some left costs, but they do to me, they're a small company, you read it, they really shouldn't have direct contact and be involved
[1:17:40]
I would look at the series to consider
[1:17:42]
You know, and when would we be changing?
[1:17:44]
At the open room, I think it's a front and forth
[1:17:47]
of December, I think, generally.
[1:17:49]
And that's the time we would change the administer of our...
[1:17:52]
I usually do a new the HR, like December, for the public.
[1:17:56]
I think I'm not sure about how that interacts
[1:17:58]
with like the union negotiations.
[1:18:01]
See, I don't think the union cares about the company,
[1:18:04]
as long as we better it.
[1:18:06]
Let's put it this way.
[1:18:08]
But if we're not going to an HSA where I have a debit card,
[1:18:12]
I would rather bring my receipts in and hand them to her and have her write me a check and go through another private company.
[1:18:18]
No. Well, they do, I mean, he's obviously just company offers HSAs and HRAs to set debit cards. They offer different services.
[1:18:27]
So, these options are my only questions. You know, my idea is we have to, because that's the only thing timing was.
[1:18:33]
Well, I guess the only thing that I don't want to get into it forever tonight is,
[1:18:39]
And I could probably, and I understand that the HRA and HSA, you know, one's helped reimbursement
[1:18:49]
account, one's health savings account, but what the reason they went from the HSA to the
[1:18:55]
HRA, if there was any reason, then did it got.
[1:18:58]
Because at the time, the select word didn't want an employee to be able to take the money from
[1:19:04]
with them or to spend it on something that was not
[1:19:10]
health-related.
[1:19:15]
You just have to talk to me if we just need an electronic money, if they choose them.
[1:19:20]
Now, you go, I said, in the midst of this way, they might have used for expenses,
[1:19:24]
or I thought about their insurance plans, so that will be a
[1:19:27]
meal for the vision of their partner.
[1:19:29]
Right.
[1:19:32]
So, there are business, there are business to make money.
[1:19:37]
Where's the money coming from? Are we paying them a fee?
[1:19:41]
Yeah, so I think I tend to follow you both too.
[1:19:45]
But this would really be to our benefit to do what Steve suggested.
[1:19:50]
And just keep it right here.
[1:19:58]
Well, I agree with you.
[1:19:59]
And then let's keep it right in town.
[1:20:04]
Did we look into if there's any liabilities without having a middleman involved?
[1:20:10]
Yeah, it's a middle, not to be all like middle members,
[1:20:12]
but I think they're for a reason.
[1:20:13]
Everyone is because the health care system is fairly complicated.
[1:20:17]
And the things that aren't covered by it,
[1:20:21]
and then you're putting it then,
[1:20:22]
so who's going to be responsible for doing that stuff?
[1:20:24]
You know, I think to me, you know,
[1:20:28]
he said we don't need to say this tonight,
[1:20:30]
but I know it's because he's going to do all this.
[1:20:32]
Now she's going to take care of it,
[1:20:33]
right, and that's to the program without.
[1:20:37]
You know, we had a program that worked at one time,
[1:20:39]
so I'm mistaken.
[1:20:40]
It was a period of time you had to have a water trouble with it,
[1:20:44]
under some amount of time, you've got to go on your job.
[1:20:45]
Yeah, it was inside and out the order.
[1:20:47]
So I want to make a change, you know, I'm suggesting we can sort of change.
[1:20:50]
But keeping a third party of the ministers it, but one that we can actually deal with.
[1:20:54]
And if you guys, I'm just one member.
[1:20:56]
So if you guys want to look in the heaven,
[1:21:00]
so you've had a conversation with these guys,
[1:21:05]
I mean, I don't know if they may be a Zoom presentation or something.
[1:21:10]
I happen to call them and see if they want a birthday to come down here or do a Zoom thing because I just this is just to get you know
[1:21:16]
I just think he has any something so I have something to discuss with and everything they sent look good
[1:21:22]
But personally I'm done shy of these companies. I don't blame me at all. I say it's the difference is one is they're there are things for 15 people, right?
[1:21:32]
They deal with this bad. It's not saying that there's no particular pieces, they broke off from a big one, because of the issues.
[1:21:40]
It's a president, what he's both doing.
[1:21:43]
It's a perfect, but I think it's worth seeing if he wants to come talk to us, who aren't a zoo car or not.
[1:21:48]
I think it's worth having the meeting with him to go over it.
[1:21:54]
I mean, the worst case scenario is we spend a half hour in a family learning, something maybe.
[1:22:00]
And if somebody else wants to look into not having a third party, because Luke lost us in the middle of it.
[1:22:05]
Well, I didn't know if maybe he could tell us what the benefits are of them in the meeting.
[1:22:10]
So they'll have to be sure he could buy and tell us what the...
[1:22:12]
Right.
[1:22:12]
Yeah.
[1:22:13]
Yeah.
[1:22:14]
When guys give you their benefits, sometimes you find out that, you know, just from what they're saying.
[1:22:22]
No.
[1:22:22]
And I understand.
[1:22:23]
I'm not saying that this is a, you know, home run, but it's something to consider, because it's far different than that.
[1:22:29]
So I think one-
[1:22:30]
Something this whole board has agreed on is the company we were with, it's terrible job. So that wasn't even up for discussion to renew with them.
[1:22:39]
We needed a thousand, how many was it? A thousand boys to get a person and health equity?
[1:22:43]
To have me to talk to, you know, to have a person.
[1:22:46]
So I think we definitely, and then I guess we got to figure out is the amount of paperwork required because it may not be as simple as give you a check here, give you a check there.
[1:22:57]
And I think maybe in this presentation we could.
[1:23:03]
Yeah, no, I just wanted to get out front because I like to do something.
[1:23:06]
I don't want to keep it the same, and I guess that if there's...
[1:23:08]
Well, and the thing is, too, we're going to want to have some decisions which direction we're going
[1:23:12]
when we go to negotiation.
[1:23:16]
Okay, not like we are.
[1:23:17]
I'll reach out to him and see if he can, if he's willing to come down, this piece of work you want to set up both.
[1:23:22]
You know, do it through Zoom, which was so good at technology here.
[1:23:31]
Okay, well I'll reach out to Matt and see if he's willing to either come see us or
[1:23:39]
Sepa online meeting, all right, let's move on to the liquor license one, I don't want
[1:23:46]
to make this pain to either, but we've had this kind of, this has been, we've seen Sepa
[1:23:51]
come in this year, we did a couple of different does this micro kind of, don't we did
[1:23:56]
off track, I thought we would always, they used to just bring them in, and we would deal with them in our meetings, and it was basically a package to our kind of license, but now we're getting hit with these one day licenses.
[1:24:15]
I guess, so our concern is if we do it in the monthly meetings that we may miss out on the, well, the word has to get out to people that, you know, we want to have it to consider it.
[1:24:30]
Were you involved locker in that last one?
[1:24:34]
It was not.
[1:24:35]
I was not.
[1:24:35]
Okay, no.
[1:24:36]
I didn't know what the time was there and a model probably isn't enough.
[1:24:41]
But they reached out in time, luckily.
[1:24:42]
So they didn't have to submit.
[1:24:44]
But then some have it.
[1:24:45]
And we've been not totally consistent.
[1:24:49]
So, you know, if you look at the online process,
[1:24:51]
you start to try up there to those folks.
[1:24:52]
They're supposed to reach out to Miss Valley to see what's.
[1:24:55]
Because we are supposed to improve those.
[1:24:57]
We're certain what the certain isolated states are supposed to come for the board.
[1:24:59]
the first second, third class, places in my right, in town,
[1:25:04]
our school to come for the board.
[1:25:06]
But there was a piece in there with these special permits and things,
[1:25:10]
and I guess even partially other of those towns can
[1:25:12]
designate someone to do it, which, you know,
[1:25:16]
my mind, my mind was smoky after there's
[1:25:18]
reaction questions.
[1:25:19]
It's a good question for our part of board about how many people
[1:25:22]
go in there, you know, all right.
[1:25:24]
You know, there's some things that if we just, we're not
[1:25:26]
going to bring up for the public, the public doesn't know
[1:25:28]
about what's going on, and there's a very opportunity for the program to ask questions.
[1:25:34]
And I think Brad's right, if we do decide to do something, we have to probably should put it
[1:25:37]
for the creation of your role policy, and we should send it to the businesses we have, the
[1:25:42]
fund center, the campground, and then like Smokey House is a vendor, Yankee Vigiers, we have a list
[1:25:47]
of the people who apply for those special permits, you know, to spend this year there was
[1:25:51]
maybe good on our website saying that it requires 30 days so that it can be put on to the website
[1:25:57]
around to the right agenda and not trying to make more work for us but I guess it's being
[1:26:03]
consistent or we have to design it somebody and you know I don't have a problem. I think it's
[1:26:08]
a good idea to have it out. I'm just wondering if there's so are we're not setting policy tonight.
[1:26:14]
We're just going to discuss. And because I don't want to set policy and then think about it later
[1:26:19]
I don't go boy we screwed up this, this is this. What I do if you can I mean we should do now
[1:26:25]
We're okay with that. We can put together, maybe someone loves a volunteer, put together a sample of policy.
[1:26:31]
What? The one thing that kind of raw all this about was we didn't get our information in timely manner.
[1:26:38]
Right. We didn't have time to put on the pressure and then you're trying to keep the town.
[1:26:42]
We don't, they said things are happening in town. You have to me, to me, to be the one that says you didn't get your liquor license.
[1:26:48]
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it can be a simple as please submit 30 days prior to
[1:26:56]
You know, so I'm not I mean, I don't need to blow out that I just want to bring up again
[1:26:59]
I said in my thing if we want to put it in a policy the most in the sloppled up
[1:27:04]
I mean writing and then we can
[1:27:06]
Discuss it and vote on it. Hopefully in the next meeting and if anybody would love to volunteer to work on that be great
[1:27:11]
If not then I think I'll see if I can try to do it
[1:27:14]
volunteers
[1:27:16]
I think the last thing I've volunteered for, I didn't do any, so I don't want to do this.
[1:27:24]
Oh, it's open Brad, I didn't know if there's been a serious thing.
[1:27:29]
Now I can give the LCT a call, and see if they have a sample, so that's Brad, you know.
[1:27:35]
If you don't, I'm here to help.
[1:27:38]
Yeah, just keep talking, it's not very simple with it.
[1:27:43]
All right,
[1:27:46]
okay, now we can move it on next deal
[1:27:49]
Review and vote the pike in if you've been a theme contract. I think you guys saw that right
[1:27:54]
10 16 a ton. I think last year of 9.50 a ton. All right, which is just basically
[1:28:01]
inflationary and creativeness
[1:28:04]
So long as quality is there Steve that's your tell them no crap
[1:28:11]
I didn't tell them no crap, but I didn't get any of that.
[1:28:15]
Didn't get any of that, didn't get any of that, didn't get any of that, didn't get any of that.
[1:28:18]
No, you go up and ask, did it was good to say I won't tell them, this is what I want.
[1:28:23]
You know, last year it was good to say, two years ago, it wasn't so good.
[1:28:31]
Do they have a pile up yet?
[1:28:34]
I assume so, but I have not been up.
[1:28:38]
I guess I mean, I think we're good or price.
[1:28:41]
at the price, I just think that you should go up and look at the pile before you start
[1:28:46]
all and in case they just got through going through a dead sand vein.
[1:28:55]
I'll make the motion that we signed the contract for the sand.
[1:29:01]
I was like that.
[1:29:04]
Any more discussion?
[1:29:07]
All right.
[1:29:08]
Which we should say, if you want to put the price in the motion, that's for $10,000 and $16
[1:29:12]
at the time.
[1:29:15]
Do you have that all the next emotion out of it seconds for $10 and 16 cents a ton and all since 16 cents per ton from Pike Industries
[1:29:27]
All the favor I
[1:29:31]
That motion carries
[1:29:34]
Then we'll plan on going up next week to look at yeah, all right, you know, I kept tell them when you're making better
[1:29:46]
I think you need to show it this week.
[1:29:50]
We got our paving done.
[1:29:52]
Hopefully those are you.
[1:29:53]
That travel is Timoth Road.
[1:29:55]
I appreciate it.
[1:29:56]
We did have enough left to get the bump out of.
[1:30:00]
We did the little curve just past Eddie Lewis's and by Becky's. So that was our paving for the year. We're yet on culverts.
[1:30:13]
We've got, if I've got the excavator running, we've got a fourth order to do next week.
[1:30:20]
Lily Hill and then we're going to switch over to the bridge on craft Hill.
[1:30:32]
Yeah, I guess my question because I haven't talked yet all week as his Riley got to do
[1:30:39]
any more roadside mowing for some Riley mode last week one day and by time he got his
[1:30:49]
kids dropped off at school or whatever he was doing in the morning I was gone so I didn't
[1:30:55]
get a chance to speak to him to see when he's coming back.
[1:30:58]
I guess I did have in Kenny maybe more familiar with the area since he drives by it every day the intersection
[1:31:05]
Kifth Road and Scottsville Road where the bus turns around there, I guess.
[1:31:15]
If we can get that mode back a little farther.
[1:31:21]
Yeah, if Riley doesn't come either mirror, Larry can go up there and do that, so on afternoon.
[1:31:26]
Yeah, just I guess it's kind of also I realize it's state right of way, but when you're pulling out of Scott's
[1:31:33]
Phil Road and you're at the stop sign for Route 7 to look to the north. It's very hard to see because they didn't go all the way up the bank with the
[1:31:45]
mowing. So Scott's Phil Road when you look to the north. So you're looking basically at the lawn of the
[1:31:56]
The lawn, left to patch and who are removed for the state, left to patch, and it blocks your vision seeing cars coming from the north south.
[1:32:11]
So, it just needs one swipe, basically, but...
[1:32:15]
Would it help?
[1:32:17]
Yeah, no, I am.
[1:32:24]
I'm the stripping.
[1:32:26]
Why did they not mark the new black dot?
[1:32:28]
That's my next question.
[1:32:30]
Oh yeah, no, I was going to have you call their guy because I know why,
[1:32:34]
because they did it night, and they couldn't pick up center because it's too...
[1:32:39]
No, it's just, they did it, yeah, okay.
[1:32:42]
So the paint was what when I came to work that morning,
[1:32:47]
because they had combs up from the four corners down.
[1:32:50]
Okay. Well, thanks for bringing that up.
[1:32:54]
I had a meeting with Patrick yesterday too, I should have.
[1:32:57]
You think you could call him and then he's going to put you on to the line striping going in Patrick Wilson?
[1:33:02]
Yeah.
[1:33:02]
Yeah, I can call Patrick.
[1:33:04]
Patrick's going to give you the guy I can't remember his name who's in charge of it.
[1:33:08]
And ask him and I pretty sure they're not going to come back.
[1:33:11]
I mean, I can get that.
[1:33:15]
You know, I'll go do it if they won't.
[1:33:17]
I don't want to go do it.
[1:33:19]
I'll just try it for him.
[1:33:21]
But, so hopefully they come do it.
[1:33:25]
But yeah, no, that was pretty disappointing because that's pretty hard to see with the fog with the
[1:33:31]
Yeah, a couple more of them. So yeah, yeah, yeah, no, I mean, that's the state at work
[1:33:39]
All right, that's it for us. Yeah
[1:33:42]
Well, yes, and the only last thing on this night was the
[1:33:48]
Small scale local that highly safety proven thing. It did sense for more in the last time we talked to you
[1:33:52]
He's been trying to reach that
[1:33:57]
I'll get some more information on that, that cramply guard rails on the birth row, but then we've got another much information on the 37 pages from the state on this, for the form to sign, but they actually include it some more, this is the actual.
[1:34:16]
How much money are we getting?
[1:34:17]
40 and getting 43,890 dollars. That's a hundred percent match, so, and that was for a belief, it's for the
[1:34:28]
cargo replacements, a hundred percent match, because a hundred percent match for that. It's not
[1:34:35]
hundred percent, it's hundred percent fun. Yeah, oh, so, I mean, you got to love this 40. I'm sorry, I get a hundred
[1:34:42]
it funny, it's not funny from the town, but this is what's federal money state, it's a state,
[1:34:49]
administered, grab a ring through this. So we just have to make sure, you know, falling through
[1:34:54]
with all the, through all the stupidity, right, to get that money. So that would, and then your
[1:35:02]
contract, is it L&D or Ramak tennis courts or whatever they are that you can, I'm working on getting
[1:35:12]
my third quote, because according to the grant before we can award at that tree, okay,
[1:35:19]
just be sure they know that it is a federal job because they've spoken wages but will
[1:35:26]
apply which sometimes their numbers are different because of the fact that the rates are.
[1:35:34]
I hate to have a small company coming in, not be aware of the wages also for other prices I've
[1:35:42]
another one company Lafayette. My little beggar.
[1:35:48]
Just, you know, I'm more wary because for the federal government, if you don't cross
[1:35:52]
the things I hate to come back. Yeah, I mean, that's the best thing we've gotten from
[1:35:57]
on the long time, 100% match. So I just thought that we want to wait on this to make sure
[1:36:04]
that we can still back out. If you sign this, it says you have so much time to back out
[1:36:08]
And the question is, you have some point to sign it to say we want to keep moving forward.
[1:36:12]
I think.
[1:36:13]
I mean, why would we not anyone have any reason?
[1:36:16]
Just as long as we can fulfill the requirements that he's trying to get the third,
[1:36:20]
yeah, I mean, they're have to probably go to an out-of-state company, but we have to
[1:36:23]
July of 28 to complete the work it says.
[1:36:26]
But he said, there's a lot of things going on in that price.
[1:36:30]
Right.
[1:36:31]
I mean, when I talked with Brent, he said that they were going to honor the quote,
[1:36:36]
but prices have gone off. So I was in hopes we could move quicker than not if we're going to do it.
[1:36:44]
So it's reimbursement. They'll correct. We have to actually pay them. They're going to reimburse us.
[1:36:50]
Yes. That's my understanding is we pay them. One work is completed. Then we get paid.
[1:36:57]
Steve has some stuff. You probably read a US of stuff. You have to submit to them and all this stuff.
[1:37:01]
you know, but they do require three, they don't worry. We're looking at that. One of the
[1:37:08]
ones, Greg and I were looking at it said that we had to have three prices. We have to then
[1:37:14]
you were able to obtain two. I have two right now. The third one I talked with the girl a second time
[1:37:20]
on the phone because she they wanted to know who was removing the guardrails and they told them
[1:37:26]
because
[1:37:30]
We're not supposed to tear a guardrail down without it going right back up, so I don't want us to get into the position of me and Larry of torn guardrail down, and they don't show up that day, and they needed to know about the getting rid of the wooden post, which I figured I would, depending on who's doing it, I would put one of my roll off containers there and just have them loaded post into the containers.
[1:38:01]
So it's easier for them to load and we're not tied up all day trying to put it on a trailer
[1:38:08]
and get them off later.
[1:38:12]
It would just got the body, went it up on at the end of the day.
[1:38:16]
So that's that whole band that fox combo on both sides.
[1:38:20]
That's a fox combo.
[1:38:24]
Well, I don't see any reason.
[1:38:25]
We don't keep moving forward with that.
[1:38:27]
Yeah, so I guess other than we'd never usually get that good of grants from anybody.
[1:38:32]
Now if you have to keep moving forwards I just want a motion that allows me to sign this.
[1:38:36]
I will make the motion that you sign up.
[1:38:38]
I will sign up.
[1:38:42]
I will repeat that and I will create a motion and I will start with a forward forward.
[1:38:51]
Follow the favor.
[1:38:53]
I will pose that motion carries.
[1:38:56]
New Bethes.
[1:39:02]
We are in none and I take a motion to adjourn.
[1:39:05]
I will make the motion.
[1:39:07]
I will circle that.
[1:39:08]
Peace and thank you.
[1:39:09]
Follow the favor?
[1:39:10]
All right, all right, all right, all right.
[1:39:12]
You got to go right now.
[1:39:13]
Meeting is a journey to eight o'clock.
