[0:12]
So, to refresh all of our memories, which are, we're at 4.02.040, 040. Okay, thank you.
[0:30]
And on my iPad, it's page 87,
[0:36]
line 13 through 18.
[0:47]
Oh, he has two spots. Okay. Okay.
[0:50]
Okay.
[0:57]
The first spot here is under 2.04.485, where supervisors are asking that the wording
[1:06]
stay the same and not be changed. So it would read the annual budget from the County
[1:13]
Board to the committee provide its recommendations, recommendations to the County Board instead
[1:22]
Instead of the proposed recommended budget.
[1:25]
So
[1:30]
we haven't made, I was just having to pull it up, but thank you for that.
[1:38]
Okay.
[1:39]
So we have a motion by supervisor Schmeier and I need a second to move forward on this.
[1:48]
So supervisor Dunning seconds in order to move forward on the amendment.
[2:02]
It's not clear out in radio land what the amendment is.
[2:05]
You know what, I'm having the same problem because I can, my eyes are not able to read it so far away from me.
[2:16]
May I?
[2:27]
I'm asking the clerk to help me to clarify the two places.
[2:34]
The first place is lines 22 of the section 2.04.485 and that would be to not make the strike
[2:48]
out there, leave it as worded, provide its recommendations to the county board.
[2:56]
So would it be two separate amendments and then the second one is in section 4.02.040.
[3:07]
Line 17, yeah 17 and 18, which is also to use the original wording where it would say committee
[3:16]
on Finance and Budget, shall submit to the Board its recommendation of the proposed budget.
[3:22]
The only clarification would might entertain is to clarify recommendation because it
[3:29]
includes amendments or amendments recommendations. To me, it doesn't matter because they're the same.
[3:38]
And I'd like to provide a brief rationale.
[3:41]
Now, my interest is that what comes back from budget and finance is not the budget as
[3:51]
by-net budget and finance has changed it, but the administrator's budget and however
[3:57]
we want to clarify what it is a budget and finance is saying should change, whether that's
[4:03]
a recommendation or an amendment.
[4:05]
So the document that Supervisor Pagonis described, I think, would meet that requirement.
[4:13]
I just want to make sure that what comes back to the board is not the administrative
[4:17]
budget, which budget and finance has changed and is now presenting to the board.
[4:23]
That's my intent.
[4:27]
Are there any other comments or questions about this was the second one the first one was
[4:38]
earlier in the section up here section 2.04.485. Okay and then the so that's
[4:50]
and then the second one was down here in section 4.020.040.
[5:00]
917 and 18.
[5:05]
So in both cases, Supervisor Schmeyer, I'd like to keep the wording as it was.
[5:13]
So I would done discussing it here. But unless I'm missing the boat here, wording as it was, would put back in amendments to the administrators and just say budget. So the way. No. Well, but that's what that if it's reverting back.
[5:35]
That's what it would say.
[5:38]
What I want to do is remove the strikeout.
[5:40]
I'm sorry.
[5:42]
Remove the changed version that's here.
[5:45]
To go back to what it's changing from.
[5:48]
Now my understanding is the original is struck out with a line.
[5:52]
Is that correct?
[5:53]
Yes.
[5:54]
So I want to be amendments to the administrators is within the original.
[5:59]
Yes.
[6:00]
And you want that put back in.
[6:02]
Okay. All right. Just one and so and you're leaving in of the proposed budget of the proposed because that's additional language. It's not a proposed budget. Okay.
[6:16]
So can I read this and tell me if I'm correct because I'm still confused after such listening sessions.
[6:25]
the committee on budget and finance that shall submit to the board its recommendation for amendments to the administrator's budget.
[6:37]
Is that correct?
[6:40]
That's reverting it back to whether it's original.
[6:43]
Yes.
[6:44]
Okay, so should I read that to everybody again?
[6:47]
Does everybody got it?
[6:49]
Okay, and then 42045 is that was that was 4.0 2.0 4.0 the other one was earlier on in section 2.0 4.485 he wants to leave it as provided's recommendations to the county board.
[7:13]
Yes, that's correct.
[7:23]
Okay, so we have several comments.
[7:27]
Supervisor Pagones, this has to be two amendments, correct?
[7:31]
Yes, thank you.
[7:33]
So the proposed amendment defeats the purpose of our revisions here.
[7:40]
The point of the revisions is for increased improved collaboration between the county administrator and the committee on finance and budget.
[7:50]
It was lost over the last eight years, and we would like to restore it.
[7:57]
Part of the restoration is the transparency that I keep talking about.
[8:04]
Certainly finance and budget would have some type of narrative if they make changes.
[8:08]
But by going back to amendments to the administrators budget, it just puts us back with no role
[8:18]
as a finance and budget committee.
[8:20]
It removes the purpose of finance and budget committee.
[8:25]
So that's the part of the point behind making these changes, is that we're looking for improved collaboration.
[8:34]
Thank you.
[8:35]
Supervisor Wilkie.
[8:37]
Well, our finance chair, Andy Hitton, what I was thrust of what I wanted to say.
[8:46]
We're trying to get away from making amendments on the administrators recommended budget.
[8:55]
That's still submitted to you.
[8:57]
You see that?
[8:58]
You're making with this proposed amendment, you're going right back to that as the process.
[9:06]
Whereas the original resolution brought us back to the Finance and Budget Committee actually
[9:13]
having some authority, some privilege to be a finance and budget committee, and present it
[9:20]
to you all at once in their column, not a bunch of piecemealed amendments to get it where they
[9:27]
recommend it to be. I strongly encourage you to defeat this amendment otherwise. In fact, you have
[9:36]
taking away the good progress that has been made here. I would also suggest to you, it's my
[9:43]
understanding and they can speak up if I misspoke that the administrator, our current administrator,
[10:00]
Director, is just fine with what's before you without the amendment. Your court council is just fine with what's before you without the amendment. Don't mess it up.
[10:15]
Thank you. Supervisor Deluca.
[10:19]
I'm kind of reverting back to when I first came on the board in about 2016, 2017. We had two columns that came
[10:30]
in the budget process, and the administrator's budget was listed, and then in the column next to it was the finance and budget recommended changes to the budget.
[10:43]
And during that time, I don't remember it stating which one we were actually working off of.
[10:51]
I think what Supervisor Snier is concerned about is that we're defining we're only going
[11:00]
to work off of the Finance and Budget 1, which you could revert back to administrators,
[11:06]
you know, and so forth.
[11:07]
So I don't know, because that's that proposed budget, is there a way that, you know, we can
[11:17]
have those columns there, see them and just debate what's there, not saying which one we're
[11:24]
going to start working off of. I think that is kind of his concern.
[11:30]
I think you're absolutely right. Supervisor or Director Sumanski, you had a comment?
[11:36]
No, I just just procedurally we need to establish where we have what we have is a starting point,
[11:43]
So we decide where we need to have amendments and whether it needs to be a vote, right?
[11:49]
If we start with the Committee on Finance and Budget's budget, we don't have to vote on
[11:56]
their changes.
[11:56]
If we start with the Administrator's budget, then we would have to vote on their changes.
[12:01]
There's a board in the hall.
[12:02]
Vote on changes.
[12:03]
So if we agreed with the Administrator, correct, the Administrator's budget, we would then
[12:08]
and make an amendment to go back to the administrative budget?
[12:11]
That's where I'm...
[12:12]
Yes, yes, so that's the next step.
[12:14]
So that's how you would, if a supervisor did not agree,
[12:18]
then, with the Canadian finances budget,
[12:20]
they would have to propose an amendment to go back
[12:24]
to the administrators, but...
[12:26]
Perfect.
[12:26]
Does that make sense?
[12:27]
The difference between the two?
[12:29]
Administrator Johnson, would you like to weigh in on this
[12:32]
or try to figure it out?
[12:34]
Well, to go to Supervisor DeLuke's point,
[12:36]
I think it's hard to envision it, but there will be a progression in a logical flow
[12:42]
left to right, in totality as we go forward, right?
[12:46]
So that's how we'll view that, so we know how that budget is being developed.
[12:51]
So in each column, you might see something, right?
[12:54]
Whether it's administrator's budget, you'll see that, but then if the Finance and Budget
[12:58]
Committee along with Finance Director and myself, we use this side.
[13:01]
Oh, I missed that.
[13:02]
But there's something we could have taken care of, the Finance and Budget Committee, or
[13:07]
could be from another committee, will make that change and that goes from left to right.
[13:13]
So the budget document continues to move forward in that progression.
[13:17]
So it's not a column to column.
[13:19]
It's all working together in that direction from left to right.
[13:23]
And you'll see those numbers that way.
[13:29]
So, the Super Buds are Schmeier.
[13:31]
Again, my concern is that what comes back to the board from budget and finance is the administrator's budget along with the recommended changes.
[13:45]
The way that this is phrased makes it seem as if the committee and budget and finance is sending back to the board a changed administrator's budget.
[13:55]
Here's what we're recommending.
[13:57]
Yes.
[13:58]
And let me finish, please.
[14:01]
And so it's the administrator who has the authority to draw up the budget and submit it.
[14:07]
Budget and finance does not have the authority to make changes in that budget, but I certainly
[14:14]
like the idea of laying it out clearly.
[14:18]
Here's the budget.
[14:19]
Here are the changes.
[14:20]
If we do it in the column format, I don't care how it's done.
[14:23]
I just wanted to be sure that what we get back from budget finance is the administrative
[14:28]
budget along with the wisdom of the finance and budget committee and that can be done
[14:35]
in the way that was described by the supervisor Pagonis in the document.
[14:40]
I just want to make sure that what comes back is not a changed administrative budget.
[14:46]
Yes, it is.
[14:47]
That's all.
[14:48]
Yes, sir.
[14:48]
Thank you.
[14:50]
Supervisors look.
[14:51]
Thank you. I think we kind of get caught up in language sometimes because we talk about the
[14:58]
administrator's budget and it's
[15:00]
It's really not. It's the county's budget. It's the administrators recommended of how we should run our budget. Using this format, we are simply saying we have the opportunity to see both numbers. So it's not that you're changing the administrators suggested at all. You're putting yours right next to it. And if we say this is the line we want to go forward with.
[15:29]
first it's like director Samansky's dad any supervisor can always say well I
[15:35]
would have rather had the back one let's amend to go there otherwise my first
[15:41]
year on finance and budget I think we had 22 amendments last year we got off
[15:46]
easy so this would simplify it and it really is everything on the same page so
[15:54]
So nobody's taking one budget over another.
[15:58]
So I would vote no to this amendment, and let's get this program going.
[16:04]
Thank you.
[16:06]
Well, I think at this point, we should go to vote on the amendment, and everyone's clear on what the amendment is, I think we've drilled it and drilled it.
[16:20]
Oh, I don't know if she can, she would have to email it to you to have it show up on your pad, right?
[16:55]
It's my point. We can't vote on my pad.
[17:06]
So what you're seeing on the screen is being recorded along with our discussion. So this is, you know, right.
[17:11]
So the vote I described it as the areas of a amendment by supervisor Schmeyer. Do you see that part on your iPad?
[17:19]
No, my thing is covered up by what no, I don't know what it is. That's not working right. You don't see that
[17:29]
Okay, can you see what's on the screen? Yes, there you can read that. I
[17:36]
Can read that yes. Okay, so when is this damn thing?
[17:39]
is called questions. So everybody's ready to vote on. No, it's no, it won't up on me.
[17:51]
Oh, yeah, what just happened.
[18:01]
Patient. No, but I don't have to kill it.
[18:06]
Yeah, sorry, this is still working. So sorry,
[18:09]
I went to the WCA handbook and in the handbook in the budget calendar timeline it specifically
[18:21]
says the finance committee submits the amended budget proposal to the county board.
[18:28]
So it's the WCA according to Supervisor Smirer, WCA has it wrong.
[18:35]
Yeah, or different. Well, okay. Super supervisor Schmeier, do you want one last while we're bigger in this out? No. Well, we have we have
[18:47]
we want to vote. I can't wait to vote. Can you get it up now? Okay. Okay. So this is we're voting now on the amendment that we've just discussed.
[19:00]
So if you agree with the amendment, you are going to vote yes.
[19:09]
Schneider, no, confirm.
[19:11]
No, confirmed.
[19:14]
Leary, no, confirmed.
[19:16]
Ickley.
[19:19]
Ickley, no.
[19:20]
No, confirmed.
[19:23]
Tom, sick.
[19:27]
Yes, no.
[19:28]
I can't hear you, I'm sorry.
[19:33]
Who's going?
[19:39]
Yes. Yes. Confirms.
[19:48]
Good boy. No. Confirmed. Anyone else who can't get their machine to work? Kirk. No. Kirk doll. No. Night. No.
[20:02]
Okay. We had five yeses, 22 no to absent, so the amendment does fail. So let's go on to the proposed. Back to the proposed. I got to find it here.
[20:27]
File 22 dash 20, 22, 25 dash 26 slash 047.
[20:36]
This is the original ordinance now and I think we will just go to a vote on the original ordinance.
[20:46]
If you agree with the original ordinance, you will vote yes, the change to how we are going to do our budget.
[20:59]
Yes, confirmed.
[21:00]
Nighter, yes, confirmed.
[21:02]
Ikely.
[21:07]
Ikely, yes.
[21:08]
Yes, confirmed.
[21:10]
Tomseck.
[21:11]
Yes.
[21:12]
Confirmed.
[21:13]
Good boy.
[21:14]
Yes.
[21:16]
Confirmed.
[21:17]
Who else?
[21:18]
Anybody else?
[21:19]
Night.
[21:20]
Yes, confirmed.
[21:23]
All right.
[21:24]
We have 27, yes, and two absent.
[21:28]
So it does pass.
[21:29]
Thank you all for a very good debate.
[21:32]
debate.
[21:35]
Now we are on 25-26-006.
[21:45]
How is it to do with our fun balance?
[21:52]
A resolution
[21:53]
on financial policy, fun balance policy.
[21:58]
So I have a motion by supervisor theory, a
[22:01]
second by supervisor Wilkie, explanation by supervisor Pagona. Thank you. You've seen
[22:09]
this several times, this version of the fund balance policy was an iterative process.
[22:16]
It started with Supervisor Zook with some sentences, which I then expanded to add more sentences,
[22:23]
and then we sent it to Director Semanski, who put in even more sentences and all the hard
[22:30]
parts of the definitions and the explanations.
[22:35]
So, one of the pieces of this is that the madam treasure would like a fund balance of
[22:44]
$15 million.
[22:45]
She says it's necessary for cash flow.
[22:48]
She was pretty irate after the last time it failed because she was quite clear with me.
[22:56]
This is what we need for cash flow.
[22:59]
So, we went through, like as I said, an iterative process,
[23:03]
how do we back into it?
[23:05]
How do we come up with it?
[23:07]
And so, it was Supervisor Zook,
[23:10]
said if we take the tax levy,
[23:12]
and we take our sales tax,
[23:16]
and we combine them,
[23:17]
and then use that as our basis.
[23:20]
And so, that's pretty much what we've done.
[23:23]
It's important to note that
[23:25]
that the fund balance policy is a policy to not remove money from the fund balance.
[23:32]
It doesn't really have much information on how it gets there.
[23:36]
It's just to avoid removing it.
[23:38]
So Attorney Macklewam said, well, if you're going to make a budget amendment, the money
[23:44]
has come from somewhere.
[23:46]
Well, I remember years past where some department needed XYZ and we took it out of the fund balance,
[23:53]
and that became a habit and so this is now trying to put the fund balance into a more controlled
[24:07]
or secure situation to avoid having just we need $600,000 in under for SNAP and boom taking
[24:19]
it out of the fund balance.
[24:20]
So that's what the point of it is to avoid removing the money from the fund balance.
[24:29]
Thank you. Supervisor Suck.
[24:32]
Oh, yeah. Thank you, Chair.
[24:34]
I want to give you a quick summary of what I feel this fund balance policy is the corrections are for.
[24:44]
Again, the key elements are basics.
[24:47]
The objective or outcome really of a unassigned fund balance is not the technical term because
[24:56]
money left over from our normal operations.
[25:00]
But it's to provide some working capital for what we need at certain times. It also adds for a margin of stability in our operations. If we have some highs and lows, we've had a little bit of cash reserve there to keep it on an even basis. It improves credit because the credit companies all banks all like to know how your financial status is.
[25:29]
is and having a decent fund balance does prove that.
[25:34]
So in the end, what we have there over our particular item
[25:41]
has basic purposes.
[25:44]
It's to maintain capital improvements,
[25:47]
to manage debt, to pay for future capital,
[25:51]
or what's referred to as pay as you go,
[25:54]
and be there if we need it for these purposes.
[25:59]
or the excess can be used for these purposes.
[26:02]
The items we've done, the corrections we've made,
[26:07]
were to not raise the dollar figures
[26:11]
if you look over the last five year history.
[26:14]
We have been everywhere from 13 million to 20 million.
[26:17]
So the item right now being at 15.8 is not out of the question.
[26:24]
It's easier to calculate with just using the revenue from levy and from local sales tax so everybody can calculate themselves, you don't have to figure if somebody's done it correctly or not.
[26:41]
And the way we've written it, we are attempting very drastically to produce or reduce opportunities for any misuse of that fund.
[26:52]
So it defines it better when we do it this way, it reduces misuse and it's logical numbers
[27:01]
that fit our profile without us having to go out and look for more money.
[27:05]
So I would encourage everybody to do this.
[27:08]
It's a great opportunity to get this finally completed to a process where we can now understand
[27:14]
it.
[27:15]
Thank you.
[27:15]
Thank you. Director Sterman, do you want to add any any more detail to this? No, I think
[27:22]
I think the supervisor is looking but going to sit up. Could you have some raise? Great.
[27:27]
Are there any? Oh, supervisor. Schneider with the question. Okay. Supervisor Russell, then
[27:32]
supervisor Schneider, then supervisor Meyer. Supervisor Russell. Thank you, Chair coffee. A couple
[27:39]
of questions. I was wondering how contingency fund fits into this. Is it part of the unassigned
[27:45]
fund balance, or is that a safe separate account?
[27:49]
Okay. So, I can answer that.
[27:51]
For 2025, it has been, the contingency has been part of the fund balance.
[27:56]
But for 2026, we're separating it.
[27:59]
Okay.
[27:59]
So, the contingency is going to be separate.
[28:01]
Right. Thank you.
[28:02]
And then, I just wanted a little more explanation on setting aside funds for future capital projects.
[28:10]
I think Supervisor Zooka alluded to that, is this like a savings account for cap projects
[28:16]
or how does that exactly work?
[28:20]
We've spoken frequently about facilities having to year after year borrow for things that
[28:27]
seemed to us as though it's a maintenance thing, and so I think yes, if we could have some
[28:37]
type of a pool that, you know, we're collecting so that for the purposes of having it available.
[28:44]
Yes. Okay. Thank you. Thank you.
[28:48]
Chair. Is there snow? Oh, I just want to answer.
[28:50]
Real, real quickly. Line two of the previous fund balance policy over the last ten odd years
[28:59]
says, pay future capital or pay as you go capital. That's where it came from. It's always been
[29:06]
there. Okay thank you. Supervisor Schneider.
[29:12]
So in the situation now suddenly we got a pay for
[29:18]
SNAP where does where would that come from next year? Contingency. And where would it come from this
[29:29]
year? Contingency. Oh this year we don't know we haven't seen numbers but for next year if it
[29:38]
If that's 600,000 is an accurate, even semi-accurate amount, it would probably be contingency.
[29:46]
Thank you.
[29:48]
Thank you.
[29:48]
Supervisor Zuck?
[29:50]
The process now is that if a request like that in a department has to be addressed, they
[29:58]
we will go to the finance director.
[30:00]
And he will determine if it can be done within their own department or not, and then refer to us at the Finance and Budget Committee, and we will address it on where it can come from. Not an automatic, just read it. Thank you for that clarification. We're learning all this. It's new to us. So thank you for that. Let's see. Supervisor Schmeyer. Did Schneider have a chance? Oh, yeah.
[30:29]
Yep.
[30:30]
I thought so.
[30:31]
Okay.
[30:32]
Yeah.
[30:32]
Sorry.
[30:33]
All right.
[30:34]
Well, the supervisor is okay.
[30:35]
I answered half of my question.
[30:37]
Okay.
[30:38]
So in the process that's being proposed for release of funds, the request goes to the finance
[30:47]
director and then from the finance director to budget and finance.
[30:52]
Correct.
[30:54]
Is that what you said?
[30:56]
Correct.
[30:57]
That's what he just said.
[30:58]
Yeah, okay, and then so this budget to finance a
[31:04]
Prove a budget transfer like that
[31:10]
Based on this word we're supposed to be talking about the fund balance policy
[31:16]
so
[31:18]
You're getting kind of off track a little
[31:23]
Sorry, sorry at some point we're gonna come to the use of the fund
[31:28]
No, correct.
[31:29]
What the fund balance?
[31:32]
I don't know where it is.
[31:35]
Because this policy is an amazing to do with the contingency fund.
[31:39]
I'm not talking about contingency fund.
[31:41]
Oh.
[31:41]
I'm talking about requests for use of the process.
[31:44]
The process for tapping into the unrestricted fund.
[31:49]
Well, I mean that's contingency.
[31:51]
No, there's more contingency.
[31:53]
It's just a section of that.
[31:56]
Fun balance usage is a budget amendment that would require two-thirds vote.
[32:00]
Right, of the board.
[32:02]
Of this board?
[32:03]
Yes.
[32:06]
Okay.
[32:07]
Does this amendment to the budget?
[32:09]
Yes.
[32:11]
Okay.
[32:11]
If that's what it is, I withdraw my question.
[32:14]
I was concerned that maybe budget defining answer was approving some financial transaction that
[32:21]
belongs to the board.
[32:22]
That was my concern.
[32:23]
No.
[32:24]
Thank you.
[32:27]
Supervisor Wilkie.
[32:29]
Maybe a question for the chair of finance.
[32:34]
I'm assuming from this fund balance policy that it prevents me from
[32:40]
during budget deliberations,
[32:43]
rating the fund balance for something I'd really like to fund.
[32:47]
Is that the intent?
[32:48]
Yes.
[32:48]
Yes.
[32:48]
Yes.
[32:49]
Okay.
[32:53]
I see no other comments.
[32:58]
No.
[32:59]
This is just a policy.
[33:00]
Policy.
[33:01]
So, this is the majority vote.
[33:04]
So, are we ready to go to vote?
[33:06]
I think I'm hearing.
[33:07]
You need to go to the present.
[33:08]
Okay.
[33:09]
So, this is our 006 resolution concerning financial policy, fund balance policy.
[33:20]
If you agree with the policy as it's been written, you will vote yes.
[33:28]
Schneider, yes, confirm?
[33:30]
Yes, confirmed.
[33:31]
Ickley?
[33:32]
Ickley, yes.
[33:35]
Confirmed, Tomzek?
[33:38]
Yes.
[33:38]
Yes, confirmed.
[33:40]
Good boy.
[33:42]
Yes, confirmed.
[33:45]
Night?
[33:46]
Yes, confirmed.
[33:48]
termed. We have yes 27 to absent. Thank you. We are on our last resolution 25-26-06-0.
[34:07]
The resolution authorizing a 2025 budget amendment for approval of 2025 grant awards,
[34:13]
Donations and other revenue given to O'Claire County.
[34:18]
I have a motion by supervisor Myron, a second by supervisor Jillson, and
[34:25]
explanation by supervisor Pagones.
[34:28]
Thank you. I think this is dumb that we have to do this.
[34:31]
So basically we've gotten a bunch of grants and now we're supposed to vote to say,
[34:35]
oh sure, we really want it.
[34:37]
And just so everyone knows the new title for has given this authority to the
[34:41]
finance director doesn't have to come here once the grant is awarded that it's been the
[34:47]
finance director has the authority to put it into our budget. So these are all things
[34:52]
that actually typically we hear about a department wanting to apply.
[35:00]
For the grant. And this is now the grant has been received. So if there were some reason
[35:07]
where you didn't think we should have that extra money, then you don't know. Otherwise, please
[35:11]
approve this. Thank you. Short and sweet. And I see that our point has been rescinded,
[35:19]
our question. So are there any other questions to comment? Oh, supervisor Skinner. Question?
[35:28]
No, okay. No, it's that magic button. It's yeah, crazy on it. Okay, so we will move forward with the vote for the resolution authorizing a
[35:39]
2025 budget amendment for the approval of 2025 grants award if you agree vote. Yes
[35:49]
Schneider yes, confirm
[35:51]
Confirmed Ike Lee Ike Lee. Yes, confirmed. Thompson
[35:58]
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry. I am I have just mutilated your name several times tonight. I am just very sorry.
[36:06]
Tom Sack.
[36:09]
Yes. And we have good boy. Yes. Night. Yes. All right.
[36:17]
27 yes to absent. There are no appointments tonight. We have an announcement by
[36:28]
supervisor Skinner and I'm sorry. We'll have to wait just a minute because I
[36:33]
can't press the button. Here we go. Thank you. And it's not really an
[36:37]
announcement but just to make you aware I sent you all an email about Lake O'Clair
[36:44]
just to make you aware that Oclare County is getting one heck of a bargain out of all the volunteers at the lakes and there was a pavilion there that they stripped down to its studs or steel beams because of mold and with no roof it sat there unused.
[36:59]
And finally one lake resident said this is ridiculous and went to the Amish got the price quotes because the county we got the quote for $100,000 to put a roof on this thing.
[37:11]
and the Amish with the help of Lake Volunteers came out last Saturday and they
[37:16]
did it for about six thousand bucks. What a deal. So how do you save a hundred
[37:23]
thousand dollars for Oakwood County in one day? Volunteers and so it was in
[37:28]
today's Oakwood Leader Telegram on the second page so you can read more about it.
[37:33]
But that should all give us a good smile as we go into our budget session. So there
[37:37]
you go. Thank you for that great work. Any other announcements? We are adjourned.
[37:45]
Supervisor Skinner wasn't announced because that's what the agenda said.
[37:49]
What? I'm sorry. It wasn't not really an announcement. Yes it was because it wasn't.
